Abstract
Palladium complex-supported on boehmite (Pd(0)-SMTU-boehmite) nanoparticles were synthesized and characterized by using XRD, SEM, EDS, TGA, BET, ICP and FT-IR techniques. When applied as a new catalyst for C-C coupling reactions of Suzuki-Miyaura and Mizoroki-Heck in PEG-400 solvent, the Pd(0)-SMTU-boehmite nanoparticles showed excellent activity and recyclability. The study of palladium leaching by the ICP-OES technique and hot filtration led to the catalyst exhibiting excellent stability and recyclability.

Abstract
Abstract
2,2-bis(1H-indol-3-yl)acenaphthylene-1(2H)-ones were synthesised by the reaction of acenaphthenequinone and 2 equivalents of indole using Fe3O4@SiO2@Si-Pr-NH-CH2CH2NH2 as the basic magnetic nanocatalyst, assembled under greener and sustainable conditions in high purity and yields. Furthermore, the photoluminescence properties of 2,2-bis(2-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)acenaphthylene-1(2H)-one were exploited for the sensing of copper ions in the mixed solvent systems comprising H2O and CH3CN in excitation wavelength at 410 nm with a detection limit of 9.5 ∙ 10–6 M.

Selective capture of Pd(II) from aqueous media by ion-imprinted dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles and re-utilization of the spent adsorbent for Suzuki reaction in water. Abstract
The development of highly efficient adsorptive material for the selective capture of Pd(II), and re-utilization of spent Pd(II)-loaded adsorbent as an efficient catalyst for organic synthesis are of great significance, but challenging. Particularly, the heterogeneous palladium-catalyzed Suzuki reaction in aqueous media is much more challenging than that of homogeneous. Herein, several novel Pd(II) ion-imprinted polymers (PIIPs) based on dendritic fibrous silica particles are constructed by surface ion imprinting technology (SIIT), using Schiff base and pyridine groups functionalized organosilicon as functional monomer. The PIIP-3 prepared by 3 g of functional monomer exhibits the best adsorption performance, and shows ultrafast (10 min) and selective capture of Pd(II) with high uptake capacity (382.5 mg/g). Moreover, the waste Pd(II) loaded PIIP-3 (PIIP-3-Pd) can serve as a catalyst towards the Suzuki reaction in water, affording 94.2 % yield of the desired product. Interestingly, the PIIP-3-Pd can be reused 12 times without an appreciable decrease in catalytic activity, which is probably due to the imprinted cavity and specific recognition site of PIIP-3 can match and recapture Pd active species in a complex catalytic environment. Thus, this work demonstrates huge potentials of SIIT to enhance the selectivity of adsorption process and increase the lifetime of catalysts.

Abstract
:
The Santa Barbara Amorphous (SBA-15), with a large surface area covered with abundant
Si-OH active groups on the walls of its pores, can be modified with various organic compounds
to build organic-inorganic hybrid materials, which can be used as a catalyst in organic reactions,
drug delivery systems, nano sorbent due to its high capacity for removing heavy metals in
waste water and as chemosensors for ions. Tunable and straight channels of SBA-15 facilitate the
entrance and diffusion of ions through the channels. This paper presents a review of the past five
years of literature covering the application of SBA-15 as an ions chemosensor in the liquid and
gaseous media.

Abstract
SBA-Pr-Is-TAP was synthesized via functionalization of SBA-15. The synthesized hybrid nanomaterial was characterized by various techniques including FT-IR, TGA, XRD, SEM, and BET. SBA-Pr-Is-TAP could precisely bind Fe3+ and Cr2O72- ions among a range of different species in aqueous media, consequently acting as a nanoporous chemosensor of Fe3+ and Cr2O72- ions. An excellent linear relation was observed between the nanoporous chemosensor and ion concentrations, with acceptable detection limits of 2.43 × 10-6 M and 3.96 × 10-7 M for Fe3+ and Cr2O72- ions respectively.

Abstract
Mesoporous silica nanomaterials provide an extraordinary advantage for making
new and superior heterogeneous catalysts because of their surface silanol groups. The functionalized
mesoporous SBA-15, such as acidic, basic, BrÖnsted, lewis acid, and chiral catalysts,
are used for a wide range of organic syntheses. The importance of the chiral ligands,
which were immobilized on the SBA-15, was mentioned in this review to achieve chiral
products as valuable target molecules. Herein, their synthesis and application in different organic
transformations are reviewed from 2016 till date 2020.

Abstract
The Sonogashira reaction is a cross-coupling reaction of a vinyl or aryl halide with a terminal alkyne to form a C-C bond. In its original form, the Sonogashira reaction is performed with a palladium species as a catalyst while co-catalyzed by a copper species and a phosphine or amine. The reaction is conducted under mild conditions, i.e., room temperature, aqueous solutions, and the presence of mild bases. Undeniably, the Sonogashira reaction is among the most competent and efficient reactions widely used in organic synthesis. This named reaction has proved useful in many organic synthesis areas, including the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, heterocycles, natural products, organic compounds, complex molecules having biological activities, nanomaterials, and many more materials that we use in our daily lives. The presence of transition metals as a catalyst was indeed essential in the Sonogashira reaction. However, recently, the reaction has been successfully conducted without copper as a co-catalyst and phosphines or amines as bases. In this critical review, we have focused on developments in the Sonogashira reaction successfully performed in the absence of copper complexes, phosphines or amines, which could be of particular advantage in implementing green chemistry principles and making the reactions more achievable from an economic viewpoint.
