Abstract
BACKGROUND There is a need for unified guidance in the management of acneiform rash induced by epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors (EGFRi) among dermatologists. OBJECTIVE To establish unified international guidelines for the management of acneiform rash caused by EGFR inhibitors, based on an experts' Delphi consensus. METHODS The initiative was led by five members of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Task Force 'Dermatology for Cancer Patients' who developed a questionnaire that was circulated to a group of 32 supportive oncodermatology experts in Europe, Canada, Argentina, the US States and Asia. The questionnaire consisted of 84 statements in total, regarding diagnosis and treatment of EGFRi-induced acneiform rash. Experts responded to an anonymous 5-point Likert scale survey. The coordinators collected the first-round responses that were checked for consensus (≥75% agreement in positive [agree or strongly agree] or in negative [disagree or strongly disagree] vote). The statements that did not reach strong consensus in the first round were revised, according to experts' feedback, for a second-round survey. RESULTS Strong consensus was reached in 75/84 (89.3%) of the statements, whilst moderate consensus was achieved in 6/84 elements. Key points include consideration of low-dose isotretinoin for refractory grade II/III acneiform rash, use of topical steroid-sparing agents like topical pimecrolimus in the maintenance phase and use of doxycycline in either 100 or 200 mg per day as prophylactic treatment. Interestingly, experts did not recommend topical antibiotics, neither for prevention, nor for treatment. Consensus failure in 3/84 objects is mostly related to the lack of robust data on these topics. CONCLUSION This consensus offers crucial insights often overlooked by radiotherapists, general practitioners, dermatologists and oncologists, and it is expected to improve the management of oncologic patients treated with EGFRi in different settings and continents.

Abstract
Cancer remains a concern after years of research in this field. Conventional therapies such as chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery are available for cancer treatment, but they are characterized by various side effects. There are several immunological challenges that make it difficult for the immune system and conventional therapies to treat cancer. Some of these challenges include heterogeneity, resistance to medicines, and cancer relapse. Even advanced treatments like immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), which revolutionized cancer treatment, have associated toxicity and resistance further necessitate the exploration of alternative therapies. Anticancer peptides (ACPs) offer promising potential as cancer-fighting agents and address challenges such as treatment resistance, tumor heterogeneity, and metastasis. Although these peptides exist as components of the defense system in various plants, animals, fungi, etc., but can also be created synthetically and used as a new treatment measure. These peptides possess properties that make them appealing for cancer therapy, such as apoptosis induction, inhibition of angiogenesis, and cell membrane breakdown with low toxicity. Their capacity to specifically target cancer cells selectively holds promise for enhancing treatment environments as well as improving patients' quality of life. This review provides detailed insights into the different prospects of ACPs, including their characterization, use as immunomodulatory agents in cancer treatment, and their mechanistic details after addressing various immunological challenges in existing cancer treatment strategies. In conclusion, ACPs have promising potential as novel cancer therapeutics due to their target specificity and fewer side effects than conventional therapies.

Abstract
Cutaneous adverse drug reactions (ADRs) represent a heterogeneous field including various clinical patterns without specific features suggesting drug causality. Maculopapular exanthema and urticaria are the most common types of cutaneous ADR. Serious cutaneous ADRs, which may cause permanent sequelae or have fatal outcome, may represent 2% of all cutaneous ADR and must be quickly identified to guide their management. These serious reactions include bullous manifestations (epidermal necrolysis i.e. Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis), drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP). Some risk factors for developing cutaneous ADRs have been identified, including immunosuppression, autoimmunity or genetic variants. All drugs can cause cutaneous ADRs, the most commonly implicated being antibiotics (especially aminopenicillins and sulfonamides), anticonvulsants, allopurinol, antineoplastic drugs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and iodinated contrast media. Pathophysiology is related to immediate or delayed "idiosyncratic" immunologic mechanisms, i.e., usually not related to dose, and pharmacologic/toxic mechanisms, commonly dose-dependent and/or time-dependent. If an immuno-allergic mechanism is suspected, allergological explorations (including epicutaneous patch testing and/or intradermal test) are often possible to clarify drug causality, however these have a variable sensitivity according to the drug and to the ADR type. No in vivo or in vitro test can consistently confirm the drug causality. To determine the origin of a rash, a logical approach based on clinical characteristics, chronologic factors and elimination of differential diagnosis (especially infectious etiologies) is required, completed with a literature search. Reporting to pharmacovigilance system is therefore essential both to analyze drug causality at individual level, and to contribute to knowledge of the drug at population level, especially for serious cutaneous ADRs or in cases involving newly marketed drugs.

Abstract
PURPOSE Radiation therapy is broadly used as one of the main treatment methods for patients with head and neck cancers and skull base tumors. However, it can lead to normal tissue complications. Therefore, this study aimed to model normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) of eyelid skin erythema after radiation therapy. METHODS The dataset of 45 patients with head and neck and skull base tumors was prospectively collected from their dose-volume histograms (DVHs). Grade 1 + eyelid skin erythema based on the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE 4.0) was evaluated as the endpoint after a three-month follow-up. The Lyman-Kutcher-Burman (LKB) radiobiological model was developed based on generalized equivalent uniform dose (gEUD). Model parameters were calculated by maximum likelihood estimation. Model performance was evaluated by ROC-AUC, Brier score and Hosmer-Lemeshow test. RESULTS After three months of follow-up, 13.33% of patients experienced eyelids skin erythema grade 1 or more. The parameters of the LKB model were: TD50 = 30 Gy, m = 0.14, and n = 0.10. The model showed good predictive performance with ROC-AUC = 0.80 (CI:0.66-0.94) and a Brier score of 0.20. CONCLUSIONS In this study, NTCP of eyelid skin erythema was modeled based on the LKB radiobiological model with good predictive performance.

