Abstract
(1) Background: In aquaculture, chronic stress due to high stocking density impairs animals' welfare and results in declined fishery production with low protein quality. However, most previous studies evaluated the effects of high stocking density on trout in freshwater rather than seawater. (2) Methods: Juvenile trout were reared for 84 days in circular tanks under three stocking densities, including low density ("LD", 9.15 kg/m3), moderate density ("MD", 13.65 kg/m3), and high density ("HD", 27.31 kg/m3) in seawater. The final densities of LD, MD, and HD were 22.00, 32.05 and 52.24 kg/m3, respectively. Growth performance and lipid metabolism were evaluated. (3) Results: Growth performance and feeding efficiency were significantly reduced due to chronic stress under high density in mariculture. The digestive activity of lipids was promoted in the gut of HD fish, while the concentration of triglycerides was decreased in the blood. Furthermore, decreased acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) and fatty acid synthase (FAS), increased hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) concentrations, and activated hepatic β-oxidation processes were observed in trout under HD. Redundancy analysis showed that glycerol and HSL can be used as potential markers to evaluate the growth performance of trout in mariculture. (4) Conclusions: We showed that chronic high stocking density led to negative effects on growth performance, reduced de novo synthesis of fatty acids, and enhanced lipolysis.

Abstract
Zinc is an essential micronutrient for organisms involved in regulating various biological processes. This study evaluated the effects of dietary zinc on growth performance, digestive enzyme activities, antioxidant status, and immune responses of sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus. Five experimental diets were formulated with graded levels of zinc (0, 20, 40, 60, and 80 mg/kg, respectively), and the actual dietary zinc values were 31.4, 51.0, 68.2, 91.9, and 110.8 mg/kg diet, respectively. Sea cucumbers were fed with diets for 2 months. The results showed the growth performance, amylase, and trypsin activities of sea cucumber increased significantly with zinc supplementation, and the best growth performance and enzyme activities were observed at 40 mg/kg zinc diet. Zinc supplementation significantly increased activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, anti-superoxide anion, and inhibiting hydroxyl radical, while significantly reduced the malondialdehyde content. Furthermore, the higher zinc supplementation levels resulted in significantly upregulated immune-related genes of hsp90, p105, rel, and lsz, suggesting that excessive zinc caused oxidative stress. The broken-line regression analysis of specific growth rate indicated dietary zinc requirement in juvenile sea cucumber was ~ 66.3 mg/kg diet. Overall, dietary zinc contributes to the growth and immune resistance of juvenile sea cucumber, and our study will provide insights into the rational use of dietary zinc in aquaculture.

Abstract
In recent years, the research focus on health-related behavior and chronic non-communicable diseases has shifted from the analysis on independent effects of multiple causes on a single outcome to the evaluation the complex relationships between multiple causes and multiple effects. Complex network theory, an important branch of system science, considers the relationships among factors in a network and can reveal how health-related behaviors interact with chronic diseases through a series of complex network models and indicators. This paper summarizes the definition and development of complex network theory and its commonly used models, indicators, and case studies in the field of health-related behavior and chronic disease to promote the application of complex network theory in the field of health and provide reference and tools for future research of the relationship between health-related behavior and chronic disease.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the association between alcohol consumption and hypertension and SBP, DBP and the mediating effects of body mass index (BMI) and lipid level in occupational population, and provide reference for the intervention and prevention of hypertension. Methods: Based on the data of Southwest Occupational Population Cohort from China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd., the information about the demographic characteristics, behavior and lifestyle, blood pressure and lipids level of the participants were collected through questionnaire survey, physical examination and blood biochemical test. Logistic/linear regression was used to analyze the association between alcohol consumption and hypertension, SBP and DBP. The individual and joint mediating effects of BMI, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG, and TC were explored through causal mediating analysis. A network analysis was used to explore the correlation between alcohol consumption, BMI and lipid levels, and hypertension. Results: A total of 22 887 participants were included, in whom 1 825 had newly detected hypertension. Logistic regression analysis found that current/former drinkers had a 33% increase of risk for hypertension compared with never-drinkers (OR=1.33, 95%CI:1.19-1.48). Similarly, alcohol consumption could increase SBP (β=1.05, 95%CI:0.69-1.40) and DBP (β=1.10, 95%CI:0.83-1.38). Overall, BMI and lipid levels could mediate the associations between alcohol consumption and hypertension, SBP and DBP by 21.91%, 28.40% and 22.64%, respectively. BMI and TG were the main mediators, and they were also the two nodes with the highest edge weight and bridge strength centrality in the network of alcohol consumption, BMI, lipid levels and hypertension. Conclusions: Alcohol consumption was associated with increased risk for hypertension, and BMI and TG were important mediators and key nodes in the network. It is suggested that paying attention to the alcohol consumption, BMI and TG might help prevent hypertension in occupational population.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the association between occupational noise perception and cardiovascular disease (CVD), depression symptoms, as well as their comorbidity in occupational population and provide evidence for the prevention and control of physical and mental illnesses. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was adopted, based on baseline data in population in 28 prefectures in Sichuan Province and Guizhou Province, and 33 districts (counties) in Chongqing municipality from Southwest Occupational Population Cohort from China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. during October to December 2021. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect information about noise perception, depressive symptoms, and the history of CVD. Latent profile analysis model was used to determine identify noise perception type, and multinomial logistic regression analysis was conducted to explore the relationship between different occupational noise perception types and CVD, depression symptoms and their comorbidity. Results: A total of 30 509 participants were included, the mean age was (36.6±10.5) years, and men accounted for 82.0%. The direct perception of occupational noise, psychological effects and hearing/sleep impact of occupational noise increased the risk for CVD, depressive symptoms, and their comorbidity. By using latent profile analysis, occupational noise perception was classified into four levels: low, medium, high, and very high. As the level of noise perception increased, the association with CVD, depressive symptoms, and their comorbidity increased. In fact, very high level occupational noise perception were found to increase the risk for CVD, depressive symptoms, and their comorbidity by 2.14 (95%CI: 1.73-2.65) times, 8.80 (95%CI: 7.91-9.78) times, and 17.02 (95%CI: 12.78-22.66) times respectively compared with low-level occupational noise perception. Conclusions: Different types of occupational noise perception are associated with CVD and depression symptom, especially in the form of CVD complicated with depression symptom. Furthermore, the intensity of occupational noise in the work environment should be reduced to lower the risk for physical and mental health.

