Abstract
Supramolecular dichloro-chlorostannate(IV) and -plumbate(IV) complexes (Me3NH)2{[MCl6]Cl2} (M = Sn (1), Pb (2)) feature dichlorine units incorporated into a halometalate framework. Both compounds were characterized by X-ray diffractometry and Raman spectroscopy.

Abstract
Reactions between bromoselenate(IV)-containing solutions, dibromine and salts of pyridinium-family organic cations resulted in structurally diverse, bromine-rich polybromine-bromoselenates(IV): (4-MePyH)5[Se2Br9][SeBr6](Br3)2 (1), (2-MePyH)2{[SeBr6](Br2)} (2), (PyH)2{[SeBr5]Br(Br2)2} (3), (1-MePy)2{[SeBr6](Br2)} (4). The compounds feature halogen and (in the case of 3) chalcogen bonding in solid state, resulting in formation of supramolecular architectures of different dimensionality. DFT calculations allowed estimation of the energies of non-covalent interactions in 1–4; additionally, characterization by Raman spectroscopy was performed.

Abstract
Bismuth containing hybrid molecular ferroelectrics are receiving tremendous attention in recent years owing to their stable and non-toxic composition. However, these perovskite-like structures are primarily limited to ammonium cations. Herein, we report a new phosphonium based discrete perovskite-like hybrid ferroelectric with a formula [Me(Ph)3 P]3 [Bi2 Br9 ] (MTPBB) and its mechanical energy harvesting capability. The Polarization-Electric field (P-E) measurements resulted in a well-defined ferroelectric hysteresis loop with a remnant polarization value of 2.1 μC cm-2 . Piezoresponse force microscopy experiments enabled visualization of the ferroelectric domain structure and evaluation of the piezoelectric strain coefficient (d33 ) for an MTPBB single crystal and thin film sample. Furthermore, flexible devices incorporating MTPBB in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix at various concentrations were fabricated and explored for their mechanical energy harvesting properties. The champion device with 20 wt % of MTPBB in PDMS rendered a maximum peak-to-peak open-circuit voltage of 22.9 V and a maximum power density of 7 μW cm-2 at an optimal load of 4 MΩ. Moreover, the potential of MTPBB-based devices in low power electronics was demonstrated by storing the harvested energy in various electrolytic capacitors.

Abstract
Zero-dimensional (0D) organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides (OIMHs) containing multiple halometallate species (HMSs) have received extensive attention due to their capability to achieve multifunctional photophysical characteristics. Herein we report a lead-free 0D-OIMH compound, namely [Emim]8[SbCl6]2[SbCl5] (1, Emim = 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium), which is the first crystal containing two distinct mononuclear [SbXn]3-n units in one single structure. The optical absorption, temperature/excitation-variable photoluminescence (PL) and PL decay were studied. 1 exhibits a broad emission centered at 577 nm, which is analyzed to be a combination of the emissions from [SbCl6]3- and [SbCl5]2-. The structural effects including SbSb distances and polyhedral distortion of [SbXn]3-n on the PL of antimony-based 0D-OIMHs are discussed in detail. This work would provide guidance for constructing Sb-based 0D OIMHs composed of multiple halometallate species.

Abstract
Reactions of [SbBr6]3- containing HBr solutions with bromide salts of 1,1'-(1,2-ethanediyl)bis(pyridine) (PyC22+) or 1,1'-(1,2-ethanediyl)bis(3,5-dimethylpyridine) (3,5-MePyC22+) initially result in the formation of the deep orange complexes Cat[SbBr5] (1 and 2), featuring unusual Sb···Br interactions in the solid state. In the mother liquor, 1 transforms into discrete binuclear (C2Py)2[Sb2Br10], which demonstrates polymorphism (triclinic 3 and monoclinic 4), while 2 transforms into polymeric (3,5-MePy){[SbBr4]} (5). DFT calculations reveal that the system of noncovalent Sb···Br contacts may be responsible for the appearance of the observed optical properties (unusual deep orange coloring).

Abstract
As part of our interest in halogenobismuthate(iii) organic-inorganic hybrid materials, a novel compound named bis(4,4'-diammoniumdiphenylsulfone) hexadecaiodotetrabismuthate(III) tetrahydrate with the chemical formula (C12H14N2O2S)2[Bi4I16]·4H2O, abbreviated as (H2DDS)[Bi4I16], has been prepared by a slow evaporation method at room temperature. This compound was characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD), spectroscopic measurements, thermal study and antimicrobial activity. The examination of the molecular arrangement shows that the crystal packing can be described as made of layers of organic [C12H14N2O2S]2+ entities and H2O molecules, between which tetranuclear [Bi4I16]4- units, isolated from each other, are inserted. The cohesion among the different molecules is assured by N-H⋯I, N-H⋯O and O-H⋯I hydrogen bonding interactions, forming a three-dimensional network. Room temperature IR, Raman spectroscopy of the title compound were recorded and analyzed. The optical properties were also investigated by both UV-vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy. Moreover, the synthesized compound was also screened for in vitro antimicrobial (Gram-positive and Gram-negative) and antioxidant activities (scavenging effect on DPPH free radicals, reducing power and total antioxidant capacity).

Abstract
In the presence of different cations, reactions of [SbBr6 ]3- and I2 result in a new family of diverse supramolecular 1D polyiodide-bromoantimonate networks. The coordination number of Sb, as well as geometry of assembling {Ix }n- polyhalide units, can vary, resulting in unprecedented structural types. The nature of I⋅⋅⋅Br interactions was studied by DFT calculations; estimated energy values are 1.6-6.9 kcal mol-1 . Some of the compounds showed strong photoconductivity in thin films, suggesting multiple feasible applications in optoelectronics and solar energy conversion.
