Abstract
Photocatalytic peroxymonosulfate (PMS) oxidation systems demonstrate significant potential and promising prospects through the interconnection of photocatalytic and PMS oxidation for simultaneously achieving efficient pollutant removal and reduction of PMS dosage, which prevents resource wastage and secondary pollution. In this study, a Z-scheme Bi25FeO40/BiOCl (BOFC) heterojunction was constructed to carry out the photocatalytic PMS oxidation process for tetracyclines (TCs) pollutants at low PMS concentrations (0.08 mM). The photocatalytic PMS oxidation rate of Bi25FeO40/BiOCl composites for tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH), chlortetracycline (CTC), oxytetracycline (OTC) and doxycycline (DXC) reaches 86.6%, 83.6%, 86.7%, and 88.0% within 120 min. Simultaneously, the BOFC/PMS system under visible light (Vis) equally displayed the practical application prospects for the solo and mixed simulated TCs antibiotics wastewater. Based on the electron spin resonance (ESR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) valence band spectrum, a Z-scheme electron migration pathway was proposed to elucidate the mechanism underlying the performance enhancement of BOFC composites. Bi25FeO40 in BOFC composites can serve as active site for activating PMS by the formation of Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle. Toxicity estimation software tool (T.E.S.T.) and mung beans planting experiment demonstrates that BOFC/PMS/Vis system can reduce toxicity of TCs wastewater. Therefore, BOFC/PMS/Vis system achieves efficient examination in different water environments and efficient utilization of PMS, which displays a scientific reference for achieving environmentally-friendly and resource-saving handling processes.

Abstract
Water pollution caused by antibiotics is a growing problem and photodegradation by efficient catalysts is an environmentally friendly technology that can effectively degrade organic pollutants in water. Here, a novel method was innovatively used to synthesize niobium oxyfluoride (Nb3O7F) nanosheets decorated with Au nanoparticles, which is the first report for the composites of Au and Nb3O7F. We prepared the Nb3O7F nanosheets via hydrothermal synthesis followed by deposition of Au nanoparticles on their surface using HAuCl4. The prepared samples were characterized by XRD, HRTEM, XPS, and UV-Vis. The diameters of most Au NPs are ranging from 5 to 25 nm with an average size of about 16.9 nm, as well as the Nb3O7F nanosheets in size ranging from 200 nm to 700 nm. The chemical composition of the Au-Nb3O7F showed a Au/Nb atomic ratio of 1/10, as well as a Nb/O/F ratio of 3/7/1. UV-Vis spectrum reveals a largest absorption peak at 520 nm for the Au-Nb3O7F nanosheets. The prepared Au-Nb3O7F nanomaterials were applied to the visible-light photodegradation of tetracycline hydrochloride, with the photocatalytic degradation rate reached more than 50% under the optimal conditions within 1 h. Capture experiments indicated that h+ and •O2 - are the main active substances involved during the course of the photodegradation. Furthermore, the proposed mechanism for the photodegradation of the novel Au-Nb3O7F nanosheets was given.

Abstract
In recent years, the response of new porous materials to visible light and their potential applications in wastewater treatment has received extensive attention from the scientific community. Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) have been the focus of attention due to their strong visible light absorption, high specific surface area, well-regulated pore structures, and diverse topologies. In this study, a novel MOF@COF composite with a high surface area, high crystallinity, and structural stability was obtained using the covalent bond formation strategy from COF-JLU19 and NH2-MIL-88B(Fe). Under visible light irradiation, the degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride by this material reached more than 90% within 10 min and was completely degraded within 30 min, which exceeded the degradation rate of individual materials. Remarkably, the catalytic activity decreased by less than 5% even after five degradation cycles, indicating good structural stability. The excellent photocatalytic performance of the NM88(DB)@COF-JLU19 hybrids was attributed to the formation of covalent bonds, which formed a non-homogeneous interface that facilitated effective charge separation and promoted the generation of hydroxyl radicals.

Abstract
A novel ZnO/BiOCOOH microsphere photocatalyst with a type-Ⅱ mechanism was developed for the first time. This strategy was accomplished by immobilizing ZnO onto 3D BiOCOOH microspheres via a single-step hydrothermal synthesis method. The ability to degrade tetracycline (TC) in water under visible light and inactivate bacteria of as-catalyst were analyzed. Among the prepared samples, the ZnO/BiOCOOH composite, with a mass ratio of 40%(Zn/Bi), exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity, which was able to degrade 98.22% of TC in just 90 min and completely eradicated Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) in 48 h, and had potential application in solving water resource environmental pollution. The photoelectric characteristics of the photocatalysts were examined by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The findings indicated that the superior photocatalytic performance could be credited to the dissociation of electrons (e-) and holes (h+) in heterojunction composites. Finally, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and capture experiments were conducted to confirm the photocatalytic mechanism of the type-Ⅱ heterojunction. This work provides a new Bi-base photocatalyst for aqueous environmental control.

