Abstract
Pesticides have an important role in rising the overall productivity and yield of agricultural foods by eliminating and controlling insects, pests, fungi, and various plant-related illnesses. However, the overuse of pesticides has caused pesticide pollution of water bodies and food products, along with disruption of environmental and ecological systems. In this regard, developing low-cost, simple, and rapid-detecting approaches for the accurate, rapid, efficient, and on-site screening of pesticide residues is an ongoing challenge. Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) possesses the benefits of great sensitivity, the capability to resolve several analytes using different emission wavelengths or redox potentials, and excellent control over the light radiation in time and space, making it a powerful strategy for sensing various pesticides. Cost-effective and simple ECL systems allow sensitive, selective, and accurate quantification of pesticides in agricultural fields. Particularly, the development and progress of nanomaterials, aptamer/antibody recognition, electric/photo-sensing, and their integration with electrochemiluminescence sensing technology has presented the hopeful potential in reporting the residual amounts of pesticides. Current trends in the application of nanoparticles are debated, with an emphasis on sensor substrates using aptamer, antibodies, enzymes, and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). Different strategies are enclosed in labeled and label-free sensing along with luminescence determination approaches (signal-off, signal-on, and signal-switch modes). Finally, the recent challenges and upcoming prospects in this ground are also put forward.

Abstract
The design and fabrication of a simple 3D-printed platform with embedded electrochemiluminescence (ECL) detection for sibutramine determination is described. The microfluidic platform was fabricated by the fused deposition 3D-printing technique with polylactic acid filament, facilitated by computer-aided design (CAD). A three-electrode system was integrated into the device using graphene carbon paste as a working electrode, Ag/AgCl wire as a reference, and a graphite rod as a counter electrode. A further modification was carried out by applying bimetallic Au-Pt nanoparticle-supported multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT-Au-Pt) on the working electrode surface to enhance the electrocatalytic performance by exploiting the unique properties of nanomaterials. The analytical feasibility of the CAD-ECL sensor was tested through its application for the determination of sibutramine in dietary supplements. Under the optimized conditions, based on the enhancing effect of luminol emission, the device exhibited a linear calibration curve of the logarithmic sibutramine concentration versus ECL intensity in the range 5 × 10-3 to 1 ng mL-1. The limit of detection was 3 pg mL-1 with a relative standard deviation of 1.7% (n = 15). The 3D-printed prototype can be successfully applied to a small-scale analysis in a simple and cost-effective approach.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In recent decades, the use of pesticides in agriculture has increased at a fast pace, highlighting safety problems for the environment and human health, which in turn has made it necessary to develop new detection and decontamination systems for pesticides. METHODS A new qualitative test capable of detecting the presence of pesticides on fruits and vegetables by using thermostable enzymes was discovered, and the test was carried out on apples and aubergines. The contaminating pesticides were extracted from fruits with acetonitrile and analyzed with a biosensor system based on the thermostable esterase EST2 immobilized on a nitrocellulose filter. This enzyme is irreversibly inhibited mainly in the presence of organophosphates pesticides. Therefore, by observing esterase activity inhibition, we revealed the presence of residual pesticides on the fruits and vegetables. RESULTS By analyzing the rate of esterase activity inhibition, we predicted that residual pesticides are present on the surface of the fruits. When we cleaned the fruits by washing them in the presence of the phosphotriesterase SsoPox before the detection of the esterase activity on filters, we observed a full recovery of the activity for apples and 30% for aubergines, indicating that the enzymatic decontamination of organophosphates pesticides took place. CONCLUSIONS The reported method permitted us to assess the pesticides present on the vegetables and their decontamination.

An electrochemiluminescence sensor for sensitive detection of malathion based on g-C 3N 4-CdTe composite nanomaterials. Mikrochim Acta 2022; 189:413. Abstract
A self-enhanced electrochemical luminescence (ECL) composite material g-C3N4-CdTe QDs was prepared. The combination of g-C3N4 and CdTe QDs can amplify the ECL signal and improve the stability. Based on this discovery, g-C3N4-CdTe QDs and acetylcholine esterase (AChE) were used to construct an ECL sensor for organophosphorus pesticides (OP) detection. The sensor showed a strong initial ECL signal in PBS containing S2O82-. It is because that g-C3N4 not only acts as a co-reaction promoter to amplify the ECL signal of the CdTe QDs/S2O82- system but also acts as a carrier with large specific surface area to adsorb more CdTe QDs and improve the sensitivity of the sensor. The reaction of AChE and acetylthiocholine (ATCl) was hindered by organophosphorus pesticides (OPs). The ECL signal was enhanced by the addition of OPs, and a linear relationship was displayed between the increasing value and the concentration of malathion. A good linear range from 2.52 × 10-13 to 2.52 × 10-8 mol L-1 was obtained and the limit of detection was 8.4 × 10-14 mol L-1 under optimized experimental conditions. The results indicated that the sensor had promising applications for the detection of OPs in vegetable samples.

