Abstract
Objectives To assess the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness of implementing a home-based aerobic and resistance exercise for patients with breast cancer receiving endocrine treatment in Indonesia. Methods This is a mixed methods study with concurrent design consisting of quantitative single-arm pre-post intervention and qualitative study. We recruited patients with breast cancer (N = 36) receiving endocrine treatment and assigned 12 weeks of home-based pedometer-driven walking and resistance exercises using therapeutic bands. Descriptive statistics were used to assess the feasibility (recruitment, retention, and adherence) and safety. The modified Bruce treadmill test was used to measure predicted aerobic capacity (V̇O2 peak). Quality of life and fatigue were assessed using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire and fatigue severity scale. Measurements were performed at baseline and post-intervention and analyzed with the paired t-test or Wilcoxon test. Semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis were conducted post-intervention to explore patients' acceptability. Results The results showed a recruitment rate of 75%, retention rate of 89%, and adherence rates were 53% for aerobic and 78% for resistance exercise. No severe adverse events were reported. Post-intervention interviews identified positive attitudes toward the intervention, with low burden and high perceived benefit. Exercise duration and predicted V̇O2 peak increased significantly (+1.1 min, p = 0.001 and +2.3 ml/kg/min, p = 0.043), but no significant change was detected for Quality of Life (p > 0.050) or fatigue severity (p = 0.299). Conclusions A home-based aerobic and resistance exercise was feasible when implemented in the context of routine care in our study population, improving predicted aerobic capacity. Further research is required to understand limited changes to Quality of Life and fatigue and adaptations to support implementation in additional sites in Indonesia.

Abstract
PURPOSE Exercise program preferences are important for designing physical activity (PA) interventions; yet may change following an intervention. Further, the relationship between preferences and PA behavior change is unclear. This study evaluated exercise program preferences among breast cancer survivors (BCS) before and after a behavioral intervention and associations between program preferences and PA change. METHODS BCS were randomized to the BEAT Cancer intervention (n = 110) or written materials (n = 112). Questionnaires assessed exercise program preferences. Minutes per week of moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA) were accelerometer-measured and self-reported at baseline (M0), post-intervention (M3), and 3-month follow-up (M6). RESULTS At M0, the majority of intervention group participants preferred exercising with others (62%) yet shifted to preferring exercising alone (59%) at M3 (p < 0.001). Furthermore, preferring exercising with others at M0 was associated with greater increases in self-reported MVPA between M0 and M6 (124.2 ± 152 vs. 53.1 ± 113.8, p = 0.014). BCS preferring facility-based exercise decreased after the BEAT Cancer intervention (14% vs. 7%, p = 0.039) and preferring exercising at home/had no preference at M0 had greater improvements in accelerometer-measured MVPA from M0 to M3 (74.3 ± 118.8 vs. -2.3 ± 78.4, p = 0.033) and M0 to M6 (44.9 ± 112.8 vs. 9.3 ± 30.4, p = 0.021). Exercise program preferences regarding mode of counseling, training supervision, and type of exercise changed from M0 to M3 but were not associated with changes in MVPA. CONCLUSION Findings suggest BCS exercise program preferences may change after an intervention and be associated with changes in MVPA. Understanding the role of PA preferences will better inform the design and success of PA behavior change interventions. ClinicTrials.gov, ClinicalTrials.gov number: NCT00929617.

Abstract
PURPOSE Theory-based interventions aimed at promoting health behavior change in cancer survivors seem to be effective but remain scarce. More information on intervention features is also needed. This review aimed to synthesize the evidence from randomized controlled trials evaluating the efficacy of theory-based interventions (and its features) on physical activity (PA) and/or diet behaviors in cancer survivors. METHODS A systematic search in three databases (PubMed, PsycInfo, and Web of Science) identified studies that (i) targeted adult cancer survivors and (ii) included theory-based randomized controlled trials designed to influence PA, diet, or weight management. A qualitative synthesis of interventions' effectiveness, extensiveness of theory use, and applied intervention techniques was conducted. RESULTS Twenty-six studies were included. Socio-Cognitive Theory was the most used theory, showing promising results in PA-only trials and mixed findings in multiple-behavior interventions. Mixed findings were observed for interventions based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and Transtheoretical Model. Limited findings were found in diet-only interventions. A large variability in the extensiveness of theory use, and in intervention techniques was found. Further research is required to understand how and why these interventions offer promise for improving behavior. CONCLUSIONS Theory-based interventions seem to improve PA and diet behaviors in cancer survivors. Further studies, including thorough intervention descriptions, are needed to confirm these findings and identify the optimal features and content of lifestyle theory-based interventions for cancer survivors. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS This systematic review can contribute to the development of more effective interventions to promote long-term adherence to healthy lifestyle behaviors.

Abstract
Social support (SS) and physical activity (PA) can improve quality of life (QoL) in cancer, meaning group PA programs are important for rehabilitation. However, there are many types of SS, and few studies have compared which SS concepts are more strongly associated with PA and QoL. This exploratory cross-sectional study examined the association between several types of SS provided by other people in group exercise oncology classes and PA and QoL among adults living with cancer. It was hypothesized all types of SS would be positively associated with PA and QoL. Participants (N = 72) completed a questionnaire assessing 11 SS predictors, five QoL outcomes, and one self-reported PA outcome, and wore a Fitbit to assess step count for 1 week. Hypotheses were tested using multiple regression. Reassurance of worth support predicted self-reported moderate-to-vigorous PA (R2 = .07, p = .03). Relatedness thwarting negatively predicted general (R2 = .07, p = .03) and social well-being (R2 = .10, p = .01). Social network predicted physical well-being (R2 = .07, F(1, 66) = 4.93, p = .03). There were no significant SS predictors of the other outcomes. Group exercise oncology programs should train instructors to promote reassurance of worth by recognizing or facilitating other participants to recognize participants' PA competence and skills, encourage developing social relationships by creating opportunities to connect over time, and minimize relatedness thwarting by promoting belonging and inclusion. Future research should compare different types of SS in larger samples and diverse populations of adults living with cancer.

Abstract
Wearable health devices are becoming vital in chronic disease management because they offer real-time monitoring and personalized care. This review explores their effectiveness and challenges across medical fields, including cardiology, respiratory health, neurology, endocrinology, orthopedics, oncology, and mental health. A thorough literature search identified studies focusing on wearable devices' impact on patient outcomes. In cardiology, wearables have proven effective for monitoring hypertension, detecting arrhythmias, and aiding cardiac rehabilitation. In respiratory health, these devices enhance asthma management and continuous monitoring of critical parameters. Neurological applications include seizure detection and Parkinson's disease management, with wearables showing promising results in improving patient outcomes. In endocrinology, wearable technology advances thyroid dysfunction monitoring, fertility tracking, and diabetes management. Orthopedic applications include improved postsurgical recovery and rehabilitation, while wearables help in early complication detection in oncology. Mental health benefits include anxiety detection, post-traumatic stress disorder management, and stress reduction through wearable biofeedback. In conclusion, wearable health devices offer transformative potential for managing chronic illnesses by enhancing real-time monitoring and patient engagement. Despite significant improvements in adherence and outcomes, challenges with data accuracy and privacy persist. However, with ongoing innovation and collaboration, we can all be part of the solution to maximize the benefits of wearable technologies in healthcare.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Global Cancer Statistics 2020 reported that breast cancer had exceeded lung cancer as the most frequently diagnosed cancer. Surgery is the primary treatment modality for breast cancer, but postoperative upper limb dysfunction often occurs; functional exercise can alleviate this and restore upper limb function. However, exercise compliance is low in postoperative breast cancer patients; thus, many studies have been conducted in recent years to improve patient compliance with exercise. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of different interventions to improve exercise adherence in postoperative breast cancer patients. METHODS We searched PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, EMBASE, Wan Fang, CNKI, VIP, and CBM databases for eligible studies. Exercise adherence rate and quality-of-life difference were assessed as outcomes. Sensitivity analysis and inconsistency detection were performed to evaluate whether the exclusion of high-risk studies affected the validity. Risk of bias was assessed using the risk-of-bias table in RevMan 5.4. Surface under the cumulative ranking was used to estimate the rankings among different interventions. RESULTS Twenty-five randomized controlled trials involving 9 interventions were included, and the network meta-analysis results showed that patients in the pedometer + counseling group had the best exercise adherence. CONCLUSION Pedometer + counseling care measures are recommended to improve exercise adherence in postoperative breast cancer patients. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE Oncology nurses can improve patients' exercise compliance through counseling and by giving them pedometers to wear.

