Abstract
Water pollution caused by dyes has become a focal point of attention. Among them, the heterogeneous Fenton reaction has emerged as an effective solution to this problem. In this study, we designed a ferric alginate gel (PAGM) tri-modified with poly(vinyl alcohol), graphene oxide, and MoS2 as a heterogeneous Fenton catalyst for organic dye degradation. PAGM addresses the drawbacks of alginate gel, such as poor mechanical properties and gel chain dissolution, thereby significantly extending the catalyst's lifespan. The removal rate of rhodamine B by PAGM reached 95.5 % within 15 min, which was 5.9 times higher than that of unmodified ferric alginate gel. Furthermore, due to the π-π interactions, PAGM exhibits unique adsorption properties for pollutants containing benzene rings. Additionally, PAGM can be regenerated multiple times through a simple soaking procedure without any performance degradation. Finally, the reaction column constructed with PAGM maintained an 83.5 % removal rate even after 319 h of continuous wastewater treatment. This work introduces a novel concept for the study of alginate-based gel catalysts in heterogeneous Fenton reactions.

Abstract
Biogranulation has emerged as a viable alternative biological wastewater treatment approach because of its strong biodegradability potential, toxicity tolerance, and biomass retention features. However, this process requires a long duration for biogranules formation to occur. In this study, magnetic powder activated carbon (MPAC) was used as support material in a sequencing batch reactor to enhance biogranules development for wastewater treatment. Two parallel SBRs (designated R1 and R2) were used, with R1 serving as a control without the presence of MPAC while R2 was operated with MPAC. The biodegradability capacity and biomass properties of MPAC biogranules were compared with a control system. The measured diameter of biogranules for R1 and R2 after 8 weeks of maturation were 2.2 mm and 3.4 mm, respectively. The integrity coefficient of the biogranules in R2 was higher (8.3%) than that of R1 (13.4%), indicating that the addition of MPAC improved the structure of the biogranules in R2. The components of extracellular polymeric substances were also higher in R2 than in R1. Scanning electronic microscopy was able to examine the morphological structures of the biogranules which showed there were irregular formations compacted together. However, there were more cavities situated in R1 biogranules (without MPAC) when compared to R2 biogranules (with MPAC). Dye removal reached 65% and 83% in R1 and R2 in the post-development stage. This study demonstrates that the addition of MPAC could shorten and improve biogranules formation. MPAC acted as the support media for microbial growth during the biogranulation developmental process.

Abstract
In this study, we investigated the use of pipe growth rings from water distribution networks as a catalyst in heterogeneous Fenton-like oxidation processes. The major constituents of real pipe growth rings (α- and γ-FeOOH) were prepared and considered as a simulated growth ring (SGR). Its performance in removing 5-bromosalicylic acid (5-BSA), a novel phenolic halogenated disinfection byproduct, was examined. SGR exhibited strong catalytic ability and a certain degree of adsorption capacity. Under acidic conditions, the adsorption and oxidation efficiencies were 32.65% and 87.67%, respectively. Furthermore, 72.19% of 5-BSA could be oxidized even at pH0 of 7. Kinetic characterizations at various temperatures revealed that both the adsorption and catalytic oxidation processes followed pseudo-second-order kinetic models and were surface-controlled with high activation energies (31.26 and 23.58 kJ mol-1, respectively). Ecotoxicity analyses of the transformation products (TPs) showed that the SGR/H2O2 system could effectively reduce the toxicity of 5-BSA. Moreover, the number of iron ions leaching from SGR was below 0.1 mg L-1 in all experiments. The results of this study support further investigation of using real pipe growth rings in off-line water treatment, as well water network contamination remediation.

Abstract
AbstractRecently, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have received considerable attention as highly efficient adsorbents for dye wastewater remediation. However, the immobilization of MOFs on the substrate surfaces to fabricate easy recyclable adsorbents via a facile route is still a challenge. In this work, ZIF-67/cotton fibers as adsorbents for dye removal were prepared in a large-scale using a simple coordination replication method. The successful fabrication of the ZIF-67/cotton fibers was confirmed by FTIR, XRD, XPS, SEM and BET analysis, respectively. As expected, the as-prepared ZIF-67/cotton fibers exhibited high adsorption capacity of 3787 mg/g towards malachite green (MG). Meanwhile, the adsorption kinetics and isotherm obeyed the pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir model, respectively. Moreover, its removal efficiency towards MG was not significantly influenced by the pH and ionic strength of aqueous solution. Most importantly, the ZIF-67/cotton fibers can remove MG from synthetic effluents, and it can be easily regenerated without filtration or centrifugation processes, with the regeneration efficiency remaining over 90% even after 10 cycles. Additionally, the ZIF-67/cotton fibers presented excellent antimicrobial performance against E. coli and S. aureus. Hence, the distinctive features of the as-prepared ZIF-67/cotton fibers make it promisingly applicable for the colored wastewater treatment.

