Abstract
For the first time, we introduce a novel disposable and ultrasensitive sensing electrode made up of nanosized ceria uniformly loaded carbon nanofibers (CeNPs@CNF) sol-gel nanoceramic film (CF) wrapped on eco-friendly and inexpensive pencil graphite rods (PGRs) to explore their electro-catalytic detection of the anticancer drug capmatinib (CMB). The as-prepared CeNPs@CNF hybrid nanocomposite was described by XRD, SEM, TEM, HRTEM, and EDX analysis. The CV study clearly demonstrated that, the disposable CeNPs@CNF-CF/PGRE sensor exhibited excellent redox activities in the ideal probe [Fe(CN)6]3-/4-. Due to the outstanding electrochemical properties, larger electrochemically active surface area, and tremendous electro-catalytic activity of CeNPs@CNF, the reduction current of CMB on the CeNPs@CNF-CF/PGRE sensor is considerably higher than that of bare PGRE. The detection conditions, such as supporting electrolyte, pH of the buffer solution, amount of modifier, adsorption potential, and time, were studied and optimized. The sensing platform demonstrated high sensitivity (1.2 μA nM-1 cm-2), an ultralow detection limit (0.6 nM), and a wide linear range of 2.0 nM-400 nM of CMB compared to the bare PGRE. Additionally, the CeNPs@CNF-CF/PGRE sensor showed high selectivity, stability, and simple operation, which provided a promising alternative tool for fast detection of CMB in human body fluids with good recoveries.

Abstract
In this study, poly(luminol-co-1,8-diaminonaphthalene) (PLim-DAN) was synthesized and subsequently modified with MWCNTs and CeO2 NPs. The synthesized nanocomposites were analyzed using IR, SEM, TEM, and XRD. Furthermore, a comprehensive set of thermal behavior measurements were taken using TGA/DTG analysis. Next, the electroactivity of the developed nanocomposites was tested as an electrochemical sensor to measure the concentration of Cr3+ ions in phosphate buffers. The GCE adapted with the PLim-DAN/CeO2/CNTs-10% nanocomposite (NC) exhibited the highest current response among the other compositions and copolymers. The fabricated nanocomposite sensor showed high sensitivity, with a value of 19.78 μA μM-1 cm-2, and a low detection limit of 4.80 ± 0.24 pM. The analytical performance was evaluated by plotting a current calibration curve versus the concentration of Cr3+ ions. It was found to be linear (R2 = 0.9908) over the range of 0.1 nM to 0.1 mM, identified as the linear dynamic range (LDR). This electrochemical sensor demonstrated that it could be a useful tool for environmental monitoring by accurately detecting and measuring carcinogenic Cr3+ ions in real-world samples.

Abstract
In the present study, nanoceria-decorated MWCNTs (CeNPs@MWCNTs) were synthesized using a simple and inexpensive process. Molnupiravir (MPV) has gained considerable attention in recent years due to the infection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). Since some people infected with COVID-19 experience fever and headaches, paracetamol (PCM) has been prescribed to relieve these symptoms. Therefore, there is an urgent need to monitor and detect these drugs simultaneously in pharmaceutical and biological samples. In this regard, we developed a novel sensor based on nanoceria-loaded MWCNTs (CeNPs@MWCNTs) for simultaneous monitoring of MPV and PCM. The incorporation of CeNPs@MWCNTs electrocatalyst into a glassy carbon microsphere fluorolube oil paste electrode (GCMFE) creates more active sites, which increase the surface area, electrocatalytic ability, and electron transfer efficiency. Interestingly, CeNPs@MWCNTs modified GCMFE demonstrated excellent detection limits (6.0 nM, 8.6 nM), linear ranges (5.0-5120 nM, 8.0-4162 nM), and sensitivities (78.6, 94.3 μA μM-1 cm-2) for simultaneous detection of MPV and PCM. The developed CeNPs@MWCNTs electrocatalyst modified GCMFE exhibited good repeatability, anti-interference capability, stability, and real-time analysis with good recovery results, which clearly indicates that it can be used for real-time industrial applications.

Abstract
The combination of CO2 laser ablation and electrochemical surface treatments is demonstrated to improve the electrochemical performance of carbon black/polylactic acid (CB/PLA) 3D-printed electrodes through the growth of flower-like Na2O nanostructures on their surface. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that the combination of treatments ablated the electrode's polymeric layer, exposing a porous surface where Na2O flower-like nanostructures were formed. The electrochemical performance of the fabricated electrodes was measured by the reversibility of the ferri/ferrocyanide redox couple presenting a significantly improved performance compared with electrodes treated by only one of the steps. Electrodes treated by the combined method also showed a better electrochemical response for tyrosine oxidation. These electrodes were used as a non-enzymatic tyrosine sensor for quantification in human urine samples. Two fortified urine samples were analyzed, and the recovery values were 106 and 109%. The LOD and LOQ for tyrosine determination were 0.25 and 0.83 μmol L-1, respectively, demonstrating that the proposed devices are suitable sensors for analyses of biological samples, even at low analyte concentrations.

Abstract
The rapid growth of research in electrochemistry in the last decade has resulted in a significant advancement in exploiting electrochemical strategies for assessing biological substances. Among these, amino acids are of utmost interest due to their key role in human health. Indeed, an unbalanced amino acid level is the origin of several metabolic and genetic diseases, which has led to a great need for effective and reliable evaluation methods. This review is an effort to summarize and present both challenges and achievements in electrochemical amino acid sensing from the last decade (from 2010 onwards) to show where limitations and advantages stem from. In this review, we place special emphasis on five well-known electroactive amino acids, namely cysteine, tyrosine, tryptophan, methionine and histidine. The recent research and achievements in this area and significant performance metrics of the proposed electrochemical sensors, including the limit of detection, sensitivity, stability, linear dynamic range(s) and applicability in real sample analysis, are summarized and presented in separate sections. More than 400 recent scientific studies were included in this review to portray a rich set of ideas and exemplify the capabilities of the electrochemical strategies to detect these essential biomolecules at trace and even ultra-trace levels. Finally, we discuss, in the last section, the remaining issues and the opportunities to push the boundaries of our knowledge in amino acid electrochemistry even further.