Abstract
Sarcopenia is prevalent among 11-25% of adult cancer survivors, depending on the cancer type, although the available data on post-treatment survivors in Japan are limited. If cancer patients develop cachexia, they may experience sustained weight loss as a result, ultimately leading to sarcopenia. Conversely, some patients experience post-treatment weight gain, resulting in sarcopenic obesity. Both sarcopenia and obesity elevate the risk of cardiovascular diseases and mortality; therefore, the importance of sarcopenia prevention and management is undeniable. The Guidelines for Exercise for Cancer Survivors recommend continued physical activity. Recent studies have reported the effectiveness of multimodal interventions, combining pharmacological, nutritional, and exercise approaches, necessitating multidisciplinary care for post-treatment sarcopenia. Innovative health interventions using mobile devices have also gained attention. However, studies on sarcopenia in post-treatment cancer survivors, especially those regarding exercise interventions, remain scarce in Japan, primarily due to limited insurance coverage for such post-treatment interventions and workforce challenges. It is clear that some cancer survivors have sarcopenia, which can lead to worse survival and secondary illness. While the benefits of exercise are clear, a comprehensive approach to sarcopenia is a further challenge for the future.

Abstract
Objective The purpose of this study is to conduct a systematic review to assess the effects of different forms of resistance exercises (resistance exercise, resistance exercise combined with aerobic exercise, and resistance exercise combined with other exercises) on physical fitness, quality of life (QOL), and fatigue of patients with cancer. Methods We conducted a systematic review using the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions guidelines. We searched PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases for the studies from the establishment of the database to September 2023, including randomized controlled trials and clinical trials that evaluated the effects of different resistance exercise on physical fitness, QOL, and fatigue in all patients with cancer. Two reviewers independently assessed the quality of all the included studies using the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions and MINORS scale. We divided the intervention into three types: resistance exercise, resistance exercise combined with aerobic exercise, and resistance exercise combined with other exercises. Results In total, 48 studies (3,843 participants) met the inclusion criteria. The three exercise intervention forms have significant effects on physical fitness and QOL, but the improvement effect on fatigue is not clear. A total of 34 studies reported significant and beneficial effects of resistance exercise on physical fitness across all types of cancer. There were 28 studies that reported significant or borderline improvement effects of resistance on QOL, and only 10 studies reported significant effects of resistance exercise interventions on fatigue improvement in patients with cancer. Conclusions Resistance exercise, resistance exercise combined with aerobic exercise, and resistance exercise combined with other exercises all have a positive effect on improving fitness and QOL in patients with cancer. Resistance exercise has an advantage in improving muscle strength, while combined resistance exercise has an advantage in improving QOL; however, there are no consistent findings in improving fatigue, although low-intensity resistance exercise is effective. Abstract
BACKGROUND The influence of self-efficacy-enhancing interventions on quality of life (QOL) is not clear with recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) because current reviews only evaluated self-efficacy as an outcome. OBJECTIVES We conducted a systematic review to examine the effect of self-efficacy-enhancing interventions on QOL among patients with cancer and to summarize the effective determinants for designing self-efficacy-enhancing interventions. METHODS A systematic search was performed on studies published from January 2003 to May 2023 using PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Web of Science. Included studies were RCTs, adults diagnosed with cancer, interventions with explicit self-efficacy components, and QOL as the outcome. RESULTS Nineteen RCTs were included. Risk-of-bias assessment revealed 12 studies with some concerns and 7 with high risk of bias. The mean intervention adherence rate was 88.2%; the most frequently listed reason for dropout was medical conditions and mortality. Self-efficacy interventions were shown to significantly improve at least 1 subscale of QOL in 9 of 19 studies, of which 7 studies used Bandura's 4 sources of self-efficacy. The interventions with between-session intervals shorter than 2 weeks, of 12-week duration, and with an in-person delivery approach were the most effective. CONCLUSIONS Self-efficacy-enhancing interventions show potential beneficial effects on QOL among cancer survivors. Interventions that use Bandura's 4 sources of self-efficacy strategies and have between-session intervals shorter than 2 weeks, an in-person approach, and 12-week intervention duration are recommended. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE Properly designed self-efficacy-enhancing interventions can facilitate behavioral change and improve QOL in cancer survivors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The effects of exercise in patients with breast cancer (BC), has shown some profit, but consistency and magnitude of benefit remains unclear. We aimed to conduct a meta-analysis to assess the benefits of varying types of exercises in patients with BC. METHODS Literature search was conducted across five electronic databases (MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar and Cochrane) from 1st January 2000 through 19th January 2024. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing the impact of different types of exercise on outcomes related to fitness and quality of life (QOL) in patients with BC were considered for inclusion. Outcomes of interest included cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), health-related quality of life (HRQOL), muscle strength, fatigue and physical function. Evaluations were reported as mean differences (MDs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) and pooled using random effects model. A p value < 0.05 was considered significant. RESULTS Thirty-one relevant articles were included in the final analysis. Exercise intervention did not significantly improved the CRF in patients with BC when compared with control according to treadmill ergometer scale (MD: 4.96; 95%Cl [-2.79, 12.70]; P = 0.21), however exercise significantly improved CRF according to cycle ergometer scales (MD 2.07; 95% Cl [1.03, 3.11]; P = 0.0001). Physical function was significantly improved as well in exercise group reported by 6-MWT scale (MD 80.72; 95% Cl [55.67, 105.77]; P < 0.00001). However, exercise did not significantly improve muscle strength assessed using the hand grip dynamometer (MD 0.55; 95% CI [-1.61, 2.71]; P = 0.62), and fatigue assessed using the MFI-20 (MD -0.09; 95% CI [-5.92, 5.74]; P = 0.98) and Revised Piper scales (MD -0.26; 95% CI [-1.06, 0.55] P = 0.53). Interestingly, exercise was found to improve HRQOL when assessed using the FACT-B scale (MD 8.57; 95% CI [4.53, 12.61]; P < 0.0001) but no significant improvements were noted with the EORTIC QLQ-C30 scale (MD 1.98; 95% CI [-1.43, 5.40]; P = 0.25). CONCLUSION Overall exercise significantly improves the HRQOL, CRF and physical function in patients with BC. HRQOL was improved with all exercise types but the effects on CRF vary with cycle versus treadmill ergometer. Exercise failed to improve fatigue-related symptoms and muscle strength. Large RCTs are required to evaluate the effects of exercise in patients with BC in more detail.

Abstract
Background Physical activity is associated with improved health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in breast cancer survivors (BCS); however, no studies have assessed optimal physical activity. Objective We aimed to investigate the optimal types of physical activity for improving HRQoL in patients with BCS during and after cancer treatment. Methods A comprehensive search was conducted in Medline, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library from inception to November 2023. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) reporting the effects of different physical activities on HRQoL in BCS. Two independent reviewers assessed the risk of bias using the Cochrane risk of bias tool for randomized trials (version 2.0). A network meta-analysis approach based on a frequentist framework was used to rank the effectiveness of different physical activities. Results A total of 66 RCTs with 6464 participants were included. For all BCS, aerobic combined with resistance exercise (CE) (standardized mean difference [SMD] = 0.71; 95 % confidence interval [CI]: 0.40 to 1.10; P-score = 0.75; Grade: moderate) was the most effective physical activity to improve HRQoL. For participants in treatment, resistance exercise (RE) (SMD = 0.68; 95 % CI: 0.35 to 1.10; P-score = 0.84; Grade: moderate) was the most effective. However, after treatment, CE (SMD = 0.77; 95 % CI: 0.28 to 1.26; P-score = 0.74; Grade: very low) remained the most effective way to improve HRQoL in BCS. In addition, the regression analysis did not find any sources of heterogeneity. Conclusions The findings of this study suggest that all physical activities improved HRQoL in BCS compared to the control group. CE may have the best effect on all survivors and post-treatment survivors, whereas RE has the best effect during treatment. In addition, the quality of the included studies was low, and there was some risk of bias, which may affect the interpretation of the findings.

