Abstract
Radiographs regularly aid in identifications by comparing antemortem and postmortem images. The forensic community has widely accepted this method because radiographic images are low in cost, easily transferable, and generally believed to be uncomplicated to assess. However, there is a dearth of diverse, modern radiographic datasets as well as a deficiency in assessing population frequencies of nonmetric traits via radiographs. Further, radiographic comparisons, although typically required as a core competency of practicing forensic anthropologists, do not have standard training and education requirements. To understand the diversity and representation within an opportunistic dataset, we provide a case study of the demographics of decedents identified via radiographic comparison at the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner (CCOCME) in Las Vegas, NV, USA from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, we examined each region of the body used to make radiographic identifications. The sample was majority Caucasian and male, with a mean and median age at death of 64.9 years and 67.0 years, respectively. Our results indicated that this sample was not representative of the greater Clark County population. The most common body region used for comparisons was the chest, followed by the head and neck, pelvis, dentition, and the extremities. Thus, large generalizations made from these types of datasets must be implemented with caution due to the relative lack of diversity and representation. As well, current discussions regarding training and education of forensic anthropologists as they relate to radiographic comparisons are explored.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Virtual reality (VR) gains attention in construction safety training because it allows users to simulate real activities without the risks of real activities. However, a literary work comprehensively describing the effectiveness of VR in construction safety training and education (CSTE) is lacking. METHOD This study provides a systematic review of the research related to VR applications for CSTE over the past decade using meta-analysis techniques. Standardized mean differences between traditional training methods and VR training were grouped by measurement. Potential moderators possibly affecting the effectiveness of VR in CSTE were analyzed. RESULTS Results showed that VR is significantly more effective in construction training and education than traditional methods. The effectiveness of VR was 0.593, 0.432, and 0.777 higher than that of traditional methods for behaviors, skills, and experience measurements, respectively. The training context and mean work experience of trainees were two important moderators that significantly affected the effectiveness of VR in CSTE (p < 0.001). PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS The presented results suggested the need for targeted development and management of VR technology in the construction industry and the early promotion of VR for general safety training among young, inexperienced construction workers.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The effect of leadership support for adherence to infection control and prevention (IPC) measures has been demonstrated. To expand this support, a target group-specific educational study for chief medical officers (CMO) was implemented and its influence on IPC indicators was investigated. METHODS A controlled cohort study was conducted between 2018 and 2019. The intervention based on an initial workshop, an e-learning course, and a final meeting. Participants' activities involving IPC management were surveyed. Consumption of alcohol hand rub (AHR) and incidence density of hospital-associated (HA) Clostridioides difficile-associated infections (CDI) were analyzed. RESULTS Eight percent of 360 CMOs invited participated in the initial workshop; 70% of those participants registered for the online course. Overall, 43% completed the post-intervention questionnaire, in which 85% of respondents reported increased collaboration with relevant stakeholders. The pre-intervention median AHR consumption was higher in the intervention group than in the control group. Both groups showed an increase (38.6 (interquartile range (IQR) 33.6; 45.0) to 41.9 ml/patient day (PD) (IQR 35.0; 56.6) and 33.4 (IQR 28.3; 40.8) to 35.8 ml/ PD (IQR 31.6; 43.2), respectively). Pre-intervention median HA CDI cases were lower in the intervention group than in the control group. Both groups reported a decrease (0.22 (IQR 0.17; 0.33) to 0.19 cases/1000 PD (IQR 0.15; 0.26) and 0.32 (IQR 0.2; 0.48) to 0.22 cases/1000 PD (IQR 0.11; 0.33), respectively). CONCLUSION Multimodal IPC training of CMOs is worthwhile and can lead to changes in IPC-relevant cooperation in hospitals. IPC training of hospital management should be further intensified.