Abstract
Since their invention in the early 2000s, tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have gained prominence as the most effective pathway-directed anti-cancer agents. TKIs have shown significant utility in the treatment of multiple hematological malignancies and solid tumors, including chronic myelogenous leukemia, non-small cell lung cancers, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and HER2-positive breast cancers. Given their widespread applications, an increasing frequency of TKI-induced adverse effects has been reported. Although TKIs are known to affect multiple organs in the body including the lungs, liver, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, thyroid, blood, and skin, cardiac involvement accounts for some of the most serious complications. The most frequently reported cardiovascular side effects range from hypertension, atrial fibrillation, reduced cardiac function, and heart failure to sudden death. The potential mechanisms of these side effects are unclear, leading to critical knowledge gaps in the development of effective therapy and treatment guidelines. There are limited data to infer the best clinical approaches for the early detection and therapeutic modulation of TKI-induced side effects, and universal consensus regarding various management guidelines is yet to be reached. In this state-of-the-art review, we examine multiple pre-clinical and clinical studies and curate evidence on the pathophysiology, mechanisms, and clinical management of these adverse reactions. We expect that this review will provide researchers and allied healthcare providers with the most up-to-date information on the pathophysiology, natural history, risk stratification, and management of emerging TKI-induced side effects in cancer patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Over 90% of patients with cancer experience 1 or more symptoms caused directly by cancer or its treatment. These symptoms negatively impact on the completion of planned treatment as well as patients' health-related quality of life (HRQoL). It often results in serious complications and even life-threatening outcomes. Thus, it has been recommended that surveillance of symptom burden should be performed and managed during cancer treatment. However, differences in symptom profiles in various patients with cancer have not been fully elucidated for use in performing surveillance in the real world. OBJECTIVE This study aims to evaluate the burden of symptoms in patients with various types of cancers during chemotherapy or radiation therapy using the PRO-CTCAE (Patient-Reported Outcome Version of the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events) and its impact on quality of life. METHODS We performed a cross-sectional study of patients undergoing outpatient-based chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or both at the National Cancer Center at Goyang or at the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea between December 2017 and January 2018. To evaluate cancer-specific symptom burden, we developed 10 subsets for using the PRO-CTCAE-Korean. To measure HRQoL, we used the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Core Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30). Participants answered questions prior to their clinic appointments on tablets. Multivariable linear regression was used to analyze symptoms based on cancer type and to evaluate the association between the PRO-CTCAE items and the EORTC QLQ-C30 summary score. RESULTS The mean age (SD) of the patients was 55.0 (11.9) years, and 39.94% (540/1352) were male. Overall, symptoms in the gastrointestinal category were the most dominant in all cancers. Fatigue (1034/1352, 76.48%), decreased appetite (884/1352, 65.38%), and numbness and tingling (778/1352, 57.54%) were the most frequently reported. Patients reported more local symptoms caused by a specific cancer. In terms of nonsite-specific symptoms, patients commonly reported concentration (587/1352, 43.42%), anxiety (647/1352, 47.86%), and general pain (605/1352, 44.75%). More than 50% of patients with colorectal (69/127, 54.3%), gynecologic (63/112, 56.3%), breast (252/411, 61.3%), and lung cancers (121/234, 51.7%) experienced decreased libido, whereas 67/112 (59.8%) patients with gynecologic cancer and lymphoma/myeloma reported pain during sexual intercourse. Patients with breast, gastric, and liver cancers were more likely to have the hand-foot syndrome. Worsening PRO-CTCAE scores were associated with poor HRQoL (eg, fatigue: coefficient -8.15; 95% CI -9.32 to -6.97), difficulty in achieving and maintaining erection (coefficient -8.07; 95% CI -14.52 to -1.61), poor concentration (coefficient -7.54; 95% CI -9.06 to -6.01), and dizziness (coefficient -7.24; 95% CI -8.92 to -5.55). CONCLUSIONS The frequency and severity of symptoms differed by cancer types. Higher symptom burden was associated with poor HRQoL, which suggests the importance of appropriate surveillance of PRO symptoms during cancer treatment. Considering patients had comprehensive symptoms, it is necessary to include a holistic approach in the symptom monitoring and management strategies based on comprehensive patient-reported outcome measurements.

Abstract
Microneedles have garnered significant interest as transdermal drug delivery route owing to the advantages of nonselective loading capacity, minimal invasiveness, simple operation, and good biocompatibility. A number of therapeutics can be loaded into microneedles, including hydrophilic and hydrophobic small molecular drugs, and macromolecular drugs (proteins, mRNA, peptides, vaccines) for treatment of miscellaneous diseases. Microneedles feature with special benefits for cutaneous diseases owing to the direct transdermal delivery of therapeutics to the skin. This review mainly introduces microneedles fabricated with different technologies and transdermal delivery of various therapeutics for cutaneous diseases, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, skin and soft tissue infection, superficial tumors, axillary hyperhidrosis, and plantar warts.

Abstract
Erlotinib (Tarceva®) is a drug used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations. Since EGFR is expressed in the skin, EGFR inhibitors commonly develop cutaneous side effects such as acneiform eruption, paronychia, telangiectasias, and abnormal eyelash growth. A 56-year-old man and a 46-year-old man visited the dermatology clinic complaining of yellowish papuloplaques and acneiform eruption on the face. They had been treated with erlotinib for lung cancer. Since patients using EGFR inhibitors are increasing, physicians should be aware that xanthomatous change can occur in severe acneiform eruptions after erlotinib treatment.

Abstract
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is among the common tumors associated with high mortality. The aim of our meta-analysis was to determine how additional anti-EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) therapy to standard chemotherapy affects the progression-free (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of the patients, besides the most common side effects. We used CENTRAL, MEDLINE and Embase databases until October 26, 2020, and included 13 eligible randomized controlled trials in our systematic research. The pooled hazard ratios (HR) for the main outcomes from the original data were estimated and for the other dichotomous outcomes, odds ratios (ORs) with their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated. Addition of EGFR inhibitors to conventional chemotherapy significantly decreased the death and disease progression (for PFS HR:0.68, 95% CI:0.55-0.81, I2 =65.5%, p=0.005) and mortality (for OS HR:0.83, 95% CI:0.72-0.94, I2 =42.3%, p=0.076). In the EGFR inhibitor group, we revealed an increased chance of the over Grade 3 skin rashes (OR:4.86; 95% CI:1.52-15.49, I2 =2.3%, p=0.407), as well as all Grade skin rashes (OR:18.32, 95% CI:8.07-41.60, I2 =56.6 %, p=0.032). Despite their unwanted dermatological side effects, the addition of EGFR inhibitors are recommended to be included in advanced HNSCC therapy.

