Abstract
Background: Campus behavioral intervention teams (BITs) provide early identification of students and/or situations that may be a risk to the community, as well as determine and implement intervention plans for a safe resolution. Methods: An evaluation of 529 faculty and staff was conducted at a large urban, southeastern research university to assess BIT knowledge, triggers for referral, referral self-efficacy, referrals, and satisfaction regarding said university's BIT (Students of Concern Assistance Team, otherwise known as SOCAT). Results: Findings revealed low levels of knowledge, self-efficacy, and referrals among faculty and staff. Utilization of SOCAT resulted in high levels of satisfaction among the process and follow-up outcomes. Discussion: Findings from this study will guide future implementation by highlighting strategies to enhance the referrals to and utility of BITs on college campuses and identifying best practices in improving faculty and staff satisfaction with the referral system process for BITs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Ozenoxacin is a new antibiotic used to treat non-bullous impetigo. The aim of this study is to evaluate the microbiological and clinical efficacy of topical ozenoxacin 1% cream after 5-day twice-daily treatment, in pediatric patients with impetigo. PATIENTS AND METHODS This observational and prospective study included patients aged 6 months to 18 years, with non-bullous impetigo. Efficacy was measured using the Skin Infection Rating Scale (SIRS) and microbiological culture at the first visit (T0), at the second visit after 72 hours (T1) and after 5 days (T2). Safety and tolerability were also evaluated. RESULTS A total of 50 patients was enrolled. A reduction of SIRS score >10% after 72 hours of treatment was noticed in all patients, while a complete reduction was assessed after 5 days in all the population. Microbiologic success rates for ozenoxacin at T1 was 92% (four patients had original pathogens in the specimen culture from the skin area), whereas at T2, it was 100%. CONCLUSIONS Topical ozenoxacin has strong efficacy in treating impetigo in pediatric patients. Ozenoxacin's clinical and microbiological rapid onset of response led to consider this antibiotic a novel efficacy option for the treatment of impetigo.

Abstract
Poor mental well-being has been associated with negative student success outcomes among college students. Health and wellness coaching programs have been implemented in college campuses to address gaps in well-being support services. This pilot study evaluated a health and wellness coaching program at a large, urban university. A total of 499 students expressed interest in the program with 120 responding to a retrospective survey about their experience. Findings revealed that most students attended coaching for issues related to time and stress management or factors that commonly influence stress. Overall, students who participated in coaching were successful at improving their self-efficacy toward behavior change, changing their behavior, and achieving their goals. Students reported attending an average of four sessions with number of sessions attended being associated with increased confidence and motivation. In addition, autonomy, competence, and relatedness felt within the relationship with the coach were correlated with increased motivation, confidence, and readiness for behavior change. There was some relapse in terms of goal attainment observed with 17.4% of students who met their goals being unable to maintain progress. The program participants appeared to have enjoyed the process with 96% of students saying they would recommend the program to a friend. Health and wellness coaching programs may alleviate the burden of stress and other subclinical mental health concerns as well as decrease the number of students requiring services from more intensive mental health resources on campus.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To estimate whether leaving a high facial ridge during canal wall down tympanoplasty increases the risk of residual cholesteatoma. METHODS In this retrospective case review, 321 patients treated with primary canal wall down tympanoplasty for middle-ear cholesteatoma were divided into a completely lowered facial ridge group and a non-completely lowered facial ridge group. Factors affecting facial ridge management, residual disease rate and disease-free survival were analysed. RESULTS Residual disease rates were 10.8 per cent in the non-completely lowered facial ridge group and 16.6 per cent in the completely lowered facial ridge group (p = 0.15). Localisation at sinus tympani, mesotympanum or supratubal recess, pre-operative extracranial complications, and destroyed ossicular chain or fixed platina were associated with a completely lowered facial ridge. Residual disease rates and disease-free survival did not significantly differ between the groups. CONCLUSION Facial ridge can be managed according to cholesteatoma extension. The facial ridge can be maintained high if the cholesteatoma does not involve sinus tympani, mesotympanum or supratubal recess, without increasing the risk of residual disease.

