Abstract
AIM The purpose of this paper was to shed light on the main barriers to caring pedagogical relationships within simulation centers from the perspective of nursing students and offer targeted strategies to reduce these barriers. BACKGROUND A caring pedagogical relationship is a powerful strategy to foster students' learning within simulation settings. However, the development of this relationship could be hindered if nurse educators are not aware of its barriers. Hence, this could affect students' learning and well-being within this academic context. According to our knowledge, no previous research has addressed the question of the barriers to caring pedagogical relationships within the context of simulation. DESIGN This study employed a descriptive phenomenological method, entitled Relational Caring Inquiry, to collect and analyze data gathered from 19 students enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program. RESULTS This paper focuses on one eidos-theme that emerged from our data analysis and interpretation entitled "Educator's conscientization regarding barriers to the development of a caring pedagogical relationship". According to data analysis and interpretation, this eidos-theme was the most emphasized by research participants. It emerged from the following themes: (a) educators' dehumanizing practices, (b) disruptive and stressful academic context, (c) lack of educators' experiences and (d) educators' disinterest in students' learning. CONCLUSIONS Leaving caring pedagogical relationships' barriers unaddressed has shown adverse impacts on students' learning process and their mental and physical well-being. This paper brings to light the main barriers to caring pedagogical relationships and invites educators, managers and nurse leaders to be aware of these obstacles and collectively engage in humanizing nursing education. In other words, we emphasize the impact of these barriers on students' apprenticeship and suggest political actions to build caring and inclusive simulation environments. Abstract
PROBLEM OR BACKGROUND Bullying is a recognised problem in nursing. Nursing students are particularly vulnerable. Bullying and harassment of nursing students can be detrimental to both students and recipients of care. AIM This study aims to identify the incidence and nature of bullying and/or harassment experienced by nursing students in Sri Lanka. METHODS A cross-sectional survey consisting of eight demographic questions and 15 items specific to the experience of bullying and harassment was administered to nursing students online. FINDINGS A total of 656 students from 26 nursing education institutions in Sri Lanka participated. The majority were female with a mean age of 24.4 years. More than a quarter of respondents reported that they had experienced bullying and/or harassment while on clinical placement, with a further 16.7 % being unsure. Most bullying or harassment (55 %) occurred in hospitals with 29 % experienced in community settings. Registered nurses, including nurse managers and clinical facilitators were the most common perpetrators. Verbal abuse was the most frequent type of behaviour reported. DISCUSSION These findings support existing literature that indicates that bullying of nursing students is an international phenomenon. The context of this study provides clues as to how culture may influence the problem. There is a need to better understand bullying and harassment in the environments in which it occurs, in order to identify strategies that can bridge cultures and settings. CONCLUSION The incidence of bullying and harassment of nursing students in Sri Lanka is concerning. Further research is needed to identify and evaluate targeted strategies to help prevent negative outcomes in all nursing contexts.

Abstract
With the introduction of more complex health conditions and the changing landscape of the healthcare infrastructure, burnout is increasingly becoming a crisis for the nursing profession and for the public. Recruitment in nursing must consider the concept of a nurturing environment as a key driver of sustainability within the profession. Human beings cannot flourish in hostile and unwelcoming environments. Failure to thrive in nursing is a real phenomenon that is driven by multiple factors, including incivility, workplace bullying, and lack of support. Mitigation requires intentional, strategic interventions toward building nurturing environments in education and practice for the next generation of nurses.