Abstract
Modern cancer management has changed over the period of time and now shifted to multidisciplinary care approach to ensure a better quality of life (QOL) of the surfing patients. Every form of cancer treatment has side effects and affects the QOL. Many of the side effects have been discussed in detail because of the need for timely interventions to prevent the consequences of the side effects. Dermatological adverse events due to cancer treatment are important but most commonly ignored in our clinical practice. Nursing staffs have a critical role in the early identification of such events and by briefing and training of the nursing staff in the identification of adverse events which can aid in the prevention of complications. As dermatologists may not be available round the clock, nursing staff are looking after the patients round the clock can prove very vital in screening cutaneous AE and adequately setting up referrals to aid early recognition and treatment of not only mild but also potentially life-threatening complications. The nursing staff, which is a cadre of health caregivers that are intimately involved in cancer care, can be trained to identify timely, skin-related adverse events. A literature search of scientific publications was done using the electronic databases PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar. The search included terms 'Adverse events (AEs) post-chemotherapy,' 'AE post-radiotherapy,' 'AE post-immunotherapy,' 'AE post-hormonal therapy for cancer' and 'AE post-cancer surgery.' Data obtained from these studies and case reports were compiled and interpreted to prepare this review. This review focuses on various ways in which skin can be involved adversely as a part of cancer management and their classic and tell-tale signs to help the nurses in their better and quicker identification so that dermatologists are timely intimated and the treatment can be instituted to improve the patient's QOL.

Abstract
The incidence of lung cancer is increasing yearly worldwide, and targeted medicines are the main choice for lung cancer patients. However, there has been no relevant research about the analysis and adjustment of drug combinations for cancer patients with hypertension and hyperlipidemia until now. Here, we reported a case of medicine adjustment for a patient of lung cancer with hypertension and hyperlipidemia. The patient was diagnosed as right lung adenocarcinoma with lymph node metastasis and continued taking gefitinib tablets to maintain therapeutic efficacy after the end of chemotherapy. Severe paronychia and a high plasma concentration of gefitinib were noticed when the patient visited the hospital for reexamination. The clinical pharmacist found that the patient took nifedipine sustained-release tablets and simvastatin tablets simultaneously, and these medicines were all substrates of CYP3A4. The clinical pharmacist suggested replacing the medicines for hypertension and hyperlipidemia with valsartan capsules (Diovan) and rosuvastatin calcium tablets (Crestor), respectively. The adverse cutaneous reactions were greatly relieved, and the plasma concentration of gefitinib was decreased when another reexamination was performed. Therapeutic drug monitoring was an important method in our case and provided valuable information to develop individualized treatment strategies. For cancer patients suffering from other diseases such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, it is necessary to pay special attention to the drug-drug interactions and metabolic pathways among drug combinations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) are the two most frightful and unpleasant side effects of chemotherapy. CINV is accountable for poor treatment outcomes, treatment failure, or even death. It can affect patients' overall quality of life, leading to many social, economic, and clinical consequences. OBJECTIVE This study compared the performances of different data mining models for predicting the risk of CINV among the patients and developed a smartphone app for clinical decision support to recommend the risk of CINV at the point of care. METHODS Data were collected by retrospective record review from the electronic medical records used at the University of Missouri Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. Patients who received chemotherapy and standard antiemetics at the oncology outpatient service from June 1, 2010, to July 31, 2012, were included in the study. There were six independent data sets of patients based on emetogenicity (low, moderate, and high) and two phases of CINV (acute and delayed). A total of 14 risk factors of CINV were chosen for data mining. For our study, we used five popular data mining algorithms: (1) naive Bayes algorithm, (2) logistic regression classifier, (3) neural network, (4) support vector machine (using sequential minimal optimization), and (5) decision tree. Performance measures, such as accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity with 10-fold cross-validation, were used for model comparisons. A smartphone app called CINV Risk Prediction Application was developed using the ResearchKit in iOS utilizing the decision tree algorithm, which conforms to the criteria of explainable, usable, and actionable artificial intelligence. The app was created using both the bulk questionnaire approach and the adaptive approach. RESULTS The decision tree performed well in both phases of high emetogenic chemotherapies, with a significant margin compared to the other algorithms. The accuracy measure for the six patient groups ranged from 79.3% to 94.8%. The app was developed using the results from the decision tree because of its consistent performance and simple, explainable nature. The bulk questionnaire approach asks 14 questions in the smartphone app, while the adaptive approach can determine questions based on the previous questions' answers. The adaptive approach saves time and can be beneficial when used at the point of care. CONCLUSIONS This study solved a real clinical problem, and the solution can be used for personalized and precise evidence-based CINV management, leading to a better life quality for patients and reduced health care costs.

