Abstract
Despite breakthroughs of immunotherapy synergistically combined with blockade of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, several patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) experience non-response or followed relapse. Organized lymphoid aggregates, termed tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs), are found to be associated with improved response to immunotherapy. Here, we explore the landscapes of TLSs in tumour tissues from a real-world retrospective study. Our investigation showed that with a median follow-up of 11.2 months, the ORR was 28.6% (18/63, 95% CI 17.9-41.3) and the median PFS was 6.1 (95% CI 5.5-6.6) months in NSCLC patients treated with PD-1 blockade combined with anlotinib. By multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) analysis, spatially, more TLSs and high CD20+ B-cell ratio in TLSs were associated with higher ORR. High density of intratumoral CD8+ T cells showed better ORR and PFS. The numbers of CD8+ T cells with a distance within 20 μm and 20-50 μm between tumour cells were higher in responders than non-responders. But responders had significantly higher TLSs within 20 μm rather than within 20-50 μm of tumour cells than non-responders. The inflamed immunophenotyping occupied higher proportions in responders and was associated with better PFS. Besides, tumour cells in non-responders were found more temporal cell-in-cell structures than responders, which could protect inner cells from T-cell attacks. Taken together, landscape of TLSs and proximity architecture may imply superior responses to PD-1 blockade combined with anlotinib for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

Abstract
Background Many studies show that camrelizumab combination therapy can significantly improve progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the time of camrelizumab to market is short, and there is no systematic evaluation of camrelizumab-based comprehensive treatment of NSCLC. Objectives To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab in comprehensively treating NSCLC. Design A systematic review and meta-analysis. Data sources and methods Databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane, were searched by computer before August 2023 based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines, and reports on the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab-based treatment for NSCLC were collected, and RevMan 5.4 software was employed for meta-analysis finally. Results Totally, 5 RCTs, 2 cohort studies, and 12 single-arm studies were included. The meta-analysis results revealed that, compared with the treatment without camrelizumab, the camrelizumab-based combination treatment considerably extended the OS (hazard ratio (HR) = 0.60, 95% confidence interval (CI): (0.44-0.82), p < 0.01), PFS (HR = 0.42, 95% CI: (0.28-0.63), p < 0.01), and event-free survival (EFS) (HR = 0.55, 95% CI: (0.44-0.68), p < 0.01). The median objective response rate in single-arm studies was 41% (95% CI: 28%-53%), and the disease control rate was 84% (95% CI: 78%-89%). Furthermore, in terms of the occurrence of grades 3-5 adverse events, the incidence of neutropenia was lower in the camrelizumab combination group than in the control group, while the incidence of leukopenia and rash was higher than in the combination group, and no significant difference was revealed in the incidence of other adverse events. Among single-arm studies, the incidence of grades 3-5 adverse events did not exceed 10%. Conclusion Treatment combined with camrelizumab can effectively prolong OS, PFS, and EFS in NSCLC patients with good safety, camrelizumab combined with chemotherapy is an effective treatment option for NSCLC patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immune-checkpoint inhibitors are now used more commonly in combination than monotherapy as the first-line choice in patients with unresectable advanced melanoma. Nevertheless, for cases that progressed after the initial combination therapy, the subsequent regimen option can be very difficult. Herein, we reported the efficacy and safety of a triple combination regimen in Chinese unresectable advanced melanoma patients who had poor responses to the first-line immune therapy. METHODS We reviewed the clinical profiles of patients diagnosed with stage IIIC-IV melanoma between June 1, 2020, and September 30, 2023. The patients who failed the prior immune therapies and received anti-PD-1 mono antibody plus interferon(IFN)-alpha 1b and anlotinib hydrochloride as the second-line therapy were enrolled in the retrospective analysis. Additionally, we examined the exhaustion of T-cells using mIHC staining in available tumor samples. RESULTS Fifty-five patients were included in this study. The median follow-up period was 13.6 months. The objective response rate evaluated by the investigators was 9.1%(1CR, 4PR). The disease control rate was 47.3%. The median overall survival was 17.6 months, and the median progression-free survival was 2.8 months. The adverse events rate of any grade was 100%. Grade 3 or 4 irAEs were observed in 29.1% of cases. Multiplex immunohistochemical staining revealed an increased trend of TIM3 expression on tumor-infiltrating T cells in patients without objective response. CONCLUSION PD-1 monoclonal antibody plus interferon-alpha 1b plus anlotinib showed acceptable tolerability and anticancer benefits in Chinese metastatic melanoma patients as a second-line therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Anti-angiogenic agents could enhance tumor immunity response, and anti- angiogenesis plus immunotherapy has become a novel treatment option for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The efficacy of this combination therapy remains controversial and obscure. AIM We conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of this therapeutic strategy in patients with advanced NSCLC and provide more guidance for treating NSCLC clinically. METHODS A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, and Wanfang databases to identify relevant studies published up to December 2021. The primary endpoint was the objective response rate (ORR). Second endpoints were progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and grade ≥3 AEs adverse events (AEs). The sensitivity analysis was conducted to confirm the stability of the results. STATA 15.0 was utilized for all pooled analyses. RESULTS Eleven studies were eventually included in the meta-analysis, involving 533 patients with advanced NSCLC. The pooled ORR rate was 27% (95% CI 18% to 35%; I2 =84.2%; p<0.001), while the pooled median PFS and OS was 5.84 months (95% CI 4.66 to 7.03 months; I2=78.4%; p<0.001) and 14.20 months (95% CI 11.08 to 17.32 months; I2=82.2%; p=0.001), respectively. Most common grade ≥3 AEs included hypertension, hand-foot syndrome, diarrhea, adrenal insufficiency, hyponatremia, proteinuria, rash, thrombocytopenia, and fatigue. CONCLUSION Anti-angiogenesis combined with immunotherapy demonstrated satisfactory antitumor activity and an acceptable toxicity profile in patients with advanced NSCLC. The pooled results of our meta-analysis provided further evidence supporting the favorable efficacy and safety of this therapeutic strategy.

