Abstract
Sphingosine analogues with a rigid triazole moiety in the aliphatic chain and systematic modifications in the polar head and different degrees of fluorination at the terminus of the alkylic chain were synthesized from a common alkynyl aziridine key synthon. This key synthon was obtained by enantioselective organocatalyzed aziridination and it was subsequently ring opened in a regioselective manner in acidic medium. Up to 16 sphingosine analogues were prepared in a straightforward manner. The in vitro activity of the obtained products as SPHK1 and SPHK2 inhibitors was evaluated, displaying comparable activity to that of DMS.

Abstract
The electrochemical reduction of 2-(2,2-dibromovinyl)naphthalene in a DMF solution (Pt cathode) yields selectively 2-ethynylnaphthalene or 2-(bromoethynyl)naphthalene in high yields, depending on the electrolysis conditions. In particular, by simply changing the working potential and the supporting electrolyte, the reaction can be directed towards the synthesis of the terminal alkyne (Et4NBF4) or the bromoalkyne (NaClO4). This study allowed to establish that 2-(bromoethynyl)naphthalene can be converted into 2-ethynylnaphthalene by cathodic reduction.

Abstract
The reactions of a series of alkyl X-phenylpropiolates with 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and triphenylphosphine led to benzochromenes in moderate yields. When the reactions were performed in the presence of bis(4-methoxyphenyl)phenylphosphine instead of triphenylphosphine, the rate and yields of the reactions increased. Reaction yields were enhanced for alkyl X-phenylpropiolates when X was an electron-deficient substituent such as CF3 or Cl, thus showing that the electronic effect of substituents plays an important role in the reactions.

Abstract
Application of diethyl 1-diazo-2-oxopropylphosphonate (Bestmann-Ohira reagent) as a cycloaddition partner with nitroalkenes has been extensively investigated. Base-mediated reaction of the Bestmann-Ohira reagent with various nitroalkenes such as beta-substituted, alpha,beta-disubstituted, and nitroethylene that are part of a carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring provided functionalized phosphonylpyrazoles through a one-pot regioselective reaction at room temperature in high yield. The substituted nitroalkenes employed in these reactions also included Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts of conjugated nitroalkenes with various electrophiles. Detailed dynamic NMR studies were performed on the prototropic tautomerism exhibited by the phosphonylpyrazoles using CDCl(3) and DMSO-d(6) as solvents and (1)H and (31)P as the probe nuclei. These studies unraveled the existence of two tautomers in solution with a small energy difference but considerable barrier to interconversion.
