Abstract
Photosensitive lanthanide-based single-molecule magnets (Ln-SMM) are very attractive for their potential applications in information storage, switching, and sensors. However, the light-driven structural transformation in Ln-SMMs hardly changes the coordination number of the lanthanide ion. Herein, for the first time it is reported that X-ray (λ=0.71073 Å) irradiation can break the coordination bond of Dy-OH2 in the three-dimensional (3D) metal-organic framework Dy2 (amp2 H2 )3 (H2 O)6 ⋅ 4H2 O (MDAF-5), in which the {Dy2 (OPO)2 } dimers are cross-linked by dianthracene-phosphonate ligands. The structural transformation proceeds in a single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SC-SC) fashion, forming the new phase Dy2 (amp2 H2 )3 (H2 O)4 ⋅ 4H2 O (MDAF-5-X). The phase transition is accompanied by a significant change in magnetic properties due to the alteration in coordination geometry of the DyIII ion from a distorted pentagonal bipyramid in MDAF-5 to a distorted octahedron in MDAF-5-X.

Abstract
Fluorinated Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), comprising a wheel-shaped ligand with geminal rotating fluorine atoms, produced benchmark mobility of correlated dipolar rotors at 2 K, with practically null activation energy (Ea =17 cal mol-1 ). 1 H T1 NMR revealed multiple relaxation phenomena due to the exchange among correlated dipole-rotor configurations. Synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction at 4 K, Density Functional Theory, Molecular Dynamics and phonon calculations showed the fluid landscape and pointed out a cascade mechanism converting dipole configurations into each other. Gas accessibility, shown by hyperpolarized-Xe NMR, allowed for chemical stimuli intervention: CO2 triggered dipole reorientation, reducing their collective dynamics and stimulating a dipole configuration change in the crystal. Dynamic materials under limited thermal noise and high responsiveness enable the fabrication of molecular machines with low energy dissipation and controllable dynamics.

Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), as a class of new inorganic-organic hybrid crystal materials, could have important applications in near-infrared (NIR) photothermal conversion. Herein, a new charge-transfer MOF (Co-MOF) with mixed ligands of H4 TTFTB and bpmNDI incorporating redox-active tetrathiafulvalene/naphthalene diimide (TTF/NDI) units into one system is reported. Due to the presence of TTF/NDI oxidative and reductive couples, stable radicals can be observed in the MOF. In addition, charge transfer from the electron donor (TTF) to the acceptor (NDI) results in a broad absorption in the NIR region. The Co-MOF exhibited an efficient photothermal effect induced by irradiation with a NIR laser. Under the 808 nm laser (0.7 W cm-2 ) illumination, the temperature of the Co-MOF increased from room temperature to 201 °C in only 10 s. Furthermore, a series of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films doped with trace amounts of Co-MOF showed efficient NIR photothermal conversion. When a Co-MOF@PDMS (0.6 wt %) film is irradiated by 808 nm laser with power of 0.5 W cm-2 , it's temperature can reach a plateau at 62 °C from 20 °C within 100 s. Our experimental results from the Co-MOF@PDMS film demonstrate that the effectiveness and feasibility of the material is promising for photothermal applications.

Abstract
We demonstrate herein an all-optical switch based on stimuli-responsive and photochromic-free metal-organic framework (HKUST-1). Ultrafast near-infrared laser pulses stimulate a reversible 0.4 eV blue shift of the absorption band with up to 200 s-1 rate due to dehydration and concomitant shrinking of the structure-forming [Cu2 C4 O8 ] cages of HKUST-1. Such light-induced switching enables the remote modulation of intensities of photoluminescence of single crystals of HKUST-1 as well visible radiation passing through the crystal by 2 order of magnitude. This opens up the possibility of utilyzing stimuli-responsive MOFs for all-optical data processing devices.
