Abstract
Purpose The performance of Omron HEM-1026 (HCR-1901T2 / HCR-1902T2) for monitoring blood pressure (BP) in the upper arm was validated in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 81060-2:2018+amendment (Amd)1:2020 protocol. Methods The device was assessed in 101 participants who fulfilled the inclusion criteria, including arm circumference range and systolic and diastolic BP provided by the protocol. Data validation and analysis were performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Results In the ISO 81060-2:2018+Amd 1:2020 validation procedure (criterion 1), the mean ± standard deviation (SD) of the differences between the test device and reference BP was -2.1 ± 7.24/-0.6 ± 5.63 mmHg (systolic/diastolic). These data fulfilled the ISO81060-2:2018+Amd1:2020 requirement of ≤5±≤8 mmHg. The mean differences between the two observers and Omron HEM-1026 were -2.1 ± 5.71 mmHg for systolic BP and -0.6 ± 4.81 mmHg for diastolic BP, fulfilling criterion 2 with an SD of ≤ 6.62 for systolic BP and ≤ 6.91 for diastolic BP. The two ISO criteria were fulfilled. Conclusion The Omron HEM-1026 BP monitor fulfilled the requirements of the ISO 81060-2:2018+Amd 1:2020 validation standard and can be recommended for home BP measurements in the general population.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Evaluation of the accuracy of the wrist-type fully automatic blood pressure (BP) monitor: DBP-2242 in adolescent and adult populations according to ISO 81060-2 : 2018+Amd.1 : 2020. METHODS BP measurements were taken from the subjects using the same-arm sequential method, and BP data measured by a mercury sphygmomanometer was used as the standard. RESULTS This study analyzed 262 sets of data from 89 subjects. According to criterion 1, the mean difference between the SBP of the test and reference devices was -0.57 ± 7.31 mmHg, and the DBP was -2.27 ± 7.17 mmHg, which is in accordance with the requirements. According to criterion 2, the average difference between the SBP was -0.57 ± 6.25 mmHg and the DBP was -2.27 ± 5.99 mmHg, which is in accordance with the requirements. CONCLUSION Wrist-type fully automatic BP monitor: DBP-2242 complies with ISO 81060-2 : 2018+Amd.1 : 2020 and can be used for BP measurement in adolescent and adult populations.

Abstract
To evaluate the accuracy of the DBP-1333b upper-arm blood pressure (BP) measuring device in the adult population according to the AAMI/ESH/ISO universal standard (ISO 81060-2:2018+Amd.1:2020). Subjects were recruited in the adult population. The test device was an arm-type electronic sphygmomanometer (DBP-1333b) and the reference device was a desktop sphygmomanometer (XJ11D). Using the BP data measured by the desktop sphygmomanometer as reference BP, the accuracy of the non-invasive BP module of the test device was evaluated to determine whether it met the requirements. Data from 90 individuals were analysed. According to Criterion 1, the mean difference of SBP between the test and reference device was 0.19 mmHg and the SD was 7.45 mmHg. The mean difference of DBP was -0.59 mmHg and the SD was 6.47 mmHg. The mean difference of both SBP and DBP was less than 5 mmHg, and the SD was less than 8 mmHg, which met the requirements. According to Criterion 2, SD of SBP was 5.79 mmHg, which was less than 6.95 mmHg and met the requirements. The SD of DBP was 5.58 mmHg, which was less than 6.93 mmHg and met the requirements. It was concluded that the DBP-1333b complies with the AAMI/ESH/ISO universal standard (ISO 81060-2:2018+Amd.1:2020) and can be recommended for use by the adults.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Worldwide, arterial hypertension is the foremost preventable and modifiable cardiovascular risk factor. In addition to lifestyle changes, recent international guidelines recommend single-pill, low-dose combinations as initial treatment strategy. We investigated whether this approach is feasible in a rural sub-Saharan Africa setting. METHODS Diagnosis of hypertension was established over three sets of blood pressure measurements, performed according to the European Society of Hypertension recommendations by trained personnel, using a validated, automated, oscillometric device OMRON M7 IT-HEM-7322-E. In 98 individuals with arterial hypertension, a once-daily, single-pill combination of olmesartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide was prescribed at an appropriate dose. Patients were instructed on its administration and potential side effects and encouraged towards lifestyle modifications. The treatment regimen was adjusted, if needed, at each outpatient clinic scheduled after 4, 8, 12, and 16 weeks. RESULTS Seventy-nine patients (aged 61 [53-70] years; median and interquartile range) strictly adhered to the treatment schedule, while 19 individuals (70 [65-80] years) dropped out. Blood pressure was < 140/90 mmHg after 4 weeks in 44 (56%), after 8 weeks in 62 (78%), after 12 weeks in 69 (87%), and after 16 weeks in 74 (94%) participants. Excellent tolerance was reported. CONCLUSIONS These results provide real-life evidence that hypertension management with a once-daily, single-pill combination of olmesartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide as initial treatment is feasible and effective also in a rural sub-Saharan setting. Single-pill combinations should be made available also in rural and remote areas in low- and middle-income countries as a reliable first-line treatment strategy.