Abstract
Phenomenon: Disrespectful behavior between physicians across departments can contribute to burnout, poor learning environments, and adverse patient outcomes. Approach: In this focus group study, we aimed to describe the nature and context of perceived disrespectful communication between emergency and internal medicine physicians (residents and faculty) at patient handoff. We used a constructivist approach and framework method of content analysis to conduct and analyze focus group data from 24 residents and 11 faculty members from May to December 2019 at a large academic medical center. Findings: We organized focus group results into four overarching categories related to disrespectful communication: characteristics and context (including specific phrasing that members from each department interpreted as disrespectful, effects of listener engagement/disengagement, and the tendency for communication that is not in-person to result in misunderstanding and conflict); differences across training levels (with disrespectful communication more likely when participants were at different training levels); the individual correspondent's tendency toward perceived rudeness; and negative/long-term impacts of disrespectful communication on the individual and environment (including avoidance and effects on patient care). Insights: In the context of predominantly positive descriptions of interdepartmental communication, participants described episodes of perceived disrespectful behavior that often had long-lasting, negative impacts on the quality of the learning environment and clinical work. We created a conceptual model illustrating the process and outcomes of these interactions. We make several recommendations to reduce disrespectful communication that can be applied throughout the hospital to potentially improve patient care, interdepartmental collaboration, and trainee and faculty quality of life.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Incivility in nursing education is present worldwide and impacts all those involved and the teacher-student relationship. The revised Incivility in Nursing Education (INE-R) is a validated and reliable instrument to measure academic incivility, but it is not available in Italian language. The aim of the study was to translate and validate the INE-R tool with an Italian sample. METHODS The INE-R was translated from English into Italian, culturally adapted and piloted for content and linguistic clarity. The questionnaire was administered online to Nursing Faculty (NF) and Nursing Students (NS) of Sapienza University of Rome to assess uncivil behaviors and their frequency of occurrence. The psychometric properties of the Italian version were investigated. RESULTS 79 Italians participated, of which 63.3 % were NS. Four-factor models provided the best fit for NF and NS scales. The models explained 78.2 % (NF) and 73.2 % (NS) of the variance of the scales. The Root Mean Square Error of Approximation for both models was 0.07, indicating an acceptable fit. INE-R reliability for all 48 NF and NS incivility items was 0.962 and 0.954, respectively. Measuring the degree of incivility and establishing codes of conduct were recommended. CONCLUSIONS Incivility in nursing education negatively impacts the teaching-learning environment and could cause emotional or physical distress for those involved. Zero-tolerance policy regarding incivility, routine evaluation, and raising awareness among students and faculty could improve the quality of academic settings. The Italian INE-R is a valid and reliable tool that can be used to evaluate incivility in Italian nursing programs.

Abstract
AIMS To systematically identify, appraise and synthesise qualitative studies investigating Registered Nurse students' (RNS) experiences of workplace violence (WPV) while on clinical placement. It is expected that the literature review findings will guide the development of targeted programs and policies to address WPV against RNS. BACKGROUND WPV affects RNS during clinical placements as they are vulnerable to violence due to their limited experience and skills to challenge abusive behaviour. In this review, RNS are students enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program to become registered nurses and exclude students who are enrolled in nursing program that does not lead to registration as a registered nurse. For example, enrolled in nursing programs and postgraduate nursing programs. RNS are chosen for their scope of practice and the training requirements. RNS reported experiencing WPV mainly from colleagues, staff, teachers, doctors and supervisors, which resulted in leaving nursing practice, impacting students' progression and healthcare systems. This review examines all types of violence RNS face irrespective of the abuser. METHODS A qualitative systematic review of existing literature was conducted through a comprehensive database search of eight databases MEDLINE, CINAHL, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, Cochrane Central and ProQuest. Furthermore, reference lists of included studies were searched to identify further research. English language qualitative primary studies of any study design were searched from inception to 6th June 2022 and included if they met the inclusion criteria. Double review process utilised from screening until data synthesis reported according to PRISMA. JBI critical appraisal tools were used to assess the studies, and data extraction utilised JBI QARI tool and screened for credibility and confidence in findings. RESULTS A total of 18 studies met the inclusion criteria, and the studies were conducted in nine countries. Five main themes relating to RNS experiences of WPV while on clinical placement were identified, including: 'Types of workplace violence', 'Perpetrators', 'Causes', 'Consequences' and 'Management of workplace violence'. CONCLUSIONS This qualitative systematic review provides new and significant knowledge in understanding the phenomenon of WPV experienced by RNS while on clinical placement. RELATIVE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE This review highlights the unwillingness of RNS to reach out to instructors or clinical placement leaders in many situations and identifies avenues of support and awareness that are crucial to empower and enabling students to seek support.