Abstract
This study investigated the dye decolorization capacity of three yeast strains. Cyberlindnera fabianii was shortlisted for its high decolorization capacity and was further tested on various azo dyes. Based on the color of the biomass, and the UV-Vis analysis, Acid Red 14 was selected as a model dye, to examine the enzymatic biodegradation. The results showed significant increase in the intracellular and extracellular activities of laccase, tyrosinase, manganese peroxidase, and azoreductase. Phytotoxicity assessment indicated that the AR14 biodegradation by-products were not phytotoxic compared to the original dye molecules. Regarding the decolorization optimization, the screening of factors using the Plackett-Burman design showed that pH, dye concentration, and shaking speed had significant effects. These factors and their combined effect were evaluated using response surface methodology with the Box-Behnken model. The pH was the most significant factor, followed by dye concentration. The analysis of the contour plot and the 3D response surface diagram showed that the decolorization was inversely proportional to the increase in the initial dye concentration, but proportional to the initial pH and shaking speed. At optimal conditions (pH = 5.154, AR14 = 50 mg/L), C. fabianii could decolorize more than 97% of AR14 within 12 hr. PRACTITIONER POINTS: Cyberlindnera fabianii is a successful candidate for dye mycoremediation. Oxidase and reductase are the key enzymes involved in the biodegradation of azo dyes. By-products of Acid red 14 biodegradation are not phytoxic compared to the original dye. Design of experience tools enables to determine optimum conditions for efficient decolorization.

Abstract
This study investigated the applicability of waste antivirus copper film (CF) as a Fenton-like catalyst. The reaction activity of H2O2 and CF in combination was significantly enhanced by ultrasound (US) irradiation, and the synergy factor calculated from bisphenol A (BPA) degradation using CF-H2O2-US was 9.64 compare to that of dual factors. Photoluminescence analyses were conducted to compare the generation of hydroxyl radicals during both processes. In this sono-Fenton-like process, BPA degradation was affected by solution pH, temperature, ultrasound power, CF size, H2O2 dose, and initial BPA concentration. The BPA degradation curves showed an induction period (first stage) and a rapid degradation period (second stage). Process efficiency was totally and partially enhanced in the presence of chloride and carbonate ions, respectively. Chemical scavenger tests showed that both free and surface-bound hydroxyl radicals participate in BPA degradation under the sono-Fenton-like process using CF. The functional groups and copper crystals on the CF surface remained unchanged after five consecutive reuses, and the BPA degradation efficiency of CF was maintained over 80% during the reuse processes as a sono-Fenton-like catalyst.

Abstract
This study aimed to improve the speed of the electrochemical process by graphene oxide nanoparticle as a current accelerator in Acid Blue 25 removal from aqueous solutions. To do so, the effect of different parameters including pH, dye concentration, sodium persulfate concentration, the ratio of sodium persulfate to iron (II) sulfate concentration, current density, and the distance between electrodes was investigated on dye removal. Under optimal conditions of pH = 5, dye concentration = 200 mg/L, sodium persulfate concentration = 500 mg/L, iron (II) sulfate concentration = 100 mg/L, current density = 16.67 mA/cm2, and electrode distance = 2 cm, 95% of dye was removed after 60 min in the electro-activated persulfate process; while the modified electro-activated persulfate process achieved 95% dye removal after only 40 min under the same conditions. This system was able to remove 90% of dye after 60 min at a higher concentration (300 mg/L). Also, the modified electro-activated persulfate process obtained the removal of 80% of COD, and 54% of TOC after 180 min in the mentioned conditions, for the dye concentration of 300 mg/L.

