Abstract
OBJECTIVES Nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL) differs from classic Hodgkin lymphoma (CHL) in terms of clinicopathologic features, including Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) association. CHL geographic variability is well known, with higher frequencies of mixed-cellularity subtype and EBV positivity in low/middle-income countries (LMICs), but there are few well-characterized series of NLPHL from LMICs. METHODS We detail clinicopathologic findings of 21 NLPHL cases received in consultation from Kenya and summarize reports of NLPHL with EBV testing published since 2000. RESULTS Median age of consultation cases was 36 years, and male/female ratio was 3.2. All cases involved peripheral lymph nodes and showed at least some B-cell-rich nodular immunoarchitecture, with prominent extranodular lymphocyte-predominant (LP) cells and T-cell-rich variant patterns most commonly seen. LP cells expressed pan-B-cell markers, including strong OCT2; lacked CD30 and CD15 expression in most cases; and were in a background of expanded/disrupted follicular dendritic cell meshworks and increased T-follicular helper cells. LP cells were EBV negative in 18 cases. Historical cases showed a low rate of EBV positivity with no significant difference between LMICs and high-income countries. CONCLUSIONS Unlike CHL, NLPHL shows few geographic differences in terms of clinicopathologic features and EBV association. These findings have implications for diagnosis, prognostication, and treatment of patients with NLPHL in LMICs.

Abstract
Simple Summary The development of high-throughput technologies in recent years has increased our understanding of the molecular complexity of lymphomas, providing new insights into the pathogenesis of large B-cell neoplasms and identifying different molecular biomarkers with prognostic impact, that lead to the revision of the World Health Organization consensus classification of lymphomas. This review addresses the main histopathological and molecular features of large B-cells lymphomas, providing an overview of the main recent novelties introduced by the last update of the consensus classification. Abstract Diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) are aggressive B-cell neoplasms with considerable clinical, biologic, and pathologic diversity. The application of high throughput technologies to the study of lymphomas has yielded abundant molecular data leading to the identification of distinct molecular identities and novel pathogenetic pathways. In light of this new information, newly refined diagnostic criteria have been established in the fourth edition of the World Health Organization (WHO) consensus classification of lymphomas, which was revised in 2016. This article reviews the histopathological and molecular features of the various aggressive B-cell lymphoma subtypes included in the updated classification.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The current study aimed to describe genotypes associated with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) in a cohort of Saudi and non-Saudi patients and discuss their possible susceptibility to HL. METHODS We studied clinical, histopathological, and laboratory findings of HL patients admitted over 12 years duration, at King Fahd University Hospital, KSA. The genomic DNAs of HL patients (n = 61) and normal control subjects (n = 36) were extracted, and genotyping was performed using the Illumina human exome bead chip. Set of HL patients and set of normal controls were included in this study. RESULTS A total of 35 DNA variants were found to be highly significant with the P-value <9.90 × 10-11 among 243 345 exonic biomarkers and obeying the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Nine, MEGF11-rs150945752 (P-value 1.20 × 10-12 ), CACNA1I- s58055559 (P-value 1.93 × 10-12 ), DECR2-rs146760080 (P-value 2.19 × 10-12 ), STAB1-rs143894786 (P-value 2.45 × 10-12 ), ZNF526-rs144433879 (P-value 2.76 × 10-12 ), CPLANE1-rs200612080 (P-value 3.77 × 10-12 ), DLK1-rs1058009 (P-value 5.95 × 10-12 ), RTN4RL2-rs61745214 (P-value 7.71 × 10-12 ), and PGRMC1-rs145582672 (P-value 8.56 × 10-12 ), exonic variants on chromosomes 15, 22, and 16 were highly associated with HL cases. THE HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT HAPLOTYPES AT CHROMOSOME 3: rs143894786G; rs149982219G with P-value = 3.43 × 10-14 was found to be the risk haplotype for the HL patients. The opposite alleles at chromosome 3: rs143894786A; rs149982219G is protective with P-value = 2.46 × 10-12 . Maximum number of SNPs at the chromosome 19: rs144433879C; rs181265966G; rs201144421C; rs145591797G; rs200560875G; rs77270337G (risk P-value = 2.24 × 10-12 ) and its opposite allele rs144433879A; rs181265966A; rs201144421T; rs145591797A; rs200560875A; rs77270337A (protective P-value = 2.60 × 10-9 ) were found to be associated haplotype with the HL and controls, respectively, in Saudi population. CONCLUSION Our study concludes that the HL is genetically heterogeneous with multigene causation.