Abstract
Compared to youth a decade ago, today's youth experience increased rates of mental health concerns as well as greater severity of mental health issues. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, over a third of youth reported feeling sad and hopeless and one in five reported having seriously considered suicide. With this grim reality, schools and communities are no longer able to ignore how mental health affects the daily lives, social and emotional development, and identify formation of their youth. When schools implement mental health promotion programs and policies, they not only promote academic success but also increase protective factors that establish an environment supportive of help-seeking behaviors. Active Minds is committed to improving mental health outcomes for youth, specifically LGBTQIA2S+ students, enrolled in K-12 schools across the United States. These recommendations, grounded in evidence-based best practices, provide support for schools as they work to improve student mental health. These recommendations include the following:Implementing the Whole School, Whole Child, Whole Community (WSCC) model;Centering youth voices in mental health promotion;Participating in surveillance efforts;Ensuring mental health support for students with diverse identities and needs;Providing space to address individual biases and stigma;Developing and aligning policies and culture to support youth mental health.

Abstract
Objective: During COVID-19, many colleges offered mental health services to their students through telehealth or through a combination of telehealth and in-person (hereby hybrid) services. This study examines the experiences and perceptions among students who received telehealth, hybrid, or in-person services. Participants: Data was collected from the Healthy Minds Survey, a national survey of college students, during Fall 2020 and Spring/Winter 2021 (n = 13,976). Methods: Chi-square and Kruskal-Wallis H tests were conducted to examine how students who received campus mental health services through different modes of delivery differed in reported barriers to care, satisfaction with care, and perceived support. Results: Students receiving in-person services differed from students receiving telehealth or hybrid services on multiple metrics. For example, they were less likely to be satisfied with the quality of therapists or the ability to schedule appointments without long delays. However, effect sizes were small. Conclusion: There may be unique strengths to telehealth and hybrid services.

Abstract
Although the number of students receiving care from college counseling centers has increased, engaging male college students to seek help presents a unique challenge. This qualitative study explored mental health literacy and help-seeking behaviors among undergraduate college men. Semi-structured interviews (n = 26) based on three vignettes (anxiety, depression, stress) were employed to assess mental health literacy. Analysis revealed three general themes and associated sub-themes: (a) knowledge of signs and symptoms (physiological, behavioral, and emotional); (b) recommended help-seeking behaviors (do nothing, self-care, seek help); and (c) barriers to help-seeking (social stigma, self-stigma, masculinity). Findings present a triadic interplay between the person, help-seeking behavior, and environment. Future research should explore this dynamic relationship to inform interventions aimed at improving college male mental health help-seeking behavior.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This review aimed to evaluate and summarize the current knowledge about the non-pharmacological neurological stimulation (NPNS) in patients with severe brain injuries (SBI). The approaches we analyzed included sensory stimulation, music therapy, virtual reality, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). MATERIALS AND METHODS We performed a review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) standards. The key words used for the search across electronic databases such as PubMed and the Cochrane Library were "brain injury" or "coma" or "vegetative state" and "neurological stimulation" or "sensory stimulation" or "music therapy" or "virtual reality" or "transcranial direct current stimulation" or "transcranial magnetic stimulation". RESULTS 38 studies matched the inclusion criteria. These articles were categorized into five clusters: sensory stimulation, music therapy, virtual reality, transcranial direct current stimulation and transcranial magnetic stimulation. Hence, a concise summary of each study was made up, including study population characteristics, type of non-pharmacological neurological stimulation, neurological clinical outcomes or neuroimaging outcomes. CONCLUSIONS Overall, all the non-pharmacological approaches to neurological stimulation in patients with SBI seem to be innovative and promising. Further randomized clinical trials, including a wide range of patients, will be necessary to definitely validate these methods and develop standardized protocols shared in the scientific community.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Pupillometry has been used to assess pain intensity and response to analgesic drugs in adults. The aim of this study was to verify the usefulness and effectiveness of the pupillometer to assess pain and depth of sedation in pediatric patients undergoing painful procedures and to optimize pain management by observing pupillary variations induced by opioids. PATIENTS AND METHODS This is a prospective, monocentric study conducted in the sedation room of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Fondazione Policlinico A. Gemelli in Rome. A population of 22 pediatric patients who underwent painful procedures was enrolled. Eleven children were sedated by opioid drugs. Heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, bispectral index, maximum pupil size (Size), pupil change (CH), Neurological Pupil Index (NPi) were collected over four times: before starting the procedure; before the painful stimulus (when the patient was sedated); when the painful stimulus was applied; at the end of the procedure. A NeurOptics NPi-200 pupillometer was used for the study. RESULTS Statistical significance in the variation of haemodynamic parameters was less significant than the variation obtained by analyzing the pupillary parameters: a significant change in NPi and CH in the transition from wakefulness to sedation and from the application of the painful stimulus to awakening was found in both study populations, patients who have received opioids and patients who have not received opioids. Changes in the mean CH of the pupil diameter correlate with the depth of sedation, and the size values vary in relation to the administration of opioids. CONCLUSIONS Our findings highlight the potential role of pupillometry as a non-invasive method to objectively quantitate pain response in children to reach an efficient analgesic approach.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION In breast surgery, an autologous flap combined with implant may reduce the risk or repair the soft-tissue defects in several cases. Traditionally, the preferred flap is the myocutaneous latissimus dorsi (LD) flap. In the perforator flap era, the evolution of LD flap is the thoracodorsal artery perforator (TDAP) flap. The aim of this study is the comparison between LD flap and TDAP flap with implants in terms of early complications and shoulder function. METHODS We performed a retrospective cohort study in accordance with the STROBE guidelines. Between January 1 2015 and January 1 2020, 27 women underwent a unilateral total breast reconstruction with LD or TDAP flap combined with an implant at our institution. 15 women were operated with LD flap and 12 with TDAP flap. The most frequent indications for intervention were results of mastectomy and radiation-induced contracture. We evaluated several data in terms of clinical and demographical characteristics, operative and perioperative factors, and follow-up variables. We assessed shoulder function through the Disability of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand Questionnaire (DASH). RESULTS The rate of complications was significantly lower in the TDAP group compared with the LD group (16.7% vs 60.0%, p = 0.047. Table 3). Although the small sample size limited further detailed statistical analyses, we particularly noticed no cases of donor site seroma in the TDAP group, as compared with four in the LD group. Patients in the TDAP group had an ∼11-point lower mean DASH score compared with the LD group (9.8 vs 20.5). This difference was statistically significant (p = 0.049). CONCLUSIONS TDAP flap seems to be a reliable technique for soft-tissue coverage in total breast reconstruction with implants. In comparison with the traditional LD flap, it could be a more favorable option in terms of less complications and better quality of life.

