Abstract
Bemisia tabaci poses a severe threat to plants, and the control of B. tabaci mainly relies on pesticides, which causes more and more rapidly increasing resistance. β-Caryophyllene is a promising ingredient for agricultural pest control, but its feature of poor water solubility need to be improved in practical applications. Nanotechnology can enhance the effectiveness and dispersion of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In this study, a nanoliposome carrier was constructed by ethanol injection and ultrasonic dispersion method, and β-caryophyllene was wrapped inside it, thus solving the defect of poor solubility of β-caryophyllene. The size of the β-caryophyllene nanoliposomes (C-BT-NPs) was around 200 nm, with the absolute value of the zeta potential exceeding 30 mV and a PDI below 0.5. The stability was also maintained over a 14-d storage period. C-BT-NPs showed effective insecticidal activity against B. tabaci, with an LC50 of 1.51 g/L, outperforming thiamethoxam and offering efficient agricultural pest control. Furthermore, C-BT-NPs had minimal short-term impact on the growth of tomato plants, indicating that they are safety on plants. Therefore, the VOCs using nanoliposome preparation technology show promise in reducing reliance on conventional pesticides and present new approaches to managing agricultural pests.

Abstract
Melamine is a recognized food contaminant that can arise incidentally or intentionally in specific categories of food. This study aimed to validate the melamine detection and quantification in infant formula and milk powders and also analyzed 40 samples consist of infant formula and milk powders from commercially available food products, from different geographic regions of Iran. The approximate content of melamine in samples was measured by High-performance liquid chromatography-ultra violet (HPLC-UV) system. A calibration curve (R2 = 0.9925) was established for detection of melamine in the range of 0.1-1.2 μg mL-1. Limit of quantification and limit of detection were 1 μg mL-1 and 3 μg mL-1, respectively. The presence of melamine in infant formula and milk powdered was investigated and it was observed that the amount of melamine in samples of infant formulas and milk powders was 0.001-0.095 mg kg-1 and 0.001-0.004 mg kg-1, respectively. These values were found to be within the prescribed limits by the European Union and Codex Alimentarius Commission legislation. It is important to note that the consumption of these dairy products, which contain low content of melamine, does not pose any significant threat to consumer health. Furthermore, the results of the risk assessment confirmed this issue.

Abstract
The presence of melamine in food is one of the most significant threats to consumer health and food safety now confronting the communities. The goal of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to determine the melamine content of different food products available on the Iranian market. The pooled melamine concentration (95% confidence interval) on 484 samples of animal-based foodstuffs was as follows: 0.22 (0.08, 0.36 mg kg-1) for milk, 0.39 (0.25, 0.53 mg kg-1) for coffee mate, 1.45 (1.36, 1.54 mg kg-1) for dairy cream, 0.90 (0.50, 1.29 mg kg-1) for yoghurt, 1.25 (1.20, 1.29 mg kg-1) for cheese, 0.81 (-0.16, 1.78 mg kg-1) for hen eggs, 1.28 (1.25, 1.31 mg kg-1) for poultry meat, 0.58 (0.35, 0.80 mg kg-1) for chocolates, and 0.98 (0.18, 1.78 mg kg-1) for infant formula. Based on the results of health risk assessment study on toddlers under 2 years old who ingested infant formula (as a melamine-sensitive group), all groups of toddlers are at an acceptable level of non-carcinogenic risk (THQ ≤ 1). Toddlers were classified according to their ILCR (carcinogenic risk) levels due to infant formula consumption as follows: under 6 months (0.0000056), 6-12 months (0.0000077), 12-18 months (0.0000102), and 18-24 months (0.0000117). The melamine carcinogenicity in infant formula for children had an ILCR value of 0.000001-0.0001 in the investigation, which was considerable risk. According to the findings, Iranian food products (notably infant formula) should be analyzed for melamine contamination on a regular basis.

Abstract
In this research, a simple, label-free, and ultra-sensitive fluorescent platform based on a metal-organic framework (MOF) has been developed to detect melamine in milk powder. This fluorescence sensor was fabricated from sensitized terbium (Tb)@NH2-MIL-253 (Al) MOF using a hydrothermal method that involved combining the green emission of Tb (λem = 545 nm) with the blue emission of NH2-MIL-253(Al) MOF (λem = 430 nm) under a single excitation wavelength (λex = 335 nm). The fluorescence sensor was then used under optimized conditions (pH = 9.0; sensor concentration = 30 mg/L; response time = 30 s) to quantify melamine in milk powder. The accuracy, sensitivity, and reproducibility of this sensor were established compared to the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method. The linear range and lower limit of detection (LLOD, computed with 3σ/S) of the sensor were between 40-396.45 nM (equal to 25 µg/kg-0.25 mg/kg) and 40 nM (equal to 25 µg/kg), respectively, which is much less than the maximum residual level (MRL) for the detection of melamine in infant formula (1 mg/kg) and other foods/feeds (2.5 mg/kg). Additionally, the results had good agreement with the HPLC outcomes, suggesting that the NH2-MIL-253(Al) MOF sensing probe has great precision and repeatability. To conclude, the new fluorescence sensor developed in this study can accurately and sensitively detect melamine in food samples, which may be useful for screening for adulteration of milk powders and other foods.