Abstract
Background Physical activity (PA) intervention is one of the most effective interventions to promote cognitive function of older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). However, the level of PA remains low. Based on the two core interventions (X-CircuiT and health education), this study aimed to examine the effect of three implementation strategies (viz., role modeling, goal-setting, and reminding) on the PA level among older adults with MCI using the multiphase optimization strategy (MOST). Methods Participants were randomized into one of eight conditions in a factorial design involving three factors with two levels: (i) role modeling (on vs. off); (ii) goal-setting (on vs. off); and (iii) reminding (on vs. off). The primary outcome was PA level at 12 weeks. The secondary outcomes were cognitive function, self-efficacy, and cost-effectiveness at 12 weeks. The intention-to-treat (ITT) analysis was performed as the main analysis and the per-protocol (PP) analysis as the sensitivity analysis. Results A total of 107 participants were included and randomly assigned into three groups, each receiving different implementation strategies. The results of the multivariate regression analysis showed that the three implementation strategies, namely, reminding (B = 0.31, p < 0.01), role modeling (B = 0.21, p < 0.01), and goal-setting (B = 0.19, p < 0.01), could significantly improve PA level. Specifically, it was found that role modeling (B = 0.68, p = 0.03) could significantly improve cognitive function. There were no significant interactions among the three implementation strategies. Role modeling was the most cost-effective strategy, costing 93.41 RMB for one unit of PA. Conclusions Role modeling was likely to be the best implementation strategy. The value-based and cost-effective PA intervention package could include the core intervention (X-CircuiT and health education) and implementation strategy (role modeling). Abstract
Purpose To investigate the effects of various intervention approaches on cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in patients with breast cancer. Method Computer searches were conducted on PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), and Wanfang databases from their establishment to June 2023. Selection was made using inclusion and exclusion criteria, and 77 articles were included to compare the effects of 12 interventions on patients with breast cancer. Results Seventy-seven studies with 12 various interventions were examined. The network findings indicated that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) (SMD, -1.56; 95%CI, -3.08~-0.04), Chinese traditional exercises (CTE) (SMD, -0.85; 95%CI, -1.34~-0.36), aerobic exercise (AE) (SMD, -0.77; 95%CI, -1.09~-0.45), multimodal exercise (ME) (SMD, -0.75; 95%CI, -1.26~-0.25), music interventions (MI) (SMD, -0.74; 95%CI, -1.45~-0.03), and yoga (YG) (SMD, -0.44; 95%CI, -0.83 to -0.06) can reduce CRF more than the control group (CG). For relaxation exercises (RE) (MD, -6.69; 95%CI, -9.81~-3.57), MI (MD, -5.45; 95%CI, -7.98~-2.92), AE (MD, -4.34; 95%CI, -5.90~-2.78), ME (MD, -3.47; 95%CI, -4.95~-1.99), YG (MD, -2.07; 95%CI, -3.56~-0.57), and mindfulness training (MD, -1.68; 95%CI, -2.91~-0.46), PSQI improvement was superior to CG. In addition, for CTE (MD, 11.39; 95%CI, 4.11-18.66), YG (MD, 11.28; 95%CI, 1.63-20.93), and AE (MD, 9.34; 95%CI, 0.26~18.42), Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast improvement was superior to CG. Conclusion Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most effective measure for alleviating CRF in patients with breast cancer and Relaxation exercises (RE) is the most effective measure for improving sleep quality. In addition, Chinese traditional exercises (CTE) is the best measure for enhancing quality of life. Additional randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are expected to further investigate the efficacy and mechanisms of these interventions. Abstract
PURPOSE This study's primary aim was to investigate whether including a mental health component to healthy lifestyle interventions are associated with greater effects on quality of life (QoL) for post-treatment cancer survivors than addressing physical activity and/or nutrition alone. METHODS PsycINFO, Scopus, Medline, CINAHL, and Google Scholar were searched to identify randomised control trials of healthy lifestyle interventions for post-treatment cancer survivors, with a usual care or waitlist control, and measured QoL. Meta-analyses quantified the effects of interventions vs controls at post-treatment on total QoL, physical, emotional, and social well-being. Subgroup analyses compared interventions with vs without a mental health component, modes of delivery, and duration. The quality of the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias 2. RESULTS Eighty-eight papers evaluating 110 interventions were included: 66 effect sizes were extracted for meta-analysis, and 22 papers were narratively synthesised. The pooled effect size demonstrated a small, significant effect of healthy lifestyle interventions in comparison to control for all QoL outcomes (total g = 0.32, p >.001; physical g = 0.19, p = 0.05; emotional g = 0.20, p >.001; social g = 0.18, p = 0.01). There was no significant difference between interventions with vs without a mental health component. Face-to-face delivered interventions were associated with greater total QoL and physical well-being compared to other modalities. Interventions delivered ≤12 weeks were associated with greater physical well-being than those delivered ≥13 weeks. Overall, studies had substantial levels of heterogeneity and 55.9% demonstrated high risk of bias. CONCLUSIONS Participating in a healthy lifestyle intervention following cancer treatment improves QoL. Few trials addressed mental health or evaluated online or telephone modalities; future research should develop and evaluate interventions that utilise these features. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Brief healthy lifestyle interventions can be recommended for cancer survivors, particularly those interested in improving physical well-being.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Exercise interventions have been shown to be beneficial for cancer patients regarding various treatment-related side effects and quality of life. For sustainable effects, patients should continue the training. Therefore, we investigated the maintenance of an exercise training in breast cancer patients, reasons for (dis)continuation, and explored possible influencing factors. METHODS The investigation is based on a 3-arm randomized intervention trial comparing aerobic and resistance training (19 [4]) during or after neoadjuvant chemotherapy among breast cancer patients. About 2 years after breast surgery, 68 patients (age 52 [11] y) provided information about training continuation, self-reported reasons of (dis)continuation, sociodemographics, employment status, age, and body mass index. Training continuation was investigated with Kaplan-Meier analyses. RESULTS The intervention was rated as good or very good by 88.1% of participants. Nevertheless, 52.9% discontinued the training directly, but half of them changed to different types of exercise. Reasons for discontinuation included lack of time and long travel distance to the training facility. The median continuation was 19.0 months (Q1, Q3: 5.5, 36.0) with no statistically significant difference between the intervention groups. Younger, better educated, partnered patients tended toward longer training continuation. CONCLUSIONS The majority of patients continued exercising after the end of intervention. However, a nonnegligible number discontinued training immediately or after few months. Practical, social, and financial support for a transition to an adequate training that is affordable and feasible in the patient's daily life might foster training maintenance. Especially patients who are less educated, elderly, or living alone may need more support to continue exercising.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effectiveness of different types of interventions aimed at enhancing device-measured physical activity (PA) and summarize the devices and methodologies used to measure PA in adults with cancer. DATA SOURCES A systematic review was prospectively registered on PROSPERO (CRD42020199466). The search was conducted in PubMed, The Cochrane Library, EMBASE (via Ovid), and PEDro from 2005 onward. STUDY SELECTION Prospective interventional studies (randomized controlled trials [RCTs], non-randomized controlled trials, and single-group trials), that included adults within 12 months from cancer diagnosis, and device-measured PA before and after commencement of an intervention were included. Studies were excluded if PA was measured at a single time point. Two independent reviewers screened 3033 records and 30 articles met the inclusion criteria. DATA EXTRACTION Two reviewers independently extracted the data. PEDro scale and GRADE approach were used to assess methodological quality of RCTs and overall quality of evidence, respectively. A meta-analysis of relevant RCTs was conducted. DATA SYNTHESIS Thirty studies were identified, mainly including adults with multiple cancer types. Interventions were behavior change interventions (n=15), exercise training (n=13), neuromuscular electrostimulation (n=1), or a nutritional program (n=1). The meta-analysis showed improvements on moderate-to-vigorous intensity PA (MVPA) in the experimental group (8 studies; standardized mean difference (SMD)=0.23; 95% CI 0.06-0.39); with subgroup analysis showing that findings were mainly driven by behavior change interventions (5 studies; SMD=0.23, 95% CI 0.05-0.41). An uncertain effect on sedentary behavior, daily steps, and light intensity PA was found. PA was measured with medical devices and commercial wearables, quality of the methodology was variable. CONCLUSIONS Behavior change interventions increased device-derived MVPA in adult cancer patients who underwent the intervention within 12 months of the cancer diagnosis. Various devices and methodologies were used to assess PA, which limits comparisons across the studies.

