Abstract
Scope and Significance: Pressure ulcers are very difficult to treat and pose an economic burden, just below cancer and cardiovascular illness, at 4.82 billion U.S. dollars. It is important to understand the pathophysiology of the condition, risk stratification, and ways of preventing it. Prevention forms the most important aspect of their management. The authors systematically evaluated the existing risk prediction scales and explored the evidence from literature regarding the role of additional factors including body mass index, obesity, subcutaneous tissue thickness, and skin integrity in pressure ulcers. With this review it is hoped that the future management of pressure ulcers will concentrate on the preventable and alterable factors in its pathophysiology. Translational Relevance: The review focuses on how adipose tissue thickness can predict the occurrence of pressure ulcer. If adequately proved that a definite thickness of peripheral adipose tissue is efficient in prevention of pressure ulcers, then methods of maintaining the thickness of this tissue will be the next effective strategy in the management of this chronic issue. Clinical Relevance: The review addresses the management of pressure ulcers to wound care providers and emphasize on confounding parameters of obesity, subcutaneous tissue thickness, and skin integrity during the treatment regimen of pressure ulcers. Objectives: The main objective of this review is to draw a consensus concerning the role of adipose tissue in pressure ulcers, based on the published research. A review of the various preexisting predictive scales for pressure ulcers is a secondary objective to highlight the shortcomings in ulcer management. This review finally aims in the future at paving a way to refine our prognosticating scales for pressure sores based on these results. Accurate preventative injury risk scales are needed so that preventative resources can be directed to the patients for whom they are the most appropriate.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Mounting evidence suggests that maternal diet influences pregnancy and birth outcomes, but its contribution to the global epidemic of childhood obesity has not as yet been definitively characterized. We investigated whether maternal whole diet quality and inflammatory potential influence childhood adiposity. METHODS We harmonized and pooled individual participant data from 16,295 mother-child pairs in seven European birth cohorts. Maternal pre-, early-, late-, and whole-pregnancy (any time during pregnancy) dietary quality and inflammatory potential assessed with the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) score and the energy-adjusted Dietary Inflammatory Index (E-DII™) score, respectively. Primary outcome was childhood overweight and obesity (OWOB) (age-and-sex-specific BMI z-score > 85th percentile). Secondary outcomes were sum of skinfold thickness (SST), fat mass index (FMI) and fat-free mass index (FFMI). We used multivariable regression analyses (adjusting for maternal lifestyle and sociodemographic factors) to assess the associations of maternal DASH and E-DII scores with offspring adiposity outcomes in cohort-specific analyses, with subsequent random-effect meta-analyses. RESULTS The study mothers had a mean (SD) age of 30.2 (4.6) years and a mean BMI of 23.4 (4.2) kg/m2. Higher early-pregnancy E-DII scores (more pro-inflammatory diet) tended to be associated with a higher odds of late-childhood [10.6 (1.2) years] OWOB [OR (95% CI) 1.09 (1.00, 1.19) per 1-SD E-DII score increase], whereas an inverse association was observed for late-pregnancy E-DII score and early-childhood [2.8 (0.3) years] OWOB [0.91 (0.83, 1.00)]. Higher maternal whole pregnancy DASH score (higher dietary quality) was associated with a lower odds of late-childhood OWOB [OR (95% CI) 0.92 (0.87, 0.98) per 1-SD DASH score increase]; associations were of similar magnitude for early and late-pregnancy [0.86 (0.72, 1.04) and 0.91 (0.85, 0.98), respectively]. These associations were robust in several sensitivity analyses and further adjustment for birth weight and childhood diet did not meaningfully alter the associations and conclusions. In two cohorts with available data, a higher whole pregnancy E-DII and lower DASH scores were associated with a lower late-childhood FFMI in males and a higher mid-childhood FMI in females (P interactions < 0.10). CONCLUSIONS A pro-inflammatory, low-quality maternal antenatal diet may adversely influence offspring body composition and OWOB risk, especially during late-childhood. Promoting an overall healthy and anti-inflammatory maternal dietary pattern may contribute to the prevention of childhood obesity, a complex health issue requiring multifaceted strategy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study was conducted in Turkey as an empirical study in randomized, controlled, and time series design for the purpose of evaluating the effects of the Diet-Exercise trainings with creative drama method provided to overweight/obese teenagers. METHODS This study was designed to highlight the effect of interactive education provided to slightly overweight/obese teenagers through creative drama on modifiable factors that caused obesity. Seventy-six overweight/obese teenagers studying at sixth and seventh grades of upper primary education were included in the study (38 participants in the Study Group and 38 participants in the Control Group). Training courses that were designed based on creative drama method were implemented in five sessions with teenager groups (n = 12-13); and the mothers were also trained in a session in this study (for the Study Group). RESULTS At the end of the study, it was determined that the knowledge, attitude, the order of the meals, and healthy diet-exercise behavior points of the teenagers in the Study Group increased; and the difference between the Study Group and the Control Group was significant (p < 0.05). The BMI, body weight, and waist/height rate of the teenagers in the Study Group decreased at a significant level after the study was completed (p < 0.05); and significant increases were determined in the waist circumference and body weight measurements of the Control Group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS As a conclusion, overweight/obese teenagers may be reached with school-based educational programs, and they may be made to acquire positive attitudes and behaviors through diet and exercises designed with interactive methods like creative drama.