Abstract
Following the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, tocilizumab has emerged as a potentially efficacious therapeutic intervention. The utilization of O3-Heterogeneous photocatalytic process (O3-HPCP) as a hybrid advanced oxidation technique has been employed for the degradation of pollutants. The present study employed a solvothermal technique for the synthesis of the BiOI-MOF composite. The utilization of FTIR, FESEM, EDAX, XRD, UV-vis, BET, TEM, and XPS analysis was employed to confirm the exceptional quality of the catalyst. the study employed an experimental design, subsequently followed by the analysis of collected data in order to forecast the most favorable conditions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of several factors, including reaction time (30-60 min), catalyst dose (0.25-0.5 mg/L), pH levels (4-8), ozone concentration (20-40 mMol/L), and tocilizumab concentration (10-20 mg/L), on the performance of O3-HPCP. The best model was discovered by evaluating the F-value and P-value coefficients, which were found to be 0.0001 and 347.93, respectively. In the given experimental conditions, which include a catalyst dose of 0.46 mg/L, a reaction time of 59 min, a pH of 7.0, and an ozone concentration of 32 mMol/L, the removal efficiencies were found to be 92% for tocilizumab, 79.8% for COD, and 59% for TOC. The obtained R2 value of 0.98 suggests a strong correlation between the observed data and the predicted values, indicating that the reaction rate followed first-order kinetics. The coefficient of synergy for the degradation of tocilizumab was shown to be 1.22. The catalyst exhibited satisfactory outcomes, but with a marginal reduction in efficacy of approximately 3%. The sulfate ion (SO42-) exhibited no influence on process efficiency, whereas the nitrate ion (NO3-) exerted the most significant impact among the anions. The progress of the process was impeded by organic scavengers, with methanol exhibiting the most pronounced influence and sodium azide exerting the least significant impact. The efficacy of pure BiOI and NH2-MIL125 (Ti) was diminished when employed in their pure form state. The energy consumption per unit of degradation, denoted as EEO, was determined to be 161.8 KWh/m3-order.

Abstract
In this study, a new Z-scheme MgFe2O4/Bi2WO6 heterojunction was successfully prepared by hydrothermal and wet ball milling process. The results of the study showed that after 90 min of visible light exposure, the photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) by 25%-MgFe2O4/Bi2WO6 heterojunction was as high as 95.82%, and the highest photocatalytic rate (0.0281 min-1) was 4.61 and 3.43 times higher than that of pure Bi2WO6 (0.0061 min-1) and MgFe2O4 (0.0082 min-1), respectively. Furthermore, spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to provide additional evidence of the presence of a Z-scheme charge transfer mechanism between MgFe2O4 and Bi2WO6. We investigated the effects of initial TCH concentration, pH, coexisting ions and different water sources on the efficiency of photocatalytic degradation of TCH in composite samples. The recovery experiments demonstrated that the MgFe2O4/Bi2WO6 composites had good stability and repeatability. A series of experimental results showed that 25%-MgFe2O4/Bi2WO6 had a larger specific surface area, better ultraviolet and visible absorbance, superior charge transfer and higher efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pair separation. This paper provides new ideas for the design and preparation of new Z-scheme heterojunctions and has great prospects for practical applications in the field of wastewater treatment.

