The Palladium-Catalyzed Ullmann Cross-Coupling Reaction: A Modern Variant on a Time-Honored Process

Biomimetic and Concise Total Syntheses of Prenylated and Bicyclo[2.2.2]diazaoctane-Containing Indole Alkaloids Including Taichunamide A, Notoamide N and Versicolamide B

Total syntheses of the title prenylated indole alkaloids together with seven others are reported. Biogenetic considerations have been employed in devising the reaction sequences leading to these targets with, in the opening stages, electrochemically-derived indole-3-carboxaldehyde 15 being subject to an aldol-type condensation reaction involving diketopiperazine derivative 19. This led, after prototopic shifts, intramolecular Diels-Alder cycloaddition and hydrolysis/deprotection steps, to the racemic forms of the bicyclo[2.2.2]diazaoctane-containing natural product stephacidin A (2) and its C6 epimer 3. Epoxidation of the last compound afforded, following rearrangement of the primary oxidation products, a mixture of (±)-taichunamide A [(±)-4] and (±)-versicolamide B [(±)-7]. Related protocols allowed for the conversion of (±)-stephacidin A [(±)-2] into (±)-notoamide B [(±)-5]. Analogous aldol condensation, nucleophilic reduction, and epoxidation steps led to the formation of (-)-notoamide E and its conversion into notoamide C as well as the indole fragmentation product amoenamide E. A late-stage chlorination reaction applied to (±)-stephacidin A provided access to the spirocyclic oxindole (±)-notoamide N [(±)-6].

URJC-1: Stable and Efficient Catalyst for O-Arylation Cross-Coupling

The design of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) allows the definition of properties for their final application in small-scale heterogeneous catalysis. Incorporating various catalytic centers within a single structure can produce a synergistic effect, which is particularly intriguing for cross-coupling reactions. The URJC-1 material exhibits catalytic duality: the metal centers act as Lewis acid centers, while the nitrogen atoms of the organic ligand must behave as basic centers. The impact of reaction temperature, catalyst concentration, and basic agent concentration was evaluated. Several copper-based catalysts, including homogeneous and heterogeneous MOF catalysts with and without the presence of nitrogen atoms in the organic ligand, were assessed for their catalytic effect under optimal conditions. Among the catalysts tested, URJC-1 exhibited the highest catalytic activity, achieving complete conversion of 4-nitrobenzaldehyde with only 3% mol copper concentration in one hour. Furthermore, URJC-1 maintained its crystalline structure even after five reaction cycles, demonstrating remarkable stability in the reaction medium. The study also examined the impact of various substituents of the substrate alcohol on the reaction using URJC-1. The results showed that the reaction had high activity when activating substituents were present and for most cyclic alcohols rather than linear ones.

Recent advances in C(sp3)-N bond formation via metallaphoto-redox catalysis

The C(sp3)-N bond is ubiquitous in natural products, pharmaceuticals, biologically active molecules and functional materials. Consequently, the development of practical and efficient methods for C(sp3)-N bond formation has attracted more and more attention. Compared to the conventional ionic pathway-based thermal methods, photochemical processes that proceed through radical mechanisms by merging photoredox and transition-metal catalyses have emerged as powerful and alternative tools for C(sp3)-N bond formation. In this review, recent advances in the burgeoning field of C(sp3)-N bond formation via metallaphotoredox catalysis have been highlighted. The contents of this review are categorized according to the transition metals used (copper, nickel, cobalt, palladium, and iron) together with photocatalysis. Emphasis is placed on methodology achievements and mechanistic insight, aiming to inspire chemists to invent more efficient radical-involved C(sp3)-N bond-forming reactions.

