Electro-Induced Phase Transformation of a Conductive Metal-Organic Framework Film for Nonlinear Optical Switching

Achieving metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with nonlinear optical (NLO) switching is profoundly important. Herein, the conductive MOFs Cu-TCNQ phase I (Ph-I) and phase II (Ph-II) films were prepared using the liquid-phase-epitaxial layer-by-layer spin-coating method and steam heating method, respectively. Electronic experiments showed that the Ph-II film could be changed into the Ph-I film under an applied electric field. The third-order NLO results revealed that the Ph-I film had a third-order nonlinear reverse saturation absorption (RSA) response and the Ph-II film displayed a third-order nonlinear saturation absorption (SA) response. With increases in the heating time and applied voltage, the third-order NLO response realized the reversible transition between SA and RSA. The theoretical calculations indicated that Ph-I possessed more interlayer charge transfer, resulting in a third-order nonlinear RSA response that was stronger than that of Ph-II. This work applies phase-transformed MOFs to third-order NLO switching and provides new insights into the nonlinear photoelectric applications of MOFs.

Integrated Anionic Zirconium-Organic Cage and Cationic Boron-Imidazolate Cage for Synergetic Optical Limiting

Making oppositely charged metal-organic cages (MOCs) into a tightly ordered structure may bring interesting functions. Herein, we report a novel structure composed of anionic (Zr4 L6 )8- (L=embonate) tetrahedral cages and in situ-formed cationic [Zn4 (Bim)4 ]4+ (Bim=[BH(im)3 ]- ; im=imidazole) cubic cages. Chiral transfer is observed from enantiopure (Zr4 L6 )8- cage to enantiopure [Zn4 (Bim)4 ]4+ cage. A pair of enantiomers (PTC-373(Δ) and PTC-373(Λ)) are formed. PTC-373 exhibits high chemical and thermal stabilities, affording an interesting single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformation. More importantly, the combination of ionic pair cages significantly enhances its third-order nonlinear optical property, and its thin-film exhibits an excellent optical limiting effect.

[Study based on the acetaldehyde dehydrogenase 2 gene polymorphism and acetaminophen-induced liver injury]

Objective: To explore the association between aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) gene polymorphisms and abnormal liver function-induced by acetaminophen (APAP) drugs. Methods: An ALDH2 gene knockout mouse model was constructed using CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology. The obtained heterozygous mice were mated with opposite sex of heterozygotes. Genomic DNA was extracted from the tail of the offspring mouse. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was used to determine the ALDH2 genotype. APAP was further used to induce acute drug-induced liver injury models in wild-type and ALDH2 knockout mice. Blood and liver tissues of mice were collected for liver function index, HE staining, F4/80 immunohistochemistry, and other detections. The intergroup mean was compared using a one-way ANOVA. The LSD- t test was used for pairwise comparison. Results: ALDH2 knockout mice were bred successfully. The genotyping of the offspring was segregated into the wild-type (ALDH2(+/+)), heterozygous mutant (ALDH2(+/-)), and homozygous mutant (ALDH2(-/-)), respectively. Biochemical and histological results after APAP modeling showed that the level of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and total bilirubin (TBil) was not significantly increased in the blank control group (P < 0.05), while the ALT, AST,ALP, and TBil were all elevated in the APAP experimental group. The levels of ALT (P  = 0.004), AST (P = 0.002), and TBil (P = 0.012) were significantly elevated among the mutant group compared to those in the wild-type group, and the expression levels of these indicators were also significantly elevated among the homozygous mutant group compared to those in the heterozygous mutant group (P = 0.003, 0 and 0.006). In addition, the ALP levels were higher in the heterozygous mutation group than those in the homozygous mutant group (P = 0.085) and wild-type group mice, but the difference was only statistically significant compared to wild-type mice (P = 0.002). HE staining results showed that mice in the APAP experimental group had hepatocyte degeneration, necrosis, and increased inflammatory cell infiltration, which was mostly evident in mutant mice. Simultaneously, the F4/80 immunohistochemical staining results showed that brown granules were visible in the liver tissue of APAP experimental group mice, and its expression levels were significantly enhanced compared to the blank control group. Conclusion: APAP-induced liver function abnormalities were associated with the ALDH2 gene polymorphism. The liver injury symptoms were increased in ALDH2 mutant mice following APAP modeling, and the ALDH2 gene defect may alleviate, to some extent, APAP-induced liver function abnormalities.

Ultra-high resistive switching current ratio and improved ferroelectricity and dielectric tunability performance in a BaTiO3/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heterostructure by inserting a SrCoO2.5 layer

A BaTiO3/SrCoO2.5 (BTO/SCO) bilayer and a BTO single film were prepared by radio frequency magnetron sputtering on La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) buffered SrTiO3 (001) substrates. Interestingly, compared with reported BTO-based films, the BTO/SCO/LSMO heterostructure has a maximum ON/OFF current ratio of ∼945. More interestingly, compared with the BTO single layer, a larger Pr (∼18.4 μC cm-2) and larger dielectric tunability (∼71.9%) were achieved in the BTO/SCO bilayer. The improved performance may be attributed to the large tetragonality and improved oxygen vacancy concentrations in the BTO/SCO/LSMO heterostructure. Furthermore, our BTO/SCO/LSMO stacks exhibit potential for flexible electronic informational devices.