Abstract
In this research, we synthesized BiOI/NH2-MIL125(Ti) via solvo-thermal method to investigation of oxytetracycline (OTC) degradation in photocatalytic-ozonation process. The results of the XRD, FESEM, EDAX, FTIR, UV-Vis, TEM, XPS, and BET analyzes indicated that the catalyst BiOI/MOF was synthesized with excellent quality. Design of experiment (DOE), ANOVA statistical analysis, interaction of parameters and predicated optimum condition was done based on CCD. The effect of catalyst dose (0.25-0.5 mg/l), pH (4-8), reaction time (30-60 min) and O3 concentration (20-40 mN) at 10 mg/l of OTC on PCO/O3 process was optimized. Based on P-value and F-value coefficients (0.0001, 450.3 respectively) the model of OTC (F-value = 2451.04) and (P-value = 0.0001) coefficients, the model of COD removal was quadratic model. Under optimum condition pH 8.0, CD = 0.34 mg/l, RT = 56 min and O3 concentration = 28.7 mN, 96.2 and 77.2% of OTC and COD removed, respectively. The reduction of TOC was 64.2% in optimal conditions, which is less than the reduction of COD and OTC. The kinetics of reaction followed pseudo-first-order kinetic (R2 = 0.99). Synergistic effect coefficient was 1.31 that indicated ozonation, presence of catalyst and photolysis had a synergistic effect on OTC removal. The stability and reusability of the catalyst in six consecutive operating steps was acceptable and 7% efficiency decreased only. Cations (Mg2+, and Ca2+), SO42- had no influence on performing the process, but other anions, organic scavengers, and nitrogen gas, had an inhibitory effect. Finally, the OTC degradation probably pathway includes direct and indirect oxidation that decarboxylation, hydroxylation, demethylation and were the main mechanism in OTC degradation.

Abstract
The development of an all-organic Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst with the matched band structure, efficient electron transfer and excellent photocatalytic performance is valuable for a sustainable future. A novel perylene diimide/phthalocyanine iron (PDI/FePc) heterojunctions with strong π-π interaction were synthesized by a self-assembled method, which exhibited strong visible-light-driven photocatalytic degradation activities of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC). The TC removal rate over PDI/FePc was achieved three times and 87.5 times higher than that of PDI and FePc. PDI/FePc (131.1 mv·dec-1) presented a lower Taffel slope than that of PDI (228.6 mv·dec-1) for the oxidation. This may be due to the strong π-π interactions between PDI and FePc, which can reduce the layer spacing of the supramolecular structure and facilitate the separation and transfer of photogenerated carriers in the built-in electric field. In addition, radical quenching tests revealed that superoxide radicals (•O2-) acted as a dominant role in photocatalytic oxidation. An increscent specific surface area of PDI decorated by FePc also gave the rapid pathway for charge transfer and enhanced the adsorption ability. This provides a new idea for the formation of heterojunction to improve the photocatalytic activity of organic supramolecular materials.

Abstract
Intimately coupled photocatalysis and biodegradation (ICPB) is a promising technology to remove refractory contaminants from water. The key to successful ICPB is a carrier capable of accumulating biofilm and adhering photocatalyst firmly. Herein, BC/g-C3N4 was prepared into a three dimensional porous hydrogel and used as a carrier in ICPB system for the first time. Degradation experiments revealed that the removal rate of tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) in water by the ICPB system was 96.0% after 10 h, which was significantly higher than that by the photocatalysis (PC, 76.3%), biodegradation (B, 32.5%), adsorption (AD, 17.2%), and photolysis (P, 5.0%) systems. Photo-electrochemical tests confirmed that ICPB system had superior electron transfer ability between photocatalysts and microorganisms. The removal efficiency of COD proved that microorganisms played an important role in the mineralization process of TCH by the ICPB system. After the ICPB degradation experiment, microorganisms maintained high activity and Pseudomonas, Burkholderiaceae and Flavobacterium which had TCH degradation or electron transport ability, were enriched. In conclusion, the novel ICPB carrier overcame shortcomings of the traditional ICPB carrier and the novel ICPB system had superior degradation performance for TCH. This study provided a possible method to promote the practical application of ICPB technology.

Abstract
In this paper, the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of typical antibiotics (norfloxacin (NOR), sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH)) by Ag/CNQDs/g-C3N4 under visible light irradiation was studied. Various strategies were applied to characterize the morphology, structure and photochemical properties of the Ag/CNQDs/g-C3N4 composites. The superior photocatalytic activity of Ag/CNQDs/g-C3N4 was attributed to the wide light response range and the enhancement of interfacial charge transfer. At the same time, the effect of the influence factors (pH, Humic acid (HA) and coexisting ions) on the antibiotics degradation were also investigated. Furthermore, the electron spin resonance (ESR) technology, free radical quenching experiments, LC/MS and DFT theoretical calculations were applied to predict and identify the active groups and intermediates during the photocatalytic degradation process. In addition, Ag/CNQDs/g-C3N4 exhibited the obvious antibacterial effect to Escherichia coli due to the addition of Ag NPs. This study develops a new way for the removal of emerging antibiotic pollution from wastewaters.