Abstract
Although social influences have been identified that protect against the intergenerational transmission of antisocial behavior, there has been no prior research on biological protective factors. This study examines whether high resting heart rate may be one such factor. Resting heart rate was measured in 405 children of parents from a birth cohort, together with antisocial behavior in both the parent and the child. Children who were not antisocial, but had a parent high on antisocial behavior, had higher resting heart rates than all three other parent-child antisocial behavior groupings. Results withstood control for age, gender, ethnicity, body mass index, and psychosocial adversity. Robustness checks confirmed these results. Findings are the first to identify a biological protective factor against the intergenerational transmission of childhood antisocial behavior.

Abstract
In rural sub-Saharan Africa, knowledge of non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure (BP) is rather limited. This report provides information about a BP screening in Mata Sector, a rural region in Southern Province of Rwanda. Community-based, house-to-house screening was performed between February and July 2020 on more than 7000 inhabitants. The screening was conducted by a local team composed by 20 community health care workers, five community health care supervisors, and one nurse with hypertension surveillance training. BP and heart rate were recorded after 5 min of resting, using a validated automated oscillometric OMRON M6 IT-HEM-7322-E monitor with Intelli Wrap Cuff (HEM-FL31-E) technology. The mean of the second and third value was retained. BP was normal (<140/90 mm Hg) in 6340 (88%) and elevated in 863 (12%) participants with 95% of unawareness. Grade 1 (140-159/90-99 mm Hg) hypertensive BP readings were detected in 697 (81%), grade 2 (160-179/100-109 mm Hg) in 134 (16%), and grade 3 (≥180/≥110 mm Hg) in 32 (3.7%) individuals. The prevalence of hypertensive readings was significantly age-dependent. Additionally, a slightly greater proportion of participants with high BP (14% versus 11%) had a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 25.0 kg/m2. Also resting heart rate was higher in individuals with high BP (82 versus 77 beats/min). Although individuals identified with occasionally elevated BP values need further confirmatory measurements to establish the diagnosis of hypertension, these data suggest that high BP represents a noteworthy and preventable reason of concern within sub-Saharan Africa.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Noninvasive pulse waveform analysis is valuable for central cardiovascular assessment, yet controversies persist over its validity in peripheral measurements. Our objective was to compare waveform features from a cuff system with suprasystolic blood pressure hold with an invasive aortic measurement. METHODS AND RESULTS This study analyzed data from 88 subjects undergoing concurrent aortic catheterization and brachial pulse waveform acquisition using a suprasystolic blood pressure cuff system. Oscillometric blood pressure (BP) was compared with invasive aortic systolic BP and diastolic BP. Association between cuff and catheter waveform features was performed on a set of 15 parameters inclusive of magnitudes, time intervals, pressure-time integrals, and slopes of the pulsations. The evaluation covered both static (subject-averaged values) and dynamic (breathing-induced fluctuations) behaviors. Peripheral BP values from the cuff device were higher than catheter values (systolic BP-residual, 6.5 mm Hg; diastolic BP-residual, 12.4 mm Hg). Physiological correction for pressure amplification in the arterial system improved systolic BP prediction (r2=0.83). Dynamic calibration generated noninvasive BP fluctuations that reflect those invasively measured (systolic BP Pearson R=0.73, P<0.001; diastolic BP Pearson R=0.53, P<0.001). Static and dynamic analyses revealed a set of parameters with strong associations between catheter and cuff (Pearson R>0.5, P<0.001), encompassing magnitudes, timings, and pressure-time integrals but not slope-based parameters. CONCLUSIONS This study demonstrated that the device and methods for peripheral waveform measurements presented here can be used for noninvasive estimation of central BP and a subset of aortic waveform features. These results serve as a benchmark for central cardiovascular assessment using suprasystolic BP cuff-based devices and contribute to preserving system dynamics in noninvasive measurements.