Abstract
Immunotherapy has changed the treatment strategy of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in recent years, among which anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies are the most used. However, the majority of patients with NSCLC do not derive benefit from immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). Vascular abnormalities are a hallmark of most solid tumors and facilitate immune evasion. Thus, combining antiangiogenic therapies might increase the effectiveness of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies. In this paper, the mechanisms of anti-angiogenic agents combined with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies are illustrated, moreover, relevant clinical studies and predictive immunotherapeutic biomarkers are summarized and analyzed, in order to provide more treatment options for NSCLC patients.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Immune monotherapy as second-line treatment confers only modest survival benefit on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with no mutated driver genes, necessitating combination treatment strategies. This phase Ib trial investigated the efficacy and safety of anti-PD-L1 antibody TQB2450 plus antiangiogenic drug anlotinib for NSCLC. MATERIALS AND METHODS Pretreated stage IIIB or IV NSCLC patients with wild-type EGFR/ALK and minimally one measurable lesion were randomized 1:1:1 to receive TQB2450 1200 mg plus placebo, or TQB2450 1200 mg plus anlotinib 10 or 12 mg. The primary outcome was progression-free survival (PFS) and the secondary outcomes included objective response rate (ORR). RESULTS Thirty-three patients received TQB2450 plus placebo and 34 patients each received TQB2450 plus anlotinib 10 mg and 12 mg. At the data cutoff, the median PFS was 8.7 months (95% CI 6.1-17.1) in the TQB2450 plus anlotinib group and 2.8 months (95% CI 1.4-4.7) in the TQB2450 only group. The ORR reached 30.9% (95% CI 20.2%-43.3%) in the TQB2450 plus anlotinib group and was 3.0% (95% CI 0.1%-15.8%) in the TQB2450 only group. In patients with PD-L1 ≥ 1%, the ORR was 50.0% (95% CI 33.4%-66.6%) for TQB2450 plus anlotinib and 5.3% (95% CI 0.1%-26.0%) for TQB2450 plus placebo. No new safety signals were observed. CONCLUSION Anlotinib plus TQB2450 demonstrated promising antitumor activities in advanced NSCLC patients without EGFR and ALK alterations and the toxicities were overall manageable. The study findings support the continued development of TQB2450 plus anlotinib for advanced NSCLC patients without driver gene alterations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) with angiogenesis inhibitors have been used to treat advanced lung cancer. Their associated treatment-related adverse events (trAEs) are currently considered acceptable; however, no conclusion has been reached. We aimed to summarize the trAEs caused by ICIs combined with angiogenesis inhibitors in patients with advanced lung cancer. METHODS Pulled studies met the following criteria: patients with advanced lung cancer who received treatment involving ICIs combined with angiogenesis inhibitors (with or without chemotherapy) in interventional or observational studies. Results included the type and number of trAEs or immune-related adverse events (irAEs), treatment-associated discontinuation and mortality, overall survival (OS), and progression-free survival (PFS). PROSPERO CRD42022337656. RESULTS The study enrolled 32 trials involving 2313 patients who had 7768 any-grade trAEs and 1078 grade ≥3 trAEs. The pooled incidences were 87.33% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 79.49-93.65; I2 = 94.04%) for any-grade trAEs, and 38.63% (95% CI: 28.28-49.50; I2 = 95.61%) for grade ≥3 trAEs. There were 132 kinds of any-grade trAEs involving 18 systems, and 99 kinds of grade ≥3 trAEs involving 16 systems. For all trAEs, we observed significant differences in the line of therapy, trial design, therapy combination, and types of angiogenesis inhibitors (all P < 0.05). The rate of trAEs increased with dosage and frequency of medication. Pooled incidences of discontinuation and mortality were 10.64% and 0.81%, respectively. Nearly 647 patients experienced irAEs, including 636 any-grade irAEs and 154 grade ≥3 irAEs. CONCLUSIONS Overall, the incidence of trAEs caused by ICIs combined with angiogenesis inhibitors is generally acceptable. These trAEs have a wide spectrum nearly covering the full range of adverse events. Grade ≥3 trAEs are more closely associated with angiogenesis inhibitors than any grade. However, treatment-associated mortality remains concerning.

