Abstract
A new di-recognition nitrogen-doped carbon dot nanosurface aptamer molecularly imprinted polymer (CDNAg@MIPApt) nanocatalytic di-functional probe was prepared by microwave irradiation. The probe was utilized nitrogen-doped silver carbon dots (CDNAg) as the matrix, glyphosate (Gly) as the template molecule, α-methyl acrylate as the monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker, and aptamer as the biorecognition element. It could not only recognize Gly but also exhibits catalytic amplification function. It was found that CDNAg@MIPApt catalyzed the redox reaction of polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400)-AgNO3 to generate silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The AgNPs indicator component exhibit the effects of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS) and surface plasmon resonance absorption (Abs). In the presence of Gly, it binds to the surface imprinted site of CDNAg@MIPApt, to reduce AgNPs generation due to the catalytic activity of CDNAg@MIPApt decreasing. Thus, the SERS/RRS/Abs signal values decreased linearly. The linear ranges of SERS/RRS/Abs assay were 0.1-2.5 nM, 0.25-2.75 nM and 0.5-5 nM respectively. The detection limits were 0.034 nM, 0.071 nM and 0.18 nM Gly.

Abstract
Histamine has been known as a momentous cause of biogenic amine poisoning. Therefore, the content of histamine in foods is strictly required to be controlled within a certain range. Here, an aptamer fluorescent sensor was developed for detection of histamine. Poly [(9, 9-di-n-octylfluorenyl-2, 7-diyl)-alt-(benzo [2,1,3] thiadia-zol-4, 8-diyl)] (PF8BT) and the styrene maleic anhydride copolymer (PSMA) were used for the preparation of PF8BT-Polymer dots (PF8BT-Pdots). PF8BT-Pdots and the cyanine3-phosphoramidite (Cy3) were linked through aptamer to achieve the ratiometric detection for histamine. PF8BT-Pdots were partly quenched by Cy3 due to the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), when the histamine molecule was recognized by aptamer on the surface of PF8BT-Pdots. A linear range (3-21 μmol/L) was obtained for histamine detection with a low limit of detection (LOD = 0.38 μmol/L). PF8BT aptamer Pdots (PF8BT-A) were used to detect histamine in simply treated aquaculture water and tuna. The cell imaging of HeLa cells presented a good biosecurity and outstanding fluorescent imaging capability of PF8BT-A. The aptamer fluorescent sensors provided a new platform for rapid and accurate detection of histamine in aquatic products and had great potential for the application in food safety and quality control.

Abstract
In this work, a novel molecularly imprinted electrochemical aptasensor (MIEAS) was developed for highly selective detection of dexamethasone (Dex) in natural water environment. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) modified by nitrogen doped molybdenum carbide-graphene (N-Mo2C-Gr) were employed as the supports, where N-Mo2C-Gr improved the conductivity of the electrode and provided a larger specific surface area to polymerize more active substances. Using Dex as template molecule, o-phenylenediamine (o-PD) as the chemical functional monomer and aptamer as the biofunctional monomer, a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) membrane with Dex specific recognition sites was formed by electropolymerization. Due to the synergistic effect of MIP and aptamers, the as-prepared MIEAS exhibited a decent linear relationship to Dex detection within a relatively wide range of 10-13 - 10-5 M, and the detection limit was 1.79 × 10-14 M. The recovery in actual water and tablet samples is satisfactory, which confirms the potential application prospects of this sensor in the determination of Dex.

Abstract
Escherichia coli O157:H7 (E. coli O157:H7) emerges as a significantly worrisome pathogen associated with foodborne illnesses, emphasizing the imperative for creating precise detection tools. In this investigation, we developed a sensitive colorimetric biosensor for detecting E. coli O157:H7. It was constructed using a nanozyme comprised of Au@Fe3O4 NPs, which was fabricated and subsequently modified with an aptamer (Apt). The nanozyme harnesses its inherent peroxidase-like activity to facilitate the transformation of reduced TMB into its oxidized form in the presence of H2O2, resulting in a noticeable shift to a blue color. However, the presence of E. coli O157:H7 effectively diminished the absorbance of oxidized TMB. Consequently, the normalized absorbance at 652 nm demonstrates a linear decrease corresponding to concentrations of E. coli O157:H7 within the range of 101 to 108 CFU mL-1 with a low limit of detection (LOD, S/N = 3) of 3 CFU mL-1.

