Abstract
Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in two subregions of the near-infrared (NIR) has been achieved. By leveraging the rigidity and diminishing detrimental vibrations of the heterobimetallic binolate complexes of erbium [(Binol)3ErNa3], species exhibiting an exceptionally high dissymmetry factor (|glum |) of 0.47 at 1550 nm were obtained. These erbium complexes are the first reported examples of CPL observed beyond 1200 nm. Analogous complexes of ytterbium and neodymium also exhibited strong CPL (|glum| = 0.17, 0.05, respectively) in a higher energy NIR window (800-1200 nm). All complexes exhibit high quantum yields (Er: 0.58%, Yb: 17%, Nd: 9.3%) and high BCPL values (Er: 57 M-1 cm-1, Yb: 379 M-1 cm-1, Nd: 29 M-1 cm-1). Because of their strong CPL emission in the telecom band (1550 nm), biologically relevant NIR emission window (800-1100 nm), and synthetic versatility, the complexes reported here could permit further promising developments in quantum communication technologies and biologically relevant sensors.

Abstract
A unprecedented hetero-bimetallic 3d-4f BDC-salamo-based coordination polymer, [(L)Ni(BDC)Gd(NO3)(DMF)] was prepared and validated via elemental analyses, IR and UV–Visible absorption spectra, DFT calculation, and X-ray crystallography. The six-coordinated Ni1 ion lies at the N2O2 donor site of the L2− moiety, and one DMF O atom and carboxylate O atom occupy, collectively, the axial positions, and form a twisted octahedron. The nine-coordinated Gd1 ion consists of three oxygen atoms (O12, O13, and O14) of two carboxylate groups, two oxygen atoms (O8 and O9) derived from one bidentate nitrate group, and an O2O2 coordination site (O1, O2, O6, and O5) of the L2− unit, forming a twisted three-capped triangular prism coordination geometry. Compared to the ligand (H2L), the fluorescence intensity decreases due to the coordination of metal ions. Meanwhile, the antibacterial activities are researched.

Abstract
We report the synthesis of monometallic lanthanide complexes supported by one salicylhydrazone ligand. Complexes of neodymium, erbium, and ytterbium have been synthesized, and exhibit near infrared luminescence with modest to high quantum yields. The luminescence of ytterbium is increased by a factor of five when comparing our complex to other salicylhydrazone-supported complexes.

Abstract
Both the chiral hexaazamacrocyle L1 based on trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane and the achiral hexaazamacrocyle L2 based on ethylenediamine form lanthanide(iii) dinuclear μ-hydroxo bridged complexes which have been characterized by NMR and CD spectroscopy. The homodinuclear complexes of the type [Ln2(L1)2(μ-OH)2](NO3)4 (Ln = NdIII, EuIII, TbIII and YbIII) have been synthesized in the enantiopure form and the X-ray crystal structures of NdIII, EuIII and YbIII derivatives have been determined. The heterodinuclear cationic complexes [Ln(L1)Ln'(L2)(μ-OH)2X2]n+ have been generated and characterized in solution by using the mononuclear complexes of L1 and L2 as substrates. While the formation of [LnLn'(L1)2(μ-OH)2X2]n+ dinuclear complexes is accompanied by chiral narcissistic self-sorting, the formation of [Ln(L1)Ln'(L2)(μ-OH)2X2]n+ dinuclear complexes is accompanied by the sizable sociable self-sorting of macrocyclic units. The homodinuclear complexes [Y2(L1)2(μ-OH)2X2]n+ and [Ln2(L2)2(μ-OH)2X2]n+ (Ln = DyIII, PrIII and NdIII) are CD silent in the visible region due to the lack of f-f transitions and the presence of an achiral ligand, respectively. In contrast, the heterodinuclear [Y(L1S)Ln(L2)(μ-OH)2X2]n+ complexes give rise to CD signals arising from the f-f transitions because of the chirality transfer from the L1 macrocyclic unit to the L2 macrocyclic unit.

Abstract
In the penta-nuclear title complex, [SmZn2(C22H18N2O4)2(NCS)2(C3H7NO)2][Zn2(C22H18N2O4)(NCS)3]·C3H7NO·0.32H2O, namely bis-{μ2-6,6'-dimeth-oxy-2,2'-[phenyl-ene-1,2-diylbis(nitrilo-methanylyl-idene)]diphenolato}-1κ4 O,N,N',O':2κ3 O,O',O 6;2κ3 O,O',O 6:3κ4 O,N,N',O'-bis-(di-methyl-formamide-2κO)di-thiocyanato-1κN,3κN-2-samarium(III)-1,3-dizinc(II) {μ2-6,6'-dimeth-oxy-2,2'-[phenyl-ene-1,2-diylbis(nitrilo-methanylyl-idene)]diphenolato-1κ4 O,N,N',O':2κ2 O,O'}trithio-cyan-ato-1κN;2κ2 N,N-dizinc(II) di-methyl-formamide monosolvate 1.32-hydrate, a dinuclear unit and a trinuclear unit co-exist. One of the ZnII centers in the dinuclear unit as well as the two ZnII centers in the trinuclear unit are located in the inner N2O2 cavity of the ligand and are coordinated to the nitro-gen atom of one thio-cyanate moiety, giving rise to a square-pyramidal geometry. The second ZnII center in the dinuclear unit is coordinated to the two phenolate oxygen atoms of the ligand and to two thio-cyanate groups via the nitro-gen atom in a tetra-hedral geometry. The SmIII ion is eight-coordinated by four phenolate O atoms from the two ligand mol-ecules, two meth-oxy O atoms from the two ligand mol-ecules and two O atoms from the DFM solvent mol-ecule. In the dinuclear unit, the two meth-oxy oxygen atoms remain uncoordinated while in the trinuclear unit, for each ligand one meth-oxy oxygen is coordinated and the other one remains uncoordinated. In the crystal, the trinuclear cationic units and dinuclear anionic units are assembled into infinite layers. These layers are held together via electrostatic inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional structure. In the dinuclear unit, the C and S atoms of one of the thio-cyanate groups are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.680 (4)(4):0.320 (4) ratio.
