Abstract
In this work, CuO/Fe2O3 nanozymes with high peroxidase-like activity were synthesized by using hydrothermal and calcination methods. The high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) proved that the heterogeneous interface of CuO/Fe2O3 was the main reason for the high enzyme-like activity. Strong interactions of CuO and Fe2O3 were successfully verified by X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) characterization. Experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations were also used to explain the increased enzyme activity. The heterogeneous interface acted as the main active center, facilitating the electron transfer from CuO to Fe2O3. A colorimetric and intelligent sensing system was constructed based on deep learning. Using the peroxidase-like activity of CuO/Fe2O3, a platform for glufosinate pesticides and chlortetracycline hydrochloride (CTC) with the signal "on-off-on" changes were established. The limit of detection (LOD) of glufosinate and CTC was 28 and 0.69 μM, respectively. It was successfully applied in the detection of environmental water and soil. This study can provide an intelligent detection method for environmental monitoring.

Abstract
In this paper, a dual-functional probe, 2-(benzothiazol)-4-(3-hydroxy-4-methylphenyl) imino phenol (BHMH), was synthesized and characterized for the simultaneous detection of Cu2+ and Fe3+ in dimethyl sulfoxide/4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (DMSO/HEPES) (1:4, v/v, pH = 6.0). The limits of detections (LODs) for Cu2+ and Fe3+ were 9.05 and 48 nM, respectively. Based on the competitive coordination, the complex BHMH-Cu2+/Fe3+ exhibited good sensitivity and selectivity for glyphosate. The LODs of BHMH-Cu2+ and BHMH-Fe3+ for glyphosate were 0.41 and 0.63 μM, respectively. The probe quantitatively detected glyphosate in tap water, Songhua River water, local water and soil, and food samples. The colorimetric on-site glyphosate sensing through the probe BHMH-Cu2+ was also studied based on smartphones. BHMH and BHMH-Cu2+/Fe3+ exhibited outstanding imaging capabilities for Cu2+, Fe3+, and glyphosate in living cells with low cytotoxicity, especially the first time for glyphosate.

Abstract
Ternary quantum dots (QDs) are novel nanomaterials that can be used in chemical analysis due their unique physicochemical and spectroscopic properties. These properties are size-dependent and can be adjusted in the synthetic protocol modifying the reaction medium, time, source of heat, and the ligand used for stabilization. In the last decade, several spectroscopic methods have been developed for the analysis of organic and inorganic analytes in biological, drug, environmental, and food samples, in which different sensing schemes have been applied using ternary quantum dots. This review addresses the different synthetic approaches of ternary quantum dots, the sensing mechanisms involved in the analyte detection, and the predominant areas in which these nanomaterials are used.

Abstract
Lanthanide coordination polymers have been recently regarded as attractive sensing materials because of their selectivity, high sensitivity, and rapid response ability. In this research, the multiporous terbium phosphonate coordination polymer microspheres (TbP-CPs) were prepared as a novel fluorescent probe, which showed a fluorescence turn-on response capability for the detection of the trace anthrax biomarker dipicolinate acid (DPA). The morphology and chemical composition of as-prepared TbP-CPs were characterized in detail. The TbP-CPs have the vegetable-flower-like structure and microporous surface. In addition, the as-prepared TbP-CPs not only possess the merits of convenience and simple preparation with high yield but also have the excellent characters as fluorescent probes, such as high stability, good selectivity, and rapid detection ability within 30 s. This proposed sensor could detect DPA with a linear relationship in concentrations ranging from 0 to 8.0 μM and a high detection sensitivity of 5.0 nM. Furthermore, the successful applications of DPA detection in urine and bovine serum were demonstrated. As a result, the recovery ranged from 93.93-101.6%, and the relative standard deviations (RSD) were less than 5%.
