Abstract
Little information is known about the increased aroma compounds and possible mechanism in Tamarix ramosissima Ledeb roasted mutton (TRM). A comprehensive analysis of aroma compounds and lipids were firstly performed by lipidomics and sensomics approach. The results indicated that 9 out of 53 aroma compounds were considered as key odorants, including 5-methyl-2,3-diethylpyrazine. The roasted mutton contained highest levels of phosphatidylcholine (PC, 13.95%), triglyceride (TG, 13.50%), and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE, 12.25%). TG 18:0_18:0_18:1 and nine odorants were the potential biomarkers for discriminating differential samples due to variable importance in projection (VIP) > 1 and p < 0.05. PCs and TGs, including PC 21:0_13:1 and TG 16:0_18:1_18:1, might be predominantly responsible for the formation and retention of aroma compounds, respectively. This will clarify the enhanced effect of Tamarix ramosissima Ledeb on the presence of aroma compounds via lipid pathways in roasted mutton.

Abstract
The Mediterranean Diet (MedDiet) is a widely recognized dietary pattern, with its effects largely attributed to "functional foods" which are able to positively influence one or more target functions, improving health and maintaining a state of well-being.In this review, three "case-study" typical of the MedDiet, such as artichokes, capers and table olives are considered as traditional functional vegetables rich in bioactive compounds, mainly polyphenols. The review extensively discusses the antioxidant effects of these molecules, as well as their role in aging prevention and reduction, maintaining human health, and influencing the abundance and composition of intestinal microbiota. Additionally, this review focuses on the fate of the dietary polyphenols along the digestive tract.Among biotechnological strategies, the review explores the role of fermentation process in modifying the biochemical profile, recovery, bioaccessibility and bioavailability of bioactive compounds present in some vegetable foods of MedDiet. Finally, the main challenges in the selection, addition, and maintenance of probiotic strains in traditional food products are also summarized, with a view to develop new probiotic carriers for "functional diets".

Abstract
Plant growth regulators (PGRs) are increasingly used to promote sustainable agriculture, but their unregulated use raises concerns about potential environmental risks. Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), a commonly used PGR, has been the subject of research on its developmental toxicity in the in-vivo zebrafish model. IAA exposure to zebrafish embryos caused oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and cellular apoptosis. The study also revealed that critical antioxidant genes including sod, cat, and bcl2 were downregulated, while pro-apoptotic genes such as bax and p53 were upregulated. IAA exposure also hampered normal cardiogenesis by downregulating myl7, amhc, and vmhc genes and potentially influencing zebrafish neurobehavior. The accumulation of IAA was confirmed by HPLC analysis of IAA-exposed zebrafish tissues. These findings underscore the need for further study on the potential ecological consequences of IAA use and the need for sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract
In our previous study, a new fermented food (PWF) created by utilizing pineapple by-products and whey proteins as a matrix via co-fermentation with lactic acid bacteria and yeast was developed, and, in the current study, we examined the impact of a pineapple-whey protein fermentation product on a cefixime-induced dysbiosis model in mice using 16S sequencing and untargeted metabolomics techniques. The results indicated that the pineapple-whey protein fermentation product played a positive role in restoring the intestinal flora. In this study, cefixime reduced the overall abundance of intestinal flora and decreased the relative abundance of probiotics in the gut, while also inhibiting amino acid metabolism. The addition of PWF normalized the intestinal flora to a steady state, significantly increasing the populations of Weissella, Lactococcus, Faecalibaculum, and Bacteroides acidophilus, while decreasing the numbers of Akkermansia and Escherichia-Shigella. Additionally, PWF modulated microbial metabolites, such as L-glutamate and L-threonine, and upregulated amino-acid-related metabolic pathways, including those involving glycine, serine, and threonine. In conclusion, PWF can alleviate intestinal flora dysbiosis and metabolic disturbances induced by antibiotic interventions. It is suggested that PWF could be a potential dietary strategy for patients with antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