Abstract
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that schools adopt 10 safeguards before launching a body mass index (BMI) screening program; however, little is known about schools' safeguard adoption. Authors identified questions from the 2014 School Health Policies and Practices Study that aligned with 4 of the 10 safeguards to estimate safeguard prevalence among schools that screened students for BMI (40.7%, N = 223). Among these schools, 3.1% had all four safeguards and 56.5% had none or one. The most prevalent safeguard was having reliable and accurate equipment (54.1%, 95% confidence interval [CI] = [46.1, 62.1]). Providing staff with appropriate expertise and training was the least prevalent; respondents in 26.4% (95% CI [17.1, 35.6]) of schools received recent training on weight status assessment, weight management, and eating disorder identification. School-based BMI screening is common, but adopting multiple recommended safeguards is not. Absent these safeguards, BMI screening programs may fall short of intended outcomes and potentially incur unintended consequences.

Abstract
Half of U.S. states measure students' body mass index (BMI), with many communicating that information to parents through a "BMI report card" or notification letter. School nurses are usually responsible for implementing these programs and communicating results to parents. The purpose of this study was to understand parents' perceptions of BMI screening programs to help inform school nurses about messages that are most helpful to use in report cards to motivate parents to follow-up with a health-care provider or to make behavioral changes for their child. Using a cluster analysis and perceptual mapping methods, a commercial marketing technique that creates three-dimensional graphic maps, we identified four unique clusters of parents based on their core attitudes and beliefs related to BMI screenings and report cards. Based on vector modeling techniques, key message strategies were developed that can be used by school nurses to enhance parent response to a BMI report card.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Quantitative magnetic resonance (QMR) has been increasingly used to measure human body composition, but its use and validation in children is limited. OBJECTIVE We compared body composition measurement by QMR and air displacement plethysmography (ADP) in preschool children from Singapore's multi-ethnic Asian population (n = 152; mean ± SD age: 5.0 ± 0.1 years). METHODS Agreements between QMR-based and ADP-based fat mass and fat mass index (FMI) were assessed using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), reduced major axis regression and Bland-Altman plot analyses. Analyses were stratified for the child's sex. RESULTS Substantial agreement was observed between QMR-based and ADP-based fat mass (ICC: 0.85) and FMI (ICC: 0.82). Reduced major axis regression analysis suggested that QMR measurements were generally lower than ADP measurements. Bland-Altman analysis similarly revealed that QMR-based fat mass were (mean difference [95% limits of agreement]) -0.5 (-2.1 to +1.1) kg lower than ADP-based fat mass and QMR-based FMI were -0.4 (-1.8 to +0.9) kg/m2 lower than ADP-based FMI. Stratification by offspring sex revealed better agreement of QMR and ADP measurements in girls than in boys. CONCLUSIONS QMR-based fat mass and FMI showed substantial agreement with, but was generally lower than, ADP-based measures in young Asian children.

Abstract
The relationship between physical fitness and health in adults is well established, yet until recently, empirical support for the impact of physical fitness levels on health markers in children has not been thoroughly documented. The aim of this review was to provide a summary of current literature that has examined the linkage between measures of health-related physical fitness (ie, cardiorespiratory fitness, musculoskeletal fitness, flexibility, and body composition) and health markers in youth. Specifically, this review focused on the findings from the recent 2012 Institutes of Medicine report on Fitness Measures in Youth as well as other subsequent review articles related to the topic.