[Hepatitis B virus infection status and clinical characteristics in patients with rheumatoid arthritis]

Objective: To investigate the epidemiology of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in China and its association with RA disease characteristics. Methods: A cross-sectional study. A retrospective study was conducted on RA patients recruited from January 2001 to February 2023 in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital. Demographic and clinical data were collected including age, gender, disease duration, active smoking, RA disease activity, physical function, radiographic assessment, serological markers of HBV infection and liver function indicators. According to the status of HBV infection, RA patients were grouped as chronic HBV infection, resolved HBV infection and no HBV infection groups. The distribution of each group and the clinical characteristics of RA patients were analyzed. Results: Among 1 941 RA patients, 1 461 (75.3%) completed HBV screening, including 335 males (22.9%) and 1 126 females (77.1%), with a mean age of (55.4±13.1) years. The prevalence of chronic HBV infection was 10.1%(148/1 461), which was significantly higher in male patients than in females [14.6%(49/335) vs 8.8%(99/1 126), P<0.001], especially among those males born from 1970 to 1979[20.0%(7/35) vs 8.5%(17/201), P=0.037] and 1980-1989 [31.8%(7/22) vs 10.5%(14/133), P=0.007]. Among 148 RA patients with chronic HBV infection, there were 5 cases (3.4%) of chronic hepatitis B, 2 cases (1.4%) of HBV-associated cirrhosis and 1 case (0.7%) of hepatocellular carcinoma. The prevalence of resolved HBV infection was 57.6%(841/1 461). There were 472(32.3%) patients with no HBV infection and 267(56.6%) of them showed negative anti-HBs. Among all RA patients, 15 (1.0%) patients had abnormal liver function, of which 7 cases were drug-induced liver injury, 5 cases were chronic hepatitis B, 2 cases were non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and 1 case was primary biliary cholangitis. Conclusion: Chronic HBV infection remains a common complication in RA patients in China, the infection rate is 10.1%, and the screening and management of HBV infection should be strengthened in clinical practice.

[Research progress on HEG1 in cardiovascular generation and tumor development]

Heart development protein with EGF-like domains 1 (HEG1) is a novel mucin-like membrane protein with a long O-glycosylation region and EGF domain. HEG1 plays critical roles in embryo development and cardiogenesis, and is closely related to the occurrence and progression of malignant tumors. Here this article demonstrates the research progress on HEG1 in cardiovascular formation and tumor development in recent years, to inspire new ideas for the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of related diseases.

Designed metal-organic π-clusters combining the aromaticity of the metal cluster and ligands for a third-order nonlinear optical response

The pivotal role of clusters and aromaticity in chemistry is undeniable, but there remains a gap in systematically understanding the aromaticity of metal-organic clusters. Herein, this article presents a novel metal-organic π-cluster, melding both metal-organic chemistry and aromaticity, to guide the construction of structurally stable Os-organic π-clusters. An in-depth analysis of these clusters reveals their bonding attributes, π-electronic composition, and origins of aromaticity, thereby confirming their unique metal-organic π-cluster properties. Furthermore, the Os5 cluster exhibits a promising third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) response, attributable to its narrow band gap and uniform electron/hole distribution, suggesting its potential as an optical switching material. This research introduces a fresh perspective on clusters, centered on delocalization, and broadens the domain of aromaticity studies. It also presents a novel method for designing efficient third-order NLO materials through consideration of the structure-activity relationship.

Bioinspired Polyoxo-titanium Cluster for Greatly Enhanced Solar-Driven CO2 Reduction

Developing artificial enzymes with excellent catalytic activities and uncovering the structural and chemical determinants remain a grand challenge. Discrete titanium-oxo clusters with well-defined coordination environments at the atomic level can mimic the pivotal catalytic center of natural enzymes and optimize the charge-transfer kinetics. Herein, we report the precise structural tailoring of a self-assembled tetrahedral Ti4Mn3-cluster for photocatalytic CO2 reduction and realize the selective evolution of CO over specific sites. Experiments and theoretical simulation demonstrate that the high catalytic performance of the Ti4Mn3-cluster should be related to the synergy between active Mn sites and the surrounding functional microenvironment. The reduced energy barrier of the CO2 photoreduction reaction and moderate adsorption strength of CO* are beneficial for the high selective evolution of CO. This work provides a molecular scale accurate structural model to give insight into artificial enzyme for CO2 photoreduction.

Genome-wide association study identifies variants associated with semen volume in white-feathered broilers

Semen is a measure of the reproductive efficiency of roosters, which affects the economic benefits of white-feathered broilers. Over the years, research in this field has mainly focused on hens, while there have been fewer studies on the reproductive traits of roosters. To identify the genes related to the semen traits of roosters, we used a chicken 55 K SNP chip to genetically type the white-feathered population (220) and performed imputation with resequencing data from 97 roosters. In total, 1 048 576 SNPs were obtained and used for genome-wide association analysis of semen volume, from which 197 genome-wide significant markers were identified, all within the interval of 13.82-16.12 Mb on chromosome 7. By combining our results with the biological functions of genes in the interval, four candidate genes were identified that potentially relate to semen volume: FAPP1, OSBPL6, SESTD1 and SSFA2. Our findings may provide a basis for further research on the genetic mechanism and marker-assisted selection of semen volume in white-feathered broilers.

Enhancing the photocatalytic efficiency of two-dimensional aluminum nitride materials through strategic rare earth doping

Two-dimensional (2D) materials demonstrate promising potential as high-efficiency photocatalysts. However, the intrinsic limitations of aluminum nitride (AlN), such as inadequate oxidation capacity, a high carrier recombination rate, and limited absorption of visible light, pose considerable challenges. In this paper, we introduce a novel co-doping technique with dysprosium (Dy) and carbon (C) on a 2D AlN monolayer, aiming to enhance its photocatalytic properties. Our first-principles calculations reveal a reduction in the bandgap and a significant enhancement in the visible light absorption rate of the co-doped Al24N22DyC2 structure. Notably, the distribution of the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular in proximity to Dy atoms demonstrates favorable conditions for carrier separation. Theoretical assessments of the hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction activities further corroborate the potential of Al24N22DyC2 as a competent catalyst for photocatalytic reactions. These findings provide valuable theoretical insights for the experimental design and fabrication of novel, high-efficiency AlN semiconductor photocatalysts.

Evaluation on hydrothermal gasification of styrene-butadiene rubber with oxidants via ReaxFF-MD simulation

Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is widely used in tires, which brings great challenge to the disposal and reclaiming of the used tires. The ring-opening reaction pathways of benzene rings in hydrothermal gasification of styrene-butadiene rubber were revealed based on reactive force field molecular dynamics (ReaxFF-MD) simulation. H-abstraction reaction that OH radicals capture H atom from the vinyl group of styrene was critical to the degrading of the styrene monomers. The energy barrier of H2O2 converted to OH radicals was lower than that of O2 and pure water converted to OH radicals. The oxidants that can urge OH radical formed in reaction were beneficial to SBR degradation, which could be assigned to confirm that SBR degradation with H2O2 was better than that with oxygen at the same concentration. The addition of oxidant could be helpful for decreasing the degradation temperature of styrene monomers. At oxidant equivalent ratio (ER) of 0.1, H2 yield at 2500 K lifted after 135 ps and increased by 75% at 500 ps compared with that without oxidants. According to the chemical equilibrium analysis, the optimal ER for H2 was 0.4 between 350 and 600 °C (real temperatures). The results could provide theoretic support and experiment guidance for adding oxidants in reclaiming waste rubber products.