Abstract
Lysine-capped gold nanoclusters doped with silver (LYS@Ag/Au NCs) have been developed for the sensitive and selective "turn-off" fluorescence detection of histamine. This fluorescent probe demonstrates excellent stability and a high quantum yield of 9.45%. Upon addition of histamine, a positively charged biogenic amine, to the LYS@Ag/Au NCs fluorescent probe, its fluorescence emission is quenched due to electrostatic interaction, aggregation, and hydrogen bond formation. The probe exhibits good sensitivity for the determination of histamine within the range of 0.003-350 μM, with a detection limit of 0.001 μM based on a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. Furthermore, the probe has been applied to detect biogenic amines in complicated matrices, highlighting its potential for practical applications. However, interference from the analogue histidine was observed during analysis, which can be mitigated by using a Supelclean™ LC-SAX solid-phase extraction column for removal.

Abstract
Biosensors are being studied extensively for their ability to detect and analyze molecules. There has been a growing interest in combining molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) and aptamers to create hybrid recognition elements that offer advantages such as target binding, sensitivity, selectivity, and stability. These hybrid elements have been successfully used in identifying a wide range of analytes in food samples. However, the application of MIP-based aptasensors in different sensing approaches is still challenging due to the low conductivity of MIPs-aptamers and limited adsorption capacity of MIPs. To address these limitations, researchers have been exploring the use of nanomaterials (NMs) to design efficient multiple-recognition systems that exploit the synergies between aptamers and MIPs. These hybrid systems can enhance the sensitivity and selectivity of MIP-based aptasensors in quantifying analytical samples. This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in the field of MIP-based aptasensors. It also introduces technologies that combine MIPs and aptamers to achieve higher sensitivity and selectivity in quantifying analytical samples. The review also highlights potential future trends and practical approaches that can be employed to address the limitations of MIP-based aptasensors, including the use of new NMs, the development of new fabrication techniques, and the integration of MIP-based aptasensors with other analytical tools.

Abstract
In this study, we present a thoughtful integration of a dispersive solid-phase sorbent and oxine for the ultrasensitive and highly selective determination of Al3+ ions. Cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (CoFe2O4 NPs) modified with oxine were employed to facilitate the pre-concentration and estimation of Al3+, forming highly fluorescent chelate. The modification process included the assistance of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and sonication. The results indicated that the fluorescence intensity of Al3+-oxine/SDS@CoFe2O4 NPs surpassed that of Al3+-oxine alone. The confirmation of the successful functionalization of CoFe2O4 NPs with oxine was established through various techniques. Under optimal conditions, the fluorescence intensity exhibited a positive correlation with increasing concentrations of Al3+ within the range of 0.029-600 ng mL-1, achieving a detection limit of 0.0087 ng mL-1 based on signal to noise ratio 3 : 1. The developed method was effectively applied to the determination of Al3+ in drinking water samples, yielding recoveries in the range of 97.19% to 103.13%, with a relative standard deviation (RSD%) not exceeding 3.78%.

