Abstract
New unsymmetrical monoterpenylhetaryl disulfides based on heterocyclic disulfides and monoterpene thiols were synthesized for the first time in 48–88% yields. Hydrolysis of disulfides with fragments of methyl esters of 2-mercaptonicotinic acid was carried out in 73–95% yields. The obtained compounds were evaluated for antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal activity, cytotoxicity and mutagenicity.

Abstract
In the title compound, C31H40NO2P, the P atom has a distorted tetrahedral stereochemistry [bond-angle range about P = 103.33 (6)–115.24 (15)°] and has RP chirality, which was confirmed crystallographically. The dihedral angles between the P-bonded phenyl ring and the other two phenyl rings are 40.4 (3) and 12.2 (2)°. In the crystal, a C—H⋯O interaction links molecules into chains which extend along [100].

Abstract
Sixteen chiral analogues of phenylacetyl disulfide (PADS) and 5-methyl-3H-1,2,4-dithiazol-3-one (MEDITH) were used to sulfurize five dithymidine phosphite triesters, each incorporating a β-cyanoethoxy or siloxy group. Each mixture of S(P):R(P) phosphite triester diastereomers was combined with approximately one fourth of an equivalent of each of the sulfurizing reagents, and the R(PS):S(PS) diastereomer ratios of the resulting phosphite sulfides or phosphorothioates were determined by reverse-phase HPLC. Diastereoselectivities and corresponding diastereomeric excess (de) values were calculated by correcting for the starting triester diastereomer ratios. The highest de values for R(PS) and S(PS) phosphorothioates were 14.7% and 7.9%, respectively, both using MEDITH analogues.

Abstract
The molecule of the title compound, C32H48O4P2S2, has 2 symmetry, the mid-point of the S—S bond being located on a twofold rotation axis. The two tetrahedral P units are linked by a S—S bond with a P—S—S—P torsion angle is 131.19 (6)°. The dihedral angle between two phenyl rings is 12.66 (13)°. The cyclohexane ring of the menthoxyl group displays a chair conformation. Weak intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonding is present in the crystal structure.

Abstract
Reaction of diastereomerically pure phosphinoselenoic acid salts with oxalyl chloride leads to enantiomerically pure P-chiral phosphinoselenoic chlorides with inversion of configuration at phosphorus; one of these chlorides is converted to a phosphinoselenothioic acid salt with a high degree of enantioselectivity.