Ligand-dependent structural diversity and optimizable CO2 chemical fixation activities of Cu-doped polyoxo-titanium clusters

Heterometallic oxo clusters have been attracting intensive interest due to their unique properties originating from the synergistic interactions between different components. Herein, we report the construction and catalytic applications of a family of copper-doped polyoxo-titanium clusters (Cu-PTCs) coordinated with different acetate derivative ligands. The solvothermal reactions of metal salts and trimethylacetic acid or 1,2-phenylenediacetic acid in ethanol produced Ti6Cu3(μ3-O)4(μ2-O)(OEt)16(L1)4 (L1 = trimethyl acetate, PTC-367) and H2Ti8Cu2Br2(μ4-O)2(μ2-O)4(OEt)20(L2)2 (L2 = 1,2-phenylenediacetate, PTC-368), respectively. When smaller acetic acid was introduced as a stabilizing ligand, higher nuclei H2Ti16Cu3(μ4-O)5(μ3-O)15(μ2-O)3(OiPr)18(Ac)8 (Ac = acetate, PTC-369) and H3Ti29Cu3(μ4-O)6(μ3-O)30(μ2-O)8(OiPr)17(Ac)20 (PTC-370) were prepared. The number of metal ions exposed on the surface of the four clusters changes due to variations in the steric hindrance of functionalizing ligands, and theoretically, so does their catalytic activity as Lewis acids. In light of this, we conducted a carbon dioxide cycloaddition reaction in an atmospheric environment and the four obtained compounds displayed increasing catalytic activities from PTC-367 to PTC-370. These results provide a feasible synthetic method for modulating the structures of Cu-doped titanium oxide materials and improving their catalytic activities.

Predict the Polarizability and Order of Magnitude of Second Hyperpolarizability of Molecules by Machine Learning

In order to determine the polarizability and hyperpolarizability of a molecule, several key parameters need to be known, including the excitation energy of the ground and excited states, the transition dipole moment, and the difference of dipole moment between the ground and excited states. In this study, a machine-learning model was developed and trained to predict the molecular polarizability and second-order hyperpolarizability on a subset of QM9 data set. The density of states was employed as input to the model. The results demonstrated that the machine-learning model effectively estimated both polarizability and the order of magnitude of second-order hyperpolarizability. However, the model was unable to predict the dipole moment and first-order hyperpolarizability, suggesting limitations in its ability to predict the difference of dipole moment between the ground and excited states. The computational efficiency of machine-learning models compared to traditional quantum mechanical calculations enables the possibility of large-scale screening of molecules that satisfy specific requirements using existing databases. This work presents a potential solution for the efficient exploration and analysis of molecules on a larger scale.

Humidity-Induced Large Electronic Conductivity Change of 107 on a Metal-Organic Framework for Highly Sensitive Water Detection

The electronic conductivity (EC) of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) is sensitive to guest molecules with strong oxidation. Water, nearly ubiquitous, is a relatively mild species, however the effect of H2O on the EC of MOFs is rarely reported. Herein, we explored the effect of H2O on EC in representative MOFs, (NH2)2-MIL-125 and its derivatives, by experimental and theoretical investigations. Unexpectedly, a large EC increase of 107 on H2SO4@(NH2)2-MIL-125 by H2O was observed. Brønsted acid-base pairs formed between the -NH2 and H2SO4 played an important role in promoting the charge transfer from H2O to MOF and resulted in large change in the EC. Based on H2SO4@(NH2)2-MIL-125, an high-performance chemiresistive humidity sensing material was developed with the highest sensitivity, broadest detection range and lowest limit of detection amongst all the reported sensing materials. This work not only demonsrate that H2O with a weak oxidation nature could remarkably influence the EC of MOFs, but it also revealed that the post-modification of the structure of MOFs could enhance the influence of the guest molecule on their EC to design high-performance sensing materials.

[Efficacy and safety of low-dose rasburicase for refractory chronic gouty arthritis]

Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of low-dose rasburicase for refractory chronic gouty arthritis. Methods: A cohort study. The clinical data of patients with refractory chronic gouty arthritis who were treated with rasburicase at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University between January 2021 and July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Refractory chronic gouty arthritis was defined as serum uric acid (sUA)>360 μmol/L and urate volume>10 cm³ under dual-energy computed tomography after tolerable maximal oral urate-lowering therapy for at least 3 months. The administration of low-dose rasburicase was applied intravenously with total dosage ranging from 4.5 to 7.5 mg each dose, at 4-week intervals for a maximum of three doses. Efficacy was evaluated by the changes of sUA level, tophus and urate volume. Results: A total of 22 patients were included for analysis, with 95.4% (21/22) male, the mean age was (44±15) years, and the median duration of gout was 11 (6-15) years. The mean sUA at baseline was (667±112) μmol/L. The levels of sUA significantly decreased after each dose of rasburicase (P<0.001), and the median reduction of sUA after each dose of rasburicase was 568 (471-635), 187 (66-335) and 123 (49-207) μmol/L, respectively. At week 12, nine patients (40.9%) exhibited sUA<360 μmol/L and tophus disappeared in one patient. The urate volume significantly decreased at week 12 when compared with that before the first dose of rasburicase in all the patients [40 (16-172) cm³ vs 17 (7-134) cm³, P<0.001], with a median reduction rate of 41.6% (22.9%-58.5%). The everall safety of rasburicase was good, and no serious adverse reactions occurred. Conclusions: Low-dose rasburicase is well-tolerated and effective for decreasing the urate burden in patients with refractory chronic gouty arthritis. Further prospective randomized controlled trials are needed to validate these findings.

