Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is the top infectious killer in the world despite efforts to eliminate it. Pharmaceutical care roles are pillars of pharmacy practice, and pharmacists are well equipped to serve a unique role in the pathway to provide education about TB. Previous systematic reviews emphasize pharmacists' role in treating TB; however, pharmacists can and do play much broader roles in overall TB elimination efforts. Five researchers searched five electronic databases (PubMed, PsychInfo, CINAHL, Academic Search Premier, and Embase). Search terms included pharmacy, pharmacist, tuberculosis, antitubercular agents, supply, distribution, and drug therapy. Inclusion criteria were studies published from 2010 through March 2023, in English or Spanish, addressed a specific TB-related role for pharmacists/pharmacies, and were peer-reviewed. Exclusion criteria included pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, clinical trials on drug efficacy, and editorials. Two researchers conducted each level of review; for discordance, a third researcher reviewed, and a decision was reached by consensus. Roles were extracted and cross-referenced with traditional pharmaceutical care steps. Of the initial 682 hits, 133 were duplicates. After further review, we excluded 514 records, leaving 37 articles for full extraction. We found nine roles for pharmacists in TB prevention and classified them as implemented, not implemented, or recommended. These roles were: (1) TB symptom screening; (2) Referring to TB care systems; (3) TB testing; (4) Dispensing TB medication correctly and/or directly observed therapy; (5) Counseling; (6) Looking to reduce socioeconomic barriers; (7) Procurement of TB medications; (8) Quality assurance of TB medications; (9) Maintaining and using pharmacy data systems. Pharmacists are well situated to play a vital role in the global fight against TB. Findings suggested pharmacists in many settings have already expanded their roles related to TB elimination beyond traditional pharmaceutical care. Still others need to increase the understanding of TB procurement and treatment, their power to improve TB care, and their contributions to data systems that serve population health. Pharmacy curricula should increase TB-related training to better equip future pharmacists to contribute to TB elimination.

Abstract
Background Pharmacists can play an important role in the fight against tuberculosis (TB) through optimising medication use and safety, promoting adherence to anti-TB drugs, and providing patient education. Limited evidence is available on the effectiveness of pharmacist's interventions on health outcomes in patients with pulmonary TB. This systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness of pharmaceutical care interventions in the management of pulmonary TB. Methods English language studies assessing the impact of pharmaceutical care interventions in TB management were searched across three electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane), a RCT registry ClinicalTrial.gov, a peer-reviewed journal 'The Lancet Infectious Diseases', and the references of retrieved articles. Interventions delivered by pharmacists alone or as part of multidisciplinary teams were included in the review. Data were extracted using the modified Cochrane EPOC standardised data collection tool. The Cochrane Risk of Bias 2 and the NIH quality assessment tools were used to assess the risk of bias among included studies. Data were synthesised narratively. (PROSPERO Protocol Registration CRD42022325771). Results Thirteen studies, including two randomised controlled trials (RCTs) with a total of 3886 patients were included. Many of the included studies had a high risk of bias and lacked cohert reporting of treatment outcomes. The most common pharmaceutical care interventions were education and counselling regarding adverse drug reactions and resolution of drug-related problems. Five studies showed a relatively high TB completion rate yet only one study reached the targeted treatment success goal of (>90%). Conclusion The current evidence suggests that pharmaceutical care interventions can potentially improve treatment outcomes among patients with pulmonary TB. However, no definitive conclusion can be drawn given the low methodological quality of the included studies and lack of long-term follow-up data. Well-designed RCTs with careful attention to study methodology, standardised outcomes assessment aligned with the World Health Organization's guidelines are warranted to guide future practice and policy.

