Abstract
Climate change represents a considerable threat to aquatic ecosystems, potentially affecting various water quality parameters.The study aims to assess the impacts climatic factors on the water quality parameters in tilapia broodfish pond and forecasting of water temperature in a tilapia broodfish pond using the ARIMAX model. Daily longitudinal time series data on water quality parameters were collected from the pond, while monthly climatic data were obtained from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department. Water temperature exhibited seasonal variation, peaking at 31.23 °C in October and dropping to 20.8 °C in December. pH levels ranged from 7.36 to 10.32, with the lowest recorded in December and the highest in August. Dissolved oxygen levels varied from 7.09 mg/L to 10.65 mg/L, with the lowest in September and the highest in January. Ammonia levels were highest in February at 0.33 mg/L. Water transparency ranged from 15.37 to 28 inches, with the highest in January and the lowest in June. Climatic factors significantly influenced these variations, as specified by Canonical correlation analysis (CCA). The best-fitting model, ARIMAX (1, 0, 1), indicated a fluctuating trend influenced by important exogenous factors like air temperature and solar intensity. By the end January 2025, the water temperature is expected to rise to 27.93 °C. This is a noticeable increase started from November to January. These higher temperatures may improve tilapia broodfish growth and development earlier. But the temperatures are predicted to drop started from February to March, which could negatively affect tilapia growth and development. A clear seasonal fluctuating pattern is exhibited in the future. These findings provide important insights for researchers, policymakers, academics, and those involved in tilapia farming. By considering air temperature and solar intensity in planning, stakeholders can better anticipate future pond conditions. Developing adaptive management strategies to reduce negative impacts and make the most of favorable conditions will be essential for sustainable tilapia production in the context of climate change.

Abstract
TNFα is one of important cytokines belonging to TNF superfamily, which can exhibit a pleiotropic effect in immune modulation, homeostasis as well as pathogenesis. However, its immunoregulatory function on mucosal immunity in fish gut are still unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigated the immunoregulatory role of TNFα1 in midgut of white crucian carp (WCC). WCC-TNFα1 sequence and its deduced structure were firstly identified in WCC. Then, tissue-specific analysis revealed that high-level WCC-TNFα1 expression was detected in gill. After Aeromonas hydrophila and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulated, increased trends of WCC-TNFα1 expressions were detected in immune-related tissues and cultured fish cells, respectively. WCC anal-intubated with WCC-TNFα1 fusion protein showed the increased levels of edema and fuzzy appearance in impaired villi, along with atrophy and reduction of goblet cells (GC). Moreover, the expression levels of tight junction (TJ) genes and mucin genes were consistently lower than those of the control (P < 0.05). WCC-TNFα1 treatment could sharply decrease antioxidant status in midgut, while the expression levels of caspase (CASP) genes, unfolded protein response (UPR) genes and redox response genes increased dramatically. Our results suggested that WCC-TNFα1 could exhibit a detrimental effect on antioxidant and mucosal immune regulation in midgut of WCC.

Abstract
Knowledge about combined effects of chemicals and temperature on reproductive capacity of fish are rare in literature, especially when it comes to the effects of chronic low-dose chemical exposure combined to the thermal stress. The aim of the study was to evaluate the single and combined effects of temperature (16, 18, 21 °C) and an environmentally relevant concentration of waterborne cadmium (1 µg L-1, nominal concentration) on the reproductive outputs of threespine stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus), and their consequences on offspring survival parameters. The high temperature (21 °C) was the only factor that affected parental parameters (gonadosomatic index "GSI", and vitellogenin "VTG" particularly). On females, 21 °C had a stimulating effect on gonadal development evaluated by an early increase, followed by a sharp decrease of GSI, probably indicating gonadal atresia. Promoting effect of temperature was corroborated by an early production of VTG. In vitro fertilization assays showed interesting results, particularly cadmium effects. As it was supposed, high temperature had a negative impact on offspring parameters (significant decrease in survival and an increase of unhatched embryos). Parental exposure to the very low concentration of cadmium had also negative consequences on mortality rate (significant increase) and hatching rate (significant decrease). Our results indicate that in a global warming context, high temperature and its combination with contaminant may impact reproductive capacity of G. aculeatus, by decreasing parental investment (low eggs and/or sperm quality).

Abstract
Similar to higher vertebrates, neoplasia is not an uncommon disease in fishes, which are the largest group of vertebrates. However,neoplasia in fishes is generally a benign condition with relatively few exceptions of malignant disease. The objective of this discussion is to provide an overview of neoplasia and the various neoplastic disease conditions in fishes according to organ system,including the few neoplasms of species that are familiar to the aquatic animal or exotic animal practitioner. The discussion also considers the various nonneoplastic lesions in fishes that may be confused with neoplasms, and treatment of neoplastic disease in fishes that is generally restricted to surgical intervention.

Abstract
A comparative study has been made of the haptoral morphology of four species of diplozoon (Monogenea: Diplozoidae) from the gills of fish exposed to different levels of water pollution in two river systems in eastern Europe. An examination of the haptors of Paradiplozoon homoion (Bychowsky & Nagibina 1959), Paradiplozoon ergensi (Pejcoch 1968) and Paradiplozoon megan (Bychowsky & Nagibina 1959) from chub caught in the River Morava, Czech Republic and of Diplozoon paradoxum (Nordmann 1832) from bream recovered from the River Volga, Russia has revealed abnormalities to the attachment clamps. Two abnormal conditions were found: structural alterations to the attachment clamps and changes in the number of attachment clamps; these occurred both singly and in combination. A higher frequency of abnormal attachment clamps was found in diplozoons from fish caught in the more polluted localities of both rivers. The abnormalities have been recorded and their morphology compared in the light of conditions of environmental stress.

