Abstract
The pentavalent arsenic compound roxarsone (RSN) is used as a feed additive in poultry for rapid growth, eventually ending up in poultry litter. Poultry litter contains chicken manure, which plays a vital role as an affordable fertilizer by providing rich nutrients to agricultural land. Consequently, the extensive use of poultry droppings serves as a conduit for the spread of toxic forms of arsenic in the soil and surface water. RSN can be easily oxidized to release highly carcinogenic As(III) and As(IV) species. Thus, investigations were conducted for the sensitive detection of RSN electrochemically by developing a sensor material based on lanthanum manganese oxide (LMO) and functionalized carbon nanofibers (f-CNFs). The successfully synthesised LMO/f-CNF composite was confirmed by chemical, compositional, and morphological studies. The electrochemical activity of the prepared composite material was examined using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The obtained results confirmed that LMO/f-CNF showed enhanced electrocatalytic activity and improved current response with a good linear range (0.01-0.78 μM and 2.08-497 μM, respectively), exhibiting a low limit of detection (LOD) of 0.004 μM with a high sensitivity of 13.24 μA μM-1 cm-2 towards the detection of RSN. The noteworthy features of LMO/f-CNF composite with its superior electrochemical performance enabled reliable reproducibility, exceptional stability and reliable practical application in the analysis of tap water and food sample, affording a recovery range of 86.1-98.87%.

Abstract
Acetaminophen (AP) acts as supportive clinical therapy for fever and dysmenorrhea. An overdose of AP may result in severe adverse diseases, such as liver dysfunction. In addition, AP is a key-listed environmental pollutant, which is difficult to degrade in the environment and has serious effects on living bodies. Therefore, the simple and quantitative determination of AP is highly relevant today. In this work, tin dioxide (SnO2) nanoparticles with functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube (f-MWCNT) as a hybrid composite were prepared by hydrothermal-assisted synthesis. The composite material was characterized by various spectral, morphological, and electrochemical tests. Electrochemical investigations were conducted using a SnO2@f-MWCNT-reinforced electrode for the detection of AP. The composite electrode exhibited better functional properties, which facilitated electron transfer and enhanced electrical conductivity. The calculated low detection limit (LOD) of 0.36 nM is with a wide linear range of concentration from 0.001 to 673 µM. Additionally, the SnO2@f-MWCNT-modified electrode exhibited good anti-interference capability, repeatability, reproducibility, storage, and operational stability. The developed SnO2@f-MWCNT-modified electrode was applied to practical analysis in diverse water matrices (river, drinking, and pond) with acceptable recovery percentages. A synthesized nanoscale metal oxide electrocatalyst is of great interest and an active research area that serves as a foundation for the development of new, cost-effective electrochemical antibiotic drug sensors.

Abstract
Pharmaceutical pollution that imposes a health threat worldwide is making accurate and rapid detection crucial to prevent adverse effects. Herein, binder-free zinc oxide nanograins on carbon cloth (ZnO NGs@CC) have been synthesized hydrothermally and employed to fabricate a flexible electrochemical sensor for the quantification of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) that is typical pharmaceutical pollution. The characteristics of ZnO NGs@CC were investigated by various in-depth electron microscopic, spectroscopic and electroanalytical approaches. Compared with the pristine CC platform, the ZnO NGs@CC platform exhibits superior electrochemical performance in detecting HCQ with a large oxidation current at a low over-potential of +0.92 V with respect to the Ag/AgCl (Sat. KCl) reference electrode. With the support of desirable characteristics, the fabricated ZnO NGs@CC-based electrochemical sensor for HCQ detection displays good performances in terms of wide sensing range (0.5-116 μM), low detection limit (0.09 μM), high sensitivity (0.279 μA μM-1 cm-2), and strong selectivity. By the resulting 3D hierarchical nanoarchitecture, ZnO NGs@CC has progressive structural advantages that led to its excellent electrochemical performance in sensing applications. Furthermore, the electrochemical sensor is employed to detect HCQ in biological and environmental samples and also achieves good recovery rates. Thus, the designed ZnO NGs@CC demonstrates admirable electrochemical activity toward HCQ real-time monitoring and would be an excellent electrochemical platform for HCQ sensing.

Abstract
The ill effects of prolonged use of rifamycin antibiotics such as rifampicin accentuates its need for detection in the environment as well as in biological fluids. Antibiotics in water and soil are long-lasting, bio-accumulative, and hazardous to aquatic species as well as human health. To address this issue, a sensing platform has been developed using Molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) embedded on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) functionalized with β-cyclodextrin (β-cd) polymer. The formation of hybrid composite was validated with X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) with EDX analysis. The formation of microspheres were observed with hexagonal crystal system and P63/mmc space group. Furthermore, the composite was employed to fabricate an efficient electrochemical sensor for detecting the widely used antibiotic, rifampicin (RIF). The results reveal excellent activity of the sensor with a limit of detection (LOD) of 28 nM in a linear working range from 0.019 to 374.5 μM. The sensor also exhibited a high sensitivity of 11.64 μA μM-1 cm-2. Additionally, the sensor showed appreciable recovery range when monitored in real-samples such as human serum and urine, and industrial water, and fish samples.