Abstract
AIMS To assess the reported prevalence of unprofessional behaviours, including incivility and bullying, experienced by nursing students during their clinical practice. To assess the prevalence of students' abilities to speak up about unprofessional behaviours encountered and infection control concerns; their compliance with standard precautions and COVID-19 guidelines; and their perceived responsibility for infection prevention. Lastly, to describe the potential impact of unprofessional behaviour on compliance with these guidelines. BACKGROUND Unprofessional behaviours in healthcare settings are associated with a wide range of individual and organisational negative outcomes for nurses and nursing students, which may affect patient safety. The COVID-19 pandemic created new challenges for clinical education and for infection control. DESIGN A descriptive cross-sectional design. METHODS A multi-centre survey was carried out in six academic universities and colleges in Israel. The research study involved 369 undergraduate nursing students during 2022. Their clinical experiences were assessed using an online questionnaire. The STROBE guideline was used for accurate reporting. RESULTS 301 (81.6%) students reported experience of unprofessional behaviour while undertaking clinical practice. Students with reported skills to speak up about unprofessional behaviour were less likely to report having experienced these behaviours (p = 0.003). Students who did not experience unprofessional behaviours were more likely to report higher compliance with standard and COVID-19 precaution guidelines (OR 3.624, 95% CI 1.790-7.335, p < 0.001). These students also had a higher perception of personal responsibility toward patient safety (OR 1.757, 95% CI 1.215-2.541, p = 0.003). CONCLUSIONS Nursing students experiencing unprofessional behaviours in the clinical setting reported lower compliance with standard and COVID-19 precautions. In addition, cultivating personal responsibility towards patients' safety may have a positive impact on guidelines compliance. Nursing educators and leaders should develop strategies to enable students to better cope with unprofessional behaviours. Closer cooperation between all stakeholders may promote civility among nurses and nursing students in the clinical setting.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Breast self-examination is important in the early diagnosis of breast cancer. The use of traditional education methods is insufficient for student nurses to gain breast self-examination skills in nurse education. New and different education methods are needed to gain skills in nurse education. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of artificial intelligence-assisted screen-based simulations practice and standard patient simulation in teaching breast self-examination skills in nursing undergraduate students. DESIGN This study was a comparative intervention trial. SETTINGS This study was conducted at a university in XX, in XXX in the first semesters of the academic years 2022-2023. METHODS This study enlisted 103 students enrolled in first year in a nursing department. Students were randomized into artificial intelligence-assisted screen-based simulations practice group (n = 52) and standard patient simulation group (n = 51). Data were collected using student description form, breast self-examination checklist, student satisfaction and self-confidence in learning scale, Spielberger's state and trait anxiety inventory. RESULTS The highest score regarding the total score means of breast self-examination skills belonged to the standard patient simulation group, and the differences between the groups were found to be statistically significant (p < 0.05). Although the mean score of anxiety levels of the students' artificial intelligence-assisted screen-based simulations practice group was higher than the standard patient simulation (p < 0.05). The mean score of the students' satisfaction with the simulation was higher in artificial intelligence-assisted screen-based simulations practice group than the standard patient simulation group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The results of the research showed that the use of artificial intelligence-assisted simulation learning increased students' satisfaction, but at the same time students' anxiety increased. In addition, artificial intelligence-assisted simulation learning is not as effective as standard patient simulation learning in gaining breast self-examination skills.