Abstract
We report a case of spontaneous pneumomediastinum, pneumothorax, emphysema subcutaneous and pneumorrhachis, occurring in an adolescent resulting positive to SARS-CoV-2 nasopharyngeal swab. At the admission in Emergency Department, the child presented with left cervical and sternal pain, without respiratory symptoms. Radiological studies showed sizeable pneumomediastinum, bilateral apical pneumothorax, massive emphysema subcutaneous and pneumorrhachis. Patients' clinical conditions stood stable during the monitoring and he only needed conservative management. To our knowledge, this is the first description of spontaneous pneumomediastinum, pneumothorax, emphysema subcutaneous and pneumorrhachis, in a COVID-19 adolescent without concomitant pneumonia.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE A computerized system of telephone consultation has been experimented at the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) of Policlinico Gemelli Hospital in Rome during the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty monothematic items with a series of questions to evaluate child's clinical conditions have been set up in order to evaluate the different situations according to their severity. All items were highlighted according to conventional scores corresponding to the different answers (yes/no) given by the child's parents. This system has been implemented with large diffusion of computer programs and applications by the availability of a computer station in every ED room. RESULTS The system allows healthcare workers to establish the medical check-up urgency which may be immediate, within the next 24 hours or scheduled in the pediatric ward. Therefore, it has been implemented a telephone triage consultation with a standardized method. CONCLUSIONS Telephone consultation during outbreaks, considering the risks of contagion, allows healthcare workers to decrease the concern of families and to reduce indiscriminate access to ED. The remote approach will not solve logistic and setting problems related to COVID-19 outbreak17, but it would be a valid tool to improve medical evaluation without deep change in infrastructure and clinical organization.

Abstract
To investigate the prognostic significance of the stratification of extranodal extension (ENE) into ENE minor (ENEmi, up to 2mm) and ENE major (ENEma, over 2mm) in non-HPV-related squamous cell cancers of the head and neck, we retrospectively reviewed microscopic slides from neck dissection specimens of ENE-positive patients and subcategorised them into ENEmi and ENEma. We then compared the two groups in terms of overall survival (OS), disease-specific survival (DSS), and disease-free survival (DFS). Forty-four patients with pathologically positive necks had ENE in the histological report. Twenty-six had ENEmi and 18 ENEma. The three-year OS was 46% in the ENEmi group and 38.9% in the ENEma group. DSS and DFS were 80.8% and 80.8%, respectively, in the ENEmi group and 61.1% and 77.8%, respectively, in the ENEma group. None of the comparisons revealed any statistically significant difference. The results of our survival analysis seem to show a trend towards better survival rates in the ENEmi group, particularly regarding OS. Nonetheless, extension of the tumour outside the lymph node capsule by more than 2mm was not found to be significantly associated with any of the explored survival outcomes.