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Blood pressure, grip strength and lung function are frequently assessed in longitudinal population studies, but the measurement devices used differ between studies and within studies over time. We aimed to compare measurements ascertained from different commonly used devices. METHODS We used a randomised cross-over study. Participants were 118 men and women aged 45-74 years whose blood pressure, grip strength and lung function were assessed using two sphygmomanometers (Omron 705-CP and Omron HEM-907), four handheld dynamometers (Jamar Hydraulic, Jamar Plus+ Digital, Nottingham Electronic and Smedley) and two spirometers (Micro Medical Plus turbine and ndd Easy on-PC ultrasonic flow-sensor) with multiple measurements taken on each device. Mean differences between pairs of devices were estimated along with limits of agreement from Bland-Altman plots. Sensitivity analyses were carried out using alternative exclusion criteria and summary measures, and using multilevel models to estimate mean differences. RESULTS The mean difference between sphygmomanometers was 3.9mmHg for systolic blood pressure (95% Confidence Interval (CI):2.5,5.2) and 1.4mmHg for diastolic blood pressure (95% CI:0.3,2.4), with the Omron HEM-907 measuring higher. For maximum grip strength, the mean difference when either one of the electronic dynamometers was compared with either the hydraulic or spring-gauge device was 4-5kg, with the electronic devices measuring higher. The differences were small when comparing the two electronic devices (difference = 0.3kg, 95% CI:-0.9,1.4), and when comparing the hydraulic and spring-gauge devices (difference = 0.2kg, 95% CI:-0.8,1.3). In all cases limits of agreement were wide. The mean difference in FEV1 between spirometers was close to zero (95% CI:-0.03,0.03), limits of agreement were reasonably narrow, but a difference of 0.47l was observed for FVC (95% CI:0.53,0.42), with the ndd Easy on-PC measuring higher. CONCLUSION Our study highlights potentially important differences in measurement of key functions when different devices are used. These differences need to be considered when interpreting results from modelling intra-individual changes in function and when carrying out cross-study comparisons, and sensitivity analyses using correction factors may be helpful.

Abstract
This case describes a young, healthy woman who developed a grade 1 biceps muscle strain after the use of automatic non-invasive blood pressure monitoring during an elective surgical procedure. She was treated conservatively with simple analgesia, physiotherapy and a sling for comfort. Follow-up conducted 1 week later revealed occasional soreness, but she had almost returned to her baseline activity. The patient made a full recovery without any residual symptoms by the end of 6 weeks. This case highlights the importance of careful monitoring to ensure that routine use of blood pressure cuffs does not cause any pressure injuries.

Abstract
The present paper provides an update of previous recommendations on Home Blood Pressure Monitoring from the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) Working Group on Blood Pressure Monitoring and Cardiovascular Variability sequentially published in years 2000, 2008 and 2010. This update has taken into account new evidence in this field, including a recent statement by the American Heart association, as well as technological developments, which have occurred over the past 20 years. The present document has been developed by the same ESH Working Group with inputs from an international team of experts, and has been endorsed by the ESH.