Abstract
Background Previous studies revealed that Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)/Programmed cell death-Ligand protein 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents had extensive anti-tumor activities. However, almost all studies on the efficacy and safety of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents as second or later-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer are non-randomized controlled trials with small sample sizes, which might lead to a lack of effective metrics to assess the effectiveness and safety of the therapeutic regimen. Here, this meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents as second or later-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods A single-arm meta-analysis was performed, and published literature from PubMed, Web of Science and Embase databases as of January 13, 2023, was systematically retrieved. We used the Cochrane risk of bias tool and methodological index for non-randomized studies (MINORS) Methodological items to evaluate the quality of eligible clinical trials. Outcomes including overall response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and adverse events (AEs) were extracted for further analysis. The random effect model is used to calculate the pooled parameters. Results 19 studies (16 were non-comparative single-arm clinical trials and 3 were randomized controlled trials) were enrolled in this meta-analysis. In terms of tumor response, the pooled ORR and DCR were 22.4% (95% CI, 16.6-28.1%) and 76.8% (95% CI, 72.6-81.1%), respectively. With regard to survival analysis, the pooled PFS and OS were 5.20 (95% CI, 4.46-5.93) months and 14.09 (95% CI, 13.20-14.97) months, respectively. The pooled grade ≥3 adverse effect (AE) rate was 47.6% (95% CI, 33.1-62.0%). Conclusion PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents has promising efficacy and safety as second or later-line treatment in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Abstract
Currently, anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy using immune checkpoint inhibitors is widely used in the treatment of multiple cancer types including lung cancer, which is a leading cause of cancer death in the world. However, only a limited proportion of lung cancer patients will benefit from anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy. Therefore, it is of importance to predict the response to immunotherapy for the precision treatment of patients. Although the expression of PD-L1 and tumor mutation burden (TMB) are commonly used to predict the clinical response of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy, other factors such as tumor-specific genes, dMMR/MSI, and gut microbiome are also promising predictors for immunotherapy in lung cancer. Furthermore, invasive peripheral blood biomarkers including blood DNA-related biomarkers (e.g., ctDNA and bTMB), blood cell-related biomarkers (e.g., immune cells and TCR), and other blood-related biomarkers (e.g., soluble PD-L1 and cytokines) were utilized to predict the immunotherapeutic response. In this review, the current achievements of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy and the potential biomarkers for the prediction of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy in lung cancer treatment were summarized and discussed.

Abstract
Pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma (PACC) is a rare pancreatic malignancy with unique clinical, molecular, and morphologic features. The long-term survival of patients with PACC is substantially better than that of patients with ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. Surgical resection is considered the first choice for treatment; however, there is no standard treatment option for patients with inoperable disease. The patient with metastatic PACC reported herein survived for more than 5 years with various treatments including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, antiangiogenic therapy and combined immunotherapy.