Abstract
In this study, the Fe-containing tailings (Fe-TO) ore was reutilized and enriched with FeCl3 as a heterogeneous catalyst for the Fenton process to degrade the organic dyes from aqueous solution. The determinants of the heterogeneous catalytic Fenton system which included iron modification ratio, solution pH, catalyst dosage, H2O2 dosage and initial concentration of organic dyes were systematically investigated. The modification ratio of 15% (w/w of iron), pH of 3, MFe-TO15 dosage of 0.5 g L-1 and H2O2 dosage of 840 mg L-1 were chosen as the best operational conditions for Fenton oxidation of organic dyes. The decolorization efficiency of both MB and RhB by MFe-TO15/H2O2 was higher than that of Fe-TO/H2O2 by about two times. The kinetic study showed the degradation of organic dyes well fitted the pseudo-first-order kinetic model with apparent constant rate values (K d) following the same sequence as the degradation efficiency of organic dyes. The degradation mechanism of dyes could be attributed to adsorption due to the good-development in textural properties of the iron modified catalyst (MFe-TO) with an increase in BET surface area, pore volume and pore diameter of, respectively, 2, 5 and 5 times and leaching iron through homogeneous Fenton reaction. However, the oxidation process occurring on the MFe-TO15's surface by heterogeneous Fenton reaction which enhanced decomposition of H2O2 for continuous generation of hydroxyl radicals was the main mechanism. The key role of *OH radical in oxidation of organic dyes was further ascertained by the remarkable drop in the decolorization of both organic dyes when the various radical-scavengers, including tert-butanol and chloride were supplemented into Fenton systems. A good stability of the catalyst was obtained through leaching test with low leaching iron ratio. The applied modified catalyst remained stable through three consecutive runs. From these findings, it can be concluded that the modified material can be applied as a feasible, inexpensive and highly effective catalyst for removal of persistent organic compounds from wastewater.

Abstract
Nowadays, it is a great challenge to minimize the negative impact of hazardous organic compounds in the environment. Highly efficient hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) production through electrochemical methods with gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) is greatly demand for degradation of organic pollutants that present in drinking water and industrial wastewater. The GDEs as cathodic electrocatalyst manifest more cost-effective, lower energy consumption and higher oxygen utilization efficiency for H2O2 production as compared to other carbonaceous cathodes due to its worthy chemical and physical characteristics. In recent years, the crucial research and practical application of GDE for degradation of organic pollutants have been well developed. In this review, we focus on the novel design, fundamental aspects, influence factors, and electrochemical properties of GDEs. Furthermore, we investigate the generation of H2O2 through electrocatalytic processes and degradation mechanisms of refractory organic pollutants on GDEs. We describe the advanced methodologies towards electrochemical kinetics, which include the enhancement of GDEs electrochemical catalytic activity and mass transfer process. More importantly, we also highlight the other technologies assisted electrochemical process with GDEs to enlarge the practical application for water treatment. In addition, the developmental prospective and the existing research challenges of GDE-based electrocatalytic materials for real applications in H2O2 production and wastewater treatment are forecasted. According to our best knowledge, only few review articles have discussed GDEs in detail for H2O2 production and their applications for degradation of organic pollutants in water.

Abstract
Abstract
A surfactant-mediated cloud point extraction (CPE) method using the non-ionic surfactant Triton X-100 (TX-100) has been developed to remove the dye Direct Blue 71 (DB71) from a waste water. Most of the dye molecules are solubilized in the coacervate phase so that the dilute phase remains free of the dye. The effects of surfactant concentration, temperature and salt concentration on the different dye concentrations were studied to determine the optimal conditions for removing DB71. The concentration of DB71 in the dilute phase was measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. It was found that the separation of phases was complete and the recovery of DB71 was very effective in the presence of NaCl as an electrolyte. The results showed that up to 25 ppm DB71, i.e. more than 95%, can be quantitatively removed by cloud point extraction procedures in a single extraction at optimal conditions. It was also observed that at a dye concentration of 1 ppm, 100% of the blue dye DB71 can be directly removed with a TX-100 concentration of 12% by weight. At higher dye concentrations of up to 30 ppm, 94.7%-100% dye can be removed. The TX-100 concentration was 12 wt%, the salt concentration (NaCl) 0.005 M and the temperature 75°C. It is concluded that the surfactant mediated cloud point extraction method for dye removal can be an alternative to current dye removal methods.

