Abstract
Proteinaceous lymphadenopathy (PLD) is a rare poorly defined, underrecognized entity of uncertain etiology, characterized by massive deposition of amorphous, acellular, eosinophilic, PAS-positive material within an enlarged lymph node. We report an unusual case of a 46-year-old female with a large abdominal lump in the left lumbar region with inguinal lymphadenopathy. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) showed multiple variable-sized lobulated non-enhancing soft tissue attenuated masses showing multiple peripheral and central calcific foci in the right para-aortic, bilateral iliac region, pelvis on the left side and left inguinal region. No evidence of any abnormal hypermetabolic focus was found in the neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis on fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography. A large, well-defined, non-FDG avid mass lesion with significant central and peripheral calcification in the left iliac fossa, abutting the descending colon, was seen. A biopsy of left-sided inguinal lymph nodes revealed large masses of an amorphous, acellular, eosinophilic material with areas of mature lymphoid cell aggregates interspersed between the pink amorphous materials. A final impression of proteinaceous lymphadenopathy was given. Proteinaceous lymphadenopathy is a benign condition with often a large mass masquerading as malignancy. It is a major therapeutic challenge for pathologists and clinicians. Histopathologists need to be vigilant in such cases and be aware of the morphological appearances in such cases.

Abstract
Liesegang rings are eosinophilic, concentric, lamellated structures that can assume a variety of shapes and sizes ranging from a few microns to hundreds of microns. To date, Liesegang rings have been reported in around 30 examples in the English literature, in the kidney, breast, female genital tract, and skin, and only a single report in the lung associated with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. Liesegang rings are usually incidental discoveries and have been associated with benign cystic lesions, inflammatory diseases, fibrosis, and tissue necrosis. Their typical appearance helps differentiate them from their mimics including parasites, foreign materials, corpora amylacae, and psammoma bodies. We report Liesegang rings in a 62-year-old male patient with pulmonary tuberculosis to create awareness about this rare entity among pathologists to avoid its misdiagnosis as a parasitic infection.

Abstract
Secretory carcinoma (SC) was originally described as mammary analogue secretory carcinoma (MASC). We present here a case of 33 years old male who came to ENT outpatient department with a complaint of swelling over the left side of his neck for 8 months. On Fine-needle aspiration cytology, an impression of cytomorphological features suggestive of acinic cell carcinoma (Milan category V) was given. Left functional endoscopic sinus surgery was done. On histopathology, a final impression of Secretory carcinoma, the left submandibular gland was given with pathological stage classification as pT2N0Mx. SC of the salivary gland is a rare entity that may pose diagnostic challenges. Awareness of its cytologic features is paramount to achieve an accurate diagnosis. Morphologic interpretation must be supported by an immunohistochemical profile and molecular studies to confirm a diagnosis of SC.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Age and medical co-morbidities are known predictors of disease severity in coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). Whether baseline transthoracic echocardiographic (TTE) abnormalities could refine risk-stratification in this context remains unknown.
Purpose
To analyze performance of a risk score combining clinical and pre-morbid TTE features in predicting risk of hospitalization among patients with COVID-19.
Methods
Adult patients testing positive for COVID-19 between March 1st and October 31st, 2020 with pre-infection TTE (within 15–180 days) were selected. Those with severe valvular disease, acute cardiac events between TTE and COVID-19, or asymptomatic carriers of virus (on employment screening/nursing home placement) were excluded. Baseline demographic, clinical co-morbidities, and TTE findings were extracted from electronic health records and compared between groups stratified by hospital admission. Total sample was randomly split into training (≈70%) and validation (≈30%) sets. Age was transformed into ordered categories based on cubic spline regression. Regression model was developed on the training set. Variables found significant (at p<0.10) on univariate analysis were selected for multivariate analysis with hospital admission as outcome. β-coefficients were obtained from 5000 bootstrapped samples after forced entry of significant variables, and scores assigned using Schneeweiss's scoring system. Final risk score performance was compared between training/validation cohorts using receiver-operating curve (ROC) and calibration curve analyses.
Results
192 patients were included, 83 (43.2%) were admitted. Clinical/TTE characteristics stratified by hospitalization are in Table 1. Moderate or worse pulmonary hypertension and left atrial enlargement were only TTE parameters with coefficients deserving a score (Table 1). The risk score had excellent discrimination in training and validation sets (figure 1 left panel; AUC 0.785 versus 0.836, p=0.452). Calibration curves showed strong linear correlation between predicted and observed probabilities of hospitalization in both training and validation sets (Figure 1, middle and right panels, respectively). ROC analysis revealed a score ≥7 as having best overall quality with sensitivity and specificity of 70–75% in both training and validation sets. A score ≥12 had 98% and 97% specificity and ≥14 had 100% specificity.
Conclusion
A combined clinical and echocardiographic risk score shows promise in predicting risk of hospitalization among patients with COVID-19, and hence help anticipate resource utilization. External validation and comparison against clinical risk score alone is worth further investigation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To establish mixture of zinc oxide and 10% sodium fluoride as a novel root canal obturating material for primary teeth. AIM This study aims to evaluate clinical and radiographic success of a mixture of zinc oxide and 10% sodium fluoride as root canal obturating material. SETTINGS AND DESIGN This pilot study was conducted among 30 primary molars indicated for pulpectomy. METHODS Thirty grossly decayed primary molars of children aged 4-9 years were selected with signs or symptoms of irreversibly inflamed or degenerative pulp tissue. Single sitting pulpectomy was carried out in all the teeth with a mixture of zinc oxide powder with 10% sodium fluoride, and they were subsequently restored with preformed crown. Teeth were assessed clinically and radiographically at 3-, 6-, 9-, and 12-month intervals. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS Data were analyzed using SPSS Software Version 20.0 (IBM SPSS Statistics, Chicago, IL, USA) and statistical significance was determined by Chi-square test; level of significance was set at P < 0.05. RESULTS Overall clinical and radiographic success rate of combination of zinc oxide and sodium fluoride was 92.9% and 85.7%, respectively, at the end of 12 months. Furthermore, resorption rate of material matched resorption of tooth root. Excess filling material was also observed to resorb at the end of 3 months. CONCLUSION These results suggest that combination of zinc oxide and sodium fluoride can be considered as suitable alternative root canal obturating materials for primary teeth with low cost to achieve acceptable therapeutic results.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Primary chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) is a rare, potentially life-threatening disorder characterized by severely impaired gastrointestinal motility. The objective of this study was to examine the contribution of ACTG2, LMOD1, MYH11, and MYLK mutations in an Australasian cohort of patients with a diagnosis of primary CIPO associated with visceral myopathy. METHODS Pediatric and adult patients with primary CIPO and suspected visceral myopathy were recruited from across Australia and New Zealand. Sanger sequencing of the genes encoding enteric gamma-actin (ACTG2) and smooth muscle leiomodin (LMOD1) was performed on DNA from patients, and their relatives, where available. MYH11 and MYLK were screened by next-generation sequencing. KEY RESULTS We identified heterozygous missense variants in ACTG2 in 7 of 17 families (~41%) diagnosed with CIPO and its associated conditions. We also identified a previously unpublished missense mutation (c.443C>T, p.Arg148Leu) in one family. One case presented with megacystis-microcolon-intestinal hypoperistalsis syndrome in utero with subsequent termination of pregnancy at 28 weeks' gestation. All of the substitutions identified occurred at arginine residues. No likely pathogenic variants in LMOD1, MYH11, or MYLK were identified within our cohort. CONCLUSIONS AND INFERENCES ACTG2 mutations represent a significant underlying cause of primary CIPO with visceral myopathy and associated phenotypes in Australasian patients. Thus, ACTG2 sequencing should be considered in cases presenting with hypoperistalsis phenotypes with suspected visceral myopathy. It is likely that variants in other genes encoding enteric smooth muscle contractile proteins will contribute further to the genetic heterogeneity of hypoperistalsis phenotypes.