Abstract
Unguis incarnatus, an ingrown toenail, is a common condition in primary care, which is encountered by various medical professions. Inconsistent conservative treatment and nonindicated surgical treatment often result in complications and recurrence of the disease. Patients must be thoroughly informed about the complexity of the nail organ. This is a prerequisite to prevent trivialization of the disease and to achieve appropriate patient compliance for treatment. In this article a practical diagnostic and treatment algorithm for unguis incarnatus is presented. In mild cases of acute unguis incarnatus a consistent conservative treatment is the first-line strategy showing promising results. In cases of moderate to severe forms of acute unguis incarnatus, surgical procedures that preserve the nail matrix should be applied. For cases of chronic unguis incarnatus without an acute infection, elective partial matrixectomy can be indicated. Prior to any surgical intervention, detailed informed consent must be obtained from the patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors are routinely used in advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring EGFR mutations. However, their use is associated with gastrointestinal and cutaneous toxicities, including acneiform eruptions, pruritus, xerosis, nail and hair changes. Aside from reducing patients' quality of life, such cutaneous reactions have a considerable impact on the oncologic treatment given that dose reduction or even drug discontinuation may be necessary, especially for the severe forms. OBJECTIVES To assess the incidence, impact on treatment and management of EGFR inhibitor-related cutaneous reactions in patients with NSCLC. METHODS We conducted a prospective observational study on 87 consecutive patients with advanced NSCLC treated with EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors from January to December 2019. Patients who developed mucocutaneous reactions were evaluated and treated by both oncologists and dermatologists, and underwent dermatologic follow-up until resolution of the cutaneous reaction. Demographic and clinical data were collected for each patient, and the severity of the cutaneous reaction was graded using the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events. RESULTS Seventy-one patients (81.6%) developed cutaneous reactions. The number of cutaneous reactions per patient was 1 in 37%, 2 in 41% and 3 or more in 22%. The most common cutaneous reactions included acneiform eruptions (56.3%), xerosis ± asteatotic eczema (48.3%), nail changes (39.1%), mucositis (29.9%), pruritus (24.1%) and hair changes (12.6%). Afatinib was associated with a higher rate of nail changes and mucositis (p < 0.01 and p < 0.005, respectively) compared to other agents, while no patient-related predictive factors were identified. Dose reduction was performed in 18% of patients. Multidisciplinary management involving dermatologists allowed to resume the drug in all patients who had discontinued it due to the cutaneous reactions. CONCLUSIONS A multidisciplinary approach to EGFR inhibitor-related cutaneous reactions is advantageous and can reduce the need to discontinue oncologic treatment.

Abstract
Over the past 2 decades, rapid advancement in systemic anticancer therapeutics has led to astounding improvement in survival rates of patients with cancer. However, this celebrated progress has brought with it an evolving spectrum of drug toxicities that limit their prodigious capabilities. Cutaneous adverse events are of the most frequent of these toxicities, with substantial impact on quality of life and commonly resulting in dose reduction or change in therapy. Thus, familiarity with the array of dermatologic manifestations caused by these drugs is prudent for patient treatment. As such, the advent of dedicated oncodermatologists, and their introduction into multidisciplinary cancer care, has been crucial in optimizing treatment through therapeutic achievement and overall well-being. This review will address the epidemiology, clinical presentations, and management strategies of the major dermatologic adverse events of systemic anticancer agents, including cytotoxic chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.

Abstract
Background Dermatologic toxicities are the common adverse events (AE) with several chemotherapy agents, but they are usually neglected in the research literature and clinical practice, and there are no clinically safe and effective methods to solve the problem. This study was to determine whether a medicinal and edible decoction YH0618 is effective in accelerating reducing chemotherapy-induced dermatologic toxicity in cancer patients who have completed chemotherapy. Methods This was a prospective randomized controlled trial conducted between 2015 and 2017. Cancer patients who have completed chemotherapy (received taxanes or anthracyclines or fluoropyrimidine) within two weeks were enrolled and then they were randomly divided into YH0618 decoction group (n=104) and wait-list control (n=110). The primary end points were the incidence of protocol-specified grade ≥2 dermatologic toxicities after 6-week intervention assessed using the National Cancer Institute-Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI-CTCAE) Chinese version 4.0, and changes of fingernails color and skin color evaluated by L*a*b after 6 weeks of intervention. Secondary end points included assessment of quality of life (QOL) and fatigue, and some clinical objective indicators associated with myelosuppression, hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity. Results The study included 214 participants [mean (SD) age, 52.49 (9.08) years in YH0618 group and 50.44 (9.71) years in wait-list group]. At 6-week, YH0618 significantly reduced the incidence of grade ≥2 in nail discoloration [odds ratio (OR), 0.653; 95% CI, 0.5–0.9; P=0.005] and alopecia (OR, 0.776; 95% CI, 0.6–1.0; P=0.048) compared with control group. Besides, YH0618 increased the L* value and reduced the a* and b* values compared with control group, indicating that YH0618 increased the brightness and reduced hyperpigmentation. YH0618 also significantly reduced chemotherapy-induced fatigue (95% CI, 0.2–4.8; P=0.033). Conclusions YH0618 may be a safe method in ameliorating chemotherapy-induced dermatologic toxicity especially nail discoloration, alopecia and skin hyperpigmentation, and on improving fatigue. Trial registration The trial was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trials Registry, ChiCTR-IOR-15006486.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Acneiform eruption is the most common cutaneous adverse event associated with cetuximab. As it can affect quality of life and adversely affect chemotherapy schedule, additional medical care is required. OBJECTIVES To investigate the adherence to and the duration of antibiotic administration to treat cetuximab-induced acneiform eruption. METHODS Medical data of patients who were referred to the Department of Dermatology were reviewed from January 2013 to June 2018. Dermatologists assessed the severity of acneiform eruption and prescribed tetracycline-class antibiotics according to the severity every 2 or 4 weeks. We investigated the duration and amount of oral antibiotic administration and analyzed the factors that may affect the control of acneiform eruption statistically. RESULTS A total of 207 of 267 patients referred to the Department of Dermatology showed acneiform eruption; 124 patients were treated with minocycline, 34 patients with doxycycline, 27 patients with both, and 22 patients with topical agents. The mean duration of oral antibiotic medication was 82.7 days. A statistical analysis of the factors that prolonged the use of antibiotics for more than 90 days showed that male and younger age were risk factors. Shorter time interval from starting cetuximab to starting antibiotics was associated with longer duration of antibiotic use, statistically. CONCLUSIONS Cetuximab-induced acneiform eruption can be well controlled with tetracycline-class antibiotics in about 3 months. It can last longer in male and younger patients. The sooner and the more severe it appears, the longer it can last.