In this work, β-FeOOH was synthesized and grown on carbon paper with the assistance of dopamine (PDA) via a facile hydrothermal method, producing β-FeOOH self-supporting electrode eventually. Electrochemical anodic oxidation performance to methyl orange (MO) solution using β-FeOOH anode was investigated and the major influencing factors such as current density, initial pH value and initial MO concentration on MO degradation efficiency were further explored. Experimental results suggested that 99.4% degradation rate of MO could be achieved only after 25 min electrolysis, its pseudo first-order reaction kinetic constant was 11.3 ⅹ 10-2 min-1 and the COD removal ratio was 37.3% after 120 min electrolysis under optimized conditions: current density was 10 mA cm-2, initial pH value was 3 and initial MO concentration was 10 mg L-1. At the same time, β-FeOOH electrode also exhibited a high cycling stability and the MO removal ratio was still keeping at 84.9% after eight cycles. Moreover, this electrode showed efficient decomposition performance to multiple simulated pollutants, indicating the well potential practical application values of β-FeOOH electrode. At last, the proposed degradation mechanism of MO was evaluated according to the analyzing results of UV-vis and HPLC-MS to MO solution under different degradation durations.

Abstract
Carmoisine is an azo dye widely used in many industries, and therefore frequently occurs in the effluent of many factories. To our knowledge, biological degradation of carmoisine has received little attention. The present study investigates the capability of Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 9763 for degradation of carmoisine. Spectrophotometry data indicates that carmoisine (50 mg/l) was eliminated from the aqueous medium after approximately 7 h of incubation with Saccharomyces under anaerobic shaking conditions. Thin layer chromatography (TLC) revealed the removal of carmoisine as well as the appearance of aromatic amines in samples collected from the decolourized medium by S. cerevisiae and this was subsequently confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC/MS) was carried out on fractions from consecutive column chromatography and two-dimensional (2D) chromatography. LC/MS indicated degradation of carmoisine into its constituent aromatic amines. In addition, investigating the effect of environmental conditions on the decolourization process indicated that yeast extract could positively affect decolourization rates; shaking significantly accelerated decolourization and shortened the time required for complete biodecolourization from ≃ 8 days to ≃ 7 h; and Saccharomyces was able to consume sucrose as a carbon source and remove the carmoisine despite the presence of sunset yellow, which remained unaffected.

Abstract
In the present work, Acid Red 1 (AR1) dye degradation by two heterogeneous Fenton catalysts, namely iron loaded rice husk biochar (Fe-RHB) and coir pith biochar (Fe-CPB) are studied. Biochar prepared from RHB and CPB were sonicated in the presence of ferric nitrate for the synthesis of Fe-RHB and Fe-CPB by incipient impregnation method. Effect of operational parameters such as pH, the dosage of catalyst, H2O2 concentration and temperature were examined. Characterization of the synthesized Fenton catalyst, Fe-RHB and Fe-CPB were analysed by SEM, EDS, XRD and XPS techniques. In Fe-RHB Fenton system, maximum dye removal efficiency of 97.6% and TOC removal efficiency of 84.2% were obtained at pH 3 for 50 mg L-1 of AR1 concentration, with 16 mM of H2O2 and 5 g L-1 of catalyst dosage within 120 min reaction time. Similarly, for Fe-CPB, maximum dye removal efficiency of 99.1% and TOC removal efficiency of 86.7% were obtained with 16 mM of H2O2 and 4 g L-1 of dosage for 50 mg L-1 of initial dye concentration at pH 3. The prepared catalysts can be reused for successive cycles as the catalyst materials are highly stable and have very less iron leaching property.

Abstract
The heterogeneous Fenton system has become the hotspot in the decontamination field due to its effective degradation performance with a wide pH range. Based on the unstable chemical properties of pyrite, in this article, Fe2GeS4 nanoparticles with better thermodynamic stability were prepared by vacuum sintering and high energy ball milling and its potential as Fenton reagent was investigated for the first time. Three determinants of the heterogeneous Fenton system including the iron source, hydrogen peroxide, pH and the degradation mechanism were investigated. The catalyst dosage of 0.3 g/L, initial H2O2 concentration in the Fenton system of 50 m mol/L and pH of 7 were chosen as the best operational conditions. An almost complete degradation was achieved within 5 min for methylene blue and rhodamine b while 10 min for methyl orange. The total organic carbon removal efficiencies of Fe2GeS4 heterogeneous Fenton system for methylene blue, methyl orange and rhodamine b in 10 min were 56.3%, 66.2% and 74.2%, respectively. It's found that the degradation ability could be attributed to a heterogeneous catalysis occurring at the Fe2GeS4 surface together with a homogeneous catalysis in the aqueous phase by the dissolved iron ions.

