Abstract
Exogenous Si mitigates the mobility and bioavailability of Cd in the soil, thereby alleviating its phytotoxicity. This study focused on specific Si-induced immobilisation effects within the rhizosphere (S1), near-rhizosphere (S2), and far-rhizosphere (S3) zones. Based on the rhizobox experiment, we found that applying Si significantly elevated soil pH, and the variation amplitudes in the S3 soil exceeded those in the S1 and S2 soils. Si-induced changes in the rhizosphere also included enhanced dissolved organic carbon and diminished soil Eh, particularly in the Si400 treatment. Meanwhile, the introduction of Si greatly enhanced the Fe2+ and Mn2+ concentrations in the S1 soil, but reduced them in the S2 soil. The rhizosphere effect of Si which enriched Fe2+ and Mn2+ subsequently promoted the formation of Fe and Mn oxides/hydro-oxides near the rice roots. Consequently, the addition of Si significantly reduced the available Cd concentrations in S1, surpassing the reductions in S2 and S3. Moreover, Si-treated rice exhibited increased Fe plaque generation and fixation on soil Cd, resulting in decreased Cd concentrations in rice tissues, accompanied by reduced Cd translocation from roots to shoots and shoots to grains. Structural equation modelling further highlighted that Si is essential in Cd availability in S1 and Fe plaque development, ultimately mitigating Cd accumulation in rice. Si-treated rice also exhibited higher biomass and grain yield than those of control groups. These findings provide valuable insights into Si-based strategies for addressing the Cd contamination of agricultural soils.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The prognosis of patients with thalamic hemorrhage is poor, and their long-term neurological impairment is heavy, which seriously affects their work and life.To comparatively analyse the efficacy and prognosis of patients with moderate hemorrhage in the thalamic region who underwent conservative treatment, stereotactic puncture surgery and neuroendoscopic surgery. METHOD This study retrospectively analyzed hospitalization data from 139 adult patients with moderate-volume cerebral hemorrhage in the thalamo-endocapsular region. They were categorized into a stereotactic group (39cases), a neuroendoscopic group (36cases), and a conventional conservative group (64cases). Logistic regression analysis was used to assess risk factors for severe neurological deficits in patients. Multivariate regression modeling was used to compare the correlation of severe neurological deficits among the three groups of patients. RESULTS Patients with thalamic moderate-volume cerebral hemorrhage had statistically significantly higher Assessment of Daily Living (ADL) scores in the stereotactic surgery group than in the conservative treatment group and the neuroendoscopic surgery group after 6 months of treatment (p< 0.001).The amount of residual hematoma was significantly lower in the surgery groups than in the conservative treatment group at 3 days, 7 days, and 2 weeks after the onset of the disease (P< 0.001).In multivariate logistic regression analyses, after adjusting for all covariates, the odds ratios for severe neurologic dysfunction in the stereotactic group and the neuroendoscopy group were, respectively, OR: 0.37 (0.12-0.87), P< 0.001 and 0.42 (0.23-1.13), P=0.361). CONCLUSION In patients with moderate volume cerebral hemorrhage in the thalamus-inner capsule region cerebral hemorrhage, patients treated with stereotactic surgery combined with early hyperbaric oxygen therapy may have better long-term neurological recovery compared with conservative and neuroendoscopic surgical treatments.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy and practicality of the Jaundice color card (JCard) as a screening tool for neonatal jaundice. Methods: Following the standards for reporting of diagnostic accuracy studies (STARD) statement, a multicenter prospective study was conducted in 9 hospitals in China from October 2019 to September 2021. A total of 845 newborns who were admitted to the hospital or outpatient department for liver function testing due to their own diseases. The inclusion criteria were a gestational age of ≥35 weeks, a birth weight of ≥2 000 g, and an age of ≤28 days. The neonate's parents used the JCard to measure jaundice at the neonate's cheek. Within 2 hours of the JCard measurement, transcutaneous bilirubin (TcB) was measured with a JH20-1B device and total serum bilirubin (TSB) was detected. The Pearson's correlation analysis, Bland-Altman plots and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used for statistic analysis. Results: Out of the 854 newborns, 445 were male and 409 were female; 46 were born at 35-36 weeks of gestational age and 808 were born at ≥37 weeks of gestational age. Additionally, 432 cases were aged 0-3 days, 236 cases were aged 4-7 days, and 186 cases were aged 8-28 days. The TSB level was (227.4±89.6) μmol/L, with a range of 23.7-717.0 μmol/L. The JCard level was (221.4±77.0) μmol/L and the TcB level was (252.5±76.0) μmol/L. Both the JCard and TcB values showed good correlation (r=0.77 and 0.80, respectively) and agreements (96.0% (820/854) and 95.2% (813/854) of samples fell within the 95% limits of agreement, respectively) with TSB. The JCard value of 12 had a sensitivity of 0.93 and specificity of 0.75 for identifying a TSB ≥205.2 μmol/L, and a sensitivity of 1.00 and specificity of 0.35 for identifying a TSB ≥342.0 μmol/L. The TcB value of 205.2 μmol/L had a sensitivity of 0.97 and specificity of 0.60 for identifying TSB levels of 205.2 μmol/L, and a sensitivity of 1.00 and specificity of 0.26 for identifying TSB levels of 342.0 μmol/L. The areas under the ROC curve (AUC) of JCard for identifying TSB levels of 153.9, 205.2, 256.5, and 342.0 μmol/L were 0.96, 0.92, 0.83, and 0.83, respectively. The AUC of TcB were 0.94, 0.91, 0.86, and 0.87, respectively. There were both no significant differences between the AUC of JCard and TcB in identifying TSB levels of 153.9 and 205.2 μmol/L (both P>0.05). However, the AUC of JCard were both lower than those of TcB in identifying TSB levels of 256.5 and 342.0 μmol/L (both P<0.05). Conclusion: JCard can be used to classify different levels of bilirubin, but its diagnostic efficacy decreases with increasing bilirubin levels. When TSB level are ≤205.2 μmol/L, its diagnostic efficacy is equivalent to that of the JH20-1B. To prevent the misdiagnosis of severe jaundice, it is recommended that parents use a low JCard score, such as 12, to identify severe hyperbilirubinemia (TSB ≥342.0 μmol/L).