Abstract
PURPOSE The young working group of the Italian Association of Medical and Health Physics (AIFM) designed a survey to assess the current situation of the under 35 AIFM members. METHODS An online survey including 65 questions was designed to gather personal information, educational issues, working and research experience, and to evaluate the AIFM activities. The survey was distributed to the under 35 members between November 2022 and February 2023, through the young AIFM mailing list and social media. RESULTS 160 answers from 230 affiliates (70%, 31 years median age) were obtained. The results highlighted that 87% of the respondents had a fixed term/permanent employment, mainly in public hospitals (58%). Regarding Medical Physicists (MPs) training, 54% of the students left their region of origin due to the training plan (40%) and the availability of scholarships (25%) in the chosen university. Most of the respondents have no Radiation Protection Expert title, while the remaining 20%, 6%, and 3% are qualified to the first, second, and third level, respectively. Several young MPs (62.2%) were involved in research activities; however, only 28% had teaching experience, mainly within their workplace (20%, safety courses), during AIFM courses (4%), or university lectures (3%). CONCLUSIONS This survey reported the current situation of the under 35 AIFM members, highlighting the "brain drain" phenomenon from the south to the north of Italy, mainly due to the lack of post-graduate schools, scholarships, and job opportunities. The obtained results will help the future working program of the AIFM.

Abstract
This case study focuses on the online training activities on Open Science delivered within the H2020 project Transforming Research through Innovative Practices for Linked Interdisciplinary Exploration (TRIPLE, Grant Agreement 863420). The project is dedicated to building a discovery platform for the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and is committed to promoting and supporting the uptake of Open Science within research practices. In order to address SSH research and training communities' needs for enhanced competencies on Open Science and for stronger support in the Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable (FAIR) management of digital training materials, two reusable outputs were produced. The work carried out is presented as a novel approach to tackle the issues related to FAIRifying research and training practices and to create training resources whose reusability and relevance reaches beyond the project lifetime and framework. The case study presents the methods by which the results were produced so as to encourage and enable their future adaptation and reuse. The TRIPLE Open Science training series (result 1) targets SSH researchers, research support personnel and infrastructure developers in need of practical tools and specific skills to integrate Open Science practices in their workflows. The training series provides 12 competence-oriented online training events in Open Access whose training materials are available as Open Educational Resources (OER). The TRIPLE Training Toolkit (result 2) targets training organisers and research performing organisations who wish to design and manage training events as OERs and increase the impact of their training following good practice. The Toolkit is an easily reproducible workflow designed to help trainers minimise the time they spend in managing training events following FAIR practice. The workflow follows a FAIR-by-design method to address the frequent findability and reusability issues related to the management of digital training resources .

Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of child and adolescent psychiatry, including historical background and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It discusses recent advances in theoretical frameworks related to physician burnout, prevention, access to care, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and trauma-informed care. The authors conclude by emphasizing the importance of education and training in improving the lives of youth and families and encourage their colleagues to push the boundaries of education and training for a better today and brighter tomorrow, while honoring and doing justice to those they serve.

Abstract
One of the aims of EFOMP is to organise events for education, training and continuous professional development. For this reason, the European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics has developed a series of schools, called the European School for Medical Physics Experts (ESMPE). These are designed for medical physicists working as Medical Physics Experts (MPE) or in training to become an MPE and the level of training is at EQF level 8. The quality of training offered is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Medical Physics.EFOMP schoolstarget new topics included in the revised core curricula and guidelines for Medical Physics Experts in various subspecialties, which are rapidly evolving, as well as areas where the Medical Physicist plays a key role. The 28th ESMPE school was entitled "Statistics in Medical Physics".