Abstract
A novel solid-state electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor for chlorpyrifos (CPF) detection was constructed based on zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 electrospinning nanofibers (ZIF-67 NFs). Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs), ZIF-67 NFs, tris(2,2'-bipyridyl) ruthenium(II) [Ru(bpy)32+], and Nafion were successively deposited on the surface of the electrode. Ag NPs played a role in promoting electron transfer, and ZIF-67 NFs played a role in fixing Ru(bpy)32+ and promoting electron transfer due to its large specific surface area and porosity. Nafion formed a film on the outermost layer of the electrode to further improve the stability of the system. Therefore, the modified electrode showed stable and obvious ECL signal in PBS solution containing 10 μL 0.01 M TprA (pH 8.0). CPF quenched the ECL signal of the system, and the quenching value was linear with the logarithm of CPF concentration in the range 1.0 × 10-13 to 1.0 × 10-6 M. The detection limit was 3.3 × 10-14 M (S/N = 3). In this study, ZIF-67 NFs were used as an ECL promoter for the first time, broadening the application range of ZIF-67 NFs.

Abstract
In general, suitable double luminophores and their coreactants are necessary for constructing electrochemiluminescence (ECL) ratio strategy. However, the complexity of matching double luminophores and the stability and repeatability problem suffered by introducing exogenous coreactant would greatly limit the application of ratio detection. An original single-luminophore-based ECL ratio sensing was developed excluding any exogenous coreactants in this work. The poly [9,9-bis(3'-(N,N-dimethylamino)propyl)- 2,7-fluorene]-alt-2,7-(9,9-dioctylfluorene)] nanoparticles (PFN NPs) were explored to emit two anodic ECL signals. One centered at + 1.25 V (ECL-1) with the scanning potential of 0 ~ + 1.25 V and the other at + 1.95 V (ECL-2) with the scanning potential of 0 ~ + 1.95 V. ECL-1 showed a very strong emission without any exogenous coreactant. Importantly, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) was able to efficiently weaken ECL-1 but strengthen ECL-2. When organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) were absent, the immobilized acetylcholinesterase-choline oxidase (AChE-ChOx) would catalyze the substrate acetylthiocholine chloride (ATCl) to produce H2O2, resulting in a quenched ECL-1 and an enhanced ECL-2. With the introduction of OPs, ECL-1 increased while ECL-2 accordingly decreased as OPs prohibited production of H2O2 by inhibiting activity of AChE. Highly sensitive ECL ratio detection for OPs was realized based on the change of the ratio of two signals. The dual anode emission properties of PFN NPs coupled with the opposite regulation of H2O2 on the two signals paved a new avenue for potentially tunable ECL ratio sensing strategy, and showed enormous potential applications for OPs analysis.

Abstract
Pharmaceutical and food pollutants have threatened global health. Pharmacotherapy has left a positive impression in the field of health and life of people and animals. However, the many unresolved problems brought along with residues of pharmaceuticals in the environmental and food. Consumption of the world's freshwater resources, toxic chemicals, air pollution, plastic waste directly affects water and soil resources. Pesticides have a wide role in pollutants. Therefore, the determination of pesticides is significant to eliminate their negative effects on living things. Nowadays, there are many analytical methods available. However, new analysis methods are still being researched due to certain limitations of traditional methods. Electrochemical sensors have drawn attention because of their superior properties, such as short analysis time, affordability, high sensitivity, and selectivity. The development of new analytical strategies for assessing risks from pharmaceutical to food pollutants in water and soil sources is important for the measurement of different pollutants. Moreover, the 2D-carbon nanomaterials used in the development of electrochemical sensors are widely utilized to enlarge the surface area, increase porosity, and make easy immobilization. Graphene (graphene derivations) and carbon nanotubes integrated nanosensors are widely used for the determination of pesticides. 2D-carbon nanomaterials can be tailored according to the purpose of the study. The characterization and synthesis methods of 2D-carbon nanomaterials are widely explained. Furthermore, enzyme nanobiosensors, especially Acetylcholinesterase (AChE), are widely used to determine pesticides. The three main topics are focused on in this review: 2D-carbon nanomaterials, pesticides that threaten life, and the application of 2D-carbon nanomaterials-based electrochemical sensors. The various developed 2D-carbon nanomaterials-based electrochemical sensors were applied in pharmaceutical forms, fruits, tap/lake water, beverages, and soils sources. This work aims to indicate the recently published paper related to pesticide analysis and highlight the importance of 2D-nanomaterials on sensors.