Abstract
Skin toxicity induced by gemcitabine, a chemotherapeutic agent, is not rare, but is usually mild. However, the occurrence of moderate to severe skin rash has been reported in patients treated with combinations of gemcitabine and other anticancer drugs. The aim of this study was to assess the characteristics of rash caused by gemcitabine-based chemotherapy. We analyzed 12 patients who developed maculopapular rash over more than 10% of their body surface following gemcitabine-based chemotherapy. Maculopapular rash appeared at 6.3 ± 1.3 days after the first administration in eight patients and the second administration in four patients. In two patients, the rash was localized on the lateral aspect of the trunk. The other 10 patients showed various degrees of rash on the chest and abdomen, in addition to the lateral aspect of the trunk. However, rash was absent on the upper and middle back in almost all patients. After the rash disappeared, gemcitabine was re-administrated in eight patients. They continued the therapy with no or only mild rash relapse. In conclusion, maculopapular rash caused by gemcitabine-based chemotherapy shows biased distribution to frontal and lateral sites of the trunk, which may be informative for consecutive chemotherapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cancer remains the second major cause of death in the United States over the last decade. Chemotherapy is a core component of nearly every cancer treatment plan. Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV) are the two most dreadful and unpleasant side-effects of chemotherapy for cancer patients. Several patient-specific factors affect the risk of CINV. However, none of the guidelines consider those factors. Not all of the patients have the similar emetic risk of CINV. Despite the improvements in CINV management, as many as two-thirds of chemotherapy patients still experience some degree of CINV. As a result, physicians use their personal experiences for CINV treatment, which leads to inconsistent managements of CINV. OBJECTIVE The overall objective of this study is to improve the prevention of CINV using precise, personalized and evidence-based antiemetic treatment before chemotherapy. In CINV prediction, one of the interesting factors is that CINV has two distinct and complex pathophysiologic phases: acute and delayed. In addition, the risk factors and their associations are different for different emetogenic chemotherapies (e.g., low, moderate, and high). There are six contexts considering the combination of phases and emetogenicity levels. This will require the creation of six different models. Instead, our objective was to describe a single framework named "prediction engine" that can perform prediction query without losing the sensitivity to each context. The prediction engine discovers how the patient-related variables and the emetogenecity of chemotherapy are associated with the risk of CINV for each phase. METHODS This was a single-center retrospective study. The data were collected by retrospective record review from the electronic medical record system used at the University of Missouri Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. An association rule-based dynamic and context-sensitive Prediction Engine has been developed. Physicians receive feedback about CINV risks of patients from the CINV decision support system based on patient-specific factors. RESULTS The prediction performance of the system outperformed many popular prediction methods and all the results of CINV risk prediction published in the literature. Best prediction performance was achieved using the rule-ranking approach. The accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity were 87.85 %, 87.54 %, and 88.2 %, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The system used the patient-specific risk factors for making personalized treatment recommendations for CINV. It solved a real clinical problem that will shorten the gap between clinical practices and evidence-based guidelines for CINV management leading to the practice of personalized and precise treatment recommendation, better life quality of patient, and reduced healthcare cost. The approach presented in this article can be applied to any other clinical predictions.

Abstract
Drug reactions resulting from chemotherapy agents are common and frequently affect the skin. Although often benign, a select few of these cutaneous reactions may necessitate immediate changes to the antineoplastic regimens. Given the diversity of chemotherapeutic skin reactions and their complex implications on patient management, an organized conceptual schema is imperative for proper patient care. We evaluate a number of commonly seen chemotherapy-induced skin toxicities organized by pathogenic mechanism and drug class, providing a framework for the identification and categorization of adverse events to prevent unrecognition. Groupings of these reactions include direct cytotoxicity and/or drug accumulation, immunologic hypersensitivity, and aberrant molecular signaling.

Abstract
Adverse event reports submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) were analyzed to map the safety profile of epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs). We conducted a disproportionality analysis of the adverse events (AEs) of EGFR-TKIs (gefitinib, erlotinib, afatinib, osimertinib) by data mining using the FDA adverse event reporting system (AERS) database, and by calculating the reporting odds ratios (ROR) with 95% confidence intervals. The FDA AERS database contained 27,123 EGFR-TKI-associated AERs within the reporting period from January 1, 2004 to March 31, 2018. Thirty-three preferred terms (PTs) were selected for analysis, and significant RORs were most commonly observed in the skin, nail, gastrointestinal tract, hepatic, eyes, and lungs. Unexpected adverse drug reactions were found in the “intestinal obstruction” and “hypokalaemia” in gefitinib and erlotinib, “hyponatraemia” in gefitinib, erlotinib and afatinib, “alopecia”in erlotinib, “hair growth abnormal” in afatinib, but not in “nausea” and “vomiting” listed on drug labels. The results of this study are consistent with clinical observation, suggesting the usefulness of pharmacovigilance research should be corroborated with the real-world FAERS data.

Abstract
Many studies have investigated cutaneous reactions to antitumor drugs and found them to be quite numerous. We describe drug eruptions that may be associated with different therapies by class: antimetabolite chemotherapeutics, genotoxic agents, spindle inhibitors, signal transduction inhibitors, and immunotherapies. Methotrexate is most often associated with mucocutaneous reactions, alkylating antimetabolite agents with hyperpigmentation, and platinum antimetabolite agents with type I IgE-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Anthracycline derivatives can induce the hand-foot syndrome in patients, and bleomycin is associated with a bleomycin-induced flagellate erythema. Taxane spindle inhibitors can result in acneiform eruptions, which may also be seen with use of epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors. Imatinib and its derivatives can cause a truncal maculopapular eruption, whereas multikinase inhibitors can produce a hand-foot-skin reaction. Vemurafenib can result in squamous cell carcinomas and photosensitivity. First-generation mammalian target of rapamycin inhibitors may cause a maculopapular eruption initially involving the face and neck. Programmed death (PD)-1-ligand and receptor inhibitors are associated with bullous pemphigoid. Ipilimumab, targeting Cytotoxic -T- Lymphocyte- associated (CTLA-4) receptors, can cause a morbilliform reaction, whereas Interleukin -2 (IL-2) analogs can create the capillary leak syndrome. Chemotherapeutic drug eruptions classically can manifest in the aforementioned ways; however, it is important to understand that they are associated with myriad cutaneous adverse effects, which may be mistaken for organic skin disease. Oncologists prescribing these medications should be familiar with the cutaneous side effects of these medications, and so they may counsel patients to be on the lookout for them.