Abstract
(1) Rationing of nursing care is withholding, limiting or not fulfilling the necessary nursing activities for patients. It may have a negative effect on patient safety and the quality of care. The aim of the present paper is the assessment of the effect of stress on the rationing of nursing care. (2) The current research has a cross-sectional, observational design. The study sample comprised 567 nurses. The following questionnaires were used in the study PIRNCA and PSS-10. (3) It was demonstrated that nurses with a high level of perceived stress rationed nursing care to a greater extent and showed lower assessment of nursing care and lower job satisfaction in comparison with nurses with average and low levels of perceived stress. (4) 1. Stress in nurses has a negative effect on rationing of nursing care and job satisfaction. It is recommended that actions aimed at developing effective stress coping skills be implemented as early as at the stage of training to become a nurse. 2. Factors such as marital status, sex, form of employment, place of employment and the level of professional burnout syndrome may have an influence on the level of experienced stress. In turn, the level of experienced stress, marital status, education, place of work as well as the place of residence may have an effect on rationing of nursing care and, consequently, affect the quality of care.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Clinical education is a significant part of nursing education, but students frequently perceive it as stressful. There is no valid and reliable scale to determine the clinical stressor perceptions of nursing students in Turkey. OBJECTIVE The study aims to adapt the "Nursing Students' Clinical Stressor Perceptions Scale" (NSPCSS) into Turkish and perform its validity and reliability study for nursing students. METHOD The research was conducted in a methodological design between 30 September 2021 and 1 November 2021. The sample consisted of 304 nursing students. RESULTS "The Cronbach's alpha" reliability coefficient of the NSPCSS is 0.912. The retest coefficient is 0.90 and the item correlation values are between 0.404 and 0.689. CONCLUSION The study has shown that the NSPCSS-TR is a valid and reliable assessment tool to evaluate clinical stressors in nursing students.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Our main purpose is to evaluate the prevalence of stress among nursing students systematically. METHODS Adhering to the preferred reporting items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses guidelines, we carefully searched ten databases, including PubMed, Cochrane, Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, EMBASE, CNKI, Wanfang, and China Biomedical Literature Service System, to collect cross-sectional studies on nursing students. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted the data, and evaluated the risk of bias in the included studies. RESULTS From 1397 studies, 27 cross-sectional studies were included, including 7116 subjects. Meta-analysis showed that the prevalence of low-level stress was 0.24% [95% CI (0.24% to 0.25%)], the prevalence of middle level stress was 0.35% [95% CI (0.35% to 0.35%)], and the prevalence of high-level stress was 0.10% [95% CI (0.10% to 0.10%)]. The results of subgroup analysis showed that stress levels are different in different genders, diagnostic criteria for stress, years of publication, and regions. CONCLUSIONS This review identified the stress levels of nursing interns, which were mainly moderate. This result makes nursing administrators and nursing educators pay more attention to the mental health problems of nursing interns, which can actively take measures to promote the physical and mental health of nursing students, improve the quality of nursing students' practice, and further promote the development of the nursing profession.

Abstract
AIM The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between workplace incivility and the turnover intention in nurses. BACKGROUND Studies assessing the association between nurses' turnover intention and workplace incivility are limited. METHODS The research was carried out on a total of 250 nurses working in three private hospitals in Antalya, Turkey. The data were collected using a Demographic Questionnaire, the Workplace Incivility Scale and the Turnover Intention Scale. RESULTS The mean workplace incivility scores of the nurses were determined to be 6.68±7.96. The mean turnover intention scores of the nurses were 6.38±3.44. A statistically significant positive relationship was found between workplace incivility scores and turnover intention scores (r = 0.632, p = 0.0001). The linear regression model showed that workplace incivility, working in the emergency or intensive care unit, and dissatisfaction with the current institution were independent factors of turnover intention. CONCLUSIONS The results of the study demonstrated a significant relationship between workplace incivility and turnover intention in nurses. Nurses who are less exposed to workplace incivility were seen to have a lower turnover intention. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING MANAGEMENT Simple measures that organizations may take to reduce workplace incivility may increase nurses' workplace satisfaction, reduce turnover intention, and enable them to work more efficiently. It would be useful for nursing managers to lead initiatives in institutions to reduce workplace incivility and improve the culture of civility.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Incivility within nursing is professionally unacceptable. Little research exists regarding student nurses' experiences with incivility from healthcare professionals and others within the clinical environment and particularly within a Canadian context. AIM To describe the incidence and perceptions of incivility experienced by undergraduate nursing students from healthcare professionals and others within clinical practice. METHOD This descriptive study used an electronic survey and was conducted at an eastern Canadian university. Descriptive statistics were applied. RESULTS Of 650 nursing students invited to participate in the study, 260 surveys were fully completed. Of these, 70% of respondents indicated experiencing incivility, mostly in acute care settings. Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses were the major offenders. Discourteous gestures and condescending remarks were the most frequently experienced uncivil acts, resulting in feelings of high anxiety and inadequacy. Participants coped by avoiding communication with the perpetrator. Incivility was rarely reported because of a belief it would be fruitless to do so, lack of awareness of policies and fear of retaliation. CONCLUSIONS Nursing students experience incivility frequently in clinical practice with serious consequences. Recommendations arising from this study encourage educators and healthcare leaders to collaborate to review, implement and evaluate curricula, policies and processes to address incivility.