Abstract
The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), Kaposi sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV) and human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV-1) are lymphomagenic viruses with region-specific induced morbidity. The RIAL-CYTED aims to increase the knowledge of lymphoma in Latin America (LA), and, as such, we systematically analyzed the literature to better understand our risk for virus-induced lymphoma. We observed that high endemicity regions for certain lymphomas, e.g., Mexico and Peru, have a high incidence of EBV-positive lymphomas of T/NK cell origin. Peru also carries the highest frequency of EBV-positive classical Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and EBV-positive diffuse large B cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (NOS), than any other LA country. Adult T cell lymphoma is endemic to the North of Brazil and Chile. While only few cases of KSHV-positive lymphomas were found, in spite of the close correlation of Kaposi sarcoma and the prevalence of pathogenic types of KSHV. Both EBV-associated HL and Burkitt lymphoma mainly affect young children, unlike in developed countries, in which adolescents and young adults are the most affected, correlating with an early EBV seroconversion for LA population despite of lack of infectious mononucleosis symptoms. High endemicity of KSHV and HTLV infection was observed among Amerindian populations, with differences between Amazonian and Andean populations.

Abstract
The epidemiology of classical Hodgkin lymphoma varies significantly in populations with different socioeconomic conditions. Among other changes, improvement in such conditions leads to a reduction in the association with EBV infection and predominance of the nodular sclerosis subtype. This study provides an overview of the epidemiology of 817 cases of classical Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosed in five reference hospitals of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, over 54 years (1954–2008). The cases were distributed in 3 periods (1954–1979; 1980–1999; and 2000–2008). EBV-positive cases decreased from 87% to 46%. In children and adolescents (<15 years) and in young adults (15–45 years), EBV-positive cases decreased respectively from 96% to 64%, and from 85% to 32%. The percentage of male patients declined from 80% to 58%. In older patients (>45 years), the decrease in EBV infection was not significant. Nodular Sclerosis was the most common subtype in all periods. These results support the hypothesis that, in the Brazilian State of Sao Paulo, classical Hodgkin lymphoma has changed and now shows characteristics consistent with Pattern III observed in populations that experienced a similar socioeconomic transition.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Incidence rates of the histologic subtypes of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) differed with socioeconomic conditions. MATERIALS AND METHODS HL cases from the Register of Childhood Cancer (below 15 y of age) for 2 socioeconomic regions were analyzed. Central region has a high socioeconomic index; and the southern region a low index. The incidence rates (cases per million children/year) were estimated according to histologic subtypes, age groups, sex, clinical stages, time to diagnosis, and overall survival by regions. RESULTS The overall incidence was greater in the south (6.8 vs. 4.6), principally due to higher incidence of mixed cellularity subtype (3.8 vs. 1.0). In the south, the highest incidence was found in the 5- to 9-year-old group (9.2), whereas in the central region it was found in the 10- to 14-year-old group (7.4). There was a delay of ∼3 weeks in the time to diagnosis (P=0.36) in the south, but no difference in the percentage of advanced stages, adjusted by histologic subtype (61%, III and IV). The overall survival was 71%, differences were identified only for mixed cellularity cases (center=89.2 vs. south=61.5%, P=0.03). CONCLUSIONS Incidences of HL subtypes differed in relation to socioeconomic conditions in Mexico. In the south, the incidence of mixed cellularity was higher and there was an earlier peak of presentation.