Abstract
The quantification of 3-nitro-l-tyrosine (NO2-Tyr), an in vivo biomarker of nitrosative stress, is indispensable for the clinical intervention of various inflammatory disorders caused by nitrosative stress. By integrating the unique features of BiVO4 and MoS2 with matching bandgap energies, electrode materials with amplified response signals can be developed. In this regard, we introduce a hydrothermally synthesized bismuth vanadate sheathed molybdenum disulfide (MoS2@BiVO4) heterojunction as a highly sensitive electrode material for the determination of NO2-Tyr. Excellent electrochemical behavior perceived for the MoS2@BiVO4 augments the performance of the sensor and allows the measurement of NO2-Tyr in biological media without any time-consuming pretreatments. The synergistic interactions between BiVO4 and MoS2 heterojunctions contribute to low resistance charge transfer (Rct = 159.13 Ω·cm2), a reduction potential Epc = -0.58 V (vs Ag/AgCl), and a good response range (0.001-526.3 μM) with a lower limit of detection (0.94 nM) toward the detection of NO2-Tyr. An improved active surface area, reduced charge recombination, and high analyte adsorption contribute to the high loading of the biomarker for improved selectivity (in the presence of 10 interfering compounds), operational stability (1000 s), and reproducibility (six various modified electrodes). The proposed sensor was successfully utilized for the real-time determination of NO2-Tyr in water, urine, and saliva samples with good recovery values (±98.94-99.98%), ascertaining the reliability of the method. It is noteworthy that the electrochemical activity remains unaffected by other redox interferons, thus leading to targeted sensing applications.

Abstract
Binary metal oxides with carbon nanocomposites have received extensive attention as research hotspots in the electrochemistry field owing to their tunable properties and superior stability. This work illustrates the development of a facile sonochemical strategy for the synthesis of a copper bismuthate/graphene (GR) nanocomposite-modified screen-printed carbon electrode (CBO/GR/SPCE) for the electrochemical detection of catechol (CT). The formation of an as-prepared CBO/GR nanocomposite was comprehensively characterized. The electrochemical behavior of the CBO/GR/SPCE toward CT was investigated by voltammetry and amperometry techniques. The fabricated CBO/GR/SPCE manifests an excellent electrocatalytic performance toward CT with a lower peak potential and a higher current value compared to those of CBO/SPCE, GR/SPCE, and bare SPCE. It is attributed to enhanced electro-catalytic activity, synergetic effects, and good active sites of the CBO/GR nanocomposite. Under the electrochemical condition, the CBO/GR/SPCE displayed a wide linear sensing range, trace-level detection limit, acceptable sensitivity, and excellent selectivity. Furthermore, our proposed CBO/GR electrode was employed successfully for CT detection in water samples.

Abstract
The advancements in electrode materials with high efficiency has been prioritized to effectively monitor the presence of harmful pesticides concerning the environment. In such a way, we hydrothermally constructed a hybrid AgWO4-rGO nanocomposites for the rapid electrochemical detection of crisquat (CQT). The structural, compositional, morphological and topographical characterization for AgWO4-rGO nanocomposites is thoroughly performed to understand its electrocatalytic properties. The AgWO4-rGO nanocomposites are used as an electrode enhancer (rGO@AgWO4/GCE) for the electrochemical investigations towards CQT detection. The results indicated that the rGO@AgWO4/GCE possessed an excellent catalytic activity with a wide linear detection range 1-1108 μM coupled with an ultrasensitive limit of detection (LOD) 0.0661 μM for electrochemical CQT detection. The rGO@AgWO4/GCE CQT sensor also expressed remarkable sensitivity of 0.6306 μAμM-1cm-2 in addition to good selectivity and reproducibility. Furthermore, the commercial CQT, river water, tap water and washed vegetable water are used as a representative for real world analysis using rGO@AgWO4/GCE and results are highly appreciable for the real time CQT detection. Our work proposes a novel hybrid rGO@AgWO4 nanocomposites reinforced electrodes for ultra-trace level CQT detection with good reliability and can be advocated for real time detection of pesticides.

