Abstract
Background During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Korean government temporarily allowed full scale telehealth care for safety and usability. However, limited studies have evaluated the impact of telehealth by analyzing the physical and/or mental health data of patients with COVID-19 diagnosis collected through telehealth targeting Korean population. Objective This study aimed to identify subgroup of depressive symptom trajectories in patients with clinically mild COVID-19 using collected longitudinal data from a telehealth-based contactless clinical trial. Methods A total of 199 patients with COVID-19 were accrued for contactless clinical trial using telehealth from March 23 to July 20, 2022. Depressive symptoms were measured using the patient health questionnaire-9 on the start day of quarantine, on the final day of quarantine, and 1 month after release from quarantine. Additionally, acute COVID-19 symptoms were assessed every day during quarantine. This study used a latent class mixed model to differentiate subgroups of depressive symptom trajectories and a logistic regression model with Firth's correction to identify associations between acute COVID-19 symptoms and the subgroups. Results Two latent classes were identified: class 1 with declining linearity at a slow rate and class 2 with increasing linearity. Among COVID-19 symptoms, fever, chest pain, and brain fog 1 month after release from quarantine showed strong associations with class 2 (fever: OR, 19.43, 95% CI, 2.30-165.42; chest pain: OR, 6.55, 95% CI, 1.15-34.61; brain fog: OR, 7.03, 95% CI 2.57-20.95). Sleeping difficulty and gastrointestinal symptoms were also associated with class 2 (gastrointestinal symptoms: OR, 4.76, 95% CI, 1.71-14.21; sleeping difficulty: OR, 3.12, 95% CI, 1.71-14.21). Conclusion These findings emphasize the need for the early detection of depressive symptoms in patients in the acute phase of COVID-19 using telemedicine. Active intervention, including digital therapeutics, may help patients with aggravated depressive symptoms.

Abstract
There is good evidence to suggest that high prevalence of depression and anxiety in the postpartum period. However, very few studies have focused on antenatal depression and anxiety disorders and their associated risk factors. Further, there are only a handful of studies from India on common antenatal mental health disorders. With this background, we reviewed the existing evidence on antenatal depression and anxiety from the studies conducted in Indian pregnant women during the antenatal period and to explore the associated risk factors. All the major databases were searched systematically for English language studies on prevalence and risk factors for antenatal depression and anxiety in Indian pregnant females, published during the period January 2000 to May 2022. Quality assessment of studies was done with the modified version of Newcastle Ottawa Scale for cross-sectional studies. We found the overall prevalence of antenatal depression was ranged from 3.8% to 65% and antenatal anxiety from 13 to 55%. The most relevant risk factors associated with antenatal depression and anxiety during pregnancy were preference to have a male child, intimate partner violence, history of abortions, marital conflict, poor relationship with the husband/in-laws and lack of social support. To conclude, the systematic review suggests that depressive and anxiety disorders are quite common in Indian pregnant women in antepartum period with varying prevalence depending on various settings and scales used. Steps should be taken to promote obstetricians for regular mental health screening during the antenatal visits and prompt referral to mental health professionals when suspected.