Abstract
More than 90% of the population is infected by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), which has sophisticatedly evolved to survive silently in B cells for the life of infected individuals. However, if the virus-host balance is disturbed, latent EBV infection could be associated with several lymphomas. The age at primary infection varies substantially worldwide, and exposure to EBV is likely to be due to socioeconomic factors. In Argentina, EBV infection is mostly subclinical and 90% of patients are seropositive by the age of 3 years; therefore, its epidemiological characteristics resemble those of an underdeveloped or developing population. EBV-positive Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) in young adults from developed populations has been attributed to delayed primary EBV infection as suggested by the association with recent mononucleosis development. EBV-associated Burkitt lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma in children from Argentina display frequencies similar to those observed in developed countries, whereas EBV presence in pediatric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is slightly increased compared to those populations. However, EBV presence is statistically associated particularly with patients < 10 years of age in all three entities. Therefore, a relationship between low age of EBV seroconversion and B-cell lymphoma development risk could be suggested in children from Argentina.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In epidemiological studies, Hodgkin lymphomas (HL) in children younger than 15 years and HL in adolescents and younger adults age 15-35 years has traditionally been studied separately, under the assumption that HL at age 0-14 constitute a homogeneous entity. However, the continued validity of this research practice in affluent settings may be questioned. Specifically, the boundary at age 15 years may not be epidemiologically justified, and therefore also questionable clinically. We therefore updated and further characterised recent HL incidence patterns among Nordic children. MATERIAL AND METHODS We obtained HL incidence data in children aged 0-14 years for the period 1978-2010 from the five nationwide Nordic cancer registries. The data were analysed by log-linear and/or a mixture of Poisson regression models. RESULTS The analyses showed statistically significantly decreasing and increasing HL incidence rates in children younger and older than eight years, respectively during the study period. Statistical modelling suggested that cases in children age 0-6 years constituted a disease entity of its own, whereas cases in older children were more likely to belong to the younger adult HL entity. CONCLUSION Diverging incidence trends and statistical modelling suggest that HL in children age 0-14 years cannot be assumed to constitute a homogeneous disease entity in affluent settings.

Abstract
Both targeted and genome-wide studies have revealed genetic associations for susceptibility, prognosis, and treatment-induced secondary malignancies and toxicities in classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). This review gives a systematic and comprehensive overview of significant associations and places them into a biologic context. The strongest susceptibility polymorphisms have been found for the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes. These associations are specific for cHL overall or for subgroups based on tumor cell Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) status. These findings strongly suggest that EBV-specific immune responses influence cHL susceptibility in EBV(+) cHL and that immune responses targeting other tumor-associated antigens are important in EBV(-) cHL. Accordingly, most of the numerous other susceptibility loci map to genes that affect functionality of the immune system, underscoring the crucial role of the immune system in cHL development. The number of association studies on cHL prognosis is limited with one consistent association for the drug-metabolizing UGT1A1 gene. PRDM1 is associated with radiation-induced secondary malignancies and a small number of genes are associated with treatment-related toxicities. In conclusion, most loci showing genetic associations in cHL harbor genes with a potential functional relevance for cHL susceptibility.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES This study aims to examine the possible association of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in Classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) and to shed light on the epidemiology of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) in Jordan. PATIENTS AND METHODS We examined 100 consecutive cases of HL for the presence of EBV in tumor cells by immunohistochemistry for latent membrane protein-1 (LMP-1). We collected patient data on age, sex and histologic subtype. We reviewed the pathological findings in each case and confirmed diagnosis. RESULTS Nodular lymphocyte predominant HL was diagnosed in 6% of the cases and these were negative for EBV LMP-1. Of the 94 cases of cHL, 65% were males, the most common subtype was nodular sclerosis (NS), representing 70% of the cases, and 45.7% of cHL (43% of all HL) cases were positive for EBV LMP-1. The positive cases were significantly related to age: ⩽15 years and >51 years (p: 0.009 and 0.014 respectively), male gender (p: 0.03) and mixed cellularity (MC) subtype (p: <0.0001). In line with other developing countries, there also appears to be a trend towards a decreasing association of EBV with cHL and a subtype switch from MC to NS in Jordan. CONCLUSION The epidemiology of HL in Jordan and some developing countries is approaching that of developed countries.