Abstract
In order to predict how mAbs partition in 20% ethylene oxide/80% propylene oxide (v/v) random copolymer (EO20PO80)/water aqueous two-phase system (ATPS), a molecular dynamic simulation model was developed using Gromacs and then validated by experiments. The ATPS was applied with seven kinds of salt, including buffer salt and strong dissociation salt that were commonly employed in the purification of protein. Na2SO4 was shown to have the best effects on lowering EO20PO80 content in the aqueous phase and enhancing recovery. The content of EO20PO80 in the sample solution was decreased to 0.62%±0.25% and the recovery of rituximab increased to 97.88%±0.95% by adding 300 mM Na2SO4 into back extraction ATPS. The viability determined by ELISA was 95.57% at the same time. A strategy for constructing a prediction model for the distribution of mAbs in ATPS was proposed in consideration of this finding. Partition of trastuzumab in ATPS was predicted by the model created using this method and the prediction result was further validated by experiments. The recovery of trastuzumab reached 95.63%±2.86% under the ideal extraction conditions suggested by the prediction model.

Abstract
Primary hepatic angiosarcoma (PHA), a rare soft tissue tumor, accounts for only 2% of all liver malignancies. Pathologically challenging, PHA is difficult to be distinguished from other malignancies with ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Due to late diagnosis and resistance against traditional chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, only 3% of PHA patients can survive up to two years after diagnosis. To our best knowledge, this case report presents the first case of an advanced diffuse PHA with ruptured hemorrhage that has been effectively treated with TACE and Anlotinib plus Camrelizumab. So far, the patient has received 10 cycles of treatment and is faring well. Latest MRI results show that the tumor has shrunk by 56% and can be assessed as a partial response (PR). This case report includes our experience in treating such a advanced malignancy, and we hope that larger studies on advanced PHA can better quantify the potential benefit.

Abstract
Background Half of the population of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients are older than 70 years and have limited therapeutic options due to poor tolerance and being excluded in most clinical trials. Anlotinib hydrochloride, a novel oral multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has been approved for the standard third-line treatment for NSCLC in China. Herein we report an elderly NSCLC patient without any driver gene mutations who was undergoing anlotinib as a front-line treatment and who achieved long-term survival. Case summary The 77-year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital for chest tightness after engaging in physical activity for a week. The patient has been diagnosed with stage IIIB driver gene-negative squamous cell lung carcinoma. After that, he was treated with anlotinib for 2 years and 10 months from the first diagnosis until the last disease progression. Briefly, anlotinib combined with platinum-based chemotherapy was performed as the first-line therapy over six cycles. After 6 more cycles of anlotinib monotherapy maintenance, disease progression occurred. Then, anlotinib combined with tegafur was administered as a salvage treatment, and the disease was controlled again. After 29 cycles of anlotinib combined with tegafur regimens, the disease progressed finally. The patient achieved a total of 34 months of progression-free survival after anlotinib was used as the front-line treatment. He is still alive with a good performance status now (performance status score: 1). Conclusion This patient achieved long-term survival using anlotinib as a front-line regimen combined with chemotherapy.

Abstract
Background The aim of this study was to assessment the efficacy and safety of Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)/Programmed cell death-Ligand protein 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents with or without chemotherapy versus PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus chemotherapy as second or later-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods In this study, pre-treatment clinical and laboratory indicators from 73 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer were retrieved for retrospective analysis. According to the therapy regimes they received, the patients were separated into groups, PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus chemotherapy group (PC group), PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents' group (PA group), PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents plus chemotherapy group (PAC group). Cox's proportional hazards regression model and Kaplan-Meier (KM) curves were used to assess the connection between treatment regimens and progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). In addition, the association of treatment regimens with the risk of disease progression and death was evaluated by subgroup analysis. Results The average age of the enrolled patients was 58.2 ± 10.2 years and 75.3% were male. Multivariate analyses showed that patients in PA group (Disease progression: HR 0.4, P=0.005. Death: HR 0.4, P=0.024) and PAC group (Disease progression: HR 0.3, P=0.012. Death: HR 0.3, P=0.045) had a statistically significant lower hazard ratio (HR) for disease progression and death compared to patients in PC group. Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that patients in PA group (mPFS:7.5 vs.3.5, P=0.00052. mOS:33.1 vs.21.8, P=0.093) and PAC group (mPFS:5.1 vs.3.5, P=0.075. mOS:37.3 vs.21.8, P=0.14) had a longer PFS and OS compared to patients in PC group. In all the pre-defined subgroups, patients in PA and PAC groups showed a decreasing trend in the risk of disease progression and death in most subgroups. The patients in PA group (DCR:96.3% vs.58.3%, P=0.001) and PAC group (DCR:100% vs.58.3%, P=0.019) had a better disease control rate (DCR) than patients in PC group. Conclusion PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus anti-angiogenic agents with or without chemotherapy were superior to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors plus chemotherapy as second or later-line treatment in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

