Abstract
The release of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) into the aquatic environment, specifically the oceans, is increasing, leading to adverse effects on the marine ecosystem. Using optimized QuEChERS extraction methods, the study created the first contamination profiles of 44 EDCs, including organic ultraviolet compounds, pharmaceutically active compounds, hormones, and phthalate esters, in 114 fish muscle samples from five species collected along the Vietnamese coast. The study found that largehead hairtail exhibited the highest total EDCs at 208.3 ng g-1 lipid weight (lw), while Indian catfish displayed the lowest concentration at 105.5 ng g-1 lw. Besides, the study observed notable variations in the total EDCs across distinct fish species. This study hypothesized that the marine economic characteristics of each research location have a significant role in shaping the pollution profile of EDCs found in fish specimens taken from the corresponding area. As a result, a notable disparity in the composition of organic ultraviolet compounds has been observed among the three regions of North, Central, and South Vietnam (Mann-Whitney U test, p < 0.05). Despite these findings, EDC-contaminated fish did not pose any health risks to Vietnam's coastal population.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION In the study, it was aimed to investigate the possible protective effects of curcumin, a potent antioxidant, against the toxic effect of nonylphenol on bone development. METHODS Thirty pregnant female Wistar albino rats were used. The rats were randomly divided into the following five groups; the control group, corn oil group (150 µl/kg/day), nonylphenol group (50 µl/kg/day), curcumin group (100 mg/kg/day) and curcumin + nonylphenol group (100 mg/kg/day + 50 µl/kg/day). The doses were given by gavage from the 5th day to the 20th day of gestation. The fetuses were removed out on the 20th day of pregnancy by cesarean at the end of the study. After the sacrifice of the animals, double skeletal staining in front extremity (clavicula, scapula, humerus, radius, ulna) and hind extremity (femur, tibia, fibula), additionally histological and immunohistochemical examinations in femur bone were performed. RESULTS The nonylphenol group offspring have the lowest weights of fetuses and placenta, head-to-hip lengths, biparietal and occipitofrontal length, and also, bone length percentage and percentage of the ossification area in all measurements of the front extremity and hind extremity Interestingly, the groups treated with curcumin showed close to the control group in terms of double skeletal staining, histological, and immunohistochemical examinations. CONCLUSIONS Our findings demonstrated an association between bone development and exposure to nonylphenol. The findings suggest that curcumin treatments may be effective in accelerating bone formation.

Abstract
Nonylphenol (NP) is a kind of environmental endocrine disruptors which is generally recognized to cause female reproductive toxicity, but its basic mechanism has not been fully elucidated. In this study, granulosa cells (GCs) were treated with 0-70 μM NP for 24 h, the cell viability of GCs was reduced significantly, as well as increased cell apoptosis with G2/M arrest. Furthermore, NP significantly induced autophagy and the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). However, these phenomenons were inhibited by blocking the production of ROS with N-Acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC) administration. Intriguingly, the inhibition of autophagy with 3-Methyladenine (3-MA) could enhance the apoptosis induced by NP. Moreover, the down regulating of p-Akt/Akt, p-mTOR/mTOR and subsequent up-regulation of p-AMPK/AMPK induced by NP can be rescued by pretreatment of NAC. Our findings suggested that NP promotes rat ovarian GCs apoptosis and autophagy simultaneously, which may involve the activation of ROS-dependent Akt/AMPK/mTOR pathway. Whatever, the activation of autophagy is likely to develop a protective mechanism to improve the apoptosis of rat ovarian GCs induced by NP.

Abstract
Nonylphenols (NPs) are endocrine-disrupting compounds commonly found in the environment and a number of food products. In this study, we constructed a probabilistic risk framework incorporating a Bayesian inference of exposure level in foodstuffs in conjunction with effect analysis of reproduction and renal disease. Our objective was to contrast the risk of dietary exposure to NPs among individuals in various age groups, with a particular focus on fertile females. In this study, seafood presented relatively high NP concentrations; however, seafood accounts for only a small proportion of the total food intake of most individuals. Rice was shown to make the largest contribution to NP daily intake among males and females in most age groups. Chicken made the largest contribution in the 12-16 and 16-18 year age groups. The mean average daily dose of NPs tended to decrease with age, regardless of gender. The estimated distribution of hazard quotients of <1 in all groups means that the risk of reproductive or renal abnormalities due to dietary exposure to NPs is negligible within most of the Taiwanese population. Nonetheless, preschoolers (3-6-year-olds) appear to be more vulnerable to NPs than do individuals in other age groups. There has been growing concern among researchers concerning the neurotoxic effects of NPs on offspring via maternal exposure. We recommend conducting a comprehensive assessment of exposure to NPs via multiple exposure routes, particularly among fertile women and preschoolers.

Abstract
The physiologically based toxicokinetic (PBTK) model was firstly developed in female rats to quantitatively evaluate toxicokinetics of nonylphenol (NP). Changes in NP serum concentrations over time of single oral NP administration experiments in Sprague-Dawley rats and literature data were collected to establish and calibrate the PBTK model in the SimBiology framework. The calibrated model predicted the serum and tissue NP concentrations of repeat oral NP administration for model evaluation. NP concentrations in serum and tissues (liver, kidneys, adipose, brain, uterus and ovaries) were quantified using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). The model output of the time course data (values are within the standard deviation defined for each data point) indicated proximity of predictions to reality. The coefficients of determination r2 were all greater than 0.9, and the root mean squared error (RMSE) were within 0.177-2.027, which means the model predicted and observed serum NP concentrations were in excellent agreement. The results indicated that the model could contribute to a simplification of the future exposure risk assessments of NP in a more realistic scenario and provided a better understanding of the disposition process of NP in human.