Abstract
In most underdeveloped countries, the initial contact with Epstein Barr virus (EBV) usually happens in the first decade of life and results in an asymptomatic infection, whereas in developed areas, primary infection in adolescence or adulthood is accompanied by infectious mononucleosis in 50% cases. Although it is generally a harmless passenger, in some individuals, it is associated with B-cell lymphoma. In Argentina, EBV primary infection shows the classical pattern observed in developing populations, given that nearly 70% of patients are seropositive by the age of 2 years. However, EBV association with pediatric Hodgkin and Burkitt lymphoma resembles that observed in developed regions. Concerning diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, our series demonstrated higher EBV association than other adult ones from either developed or underdeveloped countries. Interestingly, the early EBV primary infection observed, characteristic of an underdeveloped population, together with the statistically significant EBV association with patients ≤ 10 years old demonstrated in all types of lymphoma studied, suggest a relationship between low age of EBV seroconversion and B-cell lymphoma development risk.

Abstract
Several observations have led us to a new hypothesis for cancer mechanism. First, that cancer appears only on those multicellular organisms with complicated wound-healing capacities. Second, that wounds considered as risk factors can be identified in all cancers in clinics. And finally, that oncogene activation appears not only in cancer, but also in normal physiology and noncancer pathology processes. Our proposed hypothesis is that cancer is a natural wound healing-related process, which includes oncogene activations, cytokine secretions, stem cell recruitment differentiation, and tissue remodeling. Wounds activate oncogenes of some cells and the latter secrete cytokines to recruit stem cells to heal the wounds. However, if the cause of the wound or if the wound persists, such as under the persistent UV and carcinogen exposures, the continuous wound healing process will lead to a clinical cancer mass. There is no system in nature to stop or reverse the wound healing process in the middle stage when the wound exists. The outcome of the cancer mechanism is either healing the wound or exhausting the whole system (death). The logic of this cancer mechanism is consistent with the rationales of the other physiological metabolisms in the body-for survival. This hypothesis helps to understand many cancer mysteries derived from the mutation theory, such as why cancer only exists in a small proportion of multicellular organisms, although they are all under potential mutation risks during DNA replications. The hypothesis can be used to interpret and guide cancer prevention, recurrence, metastasis, in vitro and in vivo studies, and personalized treatments.

Abstract
Background The incidence of classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) and its association with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) varies significantly with age, sex, ethnicity and geographic location. This is the first report on epidemiological features of cHL patients from Northern regions of China. These features are compared to data from a previously published Dutch cHL population. Methodology/Principal Findings 157 cHL patients diagnosed between 1997 and 2008 in the North of China were included after histopathological re-evaluation. The Dutch population-based cohort consisted of 515 cHL patients diagnosed between 1987 and 2000. EBV status was determined by in situ hybridization of EBV- encoded small RNAs. In the Chinese population, tumor cells of 39% of the cHL patients were EBV+ and this was significantly associated with male sex, mixed cellularity subtype and young age (<20 y). The median age of the Chinese patients was 9 years younger than that of the Dutch patients (28 y vs. 37 y). In addition, the age distribution between the two populations was strikingly different in both the EBV+ subgroups (p<0.001) and the EBV- subgroups (p = 0.01). The mixed cellularity subtype was almost 3x more frequent amongst the Chinese (p<0.001). Conclusion/Significance CHL patients from Northern regions of China show a distinctive age distribution pattern with a striking incidence peak of EBV+ mixed cellularity cases among children and adolescents and another high incidence peak of EBV- nodular sclerosis cases in young adults. In comparison to Dutch cHL patients there are pronounced differences in age distribution, subtype and EBV status, presumably caused by complex gene-environmental interactions.

