Abstract
Purpose Trabecular bone score (TBS), as a texture indicator of bone microarchitecture, predicts the risk of fracture. This study aims to explore the knowledge map of TBS. Methods We searched Scopus for "trabecular bone score" or "trabecular score" from the beginning to 2021. Our inclusion criteria were original articles and reviews that were related to TBS and our exclusion criteria were non-English articles, non-related to TBS, and document type other than original articles and reviews. and related documents were included for bibliometric analysis. Excel, VOS viewer, and Science of Science (Sci2) software were used for data synthesis. Results From 749 retrieved articles, 652 articles were included for analysis. These documents were cited 12,153 times and had an H-index of 56. The most productivity belonged to the USA (n = 130 documents), Switzerland (n = 101), and Italy (n = 67). "Osteoporosis International" (n = 80) had the highest participation in publishing. The research topics of interest were mainly related to the applicability of TBS for fracture risk assessment in chronic endocrine disorders such as osteoporosis and diabetes mellitus. Bursting analysis of the title and abstract revealed the initial focus of the discriminative power of TBS for osteoporotic fracture and the more recent focus on comparing bone mineral density (BMD) and TBS in a variety of chronic diseases. Conclusion The number of annual publications on TBS has increased, especially after 2016. These publications highlight the importance of in-depth knowledge of TBS in predicting fracture risk and also its strengths and limitations of treatment monitoring in different health conditions. Abstract
Traditional Chinese exercises (TCEs) have great value in the prevention and effective treatment of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Our purpose in this study was to summarize present research trends and future directions regarding the link between TCEs and CVD by bibliometrics analysis. We searched the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) for all original articles and reviews on TCEs for CVD published in English before August 7, 2022 using CiteSpace 5.8.R3 and Microsoft Excel 2019 software, and we displayed the results in the form of network maps, line graphs, and tables. We initially obtained 725 articles. Our results showed that the United States was the most influential country in this line of research, with Harvard University the most prolific institution in the field, and, Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine was the most productive journal for these articles. The highest-frequency keywords in this research area were Tai Chi, exercise, blood pressure, quality of life, and older adult. Additionally, important research topics included heart rate variability, quality of life, meta-analysis, Baduanjin exercise, and breathing exercise. In addition, our results revealed that among all the TCEs, Tai Chi, Baduanjin, and Qigong emerged as the most extensively studied. However, it's important to note our exclusive focus on literature published in English may have led to our missing important results. Future investigators should broaden their search to include other databases and languages to present a still more comprehensive overview of this field.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of CA on glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) and lucubrate the underlying mechanism of CA via the activation of polycystic kidney disease-1(PKD1) in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). METHODS In vivo, a GIOP model in mice treated with dexamethasone (Dex) was established. Biomechanical, micro-CT, immunofluorescence staining of OCN, ALP and PKD1 and others were severally determined. qRT-PCR and Western blot methods were adopted to elucidate the particular mechanisms of CA on GIOP. In addition, BMSCs cultured in vitro were also induced by Dex to verify the effects of CA. Finally, siRNA and luciferase activity assays were performed to confirm the mechanisms. RESULTS We found that CA could restore the destroyed bone microarchitecture and increase the bone mass in GIOP mice. CA could also upregulate PKD1 protein expression, reduce oxidative stress, and promote mRNA expression of bone formation-associated markers in GIOP mice. Furthermore, it was also observed that CA reduced oxidative stress and promoted osteogenic differentiation in Dex-induced BMSCs. Mechanically, CA could promote protein expression via increasing the activity of PKD1 promoter. CONCLUSION This study provides important evidences for CA in the further clinical treatment of GIOP, reveals the activation of PKD1 promoter as the underlying mechanism.

