Abstract
Benzoylurea (BU) insecticides have been widely used for pest control as third-generation insecticides. Considering that their residues in food may cause adverse effects on human health, the upper limits of BUs remaining in food have been set by the administration. Therefore, it is essential to develop a sensitive and efficient analytical method to determine the residues of BUs in food. Stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) is a novel sample preparation technique, and stainless steel wire (SSW) is an ideal substrate for an SBSE device. In this work, a novel SBSE device of SSW jacket-free stir bar with a dumbbell shape was designed and prepared. The conjugated microporous polymer CMP-F6, which possesses a porous structure, high hydrophobicity and rich fluorine-containing functional groups, was immobilized on the surface of SSW by the method of polyacrylonitrile glue adhesion. Compared with previous studies, which used SSW as a substrate, the method of etching partial SSW with hydrochloric acid, on the one hand, made the surface of SSW rough and easy to modify the extraction coating, and on the other hand, converted itself into a dumbbell-shaped structure, which is conducive to improving the extraction efficiency and stability of the SBSE device. The method of SBSE-HPLC-UV was established for determining five BUs. Owing to the hydrophobic interaction and F-F interaction between CMP-F6 and analytes, this method showed good extraction efficiency and had good linearity (R2 ≥ 0.9945) and high sensitivity (LODs in the range of 0.1-0.2 ng mL-1). It was used for the analysis of benzoylurea in an apple juice sample, and the recoveries were 74.3-117.9%.

Abstract
A vortex-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (VA-DLLME) procedure using hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent-based ferrofluid (HDES-FF) as an extractant was established. The developed sample preparation method coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) was applied to the pretreatment and determination of myclobutanil (MYC) in fruit juice. Hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent, synthesized by n-decanoic acid and DL-menthol, was as a carrier and combined with magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4@OA) to form HDES-FF as an extractant with high extraction capacity. The synthesized materials were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Parameters affecting extraction efficiency were optimized using single-factor experiments and Box-Behnken design via response surface methodology (BBD-RSM). Parallel tests were performed three times under the optimal conditions predicted by the model, yielding an actual mean recovery of 94.77% with RSD of 2.7% (n = 3) and an enrichment factor of 41.8 ± 0.98 (mean value ± SD, n = 3). Under the optimal conditions, the linear range was 1.0-100.0 µg·mL-1; the limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were 0.25 and 0.80 µg·mL-1, respectively. The average spiked recoveries in the samples ranged from 98.2 to 100.5% with intra-day relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 1.2-3.5% (n = 3) and inter-day RSDs of 1.1-3.8% (n = 3). Finally, the method was successfully applied to the determination of MYC antimicrobial agent in different fruit juice samples. The proposed HDES-FF-VA-DLLME/HPLC-DAD method was verified to widely apply to the extraction of triazole fungicides.

Abstract
In this work, a novel knitting aromatic polymer (KAP) was fabricated for the first time by knitting ferrocene with 1,3,5-tris(bromomethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene via Friedel-Crafts reaction, and then the KAP was magnetically functionalized with Fe3O4 nanoparticles to produce a magnetic KAP (M-KAP). Combining M-KAP based magnetic solid-phase extraction with high performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection, a simple and sensitive method was developed for simultaneous determination of six benzoylurea insecticides (BUs) in honey and apple juice samples. In the optimized conditions, a good linearity for the BUs existed in the range of 1.67-1000 ng g-1 for honey sample and 0.500-100.0 ng mL-1 for apple juice sample. The limits of detection were 0.500-1.50 ng g-1 and 0.150-0.400 ng mL-1 for honey and apple juice sample, respectively. Satisfactory recoveries were in the range of 85.5-105.5% with RSDs ≤ 8.3%. The developed method demonstrated an excellent practicability for sensitive analysis of the BUs.

Abstract
Layered-double hydroxides (LDHs) modified with anionic surfactants via a co-precipitation method were developed for preconcentrating and simultaneous analysis of six benzoylurea insecticides (BUs) by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The anionic surfactants with different chain lengths, including sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), sodium 1-nonane sulfonate (SNS), and sodium 1-hexane sulfonate monohydrate (SHS) were investigated to improve the extraction efficiency of LDHs. The SDBS-LDHs provided the highest efficiency for the enrichment of the BUs studied. Under the chosen conditions, enrichment factors in the range of 38-69 and detection limits in the range of 0.1-0.3 μg L-1 were achieved. Good reproducibilities (RSD < 13.8%) and recoveries (71.4-118.7%) were also obtained. The proposed preconcentration method, used as an in situ procedure offers rapid and simple simultaneous preparation of LDHs and extraction of BUs. The method was successfully applied for residue analysis of BUs in fruit- and flower-derived soft drink samples.