Abstract
Abstract
The conductance of the solutions of strontium octanoate, hexanoate and pentanoate have been measured in water at 35–50 °C in order to determine the micellar behavior of strontium soaps in water. The result shows that these soaps behave as weak electrolyte in water and the Debye Hückel Onsager equation fails for solution of these soaps.

Abstract
Leiomyoma is a benign smooth muscle tumor that rarely affects children and occurs most frequently in the uterine myometrium and gastrointestinal tract. Its occurrence in the oral cavity is considered rare probably because of the scarcity of smooth muscle tissue in the oral cavity. The most common intraoral sites for leiomyoma are lips, palate and tongue. The purpose of this case report is to present the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of a rare case of oral leiomyoma in a 13-year-old girl with a 4-month history of a swelling in her left mandibular area extending from first molar to retromolar region.

Abstract
In this case report we present a family with infertile, azoospermic but otherwise apparently healthy males with history of recurrent spontaneous abortions (RSA) in females. Karyotype of the infertile man revealed a reciprocal balanced translocation t(8; 13) with breakpoints at 8q22 and 13p11.2. The reported reciprocal balanced translocation is associated with azoospermia. The same translocation is probably the cause of RSA in females of the family.

Abstract
A newly developed brain spatula with transparent tip for brain retraction is introduced. The high-molecular polymer plastic material is used only for the tip of the new spatula whilst rest of the spatula is made up of the ordinary malleable metal. The transparent nature of the spatula tip helps us in observing the retracted brain vessels and cranial nerves in continuity with the main operating area. The extent of distortion as a result of the retraction can be directly observed assisting in prevention of an inadvertent injury. The new brain spatula with transparent tip is helpful for microneurosurgery under high magnification. Various shapes and sizes of the spatula can be used.

Abstract
Serum 5-nucleotidase levels have been estimated in a group of 50 patients with head and neck cancer. The mean value was significantly higher in patients compared to the controls. In patients with non-malignant growths, the activity was comparable with the controls. The increase was higher in patients with proliferative lesions than those with ulcerative growths. Enzyme activity was found to be increased with the advancement in the stage of cancer. The rise was comparatively higher in patients with cervical metastasis. After radiotherapy, a gradual and significant reduction of serum 5-nucleotidase activity was observed.

Abstract
Nasal mucus clearance (NMC) was studied in seventy patients with chronic maxillary sinusitis. Forty-five patients were treated with oral administration of bromhexine tablets along with oral antibiotics and nasal decongestants. Twenty-five patients received the same treatment but without bromhexine to evaluate the results. NMC was also studied in hundred healthy controls.

Abstract
Serum phosphohexose isomerase (PHI) levels were estimated in 28 patients with head and neck cancer. The mean value was significantly higher when compared to the controls. There was no difference in mean PHI value with respect to the character of the lesion or with the histopathological type of growth. The activity was increased with the advancement of the stage of cancer. With radiotherapy, a gradual and significant decrease in serum PHI activity was observed.