Abstract
The study aims to evaluate the enforcement, opinions, and effectiveness of the University of South Florida's tobacco free policy one year following implementation. By assessing readiness to change and using geographic information system (GIS) mapping this study sought to introduce a unique and effective way of evaluating college tobacco free policies. A cross-sectional survey was administered to students, faculty, and staff to assess knowledge of policy and resources, tobacco use observations, stage change regarding policy enforcement, self-efficacy to enforce, and policy impact on perceived campus tobacco use (n = 5242). Additionally, using ArcGIS Collector (in: ESRI, ArcGIS desktop: release 10, Environmental Systems Research Institute, Redlands, 2011) volunteers collected geospatial data on tobacco use continuing to occur on campus following policy implementation. Overall there was moderate knowledge of the current policy and low beliefs for policy enforcement. Majority of respondents were not approaching violators to remind them of the policy and did not plan to do so in the future. There were statistically significant differences between smokers and non-smokers as well as between students and faculty and staff. The mapping of observed violations revealed continued tobacco use on campus with 158 data points. From both the geospatial results as well as the survey findings, the current policy is ineffective in reducing tobacco use across campus. With rapidly increasing numbers of smoke and tobacco free universities, new and innovative evaluation tools are needed so institution leaders can efficiently evaluate their implementation.

Abstract
Associations between Hormonal Contraception (HC) and Depression have been previously reported, and indicate increased risk to younger women. These relationships need be explored and expanded to include measures of impact on Academic Performance (AP). Data was acquired from the National College Health Assessment (NCHA), administered from Fall 2008 to Spring 2015 across 370 schools nationwide. The most popular HC method was oral, followed by an IUD, and vaginal ring. HC use increased across all ages groups 18-29, and then decreased in the 30-34 age group. HC use significantly increased the odds of ever being diagnosed with depression in all age groups. HC use was found to have significantly increased odds of reporting AP issues in the 18-19 age group and to have significantly decreased odds of reporting AP issues in the 25-29 age group. Adding depression as a moderator, HC use continued to significantly increase the odds of AP issues. Women and their providers should balance the risks and benefits of initiating HC. Specifically, younger women, and be advised of the risks that HC presents in terms of a potential association with depression. Efforts to develop standardized protocols for discussing the risk-benefits for HC therapy should be pursued.

Abstract
Considered a public health issue, the prevalence and severity of poor mental well-being on college campuses has continued to rise. While many college campuses offer mental health counseling services, and utilization rates are increasing, their proportional usage is low especially among males, who often deal with poor mental well-being by adopting unhealthy coping strategies. The purpose of this study was to use the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills (IMB) model to assess the relationship between the determinants as factors that may impact help-seeking behaviors in a large sample (n = 1,242) of male college students. Employing a cross-sectional study design, a 71-item online survey assessed information via total mental health literacy (MHL), motivation via attitudes toward mental health and subjective norms regarding mental health, and behavioral skills via intentions regarding help-seeking behaviors, and stigma. Results revealed correlations between information and motivation (r = .363, p < .01), information and behavioral skills (r = .166, p < .01), and motivation and behavioral skills (r = .399, p < .01). Multiple regression was used to determine stigma is a mediator for all relationships. These findings represent an opportunity to take a public health approach to male mental health through developing multilayered interventions that address information, motivation, behavioral skills, and stigma.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Mental health literacy (MHL) is low in college-aged men potentially resulting in impaired mental wellbeing. This study assessed MHL, psychosocial determinants, and help-seeking behaviors among male university students. PARTICIPANTS Male undergraduate and graduate students were surveyed in Spring 2017 (n = 1,242) at a large southeastern university in the United States. METHODS Preexisting validated scales for MHL, psychosocial determinants, and help-seeking intention were used in measurement and demographic variables were collected. T-tests and one-way ANOVA were performed to measure differences between groups. RESULTS Participants showed low scores for all constructs with statistically significant differences between undergraduate and graduate students, as well as between races and major classifications. Undergraduate men had moderate MHL and low intentions to seek professional care. CONCLUSIONS Interventions focusing on increasing mental health knowledge and improving beliefs can improve MHL among male college students. Further, interventions should be tailored for racial groups and major classifications.