Abstract
Pentacene is a well-known conjugated organic molecule with high mobility and a sensitive photo response. It is widely used in electronic devices, such as in organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs), organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), photodetectors, and smart sensors. With the development of flexible and wearable electronics, the deposition of good-quality pentacene films in large-scale organic electronics at the industrial level has drawn more research attention. Several methods are used to deposit pentacene thin films. The thermal evaporation technique is the most frequently used method for depositing thin films, as it has low contamination rates and a well-controlled deposition rate. Solution-processable methods such as spin coating, dip coating, and inkjet printing have also been widely studied because they enable large-scale deposition and low-cost fabrication of devices. This review summarizes the deposition principles and control parameters of each deposition method for pentacene and its derivatives. Each method is discussed in terms of experimentation and theory. Abstract
In this study, a novel and innovative enzyme-free electrochemiluminescence (ECL) pesticide probe based on a ternary nanocomposite, CuS/CQDs/g-C3N4NS, was demonstrated for the accurate monitoring of chlorpyrifos. Boron nitride quantum dots were introduced as a new and effective coreactant in comparison with other coreactants, such as hydrogen peroxide, peroxydisulfate, and tripropylamine, in the negative potential range for the first time. The nanocomposite as a promoted luminophore was synthesized by a one-pot microwave route. Carbon quantum dots and copper sulfide nanostructures were truly incorporated on the porous graphitized carbon nitride, which displayed a good cooperative effect on the signal improvement. CuS as a co-reaction accelerator and CQDs with a superior luminescence effect produced more radical species, and thus, the ECL signal was amplified. Upon increasing the appropriate concentration of this coreactant in electrolyte media, the signal intensity of the nanocomposite increases. A low detection limit of 3.0 × 10-16 M and a wide range from 2.0 × 10-15 to 7.0 × 10-9 M were gained. Also, the fabricated pesticide sensor presented excellent repeatability for 20 consecutive optical signals, with a RSD of about 1.4%. Owing to its high proficiency, the developed sensor was applied as a new probe for chlorpyrifos analysis in water and fruit samples.

Abstract
In this work, a novel electrochemiluminescence (ECL) aptasensor was structured for the detection of four organophosphorus pesticides (OPs). Firstly, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were used to create a favorable loading interface for the fixation of tris (2, 2'-bipyridyl) ruthenium (II) (Ru (bpy)32+). At the same time, copper (core)-gold (shell) bimetallic nanoparticles (Cu@Au NPs) were synthesized in the aqueous phase for the sensor construction. Gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) could promote the electrochemiluminescence intensity of Ru (bpy)32+ with high efficiency by catalyzing the oxidation process of tri-n-propylamine (TPrA). Compared with the Au NPs, Cu@Au NPs increased the solid loading of Au NPs by virtue of the large specific surface area of copper nanoparticles (Cu NPs), which could further improve the sensitivity of aptasensor. When OPs were added, the ECL intensity was significantly reduced, and the concentration of OPs could be detected through the ECL intensity. Under the optimum conditions, the aptasensor had a wider dynamic range and ultra-low detection limit for the detection of four pesticides: profenofos, isocarbophos, phorate, and omethoate, and their detection limits were 3 × 10-4 ng/mL, 3 × 10-4 ng/mL, 3 × 10-3 ng/mL, and 3 × 10-2 ng/mL respectively (S/N = 3). The aptasensor had the merits of good stability, reproducibility, and specificity, and had a favorable recovery rate in detecting OPs residues in vegetables. This work provided an effective method for the construction of a simple, rapid, and sensitive biosensor.