Abstract
PURPOSE Determine durable effects of the 3-month Better Exercise Adherence after Treatment for Cancer (BEAT Cancer) physical activity (PA) behavior change intervention 12 months post-baseline (i.e., 9 months after intervention completion). METHODS This 2-arm multicenter trial randomized 222 post-primary treatment breast cancer survivors to BEAT Cancer (individualized exercise and group education) vs. usual care (written materials). Assessments occurred at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months, with the 12 months assessment reported here. Measures included PA (accelerometer, self-report), cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle strength, body mass index, Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy (FACT), SF-36, fatigue, depression, anxiety, satisfaction with life, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), lower extremity joint dysfunction, and perceived memory. RESULTS Adjusted linear mixed-model analyses demonstrated statistically significant month 12 between-group differences favoring BEAT Cancer for weekly minutes of moderate-to-vigorous self-report PA (mean between-group difference (M) = 44; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 12 to 76; p = .001), fitness (M = 1.5 ml/kg/min; CI = 0.4 to 2.6; p = .01), FACT-General (M = 3.5; CI = 0.7 to 6.3; p = .014), FACT-Breast (M = 3.6; CI = 0.1 to 7.1; p = .044), social well-being (M = 1.3; CI = 0.1 to 2.5; p = .037), functional well-being (M = 1.2; CI = 0.2 to 2.3; p = .023), SF-36 vitality (M = 6.1; CI = 1.4 to 10.8; p = .011), fatigue (M = - 0.7; CI = - 1.1 to - 0.2; p = .004), satisfaction with life (M = 1.9; CI = 0.3 to 3.5; p = .019), sleep duration (M = - 0.2; CI = - 0.4 to - 0.03, p = .028), and memory (M = 1.1; CI = 0.2 to 2.1; p = .024). CONCLUSIONS A 3-month PA intervention resulted in statistically significant and clinically important benefits compared to usual care at 12 months. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Three months of individualized and group PA counseling causes benefits detectable 9 months later. Abstract
PURPOSE Anxiety, depression, and poor quality of life (QOL) were considered important concerns that hindered the rehabilitation of breast cancer survivors. A number of studies have investigated the effects of physical activity, but they have not reached the same conclusions. This review aimed to identify the effects of physical activity on QOL, anxiety, and depression in breast cancer survivors. METHODS PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), PsycINFO, SinoMed, CNKI, Vip, and WanFang databases were searched for the time period between January 1, 2012, and April 30, 2022. Studies were included if they were randomized controlled trials of the effects of physical activity on QOL, anxiety, or depression in breast cancer survivors. The tools of the Joanna Briggs Institute were used to assess the quality of the included studies. R software version 4.3.1 was used for meta-analysis. RESULTS A total of 26 studies, involving 2105 participants, were included in the systematic review. Among these, 20 studies involving 1228 participants were included in the meta-analysis. Compared with the control group, the results indicated that physical activity can significantly improve QOL(Hedges' g = 0.67; 95% CI 0.41-0.92) and reduce anxiety (Hedges' g = -0.28; 95% CI -0.46 to -0.10) in breast cancer survivors. However, the effect of physical activity on depression (Hedges' g = -0.46; 95% CI -0.99 to 0.06) was not statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS Physical activity was an effective intervention to improve QOL and reduce anxiety in breast cancer survivors, as well as showed positive trends in depression, although without statistical significance. More well-designed studies are required to clarify the effects of different types of physical activities on the QOL, anxiety, and depression among breast cancer survivors. Abstract
BACKGROUND Physical activity (PA) can improve the physical and psychological health of prostate and colorectal cancer survivors, but PA behavior change maintenance is necessary for long-term health benefits. OncoActive is a print- and web-based intervention in which prostate and colorectal cancer patients and survivors receive automatically generated, personalized feedback aimed at integrating PA into daily life to increase and maintain PA. We evaluated the long-term outcomes of OncoActive by examining the 12-month follow-up differences between OncoActive and a control group, and we explored whether PA was maintained during a 6-month non-intervention follow-up period. METHODS Prostate or colorectal cancer patients were randomly assigned to an OncoActive (n = 249) or a usual care waitlist control group (n = 229). OncoActive participants received PA advice and a pedometer. PA outcomes (i.e., ActiGraph and self-report moderate-to-vigorous intensity PA (MVPA) min/week and days with ≥30 min PA) and health-related outcomes (i.e., fatigue, depression, physical functioning) were assessed at baseline, 6 months, and 12 months. Differences between groups and changes over time were assessed with multilevel linear regressions for the primary outcome (ActiGraph MVPA min/week) and all additional outcomes. RESULTS At 12 months, OncoActive participants did not perform better than control group participants at ActiGraph MVPA min/week, self-report MVPA min/week, or ActiGraph days with PA. Only self-report days with PA were significantly higher in OncoActive compared to the control group. For health-related outcomes only long-term fatigue was significantly lower in OncoActive. When exploratively examining PA within OncoActive, the previously found PA effects at the end of the intervention (6 months follow-up) were maintained at 12 months. Furthermore, all PA outcomes improved significantly from baseline to 12 months. The control group showed small but non-significant improvements from 6 months to 12 months (and from baseline to 12 months), resulting in a decline of differences between groups. CONCLUSION The majority of previously reported significant between-group differences at 6 months follow-up were no longer present at long-term follow-up, possibly because of natural improvement in the control group. At long-term follow-up, fatigue was significantly lower in OncoActive compared to control group participants. Computer-tailored PA advice may give participants an early start toward recovery and potentially contributes to improving long-term health.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The positive influence of most types of exercise has been reported repeatedly, but what the most effective exercise approaches are for improving health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in people with cancer remains unknown. The aim of this systematic review and network meta-analysis was to synthesize the evidence from intervention studies to assess the effects of different types of exercise on HRQoL during and after cancer treatment. METHODS MEDLINE, SPORTDiscus, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Scopus were searched for randomized controlled trials aimed at testing the effects of exercise interventions meant to improve HRQoL in people with cancer. Separate analyses were conducted for HRQoL as measured by general and cancer-specific questionnaires. We also evaluated whether the effects of exercise were different during and after cancer treatment in both the physical and mental HRQoL domains. RESULTS In total, 93 studies involving 7435 people with cancer were included. Network effect size estimates comparing exercise intervention vs. usual care were significant for combined exercise (0.35, 95% confidence interval (95%CI): 0.14-0.56) for HRQoL as measured by general questionnaires, and for combined (0.31, 95%CI: 0.13-0.48), mind-body exercise (0.54, 95%CI: 0.18-0.89), and walking (0.39, 95%CI: 0.04-0.74) for HRQoL as measured by cancer-specific questionnaires. CONCLUSION Exercise programs combining aerobic and resistance training can be recommended to improve HRQoL during and after cancer treatment. The scarcity and heterogeneity of these studies prevents us from making recommendations about other exercise modalities due to insufficient evidence.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aimed to examine the effects of a multi-component mobile health intervention (wearable, apps, and social media) on cancer survivors' (CS') physical activity (PA), quality of life, and PA determinants compared to exercise prescription only, social media only, and attention control conditions. METHODS A total of 126 CS (age = 60.37 ± 7.41 years, mean ± SD) were recruited from the United States. The study duration was 6 months and participants were randomly placed into 4 groups. All participants received a Fitbit tracker and were instructed to install its companion app to monitor their daily PA. They (1) received previously established weekly personalized exercise prescriptions via email, (2) received weekly Facebook health education and interacted with one another, (3) received both Conditions 1 and 2, or (4) were part of the control condition, meaning they adopted usual care. CS PA daily steps, quality of life (i.e., physical health and mental health), and PA determinants (e.g., self-efficacy, social support) were measured at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months. RESULTS The final sample size included 123 CS. The results revealed only the multi-component condition had greater improvements in PA daily steps than the control condition post-intervention (95% confidence interval (95%CI): 368-2951; p < 0.05). Similarly, those in the multi-component condition had significantly greater increased physical health than the control condition (95%CI: -0.41 to -0.01; p < 0.05) over time. In addition, the social media condition had significantly greater increased perceived social support than the control condition (95%CI: 0.01-0.93; p < 0.05). No other significant differences on outcomes were identified. CONCLUSION The study findings suggest that the implementation of a multi-component mobile health intervention had positive effects on CS PA steps and physical health. Also, offering social media intervention has the potential to improve CS perceived social support.

Abstract
In this study, we aimed to conduct a descriptive analysis of the primary physiological and psychological factors influencing the quality of life in women with breast cancer who engage in physical exercise. The study examined the key psychological variables predicting patients' quality of life, perceived support from family and friends, and the perception of physical condition. The sample consisted of 46 women from Cáceres (Spain) aged between 30 and 75 years undergoing breast cancer treatment. The Functional Evaluation Scale in Cancer Therapy (FACT-B+4) was used to measure quality of life; the Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale was used to measure autonomy, competence, and social relationships; the Behavior Regulation Questionnaire in Exercise (BREQ-3) was used to measure the types of self-determined motivation for sports participation; the General Evaluation of Self-Esteem Scale was used to measure self-esteem; the International Fitness Scale (IFIS) was used to measure perceived physical condition; and the Perceived Autonomy Support Scale for Exercise Settings (PASSES) was used to measure the perceived autonomy support from family and friends. A multiple regression analysis revealed that perceived physical condition and self-esteem were significant positive predictors of a variance in quality of life, while intrinsic motivation did not significantly predict it. The findings underscore the importance of promoting autonomous motivation in patients to enhance their physical and psychological well-being through physical activity.

Abstract
This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of various exercise interventions in enhancing the quality of life for breast cancer survivors. To achieve this, randomized controlled trials were identified from major electronic databases, focusing on the relationship between exercise and quality of life in breast cancer survivors. The primary outcome was the impact of exercise on quality of life 12 weeks after the intervention, with a secondary outcome comparing dropout rates between intervention groups and a regular care control group. The study protocol was registered with INPLASY (INPLASY202340007). A network meta-analysis of nine randomized controlled trials involving 725 participants was conducted, examining aerobic and strength training, aerobic activity, yoga, and strength exercise. Results showed that aerobic and strength training was the most effective intervention, significantly improving the quality of life of breast cancer survivors (1.31; 95% confidence interval: 0.49 to 2.12). Aerobic activity had a borderline effect (0.83; 0.03 to 1.63), while no exercise interventions were associated with an increased dropout risk compared to the control group (regular care). The study concluded that concurrent aerobic and strength training can improve breast cancer survivors' quality of life after 12 weeks of intervention without increasing dropout risk compared to regular care.

