Electron transfer enhanced catalytic activity of nitrogen doped reduced graphene oxide supported CuCo2O4 towards the fast reduction of 4-nitrophenol in water

There has been a growing interest in the design and development of graphene based composite materials with superior performances for environmental catalytic applications. But in most of the studies the synthesis conditions require elevated temperatures and expensive working setups (high temperature furnaces, autoclaves, inert atmosphere conditions etc.). In this reported work, the nitrogen doped reduced graphene oxide supported CuCo2O4 (NG/CuCo2O4) composites were prepared through a simple one pot synthesis method under mild conditions (∼95 °C and air atmosphere) and successfully employed as catalysts for the reduction of toxic 4-nitrophenol (4NP). The characterization results revealed the successful formation of NG/CuCo2O4 composites with a possible charge transfer interaction between nitrogen doped reduced graphene oxide support of CuCo2O4. The NG/CuCo2O4 hybrids exhibited robust catalytic activity in 4NP reduction with an activity factor of 261.5 min-1 g-1. A 4NP conversion percentage which is as high as 99.5% was achieved within 11 min using the NG/CuCo2O4 catalyst. The detailed kinetic analysis confirmed the Langmuir-Hinshelwood model for the NG/CuCo2O4 catalysed 4NP reduction. The nitrogen doped reduced graphene oxide support modified the electronic levels of CuCo2O4 nanoparticles through electron transfer interactions and enhanced the catalytic activity of CuCo2O4 in NG/CuCo2O4 through improved adsorption of reactant ions and effective generation of active hydrogen species. The good reusability and stability along with profound activity of NG/CuCo2O4 catalyst makes it a promising material for wide scale catalytic applications.

Revolutionizing Cancer Treatment: The Promising Horizon of Zein Nanosystems

Various nanomaterials have recently become fascinating tools in cancer diagnostic applications because of their multifunctional and inherent molecular characteristics that support efficient diagnosis and image-guided therapy. Zein nanoparticles are a protein derived from maize. It belongs to the class of prolamins possessing a spherical structure with conformational properties similar to those of conventional globular proteins like ribonuclease and insulin. Zein nanoparticles have gained massive interest over the past couple of years owing to their natural hydrophilicity, ease of functionalization, biodegradability, and biocompatibility, thereby improving oral bioavailability, nanoparticle targeting, and prolonged drug administration. Thus, zein nanoparticles are becoming a promising candidate for precision cancer drug delivery. This review highlights the clinical significance of applying zein nanosystems for cancer theragnostic─moreover, the role of zein nanosystems for cancer drug delivery, anticancer agents, and gene therapy. Finally, the difficulties and potential uses of these NPs in cancer treatment and detection are discussed. This review will pave the way for researchers to develop theranostic strategies for precision medicine utilizing zein nanosystems.

PDDA induced step-pyramidal growth of nickel-platinum (Ni-Pt) nanoparticles for enhanced 4-nitrophenol reduction

Herein, we report the synthesis of novel platinum-based nanoparticles with step-pyramidal growth induced by poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA). The complex stepped pyramidal shape became the central point for outstanding catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol, overcoming the activity of bare Pt nanoparticles. These results are valuable for the catalytic degradation of reactive molecules.

Progress for Co-Incorporation of Polydopamine and Nanoparticles for Improving Membranes Performance

Incorporating polydopamine has become a viable method for membrane modification due to its universality and versatility. Fillers in their different categories have been confirmed as effective elements to improve the properties of membranes such as hydrophilicity, permeability, mechanical strength, and fouling resistance. Thus, this paper mainly highlights the recent studies that have been carried out using polydopamine and nanomaterial fillers simultaneously in modifying the performance of different membranes such as ultrafiltration, microfiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and forward osmosis membranes according to the various modification methods. Graphene oxide nanoparticles have recently attracted a lot of attention among different nanoparticles used with polydopamine, due to their impressive characteristics impacts on enhancing membrane hydrophilicity, mechanical strength, and fouling resistance. Thus, the incorporation techniques of graphene oxide nanoparticles and polydopamine for enhancing membranes have been highlighted in this work. Moreover, different studies carried out on using polydopamine as a nanofiller for optimizing membrane performance have been discussed. Finally, perspectives, and possible paths of further research on mussel-inspired polydopamine and nanoparticles co-incorporation are stated according to the progress made in this field. It is anticipated that this review would provide benefits for the scientific community in designing a new generation of polymeric membranes for the treatment of different feed water and wastewater based on adhesive mussel inspired polydopamine polymer and nanomaterials combinations.