[Clinical characteristics of 11 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia with t (14;19) (q32;q13)]

Objective: To analyze the clinicopathological characteristics of 11 cases of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) with t (14;19) (q32;q13) . Methods: The case data of 11 patients with CLL with t (14;19) (q32;q13) in the chromosome karyotype analysis results of the Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from January 1, 2018, to July 30, 2022, were retrospectively analyzed. Results: In all 11 patients, t (14;19) (q32;q13) involved IGH::BCL3 gene rearrangement, and most of them were accompanied by +12 or complex karyotype. An immunophenotypic score of 4-5 was found in 7 patients and 3 in 4 cases. We demonstrated that CLLs with t (14;19) (q32;q13) had a mutational pattern with recurrent mutations in NOTCH1 (3/7), FBXW7 (3/7), and KMT2D (2/7). The very-high-risk, high-risk, intermediate-risk, and low-risk groups consisted of 1, 1, 6, and 3 cases, respectively. Two patients died, 8 survived, and 2 were lost in follow-up. Four patients had disease progression or relapse during treatment. The median time to the first therapy was 1 month. Conclusion: t (14;19) (q32;q13), involving IGH::BCL3 gene rearrangement, is a rare recurrent cytogenetic abnormality in CLL, which is associated with a poor prognosis.

Dangling bond formation on COF nanosheets for enhancing sensing performances

Dangling bond formation for COF materials in a rational manner is an enormous challenge, especially through post-treatment which is a facile strategy while has not been reported yet. In this work, a "chemical scissor" strategy is proposed for the first time to rationally design dangling bonds in COF materials. It is found that Zn²⁺ coordination in post-metallization of TDCOF can act as an "inducer" which elongates the target bond and facilitates its fracture in hydrolyzation reactions to create dangling bonds. The number of dangling bonds is well-modulated by controlling the post-metallization time. Zn-TDCOF-12 shows one of the highest sensitivities to NO₂ in all reported chemiresistive gas sensing materials operating under visible light and room temperature. This work opens an avenue to rationally design a dangling bond in COF materials, which could increase the active sites and improve the mass transport in COFs to remarkably promote their various chemical applications.

Pore Size Modulation in Flexible Metal-Organic Framework Enabling High Performance Gas Sensing

Pore size plays a critical role in determining the performance of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in catalysis, sensing, and gas storage or separation. However, revealing the pore-size/property relationship remains extremely challenging because ideal structure models possessing different pore sizes but having the same components are lacking. In this work, a solvent-coordination directed structure swelling method was developed for modulating the ratio between the large and narrow pore phases of a flexible MOF, MIL-88B. Pore-size-dependent gas sensitivity and selectivity were studied for the first time in the MIL-88B samples. The optimized MIL-88B-20% sample showed one of the best sensing performances among all the reported MOF-based H2S-sensing materials. This work not only provides a method to synthesize ideal structure models for revealing the relationship between pore-size and properties, but also may inspire the development of high-performance gas sensing materials.

Coordination-Induced Symmetry Breaking on Metal-Porphyrinic Framework Thin Films for Enhanced Nonlinear Optical Limiting

Structural asymmetry affecting the nonlinear optics (NLO) of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) is very important in fundamentals and applications but is still a challenge. Herein we develop a series of indium-porphyrinic framework (InTCPP) thin films and provide the first study on the coordination-induced symmetry breaking on their third-order NLO. The continuous and oriented InTCPP(H₂) thin films were grown on quartz substrates and then postcoordinated with different cations (Fe²⁺ or Fe³⁺Cl^-) in InTCPP(H₂) (named InTCPP(Fe²⁺) and InTCPP(Fe³⁺Cl^-)). The third-order NLO results reveal the Fe²⁺ and Fe³⁺Cl^- coordinated InTCPP thin films have substantially enhanced NLO performance. Moreover, InTCPP(Fe³⁺Cl^-) thin films cause symmetry breaking of microstructures, resulting in a 3-fold increase in the nonlinear absorption coefficient (up to 6.35 × 10^-6 m/W) compared to InTCPP(Fe²⁺). This work not only develops a series of nonlinear optical MOF thin films but also provides new insight into symmetry breaking on MOFs for nonlinear optoelectronic applications.

Overcoming the Trade-Off between C2H2 Sorption and Separation Performance by Regulating Metal-Alkyne Chemical Interaction in Metal-Organic Frameworks

Designing porous materials for C2H2 purification and safe storage is essential research for industrial utilization. We emphatically regulate the metal-alkyne interaction of Pd(II) and Pt(II) on C2H2 sorption and C2H2/CO2 separation in two isostructural NbO metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), Pd/Cu-PDA and Pt/Cu-PDA. The experimental investigations and systematic theoretical calculations reveal that Pd(II) in Pd/Cu-PDA undergoes spontaneous chemical reaction with C2H2, leading to irreversible structural collapse and loss of C2H2/CO2 sorption and separation. Contrarily, Pt(II) in Pt/Cu-PDA shows strong di-σ bond interaction with C2H2 to form specific π-complexation, contributing to high C2H2 capture (28.7 cm3/g at 0.01 bar and 153 cm3/g at 1 bar). The reusable Pt/Cu-PDA efficiently separates C2H2 from C2H2/CO2 mixtures with satisfying selectivity and C2H2 capacity (37 min/g). This research provides valuable insight into designing high-performance MOFs for gas sorption and separation.

[Safety and efficacy of the early administration of levosimendan in patients with acute non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and elevated NT-proBNP levels: An Early Management Strategy of Acute Heart Failure (EMS-AHF)]