Abstract
The emissive properties of two Ru(II) complexes, [Ru(dmbipy)2L1][PF6]2 (1) and [Ru2(dmbipy)4L2][PF6]4 (2), (where L1 and L2 are π-extended phenanthroline-based ligands and dmbipy = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine) have been explored for dual applications, namely, deep-red light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensors for the detection of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) that include chlorpyrifos (CPS). A simple single-layer deep-red LEC device comprising 2 is reported that outperforms both its mononuclear derivative 1 and all previously reported dinuclear LECs, with a maximum brightness of 524 cd/m2, an external quantum efficiency of 0.62%, and a turn-on voltage of 3.2 V. Optoelectronic studies reveal that the ECL response of 2 is improved when compared to its mononuclear counterpart 1 and benchmark [Ru(bipy)3]2+ (3). Modified glassy carbon electrodes coated with 2 are highly sensitive deep-red ECL sensors that facilitate the detection of CPS directly from river water and fruit samples without any complex pretreatment steps, operating over a broad logarithmic concentration range, with a low detection limit.

Abstract
Developing a rapid and accurate strategy of sensing Dufulin is a vital challenge for risk assessment and food crops along with its spreading usage. Herein a dye-encapsulated azoterephthalate metal-organic framework (MOF)-based fluorescent sensing system was designed for Dufulin analysis by acid phosphatase (ACP) enzyme-controlled collapse of MOF framework and subsequent release of the encapsulated dye. The fluorescence intensity of the DMOF/AAP/ACP system was negatively related to the dosage of Dufulin (0-5 μg mL-1) with detection limit of 2.96 ng mL-1. The sensing system able to rapidly and sensitively sense the activity of ACP and Dufulin, and was also applicable for assessment of the real samples including paddy water and soil, polished rice and cucumber. Accordingly, this study illustrated the feasibility and the potential of MOF-derived nanosensors for improving pesticide analysis and opening up the design of the enzyme-based probes for pesticide sensing in environmental assessment and food safety.

Abstract
Accurately detect the residues of organophosphate pesticides (OPs) in food and environment is critical to our daily lives. In this study, we developed a novel acetylcholinesterase (AChE) biosensor based on Au-Tb alloy nanospheres (NSs) for rapid and sensitive detection of OPs for the first time. Au-Tb alloy NSs that with good conductivity and biocompatibility were produced with a mild hydrothermal. Under optimal conditions, the AChE biosensor was obtained by a simple assembly process, with a big linear range (10-13-10-7M) and the limit of detection was 2.51 × 10-14M for the determination of methyl parathion. Moreover, the determination of methyl parathion with the prepared biosensor presented a high sensitivity, outstanding repeatability and superior stability compared with other reported biosensors. Through the determination of tap water and Yanming lake samples, it was proved that the modified biosensor with satisfactory recoveries (96.76%-108.6%), and are realizable in the determination of OPs in real samples.

Bifunctional Moderator-Powered Ratiometric Electrochemiluminescence Enzymatic Biosensors for Detecting Organophosphorus Pesticides Based on Dual-Signal Combined Nanoprobes. Abstract
The bifunctional moderator is urgently needed in the field of ratiometric electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensing since it can mediate simultaneously two ECL signals to conveniently realize their opposite change trend. This work designed a novel dual-signal combined nanoprobe with carboxyl-functionalized poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-co-(1,4-benzo-{2,1',3}-thiadazole)] nanoparticles (c-PFBT NPs) as the anodic ECL probe and L-cysteine capped CdS quantum dots (L-CdS QDs) as the cathodic ECL probe, which performed a dual-signal output capability without any additional coreactants. More importantly, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) produced in situ by enzyme-catalyzed reaction was developed as a bifunctional moderator for simultaneously regulating two signals. The dual-signal combined nanoprobe (c-PFBT NPs@CdS QDs) served as the matrix to immobilize acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and choline oxidase for organophosphorus (OPs) analysis. In the absence of OPs, H2O2 was produced by catalyzing the substrate acetylthiocholine (ATCl) with enzymes and it quenched the anodic ECL signal from c-PFBT NPs and simultaneously promoted the cathodic ECL signal from L-CdS QDs. When OPs was present, the activity of AChE was inhibited, the anodic signal would increase, and the cathodic signal would accordingly decrease. The integration of the bifunctional moderator H2O2 and dual-signal combined nanoprobe c-PFBT NPs@CdS QDs not only provides an attractive ECL platform for enzymatic sensing involving the generation or consumption of H2O2 but also paves a new pathway for other ratiometric ECL systems involving enzyme catalytic amplification for detecting antigens, antibodies, DNA, RNA, etc.