Abstract
Despite improved methods of diagnosis and the development of different treatments, mortality from lung cancer remains surprisingly high. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for the large majority of lung cancer cases. Therefore, it is important to review current methods of diagnosis and treatments of NSCLC in the clinic and preclinic. In this review, we describe, as a guide for clinicians, current diagnostic methods and therapies (such as chemotherapy, chemoradiotherapy, targeted therapy, antiangiogenic therapy, immunotherapy, and combination therapy) for NSCLC.

Abstract
Anlotinib is a new multitarget tyrosine kinase inhibitor for tumor angiogenesis, and its monotherapy exhibits a decent clinical efficacy. However, the process of combining Anlotinib and immune checkpoint therapy to achieve optimal antitumor effects while limiting side effects remains unclear. In this study, we found that effective low-dose Anlotinib was sufficient to inhibit tumor growth while reducing side effects compared with high doses. Effective low-dose Anlotinib treatments induced durable tumor vascular normalization and improved anti-PD-1 therapy in both short- and long-term treatment regimens. Mechanistically, the combination therapy increased the proportions of intratumoral CD4+ T, CD8+ T, and NK cells. Anlotinib-associated antitumor effects were independent of interferon γ; however, the combination therapy required CD8+ T cells to suppress tumor growth. Together, these results suggest that the combination of effective low-dose Anlotinib and PD-1 blockade induces durable antitumor effects with fewer side effects. Our findings indicate that antiangiogenic treatments combined with immune checkpoint therapy at an effective low-dose, rather than a tolerable high dose, would be more efficacious and safer.

Abstract
Normalizing the tumor microenvironment (TME) is a potential strategy to improve the effectiveness of immunotherapy. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β pathways play an important role in the development and function of the TME, contributing to the immunosuppressive status of TME. To inhibit VEGF and/or TGF-β pathways can restore TME from immunosuppressive to immune-supportive status and enhance sensitivity to immunotherapy such as programmed death protein-1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors. In this review, we described the existing preclinical and clinical evidence supporting the use of anti-VEGF and/or anti-TGF-β therapies to enhance cancer immunotherapy. Encouragingly, adopting anti-VEGF and/or anti-TGF-β therapies as a combination treatment with anti-PD-(L)1 therapy have been demonstrated as effective and tolerable in several solid tumors in clinical trials. Although several questions need to be solved, the clinical value of this combination strategy is worthy to be studied further.

Abstract
Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) eliminate tumor cells by reactivating CD8 + T cells using the cytotoxic effects of the immune system. However, in this process, tumor angiogenic factors and abnormal formation of tumor blood vessels are not conducive to the treatment of ICIs. In the tumor microenvironment (TME), proangiogenic factors prevent dendritic cell maturation, reduce T cell infiltration, and recruit inhibitory immune cells such as regulatory T (Treg) cells. Abnormal tumor blood vessels also prevent immune cells and chemotherapy drugs from reaching the target effectively and lead to poor perfusion and severe hypoxia of the tumor. Treatment with antiangiogenic inhibitors can block the transmission of abnormal angiogenesis signals and promote the normalization of tumor vasculature. Therefore, the combination of antiangiogenic inhibitors and ICIs is used in clinical therapy. Combination therapy has been proven theoretically feasible in preclinical trials, and many clinical trials have been completed to confirm its safety and efficacy.