Ultrasound-assisted Cu(II) Strecker-functionalized organocatalyst for green azide-alkyne cycloaddition and Ullmann reactions

A new aminonitrile-functionalized Fe3O4 has been synthesized via the Strecker reaction, the designed aminonitrile ligand on the surface of the magnetic core coordinated to copper(II) to obtain the final new catalyst. The fabricated nanocatalyst was characterized by Fourier transform Infrared (FT-IR), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Energy-Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Vibrating-Sample Magnetometer (VSM), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). The high tendency of nitrogens in the aminonitrile functional group to make a complex with Cu(II) has caused the practical activity of this nucleus in this catalyst. This nanocatalyst performance was investigated in azide-alkyne Huisgen cycloaddition (3 + 2) reaction for achieving to 1,4-disubstituted 1,2,3-triazoles in water as a green media at room temperature. In another try, Classic Ullmann Reaction was investigated for the synthesis of biaryls at 85 °C promoted by ultrasonic condition (37 kHz). The reaction scope was explored using different reactants and the results of using this developed catalytic system demonstrated its capacity to reduce the reaction time and enhance the reaction efficiency to provide good to excellent product yield. Conversely, the simple recycling and reusability of this catalyst for at least six times without any noticeable leaching of copper makes it a potential future catalyst for synthesizing such compounds.

Ionic Liquids in Metal, Photo-, Electro-, and (Bio) Catalysis

Ionic liquids (ILs) have unique physicochemical properties that make them advantageous for catalysis, such as low vapor pressure, non-flammability, high thermal and chemical stabilities, and the ability to enhance the activity and stability of (bio)catalysts. ILs can improve the efficiency, selectivity, and sustainability of bio(transformations) by acting as activators of enzymes, selectively dissolving substrates and products, and reducing toxicity. They can also be recycled and reused multiple times without losing their effectiveness. ILs based on imidazolium cation are preferred for structural organization aspects, with a semiorganized layer surrounding the catalyst. ILs act as a container, providing a confined space that allows modulation of electronic and geometric effects, miscibility of reactants and products, and residence time of species. ILs can stabilize ionic and radical species and control the catalytic activity of dynamic processes. Supported IL phase (SILP) derivatives and polymeric ILs (PILs) are good options for molecular engineering of greener catalytic processes. The major factors governing metal, photo-, electro-, and biocatalysts in ILs are discussed in detail based on the vast literature available over the past two and a half decades. Catalytic reactions, ranging from hydrogenation and cross-coupling to oxidations, promoted by homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts in both single and multiphase conditions, are extensively reviewed and discussed considering the knowledge accumulated until now.

Room Temperature Anhydrous Suzuki-Miyaura Polymerization Enabled by C-S Bond Activation

The Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling is one of the most important and powerful methods for constructing C-C bonds. However, the protodeboronation of arylboronic acids hinder the development of Suzuki-Miyaura coupling in the precise synthesis of conjugated polymers (CPs). Here, an anhydrous room temperature Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction between (hetero)aryl boronic esters and aryl sulfides was explored, of which universality was exemplified by thirty small molecules and twelve CPs. Meanwhile, the mechanistic studies involving with capturing four coordinated borate intermediate revealed the direct transmetalation of boronic esters in the absence of H2 O suppressing the protodeboronation. Additionally, the room temperature reaction significantly reduced the homocoupling defects and enhanced the optoelectronic properties of the CPs. In all, this work provides a green protocol to synthesize alternating CPs.

Facile Synthesis Hyper-Crosslinked PdFe Bimetallic Polymer as Highly Active Catalyst for Ullmann Coupling Reaction of Chlorobenzene

The synthesis of efficient and sustainable heterogeneous Pd-based catalysts has been an active field of research due to their crucial role in carbon-carbon coupling reactions. In this study, we developed a facile and eco-friendly in situ assembly technique to produce a PdFe bimetallic hyper-crosslinked polymer (HCP@Pd/Fe) to use as a highly active and durable catalyst in the Ullmann reaction. The HCP@Pd/Fe catalyst exhibits a hierarchical pore structure, high specific surface area, and uniform distribution of active sites, which promote catalytic activity and stability. Under mild conditions, the HCP@Pd/Fe catalyst is capable of efficiently catalyzing the Ullmann reaction of aryl chlorides in aqueous media. The exceptional catalytic performance of HCP@Pd/Fe is attributed to its robust absorption capability, high dispersion, and strong interaction between Fe and Pd, as confirmed by various material characterizations and control experiments. Furthermore, the coated structure of a hyper-crosslinked polymer enables easy recycling and reuse of the catalyst for at least 10 cycles without any significant loss of activity.