Abstract
As an important professional value, dignity has always been an ethical concern in nursing education and practice. However, the dignity of nursing students in clinical environments has remained a little-discussed topic. This study aims to explore and describe nursing students' dignity in clinical learning environments. This study is a qualitative descriptive work in which data were collected via semi-structured, in-depth, individual interviews and subsequently analyzed according to conventional content analysis. Based on the inclusion criteria of the study, nursing students were selected from different departments of university hospitals in the south of Iran from October 2019 to December 2020 (n = 21). Sampling continued to the point of data saturation. This study has been approved by the institutional review board of the university. Two themes emerged from the data collected in the interviews: trust-based relationships and formation of professional identity. The findings of the study show that nursing students need to be supported by their instructors and perceive that the personnel and patients believe in their ability. In an effectively supportive, trust-based atmosphere, these factors can contribute to maintaining nursing students dignity. Also, showing respect for their personal identity, projecting a positive image of nursing, and giving them authority to perform executive and clinical tasks in hospital departments play a major role in the formation of nursing students' professional identity and development of their dignity. Accordingly, it is recommended that in cultural contexts and clinical learning environments, more attention should be given to nursing students' dignity.

Abstract
One important part of a nurse’s job is to create and help maintain a safe work environment. Evidence shows that negative behaviors such as incivility are not uncommon in the nursing profession. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to examine the prevalence of incivility toward nurses. For this purpose, all observational studies that primarily investigated the rate of incivility toward nurses were selected. The electronic databases PubMed, Embase, Web of Sciences, Magiran, IranDoc, and Scopus were searched for studies published during the period of January 1, 1996 to December 31, 2019. The quality of studies was assessed using Hoy’s Critical Assessment Checklist. The study was undertaken using the random effects model, and data were analyzed using STATA14. Data on 60 articles, including data on 30801 individuals, published between 1997 and 2019, entered the study. The findings showed the prevalence of incivility to be 55.10% (95%, CI: 48.05, 62.06). Due to the high prevalence of uncivil behavior, especially of the verbal type, nursing managers should identify risk factors in the workplace. Planners should develop programs to increase workplace safety, especially in centers that are most exposed to these behaviors. It is also recommended that future studies focus on implementation of effective evidence-based interventions based on organizational culture.

Abstract
Incivility has been identified as a prevalent and crucial issue in workplaces and one that may be associated with detrimental effects on employees and organizational outcomes, such as turnover intention. Many studies have been published regarding the effects of incivility, but there is a lack of integrative reviews and meta-analyses. The aim of the present study is to conduct an early meta-analysis of the relationship between employees’ perceptions of workplace incivility and their turnover intentions. Six databases, including ISI Web of Science, PsychInfo, Scopus, Emerald, Hospitality & Tourism Complete, and Soc Index, were searched to identify empirical articles for this meta-analytical paper. The results of statistical meta-analyses and meta-regression suggest that there is a positive relationship between perceived incivility and turnover intentions in employees and that relationship is consistent across different sources of workplace incivility. However, we did observe a possible interaction effect of “supervisor” and “coworker incivility”. The results also suggest that the relationship between workplace incivility and turnover intention is stronger in the academic sector than in other industries and stronger in the United States than in other countries.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Nursing students are confronted with bullies in the classroom and during clinical placement. Acquisition of the necessary psychomotor skills intended during clinical placements may be impeded when workplace bullies intimidate students. This study aimed to describe the various bullying behaviours experienced by nursing students and their effects during clinical placement in the Central Region of Ghana. METHODS A qualitative phenomenological descriptive approach using a semi-structured interview guide was employed to collect data from nursing students in focus groups. Overall, six (6) focus groups were used, with five (5) students in each group comprising males and females. The sample size was based on data saturation and was saturated on the six focus group discussions giving a sample size of 30. Purposive sampling was used to select students who had been on the ward at least three clinical placements and had experienced bullying in the clinical setting. In-depth interviews were conducted, recorded, transcribed verbatim and analysed using content analysis. RESULTS The study revealed that nursing students had experienced bullying practices such as shouting, isolation, humiliation and being assigned tasks below their competency level. In addition, findings showed that bullying led to a loss of confidence and caused stress and anxiety in nursing students. CONCLUSION Therefore, it is recommended that nursing students are mentored holistically in a caring and accepting environment where they will be supported to achieve their learning goals, build their confidence, and develop their personal and professional identity.

