Abstract
Burnout is a state of emotional and physical depletion. Its occurrence among critical care nurses (CCNs) is a concept that has gained traction yet remains an issue with global consequences. Nurses are especially vulnerable to burnout due to the persistent stressors they are exposed to, which include the general work environment, biological factors, and emerging changes caused by COVID-19. This study aims to assess the severity of burnout among CCNs during the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated factors. A descriptive cross-sectional questionnaire was used in this study to measure the estimated burnout rate among CCNs in Palestine and establish associations with potential factors. Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire was used for the task. The results showed out of the 173 participants, more than 35% reported severe overall burnout. Per burnout domains, it was found that around 70% of participants suffered from low personal accomplishment, while 59.5% had severe levels of depersonalization, and finally, more than 65% of critical nurses had severe emotional exhaustion. Out of the various variables tested, gender, age, type of hospital, PPE, and fear of transmission were found to be associated with overall burnout. CCNs in Palestine were found to be severely burned out and should be dealt with before getting out of hand. The research found variables related to burnout contributed to burnout. Recommendations for further studies and prioritization should be made.

Abstract
PURPOSE Pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) worldwide restricted family presence in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We aimed to explore the experiences and impact of restricted family presence policies on Canadian PICU clinicians. METHODS We conducted a qualitative study that followed an interpretive phenomenological design. Participants were PICU clinicians providing direct patient care in Canada during periods of COVID-19-related restricted family presence. We purposively sampled for maximum variation among survey participants who consented to be contacted for further research on the same topic. In-depth interviews were conducted remotely via telephone or video-call, audio-recorded, and transcribed. Interviews were inductively coded and underwent thematic analysis. Proposed themes were member-checked by interviewees. RESULTS Sixteen PICU clinicians completed interviews. Interviewees practiced across Canada, represented a range of disciplines (eight nurses, two physicians, two respiratory therapists, two child life specialists, two social workers) and years in profession (0-34 years). We identified four themes representing the most meaningful aspects of restricted family presence for participants: 1) balancing infection control and family presence; 2) feeling disempowered by hospital and policy-making hierarchies; 3) empathizing with family trauma; and 4) navigating threats to the therapeutic relationship. CONCLUSION Pediatric intensive care unit clinicians were impacted by restricted family presence policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. These policies contributed to feelings of disempowerment and challenged clinicians' perceived ability to provide the best family-centred care possible. Frontline expertise should be incorporated into the design and implementation of policies to best support family-centred care in any context and minimize risks of moral distress for PICU clinicians.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study explored the meaning behind professional identity in intensive care nurses who cared for patients with COVID-19. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY/DESIGN The exploration was conducted using a qualitative interpretive phenomenological approach with guidance from hermeneutics. SETTING Semi-structured audiovisual interviews were conducted with intensive care unit nurses (n = 20) throughout the United States of America, spanning nurse experiences of caring for patients with COVID-19 between 2019 and 2022. OUTCOME MEASURE Outcome measures were codes and themes which emerged from data using Benner's interpretive phenomenology method for nursing and Heidegger's hermeneutic circle. FINDINGS Four critical findings of this study were the themes a) Keep Them Alive, b) We Are Survivors, c) I Am An Intensive Care Unit Nurse, and d) I Was Meant For This. CONCLUSION Findings suggest that professional identity is evolving for nurses as they care for patients in the intensive care and that evolution affects nursing professionals' quality of life. IMPLICATIONS FOR CLINICAL PRACTICE The findings of this study have important implications for nursing practice. These themes highlight intensive care nurses' deep commitment and strong professional identity, which can positively impact nurse retention and foster a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Understanding the meaning attached to nurses' experiences can allow nurse leaders and mentors to enhance their roles and aid in the preparation of future intensive care nurses, helping future nurses find focus and satisfaction in their professional identities. Recognizing and nurturing nurses' strong professional identity may positively impact nurse retention and fulfillment. To achieve this, nurse leaders must comprehend and support nurses' experiences, cultivating an environment that empowers these caregivers to thrive and make a lasting impact on patient care.