Abstract
Biogenic amines (BAs) are a group of organic compounds that are produced through the decarboxylation of amino acids by microorganisms. These compounds are commonly found in a variety of foods and are known to cause adverse health effects if consumed in high concentrations. Therefore, the development of sensitive and rapid detection methods for detection and determination of BAs is essential for ensuring food safety. In this study, a novel colorimetric affordable test strip (CATS) was developed for the colorimetric and naked-eye detection of two BAs of ethylenediamine (EDA) and histamine (HIS) in meat samples. Also, triangular silver nanoparticles (AgNPrs) were used as a diagnostic optical probe, and CATS used as a simple, environmentally friendly, inexpensive diagnostic substrate for on-site recognition of meat spoil. The AgNPrs-based optosensor demonstrated high sensitivity and selectivity towards EDA and HIS, allowing for the detection of low concentrations of the BAs in real food samples such as raw chicken and beef. The system presented a UV-vis technique for HIS and EDA analysis in the linear range of 0.1 μM to 0.01 mM, with an LLOQ of 0.1 μM, and 0.05 to 1 μM, with an LLOQ of 0.05 μM, respectively. Additionally, the performance of the designed CATS in the analysis of produced gases was evaluated, highlighting the potential of this simple and cost-effective strategy for the development of BAs diagnostic kits. This approach provides a simple and cost-effective method for detecting BAs in food, which could be beneficial for ensuring food safety and preventing the harmful effects associated with their consumption.

Abstract
The aptamer (Apt) and the molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP), as effective substitutes for antibodies, have received widespread attention from researchers because of their creation. However, the low stability of Apt in harsh detection environment and the poor specificity of MIP have hindered their development. Therefore, some researchers have attempted to combine MIP with Apt to explore whether the effect of "1 + 1 > 2" can be achieved. Since its first report in 2013, MIP-Apt dual recognition elements have become a highly focused research direction in the fields of biology and chemistry. MIP-Apt dual recognition elements not only possess the high specificity of Apt and the high stability of MIP in harsh detection environment, but also have high sensitivity and affinity. They have been successfully applied in medical diagnosis, food safety, and environmental monitoring fields. This article provides a systematic overview of three preparation methods for MIP-Apt dual recognition elements and their application in eight different types of sensors. It also provides effective insights into the problems and development directions faced by MIP-Apt dual recognition elements.

Abstract
A novel electrochemical sensor with a dual-template molecular imprinting technology was fabricated for the simultaneous detection of paracetamol (PAR) and isoniazid (INZ). The sensor was constructed using nitrogen and sulfur co-doped molybdenum carbide (N, S@Mo2C) and a thin layer of electro-polymerized methylene blue was applied onto the surface of the N, S@Mo2C. The electrochemical sensor demonstrated remarkable analytical efficiency for the concurrent PAR and INZ quantification under optimal circumstances. The system achieved an exceptionally low limit of detection (S/N = 3) of 3.7 nM for PAR, with a concentration range of 0.013 and 140 µM. A LOD of 7.6 nM was attained for INZ, with a linear range between 0.025 and 140 µM. Furthermore, the platform's selectivity was evaluated using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The designed platform successfully detected PAR and INZ in authentic samples with recoveries varying between 98.3% and 104.9%. The relative standard deviations (RSD) for these measurements ranged from 2.7 to 4.0%, demonstrating that the proposed sensor is extremely stable, repeatable, and reproducible. These promising results suggest that the sensor holds potential for the detection of various (bio) molecules, paving the way for future applications in sensing fields.

Abstract
Carbendazim is often used in agriculture to prevent crop diseases, even though it has been associated with health concerns. To ensure the safety of food products and comply with environmental regulations, an ultrasensitive method for carbendazim determination must be developed. In this study, a new electrochemical molecularly imprinted polymer-aptasensor based on hemin-Al-metal organic framework@gold nanoparticles (H-Al-MOF@AuNPs) was developed for sensitive and selective carbendazim detection. Hemin linked to the surface of the Al-metal organic framework also possesses outstanding peroxidase-like qualities that can electrocatalyse the reduction of H2O2. Thus, H-Al-MOF functions as an in-situ probe. Additionally, AuNPs offer many binding sites to load carbendazim aptamers and create an imprinted polymer-aptasensing interface. Dopamine is the chemical functional monomer in the electropolymerised film, while carbendazim is the template molecule. Thus, compared to the molecularly imprinted polymer or aptasensor alone, the molecularly imprinted polymer-aptasensor showed greater selectivity due to the synergistic action of the polymer and carbendazim aptamer towards carbendazim. A decrease in peak current was observed by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and chronoamperometry (CA) as the concentration of carbendazim increased. This possibly resulted from carbendazim connecting to the carbendazim aptamer and simultaneously blocking the imprinted polymer cavities on the surface of the modified electrode, which reduced the transfer of electrons. Signals were observed for hemin DPV and H2O2 catalytic reduction CA. DPV and CA showed that the linear ranges for carbendazim were 0.3 fmol L-1-10 pmol L-1 and 0.7 fmol L-1-10 pmol L-1, respectively, with limits of detection of 80 and 300 amol L-1. Satisfactory recoveries were obtained with tap water, apple juice, and tomato juice samples, demonstrating that the proposed sensor has potential for food and environmental analysis.