Abstract
Identifying the gaps in scientific production in a topic allows directing research in order to make better public investment decisions. Bibliometric data on osteoporosis in Latin America are very limited and unclear and, given the impact of this disease in this region, it is relevant to analyze the latest trends in the subject. The study approach was quantitative, observational-descriptive, cross-sectional. Data were collected from journals indexed in Scopus between 1990 and 2019, using a search strategy that included Medical Subject Headings terms for "Osteoporosis" and other related terms, as well as VOSviewer software to create cooperative and co-occurrence word maps. 3261 documents were analyzed, with an annual scientific production rate of 5% (163 documents), where 73.9% were original articles. The countries with the highest scientific production in osteoporosis were Brazil (55.2%) and Argentina (18%). Extra-regional cooperation was mainly with the United States (16.35%) and Spain (5.18%). Six of the 10 most productive countries had their own government agencies as the main funders. The National Council for Scientific and Technological Development was the institution that funded the most (n = 194). The term "osteoporosis" together with the terms "bone mineral density," "fractures," and "menopause" were the most frequently addressed subjects. Latin American scientific production in osteoporosis has shown a significant increase. However, in the last 3 years it has shown a slight reduction. Greater intraregional collaboration involving universities, institutions and health societies is needed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Studies on the association of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) with osteoporosis, and bone mineral density (BMD) have been inconsistent. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of a history of GDM with osteoporosis, BMD, and trabecular bone score (TBS) in postmenopausal women. METHODS Postmenopausal women from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2007 and 2010, between 2013 and 2014, and between 2017 and 2018 were retrospectively included in this cross-sectional study. The logistic regression model was used to explore the relationship between GDM and osteoporosis, and a weighted linear regression model was applied to investigate the association between GDM and total femoral BMD, femoral neck BMD, and total TBS. Subgroup analysis of the association between GDM and osteoporosis was performed according to age, body mass index (BMI), and DM (yes or no). RESULTS Of the 6732 women included, 253 women (3.76%) had GDM. No significant differences in total femoral BMD, femoral neck BMD, and total TBS were observed between postmenopausal women with and without a history of GDM. However, a history of GDM was associated with a higher risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women [odds ratio (OR): 11.18, 95% confidence intervals (CI): 3.64 to 34.27, P < 0.001]. There was no significant difference between a history of GDM and osteoporosis in postmenopausal women whom BMI is normal and overweight women. However, there was an association between a history of GDM and osteoporosis in postmenopausal obese women (OR: 26.57, 95% CI 10.23 to 68.98, P < 0.001). CONCLUSION A history of GDM was associated with a higher risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, particularly in postmenopausal obese women.

Abstract
Prednisolone, used as a standard initial treatment for immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), is an important risk factor for osteoporosis. Recently, we found that prescription of bisphosphonate during initial loading of prednisolone may prevent reduction in bone mineral density and development of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIO) in older patients with ITP receiving prolonged steroid therapy. In this review, I describe the treatment options for older patients with ITP, and present the best practices for screening, evaluating, and diagnosing ITP. I also summarize the literature from 2017 to 2022 on the treatment options for ITP, including discussions on the contraindications and side effects, with an emphasis on GIO, and the relative merits of bisphosphonates as a co-treatment for prevention of GIO. Finally, I present a perspective and an expert recommendation on how older patients with ITP would best be served in the future.

Abstract
Background The pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has been studied in relation to the microbiome, providing space for more targeted interventions and new treatments. Numerous papers on the COPD microbiome have been reported in the last 10 years, yet few publications have used bibliometric methods to evaluate this area. Methods We searched the Web of Science Core Collection for all original research articles in the field of COPD microbiome from January 2011 to August 2022 and used CiteSpace for visual analysis. Results A total of 505 relevant publications were obtained, and the number of global publications in this field is steadily increasing every year, with China and the USA occupying the first two spots in international publications. Imperial College London and the University of Leicester produced the most publications. Brightling C from the UK was the most prolific writer, while Huang Y and Sze M from the USA were first and second among the authors cited. The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine had the highest frequency of citations. The top 10 institutions, cited authors and journals are mostly from the UK and the US. In the ranking of citations, the first article was a paper published by Sze M on changes in the lung tissue's microbiota in COPD patients. The keywords "exacerbation", "gut microbiota", "lung microbiome", "airway microbiome", "bacterial colonization", and "inflammation" were identified as cutting-edge research projects for 2011-2022. Conclusion Based on the visualization results, in the future, we can use the gut-lung axis as the starting point to explore the immunoinflammatory mechanism of COPD, and study how to predict the effects of different treatments of COPD by identifying the microbiota, and how to achieve the optimal enrichment of beneficial bacteria and the optimal consumption of harmful bacteria to improve COPD.