Abstract
Objective: This study aims to systematically review the content and potential effects of clinical pharmacy services in tuberculosis (TB) care management. Methods: Searches were performed in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, Scopus, and Web of Science databases following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. Study characteristics and outcomes were extracted, and clinical pharmacy service components were characterized using the Descriptive Elements of Pharmacist Intervention Characterization Tool. Results: Twenty articles were included for full-text assessment, of which 10 fulfilled inclusion criteria, comprising 1,168 patients (N = 39 to 258 per study). These articles included five prospective cohort studies, two case-control studies, two quasi-experimental studies, and one cross-sectional study. Intervention foci within clinical pharmacy services were medication adherence (50%), medication safety (40%), education to patients/caregivers regarding needs/beliefs (30%), optimizing medication/therapy effectiveness (30%), emphasizing HRQoL (10%), and drug selections (10%). The three most frequently applied interventions were drug information/patient counseling (80%), adverse drug reaction monitoring (50%), and drug use evaluation (20%). Based on the World Health Organization (WHO) outcome classification, treatment success ranged from 72% to 93%, with higher cure outcomes (53%-86%) than treatment completion (7%-19%). Other outcomes, including isoniazid metabolites, medication counts, sputum conversion, adherence/compliance, knowledge, and quality of life, were better in the intervention group than those in comparator groups, and/or they improved over time. Risk of bias analysis indicated that the included studies were not comparable to a randomized clinical trial. Conclusion: Clinical pharmacy services as single or composite interventions potentially improve TB outcomes, but its evidence is still inconsistent and limited due to the lack of randomized controlled studies using the WHO outcome classification. Abstract
Background Validated and standardized structured questionnaires based on psychometric analysis are extremely limited, particularly for assessing community pharmacy personnel's knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) in tuberculosis (TB) case detection, drug monitoring, and education. We, therefore, developed and validated a questionnaire to assess the KAP of community pharmacy personnel in TB case detection, drug monitoring, and community education. Methods This study was conducted in two phases. First, we developed the questionnaire, which included framework development, item generation, individual item content validity index (I-CVI), item screening, and pre-testing. Second, we validated the questionnaire with 400 participants using various analyses, including participant analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), adjusted goodness-of-fit index (AGFI), comparative fit index (CFI), non-normed fit index (NNFI), root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA), and standardized root mean square residual (SRMR). We determined the reliability test using Cronbach's alpha and test-retest reliability using Pearson's correlation. Results In the development phase, we defined 63 items that comprised 18 sociodemographic, 18 knowledge, 18 attitude, and 9 practice items. Across the 63 items, the I-CVI scores of sociodemographic and KAP items were one each. The CFA model parameter values were X2/df= 2.28; AGFI = 0.95; CFI = 0.99; NNFI = 0.98; RMSEA = 0.06; and SRMR = 0.03 (p < 0.05 for all). Cronbach's alpha coefficients of KAP items were 0.75, 0.91, and 0.95, respectively. The test-retest reliability coefficients of KAP were 0.84, 0.55, and 0.91, respectively (p < 0.01). Conclusion This study indicates that the developed questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing the KAP of community pharmacy personnel for TB case detection, drug monitoring, and community education in Indonesia. Community pharmacy personnel can support TB notification and treatment by assessing their prospective roles in surveys using this questionnaire, enabling TB eradication in 2030.

Abstract
Decreasing global tuberculosis (TB) notifications indicate problems related to TB patient detection and treatment outcomes. Pharmaceutical care (PC) has potential roles in managing these issues. However, PC practices have not yet become widespread in the real world. This systematic scoping review aimed to identify and analyze the current literature on practical models of pharmaceutical care for improving tuberculosis patient detection and treatment outcomes. We then discussed the present challenges and future considerations for the successful implementation of PC services in TB. A systematic scoping review was performed to identify the practice models of PC in TB. Systematic searches and screening were used to identify relevant articles in the PubMed and Cochrane databases. We then discussed the challenges and recommendations for successful implementation using a framework to improve professional healthcare practice. Our analysis included 14 of 201 eligible articles. We identified that the focuses in the PC of TB are on increasing patient detection (four articles) and improving TB treatment outcomes (ten articles). Practices cover services in the community and hospital settings, such as screening and referring people with presumptive TB, tuberculin test services, collaborative practices for treatment completion, directly observed treatment, the solution of drug-related problems, reporting and managing adverse drug reactions, and medication adherence programs. Although PC services positively increase TB patient detection and treatment outcomes, hidden challenges in the actual practice are analyzed. Several factors should be comprehensively considered in successful implementation, such as guidelines, individual pharmacy personnel, patient, professional interaction, organizational capacity, regulation, incentive, and resource factors. Hence, a collaborative PC program that involves all related stakeholders should be considered to create successful and sustainable PC services in TB.