Abstract
Introduction The high prevalence of burnout in resident physicians is expected to have increased as a result of the expansion of the pandemic. We conducted a systematic review with a meta-analysis of studies conducted during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic on burnout in residents and potential associated risk factors. Methods The search was done in the Web of Science, MEDLINE, Scopus, and Lillac databases (April 2020-October 2021) using a priori protocol based on the PRISMA guidelines. The Newcastle Ottawa Scale was used to assess the risk of bias in the included studies. We estimated the pooled prevalence (95% CI) of burnout and the prevalence ratio (95% CI) of each risk factor associated. Results We included 23 studies from 451 potential initial articles and those written in the English language; all of the collected studies were cross-sectional with anonymous online surveys, involving 4,998 responders (34%), of which 53.2% were female responders, 51% were R1-2, and 71% were in direct contact with COVID-19 patients. Eighty-seven percent presented a low-to-moderate risk of bias. Publication bias was not shown. The estimated pooled prevalence of burnout was 40% (95% CI = 0.26 - 0.57). Burnout was associated with psychiatry history (PR = 4.60, 95% CI = 1.06 - 20.06). There were no differences by gender, civil status, children in-charge, year of residency, or time exposure to COVID-19. Discussion The overall prevalence of burnout in residents during the first wave of the pandemic was in line with the results described in this collective before the pandemic. The presence of a psychiatry history was a potential burnout risk factor, suggesting a high vulnerability during the peak of the stress period and the need to implement mental health surveillance for this subgroup.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE this study evaluated burnout symptoms among physicians and nurses before, during and after COVID-19 care. METHOD a cross-sectional comparative study in the Pulmonary Care unit of a tertiary-level public hospital. The Maslach Burnout Inventory was used. RESULTS 280 surveys were distributed across three periods: before (n=80), during (n=105) and after (n=95) COVID-19 care; 172 surveys were returned. The response rates were 57.5%, 64.8% and 61.1%, respectively. The prevalence of severe burnout was 30.4%, 63.2% and 34.5% before, during and after COVID-19 care (p<0.001). Emotional exhaustion (p<0.001) and depersonalization (p=0.002) symptoms were more prevalent among nurses than among physicians. Severe burnout was more prevalent in women, nurses and night shift staff. CONCLUSION the high prevalence of burnout doubled in the first peak of hospital admissions and returned to pre-pandemic levels one month after COVID-19 care ended. Burnout varied by gender, shift and occupation, with nurses among the most vulnerable groups. Focus on early assessment and mitigation strategies are required to support nurses not only during crisis but permanently.

Abstract
AIM This study examines the impact of nurse uniforms, the coronavirus pandemic, and the image of nurses and the nursing profession on the career choice of young Muslim Arab women in nursing, with a focus on policy implications. BACKGROUND The global nursing shortage poses significant challenges, including in Israel. Attracting young Muslim Arab women to nursing careers is vital. Understanding how nurse uniforms, the pandemic, and perceptions of nurses and the nursing profession shape their career decisions can inform policy interventions. METHODS A cross-sectional study utilized digital questionnaires administered to 200 Muslim Arab women aged 20-30 in Israel. The study adhered to the EQUATOR checklist for cross-sectional studies. RESULTS Only 29.2% of participants expressed interest in studying nursing. Findings revealed a positive correlation between the pandemic's impact and intention to pursue nursing. A linear regression analysis shows the impact of the white uniform, the image of nurses, and the image of the profession on the choice of a career in nursing. DISCUSSION The study emphasizes the significance of nurse uniforms, the image of nurses, and the image of the nursing profession in shaping young Muslim Arab women's career choices in nursing. Policy interventions should raise awareness about nursing roles, expand responsibilities, and highlight nurses' contributions to society. CONCLUSION Strategies to attract young Muslim Arab women to nursing careers should address nurse uniforms, the image of nurses, and the image of the nursing profession. IMPLICATIONS FOR POLICY Policy interventions should prioritize diversity, promote positive images of nurses and the nursing profession, and raise awareness of nursing roles and contributions among young Muslim Arab women.