Tannic acid: a crosslinker leading to versatile functional polymeric networks: a review

With the thriving of mussel-inspired polyphenol chemistry as well as the demand for low-cost analogues to polydopamine in adhesive design, tannic acid has gradually become a research focus because of its wide availability, health benefits and special chemical properties. As a natural building block, tannic acid could be used as a crosslinker either supramolecularly or chemically, ensuring versatile functional polymeric networks for various applications. Up to now, a systematic summary on tannic-acid-based networks has still been waiting for an update and outlook. In this review, the common features of tannic acid are summarized in detail, followed by the introduction of covalent and non-covalent crosslinking methods leading to various tannic-acid-based materials. Moreover, recent progress in the application of tannic acid composites is also summarized, including bone regeneration, skin adhesives, wound dressings, drug loading and photothermal conversion. Above all, we also provide further prospects concerning tannic-acid-crosslinked materials.

Cofactors-like peptide self-assembly exhibiting the enhanced catalytic activity in the peptide-metal nanocatalysts

The peptide self-assembly would be expected to be as the assistance of metallic nanocatalysts to promote the catalytic reaction, attracting limited attention, but being highly anticipated. Herein, we proposed and verified an alternative strategy for enhancing the catalytic activity of the 4-nitrophenol reduction as a model reaction, by optimizing and constructing "cofactors" inspired amyloid peptide self-assembly applied in the peptide-metal nanocatalysts as the template due to the potential superiority of substrate binding. Amyloid peptide self-assembled membrane exhibited better enhanced catalytic activity, compared to peptide nanofibers as the template in the peptide-gold nanocatalysts. The optimized amyloid peptide was designated by molecular dynamic simulation to display the relative strongest interaction with specific substrate and the relative good template effect on the enhanced catalytic activity was also proved accordingly. This work may shed light on the future design and construction of novel enzyme mimics with dramatic enhanced catalytic activity by peptide assembly-metal nanocatalysts.

Surface Functionalization of Graphene-Based Materials: Biological Behavior, Toxicology, and Safe-By-Design Aspects

The increasing exploitation of graphene-based materials (GBMs) is driven by their unique properties and structures, which ignite the imagination of scientists and engineers. At the same time, the very properties that make them so useful for applications lead to growing concerns regarding their potential impacts on human health and the environment. Since GBMs are inert to reaction, various attempts of surface functionalization are made to make them reactive. Herein, surface functionalization of GBMs, including those intentionally designed for specific applications, as well as those unintentionally acquired (e.g., protein corona formation) from the environment and biota, are reviewed through the lenses of nanotoxicity and design of safe materials (safe-by-design). Uptake and toxicity of functionalized GBMs and the underlying mechanisms are discussed and linked with the surface functionalization. Computational tools that can predict the interaction of GBMs behavior with their toxicity are discussed. A concise framing of current knowledge and key features of GBMs to be controlled for safe and sustainable applications are provided for the community.

Stepwise immobilization of keratin-dopamine conjugates and gold nanoparticles on PET sheets for potential vascular graft with the catalytic generation of nitric oxide

Gold nanoparticles(AuNPs) are capable to catalyze the nitric oxide (NO) generation from endogenous and exogenous donors, thereby promoting re-endothelialization and inhibiting intimal hyperplasia and thrombosis. Herein, keratin-dopamine conjugates were synthesized and then immobilized on the surface of the pre-aminolyzed poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) via self-polymerization of dopamine residue, following by the formation of AuNPs in situ without extra reductant. The modified PET sheets(PET-AuNPs) could promote the growth of HUVECs while inhibit the proliferation of HUASMCs due to their catalytic generation of NO from GSNO. In addition, these sheets exhibited antibacterial properties and good blood compatibility without hemolysis. Taken together, this strategy for designing prosthetic vascular grafts to treat cardiovascular diseases has great potential.

