Abstract
The dried blood spot (DBS) is a novel alternative matrix used in 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It is capable of distinguishing anabolic androgenic steroid (AAS) esters without the gas chromatography-combustion-isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC-C-IRMS) confirmation. In this study, a method for detection of 22 anabolic steroid esters in DBS based on ultra-high liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS) with parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) was developed and validated. Methoxylamine was used as the derivatization reagent to improve the sensibility. Specificity, limit of detection (LOD), linearity, stability, robustness, and carryover were evaluated. Steroid esters are nine testosterone esters, six nandrolone esters, five boldenone esters, methenolone enanthate, and trenbolone acetate. UV spectra were determined by HPLC. And density functional theory (DFT) calculation methods could provide theoretical UV spectra data. Three basis set of B3LYP/6-31G(d), B3LYP/6-31+G(d, p), and WB97XD/6-31+G(d, p) were used for the geometry optimizations and TD-DFT calculation. The average deviation (%RD) of B3LYP/6-31+G(d) for all 44 ester oximes are less than 3.0%. This study for the first time provides a method to tentatively identify the 44 E/Z configurations of steroid oxime products.

Abstract
An ultrasound-assisted green protocol for one-pot synthesis of a new series of pharmaceutically relevant pyrazolo quinoline derivatives (4a-t) were synthesized, characterized, and evaluated using DFT and biological activities. Pyrazolo quinoline derivatives (4a-t) were synthesized via a three-component tandem reaction of 1,3-dicarbonyl compound (1a-b), substituted aromatic aldehyde (2a-o), and 5-amino indazole (3a) in the presence of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [BMIM]BF4 ionic liquid in ethanol at ambient conditions. The main purpose of the present work is selective functionalization of pyrazolo quinoline (4a-t) core excluding another potential parallel reaction under environmentally benign reaction conditions. The present protocol shows features such as amphiphilic behavior of ionic liquid during reaction transformation, and reusability of the [BMIM]BF4 ionic liquid under mild reaction condition. All newly derived compounds were evaluated for their in vitro anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Among them, compound 4c showed encouraging antioxidant activity compared with standard antioxidant ascorbic acid, and compounds 4n and 4r displayed very good anti-inflammatory activity compared with a standard drug. In this study, a theoretical computational density functional study was also executed to perform the geometry optimizations, frontier molecular orbital approach, and molecular electrostatic potential (MESP). The DFT study was carried out with the basis set DFT/B3LYP/6-31+G (d, p) level of theory. The quantum chemical descriptors (QCDS) and MESP diagrams were plotted to examine the biological reactivities of representative pyrazolo quinolines (4a-t).

Abstract
The molecular structural dimerization of biologically potent 2-chloro-5-fluoro phenol (2C5FP) is optimized. A combined experimental and theoretical characteristics of vibrational spectral determinations (NMR, FT-IR and Raman) on 2-chloro-5-fluoro phenol (2C5FP) were used at DFT-B3LYP/6–31++G (d,p) level of computation. A close coherence is achieved when experimentally observed wave numbers are compared with calculated wave numbers by refinement of the scale factors. Calculated values of global chemical descriptors of the present molecule reveal significant molecular stability and chemical reactivity. Non-Linear optical (NLO) property of the present molecule is investigated by determining the second order non linear parameter of first hyperpolarizability β. Moreover, hydrogen bond and thermodynamic parameters at various temperatures are determined and discussed. Investigated compound 2C5FP possesses a better antibacterial activity against Echerichia coli, Streptococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aureus, and Staphylococcus aureus, respectively. The title molecule is subjected to molecular docking studies with two different proteins, namely Staphylococcus aureus Tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase (PDB ID: 1JIL) and human dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (hDHODH) (PDB ID: 6CJF). The results of molecular docking analysis support the antibacterial activity and demonstrate a strong interaction with the DHODH inhibitor.