Abstract
Background Postpartum depression (PPD) is the most common complication associated with childbirth and can lead to adverse outcomes for both mothers and their children. A previous meta-analysis found that PPD prevalence varies widely across countries. One potential underexplored contributor to this cross-national variation in PPD is diet, which contributes to mental health and varies significantly around the world. Here, we sought to update the global and national estimates of PPD prevalence using systematic review and meta-analysis. Further, we examined whether cross-national variation in PPD prevalence is associated with cross-national variation in diet using meta-regression. Methods To estimate national rates of PPD prevalence, we conducted an updated systematic review of all papers reporting PPD prevalence using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale between 2016-2021 and combined our findings with a previous meta-analysis of articles published between 1985-2015. PPD prevalence and methods were extracted from each study. Random effects meta-analysis was used to estimate global and national PPD prevalence. To examine dietary predictors, we extracted data on sugar-sweetened beverage, fruit, vegetable, total fiber, yogurt, and seafood consumption from the Global Dietary Database. Random effects meta-regression was used to test whether between-country and within-country variation in dietary factors predicted variation in PPD prevalence, controlling for economic and methodological variables. Results 412 studies of 792,055 women from 46 countries were identified. The global pooled prevalence of PPD was 19.18% (95% confidence interval: 18.02 to 20.34%), ranging from 3% in Singapore to 44% in South Africa. Countries that consumed more sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) had higher rates of PPD (Coef. = 0.325, p = 0.044, CI:0.010-0.680); Moreover, in years when higher rates of sugar-sweetened beverages were consumed in a country, there were correspondingly higher rates of PPD in that country (Coef. = 0.129, p = 0.026, CI: 0.016-0.242). Conclusion The global prevalence of PPD is greater than previous calculations, and drastically varies by country. Sugar-sweetened beverage consumption explained some of the national variation in PPD prevalence.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The prospective associations between homework burdens and adolescent neurobehavioral problems, and whether sleep-durations mediated and sex modified such associations remained unclear. METHODS Using Shanghai-Adolescent-Cohort study, 609 middle-school students were recruited and investigations took place at Grade 6, 7 and 9. Information on homework burdens (defined by homework completion-time and self-perceived homework difficulty), bedtime/wake-up-time and neurobehavioral problems was collected. Two patterns of comprehensive homework burdens ('high' vs. 'low') were identified by latent-class-analysis and two distinct neurobehavioral trajectories ('increased-risk' vs. 'low-risk') were formed by latent-class-mixture-modeling. RESULTS Among the 6th-9th graders, the prevalence-rates of sleep-insufficiency and late-bedtime ranged from 44.0 %-55.0 % and 40.3 %-91.6 %, respectively. High homework burdens were concurrently associated with increased-risks of neurobehavioral problems (IRRs: 1.345-1.688, P < 0.05) at each grade, and such associations were mediated by reduced sleep durations (IRRs for indirect-effects: 1.105-1.251, P < 0.05). High homework burden at the 6th-grade (ORs: 2.014-2.168, P < 0.05) or high long-term (grade 6-9) homework burden (ORs: 1.876-1.925, P < 0.05) significantly predicted increased-risk trajectories of anxiety/depression and total-problems, with stronger associations among girls than among boys. The longitudinal associations between long-term homework burdens and increased-risk trajectories of neurobehavioral problems were mediated by reduced sleep-durations (ORs for indirect-effects: 1.189-1.278, P < 0.05), with stronger mediation-effects among girls. LIMITATIONS This study was restricted to Shanghai adolescents. CONCLUSIONS High homework burden had both short-term and long-term associations with adolescent neurobehavioral problems, with stronger associations among girls, and sleep-insufficiency may mediate such associations in a sex-specific manner. Approaches targeting appropriate homework-load/difficulty and sleep restoration may help prevent adolescent neurobehavioral problems.

Abstract
Postpartum depression (PPD) occurs frequently among postpartum women. Stressful life events (SLE) have gradually been recognized as risk factors for PPD. However, research on this topic has produced equivocal results. The purpose of this study was to explore whether women who experienced prenatal SLE had a higher prevalence of PPD. Electronic databases were systematically searched until October 2021. Only prospective cohort studies were included. Pooled prevalence ratios (PRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using random effects models. This meta-analysis included 17 studies involving 9822 individuals. Women who experienced prenatal SLE had a higher prevalence for PPD (PR = 1.82, 95%CI = 1.52-2.17). In subgroup analyses, a 112% and 78% higher prevalence of depressive disorders (PR = 2.12, 95%CI = 1.34-3.38) and depressive symptoms (PR = 1.78, 95%CI = 1.47-2.17) were detected in women who experienced prenatal SLE. The effect of SLE on PPD at postpartum different time points differed: PR = 3.25 (95%CI = 2.01-5.25) for ≤6 weeks, PR = 2.01 (95%CI = 1.53-2.65) for 7-12 weeks, PR = 1.17 (95%CI = 0.49-2.31) for >12 weeks. No obvious publication bias was detected. The findings support that prenatal SLE increase the prevalence of PPD. The effect of SLE on PPD tends to slightly decrease during the postpartum period. Furthermore, these findings highlight the importance of screening for PPD as early as possible, particularly among postpartum women who have experienced SLE.