Abstract
Sexual and gender minority people have unique, unaddressed healthcare needs following prostate cancer. The research team along with a group of established subject matter experts developed a training and companion materials for healthcare professionals to address this need. Post-assessment evaluation was reported in frequencies and percentages by combining results from learners who attended an original, live web-based training and learners who completed the same training on-demand via a Learning Management System. Learners from both the live and archived training reported that the training increased their knowledge to effectively work with sexual and gender minority prostate cancer survivors. Learners also reported gaining new resources and strategies they could apply to their work. Results indicate the training fills an educational gap for healthcare professionals and supports the need for additional training of healthcare professionals focused on the healthcare needs of SGM cancer survivors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE There is growing recognition that health care professionals (HCPs) and policy makers are insufficiently equipped to provide culturally competent care to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) cancer patients and their families. We examined HCP attitudes, knowledge, and practices regarding LGBTQI cancer care using a mixed-methods research design. METHOD Surveys were completed by 357 oncology HCPs in nursing (40%), medical (24%), allied health (19%), and clinical leadership roles (11%); 48 of the surveyed HCPs were interviewed. RESULTS Most HCPs reported being comfortable treating LGBTQI patients, but reported low levels of confidence and knowledge and systemic barriers to LGBTQI cancer care. Most wanted more education and training, particularly on trans and gender-diverse people (TGD) and those born with intersex variations. CONCLUSION Education of HCPs and health system changes are required to overcome barriers to the provision of culturally competent cancer care for LGBTQI patients. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS These findings reinforce the need for inclusion of LGBTQI content in HCP education and professional training curricula, and institutional support for LGBTQI-inclusive practice behaviours. This includes administrative and visual cues to signal safety of LGBTQI patients within cancer care, facilitating inclusive environments, and the provision of tailored patient-centred care.

Abstract
Psychologists are key team members in the delivery of integrated behavioral healthcare. Healthcare reform has supported a shift toward a team-based, interdisciplinary model of service delivery, with increasing emphasis on primary care services, prevention, and health promotion. In conjunction with this shift has been a greater focus on psychosocial problems and social determinants of health, particularly childhood adversity. Psychologists in primary care are uniquely positioned to advance efforts to prevent and ameliorate childhood adversity, which are essential to improving care for underserved populations and reducing health disparities. Targeted training efforts are needed to increase the number of psychologists equipped to work in primary care settings with underserved populations. This paper provides an overview of a training program designed to provide psychology trainees with specialized training in both integrated primary care and child maltreatment. The overarching goal of the program is to provide trainees with the skillset to work within integrated primary care settings and the expertise needed to further efforts to address and prevent child maltreatment, as well as childhood adversity more broadly, to improve outcomes for underserved populations. The paper reviews strengths, challenges, and lessons learned from this program.

Abstract
Safety pharmacology is an essential part of drug development aiming to identify, evaluate and investigate undesirable pharmacodynamic properties of a drug primarily prior to clinical trials. In particular, cardiovascular adverse drug reactions (ADR) have halted many drug development programs. Safety pharmacology has successfully implemented a screening strategy to detect cardiovascular liabilities, but there is room for further refinement. In this setting, we present the INSPIRE project, a European Training Network in safety pharmacology for Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), funded by the European Commission's H2020-MSCA-ITN programme. INSPIRE has recruited 15 ESR fellows that will conduct an individual PhD-research project for a period of 36 months. INSPIRE aims to be complementary to ongoing research initiatives. With this as a goal, an inventory of collaborative research initiatives in safety pharmacology was created and the ESR projects have been designed to be complementary to this roadmap. Overall, INSPIRE aims to improve cardiovascular safety evaluation, either by investigating technological innovations or by adding mechanistic insight in emerging safety concerns, as observed in the field of cardio-oncology. Finally, in addition to its hands-on research pillar, INSPIRE will organize a number of summer schools and workshops that will be open to the wider community as well. In summary, INSPIRE aims to foster both research and training in safety pharmacology and hopes to inspire the future generation of safety scientists.

Abstract
Telepsychiatry is used to deliver care to children and adolescents in a variety of settings. Limited literature exists on telepsychiatry education and training, and the vast majority does not address considerations unique to practicing telepsychiatry with youth. Without relevant education, clinical experience, and exposure to technology, child and adolescent psychiatrists may be resistant to integrating telepsychiatry into their practice. Additional research is needed to assess the current state of telepsychiatry education and training in child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship programs.