Abstract
Nocturnal enuresis (NE) is a common disorder in childhood and desmopressin is one of the most widely and well-tolerated medications for NE. The recent oral lyophilisate formulation of desmopressin (MELT) is effective in the treatment of NE in children and nocturia in adults. A MEDLINE literature search MEDLINE (2000-July 2017) was performed using the search terms MELT enuresis, MELT desmopressin, sublingual desmopressin, lyophilisate desmopressin. Twenty articles were analyzed with a number of patients of 3448. In 12 articles were reported 1275 pediatric patients (<18 years old), and in 8 articles 2213 adult patients. In pediatric population the indication was enuresis in 1269 patients and central diabetes insipidus in 6 patients. In adult population the indication was nocturia in 1941 patients, renal colic in 259 patients, healthy volunteers 13 patients. In 17 studies desmopressin was administered alone while in 3 studies in association respectively with Tolterodina, Ketorolac and Tamsulosin. In 7 studies were reported side effects in only 81 patients, 60 in pediatric population and 21 in adult population. The reported side effects in pediatric population were nausea, lethargy, lower limb weakness, headache, diarrhea, viral gastroenteritis. The reported side effects in adult population were asymptomatic hyponatriemia, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, symptomatic hyponatriemia. Our review confirm that the MELT formulation of desmopressin guarantee the same response of other formulations with a lower doses and a lowest number of side effects. We believe according with the literature that this formulation is actually the first line and safety treatment for nocturnal enuresis and nocturia.

Abstract
Although children born with perinatally acquired HIV (PHIV) are now living into adulthood, little is known about their transition into the workforce and the ways they develop career aspirations. In this phenomenological study, 35 youth with PHIV (mean age 20.7) completed semistructured interviews regarding their career aspirations which were transcribed and coded for emergent themes using grounded theory. Approximately half of the participants were employed at the time of the interview. Sixteen participants aspired to work in helping professions. Others sought employment in the arts or business sector. Participants indicated that parents/guardians and medical providers were generally supportive of their career interests. Providers and social workers often helped them find jobs and construct resumes. Thirteen participants indicated that their HIV status had little impact on their career aspirations. Others believed HIV-related challenges related to transmission, physical difficulties, and emotional turmoil limited their ability to pursue certain careers. Several felt inspired to fight against HIV-related stigma/discrimination. It is important to encourage youth with PHIV to prepare for their future by routinely holding conversations regarding their career goals.

Abstract
On September 14, 2015, a gravitational wave signal from a coalescing black hole binary system was observed by the Advanced LIGO detectors. This paper describes the transient noise backgrounds used to determine the significance of the event (designated GW150914) and presents the results of investigations into potential correlated or uncorrelated sources of transient noise in the detectors around the time of the event. The detectors were operating nominally at the time of GW150914. We have ruled out environmental influences and non-Gaussian instrument noise at either LIGO detector as the cause of the observed gravitational wave signal.

Abstract
On September 14, 2015, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) detected a gravitational-wave transient (GW150914); we characterize the properties of the source and its parameters. The data around the time of the event were analyzed coherently across the LIGO network using a suite of accurate waveform models that describe gravitational waves from a compact binary system in general relativity. GW150914 was produced by a nearly equal mass binary black hole of masses 36_{-4}^{+5}M_{⊙} and 29_{-4}^{+4}M_{⊙}; for each parameter we report the median value and the range of the 90% credible interval. The dimensionless spin magnitude of the more massive black hole is bound to be <0.7 (at 90% probability). The luminosity distance to the source is 410_{-180}^{+160} Mpc, corresponding to a redshift 0.09_{-0.04}^{+0.03} assuming standard cosmology. The source location is constrained to an annulus section of 610 deg^{2}, primarily in the southern hemisphere. The binary merges into a black hole of mass 62_{-4}^{+4}M_{⊙} and spin 0.67_{-0.07}^{+0.05}. This black hole is significantly more massive than any other inferred from electromagnetic observations in the stellar-mass regime.