Abstract
Many middle-aged or older women are treated for cancer and their quality of life can be significantly impaired following treatment. Exercise and dietary interventions could address this. The aim of this review was to determine whether exercise and/or dietary interventions which are scaffolded by behaviour change theories and techniques are associated with improved quality of life in middle-aged and older women following cancer treatment. Secondary outcomes included self-efficacy, distress, waist circumference, and food variety. A search of CINAHL (EBSCOhost), Embase, MEDLINE (EBSCOhost), PsycINFO, PubMed and Scopus databases up to 17th November 2022 was conducted. A narrative summary was provided. Twenty articles discussing 18 independent randomised controlled trials/interventions were included, with a total of 1754 participants. No studies reported the outcomes of distress or food variety. Exercise and/or dietary interventions had mixed effects on quality of life, self-efficacy and waist circumference (positive effect: n = 4/14; n = 3/5; n = 4/7, respectively). Two-thirds of the interventions (exercise-only, n = 2; exercise and diet, n = 2) that demonstrated an improvement in quality-of-life scores were based upon Social Cognitive Theory. All studies that reported improvements in waist circumference employed combined exercise and dietary interventions, with individualised aspects for the dietary components. Exercise and/or dietary interventions could potentially enhance quality of life and self-efficacy, and reduce waist circumference, in middle-aged and older women treated for cancer. Although findings are currently mixed, avenues for the development of interventions include ensuring there is a theoretical underpinning and incorporating more behaviour change techniques in exercise and/or dietary interventions in this population.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Promoting physical activity (PA) in different populations experiencing sleep disturbance may increase population PA levels and improve sleep. This scoping review aimed to examine the effect of various PA intervention strategies on sleep across different populations, identify key sleep outcomes, and analyze knowledge gaps by mapping the relevant literature. METHODS For this study, we systematically searched articles published till March 2022 from PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Embase databases for randomized clinical trials (RCTs) regarding the effect of physical activity on sleep. Two authors extracted key data and descriptively analyzed the data. Thematic analysis was used to categorize the results into themes by all authors. Arksey and O'Malley's scoping review framework was used to present the findings. RESULTS Twenty-one randomized controlled trials out of 3052 studies were finally included with 3677 participants (2852 females (78%)). Five trials were conducted in healthy working-age adults with sleep disturbance but without the diagnosis of insomnia, five in healthy older adults, two in perinatal women, four in patients with cancer, three in mental illness related subjects, and another two in other disease-related areas. PA interventions were diverse, including walking, resistance training, aerobic exercise, housework, water exercise, basketball, smartphone/tablet "apps", web, online videos or wearable actigraphy, and self-determined exercise. Three major themes were identified: (1) Sleep environment may be important to address prior to instituting PA interventions, (2) All types of PA were effective for improving sleep in all populations studied, (3) Self-tolerated PA is safe for improving sleep in the elderly and in co-morbid or perinatal populations. CONCLUSIONS PA is effective and safe for improving sleep in both healthy and co-morbid populations with sleep disturbance by increasing daily activity levels using a variety of strategies, even low intensity, such as housekeeping, sit-to-stand repetitions, along with encouraging PA through web pages, videos, and self-goal setting apps. In addition, this scoping review identifies the need for further therapeutic research and future exploration in populations with sleep initiation or sleep maintenance disturbance.

Abstract
Background Childhood cancer survivors are at elevated risk for poor health-related quality-of-life (HRQOL). Identification of potentially modifiable risk factors associated with HRQOL is needed to inform survivorship care. Methods Participants included 4294 adult childhood cancer survivors from the St. Jude Lifetime Cohort Study who completed a survey and clinical assessment at entry into the survivorship cohort (baseline) and follow-up (median interval: 4.3 years) between 2007 and 2019. The SF-6D compared utility-based HRQOL of survivors to an independent sample from the U.S. Medical Expenditures Panel Survey. Chronic health conditions (CHCs) were graded using modified Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events. General linear models examined cross-sectional and temporal associations of HRQOL with CHC burden (total and by organ-system), adjusting for potential risk factors. Findings Survivors reported poorer HRQOL compared to the general population (effect size [d] = -0.343). In cross-sectional analyses at baseline, significant non-demographic risk factors included higher total CHC burden (driven by more severe cardiovascular [d = -0.119, p = 0.002], endocrine [d = -0.112, p = 0.001], gastrointestinal [d = -0.226, p < 0.001], immunologic [d = -0.168, p = 0.035], neurologic [d = -0.388, p < 0.001], pulmonary [d = -0.132, p = 0.003] CHCs), public (d = -0.503, p < 0.001) or no health insurance (d = -0.123, p = 0.007), current smoking (d = -0.270, p < 0.001), being physically inactive (d = -0.129, p < 0.001), ever using illicit drugs (d = -0.235, p < 0.001), and worse diet quality (d = -0.004, p = 0.016). In temporal analyses, poorer utility-based HRQOL at follow-up was associated with risk factors at baseline, including higher total CHC burden (driven by cardiovascular [d = -0.152, p = 0.002], endocrine [d = -0.092, p = 0.047], musculoskeletal [d = -0.160, p = 0.016], neurologic [d = -0.318, p < 0.001] CHCs), public (d = -0.415, p < 0.001) or no health insurance (d = -0.161, p = 0.007), current smoking (d = -0.218, p = 0.001), and ever using illicit drugs (d = -0.217, p < 0.001). Interpretation Adult survivors report worse utility-based HRQOL than the general population, and potentially modifiable risk factors were associated with HRQOL. Interventions to prevent the early onset of CHCs, promote healthy lifestyle, and ensure access to health insurance in the early survivorship stage may provide opportunities to improve HRQOL. Abstract
Breast cancer survivors with obesity have an increased risk of cancer recurrence, second malignancy, and comorbidities. Though physical activity (PA) interventions are needed, investigation of the relationships between obesity and factors influencing PA program aspects among cancer survivors remain understudied. Thus, we conducted a cross-sectional study examining associations amongst baseline body mass index (BMI), PA program preferences, PA, cardiorespiratory fitness, and related social cognitive theory variables (self-efficacy, exercise barriers interference, social support, positive and negative outcome expectations) from a randomized controlled PA trial with 320 post-treatment breast cancer survivors. BMI was significantly correlated with exercise barriers interference (r = 0.131, p = 0.019). Higher BMI was significantly associated with preference to exercise at a facility (p = 0.038), lower cardiorespiratory fitness (p < 0.001), lower walking self-efficacy (p < 0.001), and higher negative outcome expectations (p = 0.024), independent of covariates (comorbidity score, Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index score, income, race, education). Those with class I/II obesity reported a higher negative outcome expectations score compared with class III. Location, walking self-efficacy, barriers, negative outcome expectations, and fitness should be considered when designing future PA programs among breast cancer survivors with obesity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Benefits of exercise interventions for cancer patients are well established. This systematic review aimed to investigate the sustainability of exercise interventions with respect to physical activity behaviour of breast cancer patients in the longer term. METHODS The databases Pubmed, Cochrane, Embase, and Web of Science were systematically searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating aerobic exercise, resistance exercise, or combined exercise interventions in breast cancer patients and assessing physical activity at least 2 months after the intervention. Random-effect models were used to calculate standardized mean differences (SMD). RESULTS A total of 27 RCTs with 4120 participants were included in the review, of which 11 RCTs with 1545 participants had appropriate data for the meta-analyses. Physical activity was mainly self-reported, and most exercise interventions were supervised. Exercise interventions tended to show a moderate significant effect up to 6 months for moderate to vigorous physical activity (SMD [95% CI] = 0.39 [0.07, 0.70]) and small, non-significant effects on total physical activity at 6 months (SMD [95% CI] = 0.14 [- 0.00, 0.28]) and up to 60 months after the intervention (SMD = 0.29 [-0.31, 0.90]). Differences between intervention characteristics, such as supervised versus unsupervised, were inconclusive due to the small number of RCTs. CONCLUSIONS The physical activity behaviour in breast cancer patients remained improved for several months beyond the end of exercise interventions, but effects were small to moderate and diminished over time. Future studies should clarify how to maintain a healthy level of physical activity after completion of an exercise intervention.

Abstract
Purpose Exercise program preferences are important for designing physical activity (PA) interventions; yet may change following an intervention. Further, the relationship between preferences and PA behavior change is unclear. This study evaluated exercise program preferences among breast cancer survivors (BCS) before and after a behavioral intervention and associations between program preferences and PA change. Methods BCS were randomized to the BEAT Cancer intervention (n = 110) or written materials (n = 112). Questionnaires assessed exercise program preferences. Minutes per week of moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA) were accelerometer-measured and self-reported at baseline (M0), post-intervention (M3), and 3-month follow-up (M6). Results At M0, the majority of intervention group participants preferred exercising with others (62%) yet shifted to preferring exercising alone (59%) at M3 ( p < 0.001). Furthermore, preferring exercising with others at M0 was associated with greater increases in self-reported MVPA between M0 and M6 (124.2 ± 152 vs. 53.1 ± 113.8, p = 0.014). BCS preferring facility-based exercise decreased after the BEAT Cancer intervention (14% vs. 7%, p = 0.039) and preferring exercising at home/had no preference at M0 had greater improvements in accelerometer-measured MVPA from M0 to M3 (74.3 ± 118.8 vs. -2.3 ± 78.4, p = 0.033) and M0 to M6 (44.9 ± 112.8 vs. 9.3 ± 30.4, p = 0.021). Exercise program preferences regarding mode of counseling, training supervision, and type of exercise changed from M0 to M3 but were not associated with changes in MVPA. Conclusion Findings suggest BCS exercise program preferences may change after an intervention and be associated with changes in MVPA. Abstract
Purpose This review provides an assessment of psychological distress (depressive symptoms and anxiety symptoms) and the impact on quality of life in breast cancer survivors with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy induced by taxane-based chemotherapy. Methods The databases PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, and PsychInfo were searched for publications about psychological distress symptoms in breast cancer survivors with chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy from taxane chemotherapy and the impact on quality of life. Results Only eight studies were identified that addressed psychological distress symptoms in BCS with CIPN treated with taxane chemotherapy and the impact of these symptoms on QOL. Of these studies, a majority reported increased symptoms of psychological distress (depressive symptoms and/or anxiety symptoms) in BCS with CIPN. Researchers found that the persistent nature of CIPN and severity of symptoms resulted in decreased QOL. Conclusions This review highlighted a notable lack of research on psychological distress (depressive symptoms and anxiety symptoms) in BCS with CIPN. Furthermore, there was a gap in knowledge in how this psychological distress impacts QOL in this population. Further research is needed to better understand the extent that BCS with CIPN experience symptoms of psychological distress and the impact on QOL. This research would enable researchers to develop interventions focused on decreasing and potentially preventing these symptoms in BCS with CIPN treated with taxane chemotherapy, thereby decreasing the impact on QOL.