Abstract
BACKGROUND A multidisciplinary approach is required to tackle the tuberculosis (TB) epidemic, which is one of the most pressing public health concerns worldwide. However, community pharmacists are underutilized in TB programs. OBJECTIVE To identify community pharmacists-led interventions in TB management with their corresponding impacts in TB case detection and treatment outcomes. METHODS A systematic search was performed in six electronic databases and health organization websites, from database inception to August 2, 2022. Studies which described TB screening, referral and/or treatment monitoring by community pharmacists with their corresponding outcomes were screened and reviewed independently by two reviewers. The studies were checked for the risk of bias using Cochrane risk of bias tools. All data of included studies were analysed qualitatively and presented narratively. RESULTS The search yielded 8,121 studies and five reports for initial screening. Sixteen studies and two case study reports were included in this review. Community pharmacists were involved throughout the TB care cascade, contributing their services in TB screening, referrals and in directly observed treatment-short course (DOTS) program. These interventions showed improvements in the effective control and prevention of further spread of TB, which improves individual, community and population level outcomes. CONCLUSIONS The inclusion of community pharmacists into TB program can improve the continuity of care, bridging the gaps in TB case detection and treatment monitoring. Adequate training and support are essential, to further empower the role of community pharmacists in TB control and prevention, in building a TB-free world.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the contributions of educational technologies used during the guidelines for sputum collection from pulmonary tuberculosis. METHOD Systematic review guided by Preferred Reporting items for Systematic Reviews with protocol registered in the database International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews, with number CRD42020208162. The search was performed in the Cinahl, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Lilacs, CENTRAL, CAPES, Proquest, OpenGrey databases and manual search in the reference list. The search, selection of studies, data extraction, and methodological evaluation using the Cochrane Risk-of-Bias tool were performed by two independent reviewers. RESULTS A total of 2,488 studies were evidenced, with seven being selected and analyzed, of which four used structured lectures; three, educational booklet; and one, an educational video, used alone or together, impacting the bacteriological confirmation of tuberculosis. The studies had a low risk of bias. CONCLUSION Scientific evidence has shown that educational technologies contribute to increasing the quality, volume, and appearance of the sputum sample, which improves the bacteriological confirmation of the disease.

Abstract
Abstract
BACKGROUND: stunting is still a severe problem in today's youth. One of the causes of stunting nutrition problems is the ignorance of adolescents about adolescent nutrition and nutritional problems that occur. Knowledge of adolescent nutrition about health and nutritional problems, especially stunting, is needed to break the intergenerational chain of stunting in the future. One of the efforts to deal with stunting in adolescents is counseling using media.
AIM: Knowing the Use of Media in Stunting Counseling for Teenagers at Langsa High School
METHODS: This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a two-group pre-test and post-test design. The test used was the Pairet Sample t-test and Independent t-test with a significance level (α) of 0.05 (95%).
RESULTS: The results showed a difference in the knowledge of the students of Senior High School 1 Langsa after the Leaflet and tik to intervention with the mean value after the leaflet intervention 18.63 and the mean difference being 1.188. The mean value after the tick-tock intervention is 17.44, and the mean difference is 1.188 with a p-value of 0.005. This value implies differences in the knowledge of Senior High School 1 Langsa students after the intervention using leaflets and tik tok. In the attitude aspect, there are differences in the students' attitudes of Senior High School 2 Langsa after the Leaflet and Tik-Tok intervention, with the mean value after the leaflet intervention 40.13 and the mean difference being 3,958. The mean value after the Tik-Tok intervention is 36.17, the mean difference is 3.958, and the p-value is 0.011. This value means that there are differences in the attitudes of students at Senior High School 2 Langsa after the Leaflet and Tik-Tok intervention was carried out
CONCLUSION: The use of TikTok and Leaflet media has proven effective in stunting counseling for adolescents in high school in Kota Langsa. This is evidenced by the statistical results that show differences in knowledge and attitudes of Senior High School 1 and Senior High School 2 students after the intervention using leaflets and Tik-Tok (p-value 0.005).