Abstract
The availability of more efficient analytical methods that answer the world's demands is a challenge and their development continues to be a difficult task. In this work the construction of an electrochemical cell, based on low-cost and accessible materials, that can be easily constructed and used for electroanalytical purposes, is described. Pencil leads were used as electrodes and a transparency sheet as the base. This cell was used as transducer for developing an amperometric biosensor for the quantification of histamine, which is the only biogenic amine regulated by law. The analysis was based on the use of diamine oxidase as biorecognition element, hexacyanoferrate(III) as electron-transfer mediator, and chronoamperometry, at +0.5 V during 100 s, to record the analytical signal. A linear relationship between histamine concentration and the analytical signal was established between 5.0 and 35 mg L-1 and a low limit of detection (1.0 mg L-1) was achieved. The analysis of different fish species (sardine and tuna) was performed, obtaining recovery values between 102% and 110%. The stability of the sensor is noteworthy: it maintained 95% of the initial analytical signal after 15 days.

Abstract
A new nanocomposite consisting of lanthanum ferrite nanoparticles (LaFeO3 NPs) integrated with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was fabricated via facile sonochemical approach. The engineered nanocomposite was applied to simultaneously determine acetaminophen (ACP) and dopamine (DA) in a binary mixture. The LaFeO3 NPs@CNT probe possesses several advantages such as superior conductivity, large surface area, and more active sites, improving its electrocatalytic activity towards ACP and DA. Under optimized conditions, the anodic peak currents (Ipa) linearly increased with increasing concentration of ACP and DA in the range 0.069-210 µM and 0.15-210 µM, respectively. The sensitivity of LaFeO3 NPs@CNTs/glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for detecting ACP and DA is 7.456 and 5.980 μA·μM-1·cm-2, respectively. The detection limits (S/N = 3) for ACP and DA are 0.02 μM and 0.05 μM, respectively. Advantages of LaFeO3 NPs@CNTs/GCE for the detection of ACP and DA include wide linear ranges, low-detection limits, good selectivity, and long-term stability. The as-fabricated electrode was applied to determine ACP and DA in pharmaceutical formulations and human serum samples with recoveries ranging from 97.7 to 103.3% and an RSD that did not exceed 3.7%, confirming the suitability of the proposed sensor for the determination of ACP and DA in real samples. This study not only presents promising opportunities for enhancing the sensitivity and stability of electrochemical sensors used in the detection of bioanalytes but also significantly contributes to the progress of unique and comprehensive biochemical detection methodologies.

Abstract
This study aims to develop a MIP-Apt-based electrochemical biosensor for the sensitive and selective determination of Lysozyme (Lyz), a food allergen. For the development of the sensor, in the first stage, modifications were made to the screen-printed electrode (SPE) surface with graphene oxide (GO) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) to increase conductivity and surface area. The advantages of using aptamer (Apt) and molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technology were combined in a single biointerface in the prepared sensing tool. Surface characterization of the biosensor was performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS), contact angle measurements, cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). A wide linear range from 0.001 to 100 pM was obtained under optimized conditions for the determination of Lyz detection using the proposed MIP-Apt sensing strategy. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) for Lyz were 3.67 fM and 12 fM, respectively. This biosensor displays high selectivity, repeatability, reproducibility, and long storage stability towards Lyz detection. The results show that a sensitive and selective sensor fabrication is achieved compared with existing methods.