Recyclable Magnetic Cu-MOF-74-Catalyzed C(sp2)-N Coupling and Cyclization under Microwave Irradiation: Synthesis of Imidazo[1,2-c]quinazolines and Their Analogues

Magnetic Cu-MOF-74 (Fe₃O₄@SiO₂@Cu-MOF-74) was synthesized for the first time by grafting MOF-74 (copper as the metal center) on the surface of core-shell magnetic carboxyl-functionalized silica gel (Fe₃O₄@SiO₂-COOH), which was prepared by coating core Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles with hydrolyzed 2-(3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl)succinic anhydride and tetraethyl orthosilicate. The structure of Fe₃O₄@SiO₂@Cu-MOF-74 nanoparticles was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The prepared Fe₃O₄@SiO₂@Cu-MOF-74 nanoparticles could be applied as a recyclable catalyst to the synthesis of N-fused hybrid scaffolds. 2-(2-Bromoaryl)imidazoles and 2-(2-bromovinyl)imidazoles were coupled and cyclized with cyanamide in DMF in the presence of a catalytic amount of Fe₃O₄@SiO₂@Cu-MOF-74 along with a base to give imidazo[1,2-c]quinazolines and imidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidines, respectively, in good yields. The Fe₃O₄@SiO₂@Cu-MOF-74 catalyst could be easily recovered by a super magnetic bar and recycled more than four times while almost maintaining catalytic activity.

Recent Advances in the Synthesis and Applications of m-Aryloxy Phenols

Since phenol derivatives have high potential as building blocks for the synthesis of bioactive natural products and conducting polymers, many synthesis methods have been invented. In recent years, innovative synthetic methods have been developed for the preparation of m-aryloxy phenols, which has allowed for the preparation of complex m-aryloxy phenols with functional groups, such as esters, nitriles, and halogens, that impart specific properties of these compounds. This review provides an overview of recent advances in synthetic strategies for m-aryloxy phenols and their potential biological activities. This paper highlights the importance of m-aryloxy phenols in various industries, including plastics, adhesives, and coatings, and it discusses their applications as antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, and flame retardants.

Catalyst-Free Decarboxylative Amination of Carboxylic Acids in Water Microdroplets

Previous studies have shown that hydroxyl radicals can be formed at the water-gas surface of water microdroplets. We report the use of in situ generated hydroxyl radicals to carry out an organic transformation in one step, namely, the formation of anilines from aryl acids as well as both ammonia and primary/secondary amines via decarboxylation. Benzoic acids and amines are dissolved in water, and the solution is sprayed to form microdroplets whose chemical contents are analyzed mass spectrometrically. All intermediates and products are determined using mass spectrometry (MS) as well as in some cases tandem mass spectrometry (MS²). These results support the following reaction mechanism: NR₂OH, formed via reaction of the amine with •OH, reacts with benzoic acid to form an isocyanate via a Lossen rearrangement. Hydrolysis followed by liberation of CO₂ then delivers the aniline product. Notably, the scope of this transformation includes a variety of amines and aromatic acids and enables their conversion into aniline and N-substituted anilines, all in a single step. Additionally, this reaction occurs at room temperature and does not require metal catalysts or organic solvents.

Iron porphyrin-catalysed C(sp3)–H amination with alkyl azides for the synthesis of complex nitrogen-containing compounds

With the readily prepared iron porphyrin complex as a catalyst and starting with alkyl azides, a panel of nitrogen-containing skeletons representing the families of natural alkaloids and bioactive compounds could be prepared in good yields.

Formal Total Syntheses of (+)- and (-)-Aspidophytine from a Common, Homochiral Precursor

A formal total synthesis of (-)-aspidophytine (2), a key substructure associated with the heterodimeric indole alkaloid haplophytine (1) and itself a natural product, has been established by employing the homochiral and enzymatically derived cis-1,2-dihydrocatechol 8 as a starting material. Specifically, compound 8 has been converted into the pentacyclic product 26, an advanced intermediate associated with a previously reported synthesis of aspidophytine (2). Simple modifications to the reaction sequence have also allowed for the identification of a synthetic pathway leading from dihydrocatechol 8 to (+)-aspidophytine (ent-2).

