Abstract
Parkinson's disease is the highest prevalent neurodegenerative disease in elderly individuals after Alzheimer's disease. The pathological identification for Parkinson's disease is loss of dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra region of the brain that in turn leads to dopamine deficiency that affects the body's normal physiological and neurological disorder. The important drawback in the modality of treatment is levodopa is only supplying depleted dopamine in the brain, it does not affect neurodegeneration. Even though levodopa manages the disease, an alternative treatment strategy is required to stop or prevent further degeneration of neuron. The compound with neuroprotector activity suits the requirement. Of them, stearic acid plays a vital role in protecting neurons against oxidative stress through a Phosphoinositide 3-kinase-dependent mechanism. Hence, our present study aimed to design, synthesize, and characterize the levodopa stearic acid hydrazide conjugate. Additionally, evaluate the cytotoxicity of synthesized compound in SHSY5Y: cell lines. In brief, levodopa was conjugated to the stearic acid successfully and was confirmed with Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, Nuclear magnetic resonance, and Mass Spectroscopy. In vitro cell viability study in SHSY5Y: cell lines showed elevated cell viability in 0.134 µm concentration of Conjugate, and 0.563 µm concentration of levodopa. Showing that the synthesized compound could offer an improved treatment strategy for Parkinson's disease.

Abstract
As the world's population ages, the incidence of Parkinson's disease (PD), the second most common neurological ailment, keeps increasing. It is estimated that 1% of the global population over the age of 60 has the disease. The continuous loss of dopaminergic neurons and the concomitant brain depletion of dopamine levels represent the hallmarks of PD. As a result, current PD therapies primarily target dopamine or its precursor (levodopa). Therapeutic approaches that aim to provide an exogenous source of levodopa or dopamine are hindered by their poor bioavailability and the blood-brain barrier. Nevertheless, the fabrication of many polymeric nanoparticles has been exploited to deliver several drugs inside the brain. In addition to a brief introduction of PD and its current therapeutic approaches, this review covers novel polymeric nanoparticulate drug delivery systems exploited lately for dopamine and levodopa replacement in PD.

Abstract
Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are overlapping, related, but distinct entities. Each occurs as a result of a complex combination of precipitants, genetic predispositions, and variable expression of a self-sustaining proinflammatory state. My case history and clinical course are outlined below. In addition, the epidemiology, pathogenesis, and the expanding armamentarium of treatment options, including their strengths and weaknesses, are discussed in detail.

Abstract
A 12 year old boy with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) presenting with bilateral pitting pedal edema and abdominal distension after about 41 months of imatinib therapy and was diagnosed to have retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) based on imaging and biopsy findings. He was found to have bilateral hydroureteronephrosis needing double-J stenting to the more severely affected right ureter. Imatinib was briefly interrupted and restarted later due to rising transcript levels and unavailability of other alternatives at that time which was later substituted by dasatinib once generic versions became available. Child remains asymptomatic after 18 months of DJ stenting. RPF is a rare complication of imatinib this being the second case reported in the literature.

Abstract
Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) is an uncommon disease characterised by the presence of fibroinflammatory reaction which starts around the infrarenal portion of the abdominal aorta in the retroperitoneum and frequently entrap the ureter causing obstructive uropathy. Approximately, two thirds of the cases are idiopathic, where aetiopathogenesis is not known. Ergotamine-induced RPF, although rare, is considered under secondary group. The fibrogenic process here is thought to be due to serotonergic activity. We report a case of RPF in a young female with obstructive uropathy who had history of long-term ergotamine intake for migraine. Histopathological evaluation revealed different evolving stages of necrotising vasculitis. In addition, the patient has responded to withdrawal of offending drug along with immunosuppressive therapy. We believe, apart from serotonergic activity, ergotamine can lead to RPF through a vasculitic process which has not been reported earlier.

Abstract
The prolactin/vasoinhibin axis defines an endocrine system, in which prolactin (PRL) and vasoinhibins regulate blood vessel growth and function, the secretion of other hormones, inflammatory and immune processes, coagulation, and behavior. The core element of the PRL/vasoinhibin axis is the generation of vasoinhibins, which consists in the proteolytic cleavage of their precursor molecule PRL. Vasoinhibins can interact with multiple different partners to mediate their effects in various tissues and anatomical compartments, indicating their pleiotropic nature. Based on accumulating knowledge about the PRL/vasoinhibin axis, two clinical trials were initiated, in which vasoinhibin levels are the target of therapeutic interventions. One trial investigates the effect of levosulpiride, a selective dopamine D2-receptor antagonist, on retinal alterations in patients with diabetic macular edema and retinopathy. The rationale of this trial is that the levosulpiride-induced hyperprolactinemia resulting in increased retinal vasoinhibins could lead to beneficiary outcomes in terms of a vasoinhibin-mediated antagonization of diabetes-induced retinal alterations. Another trial investigated the effect of bromocriptine, a dopamine D2-receptor agonist, for the treatment of peripartum cardiomyopathy. The rationale of treatment with bromocriptine is the inhibition of vasoinhibin generation by substrate depletion to prevent detrimental effects on the myocardial microvascularization. The trial demonstrated that bromocriptine treatment was associated with a high rate of left ventricular recovery and low morbidity and mortality. Therapeutic interventions into the PRL/vasoinhibin axis bear the risk of side effects in the areas of blood coagulation, blood pressure, and alterations of the mental state.

Abstract
Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) is a rare disease, hallmarked by inflammation and deposition of fibrous tissue around the abdominal aorta. This process may spread contiguously and involve adjacent structures, leading to many complications, among which the most frequent and most severe is ureteral obstruction. The condition usually has idiopathic origin (idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis – IRF), but can also develop secondarily to a number of factors. The etiology of the disease remains unclear. Current research suggests that about half of the cases of IRF may be a symptom of a recently discovered, clinically heterogeneous immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD). Corticosteroids are the first-line treatment for IRF, but effective attempts to use immunosuppressants are also made. This paper presents the current state of knowledge on the etiopathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis and therapeutic possibilities in different forms of RPF. Based on the latest research, an analysis of the relationship between IRF and IgG4-RD was performed.

Abstract
Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) is a rare condition with an unclear etiology, presenting with the development of aberrant chronic nonspecific fibroinflammatory tissue in the retroperitoneal space, which can result in entrapment and obstruction of the retroperitoneal structures. RPF is a subtype of chronic periaortitis, and can be divided into two types: primary (or idiopathic) and secondary. RPF is usually idiopathic, but can also be secondary to malignancies, certain drugs, infections, surgery, and trauma. The systemic clinical manifestations are nonspecific and include low-grade fever, fatigue, anorexia, weight loss, and myalgia. We report five patients admitted to our hospital with clinical, laboratory, imaging, and pathologic findings compatible with RPF, and we describe their treatment and follow-up. We were suspicious that the impurities of some types of opium have an important role in the pathogenesis of RPF. Some of our patients used opium again after the follow-up period; however, they used a different type with a different origin, and we were surprised to see that RPF did not form again.