Abstract
Tuberculosis, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis), remains a formidable global health challenge, affecting a substantial portion of the world's population. The current tuberculosis vaccine, bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG), offers limited protection against pulmonary tuberculosis in adults, underscoring the critical need for innovative vaccination strategies. Cytokines are pivotal in modulating immune responses and have been explored as potential adjuvants to enhance vaccine efficacy. The strategic inclusion of cytokines as adjuvants in tuberculosis vaccines holds significant promise for augmenting vaccine-induced immune responses and strengthening protection against M. tuberculosis. This review delves into promising cytokines, such as Type I interferons (IFNs), Type II IFN, interleukins such as IL-2, IL-7, IL-15, IL-12, and IL-21, alongside the use of a granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) as an adjuvant, which has shown effectiveness in boosting immune responses and enhancing vaccine efficacy in tuberculosis models.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (cardiac MR) reference ranges in Chinese children are lacking. PURPOSE To establish age- and sex-specific reference ranges for cardiac MR parameters in a cohort of healthy Chinese children. STUDY TYPE Retrospective. SUBJECTS One hundred ninety-six healthy children (mean age 9.5 ± 3.6 years, 111 boys). FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE 1.5 T; balanced steady-state free precession. ASSESSMENT Biventricular volume and ejection fractions (EF), left atrial (LA) volume, right atrial (RA) area, left ventricular (LV) mass and thickness, aortic root (AR), and main pulmonary artery (MPA) dimensions were measured. Parameters were compared between age groups and sex. The relationships between parameters and age, body mass index (BMI) and body surface area (BSA) were investigated. STATISTICAL TESTS Independent-samples t tests; Pearson's correlation. A P value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS Generally, boys exhibited greater absolute measurements of LV volume (end-diastolic: 94.4 ± 29.5 vs. 81.3 ± 31.0 mL), LA volume (end-diastolic: 42.6 ± 13.4 vs. 38.0 ± 13.3 mL), RA area (end-diastolic: 11.6 ± 2.5 vs. 10.8 ± 2.6 cm2), LV thickness (base: 4.4 ± 1.1 vs. 3.8 ± 0.9 mm), AR dimensions (annuls: 16.3 ± 2.7 vs. 15.0 ± 2.8 mm), and MPA dimensions (14.3 ± 2.3 vs. 13.1 ± 2.4 mm) than girls did. However, these differences were not observed when the measurements were normalized to BSA (LV volume: 75.3 ± 11.7 vs. 71.9 ± 12.3 mL/m2, P = 0.052; LA volume: 34.8 ± 8.9 vs. 34.5 ± 7.6 mL/m2, P = 0.783; RA area: 9.7 ± 2.3 vs. 10.2 ± 2.3 cm2/m2, P = 0.107; LV thickness: 3.6 ± 0.7 vs. 3.6 ± 0.9 mm/m2, P = 0.990; AR: 13.6 ± 2.7 vs. 14.3 ± 3.4 mm/m2, P = 0.108; MPA: 11.9 ± 2.3 vs. 12.4 ± 2.4 mm/m2, P = 0.118). Boys had greater RV volume (end-diastolic: 98.7 ± 33.5 vs. 82.7 ± 33.1 mL) and LV mass (52.6 ± 20.2 vs. 41.4 ± 16.0 g) compared to girls, irrespective of whether the values were indexed or not for BSA. Additionally, there were significant associations between age, BMI, and BSA with biventricular volume, LA volume, RA area, LV mass and thickness, AR and MPA dimensions in both boys and girls. DATA CONCLUSION This study suggests reference ranges at 1.5 T for Chinese children. EVIDENCE LEVEL 3 TECHNICAL EFFICACY: Stage 2.

Abstract
Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is one of the important causes of acute viral hepatitis worldwide, and its incidence rate is increasing year by year. HEV infection can lead to acute, subacute, or acute-on-chronic liver failure with a high mortality rate among some particular patient population, who are pregnant women, older, chronic liver diseases like chronic hepatitis B and cirrhosis, or immunocompromised. The clinical characteristics of HEV infection, the pathogenesis of HEV-related liver failure, and the progress in diagnosis and treatment will be elaborated upon in this article from these three aspects in order to improve clinicians' ability to identify and prevent HEV-related liver failure and its clinical outcomes.

A visceral organ function-focused therapeutic strategy using a 6-hour time window for patients with acute type a aortic dissection complicated by mesenteric malperfusion. Abstract
BACKGROUND Acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) complicated by mesenteric malperfusion is a critical and complicated condition. The optimal treatment strategy remains controversial, debate exists as to whether aortic dissection or mesenteric malperfusion should be addressed first, and the exact time window for mesenteric ischemia intervention is still unclear. To solve this problem, we developed a new concept based on the pathophysiological mechanism of mesenteric ischemia, using a 6-hour time window to divide newly admitted patients by the time from onset to admission, applying different treatment protocols to improve the clinical outcomes of patients with ATAAD complicated by mesenteric malperfusion. METHODS This was a retrospective study that covered a five-year period. From July 2018 to December 2020(phase I), all patients underwent emergency open surgery. From January 2021 to June 2023(phase II), patients with an onset within 6 h all underwent open surgical repair, followed by immediately postoperative examination if the malperfusion is suspected, while the restoration of mesenteric perfusion and visceral organ function was performed first, followed by open repair, in patients with an onset beyond 6 h. RESULTS There were no significant differences in baseline and surgical data. In phase I, eleven patients with mesenteric malperfusion underwent open surgery, while in phase II, our novel strategy was applied, with sixteen patients with an onset greater than 6 h and eleven patients with an onset less than 6 h. During the waiting period, none died of aortic rupture, but four patients died of organ failure, twelve patients had organ function improvement and underwent surgery successfully survived. The overall mortality rate decreased with the use of this novel strategy (54.55% vs. 18.52%, p = 0.047). Furthermore, the surgical mortality rate between the two periods showed even stronger statistical significance (54.55% vs. 4.35%, p = 0.022). Moreover, the proportions of patients with sepsis and multiorgan failure also showed differences. CONCLUSIONS Our novel strategy for patients with ATAAD complicated by mesenteric malperfusion not only improves the surgical success rate but also reduces the overall mortality rate.

Abstract
It is unknown whether Ferronickel slag (FNS)-ordinary Portland cement (OPC)-based pervious concrete (FOPC) is feasible. To this end, a feasibility study was conducted on FOPC. Firstly, a detailed microscopic examination of the FNS powder was conducted, encompassing analyses of its particle size distribution, SEM, EDS, and chemical composition. These analyses aimed to establish the suitability of a composite of FNS and OPC as a composite cementitious material. Subsequent experimentation focused on evaluating the compressive strength of the composite paste material with varying mixed proportions, revealing a slight reduction in strength as the FNS substitution rate increased. Furthermore, the study designed eighteen different mix proportions of FOPC to investigate the key physical properties, including porosity, density, compressive strength, and the coefficient of permeability. Findings indicated that increases in the cementitious material proportion correlate with enhanced concrete strength, where the ratio of cementitious to aggregate increased by 6.7% and 16.5%, and the strength of FOPC increased by 10-13% and 30-50%, respectively. Conversely, a rise in the FNS substitution rate led to a reduction in compressive strength across different mix ratios. Additionally, the ratio of paste material to aggregate was found to significantly influence the permeability coefficient. These comprehensive performance evaluations suggest that incorporating FNS into OPC for pervious concrete applications is a feasible approach, offering valuable insights for the promotion of waste reuse and the advancement of energy conservation and emissions reduction efforts.

Abstract
The photoelectric characteristics of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) films significantly affect the power conversion efficiency and stability of Si/PEDOT:PSS hybrid solar cells. In this paper, we investigated PEDOT:PSS modification with alcohol ether solvents (dipropylene glycol methyl ether (DPM) and propylene glycol phenyl ether (PPH)). The reduction of PSS content and the transformation of the PEDOT chain from benzene to a quinone structure in PEDOT:PSS induced by doping with DPM or PPH are the reasons for the improved conductivity of PEDOT:PSS films. DPM and PPH doping improves the quality of silicon with the PEDOT:PSS heterojunction and silicon surface passivation, thereby reducing the surface recombination of charge carriers, which improves the photovoltaic performance of Si/PEDOT:PSS solar cells. Comparing the power conversion performance (PCE) and air stability of Si/PEDOT:PSS solar cells with DPM (13.24%), DPH (13.51%), ethylene glycol (EG, 13.07%), and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO, 12.62%), it is suggested that doping with DPM and DPH can replace DMSO and EG to enhance the performance of Si/PEDOT:PSS solar cells. The EG and DMSO solvents not only have a certain toxicity to the human body but also are not environmentally friendly. In comparison to DMSO and EG, DPM and DPH are more economical and environmentally friendly, helping to reduce the manufacturing cost of Si/PEDOT:PSS solar cells and making them more conducive to their commercial applications.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Large-for-gestational age (LGA), a marker of fetal overgrowth, has been linked to obesity in adulthood. Little is known about how infancy growth trajectories affect adiposity in early childhood in LGA. METHODS In the Shanghai Birth Cohort, we followed up 259 LGA (birth weight >90th percentile) and 1673 appropriate-for-gestational age (AGA, 10th-90th percentiles) children on body composition (by InBody 770) at age 4 years. Adiposity outcomes include body fat mass (BFM), percent body fat (PBF), body mass index (BMI), overweight/obesity, and high adiposity (PBF >85th percentile). RESULTS Three weight growth trajectories (low, mid, and high) during infancy (0-2 years) were identified in AGA and LGA subjects separately. BFM, PBF and BMI were progressively higher from low- to mid-to high-growth trajectories in both AGA and LGA children. Compared to the mid-growth trajectory, the high-growth trajectory was associated with greater increases in BFM and the odds of overweight/obesity or high adiposity in LGA than in AGA children (tests for interactions, all P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS Weight trajectories during infancy affect adiposity in early childhood regardless of LGA or not. The study is the first to demonstrate that high-growth weight trajectory during infancy has a greater impact on adiposity in early childhood in LGA than in AGA subjects. IMPACT Large-for-gestational age (LGA), a marker of fetal overgrowth, has been linked to obesity in adulthood, but little is known about how weight trajectories during infancy affect adiposity during early childhood in LGA subjects. The study is the first to demonstrate a greater impact of high-growth weight trajectory during infancy (0-2 years) on adiposity in early childhood (at age 4 years) in subjects with fetal overgrowth (LGA) than in those with normal birth size (appropriate-for-gestational age). Weight trajectory monitoring may be a valuable tool in identifying high-risk LGA children for close follow-ups and interventions to decrease the risk of obesity.