Abstract
AIM To describe healthcare workers' experiences of preconditions and patient safety risks in intensive care units during the COVID-19 pandemic. BACKGROUND Healthcare workers' ability to adapt to changing conditions is crucial to promote patient safety. During the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare workers' capacity to maintain safe care was challenged and a more in-depth understanding on frontline experiences of patient safety is needed. DESIGN A qualitative descriptive design. METHODS Individual interviews were conducted with 29 healthcare workers (nurses, physicians, nurse assistants and physiotherapists) from three Swedish hospitals directly involved in intensive care of COVID-19 patients. Data were analysed with inductive content analysis. Reporting followed the COREQ checklist. RESULTS Three categories were identified. Hazardous changes in working conditions describes patient safety challenges associated with the extreme workload with high stress level. Imperative adaptations induced by changed preconditions for patient safety which include descriptions of safety risks following adaptations related to temporary intensive care facilities, handling shortage of medical equipment and deviations from routines. Safety risks triggered by reorganisation of care describe how the diluted skill-mix and team disruptions exposed patients to safety risks, and that safety performance mostly relied on individual healthcare worker's responsibility. CONCLUSIONS The study suggests that healthcare workers experienced an increase in patient safety risks during the COVID-19 pandemic mainly because the extremely high workload, imperative adaptations, and reorganisation of care regarding skill-mix and teamwork. Patient safety performance relied on the individuals' adaptability and responsibility rather than on system-based safety. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE This study provides insights on how healthcare workers' experiences can be used as a source of information for recognition of patient safety risks. To improve detection of safety risks during future crises, guidelines on how to approach safety from a system perspective must include healthcare workers' perceptions on safety risks. PATIENT AND PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION None in the conceptualisation or design of the study.

Abstract
Introduction This review aimed to compare available evidence examining burnout using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) in nurses before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The specific objective was to compare nurse burnout scores in terms of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. Methods A comprehensive search was conducted for studies on nurses' burnout using the MBI published between 1994 and 2022. In total, 19 studies conducted prior to the pandemic and 16 studies conducted during the pandemic were included and compared using the criteria from the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tool. Results Surprisingly, the results indicated that nurses' burnout scores did not differ significantly before (N = 59,111) and during (N = 18,629) the pandemic. The difference observed was qualitative rather than quantitative. Discussion The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated an already critical situation, and while COVID-19 may serve as an additional triggering factor for staff mental illness, it cannot solely explain the observed burnout levels. These findings underscore the need for long-term clinical and preventive psychological interventions, suggesting that psychological resources should not be limited to emergencies but extended to address the ongoing challenges faced by nurses. Abstract
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To determine the global prevalence of nursing burnout syndrome and time trends for the last 10 years. BACKGROUND The prevalence of burnout syndrome varied greatly in different regions in the last 10 years, so the average prevalence and time trends of nursing burnout syndrome for the last 10 years were not completely clear. DESIGN A meta-analysis conducted in the PRISMA guidelines. METHODS CINAHL, Web of Science, and PubMed were searched for trials on the prevalence of nursing burnout syndrome from 2012 to 2022 systematically. Hoy's quality assessment tool was used to evaluate the risk of bias. The global prevalence of nursing burnout syndrome was estimated, and subgroup analysis was used to explore what caused heterogeneity. Time trends for the last 10 years were evaluated by meta-regression using Stata 11.0. RESULTS Ninety-four studies reporting the prevalence of nursing burnout were included. The global prevalence of nursing burnout was 30.0% [95% CI: 26.0%-34.0%]. Subgroup analysis indicated that the specialty (p < .001) and the region (p < .001) and the year (p < .001) were sources of the high heterogeneity. Meta-regression indicated that it tended to increase gradually for the last 10 years (t = 3.71, p = .006). The trends increased in Europe (t = 4.23, p = .006), Africa (t = 3.75, p = .006) and obstetrics (t = 3.66, p = .015). However, no statistical significance was found in ICU (t = -.14, p = .893), oncology (t = -0.44, p = .691) and emergency department (t = -0.30, p = .783). CONCLUSIONS A significant number of nurses were found to have moderate-high levels of burnout syndrome for the last 10 years. The meta-analysis also indicated an increased trend over time. Therefore, more attention to the prevalence of nursing burnout syndrome is urgently required. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE High prevalence of nursing burnout may attract more attention from the public. This analysis may serve as an impetus for relevant policy to change nurses' working conditions and reduce the occurrence of burnout.