Abstract
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is associated with approximately one-third of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) cases. EBV-DNA is often present in the plasma and whole blood of EBV-associated HL patients. However, the significance of EBV-DNA monitoring is debated. In a cohort of 165 adult HL patients, EBV-DNA viral load was prospectively monitored both in the plasma and whole blood. Diagnostic tissue samples of all patients were histologically reviewed; in 72% nodular sclerosis was detected, 24% presented with mixed cellularity (MC), and 5% had other type of HL. Tissues from 150 patients were also analyzed for the presence of latent EBV infection using in situ hybridization for EBV-encoded RNA (EBER) and immunohistochemistry for latent membrane protein (LMP1). Using these methods, 29 (19%) patients were classified as EBV positive. Using real-time quantitative PCR, 22 (76%) of EBV-positive HL patients had detectable EBV-DNA in the plasma and 19 (66%) patients in whole blood prior to therapy. In the group of EBV-negative HL cases, three (2%) patients had detectable plasma EBV-DNA and 30 (25%) patients whole blood EBV-DNA before treatment. EBV-positive HL was significantly associated with EBV-DNA positivity both in the plasma and whole blood in pretreatment samples, increasing age and MC subtype. Serial analysis of plasma EBV-DNA showed that response to therapy was associated with decline in viral load. Moreover, significantly increased plasma EBV-DNA level recurred before disease relapse in one patient. Our results further suggest that the assessment of plasma EBV-DNA viral load might be of value for estimation of prognosis and follow-up of patients with EBV-positive HL.

Abstract
Fifty-five consecutive cases of Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL), collected between 1996 and 1998 from Cairo, Egypt, were histologically subtyped, phenotyped, and then studied for the presence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). We used immunohistochemical stains for EBV latent membrane protein 1 (LMP-1) and in situ hybridization stains for EBV-encoded small RNA (EBER-1) transcripts. Forty-five cases (82%) had classic HL (cHL), and ten cases (18%) had nodular lymphocyte predominant HL (NLPHL), with each group expressing its typical phenotype. LMP-1 stains were positive in 63% and 0% of cHL and NLPHL cases, respectively. EBER-positive Reed-Sternberg cells and variants were also present in 62% and 0% of each group, respectively. The cHL cases showed variable EBER positivity: nodular sclerosis, 58%; mixed cellularity, 100%; lymphocyte depletion, 100%; and unclassifiable, 67%. Our findings are similar to those from other developing countries and point towards a pathogenic role of EBV in cHL.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study provides the clinical pathological characteristics of 1301 cases of pediatric/adolescent lymphomas in patients from different geographic regions of Brazil. METHODS A retrospective analyses of diagnosed pediatric lymphoma cases in a 10-year period was performed. We believe that it represents the largest series of pediatric lymphomas presented from Brazil. RESULTS Non-Hodgkin lymphomas represented 68% of the cases, including those of precursor (36%) and mature (64%) cell origin. Mature cell lymphomas comprised 81% of the B-cell phenotype and 19% of the T-cell phenotype. Hodgkin lymphomas represented 32% of all cases, including 87% of the classical type and 13% of nodular lymphocyte predominant type. The geographic distribution showed 38.4% of the cases in the Southeast region, 28.7% in the Northeast, 16.1% in the South, 8.8% in the North, and 8% in the Central-west region. The distribution by age groups was 15-18 years old, 33%; 11-14 years old, 26%; 6-10 years old, 24%; and 6 years old or younger, 17%. Among mature B-cell lymphomas, most of the cases were Burkitt lymphomas (65%), followed by diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (24%). In the mature T-cell group, anaplastic large cell lymphoma, ALK-positive was the most prevalent (57%), followed by peripheral T-cell lymphoma, then not otherwise specified (25%). In the group of classic Hodgkin lymphomas, the main histological subtype was nodular sclerosis (76%). Nodular lymphocyte predominance occurred more frequently than in other series. CONCLUSION Some of the results found in this study may reflect the heterogeneous socioeconomical status and environmental factors of the Brazilian population in different regions.

Abstract
In the past few years, there has been a greater understanding of the spectrum and biology of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). In standard texts, HL is classified as 2 distinct entities, namely nodular lymphocyte-predominant HL and classical HL (CHL). However, recent evidence suggests that CHL is not a single disease. Although the mixed cellularity and lymphocyte-depleted subtypes might be part of a biologic continuum, the nodular sclerosis subtype has a distinct epidemiology, clinical presentation, and histology. Nodular sclerosis HL might also be related to primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma and mediastinal gray-zone lymphomas. We present an update on the pathobiology of HL and discuss these biologic and clinical differences in this review.