Objectives: To investigated the safety and efficacy of treating patients with acute non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and elevated levels of N-terminal pro-hormone B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) with levosimendan within 24 hours of first medical contact (FMC). Methods: This multicenter, open-label, block-randomized controlled trial (NCT03189901) investigated the safety and efficacy of levosimendan as an early management strategy of acute heart failure (EMS-AHF) for patients with NSTEMI and high NT-proBNP levels. This study included 255 patients with NSTEMI and elevated NT-proBNP levels, including 142 males and 113 females with a median age of 65 (58-70) years, and were admitted in the emergency or outpatient departments at 14 medical centers in China between October 2017 and October 2021. The patients were randomly divided into a levosimendan group (n=129) and a control group (n=126). The primary outcome measure was NT-proBNP levels on day 3 of treatment and changes in the NT-proBNP levels from baseline on day 5 after randomization. The secondary outcome measures included the proportion of patients with more than 30% reduction in NT-proBNP levels from baseline, major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) during hospitalization and at 6 months after hospitalization, safety during the treatment, and health economics indices. The measurement data parameters between groups were compared using the t-test or the non-parametric test. The count data parameters were compared between groups using the χ² test. Results: On day 3, the NT-proBNP levels in the levosimendan group were lower than the control group but were statistically insignificant [866 (455, 1 960) vs. 1 118 (459, 2 417) ng/L, Z=-1.25,P=0.21]. However, on day 5, changes in the NT-proBNP levels from baseline in the levosimendan group were significantly higher than the control group [67.6% (33.8%,82.5%)vs.54.8% (7.3%,77.9%), Z=-2.14, P=0.03]. There were no significant differences in the proportion of patients with more than 30% reduction in the NT-proBNP levels on day 5 between the levosimendan and the control groups [77.5% (100/129) vs. 69.0% (87/126), χ²=2.34, P=0.13]. Furthermore, incidences of MACE did not show any significant differences between the two groups during hospitalization [4.7% (6/129) vs. 7.1% (9/126), χ²=0.72, P=0.40] and at 6 months [14.7% (19/129) vs. 12.7% (16/126), χ²=0.22, P=0.64]. Four cardiac deaths were reported in the control group during hospitalization [0 (0/129) vs. 3.2% (4/126), P=0.06]. However, 6-month survival rates were comparable between the two groups (log-rank test, P=0.18). Moreover, adverse events or serious adverse events such as shock, ventricular fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia were not reported in both the groups during levosimendan treatment (days 0-1). The total cost of hospitalization [34 591.00(15 527.46,59 324.80) vs. 37 144.65(16 066.90,63 919.00)yuan, Z=-0.26, P=0.80] and the total length of hospitalization [9 (8, 12) vs. 10 (7, 13) days, Z=0.72, P=0.72] were lower for patients in the levosimendan group compared to those in the control group, but did not show statistically significant differences. Conclusions: Early administration of levosimendan reduced NT-proBNP levels in NSTEMI patients with elevated NT-proBNP and did not increase the total cost and length of hospitalization, but did not significantly improve MACE during hospitalization or at 6 months.

Porphyrin metal-organic frameworks with bilayer and pillar-layered frameworks and third-order nonlinear optical properties

It is recognized that dimensions have a decisive influence on the properties of materials. Metal-organic frameworks as third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) materials have attracted much attention recently. However, research on the influence of dimensions on third-order NLO properties of MOFs has not been reported. In this work, we synthesized two porphyrin MOFs (PMOFs) constructed with π-conjugated tetracarboxyphenylporphyrin (TCPP) and in situ formed 1,2-bis(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)ethene (BIE) conjugated ligands. In both PMOFs, Zn₂(CO₂)₄ paddlewheel units are connected by TCPP-Zn ligands to form a 2D layer. Interestingly, these layers are linked by BIE ligands to form a bilayer in PMOF-1 and a 3D pillar-layered framework in PMOF-2, which serve as structural models to evaluate the influence of dimensions on third-order NLO properties. It is speculated that the 3D pillar-layered framework in PMOF-2 with BIE conjugated pillars is more conducive to interlayer charge transfer than the two-dimensional bilayer in PMOF-1, thus achieving a better third-order NLO performance. The third-order NLO test results of PMOFs in a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix showed that PMOF-2 displayed a higher nonlinear absorption coefficient, large third-order susceptibility and lower limiting threshold than PMOF-1/PDMS, which may be mainly attributed to the fact that the 3D pillar-layered framework is more conducive to interlayer charge transfer than the two-dimensional bilayer. This work reveals the influence of dimensions on third-order nonlinear properties which will help to explore new MOF materials with excellent third-order NLO properties.

Enhancing Third-Order Nonlinear Optical Property by Regulating Interaction between Zr4(embonate)6 Cage and N, N-Chelated Transition-Metal Cation

Herein, the combination of anionic Zr₄L₆ (L = embonate) cages and N, N-chelated transition-metal cations leads to a series of new cage-based architectures, including ion pair structures (PTC-355 and PTC-356), dimer (PTC-357), and 3D frameworks (PTC-358 and PTC-359). Structural analyses show that PTC-358 exhibits a 2-fold interpenetrating framework with a 3,4-connected topology, and PTC-359 shows a 2-fold interpenetrating framework with a 4-connected dia network. Both PTC-358 and PTC-359 can be stable in air and other common solvents at room temperature. The investigations of third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties indicate that these materials show different degrees of optical limiting effects. It is surprising that increasing coordination interactions between anion and cation moieties can effectively enhance their third-order NLO properties, which can be attributed to the formation of coordination bonds that facilitate charge transfer. In addition, the phase purity, UV-vis spectra, and photocurrent properties of these materials were also studied. This work provides new ideas for the construction of third-order NLO materials.

Cu4Ti4-oxo clusters functionalized by in situ - generated 2,2'-biphenolate ligands from the oxidative coupling of phenols

Herein, we report a twisted cubic Cu(I)₄Ti(IV)₄-oxo cluster stabilized by in situ - formed 2,2'-biphenolate ligands from the oxidative coupling of phenols. The 2,2'-biphenolate-functionalized Cu(I)₄Ti(IV)₄O₄ cluster shows short Cu⋯C contacts and exhibits smaller HOMO-LUMO gaps than those of reported Ti(IV)₄O₄.

Metal-Organic Framework with Structural Flexibility Responding Specifically to Acetylene and Its Adsorption Behavior

Flexible metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are one kind of stimuli-responsive materials that exhibit reversible structural transformations in response to external stimuli. Exploring and understanding the stimuli response behavior of flexible MOFs is challenging, as it involves weak host-guest interaction. We report here the unique flexibility of MOF Zn(int)(Ad) (TIF-A1, Hint = isonicotinic acid, Had = adenine) induced by acetylene adsorption. TIF-A1 is rigid toward most gas molecules, while only C₂H₂ can induce the flexibility of TIF-A1. C₂H₂-loaded TIF-A1 is characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and molecular modeling. It is revealed that the flexibility of TIF-A1 originates from the strong interaction between acetylene and the framework, which pushes the rotation of the int ligand and the expansion of the framework simultaneously. This work is helpful in deeply understanding the flexibility of MOFs and guides exploring new flexible MOFs in the future.