Abstract
Given the relevance of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) with food safety, it is highly urgent to develop sensitive and reliable sensors for OPs. However, most of the OP sensors are developed based on colorimetric and fluorescent techniques, which are limited to severe interference of color and fluorescence from pigments and organic acids in agricultural crops. Herein, we develop an inorganic recognizer-based homogeneous electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor for the highly sensitive and credible determination of OPs based on manganese dioxide and tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium [Ru(bpy)3]2+. Through electrostatic interaction, manganese dioxide nanoflakes-[Ru(bpy)3]2+ nanocomposites (MnNFs-Ru) are formed and exhibit a weak ECL signal due to the confinement of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ in MnNFs-Ru. Interestingly, MnNFs-Ru are capable of recognizing thiols due to the analyte-initiated reduction of MnNFs into Mn2+ and release of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ from MnNFs-Ru into solution. Further, MnNFs-Ru are employed for the homogeneous ECL determination of OPs, where acetylcholinesterase (AChE) catalyzes the hydrolysis of acetylthiocholine (ATCh) into thiocholine, which in turn decomposes MnNFs of MnNFs-Ru into Mn2+, and OPs inhibit AChE activity. This study widens the application of inorganic recognizers from colorimetry/fluorescence to homogeneous ECL and effectively avoids the interference of color and fluorescence, opening up a new path to the development of high-performance OP sensors and supplying a promising tool for guaranteed OP-related food safety.

Abstract
Herein, an innovative enzyme free electrochemiluminescence chlorpyrifos sensor was reported based on the incorporation of ternary nanocomposite (ruthenium nanobeads/silver nanoparticles/graphene oxide) on the surface of glassy carbon electrode. The silver nanoparticles as a robust signal enhancing agent were well deposited on the modified graphene oxide/glassy carbon electrode and exhibited supreme electrocatalytic proficiency. Then, Ru(bipy)32+ species in bead-like nanoparticles were uniformly anchored on the surface of the modified electrode with the help of chitosan, as a good crosslinking agent. Boron nitride quantum dots as a new coreactant species showed the excellent proficiency for signal enhancement of the fabricated electrode. The fabricated electrode was successfully used as an ultra-sensitive sensor for trace analysis of chlorpyrifos by ECL technique. The wide linear range and the low detection limit were obtained from 5.0 × 10-15 to 4.2 × 10-9 M and 6.5 × 10-16 M, respectively.

Abstract
Halogenated organic compounds are a particular group of contaminants consisting of a large number of substances, and of great concern due to their persistence in the environment, potential for bioaccumulation and toxicity. Some of these compounds have been classified as persistent organic pollutants (POPs) under The Stockholm Convention and many toxicity assessments have been conducted on them previously. In this work we provide an overview of enzymatic assays used in these studies to establish toxic effects and dose-response relationships. Studies in vivo and in vitro have been considered with a particular emphasis on the impact of halogenated compounds on the activity of relevant enzymes to the humans and the environment. Most information available in the literature focuses on chlorinated compounds, but brominated and fluorinated molecules are also the target of increasing numbers of studies. The enzymes identified can be classified as enzymes: i) the activities of which are affected by the presence of halogenated organic compounds, and ii) those involved in their metabolisation/detoxification resulting in increased activities. In both cases the halogen substituent seems to have an important role in the effects observed. Finally, the use of these enzymes in biosensing tools for monitoring of halogenated compounds is described.

Abstract
In recent years, there has been an increase in pesticide use to improve crop production due to the growth of agricultural activities. Consequently, various pesticides have been present in the environment for an extended period of time. This review presents a general description of recent advances in the development of methods for the quantification of pesticides used in agricultural activities. Current advances focus on improving sensitivity and selectivity through the use of nanomaterials in both sensor assemblies and new biosensors. In this study, we summarize the electrochemical, optical, nano-colorimetric, piezoelectric, chemo-luminescent and fluorescent techniques related to the determination of agricultural pesticides. A brief description of each method and its applications, detection limit, purpose—which is to efficiently determine pesticides—cost and precision are considered. The main crops that are assessed in this study are bananas, although other fruits and vegetables contaminated with pesticides are also mentioned. While many studies have assessed biosensors for the determination of pesticides, the research in this area needs to be expanded to allow for a balance between agricultural activities and environmental protection.