Abstract
The LIGO detection of GW150914 provides an unprecedented opportunity to study the two-body motion of a compact-object binary in the large-velocity, highly nonlinear regime, and to witness the final merger of the binary and the excitation of uniquely relativistic modes of the gravitational field. We carry out several investigations to determine whether GW150914 is consistent with a binary black-hole merger in general relativity. We find that the final remnant's mass and spin, as determined from the low-frequency (inspiral) and high-frequency (postinspiral) phases of the signal, are mutually consistent with the binary black-hole solution in general relativity. Furthermore, the data following the peak of GW150914 are consistent with the least-damped quasinormal mode inferred from the mass and spin of the remnant black hole. By using waveform models that allow for parametrized general-relativity violations during the inspiral and merger phases, we perform quantitative tests on the gravitational-wave phase in the dynamical regime and we determine the first empirical bounds on several high-order post-Newtonian coefficients. We constrain the graviton Compton wavelength, assuming that gravitons are dispersed in vacuum in the same way as particles with mass, obtaining a 90%-confidence lower bound of 10^{13} km. In conclusion, within our statistical uncertainties, we find no evidence for violations of general relativity in the genuinely strong-field regime of gravity.

Abstract
The LIGO detection of the gravitational wave transient GW150914, from the inspiral and merger of two black holes with masses ≳30M_{⊙}, suggests a population of binary black holes with relatively high mass. This observation implies that the stochastic gravitational-wave background from binary black holes, created from the incoherent superposition of all the merging binaries in the Universe, could be higher than previously expected. Using the properties of GW150914, we estimate the energy density of such a background from binary black holes. In the most sensitive part of the Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo band for stochastic backgrounds (near 25 Hz), we predict Ω_{GW}(f=25 Hz)=1.1_{-0.9}^{+2.7}×10^{-9} with 90% confidence. This prediction is robustly demonstrated for a variety of formation scenarios with different parameters. The differences between models are small compared to the statistical uncertainty arising from the currently poorly constrained local coalescence rate. We conclude that this background is potentially measurable by the Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo detectors operating at their projected final sensitivity.

Abstract
Following a major upgrade, the two advanced detectors of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) held their first observation run between September 2015 and January 2016. With a strain sensitivity of 10^{-23}/sqrt[Hz] at 100 Hz, the product of observable volume and measurement time exceeded that of all previous runs within the first 16 days of coincident observation. On September 14, 2015, the Advanced LIGO detectors observed a transient gravitational-wave signal determined to be the coalescence of two black holes [B. P. Abbott et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 116, 061102 (2016)], launching the era of gravitational-wave astronomy. The event, GW150914, was observed with a combined signal-to-noise ratio of 24 in coincidence by the two detectors. Here, we present the main features of the detectors that enabled this observation. At full sensitivity, the Advanced LIGO detectors are designed to deliver another factor of 3 improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio for binary black hole systems similar in mass to GW150914.

Abstract
On September 14, 2015 at 09:50:45 UTC the two detectors of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory simultaneously observed a transient gravitational-wave signal. The signal sweeps upwards in frequency from 35 to 250 Hz with a peak gravitational-wave strain of 1.0×10(-21). It matches the waveform predicted by general relativity for the inspiral and merger of a pair of black holes and the ringdown of the resulting single black hole. The signal was observed with a matched-filter signal-to-noise ratio of 24 and a false alarm rate estimated to be less than 1 event per 203,000 years, equivalent to a significance greater than 5.1σ. The source lies at a luminosity distance of 410(-180)(+160) Mpc corresponding to a redshift z=0.09(-0.04)(+0.03). In the source frame, the initial black hole masses are 36(-4)(+5)M⊙ and 29(-4)(+4)M⊙, and the final black hole mass is 62(-4)(+4)M⊙, with 3.0(-0.5)(+0.5)M⊙c(2) radiated in gravitational waves. All uncertainties define 90% credible intervals. These observations demonstrate the existence of binary stellar-mass black hole systems. This is the first direct detection of gravitational waves and the first observation of a binary black hole merger.

Abstract
We present a possible observing scenario for the Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo gravitational-wave detectors over the next decade, with the intention of providing information to the astronomy community to facilitate planning for multi-messenger astronomy with gravitational waves. We determine the expected sensitivity of the network to transient gravitational-wave signals, and study the capability of the network to determine the sky location of the source. We report our findings for gravitational-wave transients, with particular focus on gravitational-wave signals from the inspiral of binary neutron-star systems, which are considered the most promising for multi-messenger astronomy. The ability to localize the sources of the detected signals depends on the geographical distribution of the detectors and their relative sensitivity, and 90% credible regions can be as large as thousands of square degrees when only two sensitive detectors are operational. Determining the sky position of a significant fraction of detected signals to areas of 5 deg2 to 20 deg2 will require at least three detectors of sensitivity within a factor of ∼ 2 of each other and with a broad frequency bandwidth. Should the third LIGO detector be relocated to India as expected, a significant fraction of gravitational-wave signals will be localized to a few square degrees by gravitational-wave observations alone.

