Abstract
A catalyst free ultrasound-assisted regio-/stereoselective modular approach was accomplished for the synthesis of highly constrained indenoquinoxaline engrafted spiro pyrrolidines from easily available substrates. This one-pot strategy utilizes 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition from a four component reaction of ninhydrin, 1,2-phenylenediamine, β-nitrostyrene and benzylamine or amino acids under ultrasound irradiation. The transformation is mild and operationally simple, providing architecturally complex fused spiro polycyclic heterocycles. This synthesis was confined to follow the group-assistant-purification (GAP) chemistry process, which can avoid chromatographic purifications and use of catalysts and allows easy access to a novel class of spiro engrafted polyheterocyclic scaffolds, which may be beneficial in biomedical research/materials science in the near future. This opens an era for the formation of a single exo product, when compared with reported protocols, by merely switching over reaction conditions to US irradiation.

Abstract
A simple synthetic method was performed to design a novel series of polycyclic systems consisting of carbazole-thiazolidinone-chromone hybrids 4a-e and carbazole-thiazolidinone-pyrazole hybrids 5a-e in excellent yields. The methodology depended on the one-pot four-component reaction of 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole, substituted isothiocyanates, ethyl bromoacetate and 6-methyl-3-formylchromone in ethanol under ultrasound waves at 50 °C to give the carbazole-thiazolidinone-chromone hybrids 4a-e. The latter isolated products were treated with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol under ultrasound waves at 50 °C affording the corresponding carbazole-thiazolidinone-pyrazole hybrids 5a-e. Spectral and analytical data confirmed the structures of all the synthesized compounds. The target compounds were screened for their in vitro anticancer activities against HCT116, PC3 and HepG2 cancer cell lines using the standard SRB method. Fortunately, both compounds 5dand5e were the most active against all cancer cell lines compared with doxorubicin and can be promising anticancer agents. Both bioactive products 5band5e were studied by the molecular docking to see how they bind with VEGFR-2 receptor. The results indicated that those compounds exhibited high affinities towards VEGFR-2 and established remarkably similar interactions to those of the powerful VEGFR-2-KDR.

Abstract
The development of a mild, general, and green method for the C-H arylation of pyrazoles with relatively unreactive aryl halides is an ongoing challenge in organic synthesis. We describe herein a novel sonophotoreactor based on an ultrasonic cleaning bath and blue LED light (visible light) that induce copper-catalyzed monoarylation for pharmacologically relevant pyrazoles. The hybrid effect of ultrasonic irradiation and blue LED is discussed to interpret the observed synergistic action. A broad array of pyrazoles coupled with iodobenzene avoids expensive palladium metal or salts, and certain designed substrates were attained. Only comparatively inexpensive copper(I)iodide and 1,10-phenanthroline were used all together as the catalyst. The presented technique is a greener way to create C-H arylation of pyrazoles. It significantly reduces the amount of energy needed.

Abstract
The atom-efficient and green protocol for formation of pyrano[3,4-e][1,3]oxazines utilizing dimethyl carbonate under ultrasound irradiation in a presence of KF/basic alumina was reported. We provide a novel series of pyrano[3,4-e][1,3]oxazine derivatives interesting for biological screening tests. In general, it was found that ultrasound irradiations enable the reactions to occur which could not be carried out under silent conditions. These remarkable effects appeared in sonicated reactions can be reasonably interpreted in terms of acoustic cavitation phenomenon. Structures of the products were established on analytical and spectral data. This protocol offers several advantages attain many principles of green chemistry including, save energy, atom economy, clean reactions, inexpensive green reagent and use catalysts rather than stoichiometric reagents.

Abstract
AbstractThe one-pot synthesis of pyrido[2,3-d]
pyrimidine derivatives has been reported via
Knoevenagel-Michal addition pathways using substituted
aromatic aldehydes, Cyanoacetamide and 6-aminouracil
in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent, with
4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP) as new organo catalyst
catalyst under ultrasonic irradiation. The results showed
that a series of aromatic aldehydes were effectively used to
prepare the targeted pyrido [2, 3-d] pyrimidine derivatives
with good to excellent yields (81-93 %) with no major effect
on the yield of product by electron donating/withdrawing
substituents. Short reaction time, environment friendly
procedure, excellent yields, inexpensive and readily
available catalyst are the advantages of this procedure.
All synthesized compounds were characterized by IR,
1HNMR, 13CNMR and mass spectral data.

