Abstract
The field of Radiology is continually changing, requiring corresponding evolution in both medical student and resident training to adequately prepare the next generation of radiologists. With advancements in adult education theory and a deeper understanding of perception in imaging interpretation, expert educators are reshaping the training landscape by introducing innovative teaching methods to align with increased workload demands and emerging technologies. These include the use of peer and interdisciplinary teaching, gamification, case repositories, flipped-classroom models, social media, and drawing and comics. This publication aims to investigate these novel approaches and offer persuasive evidence supporting their incorporation into the updated Radiology curriculum.

Abstract
RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES Burnout is a serious problem during medical residency and can contribute to poorer resident and patient health. A thorough understanding of factors associated with burnout can provide insight into supporting resident well-being. The purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence of burnout and ascertain its associated factors among radiology residents in the U.S. MATERIALS AND METHODS This cross-sectional study involved sending an anonymous survey to radiology program directors, coordinators, and residents across the U.S. Data regarding demographics, burnout levels, and burnout-associated factors were collected in the month of August 2023. Multivariable linear regression models evaluated the association of demographic and burnout-associated variables with burnout scores in the dimensions of Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, and Personal Accomplishment. Chi-square analyses with Bonferroni correction and Kruskal-Wallis analyses were used to assess associations between program types and burnout as well as between program type and program effectiveness in managing burnout. Resident suggestions on addressing burnout were qualitatively assessed. RESULTS 147 radiology residents responded to the survey. Emotional Exhaustion was positively associated with seeking social support (p = .03) and negatively associated with perceived program effectiveness in addressing burnout (p < .001). Respondents who identified as male experienced greater Depersonalization (p = .02). Increased frequency of physical activity was associated with higher Personal Accomplishment scores (p = .04). The most common resident suggestions related to Work Burden, Program Support, and Protected Wellness Time. CONCLUSION Radiology programs should consider designing interventions addressing burnout, such as enhancing avenues for feedback and tailoring resident training based on individual preferences for remote work. Understanding the unique challenges faced by radiology residents is essential to tackle burnout and improve wellness.

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges in radiology education. RadDiscord, a digital, open-access radiology educational platform now with over 4100 members internationally, emerged as a COVID-era innovation that has transformed radiology education, broken down institutional silos, and equalized access to high-quality education. This special report will discuss the origin of RadDiscord, overcoming early barriers, building an organization and community, innovation and impact, and the future of radiological education. This may offer helpful perspectives to trainees and educators who are interested in innovating in the realm of radiology education.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic caused major disruptions in radiology departments throughout North America. Radiology residency programs were forced to make dramatic changes to their training programs, which had major impacts on resident academics and wellness. The goal of this review is to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on radiology residents' academics and wellness in North America, while also identifying effective measures taken by programs to mitigate the effects of the pandemic. METHODS The search strategy involved database search via PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science with specific key words related to COVID-19, radiology residents, education, wellness, and virtual learning. Studies discussing the education and wellness of radiology residents in North America published after 2020 were included. The data were analyzed using a narrative synthesis approach. RESULTS The three main domains affected by the pandemic include the residency curriculum, research, and resident wellness. The decline in case volume and diversity of cases had negative overall impact on education of radiology residents, but simulated cases and virtual learning proved its value during the pandemic and may have lasting implications for the postpandemic world. Research initiatives transitioned to a remote format with greater emphasis on quality improvement and COVID-19-related studies. Reduced face-to-face interaction opportunities made it difficult to establish strong and meaningful interpersonal connections and had a negative impact on resident wellness, mentorship, and professional development. Implementing mentorship programs and virtual "town hall meetings" were effective measures to maintain connections during times of social distancing. Finally, the COVID-19 pandemic introduced unprecedented stressors and challenges for radiology residents that negatively impacted their mental health and wellness. Incorporating wellness initiatives such as wellness hours and team-building activities and using social media were helpful in promoting wellness and mental health for radiology residents. CONCLUSION The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the academics and wellness of radiology residents across North America but has taught us many lessons that can help us navigate the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, the postpandemic world, and future pandemics.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Professionalism is one of the ACGME core competencies for radiology residency training. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way resident education and training occurs. The primary objective of this study was to perform a comprehensive systematic review of the literature pertaining to adapting professionalism training in radiology residency to the post-COVID-19 era education landscape. METHODS We reviewed English-language medicine and health services literature for research that described professionalism training in radiology residency in the post-COVID-19 era radiology search terms and key words in PubMed/MEDLINE and Scopus/Elsevier. Relevant studies were identified with adherence to the guidelines set forth by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement. RESULTS The search yielded a total 33 articles. We reviewed the citations and abstracts with the initial search yielding 22 articles (without duplicates). Of these, 10 were excluded based on the criteria set forth in the methods. The remaining unique 12 articles were included for qualitative synthesis. DISCUSSION This article should provide radiology educators with the tool they need to effectively education and evaluate radiology residents on professionalism in the post-COVID-19 era.

It is helpful to be aware of the resources available in the breast imaging field. Specialty society membership provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. Connections and relationships can be made with other breast radiologists at differing career stages, presenting opportunities to develop mentor-mentee relationships with experienced members and peer-to-peer relationships with colleagues who may have similar professional experiences. The resources available through society membership can assist in career development and help navigate academic and private practice settings.

Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic had major effects on radiology training programs throughout the country. Many of the challenges were shared, with some variation depending on the size and geographic location of each program. While some initial modifications, such as platoon-type scheduling and redeployment, have been abandoned, other changes such as home workstations and the option of remote conferences have become more permanently incorporated. Remote learning tools and virtual teaching are much more frequently used, although there is emphasis by many programs on preserving in-person training. Programs stressed the importance of communication and adaptability, and getting resident and faculty input is key in optimizing the educational experience.

Abstract
To achieve necessary social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic, working from home was introduced at most if not all academic radiology departments. Although initially thought to be a temporary adaptation, the popularity of working from home among faculty has made it likely that it will remain a component of radiology departments for the long term. This paper will review the potential advantages and disadvantages of working from home for an academic radiology department and suggest strategies to try to preserve the advantages and minimize the disadvantages.