Abstract
Acute mountain sickness (AMS) is a common ailment in high-altitude areas caused by the body's inadequate adaptation to low-pressure, low-oxygen environments, leading to organ edema, oxidative stress, and impaired intestinal barrier function. The gastrointestinal tract, being the first to be affected by ischemia and hypoxia, is highly susceptible to injury. This study investigates the role of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus in alleviating acute hypoxic-induced intestinal and tissue damage from the perspective of daily consumed lactic acid bacteria. An acute hypoxia mouse model was established to evaluate tissue injury, oxidative stress, inflammatory responses, and intestinal barrier function in various groups of mice. The results indicate that strain 4L3 significantly mitigated brain and lung edema caused by hypoxia, improved colonic tissue damage, and effectively increased the content of tight junction proteins in the ileum, reducing ileal permeability and alleviating mechanical barrier damage in the intestines due to acute hypoxia. Additionally, 4L3 helped to rebalance the intestinal microbiota. In summary, this study found that Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus strain 4L3 could alleviate acute intestinal damage caused by hypoxia, thereby reducing hypoxic stress. This suggests that probiotic lactic acid bacteria that exert beneficial effects in the intestines may alleviate acute injury under hypoxic conditions in mice, offering new insights for the prevention and treatment of AMS.

Abstract
Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have been recognized as safe microorganism that improve micro-flora disturbances and enhance immune response. A well-know traditional herbal medicine, Acanthopanax senticosus (As) was extensively utilized in aquaculture to improve growth performance and disease resistance. Particularly, the septicemia, skin wound and gastroenteritis caused by Aeromonas hydrophila threaten the health of aquatic animals and human. However, the effects of probiotic fermented with A. senticosus product on the immune regulation and pathogen prevention in fish remain unclear. Here, the aim of the present study was to elucidate whether the A. senticosus fermentation by Lactobacillus rhamnosus improve immune barrier function. The crucian carp were fed with basal diet supplemented with L. rhamnosus fermented A. senticosus cultures at 2 %, 4 %, 6 % and 8 % bacterial inoculum for 8 weeks. After trials, the weight gain rate (WGR), specific growth rate (SGR) were significantly increased, especially in LGG-6 group. The results confirmed that the level of the CAT, GSH-PX, SOD, lysozyme, and MDA was enhanced in fish received with probiotic fermented product. Moreover, the L. rhamnosus fermented A. senticosus cultures could trigger innate and adaptive immunity, including the up-regulation of the C3, C4, and IgM concentration. The results of qRT-PCR revealed that stronger mRNA transcription of IL-1β, IL-10, IFN-γ, TNF-α, and MyD88 genes in the liver, spleen, kidney, intestine and gills tissues of fish treated with probiotic fermented with A. senticosus product. After infected with A. hydrophila, the survival rate of the LGG-2 (40 %), LGG-4 (50 %), LGG-6 (60 %), LGG-8 (50 %) groups was higher than the control group. Meanwhile, the pathological damage of the liver, spleen, head-kidney, and intestine tissues of probiotic fermentation-fed fish could be alleviated after pathogen infection. Therefore, the present work indicated that L. rhamnosus fermented A. senticosus could be regard as a potential intestine-target therapy strategy to protecting fish from pathogenic bacteria infection.

Abstract
Given the limited efficacy and adverse effects associated with conventional drugs, probiotics are emerging as a promising therapeutic strategy for mitigating the chronic nature of ulcerative colitis (UC) and its consequential secondary liver injury (SLI). Limosilactobacillus fermentum HF06 and Lactiplatibacillus plantarum HF05 are strains we screened with excellent anti-inflammatory and probiotic properties in vitro. In this study, the intervention of HF06 and HF05 in combination (MIXL) was found to be more effective in alleviating intestinal inflammation and secondary liver injury in UC mice compared to supplementing with the two strains individually. Results demonstrated that MIXL effectively attenuated colon shortening and weight loss, downregulated the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 mRNA in the intestines, mitigated SLI, and augmented the enzymatic activities of SOD, CAT, and GSH-Px in the liver. MIXL enhances the intestinal barrier in UC mice, regulates the structure and composition of the gut microbiota, promotes the abundance of Lactobacillus, and suppresses the abundance of bacteria associated with inflammation and liver injury, including Clostridium_Sensu_Stricto_1, Escherichia, Shigella, Enterococcus, Corynebacterium, Desulfovibrio, and norank_f__Oscillospiraceae. This study demonstrated the synergistic effect of HF06 and HF05, providing a reliable foundation for the alleviation of UC.