Abstract
In this paper, a distributed bearing-based formation control scheme with finite-time convergency is proposed for multiple underactuated surface vessels (USVs). By virtue of the guide point-based model transformation method, the dimension of underactuated tracking error dynamics can be reduced from three to two. This allows us to convert the actuator model to a fully form that matches dimension-reduced tracking error dynamics. Further, to reduce the computation complexity, a finite-time recruited filter is designed according to first-order Levant differentiator. At meanwhile, auxiliary error compensation signals are introduced to address unknowns stemming from filter process and system dynamics. Since merely relative-distances and inner bearings are utilized in the proposed bearing-based formation approaches, the proposed control scheme provides a feasible solution to achieve formation control under body-fixed frame. Finally, theoretical analysis and numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the efficacy.

Abstract
AIM To elaborate the underlying mechanisms by which IL-1β promote progression of Dry eye disease(DED) through effect on pyroptosis and apoptosis of corneal epithelial cells(CECs). METHODS 400 mOsM solutions were used to establish the DED model (hCECs- DED). RT-qPCR was performed to measure IL-1β mRNA and miR-146a-5p in CECs. Western blotting was performed to measure STAT3, GSDMD, NLRP3, and Caspase-1 levels. Cell counting kit-8 assay was adopted to check cell viability. Apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. ELISAs were performed to determine IL-18, IL-33 and LDH. The luciferase test detects targeting relationships. RESULTS After treatment with 400 mOsM solution, cell viability decreased and apoptosis increased. Compared with hCECs, IL-1β was increased and miR-146a-5p was decreased in hCECs-DED. At the same time, GSDMD, NLRP3, Caspase-1, IL-18, IL-33 and LDH were significantly higher in hCECs-DED than in hCECs, while IL-1β silencing reversed this effect. In addition, IL-1β negatively regulated miR-146a-5p. MiR-146a-5p mimics eliminated the inhibition of hCECs-DED pyroptosis and apoptosis caused by IL-1β silencing. At the same time, miR-146a-5p reduced STAT3 levels in hCECs. CONCLUSION Highly expressed IL-1β promoted pyroptosis and apoptosis of hCECs- DED through downregulated miR-146a-5p and inhibited STAT3.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The efficacy of surgical intervention in ameliorating long-term prognosis for moderate volume of cerebral hemorrhage in the thalamus-internal capsule region remains unsubstantiated by clinical investigations. Consequently, the acquisition of credible evidence is imperative to authenticate the effectiveness of these methodologies. METHODS One hundred and three eligible patients with moderate-volume thalamus-internal capsule region cerebral hemorrhage. Twenty-seven pairs of successful matches after using the 1:1 propensity score matching method, totaling 54 patients, were analyzed. The short- and long-term treatment outcomes of patients in the stereotactic surgery and conservative treatment groups were compared. The prognosis of the 2 groups of patients was analyzed by logistic regression analysis and model comparison. RESULTS The primary outcome of this study was to assess the assessment of daily living scores after 6 months of treatment. Based on the analysis of this study, the assessment of daily living of the surgical group were significantly higher than those of the conservative treatment group after 6 months of treatment (P < 0.001), and the difference was statistically significant. The amount of residual hematoma was significantly lower in the stereotactic surgery group than in the conservative treatment group at 3 days, 7 days, and 2 weeks after the onset of the disease (P < 0.001), and the complication rate was lower than the conservative treatment group (P < 0.05). Univariate logistic regression showed that the risk of severe neurological dysfunction for patients in the surgery group was (odds ratio -0.27, 95% confidence interval: 0.08-0.86, P < 0.05). In multivariate logistic regression analysis, the odds ratio was 0.29 (95% confidence interval: 0.09-0.96, P < 0.05) after adjusting for all covariates. CONCLUSIONS For moderate-volume thalamus-internal capsule region cerebral hemorrhage, stereotactic paracentesis has the advantage of a shorter hospital stay and a lower complication rate than conservative treatment. Moreover, it yields superior outcomes in terms of daily living assessment scores after six months of treatment and enhanced neurological recovery.

Abstract
Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is a common malignancy worldwide. Existing evidence has revealed that EC could be associated with abnormal gene expression. Meantime, evidence supports that miRNAs act as critical regulators in gene expression through the binding to the 3'- untranslated region (3'-UTR). Accordingly, this review concludes some recent studies focusing on miRNAs that influence EC, aiming at understanding the association between miRNAs and EC more clearly and providing a reference for further studies on miRNA-related drugs treating EC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The era of high throughput sequencing offers new paths to identifying species boundaries that are complementary to traditional morphology-based delimitations. De novo species delimitation using traditional or DNA super-barcodes serve as efficient approaches to recognizing putative species (molecular operational taxonomic units, MOTUs). Tea plants (Camellia sect. Thea) form a group of morphologically similar species with significant economic value, providing the raw material for tea, which is the most popular nonalcoholic caffeine-containing beverage in the world. Taxonomic challenges have arisen from vague species boundaries in this group. RESULTS Based on the most comprehensive sampling of C. sect. Thea by far (165 individuals of 39 morphospecies), we applied three de novo species delimitation methods (ASAP, PTP, and mPTP) using plastome data to provide an independent evaluation of morphology-based species boundaries in tea plants. Comparing MOTU partitions with morphospecies, we particularly tested the congruence of MOTUs resulting from different methods. We recognized 28 consensus MOTUs within C. sect. Thea, while tentatively suggesting that 11 morphospecies be discarded. Ten of the 28 consensus MOTUs were uncovered as morphospecies complexes in need of further study integrating other evidence. Our results also showed a strong imbalance among the analyzed MOTUs in terms of the number of molecular diagnostic characters. CONCLUSION This study serves as a solid step forward for recognizing the underlying species boundaries of tea plants, providing a needed evidence-based framework for the utilization and conservation of this economically important plant group.

Abstract
Introduction The impact of female biological sex on the development of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and its associated kidney disease and vascular endothelial dysfunction is still controversial. Whether females are protected from HFpEF and associated complications is not well established. Previous studies report conflicting prevalence between genders. We hypothesize that female mice are unprotected from HFpEF and its associated kidney disease and vascular endothelial dysfunction. Methods Eight-week-old female mice were divided into four groups: control groups receiving a standard diet and water for either 5 or 16 weeks, and HFpEF groups fed a high-fat diet (HFD, Rodent Diet With 60 kcal% Fat) and N [w]-nitro-l-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME - 0.5 g/L) in the drinking water for 5 or 16 weeks. Various measurements and assessments were performed, including echocardiography, metabolic and hypertensive evaluations, markers of heart and kidney injury, and assessment of vascular endothelial function. Results Female mice with HFD and L-NAME developed HFpEF at 5 weeks, evidenced by increased E/E' ratio, reduced cardiac index, left ventricular mass, and unchanged ejection fraction. After 16 weeks, HFpEF worsened. Metabolic disorders, hypertension, lung wet/kidney weight increase, exercise intolerance, and cardiac/renal injury markers were observed. Vascular endothelial dysfunction was associated with ER stress and fibrosis induction. Conclusions We found that female mice are susceptible to the development of HFpEF and its associated kidney disease and vascular endothelial dysfunction. Our data support the concept that the female sex does not protect from HFpEF and its associated kidney disease and vascular endothelial dysfunction when disease risk factors are present.