OBJECTIVE Breast cancer survivors (BCS) experience many issues of rehabilitative concern due to the treatments they have undergone. Given the chronicity of these outcomes, the increasing number of survivors, and the positive results obtained by supervised exercise, professionals should consider offering self-managed physical activity (PA) programs to this population. Our aim was to map the currently available evidence about self-care rehabilitation for BCS. METHODS Medline, CINAHL, and Cochrane databases were searched for primary literature. Scoping review methodological frameworks were used to tackle the heterogeneity of the topic. Studies investigating self-managed PA interventions prescribed to adult BCS were included. RESULTS One hundred-eight studies were included, with sample sizes ranging from 6 to 692 patients. Information was systematically collected in tables displaying study design, type of PA, duration and recommended frequency, professional leading the study, type of supervision, initial training, strategies used to help patients integrate self-care into their daily lives, and self-managed PA efficacy. Tables were produced for every oncological side effect that BCS might experience: lymphedema, arthralgia, cancer-related fatigue, a decline in physical parameters, treatment-related cardiotoxicity, peripheral neurotoxicity, and a possible decline in the quality of life. CONCLUSIONS Self-managed PA has the potential to improve BCS oncological issues. Professionals can adopt many strategies to support patients and empower them with long-lasting self-care competencies. This scoping review provided a comprehensive and easy-to-consult overview of self-managed PA interventions for BCS. We also provided recommendations for future primary studies and secondary synthesis.

Abstract
PURPOSE Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) can improve the quality of life (QoL) for breast cancer survivors (BCS), yet, most do not achieve 150 + weekly minutes of MVPA. This study investigated moderators of response to a physical activity (PA) behavior change intervention for BCS. METHODS BCS (N = 222) were randomized to the 3-month intervention (BEAT Cancer) or usual care. Measurements occurred at baseline, post-intervention, and 3 months post-intervention. Measures included accelerometry, self-reported MVPA, and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy (FACT-General, FACT-Breast, physical well-being (PWB), social well-being (SWB), emotional well-being (EWB), functional well-being (FWB), additional concerns (AC), and Trial Outcome Index (TOI)). RESULTS Adjusted linear mixed-model analyses indicated individuals ≤ 24 months post-diagnosis and who were single reported smaller increases in weekly self-reported MVPA than those > 24 months (44.07 vs 111.93) and partnered (- 16.24 vs. 49.16 min), all p < 0.05. As for QoL, participants < 12 months post-diagnosis who received chemotherapy experienced smaller improvements than those ≥ 12 months in FACT-General, FACT-Breast, PWB, and SWB scores. Survivors with a history of chemotherapy had smaller improvements in FACT-General, FACT-Breast, PWB, SWB, TOI, and AC scores, all p < 0.05. CONCLUSION These findings indicate that being < 2 years post-diagnosis, single, and prior chemotherapy may limit MVPA and QOL responses to a PA intervention. Further studies are needed to determine if and/or what additional PA supports and resources these subgroups of BCS might find beneficial and effective. Abstract
Objective To facilitate replication and future intervention design of web-based multibehavior lifestyle interventions, we describe the rationale, development, and content of the AiM, Plan, and act on LIFestYles (AMPLIFY) Survivor Health intervention which provides healthy eating and exercise behavior change support for older cancer survivors. The intervention promotes weight loss, improvements in diet quality, and meeting exercise recommendations. Methods The Template for Intervention Description and Replication (TIDieR) checklist was used to provide a comprehensive description of the AMPLIFY intervention, consistent with CONSORT recommendations. Results A social cognitive theory web-based intervention founded on the core components of efficacious print and in-person interventions was conceptualized and developed through an iterative collaboration involving cancer survivors, web design experts, and a multidisciplinary investigative team. The intervention includes the AMPLIFY website, text and/or email messaging, and a private Facebook group. The website consists of: (1) Sessions (weekly interactive e-learning tutorials); (2) My Progress (logging current behavior, receiving feedback, setting goals); (3) Tools (additional information and resources); (4) Support (social support resources, frequently asked questions); and (5) Home page. Algorithms were used to generate fresh content daily and weekly, tailor information, and personalize goal recommendations. An a priori rubric was used to facilitate intervention delivery as healthy eating only (24 weeks), exercise only (24 weeks), or both behaviors concurrently over 48 weeks. Conclusions Our TIDieR-guided AMPLIFY description provides pragmatic information helpful for researchers designing multibehavior web-based interventions and enhances potential opportunities to improve such interventions.

Abstract
Background
Fatigue is a highly prevalent and disabling symptom in cancer survivors. Although many measures have been developed to assess survivors’ fatigue, their ability to accurately capture change following intervention has rarely been assessed in post-treatment survivors. Ultra-brief fatigue measures are preferable in clinical practice but have limited evidence supporting their use with cancer survivors. We examined the psychometric properties of four Fatigue Symptom Inventory (FSI) measures, including the new FSI-3, in cancer survivors. Examined properties included responsiveness to change and minimally important differences (MIDs).
Methods
We analyzed data from three randomized controlled trials with post-treatment cancer survivors (N = 328). Responsiveness to change was evaluated by comparing standardized response means for survivors who reported their fatigue as being better, the same, or worse at 2–3 months. Responsiveness to intervention was assessed via effect sizes, and MIDs were estimated by using several methods. We also computed area under the curve (AUC) values to assess FSI measures’ discriminative accuracy compared to an established cut-point.
Results
All FSI measures differentiated survivors who reported improvement at 2–3 months from those with stable fatigue, but did not uniformly differentiate worsening fatigue from stable fatigue. Measures showed similar levels of responsiveness to intervention, and MIDs ranged from 0.29 to 2.20 across FSI measures. AUC analyses supported the measures’ ability to detect significant fatigue.
Conclusions
Four FSI scales show similar responsiveness to change, and estimated MIDs can inform assessment of meaningful change in fatigue. The FSI-3 shows promise as an ultra-brief fatigue measure for survivors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Physical activity (PA) is associated with improved health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among women with breast cancer; however, uncertainty remains regarding PA types and dose (frequency, duration, intensity) and various HRQoL measures. A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials was conducted to clarify whether specific types and doses of physical activity was related to global and specific domains of HRQoL, as part of the Global Cancer Update Programme, formerly known as the World Cancer Research Fund-American Institute for Cancer Research Continuous Update Project. METHODS PubMed and CENTRAL databases were searched up to August 31, 2019. Weighted mean differences (WMDs) in HRQoL scores were estimated using random effects models. An independent expert panel graded the evidence. RESULTS A total of 79 randomized controlled trials (14 554 breast cancer patients) were included. PA interventions resulted in higher global HRQoL as measured by the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast (WMD = 5.94, 95% confidence intervals [CI] = 2.64 to 9.24; I2 = 59%, n = 12), Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General (WMD = 4.53, 95% CI = 1.94 to 7.13; I2 = 72%, n = 18), and European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-C30 (WMD = 6.78, 95% CI = 2.61 to 10.95; I2 = 76.3%, n = 17). The likelihood of causality was considered probable that PA improves HRQoL in breast cancer survivors. Effects were weaker for physical function and mental and emotional health. Evidence regarding dose and type of PA remains insufficient for firm conclusions. CONCLUSION PA results in improved global HRQoL in breast cancer survivors with weaker effects observed for physical function and mental and emotional health. Additional research is needed to define the impact of types and doses of activity on various domains of HRQoL.