Smart paper transformer: new insight for enhanced catalytic efficiency and reusability of noble metal nanocatalysts

Although noble metal nanocatalysts show superior performance to conventional catalysts, they can be problematic when balancing catalytic efficiency and reusability. In order to address this dilemma, we developed a smart paper transformer (s-PAT) to support nanocatalysts, based on easy phase conversion between paper and pulp, for the first time. The pulp phase was used to maintain the high catalytic efficiency of the nanocatalysts and the transformation to paper enabled their high reusability. Herein, as an example of smart paper transformers, a novel chromatography paper-supported Au nanosponge (AuNS/pulp) catalyst was developed through a simple water-based preparation process for the successful reduction of p-nitrophenol to demonstrate the high catalytic efficiency and reusability of the noble metal nanocatalyst/pulp system. The composition, structure, and morphology of the AuNS/pulp catalyst were characterized by XRD, TGA, FE-SEM, ICP, TEM, FT-IR, and XPS. The AuNS/pulp catalyst was transformed into the pulp phase during the catalytic reaction and into the paper phase to recover the catalysts after use. Owing to this smart switching of physical morphology, the AuNS/pulp catalyst was dispersed more evenly in the solution. Therefore, it exhibited excellent catalytic performance for p-nitrophenol reduction. Under optimal conditions, the conversion rate of p-nitrophenol reached nearly 100% within 6 min and the k value of AuNS/pulp (0.0106 s⁻¹) was more than twice that of a traditional chromatography paper-based catalyst (0.0048 s⁻¹). Additionally, it exhibited outstanding reusability and could maintain its high catalytic efficiency even after fifteen recycling runs. Accordingly, the unique phase switching of this smart paper transformer enables Au nanosponge to transform into a highly efficient and cost-effective multifunctional catalyst. The paper transformer can support various nanocatalysts for a wide range of applications, thus providing a new insight into maintaining both high catalytic efficiency and reusability of nanocatalysts in the fields of environmental catalysis and nanomaterials.

A smart paper transformer supported nanocatalyst platform is developed based on the facile phase conversion between paper and pulp for both high-efficiency and high-reusability catalysis, with wide applications demonstrated by using Au nanosponge.

Double-walled hierarchical porous silica nanotubes loaded Au nanoparticles in the interlayer as a high-performance catalyst

Double-walled hierarchical porous silica nanotubes (NTs) loaded Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) in the interlayer (SiO₂@Au@SiO₂ NTs) are synthesized by using tetraethoxysilane as silica source and hollow polydivinylbenzene (PDVB) nanowires as the sacrificial templates. The mesopores on the walls and the hollow structure of NTs (macropores) construct the hierarchical porous structure. The SiO₂@Au@SiO₂ NTs possess a high surface area of 405 m² g^-1 and an average pores size of 4.7 nm. The double-walled structure protects the Au NPs from environmental attacks, which shows an excellent catalytic activity even after reusing 10 times. Meanwhile, the hierarchical porous structure shows excellent catalytic ability and allows the catalytic reaction process to be completed within 5 min. This result indicates that double-walled silica NTs have vast potential in catalysis application due to the special structure.

In situ immobilization of sulfated-β-cyclodextrin as stationary phase for capillary electrochromatography enantioseparation

In this work, a novel sulfated-β-cyclodextrin (S-β-CD) coated stationary phase was prepared for open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC). The capillary was developed by attaching polydopamine/sulfated-β-cyclodextrin (PDA/S-β-CD) onto the gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) coated capillary which was pretreated with polydopamine. The results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis spectroscopy (EDS) indicated that polydopamine/sulfated-β-cyclodextrin was successfully fixed on the gold nanoparticles coated capillary. To evaluate the performance of the prepared open tubular (OT) column, the enantioseparation was carried out by using ten chiral drugs as model analytes. Under the optimal conditions, salbutamol, terbutaline, trantinterol, tulobuterol, clorprenaline, pheniramine, chlorpheniramine, brompheniramine, isoprenaline and tolterodine were baseline separated with the resolution (Rs) values of 3.25, 1.76, 2.51, 1.89, 3.17, 2.17, 1.99, 1.72, 2.01 and 3.20, respectively. Repeatability of the column was studied, with the relative standard deviations for run-to-run, day-to-day and column-to-column lower than 5.7%.