Abstract
A series of 1,2,3-triazoles coupled diaryl sulfone containing compounds were synthesized by the copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction in benign solvents under ultrasound irradiation. In situ formation of azides from α-bromoketones together with the CuAAC reaction in one pot allowed safe handling and good availability of azides for the development of a small library of compounds. The sonication reduced reaction time and increased yields compared to otherwise same conditions. All synthesized compounds were evaluated for antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant activities. Compounds 3b, 6b and 9e-9g were found to be the most potent antifungal agents with minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) at 25 μg/mL; moreover other compounds revealed good to moderate antimicrobial activity. Compound 8e showed an excellent antioxidant activity using a DPPH free radical scavenging assay.

Abstract
Medicinal chemistry has been benefited by combinatorial chemistry and high throughput parallel synthesis. The use of sonochemistry under controlled conditions has been proved beneficial for medicinal chemistry and drug discovery process since it dramatically reduces reaction times, from days or hours to minutes. In addition, sonochemistry synthesis provides higher yields, lower cost, easy workups and greater purity as compared to lower yields, tedious workups, longer reaction times, lesser purity and termination of many by-products in the conventional thermal methods.

Abstract
The present paper deal with the multi-component condensation of 8-hydroxy quinoline, aromatic aldehydes, and sulfone derivatives catalyzed by p-toluenesulfonic acid for the synthesis of a series of 4H-pyrano[3,2-h]quinoline derivatives in ethanol under ultrasonic irradiations. We provide a series of quinoline derivatives containing sulfone moiety interesting for biological screening tests. The reactions were carried out under both conventional and ultrasonic irradiation conditions. In general, improvement in rates and yields were observed when reactions were carried out under sonication compared with classical silent conditions. Also, also, sonochemical reaction give different reaction pathway other than silent reaction. These remarkable effects appeared in sonicated reactions can be reasonably interpreted in terms of acoustic cavitation phenomenon. Structures of the products were established on analytical and spectral data.

Abstract
Background Most of the known approaches to the synthesis of CF3-containing organic compounds suffer from serious drawbacks. For example the starting materials required for these methods are rather difficult to obtain, or they are fairly toxic and inconvenient to work with and methods for direct fluorination and trifluoromethylation do not always allow the introduction of the CF3-group at the required position of a molecule. Results An efficient and attractive regioselective synthesis of a series of novel pyrazoles containing the trifluromethyl moiety was achieved using Cu(OTf)2/Et3N as an efficient catalytic system under ultrasonic irradiation. Conclusions Cu(OTf)2/Et3N catalyst showed a great advantage over all the investigated catalysts, and the ultrasonic irradiation method offered high yields of pyrazoles in short reaction time compared with classical conditions. gHMBC spectra of the product were used to rationalize the observed regioselectivity.

Abstract
Successful implementation of ultrasound irradiation for the rapid synthesis of a novel series of 3-[1-(4-substituted-5-(aryldiazenyl)thiazol-2-yl)hydrazono)ethyl]-2H-chromen-2-ones 5a–h, via reactions of 2-(1-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)ethylidene) thiosemicarbazide (2) and the hydrazonoyl halides 3(4), was demonstrated. Also, a new series of 5-arylidene-2-(2-(1-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)ethylidene)hydrazinyl)thiazol-4(5H)-ones 10a–d were synthesized from reaction of 2 with chloroacetic acid and different aldehydes. Moreover, reaction of 2-cyano-N'-(1-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)ethylidene)-acetohydrazide (12) with substituted benzaldehydes gave the respective arylidene derivatives 13a–c under the conditions employed. The structures of the synthesized compounds were assigned based on elemental analyses and spectral data. Also, the cytototoxic activities of the thiazole derivative 5a was evaluated against HaCaT cells (human keratinocytes). It was found that compound 5a possess potent cytotoxic activity.

Abstract
Copper perchlorate is found to be a heterogeneous catalyst for an efficient and greener synthesis of 4-substituted 2H-chromen-2-ones via von Pechmann condensation of substituted phenols and beta-keto esters in solventless media with excellent yields using ultrasound irradiation. The present methodology offers several advantages such as excellent yields, simple procedure and milder conditions.