Abstract
Increasing weekly strength training was associated with reduced unhealthy days. No other physical activity and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) changes were linked. Baseline obesity did not moderate physical activity and HRQoL change relationships.
Improved health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is one benefit of physical activity. Yet, there is limited intervention research exploring (1) whether changes in physical activity influence changes in HRQoL among community-based populations and (2) if baseline obesity status influences the relationships. This exploratory analysis used secondary data from rural Appalachian adults who completed the MoveMore arm of a larger randomized control trial (n = 105, Mage = 41.8, 82 % female, 96 % White, Mincome= $25,911). Specifically, this study examined associations among changes in physical activity and HRQOL and whether baseline obesity status moderated changes. Three HRQoL variables (self-rated health status, total unhealthy days, days poor health impacted activities) and two physical activity variables [weekly moderate-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) minutes, weekly strength training minutes] were collected at baseline and 6-months. Regression models, adjusted for age, gender, race, income, education, assessed associations between physical activity and HRQoL change variables. Moderation analyses explored the influence of baseline obesity status on these relationships. Participants reported significant improvements in self-rated health status (P = 0.001), weekly MVPA minutes (P = 0.008), and weekly strength training minutes (P < 0.001). Increasing weekly strength training minutes was associated with fewer days poor health impacted activities (B = -0.040, P = 0.013). Weekly minutes of MVPA was not associated with HRQoL variables. Baseline obesity status did not moderate relationships. Findings suggest increasing weekly strength training may reduce days poor health impacted activities and that relationships among changes in physical activity and HRQoL were not impacted by baseline obesity. Findings have implications for promoting strength activities in community-based physical activity interventions for rural populations.

OBJECTIVE To systematically review the evidence regarding rehabilitation interventions targeting optimal physical or cognitive function in adults with a history of cancer and describe the breadth of evidence as well as strengths and limitations across a range of functional domains. DATA SOURCES PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Plus, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase. The time scope was January 2008 to April 2019. STUDY SELECTION Prospective, controlled trials including single- and multiarm cohorts investigating rehabilitative interventions for cancer survivors at any point in the continuum of care were included, if studies included a primary functional outcome measure. Secondary data analyses and pilot/feasibility studies were excluded. Full-text review identified 362 studies for inclusion. DATA EXTRACTION Extraction was performed by coauthor teams and quality and bias assessed using the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Classification of Evidence Scheme (class I-IV). DATA SYNTHESIS Studies for which the functional primary endpoint achieved significance were categorized into 9 functional areas foundational to cancer rehabilitation: (1) quality of life (109 studies), (2) activities of daily living (61 studies), (3) fatigue (59 studies), (4) functional mobility (55 studies), (5) exercise behavior (37 studies), (6) cognition (20 studies), (7) communication (10 studies), (8) sexual function (6 studies), and (9) return to work (5 studies). Most studies were categorized as class III in quality/bias. Averaging results found within each of the functional domains, 71% of studies reported statistically significant results after cancer rehabilitation intervention(s) for at least 1 functional outcome. CONCLUSIONS These findings provide evidence supporting the efficacy of rehabilitative interventions for individuals with a cancer history. The findings should be balanced with the understanding that many studies had moderate risk of bias and/or limitations in study quality by AAN criteria. These results may provide a foundation for future work to establish clinical practice guidelines for rehabilitative interventions across cancer disease types.

Abstract
Introduction/Purpose Extensive scientific evidence supports exercise benefits after a cancer diagnosis and the field now needs to focus on elucidating effective strategies for implementing exercise evidence-based interventions (EBIs) for cancer survivors. Methods This paper brings together three implementation efforts to describe pragmatic observations and strategies when implementing exercise oncology EBIs in non-research settings. From these projects, we report on common implementation barriers and facilitators. We then mapped these observations and strategies on to the phases and processes described in the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, and Sustainment (EPIS) Framework. Results The first implementation project used key stakeholders' perspectives to develop a toolkit to implement BEAT Cancer (Better Exercise Adherence after Treatment for Cancer), a self-managed intervention led by fitness professionals. The second project adapted a physical activity behavior change intervention (Active Living after Cancer) for use in the broader community. The third project adapted an in-person exercise intervention in a community setting (Physical Activity and Lymphedema) into an out-patient rehabilitation setting, including home-based intervention elements (Strength After Breast Cancer). We retrospectively collated and operationalized the implementation strategies based on the Experts Recommending Implementation Change (ERIC) study. The most common implementation barriers were related to funding, organizational capacity and training, relationship building, patient referral, and engagement with patients. Conclusions These implementation strategies provide initial starting points for the implementation of exercise oncology EBIs in clinical and community settings while also serving as examples for future implementation research to advance the translation of exercise oncology evidence.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Scalable, multiple behavior change interventions are needed to address poor diet, inactivity, and excess adiposity among the rising number of cancer survivors. Efficacy-tested diet (RENEW) and exercise (BEAT Cancer) programs were adapted for web delivery among middle-aged and older cancer survivors for the AMPLIFI study, a National Cancer Institute-funded, multi-site, program project. METHODS Throughout the continental U.S., survivors of several obesity-related cancers are being recruited for three interconnected randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Projects 1 and 2 test 6-month diet or exercise interventions versus a wait-list control condition. Upon completion of the 6-month study period, the intervention participants receive the next behavior change sequence (i.e., diet receives exercise, exercise receives diet) and the wait-list control arm initiates a 12-month combined diet and exercise intervention. Project 3 tests the efficacy of the sequential versus simultaneous interventions. Assessments occur at baseline and semi-annually for up to 2-years and include: body mass index, health behaviors (diet quality, accelerometry-assessed physical activity/sleep), waist circumference, D3 creatine-assessed muscle mass, physical performance, potential mediators/moderators of treatment efficacy, biomarkers of inflammation and metabolic regulation, health care utilization, cost, and overall health. Four shared resources support AMPLIFI RCTs: 1) Administrative; 2) Adaptation, Dissemination and Implementation; 3) Recruitment and Retention; and 4) Assessment and Analysis. DISCUSSION Representing a new generation of RCTs, AMPLIFI will exclusively use remote technologies to recruit, intervene and assess the efficacy of the newly-adapted, web-based diet and exercise interventions and determine whether sequential or combined delivery works best for at-risk (older, rural, racial minority) cancer survivors. Abstract
Tumor-derived cachectic factors such as proinflammatory cytokines and neuromodulators not only affect skeletal muscle but also affect other organs, including the heart, in the form of cardiac muscle atrophy, fibrosis, and eventual cardiac dysfunction, resulting in poor quality of life and reduced survival. This article reviews the holistic approaches of existing diagnostic, pathophysiological, and multimodal therapeutic interventions targeting the molecular mechanisms that are responsible for cancer-induced cardiac cachexia. The major drivers of cardiac muscle wasting in cancer patients are autophagy activation by the cytokine-NFkB, TGF β-SMAD3, and angiotensin II-SOCE-STIM-Ca2+ pathways. A lack of diagnostic markers and standard treatment protocols hinder the early diagnosis of cardiac dysfunction and the initiation of preventive measures. However, some novel therapeutic strategies, including the use of Withaferin A, have shown promising results in experimental models, but Withaferin A’s effectiveness in human remains to be verified. The combined efforts of cardiologists and oncologists would help to identify cost effective and feasible solutions to restore cardiac function and to increase the survival potential of cancer patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The benefits of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) for breast cancer survivors are well established. However, most are insufficiently active. Fit2Thrive used the Multiphase Optimization Strategy methodology to determine the effect of 5 intervention components on MVPA in this population. METHODS Two hundred sixty-nine participants (mean age, 52.5 years; SD, 9.9 years) received a core intervention (the Fit2Thrive self-monitoring app and Fitbit) and were randomly assigned to 5 intervention components set to on/off in a full factorial experiment: support calls, deluxe app, buddy, online gym, and text messages. The intervention was delivered over 12 weeks with a 12-week follow-up. MVPA was measured via accelerometry at the baseline (T1), at 12 weeks (T2), and at 24 weeks (T3). The main effects and interaction effects at each time point were examined for all components. RESULTS Trial retention was high: 91.8% had valid accelerometer data at T2 or T3. Across all conditions, there were significant increases in MVPA (+53.6 min/wk; P < .001) and in the proportion of survivors meeting MVPA guidelines (+22.3%; P < .001) at T2 that were maintained but attenuated at T3 (MVPA, +24.6 min/wk; P < .001; meeting guidelines, +12.6%; P < .001). No individual components significantly improved MVPA, although increases were greater for the on level versus the off level for support calls, buddy, and text messages at T2 and T3. CONCLUSIONS The Fit2Thrive core intervention (the self-monitoring app and Fitbit) is promising for increasing MVPA in breast cancer survivors, but the components provided no additional increases in MVPA. Future research should evaluate the core intervention in a randomized trial and determine what components optimize MVPA behaviors in breast cancer survivors.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study examined the feasibility and acceptability of implementing research-tested physical activity (PA) behavior change counseling (BCC) sessions in an existing cancer-exercise program, and the preliminary effects on cancer survivor's self-efficacy and PA. METHODS Participants were cancer survivors undergoing or within six-months of completing cancer treatment(s), and exercise program staff. Cancer survivors were randomized to receive the exercise program plus PABCC, or the standard exercise program. Feasibility and acceptability were assessed by recruitment, adherence, satisfaction, and a focus group with program staff. Qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive thematic analysis. Self-report questionnaires measured PA and exercise self-efficacy. RESULTS Recruitment was 33 out of 93 (36.7%), and n = 13 (39%) provided post-program data. Cancer survivors enjoyed PABCC sessions, but reported face-to-face delivery was an added time burden. Program staff expressed desire to implement PABCC, but perceived staff capacity and time as barriers to sustainability. Exercise self-efficacy increased by 21.5% in the PABCC group vs. 4.2% in the control. PA increased by 81.3% in the PABCC group vs. 16.6% in the control group. CONCLUSIONS Implementing PABCC in an existing cancer-exercise program was acceptable and promising for increasing moderate to vigorous PA, but additional research is needed to enhance the feasibility and sustainability of translating efficacious behavioral interventions into existing cancer-exercise programs.