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nurse managers play an important role in coordinating the multidisciplinary teamwork, which is specifically important in emergency and crises situations like the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this qualitative study is twofold: (1) to explore the experiences of the Intensive care units (ICU) nurse managers regarding their work during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, and (2) to analyse what implications might be provided based on experiences of nurse managers for future possible epidemiological crises. METHODS In-depth phone interviews were conducted to explore the experiences of ward managers-nurses (n = 15) working in different hospitals across Poland. Interviews were taped and transcribed verbatim, and then qualitatively analysed. RESULTS Three main categories were identified: (1) Challenge of working with the unknown, (2) Nurse managers' expectations, and (3) Methods of coping and received support. The COVID-19 pandemic strongly affected the work of ICU nurse managers and uncovered the malfunctioning of the healthcare system. CONCLUSION It is important to improve the knowledge and competence of hospital management personnel through exercises and in-service training on how to handle emergencies in order to improve the management of healthcare facilities, increase the safety of patients and employees, and the quality of healthcare.

Abstract
Nurses experience high levels of job burnout and low levels of job satisfaction, while the COVID-19 pandemic has deteriorated working conditions. In this context, our aim was to compare levels of job burnout and job satisfaction among nurses and other healthcare workers (HCWs) after the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, we investigated the influence of demographics and job characteristics on burnout and satisfaction. We conducted a cross-sectional study with 1760 HCWs during June 2023. We used the single-item burnout measure and the "Job Satisfaction Survey". In our sample, 91.1% of nurses experienced high levels of burnout, while the respective percentage for the other HCWs was 79.9%. Nurses' satisfaction was lower than other HCWs. In particular, 61.0% of nurses experienced low levels of satisfaction, while the respective percentage for the other HCWs was 38.8%. Multivariable analysis identified that nurses, HCWs with an MSc/PhD diploma, shift workers, and those who considered their workplace as understaffed had higher burnout score and lower satisfaction score. Our results showed that the nursing profession was an independent factor of burnout and satisfaction. Several other demographic and job characteristics affected burnout and satisfaction. Policy makers, organizations, and managers should adopt appropriate interventions to improve work conditions.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Healthcare workers (HCWs) caring for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients are at increased risk of being stigmatized, which compromises their individual mental well-being and the quality of care they deliver. Stigma-reduction interventions may (partly) prevent this. However, there is a lack of in-depth understanding of the experiences and underlying causes of COVID-19 stigma among HCWs, which is needed to design such interventions. We conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews to assess COVID-19 stigma among COVID-19 HCWs in Ireland, Nigeria, The Netherlands, Pakistan, and The Philippines. METHODS We used a purposive and snowball sampling to recruit a total of 53 HCWs for online interviews (13 in Ireland; 15 in Nigeria; 6 in The Netherlands; 6 in Pakistan; and 13 in The Philippines (2021). After verbatim transcribing interviews, we used a thematic approach for data analysis. RESULTS In all countries, stigmatization of COVID-19 HCWs is driven by fear of infection and the perception of HCWs being carriers of the disease amplified by them wearing of scrubs and personal protective equipment. There were differences between countries in the way stigma manifested in self- anticipated and experienced stigma like scolding, discrimination, avoidance, (self-) isolation, and exclusion in public, in the community, at work, and in the household. The stigma resulted in feelings of depression, loneliness, isolation, and the desire to quit one's job. DISCUSSION COVID-19 HCWs from all countries experienced all forms of stigmatization related to their work as a COVID-19 frontliner. This affected their mental well-being, which in turn affects job performance and quality of care, there is a high need to develop stigma reduction tools for HCWs.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a flood of-often contradictory-evidence. HCWs had to develop strategies to locate information that supported their work. We investigated the information-seeking of different HCW groups in Germany. METHODS In December 2020, we conducted online surveys on COVID-19 information sources, strategies, assigned trustworthiness, and barriers-and in February 2021, on COVID-19 vaccination information sources. Results were analyzed descriptively; group comparisons were performed using χ2-tests. RESULTS For general COVID-19-related medical information (413 participants), non-physicians most often selected official websites (57%), TV (57%), and e-mail/newsletters (46%) as preferred information sources-physicians chose official websites (63%), e-mail/newsletters (56%), and professional journals (55%). Non-physician HCWs used Facebook/YouTube more frequently. The main barriers were insufficient time and access issues. Non-physicians chose abstracts (66%), videos (45%), and webinars (40%) as preferred information strategy; physicians: overviews with algorithms (66%), abstracts (62%), webinars (48%). Information seeking on COVID-19 vaccination (2700 participants) was quite similar, however, with newspapers being more often used by non-physicians (63%) vs. physician HCWs (70%). CONCLUSION Non-physician HCWs more often consulted public information sources. Employers/institutions should ensure the supply of professional, targeted COVID-19 information for different HCW groups.