Abstract
Camrelizumab is a novel programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor developed in China that exhibits good efficacy in several advanced cancer types, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC); however, its utility as a neoadjuvant regimen in NSCLC remains unclear. Thus, the present study aimed to explore the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant camrelizumab plus chemotherapy in patients with locally advanced NSCLC. A total of 56 patients with stage IIIA/IIIB resectable NSCLC were analyzed in the present prospective observational study. Amongst the cohort, 31 patients underwent neoadjuvant camrelizumab (200 mg every 2 weeks) plus paclitaxel and carboplatin (PC) chemotherapy, while another 25 cases underwent neoadjuvant PC chemotherapy alone. The pathological response, disease-free survival (DFS) time, overall survival (OS) time and adverse events (AEs) were analyzed. The complete pathological response (25.8 vs. 8.3%; P=0.159) and major pathological response (MPR) (61.3 vs. 37.5%; P=0.080) rates were higher in the camrelizumab plus PC group compared with the findings in the PC group, although the results were not statistically significant. DFS time was significantly prolonged in the camrelizumab plus PC group compared with that in the PC group (P=0.030); however, there was no difference in OS time between these two groups (P=0.251). Following adjustment by multivariate analysis, the camrelizumab plus PC regimen versus the PC regimen alone was independently associated with higher MPR [odds ratio, 5.216; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.178-23.086; P=0.030], and favorable DFS [hazard ratio (HR), 0.055; 95% CI, 0.007-0.442; P=0.006] and OS (HR, 0.025; 95% CI, 0.002-0.416; P=0.010) times. The most common AEs of the neoadjuvant camrelizumab plus PC regimen were alopecia (51.6%), nausea and vomiting (45.2%), anemia (41.9%) and fatigue (41.9%), the majority of which occurred in patients with grade 1–2 disease. The present results indicated that neoadjuvant camrelizumab plus PC chemotherapy exhibited a superior pathological response and survival profile to PC chemotherapy alone, and was well tolerated in patients with locally advanced NSCLC.

Effects of CIK Cell Therapy Combined with Camrelizumab on the Quality of Life in Patients with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma and Analysis of Prognostic Factors. Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of CIK (cytokine-induced killer) cell therapy combined with camrelizumab on the quality of life in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and prognostic factors. Methods In this retrospective study, the materials of 80 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated in our hospital (February 2017-February 2019) were retrospectively analyzed, and they were equalized into experimental group (n = 40) and control group (n = 40) according to the order of admission. Both groups received 200 mg of camrelizumab on day 1 combined with 10 mg of anrotinib from day 2 to day 4. The patients received the above program every 3 weeks and 4 treatment cycles. The experimental group also received CIK cell therapy simultaneously. The patients' quality of life, immune indexes, local control, metastasis, and survival rate were compared between the two groups, and the prognostic factors were analyzed by logistic analysis. Results Compared with the control group, the experimental group achieved much higher scores of physical well-being (18.38 ± 2.31), social/family well-being (16.40 ± 2.24), emotional well-being (15.35 ± 2.30), functional well-being (17.30 ± 2.20), and head and neck cancer subscale (15.40 ± 2.01, P < 0.001) and eminently better immune indexes (P < 0.001) after treatment. During the 24-month follow-up, there were 2 recurrent cases (5.0%) and 2 cases (5.0%) with distant metastasis among the 40 patients in the experimental group; there were 8 recurrent cases (20.0%) and 7 cases (17.5%) with distant metastasis among the 40 patients in the control group. In the experimental group, the median survival period was 18 months and the 2-year survival rate was 97.5% (39/40). In the control group, the median survival period was 14 months and the 2-year survival rate was 85.0% (34/40). Among the 80 patients, 7 cases (8.75%) died and 73 cases (91.25%) survived. After conducting the single-factor analysis, remarkable differences in the cases of IV stage, quality of life after treatment, and immune indexes after treatment between the survival group and the death group were observed (P < 0.05). According to the multiple-factor analysis, the clinical stage and immune indexes were identified as the prognostic factors. Conclusion CIK cell therapy combined with camrelizumab can enhance the life quality and immune function of the patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, thus improving their prognoses.

Abstract
Platelet-derived growth factors (PDGFs) and PDGF receptors (PDGFRs) are expressed in a variety of tumors. Activation of the PDGF/PDGFR signaling pathway is associated with cancer proliferation, metastasis, invasion, and angiogenesis through modulating multiple downstream pathways, including phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase B pathway and mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase pathway. Therefore, targeting PDGF/PDGFR signaling pathway has been demonstrated to be an effective strategy for cancer therapy, and accordingly, some great progress has been made in this field in the past few decades. This review will focus on the PDGF isoforms and their binding with the related PDGFRs, the PDGF/PDGFR signaling and regulation, and especially present strategies and inhibitors developed for cancer therapy, and the related clinical benefits and side effects.