Ritter-type amination of C(sp3)-H bonds enabled by electrochemistry with SO42

By merging electricity with sulfate, the Ritter-type amination of C(sp³)-H bonds is developed in an undivided cell under room temperature. This method features broad substrate generality (71 examples, up to 93% yields), high functional-group compatibility, facile scalability, excellent site-selectivity and mild conditions. Common alkanes and electron-deficient alkylbenzenes are viable substrates. It also provides a straightforward protocol for incorporating C-deuterated acetylamino group into C(sp³)-H sites. Application in the synthesis or modification of pharmaceuticals or their derivatives and gram-scale synthesis demonstrate the practicability of this method. Mechanistic experiments show that sulfate radical anion, formed by electrolysis of sulfate, served as hydrogen atom transfer agent to provide alkyl radical intermediate. This method paves a convenient and flexible pathway for realizing various synthetically useful transformations of C(sp³)-H bonds mediated by sulfate radical anion generated via electrochemistry.

The amination of C(sp3)–H bonds is an appealing and challenging task in organic synthesis. Here, by using an electrogenerated sulfate radical an HAT agent, the authors report a practical Ritter-type amination of C(sp3)–H bonds.

α-Iodo-α,β-Unsaturated Ketones as Vicinal Dielectrophiles: Their Reactions with Dinucleophiles Provide New Annulation Protocols for the Formation of Carbo- and Heterocyclic Ring Systems

α-Iodo-α,β-unsaturated ketones such as compound 1 serve as vicinal dielectrophiles and react with a range of dinucleophiles including pentane-2,4-dione and 1,3-indandione to produce [3 + 2]- and [2 + 1]-adducts such as 5 and 38, respectively. [4 + 2]- and [5 + 2]-cycloadducts have been obtained from compound 1 by related means. Preliminary studies reveal that α-iodinated α,β-unsaturated esters can also participate in at least some of these same processes.

Defect-Free Alternating Conjugated Polymers Enabled by Room- Temperature Stille Polymerization

The Stille cross-coupling polymerization is one of the most efficient synthetic methods for donor-acceptor (D-A) type π-conjugated polymers (CPs). Nevertheless, thermal-activation Stille polymerization readily produced homocoupling defects, resulting in batch-to-batch variations in copolymers quality and deteriorating the device performance of electronics and optoelectronics. Here, a room-temperature Stille-type polymerization was developed, the utility and generality of which were demonstrated by synthesis of twelve D-A CPs with high molecular weights. Importantly, the resultant copolymers possessed no homocoupling (hc) structural defects, while hc reactions were observed in the thermal-activation Stille reactions. Thus, the organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) based on the former exhibited twofold higher charge transport mobility (2.10 cm²  V^-1  s^-1 ), since it possessed stronger crystallinity and lower trap density of states (tDOS).

Highly Active Cellulose-Supported Poly(hydroxamic acid)-Cu(II) Complex for Ullmann Etherification

Highly active natural pandanus-extracted cellulose-supported poly(hydroxamic acid)-Cu(II) complex 4 was synthesized. The surface of pandanus cellulose was modified through graft copolymerization using purified methyl acrylate as a monomer. Then, copolymer methyl acrylate was converted into a bidentate chelating ligand poly(hydroxamic acid) via a Loosen rearrangement in the presence of an aqueous solution of hydroxylamine. Finally, copper species were incorporated into poly(hydroxamic acid) via the adsorption process. Cu(II) complex 4 was fully characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses. The cellulose-supported Cu(II) complex 4 was successfully applied (0.005 mol %) to the Ullmann etherification of aryl, benzyl halides, and phenacyl bromide with a number of aromatic phenols to provide the corresponding ethers with excellent yield [benzyl halide (70-99%); aryl halide (20-90%)]. Cu(II) complex 4 showed high stability and was easily recovered from the reaction mixture. It could be reused up to seven times without loss of its original catalytic activity. Therefore, Cu(II) complex 4 can be commercially utilized for the preparation of various ethers, and this synthetic technique could be a part in the synthesis of natural products and medicinal compounds.

