Abstract
Three-coordinated chlorogermylenes of the type [Ph2 P(RN)2 ]GeCl (3: R=t Bu; 4: R=Dip=2,6-i Pr2 C6 H3 ), which bear an N,N-substituted iminophosphonamide ligand, were synthesized. The coordination behavior of 3 and 4 toward rhodium(I) complex was investigated. When 3 was treated with 1/2 of an equivalent of [RhCl(cod)]2 (cod=1,5-cyclooctadiene), the corresponding chlorogermylene-Rh(I) complex 5 was obtained as orange crystals. In contrast, the reaction of 4 with a half equivalent of [RhCl(cod)]2 under a CO atmosphere resulted in the formation of a five-membered germarhodacycle 7. Compounds 3, 4, 5, and 7 were characterized using NMR spectroscopies and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 5 can be employed as a catalyst for the hydrosilylation and hydroboration reactions of diphenylacetylene, thus demonstrating the utility of germylene ligands comparable to those of NHCs in the major transition metal catalytic processes.

Abstract
Treatment of 2,6-dimethyl-1,1'-biphenyl-substituted chlorosilane with potassium followed by FeBr2/TMEDA led to the formation of an iron(II) monobromide complex supported by a TMEDA ligand and a carbanion-based ligand containing a six-membered silacycle-bridged biphenyl skeleton. The obtained complex crystallized as a racemic mixture of (Sa, S) and (Ra, R) forms, in which the dihedral angle of the two phenyl rings of the biphenyl moiety was ∼43°.

Abstract
Tetrylidynes [(Me3 P)2 (Ph3 P)Rh≡SnAr*] (10) and [(Me3 P)2 (Ph3 P)Rh≡PbAr*] (11) are accessed for the first time via dehydrogenation of dihydrides [(Ph3 P)2 RhH2 SnAr*] (3) and [(Ph3 P)2 RhH2 PbAr*] (7) (Ar*=2,6-Trip2 C6 H3 , Trip=2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl), respectively. Tin dihydride 3 was either synthesized in reaction of the dihydridostannate [Ar*SnH2 ]- with [(Ph3 P)3 RhCl] or via reaction between hydrides [(Ph3 P)3 RhH] and 1 / 2 [(Ar*SnH)2 ]. Homologous lead hydride [(Ph3 P)2 RhH2 PbAr*] (7) was synthesized analogously from [(Ph3 P)3 RhH] and 1 / 2 [(Ar*PbH)2 ]. Abstraction of hydrogen from 3 and 7 supported by styrene and trimethylphosphine addition yields tetrylidynes 10 and 11. Stannylidyne 10 was also characterized by 119 Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy. Hydrogenation of the triple bonds at room temperature with excess H2 gives the cis-dihydride [(Me3 P)2 (Ph3 P)RhH2 PbAr*] (12) and the tetrahydride [(Me3 P)2 (Ph3 P)RhH2 SnH2 Ar*] (14). Complex 14 eliminates spontaneously one equivalent of hydrogen at room temperature to give the dihydride [(Me3 P)2 (Ph3 P)RhH2 SnAr*] (13). Hydrogen addition and elimination at stannylene tin between complexes 13 and 14 is a reversible reaction at room temperature.

Abstract
Platinum complexes [Pt(NHC')(NHC)][BArF ] (in which NHC' denotes a cyclometalated N-heterocyclic carbene ligand, NHC) react with primary silanes RSiH3 to afford the cyclometalated platinum(II) silyl complexes [Pt(NHC-SiHR')(NHC)][BArF ] through a process that involves the formation of C-Si and Pt-Si bonds with concomitant extrusion of H2 . Low-temperature NMR studies indicate that the process proceeds through initial formation of the σ-SiH complexes [Pt(NHC')(NHC)(HSiH2 R)][BArF ], which are stable at temperatures below -10 °C. At higher temperatures, activation of one Si-H bond followed by a C-Si coupling reaction generates an agostic SiH platinum hydride derivative [Pt(H)(NHC'-SiH2 R)(NHC)][BArF ], which undergoes a second Si-H bond activation to afford the final products. Computational modeling of the reaction mechanism indicates that the stereochemistry of the silyl/hydride ligands after the first Si-H bond cleavage dictates the nature of the products, favoring the formation of a C-Si bond over a C-H bond, in contrast to previous results obtained for tertiary silanes. Furthermore, the process involves a trans-to-cis isomerization of the NHC ligand before the second Si-H bond cleavage.

Abstract
The rhodium(i) silyl carbonyl complexes [Rh{Si(OEt)3}(CO)(dippp)] () and [Rh{Si(OEt)3}(CO)(dippe)] () (dippp = 1,3-bis(diisopropylphosphino)propane, dippe = 1,2-bis-(diisopropylphosphino)ethane) were synthesized on treatment of the methyl compounds [Rh(CH3)(CO)(dippp)] () or [Rh(CH3)(CO)(dippe)] () with HSi(OEt)3 at low temperature. The methyl complexes and were prepared starting from the binuclear complexes [{Rh(μ-Cl)(dippp)}2] () and [{Rh(μ-Cl)(dippe)}2] (), respectively. The silyl complexes and as well as the precursors [{Rh(μ-I)(dippp)}2] (), [Rh(X)(CO)(dippp)] (: X = CH3, : X = I) and [Rh(X)(CO)(dippe)] (: X = CH3, : X = Cl) were characterized by NMR and IR spectroscopy and the structures in the solid state were determined by X-ray crystallography. The silyl complex converts into the carbonyl-bridged complex [{Rh(μ-CO)(dippp)}2] () above temperatures of -30 °C by loss of the silyl ligand, whereas is more thermally stable and a reaction to the binuclear complex [{Rh(μ-CO)(dippe)}2] () was observed at 50 °C. The silyl complex reacted under irradiation with hexafluorobenzene and pentafluoropyridine to give the C-F activation products [Rh(C6F5)(CO)(dippe)] () and [Rh(2-C5F4N)(CO)(dippe)] (), respectively. As additional products the silyl dicarbonyl complex [Rh{Si(OEt)3}(CO)2(dippe)] () and the cationic complex [Rh2(μ-H)(μ-CO)2(dippe)2](+)[SiF5](-) () were identified. Compound was synthesized independently by treatment of with gaseous CO. In a similar manner, the dippp analogue [Rh{Si(OEt)3}(CO)2(dippp)] () was also prepared starting from . Photochemical reaction of with pentafluorobenzene and 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoropyridine resulted selectively in C-H bond activation to afford and [Rh(4-C5F4N)(CO)(dippe)] (), respectively.