An innovative dual-signal electrochemical ratiometric determination of creatinine based on silver nanoparticles with intrinsic self-calibration property for bimetallic Prussian blue analogues. Abstract
An ultrasensitive dual-signal ratiometric electrochemical sensor was developed for creatinine detection utilizing silver nanoparticles (Ag) with intrinsic self-calibration afforded by iron-nickel bimetallic Prussian blue (FeNiPBA) analogues. The Ag@FeNiPBA exhibits two redox signals corresponding to the Ag+/Ag and Fe3+/Fe2+ systems. Adding chloride (Cl-) solution increases the anodic current of the Ag/Ag system significantly due to the formation of silver chloride through solid-state electrochemistry. While the anodic current of the Ag/Ag system decreases in the presence of creatinine due to the competitive reaction, the Fe/Fe system's anodic current remains the same, which enables a ratiometric response. Under optimized conditions, the response ratio (IAg/IFe) decreases while the creatinine concentration increases linearly between 0.015 and 140 μM, with 0.004 μM as a good detection limit (S/N = 3). These results demonstrate superior performance over previously reported methods for electrochemical creatinine determination. The high sensitivity arises from the signal amplification of the Ag/AgCl solid-state electrochemistry, while the selectivity originates from the specific interaction between Ag+ and creatinine. The Ag@FeNiPBA hybrid can quantify creatinine in real samples with good recoveries. This work opens up new opportunities for applying dual-signal nanostructures to develop electrochemical sensors for (bio)molecule detection.

Abstract
A novel molecularly imprinted ratiometric-based sensor was designed for highly selective and ultrasensitive electrochemical detection of glutathione (GSH). The sensor consists of porous carbon co-doped with nitrogen and sulfur formed on the surface of graphite electrode (N, S@PC/GE). Silver nanoparticles (Ag) were grown on the surface of N, S@PC/GE to improve the conductivity/surface area of the sensor and represent an internal reference signal for ratiometric response. The monomer (pyrrole-4-carboxylic acid, Py-COOH) was electro-polymerized on the surface of Ag/N, S@PC/GE in the presence of Cu (II) to form Cu-MIP@Ag/N, S@PC/GE. Addition of GSH decreased the signal of Ag at 0.18 V (oxidation of Ag) due to coordination complexation, while the signal response at 0.83 V (oxidation of Ag-GSH complex) was increased. Under optimum conditions, the ratio response (IGSH/IAg) was increased with increasing the concentration of GSH in the range of 0.01-500 nM with a detection limit (S/N = 3) of 0.003 nM. The electrochemical sensor exhibits many advantages including low LOD, high selectivity, good reproducibility, and satisfactory stability. The sensor was successfully applied to determine GSH in dietary supplements and human serum samples with recoveries % ranged from 97.4 to 101.8% and relative standard deviation % (RSD %) did not exceed 3.8%. This research paper introduces new information for the construction of molecular imprinted ratiometric-based electrochemical sensors for highly selective and sensitive detection of (bio) molecules.

Abstract
A novel molecularly imprinted electrochemical aptasensor (MIEAS) was constructed for selective progesterone (P4) detection based on SnO2-graphene (SnO2-Gr) nanomaterial and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). SnO2-Gr with a large specific area and excellent conductivity improved the adsorption capacity of P4. Aptamer, as biocompatible monomer, was captured by AuNPs on modified electrode through Au-S bond. An electropolymerized molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) film consisted of p-aminothiophenol as chemical functional monomer and P4 as template molecule. Due to the synergetic effect of MIP and aptamer towards P4, this MIEAS exhibited better selectivity than the sensor with MIP or aptamer as single recognition element. The prepared sensor had a low detection limit of 1.73 × 10-15 M in a wide linear range from 10-14 M to 10-5 M. Satisfactory recovery obtained in tap water and milk samples proved that this sensor had great potential in environmental and food analysis.