Abstract
Nanocomposite TiO2/ASS (TiO2 nanoparticle coated sewage sludge-based activated carbon) was synthesized by the sol-gel method. The changes in surface properties of the TiO2/ASS nanocomposite were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray fluorescence. The prepared TiO2/ASS nanocomposite was applied for simultaneous removal of methyl orange dye (MO) and Cd2+ from bi-pollutant solution. The factors influencing photocatalysis (TiO2 : ASS ratios, initial pollutant concentrations, solution pH, nanocomposite dosage and UV irradiation time) were investigated. The results revealed that high removal efficiency of methyl orange dye (MO) and Cd2+ from bi-pollutant solution was achieved with TiO2/ASS at a ratio (1 : 2). The obtained results revealed that degradation of MO dye on the TiO2/ASS nanocomposite was facilitated by surface adsorption and photocatalytic processes. The coupled photocatalysis and adsorption shown by TiO2/ASS nanocomposite resulted in faster and higher degradation of MO as compared to MO removal by ASS adsorbent. The removal efficiency of MO by ASS adsorbent and TiO2/ASS (1 : 2) nanocomposite at optimum pH value 7 were 74.14 and 94.28%, respectively, while for Cd2+ it was more than 90%. The experimental results fitted well with the second-order kinetic reaction.

Abstract
Azo dyes are commonly found as pollutants in wastewater from the textile industry, and can cause environmental problems because of their color and toxicity. The removal of a typical azo dye named C.I. Reactive Red 2 (RR2) during low pressure ultraviolet (UV)/chlorine oxidation was investigated in this study. UV irradiation at 254nm and addition of free chlorine provided much higher removal rates of RR2 and color than UV irradiation or chlorination alone. Increasing the free chlorine dose enhanced the removal efficiency of RR2 and color by UV/chlorine oxidation. Experiments performed with nitrobenzene (NB) or benzoic acid (BA) as scavengers showed that radicals (especially OH) formed during UV/chlorine oxidation are important in the RR2 removal. Addition of HCO3(-) and Cl(-) to the RR2 solution did not inhibit the removal of RR2 during UV/chlorine oxidation.

Abstract
This work deals with the treatment of a recalcitrant effluent, from the dyeing stage of acrylic fibres, by combination of the heterogeneous Fenton's process in a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) with biological degradation in a sequential batch reactor (SBR). Three different catalysts (a commercial Fe/ZSM-5 zeolite and two distinct Fe-containing activated carbons - ACs - prepared by wet impregnation of iron acetate and iron nitrate) were employed on the Fenton's process, and afterwards a parametric study was carried out to determine the effect of the main operating conditions, namely the hydrogen peroxide feed concentration, temperature and contact time. Under the best operating conditions found, using the activated carbon impregnated with iron nitrate, 62.7% of discolouration and 39.9% of total organic carbon (TOC) reduction were achieved, at steady-state. Furthermore, a considerable increase in the effluent's biodegradability was attained (BOD5:COD ratio increased from <0.001 to 0.27 and SOUR - specific oxygen uptake rate - from <0.2 to 11.1 mg O2/(gVSS·h)), alongside a major decrease in its toxicity (from 92.1 to 94.0% of Vibrio fischeri inhibition down to 6.9-9.9%). This allowed the application of the subsequent biological degradation stage. The combination of the two processes provided a treated effluent that clearly complies with the legislated discharge limits. It was also found that the iron leaching from the three catalysts tested was very small in all runs, a crucial factor for the stability and long-term use of such materials.