[Preconception reproductive health and birth outcome cohort in Chongqing: the cohort profile]

Birth cohort is an important platform to study the effect of early-life exposure on health outcome, but large cohorts to investigate the effect of preconception exposure, especially paternal exposure, on reproductive health and birth outcome are limited. The Preconception Reproductive Health and Birth Outcome Cohort (PREBIC) is a prospective birth cohort study which pays equal attention to the contribution of environmental, psychological, behavioral as well as other factors to reproductive health and adverse birth outcomes in both men and women in Chongqing, China. PREBIC started in 2019 and plans to recruit 20 800 reproductive-age couples with child-bearing willingness. Followed up was conducted to understand the conception status of the women within two years. Women in pregnancy would be visited at first, second, third trimesters and after delivery. The offspring would be monitored until 2 years old to understand the incidences of preterm birth, low birth weight, birth defects, neurodevelopmental disorders and other outcomes. Related information and biospecimen collections (including semen, peripheral blood, urine, placenta, umbilical cord, cord blood and oral swab) were scheduled in each period. By January 2022, PREBIC had recruited 8 698 participants from all 38 districts in Chongqing. The goal of PREBIC is to establish one of the largest prospective preconception birth cohorts covering both men and women, which might provide a unique insight to understand the effects of the full reproductive cycle on reproductive health and adverse outcomes, with especial emphasis on preconception exposures.

Silver-Templated γ-Keggin Alkyltin-Oxo Cluster: Electronic Structure and Optical Limiting Effect

As one of the most representative polyoxometalate (POM) structures, Keggin clusters have attracted considerable attention. Nevertheless, the noble-metal-templated Keggin structure has not been reported to date. In this work, for the first time, a Ag atom was successfully incorporated to template the formation of a γ-Keggin alkytin-oxo cluster. Moreover, the central Ag atom has brought a significant heavy atom effect, showing the important influence on the electronic structure and optical properties. Theoretical calculations demonstrate that the Ag atom affects the frontier molecular orbitals and excited states of the AgSn₁₂ cluster, and also the process of electron transfer. The solid structure of the AgSn₁₂ cluster exhibits a significant third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) response, and an excellent optical limiting effect has been experimentally verified. The success of this work opens the way for the construction and optical properties modulation of noble metal templated Keggin structures.

Black Titanium-Oxo Clusters with Ultralow Band Gaps and Enhanced Nonlinear Optical Performance

A series of catecholate-functionalized titanium-oxo clusters (TOCs), PTC-271 to PTC-277, with atomically precise structures were synthesized and characterized, including distinctive "boat" and "chair" conformations in PTC-273 and PTC-274, respectively. These cluster compounds are prominent for their ultralow optical band gaps, as is visually evident from the rather unusual black TOCs (B-TOCs), PTC-272 to PTC-277. The cluster structures were found to be ultrastable with respect to air, water, organic solvents, and even acidic or basic aqueous solutions in a wide pH range (pH 0-13), owing to the stabilizing effects of catecholate and its derivatives, as well as the carboxylate ligands. Another prominent feature is the occurrence of third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) performance, which has previously been unreported in the field of homometallic titanium-oxo clusters. Open-aperture Z-scan experiments show significant solid-state optical limiting (OL) applications of these B-TOCs, with high laser irradiation stability and low minimum normalized transmittance (T_min) of PTC-273 as ∼0.17. Meanwhile, theoretical calculations indicate that the smaller band gaps of B-TOCs were beneficial for strengthening the NLO response. This work not only represents a significant milestone in the construction of stable low-band gap black titanium oxide materials but also contributes to the mechanism insights into their optical applications.

Evaluation of Vertebral Function and Long-Term Quality of Life after Percutaneous Minimally Invasive Surgery in Patients with Thoracolumbar Spine Fractures

OBJECTIVE

To investigate the changes in vertebral function after minimally invasive surgery in patients with thoracolumbar spinal fractures and investigate the impact of percutaneous minimally invasive surgery on patients' quality of life by following up the patients in the long term.

METHODS

A retrospective analysis was performed to select 80 patients with thoracolumbar spinal fractures treated in our hospital from April 2013 to October 2018, and the patients were divided into a study group and a control group according to the difference in their choice of procedure. The two groups were compared in terms of perioperative wound pain, serum creatine kinase (CK) activity, and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, and the two groups were followed up for 2 years to compare the changes in anterior vertebral body height and Cobb's angle during the follow-up period and to compare the differences in quality of life between the two groups.

RESULTS

(1) The pain level of patients in the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group at the 1st and 3rd postoperative days (p < 0.05). (2) The CK activity and CPR level of patients in the study group were significantly lower than that of the control group at the 1st and 3rd postoperative days (p < 0.05). (3) Compared with the preoperative period, the height of the anterior border of the vertebral body and the Cobb's angle in both groups showed significant changes at 7 d, 6 months, one year, and two years after surgery (p < 0.05), suggesting that both procedures can significantly restore the height of the injured vertebra and improve the function of the vertebral body. (4) The somatic, physical, and psychological functions of patients in the study group were significantly greater than those in the control group at 6 months postoperatively (p > 0.05).

CONCLUSION

Compared to traditional open surgery, minimally invasive percutaneous surgery for thoracolumbar fractures can significantly reduce perioperative pain and improve perioperative stress in patients, while achieving better surgical outcomes and a significantly improved quality of life in patients at long-term follow-up.

Novel Third-Order Nonlinear Optical Materials with Craig-Möbius Aromaticity

Electron delocalization in aromatic materials significantly impacts their third-order nonlinear optics (NLO). Despite organometallic complexes with Craig-Möbius aromaticity attracting great attention for their unusual physicochemical properties, their third-order NLO have been little studied to date. Herein, 12 Craig-Möbius aromatic organometallics with a stable structure similar to osmapentalyne, namely, carbolong complexes, are screened by DFT. They exhibit high third-order NLO responses because of the d and p electron delocalization in the organometallic ring. Furthermore, electron-hole distribution analyses draw a conclusion that extending the conjugated plane will increase the π-conjugation system to enhance the local excitation in the plane, and the introduction of typical aromatic ligands can result in the organometallic ring-to-ligand charge transfer (RLCT), which are effective methods to improve the third-order NLO response. This study opens a new window in the application of Craig-Möbius aromatic complexes and provides a new approach for third-order NLO materials design.