Abstract
Primary Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HL) of the stomach is an extremely rare entity. Most cases of gastric involvement by HL are observed in the setting of disseminated disease. The nonspecific nature of the symptoms and endoscopic findings, which include a large malignant-looking ulcer and mass or wall thickening, together with the considerable histological overlap between HLs and some non-HLs or undifferentiated carcinoma, make the surgical resection diagnosis extremely difficult. An accurate diagnosis is important as treatment and outcome differ significantly for these neoplasms. In small endoscopic gastric biopsies and even in postoperative specimens, the precise histological diagnosis of HL is particularly challenging. Here, the authors report 5 cases of 2 women and 3 men aged 22 to 68, with gastric involvement by classic HLs—3 primary gastric HLs and 2 as part of widespread disease. All 5 patients presented with digestive symptoms. At endoscopy, the lesions presented as ulcerated and elevated lesions, with or without mucosal thickening. Four patients were misdiagnosed in the preoperative biopsy or in the gastrectomy specimen. Association with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) was detected in 4 cases, with a predominance of subtype A EBV. These cases illustrate the significant difficulties, both clinical and pathological, in achieving the diagnosis of HL involving the stomach in immunocompetent patients.

Abstract
Burkitt lymphoma is a highly aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma with endemic, sporadic, and immunodeficiency-associated clinical variants composed of monomorphic medium-sized B cells with a high proliferation rate and a translocation involving the C-MYC locus. Classically, the immunophenotype of Burkitt lymphoma has been considered to be the germinal center type. In most reports, all cases of Burkitt lymphoma are reported to be multiple myeloma 1-negative. multiple myeloma 1 expression is seen in plasma cells and in a small fraction of B cells located in the light zone of germinal centers corresponding to the final step of intra-germinal center B-cell differentiation, and in activated T cells. Therefore, multiple myeloma 1 expression may denote the final step of intra-germinal center B-cell differentiation at the centrocyte stage, as well as the subsequent steps of B-cell maturation toward plasma cells. Unlike most normal germinal center B cells, in which the expression of multiple myeloma 1 and bcl-6 are mutually exclusive, the tumor cells in approximately 50% of multiple myeloma 1-positive DLBCL show coexpression of bcl-6, suggesting that the expression of these proteins may be deregulated. Twenty-five Burkitt lymphoma cases, including 19 associated with HIV, were reported in one of the few studies in the literature; 2 of these cases showed occasional multiple myeloma 1-positive cells, less than the 20% cutoff for positivity. We studied 222 cases of well-characterized Burkitt lymphoma with the classic phenotype and C-MYC translocation and found 90 cases (40.5%) with multiple myeloma 1 nuclear expression, suggesting a late germinal center stage of differentiation.

Abstract
Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) shows a bimodal distribution with a first peak in developing countries during childhood. The causative role and prognostic significance of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) association in patients with HL is controversial. Our aim was to perform a comparative study of EBV association in 2 Latin American pediatric HL series, and to correlate it with patient's survival. Epstein-Barr encoded RNAs in situ hybridization and latent membrane protein 1 immunohistochemistry were performed on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded HL biopsies from 176 pediatric patients from 2 public institutions from Argentina and Southeast Brazil. Mixed cellularity subtype was prevalent in Argentine HL (Arg HL) (52%) and nodular sclerosis subtype in Brazilian HL (BR HL) (83%). EBV expression was detected in 52% of cases, namely 54% Arg HL and 48% Br HL. EBV was significantly associated with mixed cellularity subtype in both populations. In Arg HL, EBV positivity was significantly higher in patients<or=10 years (P=0.0011). Event-free survival did not attain statistical significance neither in Arg HL (P=0.5317), nor in Br HL (P=0.8321). Our results do not support EBV association stated for pediatric HL in developing countries. Correlation of younger age with EBV infection only in Argentine patients might be related to a different age background. In our pediatric series, EBV status cannot be used as prognostic factor.