Abstract
RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar as contribuições das tecnologias educativas utilizadas durante as orientações para coleta de escarro da tuberculose pulmonar. Método: Revisão sistemática guiada pelo Preferred Reporting items for Systematic Reviews com protocolo registrado na base International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews, sob o número CRD42020208162. A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados Cinahl, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Lilacs, CENTRAL, CAPES, Proquest, OpenGrey e busca manual na lista de referências. A busca, seleção dos estudos, extração dos dados e avaliação metodológica pela ferramenta do Risco de Viés da Cochrane foram realizadas por dois revisores independentes. Resultados: Evidenciaram-se 2488 estudos, sendo sete selecionados e analisados, dos quais quatro utilizaram palestras estruturadas; três, folder educativo; e um, vídeo educativo. Todos foram utilizados de forma isolada ou em conjunto, impactando na confirmação bacteriológica da tuberculose. Os estudos apresentaram baixo risco de viés. Conclusão: As evidências científicas demonstraram que as tecnologias educativas apresentam como contribuições o aumento da qualidade, volume e aspecto da amostra de escarro, o que proporciona a melhoria da confirmação bacteriológica da doença.

The Effectiveness and Value of Written Medicine Information Across Asia and Africa: Systematic Review. Drug Saf 2021; 44:1283-1295. Abstract
Reviews on the role, value, effectiveness and desirable content of written medicine information (WMI) mostly include studies from high-income countries. We reviewed studies from Africa and Asia published between January 2004 and December 2019 to determine (1) the effect of WMI on knowledge and behaviour and (2) whether patients value WMI and their preferences for WMI. We included 16 intervention studies involving almost 3500 participants and 27 surveys of patients/public totalling over 11,000 people. Both the quality of the intervention studies and the reporting quality varied. Surveys were mostly localised, many with inadequate sampling strategies, and hence, were poorly representative of wider populations. However, most included a high proportion of participants with low educational levels. Most of the intervention studies reported significant improvements in knowledge and/or adherence after provision of WMI. Many utilised specially developed WMI in local languages, enhanced by pictograms. Provision of verbal information in addition to WMI showed variable impact. The proportion of people who read WMI, used as an indicator of its value, was reported in 15 surveys, with an overall figure of 74%. The most desirable aspects of WMI reported in 12 studies were indication, side effects, dose/instructions for use, contraindications, precautions and interactions. Nine studies reported local language was desirable. The studies suggest that WMI can improve both knowledge and adherence and is highly valued by people in many countries across Africa and Asia. Mechanisms should be considered by regulatory authorities and manufacturers to facilitate the provision of leaflets in local languages using simple terminology, perhaps enhanced by pictograms.This study is registered with PROSPERO, registration number: CRD42019127001.

Abstract
Published reviews of written medicine information (WMI) have mainly drawn on studies published in high-income countries, including very few Asian or African studies. We therefore set out to scope the research literature to determine the extent and type of studies concerning WMI for patients/consumers across these two continents. We sought empirical studies published between January 2004 and December 2019, conducted in any Asian or African country, as defined by the United Nations, in English or with an English abstract. The majority of the 923 papers identified were from high-income countries. We retained 26 papers from Africa and 99 from Asia. Most African studies (n = 20) involved patients in the development of PILs, in the assessment of the effectiveness of PILs or in surveys. In contrast, the highest proportion of Asian studies concerned the content of WMI (n = 42). WMI is desired, but needs to be in local languages, and there needs to be more use made of pre-tested pictograms. Existing WMI frequently does not meet local regulatory requirements, particularly locally manufactured products. A number of studies reported potentially positive impacts of providing WMI on knowledge and medicine use behaviours. Provision of medicine information is essential for safe use of medicines in all countries. Internationally agreed guidelines, incorporating good design principles, are needed to ensure the optimal content and design of WMI. The World Health Organization should support African and Asian regulatory bodies to share best practice in relation to WMI for patients/consumers and to develop and implement pan-continental guidelines that take into account consumer needs and preferences.