Oriented Assembly of 2D Metal-Pyridylporphyrinic Framework Films for Giant Nonlinear Optical Limiting

The development of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with nonlinear optical (NLO) properties is of pronounced significance for optical devices. Herein, a series of 2D MOFs ZnTPyP(M) (TPyP = 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-pyridyl)porphyrin, M = Cu, Ni, Mn, H₂) films with [010]-orientation growth composed of ultrathin nanosheets from a pyridylporphyrinic ligand are first obtained by using a liquid-phase epitaxial (LPE) layer-by-layer (lbl) growth approach. ZnTPyP(M) films show a giant nonlinear optical limiting (OL) response and can be modulated by tuning the type of metalloporphyrinic ligands. As a result, ZnTPyP(Cu) film exhibits the highest nonlinear absorption coefficient of 5.7 × 10^-6 m/W compared to other reported NLO materials. Density functional theory calculations were consistent with the experimental results, revealing that the tunable π-π* local excitation and the increased delocalization of the metalloporphyrinic group regulate the NLO performance of ZnTPyP(M) films. These findings provide new insight into the effect of 2D porphyrinic MOFs toward the NLO response and offer new film candidates for nonlinear OL application.

Interpenetrated Metal-Porphyrinic Framework for Enhanced Nonlinear Optical Limiting

Structural interpenetration in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) significantly impacts on their properties and functionalities. However, understanding the interpenetration on third-order nonlinear optics (NLO) of MOFs have not been reported to date. Herein, we report two 3D porphyrinic MOFs, a 2-fold interpenetrated [Zn₂(TPyP)(AC)₂] (ZnTPyP-1) and a noninterpenetrated [Zn₃(TPyP)(H₂O)₂(C₂O₄)₂] (ZnTPyP-2), constructed from 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)porphyrin (TPyP(H₂)) and Zn(NO₃)₂ (AC = acetate, C₂O₄ = oxalate). ZnTPyP-1 achieves excellent optical limiting (OL) performance with a giant nonlinear absorption coefficient (3.61 × 10⁶ cm/GW) and large third-order susceptibility (7.73 × 10^-7 esu), which is much better than ZnTPyP-2 and other reported OL materials. The corresponding MOFs nanosheets are dispersed into a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix to form highly transparent and flexible MOFs/PDMS glasses for practical OL application. In addition, the OL response optimized by adjusting the MOFs concentration in the PDMS matrix and the type of metalloporphyrin are discussed in the ZnTPyP-1 system. The theoretical calculation confirmed that the abundant π-π interaction from porphyrinic groups in the interpenetrated framework increased the electron delocalization/transfer and boosted the OL performance. This study opens a new avenue to enhance OL performance by the construction of interpenetrated structures and provides a new approach for the preparation of transparent and flexible MOF composites in nonlinear optical applications.

Hybrid Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks for Promoting Electrocatalytic Oxygen Evolution via a Dual-Site Relay Mechanism

Developing efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts is important for enhancing the water splitting efficiency. However, with the current catalysts containing one kind of active sites, it is challenging to achieve low overpotentials because of the four-electron transfer process. Herein is reported HZIF-2-CoMo, a new metal-organic framework with well-defined Co-Mo dual sites that can promote the OER process through an unconventional Mo⁶⁺/Co²⁺ dual-site relay mechanism. Theoretical calculations suggested that the Mo and Co sites stabilize the HO* and HOO* intermediates, respectively, and that the unique Co-O-Mo configuration induces the formation of a Co-O*-Mo transition intermediate, remarkably reducing the reaction free energy. As a result, HZIF-2-CoMo shows an overpotential of 277 mV at 10 mA cm^-2 and a low Tafel slope of 70 mV dec^-1 in alkaline solution, making it one of the best OER electrocatalysts reported to date.

Aluminium nanorings: configuration deformation and structural transformation

Present herein is the first example of aluminium nanoring assembly by fatty acids. And the auxiliary alcohol sites can be modified either by monohydric alcohols (AlOC-33 to AlOC-35) or diols (AlOC-36 to AlOC-38). The monohydric alcohol modified ten-membered aluminium (Al10) rings are coplanar, while the diol modified ones possess a saddle-shaped configuration. Interestingly, the diol modified Al10 ring (AlOC-36) can convert into a coplanar ring (AlOC-33-B). AlOC-33-B possesses a similar molecular structure but a different supramolecular structure with AlOC-33. The structural transformation is confirmed to be a thermodynamically spontaneous process through density-functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Vertically Aligned MoS2 with In-Plane Selectively Cleaved Mo-S Bond for Hydrogen Production

Perturbing the periodic electronic structure of the MoS₂ basal plane via vacancy engineering offers an opportunity to explore its intrinsic activity. A significant challenge is the design of vacancy states, which include its type, distribution, and accessibility. Here, well-dispersed and vertically aligned MoS₂ nanosheets with an in-plane selectively cleaved Mo-S bond on a carbon matrix (c-MoS₂-C) have been prepared by a self-engaged strategy, which synergistically realizes uniform vacancy manufacturing and three-dimensional (3D) self-assembly of the defective MoS₂ nanosheets. X-ray adsorption spectroscopy investigation confirms that the cleaved MoS₂ basal plane generates newly active edge sites, where the Mo centers feature unsaturated coordination geometry. Theoretical calculations reveal that the exposed interior edge Mo sites represent new active centers for hydrogen adsorption/desorption. As expected, the synthesized c-MoS₂-C exhibits markedly enhanced hydrogen evolution activity and superior stability. This in-plane activation strategy could be extended to other types of transition-metal dichalcogenides and catalytic reaction systems.