Abstract
Faculty-to-student incivility can have detrimental impacts on both the individual students and the nursing profession. This study synthesized the current qualitative research evidence on the experiences of undergraduate nursing students with faculty incivility in nursing classrooms. A meta-aggregation approach was applied in a systematic review of qualitative studies based on the guideline of the Joanna Briggs Institute. The analysis of 11 qualitative studies identified four synthesized findings: (1) faculty incivility included a wide range of uncivil behaviors from disruptive to threatening behaviors, (2) pedagogical incompetence, including ineffective teaching, unresponsiveness, and unfairness, was perceived as uncivil, (3) faculty incivility negatively impacted on psychological well-being and learning, and (4) adaptation efforts included seeking support from family and friends and voicing the need for an official support system. Nursing faculty members need to be aware of the malicious impacts of faculty incivility, have formal teaching preparation, and develop pedagogical competency. The students and faculty members should be empowered by establishing official support systems for students and training faculty members to be role models for civility, respectively. Faculty perspectives of their incivility to students, interventions for cultivating faculty civility, and the long-term effects of faculty incivility are suggested as areas for further research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In clinical environments, nursing students experience a range of stressors that can affect their health, learning, and quality of patient care. This study aimed to develop a Nursing Students' Perceptions of Clinical Stressors Scale (NSPCSS) and to evaluate its psychometric properties. METHODS This exploratory, sequential mixed-method study was conducted in 2 phases. In the qualitative (item generation) phase, NSPCSS items were generated using the data collected from semi-structured interviews and a literature review. In the quantitative (psychometric evaluation) phase, face, content, construct, convergent, and discriminant validity and reliability of the scale were tested. To evaluate construct validity, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed on the data collected from 430 nursing students. Reliability was also assessed through internal consistency and composite reliability. RESULTS In this study, 6 factors were extracted from 30 itemes through exploratory factor analysis: (1) instructor's limited competence in clinical environments, (2) inappropriate clinical environment, (3) inadequate knowledge and skills, (4) inefficient education in clinical planning, (5) instructor's inappropriate conduct, and (6) concerns about the characteristics of nursing career. These factors accounted for 58.8% of the total variance. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis suggested the goodness-of-fit indices was acceptable. Furthermore, the internal consistency and composite reliability indices of all factors were greater than 0.7. CONCLUSIONS The NSPCSS is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing clinical stressors among nursing students.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Incivility toward nursing students has been identified as a contributor to negative experiences in clinical education and may cause a weakened learning environment, anxiety, depression and workplace violence. However, few data with regard to uncivilized behavior toward nursing students in the operating room are available. The operation room is a special place where the tempo is fast and the risk is high. Nursing students may have to face pressure from different people, such as anesthesiologists, surgeons, clinical instructors, and staff nurses. OBJECTIVES To explore uncivilized behavior toward nursing students in the operating room and to discuss the source of uncivilized behavior and the attitude of clinical instructors when it occurs. METHOD A total of 215 nursing students in the operating room of the Second XiangYa Hospital from January to December 2018 were investigated. The uncivilized behavior in clinical nursing education tool and self-designed questionnaire were used. RESULTS The incivility mean score was (4.6 ± 6.7). In all, 122 (56.7%) participants had experienced various degrees of uncivilized behavior in the operating room. There were significant differences in incivility toward students according to degree of education and age. The most frequent uncivilized behavior toward students was raising of the voice when speaking to students (41.9%), followed by inappropriate tone (36.7%), being embarrassed in front of others (36.3%), and snide remarks (34.4%). Surgeons (59%) were considered as the most important source of uncivil behaviors, followed by staff nurses (46.7%). When students experienced uncivilized behavior, 61.5% clinical instructors defended and comforted them, 23% comforted them privately, 13.1% ignored them, and 2.5% even criticized them together with the uncivil behavior actor. CONCLUSION Nursing managers and instructors should pay more attention to the incivility toward students and take actions to foster a healthy, civilized and respectful work environment in the operating room for students.