Polydopamine-coated Au nanorods for targeted fluorescent cell imaging and photothermal therapy

Au nanorods (AuNRs) have attracted a great interest as a platform for constructing various composite core/shell nanoparticles for theranostics applications. However, the development of robust methods for coating AuNRs with a biocompatible shell of high loading capacity and with functional groups still remains challenging. Here, we coated AuNRs with a polydopamine (PDA) shell and functionalized AuNR-PDA particles with folic acid and rhodamine 123 (R123) to fabricate AuNR-PDA-R123-folate nanocomposites. To the best of our knowledge, such AuNR-PDA-based composites combining fluorescent imaging and plasmonic phothothermal abilities have not been reported previously. The multifunctional nanoparticles were stable in cell buffer, nontoxic and suitable for targeted fluorescent imaging and photothermal therapy of cancer cells. We demonstrate the enhanced accumulation of folate-functionalized nanoparticles in folate-positive HeLa cells in contrast to the folate-negative HEK 293 cells using fluorescent microscopy. The replacement of folic acid with polyethylene glycol (PEG) leads to a decrease in nanoparticle uptake by both folate-positive and folate-negative cells. We performed NIR light-mediated targeted phototherapy using AuNR-PDA-R123-folate and obtained a remarkable cancer cell killing efficiency in vitro in comparison with only weak-efficient nontargeted PEGylated nanoparticles. Our work illustrates that AuNR-PDA could be a promising nanoplatform for multifunctional tumor theranostics in the future.

A bioinspired polydopamine approach toward the preparation of gold-modified magnetic nanoparticles for the magnetic solid-phase extraction of steroids in multiple samples

In this work, a simple, facile, and sensitive magnetic solid-phase extraction method was developed for the extraction and enrichment of three representative steroid hormones before high-performance liquid chromatography analysis. Gold-modified Fe₃ O₄ nanoparticles, as novel magnetic adsorbents, were prepared by a rapid and environmentally friendly procedure in which polydopamine served as the reductant as well as the stabilizer for the gold nanoparticles, thus successfully avoiding the use of some toxic reagents. To obtain maximum extraction efficiency, several significant factors affecting the preconcentration steps, including the amount of adsorbent, extraction time, pH of the sample solution, and the desorption conditions, were optimized, and the enrichment factors for three steroids were all higher than 90. The validity of the established method was evaluated and good analytical characteristics were obtained. A wide linearity range (0.8-500 μg/L for all the analytes) was attained with good correlation (R²  ≥ 0.991). The low limits of detection were 0.20-0.25 μg/L, and the relative standard deviations ranged from 0.83 to 4.63%, demonstrating a good precision. The proposed method was also successfully applied to the extraction and analysis of steroids in urine, milk, and water samples with satisfactory results, which showed its reliability and feasibility in real sample analysis.

Multifunctional Surface Modification of Nanodiamonds Based on Dopamine Polymerization

Surface functionalization of nanodiamonds (NDs), which is of great interest in advanced material and therapeutic applications, requires the immobilization of functional species, such as nucleic acids, bioprobes, drugs, and metal nanoparticles, onto NDs' surfaces to form stable nanoconjugates. However, it is still challenging to modify the surface of NDs due to the complexity of their surface chemistry and the low density of each functional group on the surfaces of NDs. In this work, we demonstrate a general applicable surface functionalization approach for the preparation of ND-based core-shell nanoconjugates using dopamine polymerization. By taking advantage of the universal adhesion and versatile reactivity of polydopamine, we have effectively conjugated DNA and silver nanoparticles onto NDs. Moreover, the catalytic activity of ND-supported silver nanoparticle was characterized by the reduction of 4-nitrophenol, and the addressability of NDs was tested through DNA hybridization that formed satellite ND-gold nanorod conjugation. This simple and robust method we have presented may significantly improve the capability for attaching various functionalities onto NDs and open up new platforms for applications of NDs.