Abstract
A synergistic hybrid was fabricated for the electrochemical aptasensing of acrylamide (AAM) via molecularly imprinted technology. The aptasensor depends on the modification of glassy carbon electrode with AuNPs and reduced graphene oxide (rGO)/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) {Au@rGO-MWCNTs/GCE}. The aptamer (Apt-SH) and AAM (template) were incubated with the electrode. After that, the monomer was electro-polymerized to fabricate molecular imprinted polymeric film (MIP) over the surface of Apt-SH/Au@rGO/MWCNTs/GCE. The modified electrodes were characterized using different morphological and electrochemical techniques. Under optimum conditions, the aptasensor exhibited a linear relationship between AAM concentration and anodic peak current difference (ΔIpa) in the range of 1-600 nM with a limit of quantitation (LOQ, S/N = 10) and a limit of detection (LOD, S/N = 3) of 0.346 and 0.104 nM, respectively. The aptasensor was successfully applied for the determination of AAM in potato fries samples with recoveries % in the range of 98.7-103.4 % and RSDs did not exceed 3.2 %. The advantages of MIP/Apt-SH/Au@rGO/MWCNTs/GCE are low detection limit, high selectivity, and satisfactory stability towards AAM detection.

Abstract
Interfacing recognition materials with transducers has consistently presented a challenge in the development of sensitive and specific chemical sensors. In this context, a method based on near-field photopolymerization is proposed to functionalize gold nanoparticles, which are prepared by a very simple process. This method allows in situ preparation of a molecularly imprinted polymer for sensing by surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). In a few seconds, a functional nanoscale layer is deposited by photopolymerization on the nanoparticles. In this study, the dye Rhodamine 6G was chosen as a model target molecule to demonstrate the principle of the method. The detection limit is 500 pM. Due to the nanometric thickness, the response is fast, and the substrates are robust, allowing regeneration and reuse with the same performance level. Finally, this method of manufacturing has been shown to be compatible with integration processes, allowing the future development of sensors integrated in microfluidic circuits and on optical fibers.

Abstract
Pathogenic bacteria cause disease outbreaks and threaten human health, prompting the research on advanced detection assays. Herein, we developed a selective molecular imprinted aptasensor for sensitive and prompt quantitation of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacteria. The aptasensor was constructed by immobilization of aptamer on gold nanoparticles modified magnetic nanoparticles (apt-AuNPs@ Fe3O4). A functional monomer (o-phenylenediamine, o-phen) was electro-polymerized on the surface of the as-synthesized nanocomposite in the presence of a template (S. aureus). After removing S. aureus, the formed imprinted sites were available to extract pathogenic bacteria from complicated matrices. The surface morphology of the as-fabricated nanocomposites was characterized using different spectroscopic and electrochemical methods. Moreover, we thoroughly evaluated factors affecting the synthesis and determination procedures. The molecular imprinted aptasensor exhibited a wide linear range of 101–107 CFU mL−1 with a Limit of Detection, LOD (signal to noise = 3) of 1 CFU mL−1. The aptasensor detected S. aureus in milk, conduit water, and apple juice samples with good recoveries % and satisfactory relative standard deviations (RSDs %) values.

Abstract
Molecular imprinting–aptamer techniques exhibit the advantages of molecular imprinting and aptamer technology. Hybrids of molecularly imprinted polymer–aptamer (MIP–aptamer) prepared by this technique have higher stability, binding affinity and superior selectivity than conventional molecularly imprinted polymers or aptamers. In recent years, molecular imprinting–aptamer technologies have attracted considerable interest for the selective recognition of target molecules in complex sample matrices and have been used in molecular recognition such as antibiotics, proteins, viruses and pesticides. This review introduced the development of molecular imprinting–aptamer-combining technologies and summarized the mechanism of MIP–aptamer formation. Meanwhile, we discussed the challenges in preparing MIP–aptamer. Finally, we summarized the application of MIP–aptamer to the molecular recognition in disease diagnosis, environmental analysis, food safety and other fields.

