Abstract
Considering the significance of migraine and the limited amount of research conducted on its association with depression in population-based studies in Spain, this study aimed to determine the prevalence and change of depression from 2017 to 2020 among adults with migraine in Spain and to analyze the sociodemographic and health-related variables linked to depression in migraine sufferers. A cross-sectional study on 5329 adults with migraine from the Spanish National Health Survey 2017 and the European Health Survey in Spain 2020 was performed. Binary logistic regression was used to examine the factors related to depression. A total of 26.32% of people with migraine suffered from depression. No significant changes in that prevalence between 2017 and 2020 were observed. The risk factors associated with depression included being between the ages of 25 and 44 (p = 0.018), being separated or divorced (p = 0.033), being unemployed (p < 0.001), not engaging in recreational physical activity (p = 0.016), perceiving one's health as average, poor, or very poor (p < 0.001), experiencing moderate to severe pain in daily activities (p = 0.011, p = 0.004, p < 0.001, respectively), and having 1-2 or ≥3 chronic conditions (p = 0.003, p < 0.001, respectively). Conversely, being married (p = 0.001) and alcohol consumption (p = 0.007) were identified as protective factors.

Abstract
PURPOSE A better understanding of the multi-dimensional burden and impact of migraine has grown over recent years, yet the tools used to measure these concepts have not been updated to reflect such findings. Additionally, due to the increase in the number of both prophylactic and acute therapeutic options for migraine, a comprehensive assessment of treatment response is necessary. The goal of this project was to develop a patient guided outcome measure which evaluates patient identified efficacy factors when appraising migraine treatment response. METHODS A group of patients with migraine (N = 10) were given an in-person semi-structured interview collecting information regarding a patient's perspective on meaningful response to headache and migraine treatment. Using the patient information collected during these interviews, a set of questions aimed at evaluating meaningful response were developed. Two additional groups (N = 100, 200) of patients with migraine then provided feedback on the drafted questions in an online setting. RESULTS Interviews indicated thematic areas of interest to patients with migraine are not commonly assessed on popular measures. Over two hundred items were developed to assess thematic areas indicated by patients. Factor analysis used on the focus groups' results led to the development of an 18-item scale (Functional Assessment of Migraine Scale-Research: FAMS-R) that assesses the impact of migraine on a patient and shows the potential to measure treatment response. CONCLUSION The FAMS portrays promising results at measuring a multi-faceted migraine treatment response and disease impact.

Abstract
The Functional Assessment of Migraine Scale (FAMS) is a newly developed questionnaire that allows patients to indicate their response to migraine treatment [1]. The datasets provided in this article were collected on patients with migraine using survey methodology in two rounds of data collection. In the first dataset (n = 100), patients were shown 210 proposed questions for the FAMS and rated their usefulness and/or relevance for assessing their treatment response [2]. Using factor analyses, the best items were selected for the second data collection (n = 200). Patients completed the final proposed 72 items along with two other popular measures of migraine assessment [3]. Both datasets include demographic and migraine related information (gender, race, medication, number of headache and migraine days). These data provide a wealth of information about the number and types of medications a patient with migraine may take, coupled with information about their perceived response to treatment with those medications. Because the FAMS was developed to assess a wide range of concerns voiced by patients, this data offers new insights into a large health population beyond the normal scope of research studies.

Abstract
Objective As one of the most common primary headaches in clinical practice, migraine affects the learning ability and life quality of college students worldwide, posing a heavy burden on individuals and society. This study aims to investigate the incidence of migraine among Chinese medical college students and to explore its characteristics and typical triggers. Method From July 2019 to July 2020, North Sichuan Medical College in Sichuan province, China preliminarily screened migraine cases using ID-Migraine through cluster sampling. College students with positive ID-Migraine results would be included in this study if they were further diagnosed with migraine by neurologists based on ICHD-3. After the ethical review, patients’ personal and headache information would be collected, and the frequency, severity, onset time, and related triggers of migraine would be measured. Results The preliminary screening covered 8783 college students. The overall prevalence rate of migraine is 6.57%, 5.90% in men and 6.77% in women. The prevalence rate of migraine is higher for students in the first and second grades (8.01%, 8.05%), and students with a family history of migraine are more likely to suffer from migraine (OR = 1.509, 95% CI 1.060–2.148, P = 0.022 < 0.005). Staying up late (n = 329, 57.01%), stress (n = 319, 55.29%), catch a cold (n = 313, 54.25%) and sleep disorders (n = 302, 52.34%) are the common triggers. Conclusion Migraine is common among college students in North Sichuan Medical College. The incidence is higher among lower grade students, female students, and students with a family history of migraine. Improving sleep quality and reducing stress may be effective in relieving migraines.