BACKGROUND Determinants and the extent of dry skin in healthy middle-aged and elderly populations have not been well established. OBJECTIVE We aimed to identify the prevalence and determinants for generalized dry skin (GDS) and localized dry skin (LDS) within a large prospective population-based cohort of middle-aged and elderly individuals of the Rotterdam Study. METHODS Dry skin was physician-graded as none, localized, or generalized. For GDS and LDS, separate multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed to search for association with participant characteristics, lifestyle factors, environmental factors, several comorbidities, and drug exposure. RESULTS Among the 5547 eligible participants, 60% had dry skin, of whom a fifth had GDS. Age, female sex, skin color, body mass index, outside temperature, eczema, and chemotherapy in the past were significant determinants for both GDS and LDS. Smoking, the use of statins and diuretics, poorer self-perceived health, and several dermatologic conditions increased the likelihood of having GDS only. Daily cream use was associated with less LDS. LIMITATIONS Interobserver variability and residual confounding could have influenced our results. Because of our cross-sectional design, we could not infer causality. CONCLUSION We identified factors significantly associated with dry skin in a general middle-aged and elderly population, with health parameters more strongly associated with GDS.

Abstract
Cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Recent improved therapies have resulted in more patients surviving cancer and living longer. Despite these advances, the majority of patients will develop adverse events from anticancer therapies. Foot alterations, including nail toxicities, hand-foot syndrome, edema, xerosis, hyperkeratosis, and neuropathy, are frequent among cancer patients. These untoward conditions may negatively impact quality of life, and in some cases may result in the interruption or discontinuation of cancer treatments. Appropriate prevention, diagnosis, and management of podiatric adverse events are essential to maintain foot function and health-related quality of life, both of which are critical for the care of cancer patients and survivors. This article shows results related to complaint and impact on quality of life of the Oncology Foot Care program and reviews publications specific to podiatric adverse events related to cancer treatments.

Abstract
Introduction The purpose of this multicenter, prospective, observational, open-label study was to evaluate the use and tolerability of dermo-cosmetic products in preventing skin reactions associated with cancer treatments. Patients and methods A 12-product kit was supplied to patients before chemotherapy began and was to be used throughout the treatment phase. Cutaneous adverse events were evaluated at each treatment session. Physicians evaluated skin reactions (edema, erythema, dryness, desquamation, pigmentation disorders, and cracks) and gave their opinion on the skin benefit for patients at the end of the study. Patients also evaluated the product benefit using the Patient Benefit Index (PBI) questionnaire. Results were analyzed by subgroups of casual and regular users, based on number and frequency of products used. Results A total of 147 patients were enrolled in cancer services in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Canada. Mean age was 59 years with 71% being female. Product tolerance on whole body was rated good to excellent for at least 89% of the patients for each product. Aggravated skin reactions during the study were reported more frequently by casual users than regular users (39.5% versus 22%; p=0.029). Similarly, casual users reported more erythema aggravation (p=0.02) and desquamation (p=0.03) than regular users. PBI >1 was reported for 95.5% of patients and regular users had significantly higher scores than casual users (p=0.049). Discussion Overall, the 12-product kit was very well tolerated, with regular users reporting benefits more frequently than casual users. Results support international recommendations to use appropriate skin care products to minimize the impact of cutaneous reactions associated with chemotherapy.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the relationship between the onsets of multikinase inhibitor (MKI)-associated hand-foot skin reaction (HFSR) and prognosis under intervention by pharmacists after the introduction of sorafenib.
METHODS We conducted a retrospective study involving 40 patients treated with sorafenib. Intervention by pharmacists began at the time of treatment introduction and continued until the appearance of symptomatic exacerbation or non-permissible adverse reactions. We examined the relationship between MKI-associated HFSR and overall survival (OS) after the initiation of treatment.
RESULTS The median OS was 10.9 mo in the MKI-associated HFSR group and 3.4 mo in the no HFSR group, showing a significant difference in multivariate analysis. A multivariate analysis of the time to treatment failure indicated that the intervention by pharmacists and MKI-associated HFSR were significant factors. The median cumulative dose and the mean medication possession ratio were significantly higher in the intervention group than in the non-intervention group. A borderline significant difference was observed in terms of OS in this group.
CONCLUSION Intervention by pharmacists increased drug adherence. Under increased adherence, MKI-associated HFSR was an advantageous surrogate marker. Intervention by healthcare providers needs to be performed for adequate sorafenib treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Internal malignancies such as breast cancer, as well as their treatment can often result in skin changes. OBJECTIVE To assess the prevalence of dermatological complaints in patients who are undergoing oncological treatment for breast cancer in a hospital in Tubarão, Santa Catarina, Brazil. METHODS Observational, cross-sectional study, from October 2015 to February 2016 in which 152 patients with the diagnosis of breast cancer, undergoing treatment with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy and/or surgery, were interviewed and completed a research protocol developed by the author. RESULTS The treatment of breast cancer was associated with dermatological complaints in 94.1% of the interviewed, being with hair loss the most frequent, present in 79.6% of the sample, followed by nail changes (56%). Patients with lighter skin phototypes (I, II and III) had a lower risk (p=0.045) of developing skin changes when compared to darker phototypes. Radiation therapy (p=0.011) and oncological surgery (pFisher=0.004) were statistically significant when related to skin changes. STUDY LIMITATIONS Inherent to the design of the study, as well as recall bias. CONCLUSIONS It was found that most patients diagnosed with breast cancer showed dermatologic manifestations during the proposed cancer treatment. Patients undergoing radiotherapy and surgery showed skin changes with greater statistical significance.

Abstract
Adverse events and adverse drug reactions are common in clinical practice. Side effects range from the common to the rare and may be confused with other mucocutaneous manifestations resulting from several medications to treat infections, other medical conditions, and in the clinical setting of oncologic treatment. The objective of this chapter to review current data on adverse drug reactions, here classified as (i) severe adverse drug reactions, (ii) uncomplicated cutaneous adverse drug reactions, and (iii) adverse drug reactions caused by chemotherapy drugs, particularly those cases whereby the dermatologist is requested to issue a report and asked to comment on the safety and viability of readministration of a specific drug. We describe aspects associated with these events, presenting a detailed analysis of each of them.