Abstract
Heavy metal pollution resulting from significant heavy metal waste discharge is increasingly serious. Traditional methods for the detection of heavy metal ions have high requirements on external conditions, so developing a sensitive, simple, and reproducible detection method is becoming an urgent need. The aptamer, as a new kind of artificial probe, has received more attention in recent years for its high sensitivity, easy acquisition, wide target range, and wide use in the detection of various harmful substances. The detection platform that an aptamer-based electrochemical biosensor (E-apt sensor) provides is a new approach for the detection of heavy metal ions. Nanomaterials are particularly important in the construction of E-apt sensors, as they can be used as aptamer carriers or sensitizers to stimulate or inhibit electrochemical signals, thus significantly improving the detection sensitivity. This review summarizes the application of different types of nanomaterials in E-apt sensors. The construction methods and research progress of the E-apt sensor based on different working principles are systematically introduced. Moreover, the advantages and challenges of the E-apt sensor in heavy metal ion detection are summarized.

Abstract
In this study, a one-step electrochemical aptasensor was developed to detect the biomarker vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), an important protein in the pathogenesis of many retinal diseases, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, and retinal vein occlusion. The aptamer has a good affinity and can rapidly identify and capture VEGF based on its unique structure. We designed a VEGF aptasensor based on the aptamer recognition and complex metallo nanoenzyme particles as an electron exchange center and bridge between capture DNA and electrode. The aptamers maintained the hairpin structure to avoid nonspecific surface adsorption and expose the capture sequence outwards when the target was inexistent. Conversely, the aptamers opened the hairpin structure to release space to accomplish binding between VEGF and DNA, resulting in increased impedance. The performance of the electrochemical aptasensor is detected by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The limit of detection by EIS was as low as 8.2 pg ml-1, and the linear range was 10 pg ml-1-1 μg ml-1. The electrochemical aptasensor also showed high specificity and reproducibility.

Abstract
The development of diagnostic devices based on memetic molecular recognitions are becoming highly promising due to high specificity, sensitivity, stability, and low-cost comparing to natural molecular recognition. During the last decade, molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) and aptamer have shown dramatic enhancement in the molecular recognition characteristics for bio(chemical) sensing applications. Recently, MIP-aptamer, as an emerging hybrid recognition element, merged the advantages of the both recognition components. This dual recognition-based sensor has shown improved properties and desirable features, such as high sensitivity, low limit of detection, high stability under harsh environmental conditions, high binding affinity, and superior selectivity. Hybrid MIP-aptamer as dual recognition element, was used in the real sample analysis, such as detection of proteins, neurotransmitters, environmental pollutants, biogenic compounds, small ions, explosives, virus detections and pharmaceuticals. This review focuses on a comprehensive overview of the preparation strategies of various MIP-aptamer recognition elements, mechanism of formation of MIP-aptamer, and detection of various target molecules in different matrices.

Abstract
Histamine intoxications result when histamine-metabolizing enzymes are compromised or overwhelmed by dietary histamine in the human body. This can occur either due to metabolic enzyme deficiencies, such as in histamine intolerance to wines, aged cheese and other foods or from high concentrations of histamine following ingestion of decomposed fish. The presence of histamine in decomposed fish and fish products results from bacterial decarboxylation of free L-histidine following product mishandling. Consequently, histamine intoxications from mishandled fish, commonly referred to as scombrotoxin fish poisoning (SFP) or scombroid poisoning, require high levels of free L-histidine only found in certain species of pelagic fish. Differential diagnosis is required of clinicians since dietary histamine intoxications produce the same symptoms typical of release of endogenous histamine due to IgE -mediated seafood allergies or anisakiasis. Although high levels of dietary histamine are responsible for SFP, histamine has important physiological functions and tends to exert toxic effects only at doses beyond the physiological range. Endogenous histamine is essential to local immune responses, regulation of gastric acid secretion in the gut, and neurotransmission in the central nervous system. Scombrotoxins, postulated to explain histamine's augmented toxicity in scombrotoxic fish, are a milieu of histamine and other bioactives. Since time-and-temperature abuse is required to produce high levels of histamine in fish, management consists of ensuring proper handling by identifying hazards and critical control points (HACCP) and maintaining a "cold chain" from catch to consumption. Reference methods for detecting histamine have received increased attention and the European Commission has validated a popular precolumn dansylation-based HPLC method through inter-laboratory collaboration and studied method equivalence with the AOAC fluorescence method 977.13 recognized by Codex Alimentarius. Much progress has been made during the last decade in the development and validation of rapid screening methods for detecting histamine in food and especially in fish products. These include many innovative sensors and several validated commercial test kits, many of them based on a recombinant form of the enzyme histamine dehydrogenase (HD).

