Abstract
The exploitation of efficient and economical electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is of exceeding interest in renewable clean-energy technologies. Herein, the facile solvothermal reaction of S and chromic acetate in ethylenediamine (en) achieved a novel organic hybrid chromium sulfide [Cr4(μ3-S)4(en)4(SH)4]·0.25H2O (1), which offers a new type of antiferromagnetic cubane-like chromium sulfide cluster with σ-donor en ligands. 1 was utilized in combination with Ni nanoparticles and porous Ni foam (NF) to fabricate a Ni/1/NF electrode as an efficient cathodic catalyst, indicating excellent electrocatalytic property toward HER.

Abstract
The new organic hybrid indium-telluride [In2(ea)2Te2]n (1; Hea = ethanolamine) exhibits a new type of one-dimensional polymeric chain based on the linkages of dinuclear [In2(ea)4]2+ and [In2Te4]2- units, which offers the first example of an indium-telluride framework incorporating binuclear complexes [In2(ea)4]2+ with a bridging O donor. 1 shows a distinctive photocurrent response and photocatalytic properties under visible-light illumination.

Abstract
The two acentric aluminoborates (ABOs) [M(dap)3]2{Al[B5O7(OH)3][B5O8(OH)2][B6O9(OH)2]} (M and dap represent Co(1)/Ni(2) and 1,2-diaminopropane, respectively) templated by chiral metal complexes (CMCs) have been solvothermally synthesized. The isostructural 1 and 2 crystallize in the chiral space group P21. Both feature unprecedented 2D wavelike layers built by three kinds of oxoboron (B-O) clusters ([B5O7(OH)3]2-, [B5O8(OH)2]3-, and [B6O9(OH)2]2-) and AlO4 tetrahedra. In the frameworks of 1 and 2, AlO4 and [B6O9(OH)2]2- units are strictly alternating into 1D chains. Further, [B5O8(OH)2]3- clusters link adjacent chains to form 2D wavelike layers. In addition, the [B5O7(OH)3]2- units as the hanging clusters are supported on two sides of the wavelike layers through AlO4 groups, resulting in the first example of a wavelike layer ABO composed of three kinds of B-O clusters and four types of channels. 1 and 2 display second-harmonic generation (SHG) signals about ∼1.3 and ∼0.93 times that of KH2PO4 (KDP) and belong to the class of wide-band-gap semiconductors.

Abstract
Two new one-dimensional (1D) vanadium(III) chalcogenidostannates, [H2tepa]0.5n[VIII(tepa)(μ-Sn2Q6)]n [Q = S (1), Se (2); tepa = tetraethylenepentamine], were achieved by solvothermal methods, which offer the first examples of organic hybrid polymeric chalcogenidostannates incorporating [V(tepa)]3+ complexes as bridging groups. Both 1 and 2 feature the 1D sinusoidal chains of [VIII(tepa)(μ-Sn2Q6)]n containing two types of novel bridging modes of the [μ-Sn2Q6]4- anion. Their magnetic, photocurrent response, and optical properties are also studied.

Abstract
Two novel manganese thioarsenates, {[Mn(2,2'-bipy)2(SCN)][Mn(2,2'-bipy)](As(V)S4)}2 (1, 2,2'-bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine) and {[Mn(2,2'-bipy)2(SCN)]2[As(III)2(S2)2S2]} (2), containing thiocyanate-modified Mn-2,2'-bipy complex cations were synthesized. They feature two terminal [Mn(2,2'-bipy)2(SCN)](+) complex cations bridged by a polyanion {[Mn(2,2'-bipy)]2(As(V)S4)2}(2-) for 1 and a cyclic thioarsenate anion (As(III)2S6)(2-) for 2. In 2, the [As(III)2(S2)2S2](2-) anion can be described as two (As(III)S3)(3-) trigonal-pyramids interlinked through S-S bonds. The method to obtain new metal complex cations shown here, introducing an anionic second ligand to modify the number of coordination sites and the charges of the metal complex cations simultaneously, is different from the traditional methods, varying either the TM center or the organic ligand or employing mixed neutral organic ligands, and may open up a new route for preparing novel chalcogenidometalates. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibit wide optical gaps of 2.20 and 2.67 eV, respectively, and photoluminescence with the emission maxima occurring around 440 nm. Magnetic measurements show the presence of antiferromagnetic interactions between Mn(II) centers in the two compounds.