Abstract
This study aims to examine the clinical characteristics and outcomes of clinical myocarditis in pediatric patients in China. This is a multicenter retrospective study. Children diagnosed with clinical myocarditis from 20 hospitals in China and admitted between January 1, 2015, and December 30, 2021, were enrolled. The clinical myocarditis was diagnosed based on the "Diagnostic Recommendation for Myocarditis in Children (Version 2018)". The clinical data were collected from their medical records. A total of 1210 patients were finally enrolled in this study. Among them, 45.6% had a history of respiratory tract infection. An abnormal electrocardiogram was observed in 74.2% of patients. Echocardiography revealed that 32.3% of patients had a left ventricular ejection fraction of less than 50%. Cardiac MRI was performed in 4.9% of children with clinical myocarditis, of which 61% showed localized or diffuse hypersignal on T2-weighted images. Serum levels of cardiac troponin I (cTnI), creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), and N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) were higher in patients with fulminant myocarditis than in patients with myocarditis, making them potential risk factors for fulminant myocarditis. Following active treatment, 12.1% of patients were cured, and 79.1% were discharged with improvement. CONCLUSION Clinical myocarditis in children often presents with symptoms outside the cardiovascular system. CK-MB, cTnI, and NT-proBNP are important indicators for assessing clinical myocarditis. The electrocardiogram and echocardiogram findings in children with clinical myocarditis exhibit significant variability but lack specificity. Cardiac MRI can be a useful tool for screening clinical myocarditis. Most children with clinical myocarditis have a favorable prognosis. WHAT IS KNOWN • Pediatric myocarditis presents complex clinical manifestations and exhibits varying degrees of severity. Children with mild myocarditis generally have a favorable prognosis, while a small number of children with critically ill myocarditis experience sudden onset, hemodynamic disorders, and fatal arrhythmias. Therefore, early diagnosis and timely treatment of myocarditis are imperative. WHAT IS NEW • To the best of our knowledge, this multicenter retrospective study is the largest ever reported in China, aiming to reveal the clinical characteristics and outcomes of pediatric clinical myocarditis in China. We provided an extensive analysis of the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and factors impacting disease severity in pediatric clinical myocarditis in China, which provides insights into the epidemiological characteristics of pediatric clinical myocarditis.

Abstract
Searches for new resonances are performed using an unsupervised anomaly-detection technique. Events with at least one electron or muon are selected from 140 fb^{-1} of pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded by ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider. The approach involves training an autoencoder on data, and subsequently defining anomalous regions based on the reconstruction loss of the decoder. Studies focus on nine invariant mass spectra that contain pairs of objects consisting of one light jet or b jet and either one lepton (e,μ), photon, or second light jet or b jet in the anomalous regions. No significant deviations from the background hypotheses are observed. Limits on contributions from generic Gaussian signals with various widths of the resonance mass are obtained for nine invariant masses in the anomalous regions.

Abstract
Pediatric heart failure (HF) is an important clinical disease with high hospitalization rates, morbidity, mortality and medical costs. Sacubitril/valsartan (also known as Entresto), was approved for the treatment of adult HF and is recently used in pediatrics. However, clinical therapy on children is more challenging than adults, and the pharmacokinetics of Entresto in children are still largely unknown and urgently needed. Herein, we aim to develop a simple and sensitive analytic method to monitor Entresto in pediatric patients, which is of great importance for individualized safe medication in children. Specifically, a liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method for simultaneously quantification of valsartan, sacubitril and its bio-active metabolite sacubitrilat in human plasma has been developed and validated in pediatric patients. Plasma samples were pretreated with acetonitrile for protein precipitation. Elution was performed on X Select HSS T3 column (2.1 × 100 mm, 5 µm; Waters) column using an isocratic mobile phase process consisting of 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution and 0.1% formic acid acetonit rile with a total run time of 3.0 min. Valsartan-d3, sacubitrilin-d4 and sacubitrilat-d4 were used as the corresponding deuterium internal standards. According to the Bioanalytical Method Validation Guidance for Industry, the method was validated in the range of 0.5-5000 ng/mL. Intra- and inter-day accuracy of sacubitril,valsartan and sacubitrilat ranged from 93%- 108%, 98%- 109%, 91%- 102%, respectively, with relative standard deviation of precision ranging from 2.0% to 5.1%, 2.4%- 7.5%, 1,3%- 7.4%. The proposed method demonstrated good accuracy, precision and linearity. The matrix factors normalized by internal standard meet the acceptance criteria. The method was fully validated and applied in 39 children. Trough concentration of the three substances to be measured were: valsartan (11.3-938.0 ng/mL), sacubitril (0.5-395.5 ng/mL) and sacubitrilat (522.1-4890.0 ng/mL). Overall, this is the first study to simultaneously determined the plasma valsartan, sacubitril and sacubitrilat concentrations in children, which is believed to facilitate the clinical management of pediatric HF.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of WZγ production and a measurement of its cross section using 140.1±1.2 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The WZγ production cross section, with both the W and Z bosons decaying leptonically, pp→WZγ→ℓ^{'}^{±}νℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}γ (ℓ^{(^{'})}=e, μ), is measured in a fiducial phase-space region defined such that the leptons and the photon have high transverse momentum and the photon is isolated. The cross section is found to be 2.01±0.30(stat)±0.16(syst) fb. The corresponding standard model predicted cross section calculated at next-to-leading order in perturbative quantum chromodynamics and at leading order in the electroweak coupling constant is 1.50±0.06 fb. The observed significance of the WZγ signal is 6.3σ, compared with an expected significance of 5.0σ.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The mortality of acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) with malperfusion syndrome (MPS) is high. However, the management strategy remains controversial. We aimed to evaluate the strategy for MPS at our institution. METHODS Among 724 patients with ATAAD, 167 patients with MPS were treated with immediate central repair (first stage) or an optimized strategy (second stage). In the second stage, the optimized strategy used was based on 6-hour threshold from symptom onset. For MPS with symptom onset within 6 hours, immediate central repair was performed, followed by endovascular reperfusion if malperfusion persisted. With symptom onset beyond 6 hours, individualized delayed central repair was performed. We compared outcomes between the first and second stages. RESULTS The in-hospital mortality of ATAAD was significantly decreased when the optimized strategy was used (4.3% in the second stage vs 12.5% in the first stage; P < .01). In the second stage, the in-hospital mortality for MPS was decreased (10.2% vs 33.9%; P < .01). Moreover, the in-hospital mortality for MPS with symptom onset within 6 hours and beyond 6 hours decreased from 24% to 7.5% and from 41.2% to 11.8%, respectively. The operative mortality of MPS in the second stage was comparable to that in patients without MPS (4.0% vs 2.4%; P > .05). CONCLUSIONS The optimized strategy significantly improved the outcomes of MPS. The 6-hour threshold from symptom onset could be very useful in determining the timing of central repair. For patients with MPS symptom onset within 6 hours, immediate central repair is reasonable; for those with symptom onset beyond 6 hours, individualized delayed central repair should be considered.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate whether there is a correlation between the inflammatory state and the pathogenesis and clinical features of sudden hearing loss (SHL) by studying the expression of inflammation-related cytokines in the peripheral blood of patients with SHL. METHODS In this work, we analyzed the cytokine profiles of 48 analytes in 38 patients with SHL compared to 38 healthy donors using a multiplex immunoassay. This study used appropriate statistical methods to screen for inflammatory cytokines associated with the pathogenesis of SHL, to analyze their network correlation, and to analyze the relationship between clinical features of SHL and inflammatory cytokines. RESULTS Several cytokines, including CTACK, Eotaxin, HGF, INF-α2, IFN-β, IL-1β, IL-1ra, IL-2Rα, IL-4, IL-7, IL-8, IL-9, IL-10, IL-12(p40), IL-13, MIG, β-NGF, SCF, and TNF-α, exhibited significantly higher levels in the peripheral blood of the SHL group compared to the control group. An inflammatory network composed of multiple cytokines, including IL-1β, is a risk factor for the development of SHL. CONCLUSION This study identified several inflammatory cytokines with elevated expression, which may be linked with the onset of SHL. Abstract
A search for events with a dark photon produced in association with a dark Higgs boson via rare decays of the standard model Z boson is presented, using 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The dark boson decays into a pair of dark photons, and at least two of the three dark photons must each decay into a pair of electrons or muons, resulting in at least two same-flavor opposite-charge lepton pairs in the final state. The data are found to be consistent with the background prediction, and upper limits are set on the dark photon's coupling to the dark Higgs boson times the kinetic mixing between the standard model photon and the dark photon, α_{D}ϵ^{2}, in the dark photon mass range of [5, 40] GeV except for the ϒ mass window [8.8, 11.1] GeV. This search explores new parameter space not previously excluded by other experiments.