Abstract
Innovation is crucial to an effective healthcare system, and nurses are key figures in the innovation process. A potential factor behind innovation in nursing is the creative style of nurses. Creativity is an essential component of innovation. However, the relationship between creative style and innovation is complex and involves many different factors. Among them, given the nature of the nursing profession, we propose emotional regulation, or the ability to effectively manage one's emotions. In this study, we hypothesize that two specific emotion-regulation strategies, positive reappraisal and putting into perspective, play a role in the relationship between nurses' creative style and innovative behaviors. We tested a moderated mediation model using cross-sectional data from 187 nurses working in 3 university hospitals in Bojnord, Iran, in 2019. Our results show that positive reappraisal completely mediates the relationship between creative style and innovative behaviors, while putting into perspective moderates the relationship between positive reappraisal and innovative behaviors. These results suggest that nurses with a flair for creativity may be able to implement innovative behaviors in the workplace due to their ability to understand work-related situations and events positively. This may be especially true for nurses who can adopt alternative viewpoints. Our study discusses these findings by highlighting the importance of emotional regulation mechanisms in transforming nurses' creativity into effective innovation. Finally, we provide suggestions for healthcare organizations to promote innovation as an added value in the healthcare environment and services provided.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aimed to evaluate burnout in intensive care unit nurses and describe the relationship between burnout dimensions and sociodemographic and professional variables. METHODS A pilot study was carried out with 29 intensive care nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data were collected using an online questionnaire consisting of a sociodemographic characterization and the Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey. In the comparative statistical analysis, the nonparametric Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used (p < 0.05). RESULTS The Emotional Exhaustion dimension represented an average of 27.9 ± 10.4, and the Personal Fulfillment of 30.8 ± 7.0 was considered high. Regarding Depersonalization, medium-level results (8.1 ± 6.0) were found. There was a prevalence of 41.3% of high levels of burnout. There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison between the three dimensions and sociodemographic and professional variables (p > 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The global results point to high levels of burnout in nurses, with greater expression in the Emotional Exhaustion and Professional Fulfillment domains. There were no differences between groups, demonstrating homogeneity in the team's level of burnout. The incidence of burnout in this study was higher than that identified in other studies carried out in Portugal with health professionals. This pilot study will allow the defining of strategies for reducing burnout and, consequently, a proposed extension of the study to other organization wards.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic and recent global recessions have brought to the forefront of the medical-political discussion the fact that medical resources are finite and have focused a spotlight on fair allocation and prioritization of healthcare resources describe why this review is timely and relevant. RECENT FINDINGS This review presents past and present concepts related to the ethics of resource allocation. Included are discussions regarding the topics of who should determine resource allocation, what types of research require allocation, methods currently in use to determine what resources are appropriate and which should be prioritized.describe the main themes in the literature covered by the article. SUMMARY Models for resource allocation must differentiate between different types of resources, some of which may require early preparation or distribution. Local availability of specific resources, supplies and infrastructure must be taken into consideration during preparation. When planning for long durations of limited resource availability, the limitations of human resilience must also be considered. Preparation also requires information regarding the needs of the specific population at hand (e.g. age distributions, disease prevalence) and societal preferences must be acknowledged within possible limits.