Abstract
This paper describes the results of an interview study investigating facilitators and barriers to adoption of patient portals among low-income, older adults in rural and urban populations in the southeastern United States. We describe attitudes of this population of older adults and their current level of technology use and patient portal use. From qualitative analysis of 36 patient interviews and 16 caregiver interviews within these communities, we derive themes related to benefits of portals, barriers to use, concerns and desired features. Based on our initial findings, we present a set of considerations for designing the patient portal user experience, aimed at helping healthcare clinics to meet U.S. federally-mandated 'meaningful use' requirements.

Abstract
PURPOSE We evaluated whether the addition of delayed phase imaging (DPI) gadobenate dimeglumine-enhanced MRI to dynamic postcontrast imaging improves the characterization of small hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the differentiation between HCC, high grade dysplastic nodules (HGDN), and low grade dysplastic nodules (LGDN). METHODS Twenty-five cirrhotic patients with 30 nodules (16 HCC, 8 HGDNs, and 6 LGDNs; maximum size of 3 cm) were included in this retrospective study. The diagnostic reference standard was histology. All the patients underwent MRI both prior to and following intravenous administration of gadobenate dimeglumine. The lesions were classified as hypointense, isointense, hyperintense on DPI for qualitative assessment. In the quantitative analysis the relative tumor-liver contrast to noise ratio (CNR) of the lesions on DPI was calculated. RESULTS All HCCs were hypointense on DPI while only 8 (57.1%) of 14 DNs were hypointense and only 1 of 6 (16.6%) LGDNs was hypointense. There was a statistically significant difference in the hypointensity on DPI between HCCs and DNs (p = 0.003) in the qualitative analysis but not in the CNR values while there was a strong statistically significant difference in the hypointensity on DPI in the qualitative (p = 0.00001) and quantitative analysis (p < 0.05) between LGDNs and the group obtained by unifying HGDNs and HCCs. CONCLUSION DPI is helpful in differentiating HCCs and HGDNs from LGDNs. Demonstration of hypointensity on DPI should raise the suspicion of HGDN or hypovascular HCC in the case of nodules with atypical dynamic pattern.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nocturnal enuresis (NE) is a very common pediatric disorder. The aim of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of patients with NE or urinary incontinence (UI) during a period of 5 years to increase the knowledge on these conditions and optimize their diagnosis and treatment. METHODS We enrolled 278 children with NE or UI referred to the pediatric nephrology ambulatory, 'A. Gemelli' University Hospital of Rome, from December 2006 to December 2011. RESULTS We observed that heredity, parasomnias, left-handedness, polythelia and constipation are correlated to NE and UI. CONCLUSIONS We wanted to clarify the definition of NE and UI and describe our experience on the main characteristics of these conditions by referring to the latest knowledge reported in the literature.

Abstract
Center-launching technique appears as a promising method to allow single-mode propagation in multi-mode fibers, guaranteeing full transparency to the transmitted optical signal also for applications in board-to-board and data server interconnects. In this paper we show that this technique is robust to mechanical perturbations up to about 1 kHz, demonstrating that the vibrations do not affect the transmission performances. Different experimental configurations are tested in order to exclude multimode propagation and to confirm the only fundamental mode propagation. Finally, a theoretical discussion comments the experimental results.

Abstract
Rates of HIV infection among adolescents in the US continues to rise, resulting in more individuals who must eventually transition from pediatric to adult care. It is critical that this process go smoothly to ensure continuity of care and to maximize patient outcomes. While research has examined youths' experiences with the transition process, disease-specific indicators of successful transition from pediatric to adult care remain undefined. Identifying indicators will facilitate the evaluation of transition processes, and, ultimately, the empirical determination of best practices. Interviews were conducted with 19 professionals who provide care for children and adults with HIV in southeastern state in the US. Approximately half of the providers self-identified as pediatric care providers. Nine of those interviewed were nurses and physicians and 10 were social workers. Providers had been working in the field of HIV for an average of 11.2 years. Interviews were taped, transcribed, and coded for emergent themes. Providers who care for HIV-infected youth identified both behavior and seriologic indicators of succesful transitions. Behavioral indicators identified were keeping appointments, medication adherence, and demonstrating ownership of medical care. Providers also identified serological markers of a succesful transition, specifically,viral load and CD4 count. Findings provided valuable insight into the perspectives of infectious disease care providers on indicators of successful transition from pediatric to adult care for adolescents with HIV. This is an important first step in developing empirical evaluation measures for transition practices and models. Similar research should be conducted with other groups of providers to assess the generalizability of these findings. Additionally, future research should seek to operationalize the identified behavioral indicators and determine appropriate values to indicate success for all indicators.

