Abstract
The G-20 countries represent a considerable percentage of the global economy and are crucial in matters to do with support for environmental sustainability. The uniqueness of this study lies in determining the effects of forests on human well-being and environmental degradation with respect to G20, offering a unique perspective regarding the efforts to battle climate change. The study analyzed the impact of income, forest extent and education on ecological and carbon intensity of well-being following the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis. Based on annual data from 1990 to 2022 and employing the Method of Moments Quantile Regression, the results validate the presence of an inverted U-shaped relationship between GDP and environmental well-being which refers to the existence of EKC. Our results connect improved ecological and carbon intensity of well-being with expanding forest extent and improving education levels. Forest management combined with educational management work as an effective mechanism reducing environmental degradation while also positively contributing to human well-being. In addition, through these informed and rational decisions, policy makers can promote the environmental stability of forests.

Abstract
As the world struggles with pressing issues like climate change and sustainable development, affecting health outcomes and environmental quality, the Nordic regionsare at the forefront of major global challenges. This paper investigates the role of human capital, renewable energy use, tourism, natural resources, and economic growth in shaping life in the Nordic region i.e., Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland).Utilizing panel data spanning from 1990 to 2020, the Driscoll and Kraay standard error (DSK) technique is employed to analyze this intricate interplay. The study reveals that in the Nordic context, sustainable economic growth, bolstered by investments in human capital and the widespread acceptance of renewable energy sources, has been positively associated with increased life expectancies. Furthermore, prudent management of natural resources has helped mitigate adverse health effects related to depletion, maintaining environmental and public health standards. The thriving tourism industry has also been shown to influence lifespan in this region positively. On the contrary, the empirical finding contended that an adverse correlation exists between carbon emissions and LEX. This research underscores the importance of a comprehensive and balanced approach that considers economic development, sustainable development, and public health in pursuing longer and healthier lives, providing valuable insights for policymakers and regions seeking to replicate these positive outcomes.The findings of this study are both conceptually reliable and empirically robust, providing important insights for the formulation of environmental and health policy.

It highlights the critical role of the healthcare sector, particularly anaesthesia, in both contributing to and mitigating climate change. It is a call to action for the medical community to recognise and respond to the health challenges posed by climate change.

Abstract
Ensuring good quality of health and longevity became a topical for policymakers and academicians. Various determinants, including socio-economic factors, have been discussed in the literature. Nevertheless, the empirical studies on this issue are scanty in least-developed countries like Somalia where the health indicators are poor. In this regard, this undertaking examines the impacts of renewable energy, urbanization, environmental pollution, and economic growth on life expectancy in Somalia for the period straddling 1990-2016. The study uses a novelty machine learning method - Kernel regularized least square (KRLS) method. The empirical results indicated that renewable energy, economic growth, and urbanization are statistically significant; whereas, environmental pollution is statistically insignificant. Renewable energy, economic growth, and urbanization exert positive effects on life expectancy in Somalia and have increasing marginal effects. Besides, bidirectional causality between renewable energy and life expectancy, life expectancy and economic growth, and environmental pollution and life expectancy are established. Moreover, unidirectional causality from urbanization to life expectancy is also observed. The study suggests that a budgetary revision be made to sort out health-related concerns resulting from a lack of healthcare services and poor sanitation for improving the longevity of the people. Additionally, investments in clean energy are necessary as will improve health outcomes without compromising economic growth and life expectancy.

Abstract
Cancer is one of the leading causes of human death worldwide. Treatment of cancer exhausts significant medical resources, and the morbidity and mortality caused by cancer is a huge social burden. Cancer has therefore become a serious economic and social problem shared globally. As an increasingly prevalent disease in China, cancer is a huge challenge for the country's healthcare system. Based on recent data published in the Journal of the National Cancer Center on cancer incidence and mortality in China in 2016, we analyzed the current trends in cancer incidence and changes in cancer mortality and survival rate in China. And also, we examined several key risk factors for cancer pathogenesis and discussed potential countermeasures for cancer prevention and treatment in China.