Abstract
Nanoplastics (NPs) and arsenic (As) are toxic pollutants prevalent on the earth and have gained considerable attention in recent decades. Although numerous studies reported NPs and As can cause neurotoxicity there are still significant knowledge gaps in illustrating their combined toxicity and its mechanism. In this study, the co-exposure of environmentally relevant concentrations of NPs and As caused neurobehavioral toxicity in zebrafish, as evidenced by reduced swimming ability, anxiety and impaired short-term learning memory. Potentially, its toxicity mechanism is through disrupting the homeostasis of microbiota-intestine-brain axis in zebrafish. Specifically, the co-exposure reduced the 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) production in intestine, which led to lower levels of 5-HT transported by the blood circulation to the brain. Ultimately, neurobehavior was adversely affected by the reduced binding of 5-HT to its receptors. Intestine, the primary source of 5-HT, its impaired health (aggravation in oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage and histopathological alterations) induced the dysregulation in the 5-HT system, which may be induced by the increased accumulation of As in the intestine by the co-exposure. Besides, the reduced 5-HT levels were correlated with decreased Firmicutes and Protecbacteria and increased Actinobacteriota and Chloroflexi in intestines. Potentially, intestinal microbiota adversely regulates the intestine-brain axis by reducing SCFAs levels. Thus, the alteration of intestinal microbiota structure may be the other reason for the dysregulation of intestine-brain axis. In summary, co-exposure of NPs and As induced neurobehavior toxicity probably through disrupting the homeostasis of microbiota-intestine-brain axis. This study provides insights into assessing the environmental health risks of the pollution of NPs and As to aquatic organisms.

Abstract
Global warming is threatening the survival and growth of cold-water fish, and the methods to improve the high-temperature adaptability of cold-water fish need to be explored urgently. This study aims to explore the mechanism of improving high temperature tolerance of rainbow trout by temperature acclimation (TA). Rainbow trout were acclimated by two modes at 22 °C, including fluctuating TA (FA) and constant TA (CA), and thereafter subjected to heat stress (HS) at 25 °C. Results showed that TA markedly increased the critical temperature maximum (CTmax) of rainbow trout. Secondly, the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in serum and malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver of CA + HS group significantly decreased compared to those in HS group without TA, indicating the reduction of liver injury by CA. Moreover, HS significantly induced ROS production and reduced mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) in rainbow trout liver, but TA reduced the levels of ROS and increased the MMP in liver of rainbow trout after HS, indicating the reduced oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage. Furthermore, TA up-regulated the expression of genes related to mitochondrial autophagy, fusion, fission and biogenesis, as well as the expression of marker proteins of autophagy (LC3II) and mitophagy (Parkin) in the liver, so as to maintain mitochondrial homeostasis. Moreover, TA also inhibited the occurrence of apoptosis (decrease in bax/bcl-2), which may be owing to the reduced ROS and mitochondrial damage by TA. Interestingly, CA significantly up-regulated the genes expression of methyltransferase in the liver, which may inhibit the genes or transcription factors related to oxidative stress and apoptosis by DNA methylation. In conclusion, TA increased the upper limit of heat tolerance of rainbow trout by improving mitochondrial quality and inhibiting apoptosis in liver. This study will provide an effective solution to the risk of high temperature in cold-water fish culture.