Abstract
This report presents the results of a genotoxicity study to evaluate the DNA damage caused by four sulfur dyes used in the textile and tannery industries. Alkaline single-cell gel electrophoresis assay (SCGE) was performed on erythrocytes from Rana hexadactyla tadpoles following whole-body exposure to increasing concentrations of the dyes. The dyes, along with their active ingredients, were Sandopel Basic Black BHLN, Negrosine, Dermapel Black FNI, and Turquoise Blue. The dye-treated tadpoles showed significant DNA damage, measured as mean DNA length:width ratio, when compared with unexposed control animals. Among the four tested dyes Sandopel Basic Black BHLN appears to be highly genotoxic, Dermapel Black FNI was least genotoxic, and Negrosine and Turquoise Blue were moderately toxic to R. hexadactyla tadpoles. The tadpoles showed a significant reduction in DNA damage when placed in dechlorinated tap water after exposure for a 24-hr period to the dye solutions.

Abstract
Pollutant-induced abnormal functioning of phagocytes and associated consequences were studied in freshwater catfish Heteropneustes fossilis (Bloch). Fish were exposed to effluent collected from bleached kraft type of paper mill at the concentration levels of 0.5, 1 and 2% for 15, 30, 60 and 90 days. Respiratory burst activity of peritoneal and head kidney phagocytes of exposed fish was measured by nitroblue tetrazolium reduction assay. Lipid peroxidation (LPO) was estimated in liver, gill and kidney of fish by measuring thiobarbituric acid reaction substances. It was observed that the phagocyte-activating xenobiotics of effluent induced an increase in the respiratory burst activity in phagocytes. The induction of respiratory burst activity was concomitantly associated with an increase in the peroxidative damage of tissues. The tissues most affected were kidney and gills. The change in LPO values in the gills of exposed fish was concentration- and time-dependent, showing significant increases (P<0.05 to <0.001) in all the exposed groups as compared with control fish. An almost similar pattern of LPO was observed in head kidney tissue (P<0.05 to <0.001). As regards liver, increase in LPO was not widespread, except at 0.5% for 90 days (P<0.05). In fact, reduced rates of LPO were observed in the livers of some groups. The results of respiratory burst corroborate with the phagocytic activation as well as with the extent of lipid peroxidation in the tissues, showing high population of circulatory phagocytes. Our results demonstrate that fish of polluted water are subjected to oxidative stress of multifarious dimensions.

Abstract
From the serum of juvenile freshwater prawns, we isolated by affinity chromatography on glutaraldehyde-fixed rat erythrocytes stroma, immobilized in Sephadex G-25, a sialic acid specific lectin of 9.6 kDa per subunit. Comparative analysis against adult organisms purified lectin, by chromatofocusing, showed that the lectin from juvenile specimens is composed by four main isoforms with a pI of 4.2, 4.6, 5.1, and 5.6, whereas the lectin from adults is eluted at pH 4.2. The amino acid composition of the lectin obtained from adult and juvenile stages suggest identity, but the compositions are not identical since a higher content of carbohydrates was found in the lectin from younger organisms. The freshwater prawn lectin showed specificity toward N-acetylated amino sugar residues such as GlcNAc, GalNAc, Neu5Ac and Neu5,9Ac; but in juvenile organisms the lectin showed three times less hemagglutinating activity than the lectin from adults. Both lectins agglutinated rat, rabbit and chicken erythrocytes, indicating that Neu5,9Ac in specific O-glycosydically linked glycans seems to be relevant for the interaction of M. rosenbergii lectins with their specific cellular receptor. Our results suggest that the physicochemical characteristics of the lectin from the freshwater prawn are regulated through maturation.

Abstract
The effects of size and gender on several humoral immune parameters in cod were examined under different environmental conditions. Serum samples were collected from wild cod of different sizes. Two samplings were undertaken: In the spring in relatively cold waters off the north west coast of Iceland and in the fall in relatively warm waters off the west coast of Iceland. Most of the parameters increased with increasing cod size, except the haemolytic activity which decreased. Higher serum protein levels were seen in cod sampled in the fall than in the spring. In cod sampled in the spring there was an apparent difference between specimens < 75 cm in length and the larger specimens with respect to haemolytic activity and iron concentration. None of the parameters were influenced by the gender of the cod.

Abstract
This paper represents an attempt to evaluate the environmental indicative potential of the biodiversity of monogenean parasites using hierarchically structured species-abundance data. A logical set of statistical methods integrating standard diversity indices, a novel approach to quantitative analysis of cumulative species-abundance curves and species-abundance models was applied for this purpose. Applicability of biodiversity measures was demonstrated using experimental data from a 1-year study on the ecology of metazoan parasites of chub (Leuciscus cephalus) in one polluted and one control site in the Morava river, Czech Republic. Analyses at the component community level revealed a significant decrease in the number of parasite species with a more equal distribution of their abundances in the polluted site compared with the control site. In order to reach a better understanding of the changes, diversity of Monogenea as a dominant part of the community was further examined within categories of species created according to: (1) specificity of infection (specialists and generalists), (2) monogenean genera (Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus and Paradiplozoon) and (3) inhabited guilds (skin + fins, gills). Assemblages of specialists in the polluted site exhibited a significantly reduced species richness and unequal distribution of abundances. The opposite pattern was observed in the case of generalists. The influence of pollution was also reflected by the distribution of species abundances within communities of Dactylogyrus and Paradiplozoon, while no significant shift was identified in the genus Gyrodactylus.