Abstract
In recent papers, it is found that the silver-[6]Helicene complex can be used as a cancer drug but the interaction silver-hexaHelicene has not yet proven. The idea of this paper is to investigate the complexation process of the [6]Helicene by the silver metal (Ag+) using three types of adsorbates. Indeed, the adsorption of silver chloride, silver nitrate and silver sulfide into the sensor films deposited on the QCM electrode are measured at three temperatures (293–333 K). Films of the [6]Helicene were deposited on the QCM resonators using spin coating method in order to obtain uniform and homogenous sensor surface. Experimental results indicated that the [6]Helicene can form a stable complex with the silver ion and that the AgCl is the appropriate adsorbate for the complexation achievement. Actually, an advanced modeling analysis by means of statistical physics adsorption models is applied to explore the new vision of the complextion system. The values of the models parameters are deduced from fitting the experimental data with the developed models. They result in confirming the experimental findings by comparing the complexation energies of the three examined systems. In particular, for the silver nitrate, the Van-der-Waals parameters explained the isotherms drop at high concentration through the lateral interactions between the adsorbates. The adsorption energies analysis showed the highest interaction AgCl-[6]Helicene. Density functional theory (DFT) simulations showed that chemical bonds take place during the adsorption of silver chloride on hexaHelicene which confirms that the [6]Helicene can function as a chiral molecular tweezer of the univalent cationic silver.

Abstract
The present work reports the application of density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP with various basis sets which provide the relationship between the structural and spectral properties of 4-ethoxy-2, 3-difluoro benzamide (4EDFB). A Complete vibrational analysis has been performed at the density functional theory (DFT) method with various basis sets in the ground state. The results of vibrational wave numbers are in good agreement with the experimental spectra (Infrared and Raman). Energy gap of the molecule is evaluated using frontier molecular orbital energies (HOMO-LUMO). The frontier energy gap value reveals the chemical reactivity and intermolecular charge transfer occur within the molecule. Global chemical descriptors provide the local and global softness and local reactivity parameters used to identify the nucleophilic and electrophilic behavior of a specific site within the compound. The dimer structure is performed to evaluate the intermolecular hydrogen bond (O-H-O). The title molecule is capable of receiving second harmonic generation (SHG) is due to high value of hyperpolarizability indicates the NLO activity of the molecule. Apart from NLO entities, aromaticity and the molecular electrostatic potential surface (MEP) explain the hydrogen bonding and provide the reactive behavior of the molecule. The Mulliken population analysis leads to redistribution of electron density in the ring.

Abstract
We have introduced a non-hormonal hyperglycemia treatment strategy by using an injectable glucose-responsive boronic acid- zwitterionic nanogel. The synthesized system, similar to an artificial liver, is capable of storing/releasing glucose at high/low blood glucose concentrations. In vivo performance revealed that the injection of the nanogels can effectively regulate blood glucose in type 1 diabetic rats for at least 6 hours.

Abstract
Rapid development of research on the chemistry of boronic acids is connected with their applications in organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, materials’ chemistry, biology and medicine. In many applications Lewis acidity of boron atoms plays an important role. Special group of arylboronic acids are fluoro-substituted compounds, in which the electron withdrawing character of fluorine atoms influences their properties. The present paper deals with fluoro-substituted boronic acids and their derivatives: esters, benzoxaboroles and boroxines. Properties of these compounds, i.e. acidity, hydrolytic stability, structures in crystals and in solution as well as spectroscopic properties are discussed. In the next part examples of important applications are given.

Abstract
Phenylboronic acids (PBAs) are an important class of compounds with diverse applications in synthetic, biological, medicinal, and materials chemistry. In this investigation we report structural and thermochemical parameters for several monosubstituted ortho, meta, and para PBAs, R-B(OH)2 (R = C6H5, C6H4CH3, C6H4NH2, C6H4OH, and C6H4F). Equilibrium geometries of all the PBAs discussed in this article were obtained using second-order Møller-Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) with the Dunning-Woon aug-cc-pVDZ basis set; heats of formation (HOF) were calculated at the Gaussian-3 (G3) level of theory. The endo-exo conformers of all the positional isomers of these PBAs were lowest in energy. Using HOF for the monosubstituted PBAs calculated at the G3 level of theory, in conjunction with the experimental HOF for benzene, toluene, aniline, phenol, and fluorobenzene, the values of [Formula: see text] for the transfer processes C6H6 + C6H4X-B(OH)2 → C6H5X + C6H5-B(OH)2 (X = CH3, NH2, OH, and F) are found to be in good agreement with values of [Formula: see text] calculated at the MP2(FC)/aug-cc-pVTZ//MP2(FC)/aug-cc-pVTZ computational level; the bonding in the reactants and products for these transfer reactions are well-matched and thermochemical calculations at this level are expected to be very accurate, providing checks on the G3 HOF calculations.