Abstract
The goal of this study was to develop a ferroptosis-based molecular signature that can predict recurrence-free survival (RFS) in patients with prostate cancer (PCa). In this study, we obtained ferroptosis-related genes (FRGs) in FerrDb database and clinical transcriptome data in TCGA database and GEO database. Consensus cluster analysis was used to identify three molecular markers of ferroptosis in PCa with differential expression of 40 FRGs, including PD-L1 expression levels. We conducted a new ferroptosis-related signature for PCa RFS using four FRGs identified through univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. The signature was validated in the training, testing, and validation cohorts, and it demonstrated remarkable results in the area under the time-dependent receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of 0.757, 0.715, and 0.732, respectively. Additionally, we observed that younger patients, those with stage T III and stage T IV, stage N0, cluster 1, and cluster 2 PCa were more accurately predicted by the signature as independent predictors of RFS. DU-145 and RWPE-1 cells were successfully analyzed by qRT-PCR and Western blot for ASNS, GPT2, RRM2, and NFE2L2. In summary, we developed a novel ferroptosis-based signature for RFS in PC, utilizing four FRGs identified through univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. This signature was rigorously validated across training, testing, and validation cohorts, demonstrating exceptional performance as evidenced by its ROC curves. Notably, our findings indicate that this signature is particularly effective as an independent predictor of RFS in younger patients or those with stage T III and T IV, stage N0, and in clusters 1 and 2. Finally, we confirmed the expression of these four FRGs in DU-145 and RWPE-1 cell lines.

Abstract
Carmine radish (Raphanus sativus L.) is famousforcontaininganaturalredpigment(redradishpigment) that grown in Fuling, Chongqing City, China. MATE (multidrug and toxic compound extrusion), as an integral member of the multidrug efflux transporter family, has various functions in plants. However, noinformationhasbeenavailableaboutcharacteristicsoftheMATEgenefamily in carmine radish. In this study, total of 85 candidate MATE gene family members classifiedinto 4 groups were identified and foundtobewidelyandrandomlydistributedindifferent genome. Synteny analysis revealed that twenty-one segmental and ten tandem duplications acted as important regulators for the expansion of RsMATE genes. The Ka/Ks ratios of RsMATE indicated that RsMATE may have undergone intense purification in the radish genome. Cis-acting element analysis of RsMATE in the promoter region indicated that RsMATE were mainly related to the abiotic stress response and phytohormone. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) showed that RsMATE40-b, RsMATE16-b and RsMATE13-a genes were significantly expressed under ABA (abscisic acid) and NaCl stress treatments respectively. In addition, the expression patterns of fifteen key RsMATE genes were investigated in 'XCB' (Xichangbai) and 'HX' (Hongxin) roots under Cadmium (Cd) stress for different treatment times using qRT-PCR, of those, RsMATE49-b, RsMATE33 and RsMATE26 transcripts were strongly altered at different time points in XCB responsive to Cd stress,compared to HX. This study will provide valuable insights for studying the functional characterization of the MATE gene in carmine radish and other plants.

Abstract
Nitrous oxide (N2O) production is associated with ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (amoA-AOB) and denitrifying fungi (nirK-fungi) during the incorporation of biochar and biogas residue composting. This research examined the relative contribution of alterations in the abundance, diversity and structure of amoA-AOB and nirK-fungi communities on N2O emission by real-time PCR and sequence processing. Results showed that N2O emissions showed an extreme relation with the abundance of amoA-AOB (rs = 0.584) while giving credit to nirK-fungi (rs = 0.500). Nitrosomonas and Nitrosospira emerged as the dominant genera driving ammoxidation process. Biogas residue changed the community structure of AOB by altering Nitrosomonadaceae proportion and physiological capacity. The denitrification process, primarily governed by nirK-fungi, served as a crucial pathway for N2O production, unveiling the pivotal mechanism of biochar to suppress N2O emissions. C/N and NH4+-N were identified as significant parameters influencing the distribution of nirK-fungi, especially Micromonospora, Halomonas and Mesorhizobium.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of single top quarks produced together with a photon, which directly probes the electroweak coupling of the top quark. The analysis uses 139 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Requiring a photon with transverse momentum larger than 20 GeV and within the detector acceptance, the fiducial cross section is measured to be 688±23(stat) _{-71}^{+75}(syst) fb, to be compared with the standard model prediction of 515_{-42}^{+36} fb at next-to-leading order in QCD.

Abstract
Gene tree discordance is a significant legacy of biological evolution. Multiple factors can result in incongruence among genes, such as introgression, incomplete lineage sorting (ILS), gene duplication or loss. Resolving the background of gene tree discordance is a critical way to uncover the process of species diversification. Camellia, the largest genus in Theaceae, has controversial taxonomy and systematics due in part to a complex evolutionary history. We used 60 transcriptomes of 55 species, which represented 15 sections of Camellia to investigate its phylogeny and the possible causes of gene tree discordance. We conducted gene tree discordance analysis based on 1,617 orthologous low-copy nuclear genes, primarily using coalescent species trees and polytomy tests to distinguish hard and soft conflict. A selective pressure analysis was also performed to assess the impact of selection on phylogenetic topology reconstruction. Our results detected different levels of gene tree discordance in the backbone of Camellia, and recovered rapid diversification as one of the possible causes of gene tree discordance. Furthermore, we confirmed that none of the currently proposed sections of Camellia was monophyletic. Comparisons among datasets partitioned under different selective pressure regimes showed that integrating all orthologous genes provided the best phylogenetic resolution of the species tree of Camellia. The findings of this study reveal rapid diversification as a major source of gene tree discordance in Camellia and will facilitate future investigation of reticulate relationships at the species level in this important plant genus.

Abstract
A key open question in the study of multiparticle production in high-energy pp collisions is the relationship between the "ridge"-i.e., the observed azimuthal correlations between particles in the underlying event that extend over all rapidities-and hard or semihard scattering processes. In particular, it is not known whether jets or their soft fragments are correlated with particles in the underlying event. To address this question, two-particle correlations are measured in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV using data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, with an integrated luminosity of 15.8 pb^{-1}, in two different configurations. In the first case, charged particles associated with jets are excluded from the correlation analysis, while in the second case, correlations are measured between particles within jets and charged particles from the underlying event. Second-order flow coefficients, v_{2}, are presented as a function of event multiplicity and transverse momentum. These measurements show that excluding particles associated with jets does not affect the measured correlations. Moreover, particles associated with jets do not exhibit any significant azimuthal correlations with the underlying event, ruling out hard processes contributing to the ridge.