[Rituximab combined with short-course and intensive regimen for Burkitt leukemia: efficacy and safety analysis]

目的

探讨利妥昔单抗联合短疗程、高强度方案治疗成人Burkitt白血病患者的疗效和安全性。

方法

收集2006年1月30日至2018年9月12日中国医学科学院血液病医院收治的11例Burkitt白血病患者病例资料，分析统计患者的临床特征、完全缓解（CR）率、总生存率、无复发生存率及不良事件。

结果

11例患者中位年龄34（15~54）岁，其中男6例，女5例。发病时中位WBC 12.28（2.21~48.46）×10⁹/L，HGB 113（74~147）g/L，PLT 35（13~172）×10⁹/L，乳酸脱氢酶2 721（803~17 370）U/L，外周血中位原始细胞比例0.40（0.03~0.76），骨髓中位原始细胞比例0.840（0.295~0.945）。10例患者接受利妥昔单抗联合短疗程、高强度化疗，其中2例患者巩固化疗后行自体造血干细胞移植。所有治疗患者1个疗程CR率为100%，4年总生存率为90%，4年无复发生存率为90%。所有治疗患者中，只有1例患者在诱导化疗中出现肿瘤溶解综合征，经血液透析等治疗后肾功能恢复。无治疗相关性死亡病例。

结论

利妥昔单抗联合短疗程、高强度方案治疗成人Burkitt白血病疗效及安全性均较为理想。

N-Heterocyclic Carbene as a Surface Platform for Assembly of Homochiral Metal-Organic Framework Thin Films in Chiral Sensing

N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have attracted increasing attention on surface assembly due to their strong metal binding property, but an NHC-modified metal surface as a new growth platform to assemble other functional materials is still a challenge. Here, we report the preparation and chiral sensing properties of homochiral metal-organic framework thin films on carboxyl-containing NHC self-assembled monolayer-modified gold (Au(NHC)) substrates. By using a liquid-phase epitaxial layer-by-layer method, enantiopure [Cu₂(cam)₂dabco]_n thin films with preferred [110] crystal orientation have been successfully grown on Au(NHC) surfaces. The results of electrochemical cyclic voltammetry and quartz crystal microbalance uptakes of (R)- and (S)-1-phenylethanol show that the chiral porous thin film on the robust Au(NHC) surface has good enantiomeric electrochemical recognition and enantioselective adsorption. The present work is a new step to develop metal-NHCs as surface platforms for the preparation of multifunctional thin films for sensing applications.

[Clinical and laboratory characteristics in patients with myeloid neoplasms complicated with clonal T large granular lymphocyte proliferation]

Objective: To analyze the clinical manifestations and laboratory features in patients with myeloid neoplasms complicated with clonal T large granular lymphocyte (T-LGL) proliferation. Methods: The clinical data of 5 patients with myeloid neoplasms complicated with clonal T-LGL proliferation from November 2017 to November 2018 in Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The median age was 60 years old. All patients had a history of abnormal peripheral blood cell counts for over 6 months. The absolute lymphocyte count in peripheral blood was less than 1.0×10(9)/L. In addition to the typical T-LGL phenotype, the immunophenotype was heterogenous including CD4(+)CD8(-) in 2 patients, the other 3 CD4(-)CD8(+). Four patients were αβ type T cells, the other one was γδ type. STAT3 mutation was detected in 1 patient by next-generation sequencing, the other 4 cases were negative. Conclusions: Clonal T-LGL proliferation with myeloid neoplasm develops in an indolent manner, mainly in elderly patients. Hemocytopenia is the most common manifestation. The diagnosis of T-LGL proliferation does not have specific criteria, that it should be differentiated from other T cell proliferative disorders, such as T-cell clones of undetermined significance. STAT3 or STAT5b mutation may help distinguish.

Effect of heat stress on mitogen-activated protein kinases in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis of developing Wenchang chicks

The regulatory roles of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis (HPG axis) of Wenchang chicks under heat stress (HS) were investigated. Additionally, the crosstalk between these signaling pathways was explored. Immunohistochemical experiments and Western blotting were employed to quantify extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK), c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK), and p38MAPK (P38). In female chicks, hypothalamic ERKs were upregulated in Weeks 1 and 2 in the HS group compared with the control group (CK), while JNK and p38 were downregulated (P < 0.05). Pituitary MAPKs were all downregulated in the HS group compared with the CK group in Week 3, but p38 was upregulated in Week 4 (P < 0.01). In the HS group, ovarian MAPKs were all upregulated compared with the CK group during Week 5, whereas ERK was downregulated in Week 6 (P < 0.01). In contrast to the patterns of MAPK expression in female chicks in the HS and CK groups, ERK in male chicks showed a completely opposite pattern in Weeks 1, 2, and 5, while p38 and JNK were downregulated in both female and male chicks under HS during Weeks 2 and 3. In the HS group, pituitary and testis MAPKs showed a pattern opposite to that observed in female chicks under HS in Week 5; MAPKs were all downregulated (P < 0.05). Thus, there are gender differences in the MAPK signaling pathways in the HPG axis in chicks, and these pathways showed plasticity. Early HS can enhance chick growth and development as well as promote developing in the MAPK signaling pathways in the HPG axis. However, after heated brooding was discontinued in chicks, long-term HS obstructed chick development and caused tissue and function injury to the HPG axis.

[Myeloid/lymphoid neoplasms with eosinophilia and FGFR1 rearrangement: 5 cases report and literatures review]

目的

分析罕见疾病伴嗜酸性粒细胞增多和FGFR1重排的髓系/淋系肿瘤（即8p11骨髓增殖综合征，EMS）的临床特征、诊断及治疗。

方法

总结中国医学科学院血液病医院2014年1月至2018年5月收治的5例确诊EMS患者的临床表现、实验室特征、诊治经过及转归。

结果

5例EMS患者外周血白细胞计数均明显升高，伴有嗜酸性粒细胞绝对值增高（均值18.89×10⁹/L）；骨髓髓系极度增生，原始细胞均<5%，嗜酸性粒细胞比例增高（均值17.24%）。5例患者染色体核型各不相同，但FISH检查均存在FGFR1基因重排。发病至确诊平均时间为4.8个月，中位生存期仅14个月。

结论

EMS是一种罕见病，恶性程度高，对常规化疗反应差，生存期短，且易发生误诊漏诊，细胞遗传学及分子生物学检查有助于早期诊断。