Abstract
Physiological storage disorders are caused by ineffective post-harvest handling of horticultural crops, particularly fruits. To address these post-harvest concerns, diphenylamine (DPAH•+) is widely used as a preservative to prevent fruit degradation and surface scald during storage around the world. Humans are negatively affected by the use of high concentrations of DPAH•+ because of the various health complications related to its exposure. As a result, accurate detection and quantification of DPAH•+ residues in treated fruits are critical. Rare earth metal orthovanadates, which have excellent physical and chemical properties, are potential materials for electrochemical sensors in this area. Herein, we present a simple and direct ultrasonication technique for the surfactant-assisted synthesis of praseodymium orthovanadate (PrVO4 or PrV) loaded on nickel iron layered double hydroxide (NiFe-LDH) synthesized with deep eutectic solvent assistance, as well as its application as an effective catalyst in the detection and degradation of DPAH•+ in fruits and water samples. The current work presents supreme electrochemical features of a PrV@NiFe-LDH-modified screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) where cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant-driven fabrication of PrV directs the formation of highly qualified engineered structures and the deep eutectic solvent based green synthesis of NiFe-LDH creates hierarchical lamellar structures following the principles of green chemistry. PrV and NiFe-LDH combine to produce a synergistic effect that improves the number of active sites, charge transfer kinetics, and electronic conductivity. Differential pulse voltammetry analysis of PrV@NiFe-LDH/SPCE reveals a dynamic working range (0.005-226.26 μM), increased sensitivity (133.13 μA μM-1 cm-2), enhanced photocatalytic activity, and low detection limit (0.001 μM), which are considered significant when compared with the former reported electrodes in the literature for the determination of DPAḢ+ for its real-time applications.

Abstract
The present report investigates the various MoO3 morphologies prepared via different approaches such as morphologies are cubic sheet, ribbon, and hexagonal sheet. These prepared nanostructures are modified as a MoO3/Ni-F electrode used to detect hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The influence of the morphology on the microstructural, morphological, electronic state, optical and electrochemical properties of MoO3 nanostructures are systematically studied. The recorded XRD spectra confirmed that the good crystalline nature with the orthorhombic crystal structure. The FESEM analysis shows that preparation approaches strongly influenced the MoO3 morphology. The elemental mapping and XPS analysis confirm the formation of MoO3. The obtained optical band gap values show that the MoO3 morphology-based bandgap values are 3.38, 3.17, and 2.94 eV. The modified MoO3/Ni-F electrode electrochemical impedance spectra show the CP-MoO3 has good conductivity. Moreover, the CP-MoO3/Ni-F electrode has a wide detection window, long-term stability, reproducibility, and a low detection limit is 1.2 μM. Abstract
Rational design and construction of the finest electrocatalytic materials are important for improving the performance of electrochemical sensors. Spinel bioxides based on cobalt manganate (CoMn2O4) are of particular importance for electrochemical sensors due to their excellent catalytic performance. In this study, three-dimensional CoMn2O4 with the petal-free, flowerlike structure is synthesized by facile hydrothermal and calcination methods for the electrochemical sensing of roxarsone (RXS). The effect of calcination temperature on the characteristics of CoMn2O4 was thoroughly studied by in-depth electron microscopic, spectroscopic, and analytical methods. Compared to previous reports, CoMn2O4-modified screen-printed carbon electrodes display superior performance for the RXS detection, including a wide linear range (0.01-0.84 μM; 0.84-1130 μM), a low limit of detection (0.002 μM), and a high sensitivity (33.13 μA μM-1 cm-2). The remarkable electrocatalytic performance can be attributed to its excellent physical properties, such as good conductivity, hybrid architectures, high specific surface area, and rapid electron transportation. More significantly, the proposed electrochemical sensor presents excellent selectivity, good stability, and high reproducibility. Besides, the detection of RXS in river water samples using the CoMn2O4-based electrochemical sensor shows satisfactory recovery values in the range of 98.00-99.80%. This work opens a new strategy to design an electrocatalyst with the hybrid architecture for high-performance electrochemical sensing.

Abstract
Rare-earth metal orthovanadates have great technological relevance in the family of rare-earth compounds owing to their excellent physical and chemical properties. A significant number of studies have been carried out on this class of compounds to exploit their electrochemical properties in virtue of variable oxidation states. But holmium vanadate (HoV) and its morphology selective synthesis have not been considered, which can have potential applications similar to the rest of the family. In this work, we propose the synthesis of superior architectures of HoV with a functionalized boron nitride (f-BN) nanocomposite. The synergistic effect between HoV and f-BN can have a positive effect on the physical characteristics of the nanocomposite, which can be explored for its electrochemical capacity. Here, HoV incorporated with f-BN is explored for the electrochemical detection of Hg2+ ions, which is known for its toxicity-induced environmental health hazards. The structural and compositional revelation reveals higher conductivity and faster electron transfer in the composite, which facilitates a wide working range (0.02-53.8 and 64.73-295.4 μM), low limit of detection (5 nM), higher sensitivity (66.6 μA μM-1 cm-2), good selectivity over 10-fold higher concentration of other interfering compounds compared to Hg2+ ion concentration, and good cycles stability (30 segments) toward Hg2+ ion detection. This also envisages the morphology selective synthesis and utilization of other rare-earth metals, whose electrochemical capacities are unexplored.