Abstract
Community Health Workers (CHWs) are a group of trained health professionals who advocate for members within their communities on social and health care issues. CHWs are increasingly utilized due to their affordability, accessibility, and ability to relate to patients. Evaluating CHW medication management practices, confidence, and training gaps may provide a better understanding of medication management training needs. The purpose of this cross-sectional survey was to assess CHW confidence in medication management, describe medication management services, and identify areas of focus to improve CHW medication management training. A 32-item survey was administered to CHWs in Idaho, Indiana, Nevada, and Oregon through their state's CHW email listservs. The survey content covered four domains: (1) demographic information, (2) work history, (3) experience with medication management and (4) CHW training including specific questions regarding medication management training. Two free-response questions assessed whether medication management training was beneficial and gathered suggestions for medication management-specific training. A total of 77 CHWs completed the survey of which, 90.9% were female, 38.9% worked as CHWs between 1 and 3 years, and 89.6% received instate CHW training. Over three-fourths of respondents (79.2%) provide medication management-related services and 57.1% rate their confidence in medication management as 'poor' or 'fair.' CHWs reported a need for additional medication management training within CHW certificate and continuing education programs. CHWs provide medication management services but have low confidence in their ability to provide such services. A greater emphasis on medication management training should be included in CHW certificate and continuing education programs.

Abstract
Introduction Leadership and teaching skills are essential, but not often emphasized, components of medical training. As emergency care develops as a specialty in Uganda, two cadres of providers are being trained: physicians and non-physician clinicians (NPCs). Building formal leadership and educator training into these curricula is essential. Methods A week long continuing education (CE) course on leadership and teaching is described and evaluated for effectiveness using Kirkpatrick’s framework for learner-centred outcomes. The emergency care trained NPCs participated in a week-long course consisting of lectures, role-playing, and small group discussions, as well as a personality self-assessment. The evaluation process consisted of: 1) an immediate post-course survey to measure learner satisfaction, 2) a retrospective, pre/post self-assessment with a Likert-type scoring tool to measure knowledge gains, and 3) a three-month follow up survey and structured interviews to measure knowledge retention and behaviour change in practice. Results All 15 NPCs participated in the evaluation process. Learner satisfaction was high with an average score of 9.3 (on a 1–10 scale) for course content, amount learned, and use of time. Participants reported gains in knowledge for each of the 24 competencies measured, with an average difference in pre- and post-course Likert scores of 1.11 (on a scale of 1–5). Lastly, all 15 participants shared detailed examples of using course content in practice three months after the course finished. The most frequently mentioned themes were “giving and receiving feedback,” “delegating and assigning tasks,” and “communication.” Conclusion This course was a successful CE intervention in this setting as measured by Kirkpatrick’s framework. The most frequently mentioned concepts used in practice point to the NPCs ability to take on leadership roles in this setting. Further research and evaluation methods should focus on the influence of culture and personalities on leadership education and translation into practice in an EM setting.

Abstract
In recent years, there has been a global call to reduce the numbers of preventable stillbirths and increase public awareness about the incidence and impact of pregnancy loss. The lived experiences of bereaved parents have much to contribute to developing the research agenda and clinical care in pregnancy loss. The multidisciplinary Pregnancy Loss Research Group (PLRG) based at the INFANT Centre at University College Cork and Cork University Maternity Hospital, has an established practice of active engagement and participation of patient members. This partnership provided the catalyst to model a similar collaborative approach between clinicians, researchers and bereaved parents when the PLRG was successful in their bid to host the International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA) annual conference in 2017. Over 400 hundred delegates from around the globe attended the conference, of which one quarter were bereaved parents. Establishing a culture of collaboration, support and mutual respect in the field of pregnancy loss, requires scientists, clinicians and parents to be brought together so each can be informed by the other in the efforts to prevent stillbirth and improve bereavement care. As part of ISA 2017 conference, a sub-committee of staff and parents was established to ensure that the voice of parents could contribute to the research agenda and developments in clinical and bereavement care. A creative workshop specifically for parents, followed by a parent assembly were organised to facilitate this. Remembrance activities, organised by the parent committee, were central to the conference and actively engaged in by parents, clinicians and researchers. This commentary, written collaboratively by a parent, a chaplain, a bereavement and loss specialist midwife and a consultant obstetrician, gives voice to this experience, identifying four key messages that arose from our reflection on the conference. These include; the value of active partnership between clinicians and patients, the use of creativity as a unifying expression of grief and as a means to facilitate learning, the value of collaboration with global stakeholders in raising awareness about stillbirth, and the importance of facilitating meaningful patient/public engagement in scientific research. The potential for education and learning opportunities are also explored, highlighting the connection between parents, researchers and clinicians as central stakeholders in the prevention of stillbirth and in improving bereavement care.