Abstract
High altitude is closely related to intestinal mucosal damage and intestinal microbiota imbalance, and there is currently no effective prevention and treatment measures. In this study, the effects of stachyose (STA), L. rhamnosus GG (LGG) and their combination on inflammatory response, oxidatve stress and intestinal barrier function in mice exposed to acute hypobaric hypoxia were investigated. Our results indicated the combination of STA and LGG could more effectively regulate intestinal microbiota disorders caused by hypobaric hypoxia than STA or LGG alone. When mice were administered with STA + LGG, the content of short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) especially butyric acid significantly increased, which helped intestinal cells to form tight connections, improve the level of anti-inflammatory cytokine (TGF-β) and antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, GSH-Px), and decrease the expression of pro-inlammatory cytokines and hypoxia-inducing factors (IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α and HIF-1α), thereby enhance the strong intestinal barrier function. Furthermore, the synbiotics significantly reduced the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes, while significantly increased the relative abundance of Rikenella, Bacteroides, Odoribacter, Ruminiclostridium_5 and Gordonibacter, which were correlated with production of SCFAs and anti-inflammatory role. Correlation analysis showed that the protective effect of synbiotics on intestinal barrier function was associated with its anti-inflammatory activity and antioxidant capacity. It provided a strong foundation for further research on the role of STA and LGG in maintaining normal intestinal function at high altitude. Our study has identified and demonstrated a new synbiotic that may be one of the ideal intervention measures for preventing and treating intestinal dysfunction at high altitude.

Abstract
The emergence of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a multi-drug-resistant bacteria, is becoming a serious public health concern. This bacterium infects immunocompromised patients and has a high fatality rate. Both naturally and synthetically produced chalcones are known to have a wide array of biological activities. The antibacterial properties of synthetically produced chalcone were studied against P. aeruginosa. In vitro, study of the compound (chalcone derivative named DKO1), also known as (2E)-1-(5-methylfuran-2-yl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl) prop-2-en-1-one, had substantial antibacterial and biofilm disruptive action. DKO1 effectively shielded against P. aeruginosa-induced inflammation, oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and apoptosis in zebrafish larvae. In adult zebrafish, the treatment enhanced the chances of survivability and reduced the sickness-like behaviors. Gene expression, biochemical analysis, and histopathology studies found that proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, iNOS) were down regulated; antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) levels increased, and histoarchitecture was restored in zebrafish. The data indicate that DKO1 is an effective antibacterial agent against P. aeruginosa demonstrated both in vitro and in vivo.

Abstract
Listeria monocytogenes is one of the most lethal foodborne pathogens, and there is a lack of microorganisms that can strongly inhibit its growth. Safe lactic acid bacteria with probiotic and antibacterial properties are ideal sources of antagonistic bacteria. This study isolated a strain of Lactobacillus plantarum 4-10 that completely killed L. monocytogenes from northeastern Chinese sauerkraut. Probiotic characterization revealed broad-spectrum bacterial inhibition, antagonizing 16 Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and fungal species. After tolerance to simulated intestinal and gastric fluids, the survival rate was >45 %. L. plantarum 4-10 was sensitive to chloramphenicol, doxycycline, erythromycin, and tetracycline, and exhibited good hydrophobicity, auto-aggregation, and co-aggregation. It could disrupt the cell structure when co-cultured with L. monocytogenes and act as a lethal agent within 15 h. Through transcriptomic analysis and validation experiments, we found that L. plantarum 4-10 could inhibit the expression of L. monocytogenes membrane transport-related genes by producing bacteriocins, thus disrupting the cell membrane structure and inhibiting the growth, metabolic viability, and biofilm formation of L. monocytogenes in a short time. In conclusion, L. plantarum 4-10 has good probiotic properties and antibacterial effects and shows excellent research and application prospects as a natural bacteriostat.

