Electroosmotic MHD ternary hybrid Jeffery nanofluid flow through a ciliated vertical channel with gyrotactic microorganisms: Entropy generation optimization

In this study, the computational analysis of entropy generation optimization for synthetic cilia regulated ternary hybrid Jeffery nanofluid (Ag-Au-TiO2/PVA) flow through a peristaltic vertical channel with swimming motile Gyrotactic microorganisms is investigated. Understanding the intricate interaction of multiple physical phenomena in biomedical applications is essential for optimizing entropy generation and advancing microfluidic systems. The characteristics of nanofluid are explored for the electroosmotic MHD fluid flow in the presence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion, viscous dissipation, Ohmic heating and chemical reaction. Using the appropriate transformations, a set of ordinary differential equations are created from the governing partial differential equations. The resulting ODEs are numerically solved using the shooting technique using BVP5C in MATLAB after applying the long-wavelength and low Reynolds number approximation. The velocity, temperature, concentration, electroosmosis, and microorganism density profiles are analyzed graphically for different emerging parameters. Graphical investigation of engineering interest quantities like heat transfer rate, mass transfer rate, skin friction coefficient, and entropy generation optimization are also presented. It is observed that the rate of mass transfer increases for increasing thermophoretic parameter, while reverse effect is noted for Brownian motion parameter, Schmidt number, and chemical reaction number. The outcomes of present study can be pertinent in studying Cilia properties of respiratory tract, reproductive system, and brain ventricles.

Modeling of pressure-volume controlled artificial respiration with local derivatives

We attempt to motivate utilization of some local derivatives of arbitrary orders in clinical medicine. For this purpose, we provide two efficient solution methods for various problems that occur in nature by employing the local proportional derivative defined by the proportional derivative (PD) controller. Under some necessary assumptions, a detailed exposition of the instantaneous volume in a lung is furnished by conformable derivative and such modified conformable derivatives as truncated M-derivative and proportional derivative. Moreover, we wish to investigate the performance of the above-mentioned operators in applications by plotting several graphs of the governing equations.

Stability analysis of leishmania epidemic model with harmonic mean type incidence rate

We discussed anthroponotic cutaneous leishmania transmission in this article, due to its large effect on the community in the recent years. The mathematical model is developed for anthroponotic cutaneous leishmania transmission, and its qualitative behavior is taken under consideration. The threshold number R 0 of the model is derived using the next-generation method. In the disease-free case, local and global stability is carried out with the condition that R 0 will be less than one. The global stability at the disease-free equilibrium point has been derived by utilizing the Castillo-Chavez method. On the other hand, at the endemic equilibrium point, the local and global stability holds with some conditions, and R 0 is greater than unity. The global stability at the endemic equilibrium point is established with the help of a geometrical approach which is the generalization of Lyapunov theory, by using the third additive compound matrix. The sensitivity analysis of the threshold number with other parameters is also taken into account. Several graphs of important parameters are discussed in the last section.