Abstract
Background Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) is a current research hotspot, with a surge in the output of publications over the past decade. This study dedicates to the exploration of the research status and highlights significant themes and future trends in FMT research with the aid of bibliometric analysis. Methods FMT publications from 2012 to 2021 were retrieved on August 12, 2022, using the SCI-Expanded of Web of Science (WoS). The Bibliometrix in R program, Microsoft Office Excel, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace were utilized for bibliometrics and visual analysis, revealing the main publications, journals, countries, agencies, authors, and keywords distribution in FMT research. Results There were 2,931 papers included. FMT research presented a growing trend from 2012 to 2021. The countries with the most publications and contributions in FMT area were China and the United States. The high-yield institutions were Harvard University, Udice French Research Universities, and the University of California System. The primary authors were Nieuwdorp Max, Allegretti Jessica R, and Kassam Zain. Frontiers in Microbiology and Science were the top-ranked journals in publications and total citations, respectively. The important topics primarily included FMT-related mechanisms and the usage of FMT in Clostridium difficile infection (CDI), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), metabolic disease, neurological disorders, and psychiatric disorders. Future research would primarily concentrate on neurological disorders, chemotherapy and immunotherapy for malignant tumors, and FMT-related consensus and guidelines. Conclusion With the help of bibliometric analysis, we were able to obtain the understanding of the status and trends of global FMT-related research. The field of FMT is undergoing tremendous progress, and our findings can guide clinical researchers' and practitioners' future work in the rapidly evolving field of FMT.

Abstract
Purpose Recent years have seen an increased awareness of sarcopenia in the cross field of osteoporosis and sarcopenia. The goal of this study was to evaluate current bibliometric characteristics and the status of cross-sectional studies between osteoporosis and sarcopenia. Methods Publications related to osteoporosis and sarcopenia published between January 2000 and November 2022 were extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection; bibliometric and visualization were performed by Microsoft Office Excel, VOSviewer, Citespace, and R. Results A total of 1128 documents written by 5791 authors from 1758 organizations in 62 countries and published in 405 journals were identified. USA was the leading country with the highest publication and total citation. University of Melbourne contributed the most publications, while Tufts University had the largest citations. Osteoporosis International was the most influential journals in this field with the highest publications, citations and H index. Cooper C was the most influential author, who published the 20 studies, had the highest local citations and the highest H index. The keywords were classified into 6 clusters: Cluster 1 (aging), Cluster 2 (frailty) and Cluster 3 (osteosarcopenia). Conclusion Our bibliometric results revealed that the global osteoporosis and sarcopenia-related research increased rapidly from 2000 to 2022, suggesting it was a promising area of research for the future. The future trends in the cross field of sarcopenia and osteoporosis would be the molecular mechanisms of crosstalk between muscles and bones, safety and efficacy interventions with a dual effect on muscle and bone and osteosarcopenia.

Abstract
Objective Focusing on the theme of "osteoporosis-related research in adolescents," a systematic visualization of the developmental lineage, current research status, hot spots, and trends of adolescent osteoporosis was conducted to provide a reference for subsequent related research, clinical diagnosis, and treatment. Method The Web of Science core database was used as the data source to retrieve the relevant literature and the bibliometrics method. An online bibliometric platform, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer software were used to conduct co-occurrence analysis on the authors, scientific research institutions, national cooperation, keywords, and funding sources to draw the relevant knowledge map. Result A total of 1,199 publications from the Web of Science core database were included in this study. The number of published adolescent osteoporosis (AOP) studies has shown an upward trend over the past 29 years, with the United States being the major contributor to the field with the highest number of publications (291, 24.3%) and the highest number of citations (12,186). The international collaboration map shows that the United States is the country most focused on international collaborative exchanges, with the closest collaboration between the United States and Canada. The most influential research institutions and authors are Children's Hospital and Rauch F. the United States is the primary funding source for this research area. Research hotspots were mainly focused on "bone density," "osteoporosis," and "children." Conclusion These knowledge maps review the research hotpots in adolescent osteoporosis research over time, analyze and summarize the research process over the past 29 years, and predict future research directions.