C-5 selective chlorination of 8-aminoquinoline amides using dichloromethane

An oxidant-free electrochemical regioselective chlorination of 8-aminoquinoline amides at ambient temperature in batch and continuous-flow was achieved. Inert DCM was used as the chlorinating reagent. Owing to the continuous-flow setup, the reaction scale up can be achieved conveniently with higher productivity. Moreover, this method has good position-control, and water and air tolerance. Costly quaternary ammonium salts were avoided. Radical-trapping, H/D exchange, KIE and cyclic voltammetry experiments were conducted to gain insight into the reaction mechanism.

Synthesis of arylamines and N-heterocycles by direct catalytic nitrogenation using N2

Ammonia and nitric acid are two key platform chemicals to introduce nitrogen atoms into organic molecules in chemical industry. Indeed, nitric acid is mostly produced through the oxidation of ammonia. The ideal nitrogenation would involve direct use of dinitrogen (N₂) as a N source to construct N-containing organic molecules. Herein, we report an example of direct catalytic nitrogenation to afford valuable diarylamines, triarylamines, and N-heterocycles from easily available organohalides using dinitrogen (N₂) as the nitrogen source in a one-pot/two-step protocol. With this method, ¹⁵N atoms are easily incorporated into organic molecules. Structurally diversified polyanilines are also generated in one pot, showing great potential for materials chemistry. In this protocol, lithium nitride, generated in situ with the use of lithium as a reductant, is confirmed as a key intermediate. This chemistry provides an alternative pathway for catalytic nitrogenation to synthesize highly valuable N-containing chemicals from dinitrogen.

Efficient photocatalytic chemoselective and stereoselective C–C bond formation over AuPd@N-rich carbon nitride

High unsymmetrical chemoselective Ullmann biaryl products and satisfactory Z-type stereoselective Heck reaction products could be achieved through changing the visible light color over AuPd@N-Rich carbon nitride under mild conditions.

Development of Nitrolactonization Mediated by Iron(III) Nitrate Nonahydrate

The nitrolactonization of alkenyl carboxylic acids mediated by Fe(NO₃)₃·9H₂O has been developed. Nitrolactones were obtained in up to 93% yield by treatment of alkenyl carboxylic acids with Fe(NO₃)₃·9H₂O. Mechanistic studies disclosed that the reaction proceeded through a radical intermediate generated from addition of NO₂ to alkenyl carboxylic acids.

Iterative Suzuki-Miyaura Cross-coupling/Bromo-desilylation Reaction Sequences for the Assembly of Chemically Well-defined, Acyclic Oligopyrrole/Benzenoid Hybrids Embodying Mixed Modes of Connectivity

Syntheses of a range of chemically well-defined oligopyrrole/benzenoid hybrids are described using tandem Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling/bromo-desilyation reaction sequences for linking borylated pyrroles, halogenated pyrroles and/or dibromobenzenes to one another. By such means, including iterative variants, a range of all α-linked, all β-linked oligopyrroles as well as certain combinations thereof have been assembled, some of them for the first time. The conductivities of iodine-treated thin films formed from certain such systems have been determined.

Thiosemicarbazone Complexes of Transition Metals as Catalysts for Cross-Coupling Reactions

Catalysis of cross-coupling reactions under phosphane-free conditions represents an important ongoing challenge. Although transition metal complexes based on the thiosemicarbazone unit have been known for a very long time, their use in homogeneous catalysis has been studied only relatively recently. In particular, reports of cross-coupling catalytic reactions with such complexes have appeared only in the last 15 years. This review provides a survey of the research in this area and a discussion of the prospects for future developments.