Abstract
Mental illnesses are a serious concern in India where every seventh person suffers from mental health problems-with women more affected than men. While the burden of perinatal mental illnesses grows, India lacks exclusive policies to address it. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on routine antenatal care and institutional deliveries and has also affected the mental health of pregnant women and mothers. We evaluated existing policies. Policy options were evaluated against criteria like cost-benefit analysis, administrative feasibility, human resources, and equity along with the intended and unintended consequences. We propose three policy options: (1) strengthening and focused implementation of the existing national mental health program (NMHP), (2) integrating mental health in the ongoing Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health Program, and (3) including a 'maternal' component in NMHP. We offered policy recommendations to fill the gap in addressing the maternal mental health challenge in India.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Perinatal Depression (PND) is one of the most common complications (10-20 %) during the perinatal period and its clinical course and phenotypes are still an area of research. It is becoming increasingly clear that pregnant women and mothers with depression are not a homogeneous clinical group. METHODS A systematic literature search in 4 databases revealed 359 studies, 33 relevant studies met the inclusion criteria. We only included studies with at least three assessment points in total. RESULTS Two to six trajectory classes were identified. A three trajectories solution was most observed. All the included studies reported a low symptom trajectory but ranged from 6.5 % to 92 %. The high-symptom group was in most of the studies the smallest subgroup (1.1 % - 14.6 %). Most of the studies described episodic trajectories of depressive symptoms during the peripartum. The most common risk factor associated with a high-symptom trajectory of depressive symptoms in our study was a history of depression. Important socio-demographic predictors were: young age, ethnicity, low maternal education, low income, single relationship status or relationship problems, unplanned or unintended pregnancy and experiencing high stress levels. LIMITATIONS The methodology and the observed PND trajectories of the included studies differed, which makes generalizability difficult in this review. CONCLUSIONS PND is a frequent but heterogeneous disorder. Globally, four major groups could be distinguished: low, medium, high and episodic trajectories. There is a need for consensus regarding which assessment instruments to use, validated cutoff scores and similar time points of assessment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) is a validated screening tool widely used to assess perinatal depression (PND). However, due to stigma associated with PND, respondents could answer sensitive questions differently depending on the mode of administration, especially in culturally and linguistically diverse country like India. The present study explored longitudinal differences in EPDS scores between self-administered and interviewer-administered modes. METHODS 177 women from rural South India were administered EPDS, self-administration followed by interviewer-administered for four visits, twice each during prenatal and postnatal visits. EPDS scores were compared between the two modes descriptively, graphically and by repeated mixed measure models. Classification of antenatal depression (AD), postnatal depression (PD) and PND based on the two modes were compared by McNemar Chi-square test. Clinical and psychosocial characteristics were examined to identify factors associated with differences in the scoring modes. Concordance rates and Goodman Kruskal's Gamma coefficients were measured for individual EPDS items. RESULTS Longitudinal EPDS scores and rates of AD, PD and PND were significantly higher in self-administered mode. Recent adverse life events were the only factor observed to be significantly associated with the differences between the two modes. Rank correlation and concordance rates suggested stronger association for EPDS items relating to anhedonia subscale and moderate/weaker association for EPDS items relating to anxiety/depression subscales. CONCLUSION Our study findings suggest that the effect of mode of administration should be taken into account while using PND screening tools such as EPDS, especially in countries such as India with higher levels of illiteracy.