Abstract
Background and Objectives: The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) poses significant clinical and public health challenges across the world. This study aimed to study the metabolic risk factors and the association with blood pressure alteration. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted between 2017 and 2018 among 284 male university students in Eastern province, Saudi Arabia. The obesity and cardiovascular measurements were taken using standardized instruments, including blood pressure (BP), mean arterial pressure, body mass index (BMI), body adiposity index (BAI), waist circumference (WC), waist-to-hip ratio (WHR), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), body fat percentage (BFP), and basal metabolic rate (BMR). Statistical Analysis: Blood pressure was classified according to the United States of America, Sixth Joint National committee (JNC-VI) guidelines. The mean and standard error were calculated for each hypertension group variable. Logistic regression was applied to predict associations. Results: The prevalence of hypertension in the present study was 61.6%., and that of overweight and obesity was 16.5% and 34.9%, respectively. The cut-off values of BMI and WC were 22.23 and 75.24, respectively. Conclusions: The results demonstrated that BMI, WC, WHR, and WHtR significantly predict hypertension and that WC has a greater discrimination capacity than other measures. The findings also emphasize the importance of cardiovascular risk screening for young adults to detect any alterations in blood pressure and thus identify the population that is vulnerable to CVDs at an early stage. The findings highlight the need for health and university policymakers to adopt measures to monitor and control hypertension and obesity at the university level.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Blood pressure (BP) measurement accuracy is critical to the diagnosis and management of hypertension. The aim of the present study was to validate the Omron HBP-1100-E professional blood pressure measuring device in accordance with the American Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation in Iranian adults. MATERIALS AND METHODS Simultaneous blood pressure auscultator measurements were obtained by two observers using mercury sphygmomanometers as a reference, sequentially with a measurement by using the Omron HBP-1100-E device. Absolute device-reference blood pressure differences were categorized into three error categories (within 5, 10, and 15 mmHg), and mean device-reference blood pressure difference (standard deviation) was calculated and evaluated using the American Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation criteria. RESULTS A total of 85 participants (250 paired readings) were enrolled to the study. 26.8%, 55.6%, and 79.6% of the device-reference blood pressure differences agreed to within 5, 10 and 15 mmHg, respectively, for systolic blood pressure, and 39.6%, 69.2%, and 81.6% of measurements for diastolic blood pressure, respectively, and failed to pass the protocol criteria. The mean device-reference blood pressure difference was 8.0 ± 13.1 mmHg for systolic BP and 2.2 ± 11.3 mmHg for diastolic BP, and was >5.0 ± 8.0 mmHg (required criteria). CONCLUSION Omron HBP-1100-E professional blood pressure monitor is not desirable for measuring the BP for Iranian adults as it overestimates blood pressure in this population.

Abstract
Advancements in materials science and fabrication techniques have contributed to the significant growing attention to a wide variety of sensors for digital healthcare. While the progress in this area is tremendously impressive, few wearable sensors with the capability of real-time blood pressure monitoring are approved for clinical use. One of the key obstacles in the further development of wearable sensors for medical applications is the lack of comprehensive technical evaluation of sensor materials against the expected clinical performance. Here, we present an extensive review and critical analysis of various materials applied in the design and fabrication of wearable sensors. In our unique transdisciplinary approach, we studied the fundamentals of blood pressure and examined its measuring modalities while focusing on their clinical use and sensing principles to identify material functionalities. Then, we carefully reviewed various categories of functional materials utilized in sensor building blocks allowing for comparative analysis of the performance of a wide range of materials throughout the sensor operational-life cycle. Not only this provides essential data to enhance the materials' properties and optimize their performance, but also, it highlights new perspectives and provides suggestions to develop the next generation pressure sensors for clinical use.

Abstract
Aim This study aimed to determine the effect of a cuff properly sized for mid-upper arm circumference on blood pressure measurement in obese surgical patients. Method This prospective crossover clinical trial was conducted with 100 patients who had body mass index ≥30 kg/m2 and mid-upper arm circumference ≥27 cm and were admitted to the general surgery unit of a medical faculty hospital in İstanbul, Turkey between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2015. Blood pressure of the patients was measured using a small-sized adult cuff and a cuff properly sized for mid-upper arm circumference. Results Among the patients, 39% were morbidly obese and 67% had mid-upper arm circumference between 35 and 44 cm. Systolic blood pressure of the patients with a small adult cuff was 20.78 mmHg higher than that obtained with a cuff properly sized for mid-upper arm circumference, and their diastolic blood pressure was 10.15 mmHg higher on average (p<0.001). Only 6% of those with systolic hypertension according to the small adult cuff readings were found to have hypertension according to the cuff properly sized for mid-upper arm circumference (p<0.001). Conclusion The results showed that, in obese surgical patients, blood pressure is measured inaccurately and found to be falsely high when measurements are not performed using a cuff properly sized for mid-upper arm circumference.