Abstract
BACKGROUND: One of the treatments for leukaemia is chemotherapy. Side effects and toxicity of this treatment can be seen on the skin, adnexal, and mucous membranes. They might increase potential hydrogen (pH) value on the skin surface, therefore, disrupting epidermal barrier defences. AIM: To describe the pH of the skin in children with leukaemia who received chemotherapy. SUBJECT AND METHOD: This study was an observational descriptive, cross-sectional study, conducted from March until December 2016 with 32 children with leukaemia who treated at Haji Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan as subjects. Skin pH was measured by a pH meter. RESULT: We found mean skin pH in ALL (6.28 ± 0.58), CML (5.9 ± 0) and AML (6.5 ± 0.50). The mean skin pH after 1-5 weeks of chemotherapy was 6.13 ± 0.49, at 6-10 weeks (6.32 ± 0.51), and at 11-15 weeks (7.12 ± 0.36). The mean skin pH of patients with two drugs (5.98 ± 0.44), four drugs (6.28 ± 0.55), and six drugs (6.63 ± 0.56). CONCLUSION: The highest mean of skin pH were obtained in AML group, 11-15 weeks length of chemotherapy and group with six drugs regimen.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The discovery of signaling networks that drive oncogenic processes has led to the development of targeted anticancer agents. The burden of pigmentary adverse events from these drugs is unknown. OBJECTIVE To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of published clinical trials and determine the incidence and risk of development of targeted therapy-induced pigmentary changes. METHODS A comprehensive search was conducted to identify studies reporting targeted therapy-induced pigmentary changes. The incidence and relative risk were calculated. Case reports and series were reviewed to understand clinical characteristics. RESULTS A total of 8052 patients from 36 clinical trials were included. The calculated overall incidences of targeted cancer therapy-induced all-grade pigmentary changes in the skin and hair were 17.7% (95% confidence interval [CI], 11.9-25.4) and 21.5% (95% CI, 14.9-30.1), respectively. The relative risk of all-grade pigmentary changes of skin and hair were 93.7 (95% CI, 5.86-1497.164) and 20.1 (95% CI, 8.35-48.248). Across 53 case reports/series (N = 75 patients), epidermal growth factor receptor and breakpoint cluster region-abelson inhibitors were the most common offending agents. LIMITATIONS Potential under-reporting and variability in oncologists reporting these events. CONCLUSION There is a significant risk of development of pigmentary changes during treatment with targeted anticancer therapies. Appropriate counseling and management are critical to minimize psychosocial impairment and deterioration in quality of life.

Abstract
The introduction of targeted therapies in cancer treatment was accompanied with promising results including tumor control and patients survival benefits. However, these drugs just like their predecessors were associated with systemic side effects, including frequent and various cutaneous effects. Targeted therapies such as epidermal growth factor receptor, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, kit, platelet-derived growth factor receptor, and BCR-ABL inhibitors as well as mammalian target of rapamycin inhibitors can induce cutaneous toxicities of varying severity. There are scarce studies on the actual impact of these toxicities on the patients' lives including the physical, social, and psychological aspects and overall quality of life. Patient's perspective in living with and beyond these toxicities remains largely uncharted but essential in optimizing care provided to those receiving treatment with targeted therapies.

Abstract
Taxanes (docetaxel and paclitaxel) are among the most commonly prescribed anticancer drugs approved for the treatment of metastatic or locally advanced breast, non-small cell lung, prostate, gastric, head and neck, and ovarian cancers, as well as in the adjuvant setting for operable node-positive breast cancers. Although the true incidence of dermatological adverse events (AEs) in patients receiving taxanes is not known, and has never been prospectively analysed, they clearly represent one of the major AEs associated with these agents. With an increase in the occurrence of cutaneous AEs during treatment with novel targeted and immunological therapies when used in combination with taxanes, a thorough understanding of reactions attributable to this class is imperative. Moreover, identification and management of dermatological AEs is critical for maintaining the quality of life in cancer patients and for minimizing dose modifications of their antineoplastic regimen. This analysis represents a systematic review of the dermatological conditions reported with the use of these drugs, complemented by experience at comprehensive cancer centres. The conditions reported herein include skin, hair, and nail toxicities. Lastly, we describe the dermatological data available for the new, recently FDA-and EMA- approved, solvent-free nab-paclitaxel.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The common adverse effects associated with targeted therapy for cancer, such as epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors (EGFRIs), are dermatologic toxicities that cause the patient physical discomfort and affect treatment. Colloidal oatmeal lotion (COL) has been proven to help prevent dermatitis and xerosis. Evidence of its effect on EGFRI-induced dermatologic toxicities, however, is limited. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of COL on EGFRI-induced dermatologic toxicities. DESIGN AND SETTING This study used a 1-group pretest-posttest design with a convenience sample of 30 patients with cancer who developed EGFRI-induced dermatologic toxicities from a medical center in southern Taiwan. All participants applied topical COL 3 to 5 times a day for 4 consecutive weeks and received a pretest and 4 posttests. OUTCOME MEASURES A generalized estimating equation was used to assess the impact of demographics, disease characteristics, and weeks of COL use on dermatologic toxicity severity, body surface area affected, and level of pruritus. MAIN RESULTS Significant differences were found between the pretest and all posttests after using COL with regard to the severity, body surface area affected, and level of pruritus in participants who developed EGFRI-induced dermatologic toxicities (P < .05). There were no significant differences in demographics or disease characteristics on EGFRI-induced dermatologic toxicities. CONCLUSIONS Based on the study results, COL could improve the symptoms of dermatologic toxicities in those receiving EGFRIs with no adverse effects. Therefore, the authors suggest the use of COL in clinical settings.