Abstract
Background Anlotinib is a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor mainly targeting angiogenesis signaling. The predictive marker of anlotinib’s efficacy remains elusive. This study was designed to explore the predictive marker of anlotinib in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods We prospectively enrolled 52 advanced NSCLC patients who underwent at least one line of targeted therapy or chemotherapy between August 2018 and March 2020. Patients were divided into durable responders (DR) and non-durable responders (NDR) based on the median progression-free survival (PFS, 176 days). The Olink Immuno-Oncology panel (92 proteins) was used to explore the predictive protein biomarkers in plasma samples before treatment (baseline) and on the first treatment evaluation (paired). Results At baseline, the response to anlotinib was not significantly associated with age, gender, smoke history, histology, oligo-metastases, EGFR mutations, and other clinical characteristics. The results of PFS-related protein biomarkers at baseline were all not satisfying. Then we assessed the changes of 92 proteins levels in plasma on the first treatment evaluation. We obtained a Linear discriminant analysis (LDA) model based on 7 proteins, with an accuracy of 100% in the original data and an accuracy of 89.2% in cross validation. The 7 proteins were CD70, MIC-A/B, LAG3, CAIX, PDCD1, MMP12, and PD-L2. Multivariate Cox analysis further showed that the changes of CD70 (HR 25.48; 95% CI, 4.90–132.41, P=0.000) and MIC-A/B (HR 15.04; 95% CI, 3.81–59.36, P=0.000) in plasma were the most significant prognostic factors for PFS. Conclusion We reported herein a LDA model based on the changes of 7 proteins levels in plasma before and after treatment, which could predict anlotinib responders among advanced NSCLC patients with an accuracy of 100%. Further studies are warranted to verify the prediction performance of the LDA model.

Abstract
Antibodies are a type of protein produced by active B cells in response to antigen stimulation. A series of monoclonal antibodies and neutralizing antibodies have been invented and put into clinical use because of their high therapeutic effect and bright developing insight. Patients with cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune diseases can all benefit from antibody therapy. However, the targeting aspects and potential mechanisms for treating these diseases differ. In the treatment of patients with infectious diseases such as COVID-19, neutralizing antibodies have been proposed as reliable vaccines against COVID-19, which target the ACE2 protein by preventing virus entry into somatic cells. Monoclonal antibodies can target immune checkpoints (e.g., PD-L1 and CTLA-4), tyrosine kinase and subsequent signaling pathways (e.g., VEGF), and cytokines in cancer patients (e.g. IL-6 and IL-1β). It is debatable whether there is any connection between the use of antibodies in these diseases. It would be fantastic to discover the related points and explain the burden for the limitation of cross-use of these techniques. In this review, we provided a comprehensive overview of the use of antibodies in the treatment of infectious disease and cancer patients. There are also discussions of their mechanisms and history. In addition, we discussed our future outlook on the use of antibodies.

Abstract
PURPOSE The objective of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) plus anlotinib as third-line treatment in extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). METHODS A total of 120 patients with ES-SCLC who were admitted to Shandong Cancer Hospital between January 2019 and December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into the observation group (n = 62) and the control group (n = 58) according to their different treatment plans. The observation group was given ICI plus anlotinib, while the control group was given anlotinib alone. The primary endpoint of the study was progression-free survival (PFS), and the secondary endpoints were the objective response rate (ORR) and disease control rate (DCR). An efficacy evaluation was carried out every 6 weeks. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify the prognostic factors. The main treatment-related adverse events were evaluated according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events version 5.0. RESULTS In the observation group and the control group, the DCRs were 87.1% and 72.4% (p = 0.044), and the ORRs were 19.4% and 6.9% (p = 0.045), respectively. The median PFS was longer in the observation group (7.5 months) than in the control group (4.6 months) (p = 0.0033). In Cox regression analysis, the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status score, brain metastases and metastatic sites were prognostic factors of ICI plus anlotinib. Compared with the control group, grade 1-2 immune-related pneumonia and hypothyroidism of patients in the observation group were significantly increased (p < 0.05), but grade 3-4 treatment-related adverse reactions were not significantly increased (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION ICI plus anlotinib showed promising efficacy and manageable toxicity in third-line treatment of ES-SCLC.