Abstract
The continuous discharge of antibiotics into the environment poses a serious threat to the ecological environment and human health. In this study, photocatalysis and microalgae were combined to study the removal of tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) and its photodegradation intermediates in water. The results showed that after photocatalytic treatment, the removal rate of TCH reached 80%, but the mineralization rate was only 17.7%. While Chlorella sp. alone had poor tolerance to high concentrations of TCH, the combined treatment of photocatalysis and microalgae completely removed TCH and increased the mineralization efficiency to 35.0%. Increased cell density was observed, indicating that TCH and the intermediates produced in the photocatalysis process could be utilized by algae for growth. Meanwhile, TCH degradation pathways were proposed based on Liquid Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer analysis, and the toxicity of intermediates detected was predicted using ECOSAR software, which showed that the type and quantity of highly toxic intermediates decreased significantly after subsequent algal treatment. The results demonstrate that photocatalysis and microalgae combined treatment is an efficient and eco-friendly method for the removal of antibiotics in water.

Abstract
Existence of pharmaceutical residues in water has endangered environmental pollution worldwide, which makes it ineludible to develop prospective bifunctional materials which not only possess excellent fluorescence behaviour to monitor pharmaceuticals but also exhibit simultaneous photocatalytic removal efficiency. Strengthened by functionalized metal organic framework (MOF) materials, we present here an amine functionalized zirconium-based MOF NH2-UiO-66 which has been successfully synthesized using solvothermal approach. The as prepared MOF was subjected to numerous structural, morphological and compositional characterizations. Interestingly, featured by the excellent fluorescent intensity of MOF modulated by LMCT effect, NH2-UiO-66 was screened to detect pharmaceutical compounds with KTC and TC in aqueous solution. The prepared functionalized MOF showcased excellent sensing platform with magnificent response range (0‒3 µM), lower limit of detection (160 nM; KTC and 140 nM; TC), excellent selectivity and influential anti-interference capability. More importantly, the practical utility of the proposed sensor was further explored for the determination of pharmaceutical drugs in real water samples with suitable recoveries. Simultaneously, the synthesized MOF also exhibited high photocatalytic efficiency towards the removal of KTC and TC under solar light irradiation. The degradation efficiency for KTC and TC was found to be 68.3% and 71.8% within 60 and 280 min of solar light, respectively. Moreover, excellent recyclability was demonstrated by the current synthesized system over five cycles. Overall, this study presents a feasible route for the utilization of functionalized MOFs as potential dual functional materials towards the simultaneous detection and degradation of specific pharmaceuticals from aqueous medium.

Abstract
The high efficiency and low consumption green wastewater treatment technology has important practical significance for the recycling of printing and dyeing wastewater. The efficiency of visible light catalytic degradation of organics is greatly affected by the performance of the catalyst and the photo reactor. Therefore, Bi2WO6/TiO2/Fe3O4 (mBT) visible light photocatalyst was accurately prepared by the ammonia iron double drop method. In order to improve the photodegradation efficiency, a tubular magnetic field-controlled photocatalytic reactor (MPR) was developed. The novel mBT-MPR visible light photocatalytic system was proposed to treat RhB simulated wastewater. The experimental results showed that when the dosage of mBT catalyst was 1 g/L and visible light was irradiated for 60 min, the average removal rate of rhodamine B (RhB) with initial an concentration of 10 mg/L in the simulated wastewater for four times was 91.7%. The mBT-MPR visible light photocatalysis system is a green and efficient treatment technology for organic pollutants in water with simple operation, low energy consumption, and no need for catalyst separation.

Abstract
Tetracyclines are one class of widely used antibiotics. Meanwhile, due to abuse and improper disposal, they are often detected in wastewater, which causes a series of environmental problems and poses a threat to human health and safety. As an efficient and environmentally friendly method, enzymatic catalysis has attracted much attention. In previous studies, we have designed an efficient peroxidase (F43Y/P88W/F138W Mb, termed YWW Mb) based on the protein scaffold of myoglobin (Mb), an O2 carrier, by modifying the heme active center and introducing two Trp residues. In this study, we further applied it to degrade the tetracycline antibiotics. Both UV-Vis and HPLC studies showed that the triple mutant YWW Mb was able to catalyze the degradation of tetracycline, oxytetracycline, doxycycline, and chlortetracycline effectively, with a degradation rate of ~100%, ~98%, ~94%, and ~90%, respectively, within 5 min by using H2O2 as an oxidant. These activities are much higher than those of wild-type Mb and other heme enzymes such as manganese peroxidase. As further analyzed by UPLC-ESI-MS, we identified multiple degradation products and thus proposed possible degradation mechanisms. In addition, the toxicity of the products was analyzed by using in vitro antibacterial experiments of E. coli. Therefore, this study indicates that the engineered heme enzyme has potential applications for environmental remediation by degradation of tetracycline antibiotics.