Abstract
In recent years, the interrelationships between the environment, energy, and health have received a growing amount of attention due to their substantial impact on the health of humans. By examining what influences Eastern Europeans' longevity between 1990 and 2021, this study hopes to contribute to this field of study. Energy consumption, health expenditure, pollution, institutional quality index (IQI), financial development, and other attributes profoundly impact human health. Because of the extensive network of commerce, tourism, education, religion, and treaties connecting East European countries, tests for cross-sectional dependence (CSD) and slope heterogeneity (SH) are utilized. After verifying the CSD and SH issues, the study uses the second generation's unit root and cointegration tests. As the previous test indicates, a new panel method, the cross-sectional autoregressive distributive lag (CS-ARDL) model, is required, as conventional estimations are inappropriate. The Quantile Regression (QR) method is also applied to check robustness. This study indicated that increased health expenditure, renewable energy consumption, and IQI improves health outcomes in Eastern European nations. There was a good connection between renewable energy consumption and health benefits, the study concluded. Though financial development positively impacts life expectancy, the impact is insignificant. On the other hand, the study also shows that CO2 emissions and fossil fuel consumption decrease life expectancy. These results are consistent with those obtained using the QR method. To enhance health outcomes, it is necessary to take measures to raise health spending, increase the use of renewable energy, and foster financial development over the long term. On the other hand, Eastern European nations need to shift their attention from fossil fuels to renewable energy.

Abstract
One essential component that reflects the development of society and the economy of most countries is life expectancy (LEXP). Nevertheless, LEXP can be influenced by varying factors, including socioeconomic and medical factors. Therefore, this analysis's focal point and motivation is to explore how socioeconomic factors such as economic growth, technological innovation, carbon emission, human capital, and renewable energy affect LEXP. The study utilized panel data from 1990 to 2020 from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which consists of the USA, Mexico, and Canada. The initial test confirmed that the research series were stationary and cointegrated. Therefore, the research applied the cross-sectional autoregressive distributed lag (CS-ARDL) model to predict the paper's short- and long-term estimates. The empirical estimated model concluded that human capital, renewable energy, technological innovation, and economic growth boost life expectancy. Contrarily, the outcome espoused that carbon emission has an inverse association with LEXP. The causality test confirmed a unidirectional interaction between human capital, economic growth, technological innovation, and life expectancy. On the other hand, there is a bidirectional connection between carbon emission, renewable energy, and life expectancy. The research suggests that stakeholders and policy-makers strengthen and enforce air quality standards to reduce pollution from industrial emissions and vehicle exhaust and encourage using cleaner technologies to promote LEXP. The research outcome is empirically and theoretically consistent, providing an essential breakthrough for environment-health-energy and economic development policies.

Abstract
Sustainability is an important concept for the whole world. Generally, in order to measure the sustainability of the environment, carbon dioxide emissions and ecological footprint indicators are used. However, these variables do not reflect the supply side of natural resources. Therefore, load capacity factor is an important environmental indicator for a sustainability. Environmental assessment based on the load capacity factor is more meaningful. Besides, improved access to financial services can contribute to environmental sustainability. The effect of financial inclusion on the load capacity factor in Türkiye has not been examined in the current literature. In this context, this study analyzes the impact of financial inclusion, hydropower energy consumption, and life expectancy at birth on environmental sustainability from a different perspective by focusing on load capacity factor. To this end, this study used the newly developed Augmented ARDL method to determine the cointegration relationship between the series and measure the values of the long-term coefficients. Based on the Augmented ARDL method, there is a cointegration relationship between the series. In the long run, hydropower energy consumption reduces pollution, while financial inclusion decreases load capacity factor. The effect of life expectancy at birth on pollution is not significant. Moreover, the results reveal that the load capacity curve hypothesis is valid in Türkiye. As a result, the Turkish government should promote renewable energy sources, especially hydropower energy consumption, align financial services with pollution reduction measures, and contribute to the creation of an environmentally conscious society.

