Abstract
Chiral β-hydroxyphosphonates are essential building blocks for organophosphorus compounds. However, the asymmetric synthesis of these units remains a significant challenge. Herein, we describe a one-pot chemoenzymatic cascade process to access chiral β-hydroxyphosphonates, which combines photo-oxidative chemical reactions and bioreductions. The incorporation of photooxidation in the chemical reaction resulted in up to 92% yield and >99% enantiomeric excess (ee) of β-hydroxyphosphonates in the cascade. In addition, the scale-up of diethyl (S)-(2-hydroxy-2-phenylethyl)phosphonate demonstrates the potential application of this strategy.

Abstract
We have developed an original blue-light mediated iron-catalyzed oxy-phosphinylation of activated alkenes by secondary phosphine oxides under air at room temperature. Various β-ketophosphine oxides were then obtained in 43-97 % isolated yields. Control experiments revealed that radical process is involved in the mechanism.

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed aerobic oxidative/decarboxylative phosphorylation of aryl acrylic acids with P(III)-nucleophiles via the Michaelis-Arbuzov rearrangement for the synthesis of β-ketophosphine oxides, β-ketophosphinates, and β-ketophosphonates is reported. The present reaction could be conducted effectively without the use of a ligand and a base. Various kinds of aryl acrylic acids and P(III)-nucleophiles are tolerated in the transformation, generating the desired β-keto-organophosphorus compounds as a valuable class of phosphorus-containing intermediates with good to excellent yields. In addition, the possible mechanism and kinetic studies for the reaction have been explored by step-by-step control experiments and competitive experiments, and the results proved that this transformation may follow second-order chemical kinetics as well as involve a radical process.

Abstract
The traditional methods for the synthesis of phosphinate esters use phosphorus trichloride (PCl3) as the phosphorous source, resulting in procedures that are often highly polluting and energy intensive. The search for an alternative approach that is both mild and environmentally friendly is a challenging, yet highly rewarding task in modern chemistry. Herein, we use an inorganic phosphorous-containing species, NaH2PO2, to serve as the source of phosphorous that participates directly in the nickel-catalyzed selective alkyne hydrophosphonylation reaction. The transformation was achieved in a multicomponent fashion and at room temperature, and most importantly, the H-phosphinate product generated is an advanced intermediate which can be readily converted into diverse phosphinate derivatives, including those bearing new P-C, P-S, P-N, P-Se, and P-O bonds, thus providing a complimentary method to classic phosphinate ester synthesis techniques.

Abstract
A facile and efficient nickel-catalyzed C-C bond cleavage/phosphorylation of various cycloalkyl hydroperoxides was developed. This radical ring-opening strategy provided practical access to structurally diverse distal ketophosphine oxides in one pot through concurrent C═O/C-P bond formation with high atom economy under mild room temperature and base-free conditions.

Abstract
Clear recognition and rational construction of suitable active center for specific reaction is always of great significance in designing highly efficient catalysts. Herein, a dual-active-site copper catalyst (DAS-Cu) containing both CuN3 and CuN4 sites is reported. Such catalysts show extremely high catalytic performance (yield: up to 97%) toward oxyphosphorylation of alkenes, while catalysts with single active site (CuN3 or CuN4 ) are chemically inert in this reaction. Combined with theoretical and experimental results, the different roles of two different Cu active sites in this reaction are further identified. CuN3 site captures the oxygen and trigger further oxidizing process, while CuN4 site provides moderate adsorption sites for the protection of phosphonyl radicals. This work deeply discloses the significant cooperated role with two single-atomic sites in one catalytic active center and brings up a valuable clue for the rational design of better-performing heterogeneous catalyst.

Abstract
Due to the wide importance of β-phosphorylated ketones as key building-blocks in the fabrication of various pharmaceutically active organophosphorus compounds, finding new and truly efficient methods for their preparation from simple, low-cost and ubiquitous feedstock materials within a single click is an interesting subject in organic synthesis. Recently, oxyfunctionalization of carbon-carbon multiple bonds has arisen as a straightforward and versatile tool for the synthesis of complex organic molecules from the simple and easily accessible alkenes/alkynes via a single operation. In this context, oxyphosphorylation of alkenes/alkynes with P(O)-H compounds has attracted considerable attention as a unique procedure for the construction of β-phosphorylated ketones. In this review, we outline the recent advances and developments in this fast-growing research field with particular emphasis on the mechanistic aspects of reaction.

Abstract
Abstract
The readily accessible and inexpensive dialkyl H-phosphonates are important building blocks for organic synthesis. This review specifically covers our recent work on the application of H-phosphonates as reactants for C–P bond formation, and as promoters for quinoline N-oxides to synthesize 2-functionalized quinolines.

Abstract
Phosphorus-containing compounds are one of the most important classes of organic compounds, which have wide applications in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, agricultural chemistry, and materials chemistry. In particular, organophosphorus compounds bearing a P(O)-C bond have attracted significant attention in recent decades due to their widespread biological and pharmacological activities. In this review, we will highlight the most important developments in the construction of P(O)-C bonds through decarboxylative C-P cross-coupling reactions. The literature has been surveyed from 2011 to May 2018.