Abstract
The hexahistidine-tagged organophosphorus hydrolase (OPH6His) has been immobilized on a Zr-MOF, namely UiO-66-NH2. The resulting enzyme-MOF composite was used as a carrier to facilitate the hydrolysis of an organophosphate pesticide, i.e., methyl parathion in to p-nitrophenol (PNP). The formation of PNP took place in direct proportion to the added pesticide concentration. Coumarin1 (7-diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin) was then introduced in the reaction mixture as a reporter fluorescent molecule. As PNP acted to quench the fluorescence of coumarin1, it became possible to detect methyl parathion over a wide concentration range of 10-106 ng/mL with an achievable limit of quantification as 10 ng/mL. The immobilization of OPH6His on the surface of UiO-66-NH2 was found to endow an improvement in the enzymatic activity by about 37%. The OPH6His/UiO-66-NH2 conjugate was reusable for at least up to eight times and also found stable toward long-term storage (minimum 60 days). The potential practical utility of the above proposed sensing method has been demonstrated by employing it for an accurate analysis of pesticide-spiked food samples.

Abstract
In this work, the electrochemiluminscence system of nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs) and K2S2O8 was built for the determination of crystal violet (CV). Meanwhile, a carboxylic carbon nanotubes modified glassy carbon electrode (CCNTs/GCE) was used as an ECL sensor. Thanks to the excellent electron transfer ability and large surface area of CCNTs, the ECL signal of N-GQDs@S2O82- was remarkablely amplified. With the presence of a low concentration of CV, a distinct decrease of the ECL signal was observed due to a quenching effect of CV on the ECL emission. Moreover, the quenched ECL intensity responded linearly to the logarithm of CV concentration within the range of 0.05 - 5 μmol/L, with a LOD of 45 nmol/L (S/N = 3). The proposed ECL system exhibited high sensitivity and specificity to CV, which was successfully applied in the practical detection of CV in real water samples from a local fishpond farm.

Visual detection of mixed organophosphorous pesticide using QD-AChE aerogel based microfluidic arrays sensor. Biosens Bioelectron 2019; 136:112-117. Abstract
In this paper, we present a simple strategy to fabricate a sensitive fluorescence microfluidic sensor based on quantum dots (QDs) aerogel and acetylcholinesterase enzyme (AChE) for organophosphate pesticides (OPs) detection The detection is based on the change of fluorescence intensity of QDs aerogel, which will be partly quenched as a consequence of the hydrolytic reaction of acetylthiocholine (ATCh) catalyzed by the AChE, and then the fluorescence of QDs aerogel is recovered due to decreasing of the enzymatic activity in the presence of OPs. The QDs-AChE aerogel based microfluidic arrays sensor provided good sensitivity for rapid detection of OPs with a detection limit of 0.38 pM, while the detection range is from 10-5 to 10-12 M. Due to the result of random orientations of AChE in the 3D porous aerogel nano-structure, the sensor presents similar calibration curves to difference pesticides, which promises the ability of the sensor to monitor total OPs of mixture. This determination sensor shows a low detection limit, wide linear range, and highly accurate determination of total OPs and carbamate content. Finally, we show the proposed sensor can be used to monitor of simple OPs and mixture in spiked fruit samples. This novel QDs-AChE aerogel sensor has an extremely high sensitivity and large detection range, it is a promising tool for accurate, rapid and cost-effective detection of various OP residues on agricultural products.

Abstract
Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (electrochemiluminescence, ECL) generates species at electrode surfaces, which undergoes electron-transfer reactions and forms excited states to emit light. It has become a very powerful analytical technique and has been widely used in such as clinical testing, biowarfare agent detection, and pharmaceutical analysis. This review focuses on the current trends of molecular recognition-based biosensing methods for pharmaceutical analysis since 2010. It introduces a background of ECL and presents the recent ECL developments in ECL immunoassay (ECLIA), immunosensors, enzyme-based biosensors, aptamer-based biosensors, and molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP)-based sensors. At last, the future perspective for these analytical methods is briefly discussed.

Abstract
A novel solid-state electrochemiluminescence (ECL) quenching sensor was constructed for determination of brilliant blue FCF (BB FCF). Under a simple electropolymerization step, poly(sulfosalicylic acid) (PSSA) film attached luminophore Ru(bpy)32+ was successfully formed on the surface of a glass carbon electrode [Ru(bpy)32+-PSSA/GCE], which exhibited excellent ECL behavior. A high quenching effect on the ECL signal of the Ru(bpy)32+-PSSA/GCE was obtained with the presence of low concentration of BB FCF. Moreover, the quenched ECL intensity showed a linear relation within the BB FCF concentration range of 0.5 - 7 and 7 - 10 μmol/L, with a detection limit of 57 nmol/L (S/N = 3). Besides, Ru(bpy)32+-PSSA/GCE exhibited good reproducibility and was successfully applied in the practical detection of BB FCF in peppermint candy samples.