Abstract
To ensure food quality and prevent histamine (HA) toxicity, a rapid and direct method of detecting HA is required. In this work, we prepared a monoclonal antibody (mAb) against HA using a hapten produced by the introduction of a phenyl-containing linker. The novel mAb exhibited high sensitivity against HA as determined by ELISA, with a half-maximal inhibitory concentration of 21.51 ng/mL. A gold nanoparticle-based immunosensor was fabricated for rapid detection of HA in fish samples. After optimizing the immunosensor, a visual limit of detection (LOD) and a calculated LOD were 0.25 mg/kg and 10.48 μg/kg for HA, respectively. Recovery rates from the spiked fish samples ranged from 87.33% to 104.67% with the coefficient of variation below 10.82%. Concurrently, the whole process in testing real sample was completed within 15 min, and all results were well confirmed and comparable by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and the commercial test strip. These data revealed that the proposed immunosensor could be used as a monitoring tool for the rapid and direct detection of HA in fish samples.

Abstract
An electrochemical aptamer sensor based on gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) was developed for highly specific sensing of melamine (MEL), which combines molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) and aptamers. AuNPs were synthesized by simple reduction of sodium citrate and characterized by transmission electron microscopy. The MIP membranes with particular recognition sites were formed by electropolymerization of dopamine (DA) with polythymine (poly T) aptamers as functional monomers and melamine as template molecules. Under optimal experimental conditions, this molecularly imprinted electrochemical aptamer sensor (MIEAS) exhibits a linear relationship between 10-12 M and 10-4 M for detecting MEL with the detection limit of 6.7 × 10-13 M. Moreover, this sensor displays excellent selectivity, reproducibility and stability. The milk samples analysis has confirmed the potential application of this MIEAS to quantitative detection of melamine.

Fabrication of acid-resistant imprinted layer on magnetic nanomaterials for selective extraction of chlorogenic acid in Honeysuckle. Anal Chim Acta 2021; 1161:338475. Abstract
The common elution process of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) is carried out in an acidic medium, which greatly affects the stability and reusability of synthetic MIPs, especially for magnetic MIPs. In this study, we fabricated an acid-resistant imprinted layer formed by phase-transitioned lysozyme on magnetic nanomaterials for selective extraction of chlorogenic acid in Honeysuckle, which often coexists with structural analogs. The newly designed acid-resistant imprinted layer can not only protect the internal magnetic core from denudation and dissolution, but also maintain the integrity of the imprinted layer during the elution process. The resultant magnetic MIPs exhibited good stability with no change on morphology after the repeatedly eluting process, and satisfactory reusability that can be used at least ten adsorption-desorption cycles with almost no decrease for adsorption capacity. In addition, the resultant materials possess satisfactory magnetism, uniform morphology with typical core-shell structure, stable crystallization, and good adsorption performance showing on high adsorption amount (10.82 mg g-1), fast kinetic equilibrium time (as short as 30 min), and satisfactory selectivity (IF = 2.85, SC > 1.5). At last, the obtained magnetic MIPs as adsorbents coupled with HPLC were successfully used to selective extract CGA in Honeysuckle samples with the high recoveries in the range of 92.0-104.4%, and the contents of CGA in Honeysuckle samples from the different origin are calculated in the range of 0.98%-1.24%.
