Abstract
Developing new high-performance electrode materials for improving the energy density of supercapacitors is an important task. Herein, a new three-dimensional (3D) metal-orgainc framework (MOF) [Mn(BGPD)(H2O)2] (Mn-BGPD; BGPD = N,N'-bis(glycinyl)pyromellitic diimide) was synthesized. When Mn-BGPD is used as the electrode material of supercapacitors, in a three-electrode setup, it shows an outstanding specific capacitance of 832.6 F g-1 at a current density of 1 A g-1. The asymmetrical supercapacitor of Mn-BGPD shows an attractive specific capacitance of 100 F g-1 at 1 A g-1, which corresponds to an excellent energy density of 35.5 W h kg-1. Moreover, better cycling stability with a capacitance retention of 46.7% is also shown. The high electrochemical performance makes Mn-BGPD a very promising electrode material for supercapacitors.

Abstract
The molecular structure of bis(pyrazol-1-yl)methane-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid (H2bpmdc) was determined by single crystal X-Ray diffraction analysis. The compound crystallizes in a monoclinic crystal system; the unit cell contains four formula units. The molecules of H2bpmdc are linked into zig-zag chains by intermolecular carboxyl–carboxyl hydrogen bonds. Other types of supramolecular interactions, namely, CH···N and CH···O short contacts, CH–π interactions and carbonyl–carbonyl interactions were detected in the crystal structure.

Abstract
Carboxylation of bis(pyrazol-1-yl)alkanes by oxalyl chloride was studied. It was found that 4,4'-dicarboxylic derivatives of substrates with electron-donating methyl groups and short linkers (from one to three methylene groups) can be prepared using this method. Longer linkers lead to significantly lower product yields, which is probably due to instability of the intermediate acid chlorides that are initially formed in the reaction with oxalyl chloride. Thus, bis(pyrazol-1-yl)methane gave only monocarboxylic derivative even with a large excess of oxalyl chloride and prolonged reaction duration. An alternative approach involves the reaction of ethyl 4-pyrazolecarboxylates with dibromoalkanes in a superbasic medium (potassium hydroxide-dimethyl sulfoxide) and is suitable for the preparation of bis(4-carboxypyrazol-1-yl)alkanes with both short and long linkers independent of substitution in positions 3 and 5 of pyrazole rings. The obtained dicarboxylic acids are interesting as potential building blocks for metal-organic frameworks.

Abstract
D-A hybrid heterostructures are an attractive class of hybrid complexes composed of semiconducting organic and inorganic components, which make them potential candidates for applications in the photoelectric fields, particularly as photochromic materials. Herein, we report that the combination of metal cations (M = Zn2+ or Cd2+), silicomolybdic anions, and N,N-di(4-pyridyl)-1,4,5,8-naphthalene diimide (DPNDI) via two diffusion methods (A and B) led to four three-component D-A hybrid heterostructures with silicomolybdic anions as electron donors, and one-dimensional (1-D) naphthalenediimide coordination networks of different metal cations, [Zn2(DPNDI)2(H2O)4]·(SiMo12O40) (1-A and 1-B) and [Cd2(DPNDI)2(H2O)4]·(SiMo12O40) (2-A and 2-B), as electron acceptors. Although the different diffusion methods, 1-B, 2-A and 2-B, are isostructures with close cell parameters. Due to the different ionic radii and electronegativity of metal cations in isostructural 1-B and 2-B, they exhibit different electron-transfer photochromic behaviors. This study paves a new path for designing novel photochromic materials through such third-component metal cations.

Abstract
A series of disubstituted 1H-pyrazoles with methyl (1), amino (2), and nitro (3) groups, as well as ester (a) or amide (b) groups in positions 3 and 5 was synthesized, and annular tautomerism was investigated using X-ray, theoretical calculations, NMR, and FT-IR methods. The X-ray experiment in the crystal state showed for the compounds with methyl (1a, 1b) and amino (2b) groups the tautomer with ester or amide groups at position 3 (tautomer 3), but for those with a nitro group (3b, 4), tautomer 5. Similar results were obtained in solution by NMR NOE experiments in CDCl3, DMSO-d6, and CD3OD solvents. However, tautomer equilibrium was observed for 2b in DMSO. The FT-IR spectra in chloroform and acetonitrile showed equilibria, which can be ascribed to conformational changes of the cis/trans arrangement of the ester/amide group and pyrazole ring. Theoretical analysis using the M06-2X/6-311++G(d,p) method (in vacuo, chloroform, acetonitrile, and water) and measurement of aromaticity (NICS) showed dependence on internal hydrogen bonds, the influence of the environment, and the effect of the substituent. These factors, pyrazole aromaticity and intra- and inter-molecular interactions, seem to have a considerable influence on the choice of tautomer.