Abstract
Neutrinoless double beta decay (0νββ) is a yet unobserved nuclear process that would demonstrate Lepton number violation, a clear evidence of beyond standard model physics. The process two neutrino double beta decay (2νββ) is allowed by the standard model and has been measured in numerous experiments. In this Letter, we report a measurement of 2νββ decay half-life of ^{100}Mo to the ground state of ^{100}Ru of [7.07±0.02(stat)±0.11(syst)]×10^{18} yr by the CUPID-Mo experiment. With a relative precision of ±1.6% this is the most precise measurement to date of a 2νββ decay rate in ^{100}Mo. In addition, we constrain higher-order corrections to the spectral shape, which provides complementary nuclear structure information. We report a novel measurement of the shape factor ξ_{3,1}=0.45±0.03(stat)±0.05(syst) based on a constraint on the ratio of higher-order terms from theory, which can be reliably calculated. This is compared to theoretical predictions for different nuclear models. We also extract the first value for the effective axial vector coupling constant obtained from a spectral shape study of 2νββ decay.

Abstract
A search is made for potential ccc[over ¯]c[over ¯] tetraquarks decaying into a pair of charmonium states in the four muon final state using proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} recorded by the ATLAS experiment at LHC. Two decay channels, J/ψ+J/ψ→4μ and J/ψ+ψ(2S)→4μ, are studied. Backgrounds are estimated based on a hybrid approach involving Monte Carlo simulations and data-driven methods. Statistically significant excesses with respect to backgrounds dominated by the single parton scattering are seen in the di-J/ψ channel consistent with a narrow resonance at 6.9 GeV and a broader structure at lower mass. A statistically significant excess is also seen in the J/ψ+ψ(2S) channel. The fitted masses and decay widths of the structures are reported.

Abstract
This Letter reports the observation of τ-lepton-pair production in ultraperipheral lead-lead collisions Pb+Pb→Pb(γγ→ττ)Pb and constraints on the τ-lepton anomalous magnetic moment a_{τ}. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.44 nb^{-1} of LHC Pb+Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment in 2018. Selected events contain one muon from a τ-lepton decay, an electron or charged-particle track(s) from the other τ-lepton decay, little additional central-detector activity, and no forward neutrons. The γγ→ττ process is observed in Pb+Pb collisions with a significance exceeding 5 standard deviations and a signal strength of μ_{ττ}=1.03_{-0.05}^{+0.06} assuming the standard model value for a_{τ}. To measure a_{τ}, a template fit to the muon transverse-momentum distribution from τ-lepton candidates is performed, using a dimuon (γγ→μμ) control sample to constrain systematic uncertainties. The observed 95% confidence-level interval for a_{τ} is -0.057

Abstract
We propose exploiting the superluminal plasma wake for coherent Cherenkov radiation by injecting a relativistic electron beam (REB) into a plasma with a slowly varying density up-ramp. Using three-dimensional particle-in-cell and far-field time-domain radiation simulations, we show that an isolated subcycle pulse is coherently emitted towards the Cherenkov angle by bubble-sheath electrons successively at the rear of the REB-induced superluminal plasma wake. A theoretical model based on a superluminal current dipole has been developed to interpret such coherent radiation, and agrees well with the simulation results. This radiation has ultrashort attosecond-scale duration and high intensity, and exhibits excellent directionality with ultralow angular divergence and stable carrier envelope phase. Its intensity increases with the square of the propagation length and its central frequency can be easily tuned over a wide range, from the far infrared to the ultraviolet.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT) with FDG signal collected via an on-board positron emission tomography (PET) system integrated in an O-ring gantry Linac was recently cleared by the FDA for lung and bone lesions. This study aims to determine if BgRT plans, guided via PET signal, are clinically acceptable for FDG-avid lesions in disease sites beyond bone and lung. MATERIALS/METHODS Ten patients previously treated for lesions in the liver, head and neck (HN), pancreas, renal and pelvic-abdominal lymph nodes were identified. Diagnostic PET/CT images of these treatment sites were first collected and processed/converted to mimic PET images that are acquired on PET-Linac and would be used to guide the delivery. For BgRT planning, the PTV was generated with 5 mm margin from GTV and a Biology Tracking Zone was generated including the anticipated full range of target motion. BgRT plans, guided by the emulated PET signal, were generated with 46Gy in 3 fractions for liver and 40Gy in 5 fractions for all other sites. BgRT plan deliverability was first assessed by evaluating the Activity Concentration (AC) and Normalized Target Signals (NTS) on converted PET images with the goal to meet NTS >2 (hard constraint) and AC >5kBq/ml (goal). BgRT plan quality was then evaluated with institutional guidelines on PTV coverage, OAR doses, conformity index (CI) and Heterogeneity index (HI). RESULTS BgRT plans were successfully generated for 11 target lesions among ten patients. The average diagnostic PET SUV, derived NTS and AC on converted PET images were 12.62, 9.33 and 12.10 kBq/ml, respectively. All images met the NTS constraints, and 8/11 plans met the AC goal for deliverability. All plans met the OAR hard constraints such as max dose on duodenum, small bowel, large bowel and spinal cord. Five of 11 plans had a limiting GI structure that resulted in an expected reduction in PTV coverage with an average PTV V100% = 77.9%, CI of 1.4, HI of 1.36 and max dose of 133.8%. The other 6 of 11 cases met the PTV V100% = 95%, had an average CI of 1.1, HI of 1.28 and Dmax of 127.67%. The estimated average time for BgRT delivery was 17 mins 25 secs. Although these plan parameters are deemed to be clinically acceptable, heterogeneity was detected inside the target region and suboptimal dose fall off was observed in some cases that may be caused by current implementation. CONCLUSION This preliminary study showed that BgRT plans were generated successfully with emulated PET images on 11 treatment sites covering HN, abdominal and pelvic regions. All plans met NTS constraints and 8 out of 11 met AC goals for deliverability. The plan quality of all BgRT plans were clinically acceptable based on institutional constraints. Further investigations are required to test more patients/sites for BgRT plan feasibility. Dosimetric benefit from margin reduction of BgRT target should also be investigated in future study.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) SGRT has been demonstrated as a promising supplement to CBCT in adjuvant breast cancer radiotherapy, but a rational combination mode is lacking in clinical practice. The aim of this study was to explore this mode and investigate its impact on setup and dose accuracy. MATERIALS/METHODS Both daily SGRT and weekly CBCT images were acquired for 23 breast cancer patients receiving conventional fractionated radiotherapy after lumpectomy. Based on the scanning frequencies and time intervals of CBCT, sixteen modes were acquired by randomly selecting one (CBCT1), two (CBCTij), three (CBCTijk), four (CBCTijkl), and five (CBCT12345) images from the patient's off-line CBCT images for fusion with SGRT. Due to TPS system limitations, the 6D SGRT setup errors were transformed into 3D deviations in the translational directions, and the CTV-PTV margins, the dose coverage (V95%) of PTV and CTV, and the OAR doses (the ipsilateral lung's V5, V10, V20, and Dmean, the contralateral breast's V3 and Dmean, and the heart's Dmean and Dmax) were calculated based on the 3D deviations with different regions of interest (ROIs). Dose correlations between these modalities were investigated using Pearson and Spearman's methods. RESULTS For the ipsilateral breast ROI, the larger SGRT errors in the AP direction and higher target doses were found in all modes compared to the whole breast ROI (P < 0.05). In the ipsilateral ROI, the CTV-PTV margins decreased as CBCT frequencies increased, reaching approximately 5 mm for CBCTijkl and CBCT12345. The decline of Σ (systematic errors) was greater than the decline of σ (random errors), and it contributed more to the decline of margins. For the same frequency, the CBCT time intervals had essentially little influence on the errors and margins. Compared with other directions, the margins in the SI direction were the largest for all modes except for CBCT124 and CBCT125. The target dose correlations between all modes increased with increasing CBCT time intervals, decreased and then increased with increasing CBCT frequencies, with the turning point observed at week 5 of CBCT participation. The dose deviations in CBCT123, CBCT124, CBCT125, CBCTijkl, and CBCT12345 were minimal and not significantly different (P > 0.05). There was excellent agreement in CBCT124 vs. CBCT1234, and (CBCTijkl, CBCT12345) vs. CBCT125 in determining the classification for the percentage of PTV deviation (Kappa = 0.775-0.901). The frequencies and time intervals of CBCT had little effect on the OAR doses. For all modes, there were strong correlations (R > 0.9) in the OAR doses between different modes, except for the ipsilateral lung's V20 and Dmean (R = 0.734-0.987). CONCLUSION Based on weekly CBCT, these modes with the ipsilateral breast ROI and a combination of daily SGRT and CBCT frequencies of ≥ 3 were recommended, and the CBCT was required at weeks 1 and 2. Considering the additional radiation, time consumption, and expensive cost of CBCT, modes CBCT124 and CBCT125 could replace the modes with higher CBCT frequencies.