Abstract
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a group of persistent intestinal illnesses resulting from bowel inflammation unrelated to infection. The prevalence of IBD is rising in industrialized countries, increasing healthcare costs. Whether naturally occurring or synthetic, chalcones possess a broad range of biological properties, including anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and antioxidant effects. This investigation focuses on DKO7 (E)-3-(4-(dimethylamino)phenyl)-1-(5-methylfuran-2-yl)prop-2-en-1-one, a synthesized chalcone with potential anti-inflammatory effects in a zebrafish model of intestinal inflammation induced by Dextran sodium sulfate (DSS). The in vitro study displayed dose-dependent anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidant properties of DKO7. Additionally, DKO7 protected zebrafish larvae against lipid peroxidation, reactive oxygen stress (ROS), and DSS-induced inflammation. Moreover, DKO7 reduced the expression of pro-inflammatory genes, including TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and iNOS. Further, it reduced the levels of nitric oxide (NO) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the intestinal tissues of adult zebrafish and increased the levels of antioxidant enzymes such as Catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). The protective effect of DKO7 against chemically (or DSS) induced intestinal inflammation was further verified using histopathological techniques in intestinal tissues. The furan-based chalcone derivative, DKO7, displayed antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Also, DKO7 successfully reverses the DSS-induced intestinal damage in zebrafish. Overall, this study indicates the ability of DKO7 to alleviate DSS-induced gut inflammation in an in-vivo zebrafish.

Abstract
T-helper 17 lymphocytes (Th17) are the most common inflammatory cells identified in mammals. However, the identification of Th17 cells and the clarification of their function in teleost fish remain largely unknown. In this study, we took advantage of the single-cell RNA sequencing-based immune cell atlas that was identified in turbot (Scophthalmus maximus), and revealed two chemokine-related genes, ccl20a.3 and ccl20l, that were specifically expressed in Th17 cells. Moreover, through immuno-fluorescence analysis, we found that CCL20a.3 or CCL20l was co-expressed with the classical makers in Th17 cells, including IL17a/f1 and IL22. Furthermore, through a Th17 lineage-specific transcription factor RORc inhibitor GSK805 treatment, we found that the expression of ccl20a.3 and ccl20l was significantly impaired, compared with other T cell markers. Besides, we also found that ccl20a.3 and ccl20l exhibited the same dynamic response with the classical markers that were identified in Th17 cells during bacterial infection. Taken together, these results provide potential gene markers for better understanding of the dynamic immune responses of Th17 cells in teleost fish.

Abstract
This paper aims to explore the effect and mechanism of water-soluble astaxanthin succinate diester (Asta-SD) on ulcerative colitis (UC) induced by dextran sodium sulfate in zebrafish and C57BL/6J mice. Asta-SD was synthesized with hydrophilic fatty acid succinic anhydride and the hydroxyl groups at the ends of F-Asta were synthesized by esterifying. Through the construction of a zebrafish intestinal inflammation model, it was found that Asta-SD could effectively reduce the levels of ROS and increase the number of healthy intestinal lysosomes in zebrafish. After continuous gavage of Asta-SD for seven days, the body weight, disease activity index, colonic length, colonic histopathology, expression of inflammatory factors, and intestinal flora of the mice were measured. The results showed that Asta-SD could significantly alleviate weight loss and colonic shrinkage, as well as reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and recess injury in UC mice. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed that Asta-SD significantly increased the beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus, Anaerotruncus) and decreased the relative abundance of pathogenic bacteria, effectively maintaining intestinal microbiota homeostasis in mice. Based on Pearson analysis, Bacteroides, Parabacteroides, and Butyrimionas were expected to be associated with the significant difference in the expression of inflammatory factors between the UC and the corresponding host. Thus, Asta-SD significantly improves UC and maintains intestinal microbiota homeostasis.