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To examine factors associated with promotion of the nursing profession, to the nursing community, other healthcare professionals and the general public, by nurses employed in diverse healthcare settings. BACKGROUND Little is known about the factors that contribute to nurses' involvement in the promotion of the nursing profession. METHODS This cross-sectional study comprises a convenience sample of registered nurses (n = 526) with ≥ 3 months' experience in nursing, who are employed in internal and surgical units, pediatric wards, psychiatric wards or in the community across Israel. Participants completed a self-administered questionnaire addressing socio-demographic, occupational and organizational factors relating to the nursing work environment and to the extent of nurses' involvement in promotion of the nursing profession. Descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multivariate linear regression were performed. RESULTS Nurses in all the surveyed healthcare settings reported relatively low levels of involvement in promotion of the profession, either to the nursing community or to other healthcare professionals and the public. Being a female-nurse was significantly negatively associated with nurses' involvement in promotion of the nursing profession. In contrast, holding a master's degree in nursing, having a managerial role, and working in a supportive organizational nursing work environment were the principal factors associated with positive promotion of the nursing profession. CONCLUSION The extent of nurses' involvement in promotion of the nursing profession mainly depends on occupational factors and a supportive organizational nursing work environment. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Healthcare managers may advance nurses' involvement in promotion of the profession by modifying the organizational nursing work environment. Specifically, we recommend nurse leaders to dedicate efforts to make professional promotion an integral part of a nurse's role.

Abstract
Municipal home-healthcare services are becoming increasingly important as growing numbers of people are receiving healthcare services in their home. The COVID-19 pandemic represented a challenge for this group, both in terms of care providers being restricted in performing their duties and care receivers declining services for fear of being infected. Furthermore, preparedness plans were not always in place. The purpose of this study is to investigate the consequences for recipients of home healthcare in Norway of the actual level of COVID-19 infection spread in the local population, as observed by licensed nurses working in home-healthcare services. Approximately 2100 nurses answered the survey. The most common adverse consequences for home-healthcare recipients were increased isolation and loneliness, increased health concerns, and the loss of respite care services. An increased burden for relatives/next of kin and fewer physical meetings with service providers were frequently observed and reported as well. This study shows that there were more adverse consequences for service users in municipalities with higher levels of contagion than in those with lower levels of contagion. This indicates that the municipalities adapted measures to the local rate of contagion, in line with local municipal preparedness strategies.

Burnout Levels in Italian Nurses during the First and the Second Wave in the COVID-19 Outbreak: A Pilot Cohort-Data Comparison. PSYCH 2022. Abstract
(1) Background: Nurses show higher psychological distress associated with physical difficulties during the COVID-19 outbreak. To compare burnout levels among nurses engaged in the front line of patients with COVID-19 during the first wave and the second wave of the pandemic. (2) Methods: Two cohort online surveys were conducted thanks to the Google Modules function: the first one was administered from March 2020 to April 2020 and the second survey, which included the same questionnaire, was administered from September 2020 to October 2020. (3) Results: There were significant differences in the emotional exhaustion sub dimension (p < 0.001): The first wave group recorded higher levels than the second wave one. While, as regards to the values of the dimension of the depersonalization, the second wave group reported significantly higher values than the first wave group (p = 0.006). No significant difference was recorded for the personal accomplishment sub dimension (p = 0.108). By considering the gender variable, significant difference was reported in personal accomplishment sub dimension, as during the second wave, females recorded lower levels in personal accomplishment while males reported significantly higher levels in the same sub dimension than the first wave (p = 0.012); while no statistically significant differences were reported in burnout sub dimensions during the first and the second waves according to years of work experience. (4) Conclusions: The COVID-19 pandemic represents an important provocation for nurses all around the world and, at the same time, constitutes a learning lesson to improve better approaches for the subsequent waves. Several interventions could be introduced to moderate the mental health influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on nurses.