Abstract
Recently, the functional microorganisms capable of eliminating nitrogenous waste have been applied in mariculture systems. As a potential candidate for treating mariculture wastewater, strain DN3 eliminated 100% of ammonia and nitrate and 96.61%-100% of nitrite within 72 h, when single nitrogen sources at concentrations of 0-50 mg/L. Strain DN3 also exhibited the efficient removal performance of mixed-form nitrogen (ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite) at salinity 30 ‰, C/N ratio 20, and 180 rpm. The nitrogen assimilation pathway dominated inorganic nitrogen metabolism, with less nitrogen (14.23%-25.02% of TN) lost into the air via nitrification and denitrification, based on nitrogen balance analysis. Moreover, the bacterial nitrification pathway was explored by enzymatic assays and inhibition assays. These complex nitrogen assimilation and dissimilation processes were further revealed by bacterial genome analysis. These results provide important insight into nitrogen metabolism of Halomonas sp. and theoretical support for treating mariculture wastewater with strain DN3.

Abstract
The nitrogen removal performance and mechanisms of Bacillus subtilis H1 isolated from a mariculture environment were investigated. Strain H1 efficiently removed NH4+-N, NO2--N, and NO3--N in simulated wastewater with removal efficiencies of 85.61%, 90.58%, and 57.82%, respectively. Strain H1 also efficiently degraded mixed nitrogen (NH4+-N mixed with NO2--N and/or NO3--N) and had removal efficiencies ranging from 82.39 to 89.54%. Nitrogen balance analysis revealed that inorganic nitrogen was degraded by heterotrophic nitrification-aerobic denitrification (HN-AD) and assimilation. 15N isotope tracing indicated that N2O was the product of the HN-AD process, while N2 as the final product was only detected during the reduction of 15NO2--N. The nitrogen assimilation and dissimilation pathways by strain H1 were further clarified using complete genome sequencing, nitrification inhibitor addition, and enzymatic activity measurement, and the ammonium oxidation process was speculated as NH4+ → NH2OH → NO → N2O. These results showed the application prospect of B. subtilis H1 in treating mariculture wastewater.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of tibial second toe free flap bridged with blood flow and nerve in the treatment of severe flexion contracture of the proximal interphalangeal joint. Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted. From March 2013 to October 2019, 9 patients with severe flexion contracture (type Ⅲ) of the proximal interphalangeal joint after trauma operation, conforming to the inclusion criteria, were hospitalized in Suzhou Ruihua Orthopaedic Hospital, including 5 males and 4 females, aged from 17 to 62 years. After the contracture tissue affecting the extension of the proximal interphalangeal joint was cut off, and the scar tissue was resected, the size of the volar wound near the proximal interphalangeal joint in extended position was 2.0 cm×1.0 cm-2.5 cm×1.5 cm, with the length of proper digital artery and nerve defect being 1.0-1.5 cm. A free flap of the same size as the wound was cut from the tibial side of the second toe and transplanted to repair the wound, and the defective proper digital artery and nerve was repaired by bridging with the tibial proper plantar digital artery and nerve of about 1.5 cm in length. The full-thickness skin graft was taken from the proximal tibial side of the lower leg to repair the wound at flap donor site. The wound at skin graft donor site was sutured directly. The survival of flap and skin graft was observed after operation. The patients were followed up, and at the last follow-up, the recovery of the affected finger and the second toe, including the donor and recipient areas were observed, the two-point discrimination distances of the flap repaired site and the pulp of the affected finger were observed and measured at the same time, the blood flow patency of bridged vessel of the affected finger was examined by Allen test, and the function of the proximal interphalangeal joint of the affected finger was evaluated according to Chinese Medical Association's standard for the range of motion of proximal interphalangeal joint. Results: The flaps and skin grafts survived smoothly after operation. The follow-up after operation lasted for 5 to 22 months, with a mean of 10 months. At the last follow-up, the flap repaired site had good shape, good color and texture, with the two-point discrimination distance being 9-12 mm, and the two-point discrimination distance of the pulp of the affected finger was 6-10 mm; the Allen test results of the affected fingers were all negative (i.e., the bridged vessels had good blood flow patency), with no recurrence of flexion contracture, and the function of the proximal interphalangeal joint was evaluated as excellent; the skin graft area of the second toe was not ruptured but was a little pigmented, and the flexion and extension activities of toe were good. Conclusions: The tibial second toe free flap bridged with blood flow and nerve has reliable therapeutic effect in the treatment of severe flexion contracture of the proximal interphalangeal joint, and the color and texture of the flap repaired area are good. Bridging to repair the severely contracted proper digital artery and nerve is beneficial to improve the blood supply of the finger body and rebuild the sensation.