Abstract
Fenton and Fenton-like processes, both in homogeneous and heterogeneous phases, have been applied to an aqueous solution containing the dye AR 14 in order to study the mineralization and toxicity of the solutions generated after color elimination. The mineralization of AR 14 occurred slower than the decolorization. The Microtox analysis of the treated solutions showed low toxicity intrinsic to the chemicals used in the process rather than the degradation products obtained after the treatment of the dye solution. The dye degradation for the Fenton oxidation process was initially faster than for the Fenton-like process but after a short time, the four processes showed similar degradation yields. All processes have shown good results being the heterogeneous process the most convenient since the pH adjustment is not necessary, the catalyst is recovered and reused and the generation of contaminated sludge is avoided.

Abstract
Iron-loaded mangosteen shell powder (Fe-MSP) was found as an effective heterogeneous Fenton catalyst for the treatment of stabilized landfill leachate. Sonolytically produced catalyst has higher efficiency than other catalysts. At the optimal conditions (pH 3, catalyst concentration of 1,750 mg/L and hydrogen peroxide concentration of 0.26 M), 81 % of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) was removed effectively from the landfill leachate. But, the efficiency of Fe-MSP was reduced in the first recycling due to the poisoning of active sites. A metal leaching study indicated that the degradation of the pollutant is mainly due to solid Fe ions present in Fe-MSP rather than the leached ferrous and ferric ions. Hydroxyl radical production in the system was confirmed by the Fenton oxidation of benzoic acid. Compared to the homogeneous Fenton process, the heterogeneous Fenton process using Fe-MSP had higher COD removal efficiency, indicating the practical applicability of the prepared catalyst.

Abstract
A cationic dye, Rhodamine B (RhB), could be efficiently discolored by heterogeneous Fenton-like reaction catalyzed by natural schorl. In this work, with the main goal of the optimization for RhB discoloration, central composite design under the response surface methodology (RSM) was employed for the experiment design and process optimization. The significance of a second-order polynomial model for predicting the optimal values of RhB discoloration was evaluated by the analysis of variance and 3D response surface and counter plots for the interactions between two variables were constructed. The Pareto graphic analysis of the discoloration process indicated that, among all the variables, solution pH (X 3, 47.95 %) and H2O2 concentration (X 1, 24.39 %) had the largest influences on the heterogeneous Fenton-like discoloration of RhB. Based on the model prediction, the optimum conditions for RhB discoloration were determined to be 45 mM H2O2 concentration, 2.5 g/L schorl dosage, solution pH 2, and 110 min reaction time, with the maximum RhB discoloration ratio of 98.86 %. The corresponding experimental value of RhB discoloration ratio under the optimum conditions was determined as 99.31 %, which is very close to the optimized one, implying that RSM is a powerful and satisfactory strategy for the process optimization.

Abstract
Several industries are using dyes as coloring agents. The effluents from these industries are increasingly becoming an environmental problem. The removal of dyes from aqueous solution has a great potential in the field of environmental engineering. This paper reviews the classification, characteristics, and problems of dyes in detail. Advantages and disadvantages of different methods used for dye removal are also analyzed. Among these methods, Fenton process-based advanced oxidation processes are an emerging prospect in the field of dye removal. Fenton processes have been classified and represented as "Fenton circle". This paper analyzes the recent studies on Fenton processes. The studies include analyzing different configurations of reactors used for dye removal, its efficiency, and the effects of various operating parameters such as pH, catalyst concentration, H2O2 concentration, initial dye concentration, and temperature of Fenton processes. From the present study, it can be conclude that Fenton processes are very effective and environmentally friendly methods for dye removal.

Abstract
In this work, oxidation with a Fenton-like process of a dye solution was carried out in a packed-bed reactor. Activated carbon Norit RX 3 Extra was impregnated with ferrous sulfate and used as catalyst (7 wt.% of iron). The effect of the main operating conditions in the Chicago Sky Blue (CSB) degradation was analyzed. It was found that the increase in temperature leads to a higher removal of the dye and an increased mineralization. However, it also increases the iron leaching, but the values observed were below 0.4 ppm (thus, far below European Union limits). It was possible to reach, at steady-state, a dye conversion of 88%, with a total organic carbon (TOC) removal of ca. 47%, being the reactor operated at 50°C, pH 3, W(cat)/Q=4.1 g min mL(-1) (W(cat) is the mass of catalyst and Q the total feed flow rate) and a H(2)O(2) feed concentration of 2.25 mM (for a CSB feed concentration of 0.012 mM). The same performance was reached in three consecutive cycles.