Abstract
Purpose Implementing efficacious physical activity interventions in real-world rural settings is needed because rural cancer survivors are more physically inactive and experience poorer health. To address this gap, this study evaluated effectiveness of an evidenced-based physical activity program (Better Exercise Adherence after Treatment for Cancer [BEAT Cancer]) for rural women cancer survivors when implemented by community-based, non-research staff. Methods 16 rural women cancer survivors received BEAT Cancer implemented by a rural, community organization and non-research staff; physical activity, patient-reported outcomes, and social cognitive constructs were measured at baseline and post-program. Cancer survivors and interventionists completed program evaluations post-program. Results Cancer survivor mean age was 58±12 years; 62% were White. Mean months since diagnosis was 54±72; 69% had breast cancer. Significant improvements from pre- to post-program occurred for self-report weekly minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (mean change [M] = 146±186, p = 0.009), anxiety (M = -1.3±1.8, p = 0.016), depression (M = -2.1±2.0, p = 0.001), self-efficacy (M = 20.9±30.5, p = 0.019), barriers interference (M = -15.0±14.1, p = 0.001), and social support (M = 5.0±7.4, p = 0.02). Cancer survivors ranked the program highly, identified strategies that were helpful (e.g., group activities, personalized exercise plan, etc.), and suggested additional implementation strategies (e.g., guide for home-based phase, etc.). Interventionists identified strategies (e.g., logistics, staff training and certification, cost, etc.) for enhancing organizational readiness for program delivery. Conclusion Evidence-based physical activity programs can be effective when implemented by non-research staff in rural settings. Further research testing strategies that improve implementation is needed. Practical Implications Effectiveness and identified strategies supporting delivery when implemented by a rural organization can improve physical activity promotion for rural, at-risk populations.

Abstract
Given the benefits of physical activity for breast cancer survivals, this pilot study aims to assess the feasibility of the MOTIVE program at achieving and maintaining the recommended physical activity level in women diagnosed and treated breast cancer, over 16 weeks. We conduct a pilot-controlled study of 20 women diagnosed with breast cancer stage I, II or IIIa. In this study, women of Intervention Arm (n = 10) received the MOTIVE program. This group was compared to women of Control Arm (n = 10) who received only counselling. Health-related fitness measures, and quality of life were assessed at baseline (t0) and after 4 (t1), 8 (t2) and 16 (t3) weeks. Intervention Arm women reached the recommended physical activity guidelines at t1 and t2 (eff.size = 1.9 [1.0-3.1]), and 90% continued to be active, autonomously, at t3 (eff.size = 1.12 [0.21-2.12]). Intervention Arm participants' arm strength, fitness levels and quality of life also improved over time. No significant improvements in outcome measures were observed in Control Arm participants. These results are encouraging and suggest that the MOTIVE program may be a viable, well tolerated and effective option to help breast cancer women reaching a stable physical activity level over time, which meets prevention-related goals.

Abstract
Two behavioral change-based strategies for promoting adherence to physical activity (PA) suggested to have the greatest potential are the pedometer and Motivational Interviewing (MI). However, there are no comparisons between these two strategies identifying which one is more effective for improving PA adherence. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to determine which PA motivation strategy is more effective for promoting adherence to self-directed PA in female breast cancer survivors. Studies implementing self-directed PA which used a step tracker and/or MI for motivation in female breast cancer survivors were identified from the following databases at two timepoints, September 2019 and June 2020: CENTRAL, PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Sportdiscuss. Sixteen randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were selected for data extraction, whereas ten RCTs were included in meta-analysis. Meta-analysis was performed on pooled data to estimate the standardized mean differences in PA duration and step count, and 95% confidence intervals. The number of participants meeting PA recommendations was also analyzed. Subgroup analysis was performed for three motivational strategies (pedometer combined with counselling, with print material or with motivational interviewing). Meta-analysis showed that pedometer combined with another intervention has a small effect on step count (p = 0.03) and a moderate effect on duration of moderate-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) (p = <0.0001) compared to controls. Additionally, motivational strategies increase the number of participants who meet a PA goal (p = 0.005). The findings of this review endorse the use of a step tracker combined with counselling, print material or MI based on behavioral change theory. This approach provided the most consistent positive effect on adherence to self-directed PA among breast cancer survivors. Future studies should evaluate differences between measures of adherence to self-directed PA, to identify the best motivation strategy for improving patient adherence and health outcomes. Abstract
Physical activity has many physical, mental, and social health benefits. Interventions can be successful at helping people initiate participation, but there is a lack of evidence about the ability of these interventions to help adults maintain their physical activity. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to address this evidence gap. We investigated the extent to which successful physical activity interventions with demonstrated success within randomized controlled trials result in maintenance of device-measured physical activity (at least 3 months post-intervention end). Five databases were searched, and 8919 titles and abstracts were screened for eligibility, and 29 trials met the inclusion criteria. Of these, 22 were included in the meta-analysis. We found that 60% to 80% of physical activity behavior was maintained, as equivalent to an additional 45 min/week of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and 945 steps per day compared with comparators. We also examined trials that randomized participants to maintenance interventions after an initial physical activity intervention (n = 7) and we found small effects (standardized mean difference 0.14, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.1 to 0.27). The evidence suggests that most (60%-80%) of the increases in physical activity in successful programs are maintained for at least 3 months and there are small effects from providing a maintenance intervention to the public. Abstract
Simple Summary Aerobic exercise reduces risk for developing breast cancer or for breast cancer recurrence. In obese women exercise can significantly augment the effects of caloric restriction on visceral fat, reducing metabolic abnormalities and cancer. Women who are older, obese, and sedentary, especially those who have been treated for breast cancer, find it difficult to initiate and achieve the minimum or optimum levels of exercise. In a two-part pilot we found that by providing older, obese, sedentary breast cancer survivors 12 weeks of twice weekly personal training sessions, they could safely increase exercise to ≥200 min/week by 9 weeks during caloric restriction. At 24 weeks, high levels of exercise were still observed with continued behavioral support and study-provided exercise facility. Substantial improvement in visceral fat and breast cancer risk biomarkers were observed with this affordable intervention that is readily exportable to the community. Abstract Aerobic exercise reduces risk for breast cancer and recurrence and promotes visceral adipose tissue (VAT) loss in obesity. However, few breast cancer survivors achieve recommended levels of moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) without supervision. In a two-cohort study, feasibility of 12 weeks of partially supervised exercise was started concomitantly with caloric restriction and effects on body composition and systemic risk biomarkers were explored. In total, 22 obese postmenopausal sedentary women (including 18 breast cancer survivors) with median age of 60 and BMI of 37 kg/m2 were enrolled. Using personal trainers twice weekly at area YMCAs, MVPA was escalated to ≥200 min/week over 9 weeks. For cohort 2, maintenance of effect was assessed when study provided trainer services were stopped but monitoring, group counseling sessions, and access to the exercise facility were continued. Median post-escalation MVPA was 219 min/week with median 12-week mass and VAT loss of 8 and 19%. MVPA was associated with VAT loss which was associated with improved adiponectin:leptin ratio. In total, 9/11 of cohort-2 women continued the behavioral intervention for another 12 weeks without trainers. High MVPA continued with median 24-week mass and VAT loss of 12 and 29%. This intervention should be further studied in obese sedentary women.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Although physical activity is associated with better health outcomes in breast cancer survivors (BCS), activity often declines during cancer treatment. Social cognitive theory (SCT) constructs have been associated with physical activity in post-treatment BCS, but little is known about the relation between these constructs and physical activity during chemotherapy. METHODS BCS (n = 67; Mage = 48.6 [SD = 10.3]) undergoing chemotherapy wore accelerometers and completed prompts in the morning and at night assessing same-day and next-day exercise self-efficacy, physical and psychological outcome expectations, and goal-setting for 10 consecutive days (3 days pre-, day of, and 6 days post-chemotherapy dose) at three time points (beginning, middle, and end of chemotherapy). Separate mixed models assessed between- and within-person associations of each of the SCT constructs associations with same- and next-day moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and light physical activity (LPA), independently. RESULTS Within-person differences in all SCT variables were statistically significantly related to same-day MVPA (p's < 0.001) and LPA (p's < 0.001). Every one-point increase in SCT construct related to an increase in MVPA ranging from (a) 3.70 (self-efficacy) to 8.02 (physical outcome expectations) minute increase in MVPA and (b) 12.72 (self-efficacy) to 20.38 (physical outcome expectations) increase in LPA that day. No same-day between-person effects nor any next-day effects were significant. CONCLUSION MVPA and LPA were related to same-day within-person differences in SCT variables. Interventions targeted at increasing or mitigating chemotherapy-related declines in daily within-person changes in SCT constructs could help to increase physical activity among BCS during chemotherapy.