Abstract
Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome (WHS) is a chromosomal disorder characterized by partial deletion of the short arm of chromosome 4. We describe a girl with a de novo unbalanced traslocation t(4;7)(p16.2;p22), associated with a mild version of a classical WHS phenotype. She did not present major urinary tract abnormalities but had parenchymal hyperechogenicity at renal ultrasound at the birth with normal renal scintigraphy. She had also a reduction of GFR with elevated levels of blood urea nitrogen and serum potassium until the age of 6 months. We followed the patient with periodic clinical examination and laboratory and radiological investigations and observed at the age of 5 years a normal renal ultrasound without parenchymal hyperechogenicity.

Abstract
Malignant tumours of the upper gum and hard palate account for 1-5% of malignant neoplasms of the oral cavity; two thirds of the lesions which involve these areas are squamous cell carcinomas. Most of these carcinomas are diagnosed late, when they invade the underlying bone. The procedures of choice for removal are: alveolectomy, palatectomy, maxillectomy, which may be total or partial. Surgical reconstruction of the defect may be carried out using a wide range of microvascularized flaps: osteomuscolocutaneous of the internal iliac crest, an osteocutaneous flap of the fibula or scapula, fascia, or osteocutaneous radial flap, or a pedicled flap of temporal muscle. These flaps are supported by single or multiple obturator prostheses. Rehabilitation via palatal obturators is preferred in patients with a poor prognosis or in weak condition. Rehabilitation aims to: restore the separation between the oral and nasal cavities, enable the patient to swallow, maintain or provide mastication, sufficient occlusion and mandibular support, support the soft facial tissues, re-establish speech and restore an aesthetically pleasing smile. Hence, it is crucial to work in close cooperation with the staff who makes the prosthesis and who evaluates the case when the surgery is planned and obtains the necessary gnatological, anatomical and functional information. Thereafter, during the surgical stage, for the immediate obturators, or in the successive days, for the temporary obturators, work is devoted to making the prostheses. In this regard, the Odonto-prostheses Service of the Stomatological Clinic does not follow a rigid protocol but materials and techniques are selected on a personal basis, according to the features of each individual clinical case. Mobile rehabilitative systems are the systems of choice, both of which related to the traditional concepts of retention and stability and systems of self-stabilizing prostheses according to J. Dichamp, albeit modified in materials, limiting, when possible the use of prostheses which are fixed on natural teeth, on appliances or combined.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In this study we examined whether it was possible following preoperative parameters statistically significant correlation with the presence of metastatic lymph nodes in the papillary thyroid carcinoma. We conducted a retrospective study in a group of patients with a preoperative diagnosis of papillary carcinoma who underwent total thyroidectomy associated with routine lymphadenectomy of the central compartment (level VI). PATIENTS AND METHODS The study group consisted of patients whose definitive histological lymph node examination was positive for metastasis (N1), and the control group comprised patients found negative for metastasis (N0). RESULTS Tumour diameter had a significance at 10% level [Pr(>|z|): 0.056], thus indicating that increased tumour size results in a higher probability of being in group N1. The logistic regression revealed that variables with a significance at 5% level for the presence of metastatic lymph nodes in the central compartment (N1) were: sex [Pr(>|z|): 0.019], overall patient age [Pr(>|z|): 0.012] and age >45 [Pr(>|z|): 0.022]. We performed a statistical analysis with the association of three preoperative variables (presence of ultrasound-revealed microcalcifications, presence of solid hypoechogenic nodule and type III vascularisation on echocolour-Doppler); this was found to result in a highly significant probability of entering into group N1. CONCLUSIONS We found variables statistically significant for the presence of metastatic central compartment lymph nodes, including female sex, age >45 yrs and tumour diameter >1.5 cm. The association of papillary carcinoma with microcalcifications, solid hypoechogenic nodule structure and type III vascularisation on echocolour-Doppler also resulted in a statistically significant increase in the probability of positive level VI lymph nodes.