Abstract
In autoimmune Type 1 diabetes (T1D), immune cells progressively infiltrate and destroy the islets of Langerhans - islands of endocrine tissue dispersed throughout the pancreas. However, it is unclear how this process, called 'insulitis', develops and progresses within this organ. Here, using highly multiplexed CO-Detection by indEXing (CODEX) tissue imaging and cadaveric pancreas samples from pre-T1D, T1D, and non-T1D donors, we examine pseudotemporal-spatial patterns of insulitis and exocrine inflammation within large pancreatic tissue sections. We identify four sub-states of insulitis characterized by CD8 + T cells at different stages of activation. We further find that exocrine compartments of pancreatic lobules affected by insulitis have distinct cellularity, suggesting that extra-islet factors may make particular lobules permissive to disease. Finally, we identify "staging areas" - immature tertiary lymphoid structures away from islets where CD8 + T cells appear to assemble before they navigate to islets. Together, these data implicate the extra-islet pancreas in autoimmune insulitis, greatly expanding the boundaries of T1D pathogenesis.

Abstract
As a carrier, nanoplastics (NPs) can adsorb other toxic substances and thus modify their biological toxicity. Numerous studies have investigated the neurotoxic of high concentrations of arsenic (As, 2.83 mg/L-5 mg/L). However, it is still unknown whether the relatively low environmentally relevant concentrations of As (200 μg/L) can damage the structure and function of fish brains with the presence of NPs. In this study, zebrafish were exposed to polystyrene NPs, As and their mixture for 30 days respectively. Firstly, we found that the presence of NPs promoted the accumulation of As in zebrafish brains. Thereby the co-exposure of NPs and As further promoted the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in zebrafish brains compared with the single exposure of NPs or As, resulting in severe oxidative stress. Moreover, accumulated ROS directly damaged the mitochondrial membrane and mtDNA in zebrafish brains. Moreover, the mitochondrial damage was further aggravated due to inhibited mitochondrial fusion and activated mitochondrial division and mitophagy. Ultimately, the co-exposure led to mitochondrial damage in the zebrafish brain. Damaged mitochondria may not meet the high energy metabolic requirement for neuronal function. As a result, the normal function of nerve cells was adversely affected and eventually cell apoptosis may occur. Besides, the co-exposure caused more significant structural alterations in zebrafish brain tissue. Finally, the co-exposure of NPs and As caused abnormal biosynthesis and degradation of dopamine and acetylcholine. These resulted in decreased dopamine levels and increased acetylcholine levels in zebrafish brains. In conclusion, the presence of NPs promoted the accumulation of As, thereby inducing severe oxidative stress, which caused structural alterations and mitochondrial damage in the zebrafish brain, thus disordering neuromodulation, which may ultimately cause neurological dysfunction in zebrafish. This study will provide a risk assessment for evaluating the biotoxicity of NPs and As to fish and even other animals.

Abstract
This study aims to explore the effects of dietary selenium on hepatic mitochondrial quality and energy supply of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) fed with high-fat diet (HFD) after heat stress (HS). Grass carp were fed with HFD, and HFD contained 0.3 mg/kg nano-selenium for 10 weeks, thereafter exposed to HS from 26 to 34 °C, and named the HFD + HS (control) group and the HFD + Se + HS group, respectively. The results show that selenium significantly prompted the growth, increased glutathione peroxidase (GPX) activity, but reduced malondialdehyde (MDA) content in the liver and the levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in the serum of grass carp fed with HFD after HS. Further, selenium alleviated mitochondrial damage and increased the number of mitochondrial DNA copies in the liver of the grass carp fed with HFD after HS. And selenium also maintained mitochondrial homeostasis by upregulating the expression of mitochondrial quality control-related genes (pgc-1α, nrf1/2, tfam, opa1, mfn1/2, and drp1), mitophagy-related genes (beclin1, atg5, atg12, pink1, and parkin), and the protein expression of parkin and LC3-II/I in the liver of grass carp. Finally, selenium reduced the triglyceride (TG) level and increased the free fatty acid (FFA) level and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production in the liver of grass carp fed with HFD after HS. In conclusion, dietary selenium alleviated liver damage and improved liver mitochondrial quality and ATP production by increasing liver antioxidant capacity and promoting liver mitochondrial quality in grass carp fed with HFD after HS, which help grass carp to resist these two stressors.