Abstract
A novel voltammetric sensor was designed and used for the determination of l-tyrosine (l-Tyr) by surface modification of a glassy carbon electrode with reduced graphene oxide-hemin-Ag (rGO-H-Ag) nanocomposites. The nanocomposites were synthesized by a facile one-pot hydrothermal method and characterized by means of transmission electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. The determination of l-Tyr was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and further quantified using differential pulse voltammetry. The results revealed a significant enhanced electrochemical oxidation effect for l-Tyr at the nanocomposites modified electrode. Two linear ranges from 0.1 to 100 μM and 100 to 1000 μM as well as a low detection limit of 30 nM (S/N = 3) were obtained. In addition, the sensor also demonstrated good selectivity, reproducibility and stability. A novel electrochemical sensor for the sensitive determination of l-Tyr was designed with a rGO-H-Ag nanocomposite modified electrode.![]()

Abstract
One of the common complications diagnosed in Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patients is Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFUs). It is a condition wherein the deep tissues located in the lower limb undergo inflammation and infection due to neurological abnormalities (neuropathy) and various degrees of vascular diseases (angiopathy). The concentration of l-tyrosine (Tyr) rises abruptly in DFUs, and therefore may be used as an indicator for early monitoring of the patient's condition during the onset of diabetic foot disease. Herein, we report the electrochemical enzymatic detection of Tyr using low energy ion beam modified titania nanotube (TiNT) thin films with nitrogen (N+) and gold (Au-) ions. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) analysis was performed to investigate the levels of Tyr using ion beam modified TiNT thin film electrodes. The modified electrodes exhibited excellent sensor performances with Au-TiNT and N-TiNT within the Tyr concentration range of 100 fM -500 μM with limit of detection (LoD)1.76 nM and 1.25 nM respectively and response time ∼ 1 min. The results indicate that low energy ion beam modified TiNT/enzyme bio-electrodes can potentially be employed as a highly sensitive and portable sensor for real-time detection of l-tyrosine in wound fluids for the development of a smart bandage.

Herein, an edible biopolymer amine Modified Gum Acacia (MGA), successfully encumbered with Electron Beam irradiated Polypyrrole Nanospheres (EB-PPy NSs), was investigated for the effective role in L-Tyrosine (Tyr) biosensing application. The morphology of EB-PPy NSs decorated MGA (EB-PPy/MGA) hybrid nanobiocomposite has been studied by Scanning electron microscopy and its affirmed interactions were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman, FT-IR spectroscopy, UV-Visible spectroscopy, Thermo Gravimetric Analysis and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer. The hybrid nanobiocomposite manifested diamagnetic behavior with reduced saturation magnetization (Ms = 1.412 × 10-4 emu/g) to produce more adhesive surface. Amine chains in EB-PPy NSs and hydroxyl groups of MGA contributed to effective immobilization, thus enabling suitable orientation for Tyr determination. The electrochemical analysis illustrated that the proposed nanobiocomposite based sensor exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity toward selective determination of Tyr in the linear range of 0.4 to 600 µM with a lower detection limit of 85 nM, low oxidation potential of 0.72 V and good selectivity. Finally, the reliability of the constructed EB-PPy/MGA for Tyr detection was demonstrated in real samples.

Abstract
Herein, we report an efficient electrochemical sensor strategy for determination of epinephrine based on Bi2O3 nanoparticle decorated reduced graphene oxide nanocomposite (Bi2O3@RGO). The Bi2O3@RGO was prepared by simple ultrasonic method and then it's morphological and crystal structure aspects were well characterized by physiological instruments. The electrode-electrolyte interfacial properties were examined to ensure the catalytic ability of composite sensing towards EP. The composite was deposited on the multi-conventional screen-printed electrode and was found to be desirable performance toward EP oxidation. The amperometric EP sensing exhibited good reproducible and sensitive which able to detect as low as concentration of 2.14 nM. Furthermore, good reproducibility, long-term stability and repeatability were obtained from the electrode in experiment. Moreover, the EP sensing method was successfully applied in human and rat blood serum, the recoveries were validated by HPLC method. It indicates the reliability of the method in practical analysis.

Abstract
Here, we aimed to use graphene oxide to improve the selectivity and sensitivity of Tyr determination via the reaction with 1-nitroso-2-naphthol as a selective reagent of Tyr. The reaction between Tyr and 1-nitroso-2-naphthol in absence and presence of GO was studied spectrophotometrically. Different parameters such as concentrations, temperature, incubation time were optimized. The obtained data showed that the maximum absorbance was achieved by using 2 mL of 0.03% 1-nitroso-2-naphthol at temperature 60 °C for 10 min. On the basis of calibration curve of various concentrations of Tyr in the presence of 20 μg mL-1 GO, the limit of detection was 6.4 × 10-6 M (1.15 μg mL-1), where in absence of GO was 1.1 × 10-5 M (19.9 μg mL-1). The selectivity of Tyr in presence of other amino acids and phenols was studied with and without GO. The data obtained revealed that the selectivity of Tyr in presence of GO with respect to some amino acids and phenols was improved. The proposed method has been applied for the determination of Tyr in urine and serum samples. Therefore, GO is a powerful catalytic surface for the sensitive and selective determination of Try in biological fluids.