Abstract
Pediatric psychiatric emergency care is delivered in different settings with vastly different resources around the country. Training programs lack guidance on developing optimal curricula for this highly variable but crucial setting. A model curriculum for child and adolescent psychiatry trainees may be helpful to provide such guidance; its components include recommendations for assessing baseline knowledge, identifying and teaching core subject content, encouraging development of essential skills, and building in supervision for learners. Future directions include further study in current pediatric emergency psychiatry education and expanding the scope of curricula to include different learners and delivery models.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hybrid PET/CT and PET/MRI are increasingly important technologies in the evaluation of malignancy and require cooperation between radiologists and specialists in molecular imaging. The aim of our study was to probe the mindsets of radiological and nuclear medicine professionals in regard to current hybrid imaging practice and to assess relevant training aspirations and perceived shortfalls, particularly amongst young professionals. In this context, we initiated an international survey on "Hybrid Imaging Training". METHODS An online survey was prepared on-line and launched on October-2, 2016. It was composed of 17 multiple-choice and open questions regarding the professional background, a perspective on hybrid imaging training efforts and lessons to be learned from disparate craft groups. The survey ran for 2 weeks. We report total responses per category and individual free-text responses. RESULTS In total, 248 responses were collected with a mean age of all responders of (41 ± 11) y. Overall, 36% were within the target age range of (20-35) y. Across all responders, the majority (72%) commented on there being too few hybrid imaging experts in their country, whereas only 1% said that there were too many. Three quarters of the responders were in favour of a curriculum allowing sub-specialisation in hybrid imaging. With respect to reporting of hybrid imaging, confidence increased with age. The average rating across all responders on the level of cooperation among the two specialties suggested a low overall level of satisfaction. However, the survey feedback indicated the local (on-site) cooperation being somewhat better than the perceived cooperation between the relevant associations on a European level. CONCLUSION We consider these results to represent an appropriate cross-section of professional opinions of imaging experts across different demographic and hierarchical levels. Collectively they provide evidence supporting a need to address current shortfalls in developing hybrid imaging expertise through national educational plans, and, thus, contribute to helping improve patient care.

Abstract
Cephalopods are the sole invertebrates included in the list of regulated species following the Directive 2010/63/EU. According to the Directive, achieving competence through adequate training is a requisite for people having a role in the different functions (article 23) as such carrying out procedures on animals, designing procedures and projects, taking care of animals, killing animals. Cephalopod Biology and Care Training Program is specifically designed to comply with the requirements of the "working document on the development of a common education and training framework to fulfil the requirements under the Directive 2010/63/EU". The training event occurred at the ICM-CSIC in Barcelona (Spain) where people coming from Europe, America and Asia were instructed on how to cope with regulations for the use of cephalopod molluscs for scientific purposes. The training encompasses discussion on the guidelines for the use and care of animals and their welfare with particular reference to procedures that may be of interest for neuroscience. Intensive discussion has been carried out during the training sessions with focus on behavioural studies and paradigms, welfare assessment, levels of severity of scientific procedures, animal care, handling, transport, individual identification and marking, substance administration, anaesthesia, analgesia and humane killing.

Abstract
In 2014, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health emphasized the importance of women's health education, particularly in the realm of behavioral health. In order to support the professional interests of psychiatry trainees, a women's mental health study group (WMHSG) was developed and implemented. The WMHSG aimed primarily to supplement the resident curriculum and promote consideration of careers in women's mental health. After successful implementation, the curriculum was formalized into a Women's Mental Health Area of Concentration within the Department of Psychiatry's residency training program. Participants found the WMHSG to be interesting, to increase knowledge and improve clinical practice, and to facilitate mentorship opportunities. The creation and evolution of a WMHSG into an Area of Concentration offers an example for enhancing training in WMH topics and principles that can be extended to other medical specialties.