Abstract
Despite marked advancements, life expectancy (LE) growth in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has remained stagnant compared to other developed nations. This study aims to investigate the significant correlation between macroeconomic (ME), sociodemographic (SD), and health status and resources (HSR) factors and LE to formulate an explanatory model for Saudi Arabia and the UAE-a previously unexplored area. Utilizing an ecological, retrospective, time-series study design, we delved into secondary data on SD, ME, and HSR factors and LE of the populations of the UAE and Saudi Arabia spanning three decades (1980-2020). We employed partial least squares-structural equation modeling for statistical analysis. Our analysis revealed significant direct impacts of HSR factors on LE for Saudi Arabia (β = 0.958, p < 0.001) and the UAE (β = 0.716, p < 0.001). Furthermore, we discerned a notable indirect influence of ME factors on LE, mediated through SD and HSR factors for Saudi Arabia (β = 0.507, p < 0.001) and the UAE (β = 0.509, p < 0.001), along with a considerable indirect effect of SD factors on LE through HSR (Saudi: β = 0.529, p < 0.001; UAE: β = 0.711, p < 0.001). This study underscores the mediating role of a nexus of ME-SD-HSR factors on LE in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Consequently, these findings signal an imperative need for holistic policy interventions addressing ME, SD, and HSR factors, aiming to alter health behaviors and improve LE projections for Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the long run.

Abstract
This study examines the effects of health expenditure, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, population size, and income on health outcomes in 46 Asian nations between 1997 and 2019. Cross-sectional dependence (CSD) and slope heterogeneity (SH) tests are utilized due to the close linkages between Asian nations as a result of commerce, tourism, religion, and international agreements. The research uses unit root and cointegration tests of the second generation after validating CSD and SH issues. Due to the results of the CSD and SH tests, it is clear that conventional methods of estimation are inappropriate, so a new panel method, the inter autoregressive distributive lag (CS-ARDL) model, is used instead. In addition to CS-ARDL, the study's results were checked with a common correlated effects mean group (CCEMG) method and an augmented mean group (AMG) method. According to the CS-ARDL study, higher rates of energy use and healthcare spending lead to better health outcomes for Asian countries over the long run. CO2 emissions are shown to be harmful to human health, according to the study. The influence of a population's size on health outcomes is shown to be negative in the CS-ARDL and CCEMG, but favorable in the AMG. Only the AMG coefficient is significant. In most instances, the results of the AMG and CCEMG corroborate the results of the CS-ARDL. Among all the factors influencing life expectancy in Asian countries, healthcare spending is the most influential. Hence, to improve health outcomes, Asian countries need to take the required actions to boost health spending, energy consumption, and long-term economic growth. To achieve the best possible health outcomes, Asian countries should also reduce their CO2 emissions.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate and quantify the association between oxygen concentration and life expectancy. The data from 34 provinces and 39 municipalities were included in all analyses. Bayesian regression modeling with spatial-specific random effects was used to quantify the impact of oxygen concentration (measured as partial pressure of oxygen) on life expectancy, adjusting for other potential confounding factors. We used hierarchical cluster analysis to group the provinces according to disease burden and analyzed the oxygen levels and the characteristics of causes of death between the clusters. The Bayesian regression analysis showed that the life expectancy at the provincial level increased by 0.15 (95% CI: 0.10-0.19) years, while at the municipal level, it increased by 0.17 (95% CI: 0.12-0.22) years, with each additional unit (mmHg) of oxygen concentration, after controlling for potential confounding factors. Three clusters were identified in the hierarchical cluster analysis, which were characterized by different oxygen concentrations, and the years of life lost from causes potentially related to hypoxia were statistically significantly different between the clusters. A positive correlation was found between oxygen concentration and life expectancy in China. The differences in causes of death and oxygen levels in the provincial clusters suggested that oxygen concentration may be an important factor in life expectancy when mediated by diseases that are potentially related to hypoxia.