Recent Advancement of Ullmann Condensation Coupling Reaction in the Formation of Aryl-Oxygen (C-O) Bonding by Copper-Mediated Catalyst

Transition metal-catalyzed chemical transformation of organic electrophiles and organometallic reagents belong to the most important cross coupling reaction in organic synthesis. The biaryl ether division is not only popular in natural products and synthetic pharmaceuticals but also widely found in many pesticides, polymers, and ligands. Copper catalyst has received great attention owing to the low toxicity and low cost. However, traditional Ullmann-type couplings suffer from limited substrate scopes and harsh reaction conditions. The introduction of homogeneous copper catalyst with presence of bidentate ligands over the past two decades has totally changed this situation as these ligands enable the reaction promoted in mild condition. The reaction scope has also been greatly expanded, rendering this copper-based cross-coupling attractive for both academia and industry. In this review, we will highlight the latest progress in the development of useful homogeneous copper catalyst with presence of ligand and heterogeneous copper catalyst in Ullmann type C-O cross-coupling reaction. Additionally, the application of Ullmann type C-O cross coupling reaction will be discussed.

3,3,3′,3′-Tetramethyl-2,2′-diphenyl-3H,3′H-5,5′-biindole

The palladium-catalyzed homocoupling of 5-iodo-3,3-dimethyl-2-phenyl-3H-indole afforded 3,3,3′,3′-tetramethyl-2,2′-diphenyl-3H,3′H-5,5′-biindole in 65% yield. This previously unreported compound was fully characterized by NMR, IR and HRMS data and its optical properties were studied by UV/vis and fluorescence spectroscopy.

Levoglucosenone and Its Pseudoenantiomer iso-Levoglucosenone as Scaffolds for Drug Discovery and Development

The bioderived platform molecule levoglucosenone (LGO, 1) and its readily prepared pseudoenantiomer (iso-LGO, 2) have each been subjected to α-iodination reactions with the product halides then being engaged in palladium-catalyzed Ullmann cross-coupling reactions with various bromonitropyridines. The corresponding α-pyridinylated derivatives such as 11 and 24, respectively, are produced as a result. Biological screening of such products reveals that certain of them display potent and selective antimicrobial and/or cytotoxic properties. In contrast, the azaindoles obtained by reductive cyclization of compounds such as 11 and 12 are essentially inactive in these respects. Preliminary mode-of-action studies are reported.

Copper-catalyzed direct amination of benzylic hydrocarbons and inactive aliphatic alkanes with arylamines

A new synthetic method toward direct C-N bond formation through saturated C-H amination of benzylic hydrocarbons and inactive aliphatic alkanes with primary aromatic amines under an inexpensive catalyst/oxidant (Cu/DTBP) system has been developed. Both aminopyridines and anilines could react smoothly with primary and secondary benzylic C-H substrates or cyclohexane to form the corresponding aromatic secondary amines in moderate to good yields. This protocol has the advantages of wide functional group tolerance and use of readily available raw materials.

Electrochemical Arylation of Electron-Deficient Arenes through Reductive Activation

An electrochemical method has been developed to achieve arylation of electron-deficient arenes through reductive activation. Various electron-deficient arenes and aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates are amenable to this transformation within the conditions of an undivided cell, providing the desired products in up to 92 % yield. Instead of preparing diazonium reagents, these reactions can begin from anilines, and they can be carried out in one pot. Electron paramagnetic resonance studies indicate that cathodic reduction of quinoxaline occurs using the transformation. Moreover, cyclic voltammetry indicates that both quinoxaline and aryl diazonium salt have relatively low reduction potentials, which suggests they can be activated through reduction during the reaction.

Microwave-Assisted Classic Ullmann C-C Coupling Polymerization for Acceptor-Acceptor Homopolymers

Developing cheap, clean and atomic-efficient synthetic methodologies for conjugated polymers are always critical for the field of organic electronics. Herein, classic Ullmann coupling polymerization is developed to synthesize a series of Acceptor-Acceptor (A-A) type homopolymers with microwave-assistance, which are supported by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF), elemental analysis (EA) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The physicochemical properties of these polymers are studied by UV-vis spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and density functional theory (DFT) calculation. Furthermore, these A-A homopolymers are used as acceptors for all-polymer solar cells (All-PSCs), affording a promising efficiency of 3.08%, which is the highest value for A-A-homopolymer-based organic solar cells.