Abstract
High lipid, high nitrogen duck manure (DM) with high lipid, high lignocellulosic litter materials (LM) are the main wet biomass wastes from duck farms and both are naturally abundant carbon resources. The synthesis of duck farming biomass waste into carbon-rich materials for high value utilization by hydrothermal carbonization (HTC), which can directly treat wet biomass, has not been investigated. In this study, the physicochemical properties of hydrochar derived from co-HTC of DM and LM and its carbon and energy recovery patterns were systematically investigated under multivariate conditions of raw materials ratios, solids contents, temperatures and residence times. The application of synchrotron-based near-edge X-ray adsorption fine structure technique (C K-edge NEXAFS) combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to the hydrochar and hydrothermal liquid, respectively. At multiple interfaces provided an in-depth analysis of the important material transformations of the co-HTC process and the structure of the hydrochar. Extending residence time (180 min) and increasing LM ratio (M@4%) in co-HTC reaction of DM and LM is beneficial to achieve hydrochar containing higher carbon content (44.84%) at lower reaction temperatures (180 °C). The heating value (HHV) of the hydrochar ranges between 17.12 and 25.05 MJ/kg. The carbon recovery rate of the co-HTC of DM and LM all exceeded 55% and was more closely related to the carbon content of the hydrochar than to its yield. Additionally, the model ERR=0.97±0.01CRR+2.40±0.71 (R2 = 0.99, P < 0.01) was developed to predict energy recovery rate (ERR) based on carbon recovery rate (CRR). Esters were an important intermediate during co-HTC of DM and LM, and the derived hydrochar consisted of a wide range of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, alkanes and N-aromatic heterocycles as well as polyfuran, pyrrole and pyridine structures.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the evaluation of radiation-induced sinusitis (RIS), MRI-based scoring system was used to evaluate the development regularity, characteristics and influencing factors of RIS in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed by collecting the clinical and MRI data of 346 NPC patients to analyze the characteristics and prognosis of RIS. The predictive model was constructed according to the influencing factors of RIS. RESULTS (1) In the 2-year follow-up after radiotherapy (RT), there was significant change in L-M score in both groups of NPC patients (sinusitis before RT group: p = 0.000 vs. non-sinusitis before RT group: p = 0.000). After 6 months of RT, the L-M scores of the two groups tended to plateau (sinusitis before RT group: p = 0.311 vs. non-sinusitis before RT group: p = 0.469). (2) The prevalence of sinusitis in two groups of NPC patients (without or with sinusitis before RT) was 83% vs. 93%, 91% vs. 99%, 94% vs. 98% at 1, 6 and 24 months after RT, respectively. (3) In the patients without sinusitis before RT, the incidence of sinusitis in maxillary and anterior/posterior ethmoid, sphenoid and frontal sinuses was 87.1%, 90.0%/87.1%, 49.5%, 11.8% respectively, 1 month after RT. (4) A regression model was established according to the univariate and multivariate analysis of the factors related to RIS (smoking history: p = 0.000, time after RT: p = 0.008 and TNM staging: p = 0.040). CONCLUSION (1) RIS is a common complication in NPC patients after RT. This disorder progressed within 6 months after RT, stabilized and persisted within 6 months to 2 years. There is a high incidence of maxillary sinus and ethmoid sinus inflammation in NPC patients after RT. (2) Smoking history, time after RT and TNM staging were significant independent risk factors for RIS. (3) The intervention of the risk factors in the model may prevent or reduce the occurrence of RIS in NPC patients.

Abstract
Background There are discrepancies of olfactory impairment between Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative disorders. Olfactory deficits may be a potential marker for early and differential diagnosis of AD. We aimed to assess olfactory functions in patients with AD and other neurodegenerative disorders, to further evaluate the smell tests using subgroup analysis, and to explore moderating factors affecting olfactory performance. Methods Cross-sectional studies relating to olfactory assessment for both AD and other neurodegenerative disorders published before 27 July 2022 in English, were searched on PubMed, Embase and Cochrane. After literature screening and quality assessment, meta-analyses were conducted using stata14.0 software. Results Forty-two articles involving 12 smell tests that evaluated 2,569 AD patients were included. It was revealed that smell tests could distinguish AD from mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Lewy body disease (LBD), depression, and vascular dementia (VaD), but not from diseases such as frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Our finding indicated that in discriminating AD from MCI, the University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test (UPSIT) was most frequently used (95%CI: -1.12 to -0.89), while the Brief Smell Identification Test (B-SIT), was the most widely used method in AD vs. LBD group. Further subgroup analyses indicated that the methods of smell test used contributed to the heterogeneity in olfactory threshold and discrimination scores in group AD vs. MCI. While the moderating variables including age, MMSE scores, education years in AD vs. LBD, were account for heterogeneity across studies. Conclusion Our finding suggests smell tests have potential value in early differential diagnosis of AD. UPSIT and its simplified variant, B-SIT, are widely used methods in the analyses. Abstract
Aortic dissection, characterized by severe intramural hematoma formation and acute endometrial rupture, is caused by excessive bleeding within the aortic wall or a severe tear within the intimal layer of the aorta, which subsequently promotes the separation or dissection in the layers of the aortic wall. Epidemiological surveys showed that aortic dissection was most observed among those patients from 55 to 80 years of age, with a prevalence of approximately 40 cases per 100,000 individuals per year, posing serious risks to future health and leading to high mortality. Other risk factors of aortic dissection progression contained dyslipidemia, hypertension, and genetic disorders, such as Marfan syndrome. Currently, emerging evidence indicates the pathological progression of aortic dissection is significantly complicated, which is correlated with the aberrant infiltration of pro-inflammatory cells into the aortic wall, subsequently facilitating the apoptosis of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and inducing the aberrant expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and interferon (IF). Other pro-inflammatory-related cytokines, including the colony-stimulating factor (CSF), chemotactic factor, and growth factor (GF), played an essential function in facilitating aortic dissection. Multiple studies focused on the important relationship between pro-inflammatory cytokines and aortic dissection, which could deepen the understanding of aortic dissection and further guide the therapeutic strategies in clinical practice. The present review elucidated pro-inflammatory cytokines' functions in modulating the risk of aortic dissection are summarized. Moreover, the emerging evidence that aimed to elucidate the potential mechanisms wherebyvarious pro-inflammatory cytokines affected the pathological development of aortic dissection was also listed.

Abstract
Jet quenching is the process of color-charged partons losing energy via interactions with quark-gluon plasma droplets created in heavy-ion collisions. The collective expansion of such droplets is well described by viscous hydrodynamics. Similar evidence of collectivity is consistently observed in smaller collision systems, including pp and p+Pb collisions. In contrast, while jet quenching is observed in Pb+Pb collisions, no evidence has been found in these small systems to date, raising fundamental questions about the nature of the system created in these collisions. The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider has measured the yield of charged hadrons correlated with reconstructed jets in 0.36 nb^{-1} of p+Pb and 3.6 pb^{-1} of pp collisions at 5.02 TeV. The yields of charged hadrons with p_{T}^{ch}>0.5 GeV near and opposite in azimuth to jets with p_{T}^{jet}>30 or 60 GeV, and the ratios of these yields between p+Pb and pp collisions, I_{pPb}, are reported. The collision centrality of p+Pb events is categorized by the energy deposited by forward neutrons from the struck nucleus. The I_{pPb} values are consistent with unity within a few percent for hadrons with p_{T}^{ch}>4 GeV at all centralities. These data provide new, strong constraints that preclude almost any parton energy loss in central p+Pb collisions.