Abstract
A rapid and simple preconcentration method using dissolvable Mg/Al layered-double hydroxides (LDHs) and high performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array detection (HPLC-PDA) was developed for the analysis of benzoylurea insecticides (BUs) in water and honey samples. The proposed dissolvable LDHs for the extraction can be prepared in one step by the sequential addition of sodium hydroxide, magnesium chloride, aluminium chloride, and sodium dodecyl sulfate into the sample solution containing the target BUs. The co-precipitate phase was simply obtained after centrifugation, and the phase was then dissolved with formic acid before analysis by HPLC. The developed method provided an enrichment factor of 12.5-23.7. LODs were obtained in the range of 0.1-0.3 μg L-1 for deionized water, 0.2-2.0 μg L-1 for environmental waters, and 0.5-2.0 μg L-1 for the analyzed honey samples. Good recoveries ranging from 78.4 to 117.8% and 72.7 to 117.9% for water and honey samples, respectively, were obtained.

Abstract
ABSTRACT This article presents the most popular methods of sewage sludge management and analytical techniques which could be a powerful tool in designing new sewage sludge management methods. Chemical analysis is also described as a vital point at the subsequent stages of technological processes control and sewage sludge quality assessment. It is also an instrument essential to maintaining control of processed sewage sludge introduced to the environment as ready-to-use materials. The sludge management method is conditioned by the compliance with legal acts concerning sludge management. The most important of these contain information regarding allowable concentrations of pollutants which can be released into the environment, and the most important declarations concerning sewage sludge management. Various analytical techniques and preparation methods that can be used during the monitoring of the managed and processed sewage sludge are described. The most important are chromatographic techniques, methods based on inductively coupled plasma, and mass spectrometry based methods. GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT

Abstract
The authors describe a new sorbent for amitraz and teflubenzuron pesticides. It consists of a platinum wire coated with polypyrrole-coated ZnO nanorods. The nanocomposite was prepared by a two-step process. In the first step, oriented ZnO nanorods were hydrothermally grown in situ on a platinum wire. Subsequently, oxidative vapor phase polymerization of pyrrole was performed on FeCl3-impregnated ZnO nanorods to give a porous polypyrrole film. The organic/inorganic nanocomposite synthesized through hydrothermal deposition and chemical vapor deposition polymerization yields material with attractive properties. The coated wire was applied to solid-phase microextraction of amitraz (in the form of 2,4-dimethylaniline resulting from the hydrolysis of amitraz) and teflubenzuron. The effects of extraction temperature, extraction time, sample pH value and salt concentration were optimized. The analytes 2,4-dimethylaniline and teflubenzuron were then quantified by GC-MS. Under optimum conditions, the LODs range between 0.1 and 0.15 ng.mL-1. Relative standard deviations at two concentration are <8.3% for intraday precision and <10.3% for inter-day precision. In all cases, the fiber to fiber reproducibility is <12.2%. For both analytes the linear dynamic ranges are 0.5-300 ng.mL-1. The procedure was successfully applied to the analysis of spiked agricultural water samples. Graphical abstract A novel inorganic/organic hybrid nanocomposite was synthesized through in situ hydrothermal deposition of ZnO nanorods and ten placing a thin layer of polypyrrole on them by chemical vapor deposition polymerization. This nanocomposite was applied to fabricate a solid-phase microextraction fiber for the extraction of amitraz and teflubenzuron pesticides residue from agricultural samples prior to their quantitation by GC-MS.

Abstract
A novel method was developed for determination of trace amounts of lead in water and food samples. Solidified floating organic drop microextraction was used to preconcentrate the lead ion. After the analyte was complexed with 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol, undecanol and acetonitrile were added as extraction and dispersive solvent, respectively. Variables such as pH, volumes of extraction and dispersive solvents, and concentration of chelating agent were optimized. Under the optimum conditions, the detection limit of Pb (II) was determined as 0.042 µg L-1 with an enrichment factor of 300. The relative standard deviation is <10%. Accuracy of the developed procedure was evaluated by the analysis of certified reference material of human hair (NCS DC 73347) and wastewater (SPS-WW2) with satisfactory results. The developed procedure was then successfully applied to biscuit and water samples for detection of Pb (II) ions.