Abstract
Hand-foot skin reaction (HFSR) is a common side effect of multiple tyrosine kinase inhibitors (mTKIs). HFSR can necessitate dose reductions or interruption of therapy owing to its negative effect on the quality of life. Therefore, effective use of mTKIs requires measures to prevent HFSR. We evaluated the effect of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) on HFSR, because PGE1 is already used to treat bed sores and skin ulcers and has established angiogenic and antiproliferative effects in keratinocytes. We found that the pathogenesis of sorafenib-induced HFSR is characterized by a decrease in levels of a phosphorylated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). We investigated the effect of PGE1 on the sorafenib-mediated reduction in phosphorylated STAT3 levels in HaCaT human epidermal keratinocytes. In cells treated with sorafenib, phosphorylated STAT3 levels decreased in a concentration-dependent manner, and this effect was blocked in cells treated with sorafenib and PGE1. Furthermore, the expression of phosphorylated STAT3, the antiapoptotic proteins myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1) and survivin decreased in cells pretreated with an inhibitor of cAMP response element binding protein (CREB). Cell viability increased in cells treated with sorafenib and PGE1 compared with that in cells treated with sorafenib alone, and these effects were not observed in STAT3 knockdown HaCaT cells. Collectively, these findings indicate that PGE1 blocks the inhibitory effects of sorafenib on cell growth by maintaining the activity of STAT3 and enhancing the CREB activity. Therefore, PGE1 might represent an effective treatment for the prevention of sorafenib-induced HFSR.

Abstract
Introduction Cutaneous side effects caused by epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors occurred in 45–100% of patients which may lead to therapy modification or interruption. This study aimed to evaluate cutaneous side effects and transepidermal water loss (TEWL) values in non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) patients who received gefitinib EGFR inhibitor. Methods A descriptive observational study with cross-sectional design and a consecutive sampling method was conducted from 1 February to 4 March 2016. Eleven NSCLC patients with EGFR mutation who visited the Hemato-Oncology Clinic/Internal Medicine Department, Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Bandung, Indonesia, were assessed through history taking, physical examination, and TEWL examination using Tewameter. Results Ten of the eleven patients experienced cutaneous side effects. The most frequently observed was xerosis cutis (8/10 patients), followed by acneiform eruptions (7/10 patients), and paronychia (3/10 patients). None of these patients experienced hair changes, mucositis, or drug hypersensitivity. Mean TEWL value of these patients was higher than normal (11.205 ± 1.881 g/m2/h). Conclusions Patients who received gefitinib EGFR inhibitor experienced cutaneous side effects including xerosis cutis, acneiform eruptions, and paronychia, and have mean TEWL values higher than normal. Therefore, it might affect the skin barrier function. Abstract
Drug-induced reticulate hyperpigmentation is uncommon. Including the patient described in this report, chemotherapy-associated reticulate hyperpigmentation has only been described in ten individuals. This paper describes the features of a woman with recurrent and metastatic breast cancer who developed paclitaxel-induced reticulate hyperpigmentation and reviews the characteristics of other oncology patients who developed reticulate hyperpigmentation from their antineoplastic treatment. A 55-year-old Taiwanese woman who developed reticulate hyperpigmentation on her abdomen, back and extremities after receiving her initial treatment for metastatic breast cancer with paclitaxel is described. The hyperpigmentation became darker with each subsequent administration of paclitaxel. The drug was discontinued after five courses and the pigment faded within two months. PubMed was searched with the key words: Breast, cancer, chemotherapy, hyperpigmentation, neoplasm, reticulate, tumor, paclitaxel, taxol. The papers generated by the search, and their references, were reviewed. Chemotherapy-induced reticulate hyperpigmentation has been described in four men and six women. Bleomycin, cytoxan, 5-fluorouracil, idarubacin, and paclitaxel caused the hyperpigmentation. The hyperpigmentation faded in 83% of the patients between two to six months after the associated antineoplastic agent was discontinued. In conclusion, chemotherapy-induced reticulate hyperpigmentation is a rare reaction that may occur during treatment with various antineoplastic agents. The hyperpigmentation fades in most individuals once the treatment is discontinued. Therefore, cancer treatment with the associated drug can be continued in patients who experience this cutaneous adverse event.

Abstract
Drug reactions and systemic diseases often involve the skin. In particular, most drug-induced reactions and many infectious diseases present with dermatologic manifestations localized acrally, that is on distal portions of limbs (hand, foot) and head (ears, nose). A detailed review of all acral dermatologic signs of drug reactions and systemic diseases is beyond the scope of this paper, although some of these disorders will be discussed specifically here.

Abstract
Background The incidence of cancer has been staying at a high level worldwide in recent years. With advances in cancer diagnosis and therapy strategy, the survival rate of patients with cancer has been increasing, but the side effects of these treatments, especially chemotherapy, are obvious even when the chemotherapy ceases. YH0618, a prescription, has showed efficacy in reducing chemotherapy-induced toxicity through long clinical practice. However, there is no scientific research exploring the effects of YH0618 in patients with cancer. Therefore, using a randomized controlled trial, this study will explore the efficacy of YH0618 on ameliorating chemotherapy-induced toxicity including dermatologic toxicity, myelosuppression, hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity and improving fatigue in cancer patients who have completed chemotherapy. Methods/design This is a prospective assessor-blinded, parallel, randomized controlled trial. Patients with cancer at any stage who have completed chemotherapy within two weeks will be randomly divided into group A (YH0618) and group B (wait-list) using a 1:1 allocation ratio. The chemotherapeutic agents include taxanes or anthracyclines. Subjects assigned to group A will receive YH0618 soup 6 days a week for 6 weeks and uncontrolled follow-up for 6 weeks, while group B are required to wait for 6 weeks before receiving YH0618 intervention. The primary outcome of this study is the incidence of protocol-specified grade ≥2 dermatologic toxicities graded by NCI CTCAE Chinese version 4.0 and changes of fingernail color, face skin color and tongue color evaluated by the L*a*b system within 6 weeks. There are some secondary outcomes associated with dermatologic toxicity including fatigue and clinical objective examination. Discussion There are few scientific and safe methods in ameliorating chemotherapy-induced toxicity. The proposed study may provide direct and convincing evidence to support YH0618 as an adjuvant treatment for reducing chemotherapy-induced toxicity, which could be introduced into clinical settings.