Abstract
Background The purpose of this narrative review is to examine the literature investigating a causal relationship between stress and migraine and evaluate its implications for managing migraine. Methods PubMed, PsycINFO and CINAHL were searched from 1988 to August 2021, identifying 2223 records evaluating the relationship between stress and migraine. Records were systematically screened. All potentially relevant records were thematically categorized into six mechanistic groups. Within each group the most recent reports providing new insights were cited. Results First, studies have demonstrated an association of uncertain causality between high stress loads from stressful life events, daily hassles or other sources, and the incidence of new-onset migraine. Second, major stressful life events seem to precede the transformation from episodic to chronic migraine. Third, there is some evidence for changes in levels of stress as a risk factor for migraine attacks. Research also suggests there may be a reversed causality or that stress-trigger patterns are too individually heterogeneous for any generalized causality. Fourth, migraine symptom burden seems to increase in a setting of stress, partially driven by psychiatric comorbidity. Fifth, stress may induce sensitization and altered cortical excitability, partially explaining attack triggering, development of chronic migraine, and increased symptom burden including interictal symptom burden such as allodynia, photophobia or anxiety. Finally, behavioral interventions and forecasting models including stress variables seem to be useful in managing migraine. Conclusion The exact causal relationships in which stress causes incidence, chronification, migraine attacks, or increased burden of migraine remains unclear. Several individuals benefit from stress-oriented therapies, and such therapies should be offered as an adjuvant to conventional treatment and to those with a preference. Further understanding the relationship between stress, migraine and effective therapeutic options is likely to be improved by characterizing individual patterns of stress and migraine, and may in turn improve therapeutics.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are associated with lower health-related quality of life (HRQoL). However, knowledge about those diseases and predictors with a greater impact on patients' HRQoL as well as knowledge on the complex relationship between HRQoL and comorbidities is lacking. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of NCDs on patients' HRQoL, with a focus on multimorbidity and socioeconomic status. METHODS AND ANALYSIS A primary care-based cross-sectional study is conducted in Flanders (Belgium). Study participants (≥18 years) are medically diagnosed with at least one of the following diseases: cardiometabolic disorders, mental disorders and musculoskeletal disorders. A minimum of 50 general practitioners will participate to recruit participants (convenient sample) and a total of 531 patients will be enrolled (voluntary response sample). Each participant will complete a paper-based questionnaire to gather research outcomes. Statistical analyses will be performed using multiple linear regression models with HRQoL as main outcome parameter, adjusted for possible confounders. This study will generate new evidence on the key predictors of HRQoL in patients with NCDs, and particularly provide new insights in multimorbidity to improve the quality of care in primary care, to support patients' self-management and to allocate resources more effectively. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION The study has been approved by the Ethical Committee of Ghent University Hospital, Ghent, Belgium (reference number: B670201939629) prior to the beginning of the recruitment. Study results will be disseminated through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Few studies have explored the coexistence of migraine and disordered eating attitudes. Furthermore, the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of migraine and disordered eating attitude comorbidity are not clearly understood. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the association between migraine and disordered eating attitudes in relation to personality traits, obesity, quality of life, migraine severity, depression, and anxiety. METHODS This study included 91 patients with episodic migraine and 84 healthy control subjects. Self-report questionnaires were used to evaluate anxiety, depression, migraine-related disability, personality traits, quality of life, and eating disorders. RESULTS The Eating Attitude Test (EAT) showed disordered eating attitudes in 21 patients (23.1%) in the migraine group and eight patients (9.5%) in the control group. Migraine-related disability, anxiety, depression, neuroticism, and quality of life scores were significantly worse in migraine patients with disordered eating attitudes compared to migraine patients without disordered eating attitudes. In migraine patients, eating attitude test scores were positively correlated with migraine-related disability, anxiety, depression, and neuroticism scores, and negatively correlated with quality of life scores. CONCLUSION The association of migraine and disordered eating attitudes was shown to be related to depression, anxiety, quality of life and personality traits and may also indicate a more clinically severe migraine. To the best of our knowledge, there is no literature study that deals with all these relevant data together. However, neuropsychiatry-based biological studies are required to better understand this multifaceted association.

Abstract
PURPOSE Behçet's disease (BD) is a multisystemic perivasculitis with recurrent oral aphthous ulcers, genital ulcers, and eye involvement which was first described in 1937. Neurological involvement in BD patients is referred to as neuro-Behçet's disease (NBD). Studies have shown that BD worsens quality of life. However, there is no study that conducts a head-to-head comparison of quality of life between NBD patients and healthy controls. METHODS Forty patients with NBD and 39 age-sex-matched healthy control subjects were included in this study. Sociodemographic data of all participants were recorded; SF-36 was used to assess quality of life. RESULTS NBD patients had significantly lower SF-36 scores of physical functioning, physical difficulty, bodily pain, and general health perception compared with healthy controls. However, there was no significant difference between the groups according to the SF-36 scores of role limitation due to emotional problems, mental health, vitality, and social functioning. There was no significant difference between parenchymal and non-parenchymal NBD groups according to SF-36, Beck's Depression Inventory, and Beck's Anxiety Inventory scores. Patients with cerebellar system involvement had significantly lower physical and social functioning scores compared with those who did not. Patients with brain stem involvement were found to have higher role limitation due to emotional problems, vitality, social functioning, physical pain, and general health perception scores compared with those without brain stem findings. CONCLUSIONS NBD negatively affects many aspects of the quality of life.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Anger is involved in the emotional experience of pain. Individuals with migraine are more likely to hold their anger-in than controls. However, only one study evaluated anger in cluster headache (CH). The objective is to compare anger between migraine and CH patients. METHODS One hundred thirty-five migraine and 108 CH patients completed the State Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI-2), composed of 7 subscales. State Anger measures the intensity of the individual's angry feelings at the time of testing. Trait Anger evaluates general predisposition to become angry. Anger Expression Out and Anger Expression In measure the extent to which anger could be overtly expressed or suppressed. Anger Control Out and Anger Control In evaluate how individual try to control the outward or inward expression of anger. Anger Expression Index is a general index. RESULTS CH patients have higher median scores than migraine patients in State Anger (46 vs 44, p = 0.012). CH patients have lower scores in Anger Control Out (44 vs 50, p = 0.016). In subgroup analysis, CH patients during the cluster period have higher scores than chronic migraine patients in State Anger (47 vs 44, p = 0.035), while CH patients in headache-free period did not differ from migraine patients. CONCLUSIONS Migraine and CH patients differ in state anger, indicating that CH patients experienced higher intensity of anger during the time of testing. These data add new information about emotional regulation in headache patients and could support the hypothesis of different emotional and behavioral responses to pain in migraine and CH patients.