Abstract
In an era marked by a sweeping pandemic and the encroaching shadow of an energy crisis, the well-being and lifespan of global populations have become pressing concerns for every nation. This research zeroes in on life expectancy (LE), a powerful indicator of societal health in Oman and Qatar. Our study juxtaposes 3 key factors affecting LE: health status and resources (HSR), macroeconomics (ME), and sociodemographic (SD) factors. To achieve this, we tapped into a comprehensive data set from the World Bank, encompassing a transformative 3-decade span from 1990 to 2020. The intricate interplay between these factors and LE was deciphered through robust Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Our findings construct a compelling narrative: ME has an indirect yet considerable influence on LE-manifesting with an effect of 0.602 for Oman and 0.676 for Qatar. This influence is mediated by SD and HSR components. Similarly, SD elements impact LE indirectly-with an effect of 0.653 for Oman and 0.759 for Qatar- this effect is mediated by HSR. In contrast, HSR themselves wield a robust and direct influence on LE, indicated by an effect of 0.839 for Oman and 0.904 for Qatar. All these aforementioned effects were statistically substantial (P < .001). Our research magnifies the robust direct influence of HSR on LE in both Oman and Qatar, simultaneously highlighting the noteworthy indirect role of ME and SD factors. This emphasizes the significance of adopting an integrated policy approach that considers all the SD, ME, and HSR factors to improve the population health in both countries, which are also crucial for promoting LE growth in the Gulf Cooperation Council region.

Abstract
Ageing is a distinctive feature of living organisms. With the modernization of human societies, including the development of science, technology and education, expected life expectancy at birth is being extended. This allows novel health-related conditions to gain particular interest amongst the field experts. Along comes sarcopenia, an age-related condition of global proportions that effects all populations, societies and countries. Several international working groups have been trying to identify the more appropriate and applicable sarcopenia definition and diagnostic criteria to follow. Contrary to the initial muscle mass-related context, the shift of attention to muscle strength by the revised European Working Group in Sarcopenia for Older People (EWGSOP2) was ground-breaking and potentially game-changing. The suggested diagnostic algorithm by the EWGSOP2 for case finding, diagnosing and quantifying the severity of cases further facilitated the applicability on clinical practices. Since being directly related to the ageing process, sarcopenia presents an issue of growing concern particularly within the high-income and developed world regions that are generally characterized with an increased life expectancy. In contrast, the developing world and their generally lower life expectancy do not always have sarcopenia amongst the top targeted health-related concerns. In such cases, the expected life expectancy and the populations' quality of life do not necessarily present an issue of major interest. Other serious medical concerns of acute state often eclipse the need for long-term health-related investments, shifting the interest towards only direct interventions and short-term planning. In conclusion, the emerging of sarcopenia as a serious age-related concern is finding care providers and healthcare systems from lower and middle-income countries (LMICs) unprepared. For the time being, it needs to be introduced and promoted in the developing world as a condition with direct life-threatening implications. Simple and creative forms of approach should be ideated and implemented in both scientific and clinical contexts (by researchers and care providers, respectively). The best practice to address this situation would be by empowering intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborations, as well as facilitating interconnections between researches, healthcare practitioners and clients. This should help establish sarcopenia as a serious age-related condition that needs a multidisciplinary and multidimensional approach.

Abstract
Life expectancy is one of the crucial criteria for determining the quality of life in today's societies. As such, the study of factors affecting life expectancy is a key issue for policymakers. This study aims to investigate the impact of energy consumption, the democratic process, and government service delivery on life expectancy in 100 countries during 2000-2018, using panel quantile regression. The impact of these factors on life expectancy has been estimated in quantiles of 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, and 0.95. Also, the impact of GDP, CO2 emission, and Gini coefficient variables has been explored as controlling variables on life expectancy. The results show that the impact of CO2 emissions and the democratic process on life expectancy is negative in all quantiles, and the impact of GDP is negative in all quantiles except 0.95. Moreover, the relationship between hydroelectricity consumption and life expectancy in the 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.8, and 0.9 quantiles is negative and significant. Accordingly, based on the results, the impact of petroleum and other liquids consumption, government service delivery, and Gini coefficient on life expectancy in all quantiles is positive and only the impact of the Gini coefficient on life expectancy in all quantiles is significant.