Adhesive and Stimulus-Responsive Polydopamine-Coated Graphene Oxide System for Pesticide-Loss Control

Pesticide carrier systems are highly desirable in achieving the effective utilization of pesticides and reduction of their loss. In order to increase utilization and enhance pesticide adhesion to harmful targets, adhesive and stimulus-responsive nanocomposites were prepared using graphene oxide (GO) and polydopamine (PDA). The results demonstrated that graphene oxide with a layer of PDA had a high hymexazol-loading capacity. The release curve of hymexazol from the nanocomposite showed that the release was NIR-laser-dependent and pH-dependent. The adhesion-performance investigation demonstrated that Hy-GO@PDA exhibited greater hymexazol persistence than a hymexazol solution after a simulated-rainwash experiment, and it also left more hymexazol residue than a hymexazol solution with a surfactant under high concentrations. Finally, the bioactivity of the prepared hymexazol-loaded nanocomposite was measured against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumebrium Owen, and it showed an inhibition activity similar to that of the hymexazol solution. All of these revealed that GO with a PDA layer could serve as pesticide carrier to solve low-utilization and wash-off problems, especially for water-soluble pesticides.

Facile encapsulation of hydroxycamptothecin nanocrystals into zein-based nanocomplexes for active targeting in drug delivery and cell imaging

Nano-drug delivery systems that integrate inorganic and organic or even bioactive components into a single nanoscale platform are playing a hugely important role in cancer treatment. In this article, the fabrication of a versatile nanocarrier based on self-assembled structures of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)-zein is reported, which displays high drug-loading efficiency for needle-shaped hydroxycamptothecin (HCPT) nanocrystals. The surface modification with folate-conjugated polydopamine (PFA) renders them stable and also facilitates their selective cellular internalization and enhancement of endocytosis. The release of payloads from nanocomplexes (NCs) was shown to be limited at physiological pH (17.1±2.8%) but significantly elevated at endosomal/lysosomal pH (58.4±3.0%) and at enzymatic environment (81.4±4.2%). Compared to free HCPT and its non-targeting equivalent, HCPT@AuNPs-Zein-PFA exerted a superior tumor suppression capacity as well as low side effects due to its active and passive targeting delivery both in vitro and in vivo. These results suggest that the NCs with well-defined core@shell nanostructures encapsulated with HCPT nanocrystals hold great promise to improve cancer therapy with high efficiency in the clinic.

STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE

A novel nanocomplex with HCPT nanocrystals encapsulated was designed to achieve selective cellular uptake by endocytosis, acid responsive release in the tumor microenvironment and excellent tumor suppression without toxicity. This nanocomplex with conjugation of folate was stable in the bloodstream, with minimal drug release in extracellular conditions, leading to prolonged blood circulation and high accumulation in tumor tissues. The entrapment of a nanocrystal drug into nanomaterials might be capable of delivering drugs in a predictable and controllable manner.

Catalytic hydrogenation performance of an in situ assembled Au@g-C3N4–PANI nanoblend: synergistic inter-constituent interactions boost the catalysis

Surface-Engineered Polydopamine Particles as an Efficient Support for Catalytic Applications

Mussel-inspired polydopamine (PDA) particles with the size of ∼270 nm are used as a support of palladium (Pd) nanoparticles (NPs) for catalyst preparation. The surface morphology of the PDA particle has been modified via corrosion of CF₃COOH. Surface chemistry of the obtained PDA particle has been engineered by the formation of a carboxylic acid-terminated alkanethiol monolayer. The obtained self-assembled monolayer-modified PDA (SAM-PDA) particles are used to load Pd NPs by simply adding H₂PdCl₄ solution to a suspension of SAM-PDA particles at room temperature. Transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray mapping, dynamic light scattering, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, UV-vis, and Fourier transform infrared are used to characterize the catalyst and to investigate the process. Uniform Pd NPs (2-3 nm) have been well-dispersed on the SAM-PDA particles via controllable surface engineering. Surface charges and interactions with a metal ion are regulated by the monolayer of carboxylic acids. The surface chemistry of PDA particles has been finely engineered for efficient loading of noble metal NPs. The obtained Pd/SAM-PDA catalyst has shown greatly increased activity and good reusability compared with Pd/PDA in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) by sodium borohydride or H₂. The kinetic data of 4-NP hydrogenation catalyzed by Pd/SAM-PDA are fitted to a Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) model, and the calculated apparent activation energy of this process is 40.77 kJ mol^-1.