Abstract
The lipid profiles of the truffles with different treatments were determined by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-Quadrupole-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QE Orbitrap/MS/MS) and the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were identified by purge-and-trap-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (P&T-GC-MS). A total of 37 lipid molecular species and 28 VOCs were tentatively identified. Lysophophatidylcholine (LPC), triacylglycerol (TG) and sphingomyelin (SM) in heat-drying truffles, phosphatidic acid (PA) in freeze-drying and fresh truffles might be the key lipids that bound VOCs. Furthermore, the correlation between lipids and VOCs were analyzed by 19 differential lipids and 7 VOCs. The findings indicated that TG 18:2/18:2/18:2 and Cardiolipin (CL) 16:0/16:0/18:2/18:2 might be the key lipid molecule species for the formation of 2-methoxyphenol. The study helps to understand the effect of different treatments on the lipid profiles and provides the mechanistic insights to the relationship between the lipids and VOCs of truffles.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The mechanism of multifactorial spermatogenesis impairment is unclear. This study aimed to investigate the reproductive toxicity of lead (Pb) in mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD) and to delineate the important role of gut microbiota. RESULTS Results showed that, compared with mice fed a normal diet (ND), Pb exposure caused more severe spermatogenesis impairment in HFD-fed mice, including decreased sperm count and motility, seminiferous tubule injury, serum and intratesticular testosterone decline, and downregulated expression level of spermatogenesis-related genes. Besides, 16S sequencing indicated that HFD-fed mice had increased severity of gut microbiota dysbiosis by Pb exposure compared to ND-fed mice. With fecal microbiota transplantation, the same trend of spermatogenesis impairment occurred in recipient mice, which confirmed the important role of gut microbiota. Moreover, probiotics supplementation restored the gut microbial ecosystem, and thus improved spermatogenic function. CONCLUSION Our work suggested that a population with HFD might face more reproductive health risks upon Pb exposure, and revealed an intimate linkage between microbiota dysbiosis and spermatogenesis impairment, accompanied by the potential usefulness of probiotics as prophylactic and therapeutic. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are ubiquitous microorganisms that can colonize the intestine and participate in the physiological metabolism of the host. LAB can produce a variety of metabolites, including organic acids, bacteriocin, amino acids, exopolysaccharides and vitamins. These metabolites are the basis of LAB function and have a profound impact on host health. The intestine is colonized by a large number of gut microorganisms with high species diversity. Metabolites of LAB can keep the balance and stability of gut microbiota through aiding in the maintenance of the intestinal epithelial barrier, resisting to pathogens and regulating immune responses, which further influence the nutrition, metabolism and behavior of the host. In this review, we summarize the metabolites of LAB and their influence on the intestine. We also discuss the underlying regulatory mechanisms and emphasize the link between LAB and the human gut from the perspective of health promotion.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The realization of the "microbiota-gut-brain" axis plays a critical role in neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly depression, is advancing rapidly. Matrine is a natural bioactive compound, which has been found to possess potential antidepressant effect. However, the underlying mechanisms of regulation of the "microbiota-gut-brain" axis in the treatment of depression by oral matrine remain elusive. METHODS Its antidepressant effects were initially evaluated by behavioral tests and relative levels of monoamine neurotransmitters, and matrine has been observed to attenuate the depression-like behavior and increase neurotransmitter content in CUMS-induced mice. Subsequently, studies from the "gut" to "brain" were conducted, including detection of the composition of gut microbiota by 16S rRNA sequencing; the metabolomics detection of gut metabolites and the analysis of differential metabolic pathways; the assessment of relative levels of diamine oxidase, lipopolysaccharide, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) by ELISA kits or immunofluorescence. RESULTS Matrine could regulate the disturbance of gut microbiota and metabolites, restore intestinal permeability, and reduce intestinal inflammation, thereby reducing the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in peripheral blood circulation and brain regions, and ultimately increase the levels of BDNF in brain. CONCLUSION Matrine may ameliorate CUMS-induced depression in mice by modulating the "microbiota-gut-brain" axis.