Abstract
Protein is one of the most important biological macromolecules in life, which plays a vital role in cell growth, development, movement, heredity, reproduction and other life activities. High quality isolation and purification is an essential step in the study of the structure and function of target proteins. Therefore, the development of protein purification technologies has great theoretical and practical significance in exploring the laws of life activities and guiding production practice. Up to now, there is no forthcoming method to extract any proteins from a complex system, and the field of protein purification still faces significant opportunities and challenges. Conventional protein purification generally includes three steps: pretreatment, rough fractionation, and fine fractionation. Each of the steps will significantly affect the purity, yield and the activity of target proteins. The present review focuses on the principle and process of protein purification, recent advances, and the applications of these technologies in the life and health industry as well as their far-reaching impact, so as to promote the research of protein structure and function, drug development and precision medicine, and bring new insights to researchers in related fields.

Abstract
Excessive intake of melamine (MEL) can be harmful to human health, and it is important to establish a rapid and accurate MEL detection method. As the electrochemical activity of MEL is very low, ferrocenylglutathione (Fc-ECG) was used as an electron transfer mediator to assist with the detection of MEL using screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE). This modified electrode (MEL/Fc-ECG/SPCE) was prepared by stepwise drop-casting and was fully characterized. Results showed that MEL significantly enhanced signal of Fc-ECG/SPCE sensor due to the three p-π conjugated double bonds that facilitated electron transfer. Under optimal conditions, the sensor exhibits two linearities in the range of 0.20-2.00 μM and 8.00-800 μM, with a sensitivity of 15.03 μA·μM-1·cm-2. The selectivity, stability, and reproducibility were investigated and successfully used to detect MEL in raw milk and confirms safety verification of foods. Moreover, a portable testing platform was designed for MEL detection based on a CH32 chip.

Abstract
Preparing samples for analyses is perhaps the most important part to analyses. The varied functional groups present on the surface of biopolymers bestow them appropriate adsorption properties. Properties like biocompatibility, biodegradability, presence of different surface functional group, high porosity, considerable absorption capacity for water, the potential for modification, etc. turn biopolymers to promising candidates for varied applications. In addition, one of the most important parts of determination of an analyte in a matrix is sample preparation step and the efficiency of this step in solid phase extraction methods is largely dependent on the type of adsorbent used. Due to the unique properties of biopolymers they are considered an appropriate choice for using as sorbent in sample preparation methods that use from a solid adsorbent. Many review articles have been published on the application of diverse adsorbents in sample preparation methods, however despite the numerous advantages of biopolymers mentioned; review articles in this field are very few. Thus, in this paper we review the reports in different areas of sample preparation that use polysaccharides-based biopolymers as sorbents for extraction and determination of diverse organic and inorganic analytes.

Abstract
Catalase is a metalloenzyme commonly found in almost all plant and animal tissues and catalyzes the conversion of hydrogen peroxide to less reactive molecules. It is used for the elimination of hydrogen peroxide in biological, biomedical, food and textile applications. For this purpose, a novel affinity sorbent [poly(methacrylic acid- N-isopropyl acrylamide-CB-Fe3+, (p(MAA-NIPAAM)-CB-Fe3+)] for the determination and it was first developed using MAA and NIPAAM monomers. After characterization with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), adsorption parameters were determined. Reusability of p(MAA-NIPAAM)-CB-Fe3+ sorbent was determined after by determining the appropriate desorption agent for desorption of adsorbed catalase in the developed sorbent. It was determined that catalase adsorption could be performed with 0.01 g of sorbent in 45 min. The maximum adsorption capacity for catalase adsorption was determined as 243.17 mg/g with the use of sorbent. The operational and storage stability of the immobilized catalase was found to be high as expected. The conversion of H2O2 can be successfully performed by the immobilized enzyme in the prepared sorbent. It has been proven that the affinity of catalase for its substrate is increased by immobilization.