Preparation of a Fe3O4-Au-GO nanocomposite for simultaneous treatment of oil/water separation and dye decomposition

A nanocomposite capable of simultaneously controlling multiple water pollutants (soluble organic dye and insoluble chemical solvent) has been obtained. The Au and Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles (NPs) were modified on a graphene oxide (GO) surface via light reduction and covalent attachment. The obtained Fe₃O₄-Au-GO nanocomposite has magnetic driving ability and catalytic applications. The nanocomposite can form emulsions after wrapping an insoluble and volatile organic solvent inside; moreover, the multi-layer graphene shell structure may delay volatilization of the solvent, ensuring that the oil droplets are collected efficiently and completely by the Fe₃O₄-Au-GO nanocomposite. At the same time, the Au NPs on the surface of the composite can effectively catalyze the decomposition of an organic dye in water and the recovery of the nanocomposite catalyst can also be realized using an external magnetic field. The simultaneous treatment of non-soluble oil (organic solvents) and organic dyes in water can be realized by the Fe₃O₄-Au-GO nanocomposite. Therefore, based on surface modification of GO, one material with two types of water pollution treatment functions was realized. This provides a new way for the simultaneous treatment of oil separation and dye decomposition, and the assembled structure may result in emulsions to give new applications in fuel cells and other fields.

Ultrasensitive electrochemical immunoassay for surface array protein, a Bacillus anthracis biomarker using Au-Pd nanocrystals loaded on boron-nitride nanosheets as catalytic labels

Bacillus anthracis, the causative agent of anthrax, is a well known bioterrorism agent. The determination of surface array protein (Sap), a unique biomarker for B. anthracis can offer an opportunity for specific detection of B. anthracis in culture broth. In this study, we designed a new catalytic bionanolabel and fabricated a novel electrochemical immunosensor for ultrasensitive detection of B. anthracis Sap antigen. Bimetallic gold-palladium nanoparticles were in-situ grown on poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride) functionalized boron nitride nanosheets (Au-Pd NPs@BNNSs) and conjugated with the mouse anti-B. anthracis Sap antibodies (Ab2); named Au-Pd NPs@BNNSs/Ab2. The resulting Au-Pd NPs@BNNSs/Ab2 bionanolabel demonstrated high catalytic activity towards reduction of 4-nitrophenol. The sensitivity of the electrochemical immunosensor along with redox cycling of 4-aminophenol to 4-quinoneimine was improved to a great extent. Under optimal conditions, the proposed immunosensor exhibited a wide working range from 5 pg/mL to 100 ng/mL with a minimum detection limit of 1 pg/mL B. anthracis Sap antigen. The practical applicability of the immunosensor was demonstrated by specific detection of Sap secreted by the B. anthracis in culture broth just after 1h of growth. These labels open a new direction for the ultrasensitive detection of different biological warfare agents and their markers in different matrices.

Tannic acid functionalized graphene hydrogel for entrapping gold nanoparticles with high catalytic performance toward dye reduction

In this work, a simple, cost-effective, and environmental-friendly strategy was developed to synthesize gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) decorated graphene hydrogel with the use of tannic acid. This facile route involved the reduction of graphene oxide (GO) in the presence of tannic acid to form tannic acid functionalized graphene hydrogel, followed by loading and in situ reduction of AuCl4(-) ions in the graphene hydrogel network benefiting from the abundant phenol groups of tannic acid. Tannic acid (TA), a typical plant polyphenol widely present in woods, not only reduced GO and induced the self-assembly of reduced graphene oxide into graphene hydrogel, but also served as the reducing agent and stabilizer for the synthesis and immobilization of Au NPs, avoiding extra chemical reagent and any stabilizer. The obtained Au NPs decorated graphene hydrogel (Au@TA-GH) was fully characterized and exhibited much higher catalytic activities than the unsupported and other polymer-supported Au NPs toward the reduction of methylene blue (MB). In addition, the high catalytic activity of Au@TA-GH could withhold in different pH solution conditions. Another distinct advantage of Au@TA-GH as catalysts is that it can be easily recovered and reused for five cycles.