Abstract
In this paper, the hydrangea-shaped Bi2WO6/ZIF-8 (BWOZ) visible light photocatalysts have been prepared via a facile synthetic strategy for the first time. The constructed BWOZ composites were systematically studied by a series of characterization techniques. The SEM results manifested the octahedral ZIF-8 coated the flower-like Bi2WO6 uniformly and the composition of BWOZ composites had been confirmed by XPS measurement. And the photocatalytic activity was evaluated by eliminating methylene blue with the help of visible light. The results showed that 7%-BWOZ (7.0 wt% Bi2WO6) exhibited better photodegradation capability than pure Bi2WO6 and ZIF-8. Compared with Bi2WO6, the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue by 7%-BWOZ could reach 85.7%. In addition, the pseudo-first-order kinetic constant of 7%-BWOZ was 23.00 and 1.61 times that of pristine Bi2WO6 and ZIF-8, respectively. The improved photocatalytic ability of BWOZ systems may be due to the construction of heterojunctions between Bi2WO6 and ZIF-8, which resulted in the rapid separation of photogenerated carriers. Additionally, the specific surface area of the formed BWOZ system was also improved in comparison with the flower-shaped Bi2WO6, and thus more active sites could be provided to contact with methylene blue molecules, thereby achieving better removal capacity. Moreover, trapping experiments and electron spin resonance results further illustrated that the coexistence of multiple free radicals realized efficient degradation of methylene blue. More importantly, the photocatalytic property of the 7%-BWOZ composite remained even after three cycles. Furthermore, a feasible photodegradation mechanism was also explored in depth.

Abstract
Undoubtedly, taking full advantage of near-infrared light (NIR) for the photocatalytic reaction is a promising way to realize the efficient utilization of solar energy. In this work, zirconium carbide (ZrC) has been exploited as a NIR-driven photoactive substance for the simultaneous photodegradation of organic pollutants and photothermal sterilization of Escherichia coli (E. coli). The metallic nature and NIR-responsive localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) behaviors of ZrC are revealed by both experimental evidence and density function theory (DFT) calculations. ZrC exhibits extremely wide spectral absorbance, excellent NIR-triggered photosensitive effect and photothermal conversion efficiency. Activation kinetics was performed with DFT to investigate the activation process of O2 to •O2-. In addition, a possible NIR-mediated photocatalytic mechanism of ZrC was proposed on the basis of above DFT simulation and radical scavenging experiments. Metallic ZrC with NIR-responsive activity provides a new perspective for designing full-spectrum-driven photocatalysts.

Abstract
S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts with strong redox ability and excellent photocatalytic activity are highly desired for photocatalytic degradation of pollutants. Herein, S-scheme Bi2WO6/CoIn2S4 heterojunctions were synthesized using hydrothermal method. The photo-induced carriers transfer mechanism of the S-scheme Bi2WO6/CoIn2S4 heterojunction was clarified by band structure analysis, ultraviolet photoelectron spectrometer (UPS), electron spin resonance (ESR) and radical trapping experiments. Significant enhance of light absortion, and more efficient carriers separation were observed from the Bi2WO6/CoIn2S4 with CoIn2S4 nanoclusters growing on the surface of petal-like Bi2WO6 nanosheets. TC degradation efficiency of 90% was achieved by Bi2WO6/CoIn2S4 (15:1) within 3 h of irradiation, and ·O2-and ·OH radicals were dominated contributors. Possible decomposition pathways of TC were proposed, and ECOSAR analysis showed that most of the intermediates exhibited lower ecotoxicity than TC. This work provides reference on the constructing ternary-metal-sulfides-based S-scheme heterojunctions for improving photocatalytic performance.