Abstract
The impact of fermentation by Levilactobacillus brevis YSJ3 on sleep-promoting components (SPCs) of carrot juice was evaluated. The contents of acetic acid, isovaleric acid, butyric acid, and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) significantly increased after fermentation. The beneficial effects of fermented carrot juice (FCJ) on sleep were evaluated in animal experiments. Behavioral test reveal SPCs-enriched FCJ could effectively relieve anxiety. The sleep duration in the FCJ group were extended compared to the control (NC) group and the unfermented carrot juice (UCJ) group. Moreover, the relative abundances of Ruminiclostridium and Akkermansia in the FCJ group and PC group, respectively, increased significantly, compared to the NC group the UCJ group. The contents of gut short-chain fatty acids in the FCJ group were significantly higher than that in the NC group and the UCJ group. The levels of GABA and 5-hydroxytryptamine in the brain for the FCJ group also increased significantly, compared to the NC group and the UCJ group. It indicated that SPCs-enriched FCJ effectively improved sleep in mice, which might be related to the fermentation of carrot juice and the compounds produced during the fermentation.

Abstract
Among aquaculture vaccines, polyvalent vaccines (for immunoprotection against multiple bacterial species) are more efficient and can better avoid bacterial resistance and antibiotic residues in fish. Here, 15 outer membrane proteins (OMPs) of Aeromonas hydrophila were cloned and purified, and mouse antisera were prepared. Passive immunization to Carassius auratus showed that four OMPs sera (OmpW, OmpAII, P5, and AHA2685) and the entire OMPs serum held effective immunoprotection against A. hydrophila infection. Furthermore, the active immunization of four OMPs to C. auratus showed that OmpW, OmpAII, P5, and AHA2685 held effective immunoprotection against A. hydrophila, and OmpW held active cross-protection against Vibrio alginolyticus. The mechanisms of these four candidate vaccines in triggering immune responses were subsequently explored. They all could activate innate immune responses in active immunization, down-regulate (p < 0.05) the inflammation-related genes expression to reduce the inflammatory reaction induced by A. hydrophila, and down-regulate (p < 0.05) antioxidant-related factors to reduce the antioxidant reaction for bacterial infection. Noteablely, the four OMPs had protective abilities on kidney and spleen tissues of C. auratus after challenged with A. hydrophila and V. alginolyticus by histopathological observation. Collectively, our results identify OmpW as a polyvalent vaccine candidate, and OmpAII, P5, and AHA2685 as vaccine candidates against A. hydrophila infection in fish.

Abstract
Superbacteria-induced skin wound infections are huge health challenges, resulting in significant financial and medical costs due to notable morbidity and mortality worldwide. Probiotics are found in the skin and are effective in treating bacterial infection, moderating the microbial dysbiosis and inflammation induced by pathogens, regulating the immune system, as well as even promoting tissue repair. However, improving their colonization efficiency and viability remains a large obstacle for proper applications. Inspired by probiotic therapy and the natural extracellular matrix structure, hyaluronate-adipic dihydrazide/aldehyde-terminated Pluronic F127/fucoidan hydrogels loaded with Lactobacillus rhamnosus (HPF@L.rha) with unique (bio)physicochemical characteristics were developed through the dynamic Schiff-base reaction for superbacteria-infected trauma management. The developed HPF@L.rha exhibit a shortened gelation time, enhanced mechanical strength, and excellent self-healing and liquid-absorption abilities. Importantly, their anti-superbacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) effect was greatly increased in a dose-dependent fashion. Additionally, in vitro evaluation shows that the prepared HPF@L.rha containing appropriate probiotic concentrations (less than 1 × 107 CFU/mL) possess satisfactory cytocompatibility and blood compatibility. Further, compared to the HPF hydrogel, in vivo the hydrogel combined with probiotics significantly inhibits P. aeruginosa infection and inflammation, promotes the formation of re-epithelialization and collagen, and thus accelerates full-thickness superbacteria-infected wound repair, which is comparable to commercial Prontosan gel formulation. This work suggests that the combination of biomimicking hydrogels and probiotic therapy displays the great potential to manage superbug-infected trauma.