Abstract
A search for a long-lived, heavy neutral lepton (N) in 139 fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is reported. The N is produced via W→Nμ or W→Ne and decays into two charged leptons and a neutrino, forming a displaced vertex. The N mass is used to discriminate between signal and background. No signal is observed, and limits are set on the squared mixing parameters of the N with the left-handed neutrino states for the N mass range 3 GeV

Abstract
A test of CP invariance in Higgs boson production via vector-boson fusion has been performed in the H→γγ channel using 139 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The optimal observable method is used to probe the CP structure of interactions between the Higgs boson and electroweak gauge bosons, as described by an effective field theory. No sign of CP violation is observed in the data. Constraints are set on the parameters describing the strength of the CP-odd component in the coupling between the Higgs boson and the electroweak gauge bosons in two effective field theory bases: d[over ˜] in the HISZ basis and c_{HW[over ˜]} in the Warsaw basis. The results presented are the most stringent constraints on CP violation in the coupling between Higgs and weak bosons. The 95% C.L. constraint on d[over ˜] is derived for the first time and the 95% C.L. constraint on c_{HW[over ˜]} has been improved by a factor of 5 compared to the previous measurement.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to develop an anti-PDL1-based interferon (IFN) fusion protein to overcome the chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV)-induced immune tolerance, and combine this immunotherapy with a HBV vaccine to achieve the functional cure of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection. DESIGN We designed an anti-PDL1-IFNα heterodimeric fusion protein, in which one arm was derived from anti-PDL1 antibody and the other arm was IFNα, to allow targeted delivery of IFNα into the liver by anti-PDL1 antibody. The effect of the anti-PDL1-IFNα heterodimer on overcoming hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) vaccine resistance was evaluated in chronic HBV carrier mice. RESULTS The anti-PDL1-IFNα heterodimer preferentially targeted the liver and resulted in viral suppression, the PD1/PDL1 immune checkpoint blockade and dendritic cell activation/antigen presentation to activate HBsAg-specific T cells, thus breaking immune tolerance in chronic HBV carrier mice. When an HBsAg vaccine was administered soon after anti-PDL1-IFNα heterodimer treatment, we observed strong anti-HBsAg antibody and HBsAg-specific T cell responses for efficient HBsAg clearance in chronic HBV carrier mice that received the combination treatment but not in those that received either single treatment. CONCLUSIONS Targeting the liver with an engineered anti-PDL1-IFNα heterodimer can break HBV-induced immune tolerance to an HBsAg vaccine, offering a promising translatable therapeutic strategy for the functional cure of CHB.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION We performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the effect of en-bloc transurethral resection vs. conventional transurethral resection for primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. METHODS A systematic literature search up to January 2022 was done and 28 studies included 3714 primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer subjects at the start of the study; 1870 of them were en-bloc transurethral resection, and 1844 were conventional transurethral resection for primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. We calculated the odds-ratio (OR) and mean-difference (MD) with 95% confidence-intervals (CIs) to evaluate the effect of en-bloc transurethral resection compared with conventional transurethral resection for primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer by the dichotomous or continuous methods with random or fixed-effects models. RESULTS En-bloc transurethral resection had significantly lower twenty-four-month recurrence (OR: 0.63; 95%CI: 0.50-0.78; p < 0.001), catheterization-time (MD: -0.66; 95%CI: -1.02-[-0.29]; p < 0.001), length of hospital stay (MD: -0.95; 95%CI: -1.55-[-0.34]; p = 0.002), postoperative bladder irrigation duration (MD: -6.06; 95%CI: -9.45-[-2.67]; p < 0.001), obturator nerve reflex (OR: 0.08; 95%CI: 0.02-0.34; p = 0.03), and bladder perforation (OR: 0.14; 95%CI: 0.06-0.36: p < 0.001) and no significant difference in the 12-month-recurrence (OR: 0.79; 95%CI: 0.61-1.04; p = 0.09), the operation time (MD: 0.67; 95%CI: -1.92 to 3.25; p = 0.61), and urethral stricture (OR: 0.46; 95%CI: 0.14-1.47; p = 0.0.19) compared with conventional transurethral resection for primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer subjects. CONCLUSIONS En-bloc transurethral resection had a significantly lower twenty-four-month recurrence, catheterization time, length of hospital stay, postoperative bladder irrigation duration, obturator nerve reflex, bladder perforation, and no significant difference in the twelve-month recurrence, operation time, and urethral stricture compared with conventional transurethral resection for primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer subjects. Further studies are required.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE At present, there is still no definite conclusion on whether advanced gastric cancer (GC) requires additional para-aortic nodes dissection (PAND). The purpose of this study is to summarize current evidence on the potential benefits of the extended systemic lymphadenectomy (D2+) compared to D2 lymphadenectomy in the treatment of gastric cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS Systematic literature search was performed across PubMed, Embase, Cochrane library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals, and China Biology Medicine disc using the following terms: gastric cancer, para-aortic lymphadenectomy, D2+ lymphadenectomy and D3 lymphadenectomy. RevMan 5.3 software was used for the meta-analysis. RESULTS A total of 20 studies involving 5,643 patients were included, consisting of 6 randomized controlled trials (RCT) and 14 non-randomized controlled trials (nRCT). Compared with the D2 group, the operating time in the D2+ group was longer [mean difference (MD)=99.45 min, 95% confidence interval (CI) (48.93, 149.97), p<0.001], with more intra-operative blood loss [MD=262.14 mL, 95% CI (165.21, 359.07), p<0.001]. There were no significant differences in five-year overall survival (OS) [HR=1.09, 95% CI (0.95, 1.25), p=0.22] and post-operative mortality [RR=0.96, 95% CI (0.59, 1.57), p=0.88] between the two groups. The rate of post-operative complications in group D2+ was higher than that in group D2 [RR=1.42, 95% CI (1.11, 1.81), p<0.001]. CONCLUSIONS Prophylactic D2+ surgery is not recommended, since D2+ surgery is associated with an increased rate of post-operative complications and does not improve the long-term survival rate of patients with advanced gastric cancer. However, D2+ surgery (especially D2+PAND) has certain survival advantages for specific patients, and D2+PAND surgery combined with chemotherapy may potentially improve long-term survival rate.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Preterm infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) are at increased risk for dysfunctional immune responses in the postnatal period. This study aimed to verify the hypothesis that thymic function is altered in infants with BPD and changes in the expression of thymic function-related genes affect thymic development. STUDY DESIGN Included in the study were infants who had a gestational age ≤32 weeks and survived to a postmenstrual age of ≥36 weeks. The clinical features and thymic size were comparatively studied between infants with and without BPD. Thymic function and the expression of thymic function-related genes were determined in BPD infants at birth, week 2, and 4 of life. The thymic size was ultrasonographically assessed in terms of the thymic index (TI) and thymic weight index (TWI). T-cell receptor excision circles (TRECs) and gene expression were quantitatively determined by real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS Compared to non-BPD infants, their BPD counterparts had a shorter GA, lower birth weight, lower Apgar scores at birth, and were more likely to be of the male gender. BPD infants had an elevated incidence of respiratory distress syndrome and sepsis. TI was 1.73 ± 0.68 versus 2.87 ± 0.70 cm3 and TWI was 1.38 ± 0.45 versus 1.72 ± 0.28 cm3/kg in the BPD group versus the non-BPD group (p < 0.05). In BPD infants, no significant changes were observed in thymic size, lymphocyte counts, and TREC copy numbers at the first 2 weeks (p > 0.05), but they all exhibited a significant increase at week 4 (p < 0.05). BPD infants presented a trend toward increased expression of transforming growth factor-β1 and decreased expression of forkhead box protein 3 (Foxp3) from birth to week 4 (p < 0.05). Nonetheless, no significant difference was found in IL-2 or IL-7 expression at all time points (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION For preterm infants with BPD, reduced thymic size at birth might be associated with impaired thymic function. Thymic function was developmentally regulated in the BPD process.