Abstract
It is recommended that the cuff should be wrapped around the upper arm with the midline of the bladder placed over the brachial artery during blood pressure (BP) measurement. However, in practice, the cuff of sphygmomanometers is often incorrectly placed. The authors aimed to assess the effect on the accuracy of BP measurement as to the placement of the cuff bladder by using oscillometric devices. Participants aged 18 years or older were enrolled. The center of the cuff bladder was placed directly over the brachial artery as the standard position (correct position), which was rotated by 90°medially (medial position), 90°laterally (lateral position), and rotated by 180°(contralateral position), respectively. The main outcomes were non-invasive brachial BP in the four cuff positions, brachial artery pulse wave velocity, ankle-brachial index, and invasive radial BP. Of 799 participants, 56.4% were men (60.37 ± 12.73 years), and of the 104 intensive care unit participants, 60.57% were men (57.78 ± 15.89 years). There were no significant differences in non-invasive brachial BP among the four cuff positions (P > .1), and the mean BP differences between incorrect and standard cuff positions were within 1.0 mm Hg. BP of the incorrect positions was positively correlated with standard position (P < .001, r > .88) and showed good consistency. There was no effect on the accuracy of BP measurement as to the location of the midline of the cuff bladder by using oscillometric devices with a conventional cuff.

Abstract
Endotracheal intubation elicits huge spectrum of stress responses which are hazardous in high-risk patients. Numerous drugs and techniques have been applied to attenuate the stress responses. In this double-blind study, one hundred and forty-five patients over 20 years old, ASA physical status I and II, undergoing elective surgeries requiring general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation were included. Patients were randomly divided into three groups which fentanyl 2 mcg/kg was given at either 1, 2, 3 minutes before intubation. All groups received midazolam 0.05 mg/kg, lidocaine 0.5 mg/kg, propofol 2 mg/kg and rocuronium 1 mg/kg before intubation. Haemodynamic parameters were recorded for 10 minutes after induction. Two-level longitudinal hierarchical linear models were used for data interpretation and P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. The study demonstrated significantly lower haemodynamic responses in the group who received fentanyl 2 minutes before intubation (P < 0.05). Confounding factors such as smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and preoperative intravenous fluid supplement were analysed. In conclusion, fentanyl injection 2 minutes before intubation is recommended in order to obtain the most stable haemodynamic status.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE A mercury sphygmomanometer has been considered a gold standard for measuring blood pressure. However, by the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the traditional mercury sphygmomanometer is being replaced by an automated oscillometric device. This study aimed to provide scientific evidence to determine whether an automated oscillometric device can replace a mercury sphygmomanometer and if it is applicable in routine practice. METHODS MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and CINAHL were searched on 4 May 2018. Studies comparing blood pressure measurements between automated oscillometric devices and mercury sphygmomanometers were included. Study characteristics were abstracted using the evidence table, and random-effects meta-analyses were conducted. RESULTS Data were compiled from 24 studies comprising 47 759 subjects. The results of meta-analysis showed that automated oscillometric devices measured lower than mercury sphygmomanometers for both systolic blood pressure (mean differences -1.75 mmHg, 95% confidence intervals: -3.05 to -0.45, I = 91.0%) and diastolic blood pressure (mean differences -1.20 mmHg, 95% confidence intervals: -2.16 to -0.24, I = 95.0%). In sub-group analyses by manufacturer, BpTRU measured lower than the mercury sphygmomanometer and OMRON showed no difference compared to the mercury sphygmomanometer for both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, but the results differed depending on the devices. CONCLUSION As a result of this review, the difference in blood pressure between the mercury sphygmomanometer and the automated oscillometric device was within 5 mmHg, but the heterogeneity between the studies was very high. The automated oscillometric devices showed differences in blood pressure results according to the manufacturer and product type.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Education is vital to increasing knowledge, improving prevention and self-care practices for hypertension in older adults. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a health education intervention in improving hypertension (HT) knowledge, prevention and self-care practices among retirees in Enugu State, South-east, Nigeria. METHODS In this quasi-experimental study, we enrolled 400 participants in Enugu and Nsukka cities in Enugu State, south-east Nigeria. Participants were assigned to the treatment and control groups. Participants in the intervention/treatment group (T-group) received the intervention provided by public health experts and nurses and participants in the control group (C-group) received health talk without the intervention. Data collected at baseline (before intervention), 16 weeks (4th month) and follow-up (5th month) included demographic variables, knowledge about hypertension, prevention and self-care practices. We used paired samples t-test, Chi-square test and one-way ANOVA repeated measures for data analyses. RESULTS The mean age of the participants was 65.9 (± 8.9) years, the mean SBP and DBP were 136.5 (± 13.3) and 87.9 (± 9.1) respectively. More than half of the participants were (50.3%) were males, and the mean BMI was 23.9 (± 5.1) kg/m2. The paired comparison analysis showed that the mean HT knowledge score significantly increased in the T-group between baseline and 1 month (4th month) post-intervention compared to those in the C-group (P < 0.0001). Also, PA (P = 0.007), sleep pattern and quality (P = 0.003), substance use abstinence (P = 0.000), healthy diet (P = 0.000), and medication adherence (P = 0.000) improved significantly in the T-group compared to the control between baseline and 1 month after intervention. The repeated measures analyses showed statistically significant effects (between-groups analysis) for all outcomes with small to large effect sizes. Similarly, the repeated measures ANOVA analyses showed significant time-by-group interaction effects (within-groups) for all the outcomes with small to large effect sizes. CONCLUSION Community-based health education intervention targeted at older adults can increase HT knowledge, improve prevention and self-care practices of hypertension at the population level.

Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to determine the accuracy of the Omron HEM-7320-LA with Intelli Wrap technology cuff HEM-FL1 for self-measurement and clinic blood pressure (BP) measurement according to the European Society of Hypertension International Protocol revision 2010. Participants and methods The evaluation was performed in 39 individuals. The mean age of the participants was 47.9±14 years; systolic BP was 145.2±24.3 mmHg (range: 97–190), diastolic BP was 90.9±12.9 mmHg (range: 68–120), and arm circumference was 30.8±4 cm (range: 25–38.5). Results The device successfully fulfilled the established criteria of the validation protocol. The device overestimated systolic BP by 0.6±5.7 mmHg and diastolic BP by 2.2±5.1 mmHg. The specially designed cuff HEM-FL1 to cover a broad range of arm circumferences and self-placement fulfilled the requirements of the International Protocol.

Abstract
Studies have documented independent contribution of sympathetic activation to the cardiovascular disease continuum. Hypertension is one of the leading modifiable factors. Most if not all the benefit of antihypertensive treatment depends on blood pressure lowering, regardless how it is obtained. Resistant hypertension is defined as blood pressure that remains uncontrolled in spite of the concurrent use of three antihypertensive drugs of different classes. Ideally, one of the three drugs should be a diuretic, and all drugs should be prescribed at optimal dose amounts. Poor adherence to antihypertensive therapy, undiscovered secondary causes (e.g. obstructive sleep apnea, primary aldosteronism, renal artery stenosis), and lifestyle factors (e.g. obesity, excessive sodium intake, heavy alcohol intake, various drug interactions) are the most common causes of resistant hypertension. Cardio(reno)vascular morbidity and mortality are significantly higher in resistant hypertensive than in general hypertensive population, as such patients are typically presented with a long-standing history of poorly controlled hypertension. Early diagnosis and treatment is needed to avoid further end-organ damage to prevent cardiorenovascular remodeling. Treatment strategy includes lifestyle changes, adding a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist, treatment adherence in cardiovascular prevention and, in case of failure to control blood pressure, renal sympathetic denervation or baroreceptor activation therapy. The comparative outcomes in resistant hypertension deserve better understanding. In this review, the most current approaches to resistant hypertension and cardiovascular risk based on the available literature evidence will be discussed.