Abstract
This review discusses the fundamental principles and mechanism of antibiotic removal from water of some commonly applied treatment techniques including chlorination, ozonation, UV-irradiation, Fenton processes, photocatalysis, electrochemical-oxidation, plasma, biochar, anaerobicdigestion, activated carbon and nanomaterials. Some experimental shortfalls identified by researchers such as certain characteristics of degradation agent applied and the strategies explored to override the identified limitations are briefly discussed. Depending on interactions of a range of factors including the type of antibiotic compound, operational parameters applied such as pH, temperature and treatment time, among other factors, all reviewed techniques can eliminate or reduce the levels of antibiotic compounds in water to varying extents. Some of the reviewed techniques such as anaerobic digestion generally require longer treatment times (up to 360, 193 and 170 days, according to some studies), while others such as photocatalysis achieved degradation within short contact time (within a minimum of 30, but up to 60, 240, 300 and 1880 minutes, in some cases). For some treatment techniques such as ozonation and Fenton, it is apparent that subjecting compounds to longer treatment times may improve elimination efficiency, whereas for some other techniques such as nanotechnology, application of longer treatment time generally meant comparatively minimal elimination efficiency. Based on the findings of experimental studies summarized, it is apparent that operational parameters such as pH and treatment time, while critical, do not exert sole or primary influence on the elimination percentage(s) achieved. Elimination efficiency achieved rather seems to be due more to the force of a combination of several factors.

Abstract
The design and development of advanced photocatalysts for water purification have attracted much attention from researchers in recent years. In this context, the two-dimensional (2D) semiconducting materials have shown excellent photocatalytic properties due to their merits of high surface area, confined longitudinal dimensions and excellent capability of efficient separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers. Herein, we report a novel 2D-2D-2D ternary photocatalyst ZnO-Bi2WO6-Ti3C2 by using a two-step electrostatic assembly route. The formation of the individual materials and nanocomposites was confirmed by x-ray diffraction and 2D morphology was ascertained by electron microscopy studies. The as-prepared photocatalysts were utilized for the degradation of a colorless pharmaceutical pollutant, ciprofloxacin (CFX) under natural sunlight irradiation. It was found that the optimized ternary photocatalyst showed a maximum degradation (∼77%) of CFX in 160 min. The mechanistic investigation showed that upon nanocomposite formation, the electrons flow from ZnO and Bi2WO6 to Ti3C2, implying that MXene plays an important role in the separation of photogenerated charges and thereby enhancing the photocatalytic activity. This work paves the way for the design and development of efficient photocatalysts for environmental remediation.

Abstract
Aiming to bring photocatalytic and electrocatalytic oxidation processes into solving practical issue of organics and ammonia-nitrogen pollution in landscape water that resulting in algae bloom and eutrophication, this work firstly investigates photocatalytic oxidation of humic acid and electrochemical oxidation of ammonia upon optimization of each process parameters, respectively. The platinum modified titania (Pt/TiO2) exhibits improved activity than pure titania and CuOx, MnOx and NiOx modified titania for decomposition of humic acid. As an application-oriented study, this work has developed a simple and effective brushing and annealing method for immobilization of TiO2 and Pt/TiO2 onto ceramic foam for further application. In addition, the RuO2-IrO2/Ti electrode presents the best electrocatalytic activity compared with RuO2/Ti and IrO2/Ti electrodes in terms of ammonia oxidation, and the ammonia conversion pathways have been studied. Lastly, an integrated and enlarged reactor system employing optimized photocatalytic ceramic foam and stable electrodes has been developed for simultaneous oxidation of humic acid and ammonia-nitrogen in water circulated flow condition, based on cooperative production of reactive oxidant species between photocatalysis and electrocatalysis. The results show that coupled photocatalytic and electrocatalytic oxidation is a promising approach for treatment of organic matter and inorganic ammonia nitrogen in landscape water.

Abstract
The excellent photo-response of ZnFe2O4 in the visible light region makes it a promising catalyst, whereas some defects like serious particle agglomeration and easy recombination of photo-generated electron-hole pairs hinder its application. In this work, the ZnFe2O4/sepiolite (ZF-Sep) composites were synthesized using a co-precipitation method. The obtained ZF-Sep composites were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XPS, BET, VSM and DRS. Moreover, the photocatalytic performance was evaluated by the tetracycline hydrochloride removal efficiency under simulated visible light illumination. The results displayed that the ZnFe2O4 with average sizes about 20 nm were highly dispersed on sepiolite nanofibers. All the composites exhibited better photocatalytic performance than pure ZnFe2O4 due to the synergistic effect of the improvement on the agglomeration phenomenon of ZnFe2O4 and the reduction on the recombination rate of photo-generated electrons and holes. The optimum removal efficiency was that of the ZF-Sep-11 composite, which reached 93.6% within 3 h. Besides, the composite exhibited an excellent stability and reusability. Therefore, ZF-Sep composite is a promising catalyst for the treatment of wastewater contained antibiotics.