Abstract
Environmental impacts of the first submersible salmonid culture cage, which was launched in the deep-sea of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass, were investigated. The temporal and spatial variations of several physicochemical parameters were observed in both the bottom and sediment pore water. Aquaculture activities decreased bacterial richness in the sediment. The dominant phyla Proteobacteria, Desulfobacterota and Acidobacteriota, accounted for 30.42 % of the total bacteria community. Principal component analysis indicated that the bacterial composition in December was different from that in the other three months, and the aquaculture activity affected the distribution of the sediment microbial community in June, August and April. Planctomycetes was selected as biomarkers in the aquaculture area by linear discriminant analysis effect size. Redundancy analysis showed that the biomarkers were positively correlated with temperature and the concentration of nitrite in June, and negatively correlated with the dissolved oxygen in August and April.

Abstract
Introduction Previous Electronic Health Records (EHR) based studies adopted various definitions in identifying Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD) patients. There is a lack of similar attempts among Chinese population which limits the understanding of TRD in China. Objectives Assess TRD identification using EHR from a major psychiatric hospital in China. Methods This study utilized a retrospective Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) cohort of patients who newly initiated pharmaceutical treatment (2010-2018); follow-up was ended upon 1-year or treatment discontinuation (≥120d without treatment). TRD was first identified based on common clinical definition of two prior regimen failures (change of regimen) with 4-week as regimen adequacy threshold (Def1). Alternative adequacy thresholds of 2-week and 6-week were applied. Based on Def1 (4-week), at least 3 distinctive regimens were additionally required in TRD identification (Def2). Further, a data-driven definition (Def3) based on drug count as having ≥3 antidepressants or ≥1 antipsychotic within 1 year was considered (Cepeda et al., 2018). Results From 12257 MDD patients included in the cohort, Def1 identified 633 (5.2%) TRD cases, whereas regimen adequacy thresholds of 2-week and 6-week identified 1772 (14.5%) and 61 (0.5%) cases, respectively. Further, Def2 identified 261 (2.4%) TRD cases. Finally, Def3 yielded 2449 (20.0%) TRD cases, including 1966 exclusive cases that were not identified by Def1. Conclusions This study showed different definitions for TRD identification had considerable impact on the number of patients identified among Chinese population, obscuring the comparability among EHR-based TRD studies. As first step, we found the criteria of regimen adequacy as major contributor to the observed variability in China. Disclosure No significant relationships.

Abstract
Recently, more and more cold flowing water aquaculture has been adopted, but its wastewater treatment is always ignored, which causes great pressure on the environment. In this study, a compound in-situ treatment system that applied hydroponic plants and biofilm was constructed to treat the wastewater produced by cold flowing water culture of sturgeon. The removal efficiency of the nutrients from culture and the microbial composition in water and biofilm were tested, the correlation between the water quality indexes and bacterium was analyzed, and the abundance of nitrogen and phosphorus cycling genes was quantified. The results show that the system respectively achieved 90%, 100%, 100%, 100% and 48% removal efficiency of NH4+-N, NO3--N, TN, TP and COD which were produced by experimental sturgeon culture. Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa var. chinensis) and water dropwort (Oenanthe javanica) showed obvious growth in the four plants, which contributed to the removal of nutrients from wastewater. Besides, in the biofilm, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Verrucomicrobia became the top three dominant flora at the phylum level, and Flavobacterium, Rhodoferax, Sphaerotilus and Chitinimonas became the top four dominant flora at the genus level, which promoted the removal of nitrogen in the wastewater. The FAPROTAX analysis result shows that the highest functions within the carbon and nitrogen metabolisms were significantly identified in the biofilm, such as chemoheterotrophy, aerobic chemoheterotrophy and nitrate reduction. Further, the abundance of denitrifying genes (narG and napA) was higher than the nitrifying related genes (nxrB and amoA), indicating the more active denitrifying process. In summary, the compound in-situ treatment system efficiently removed nutrients from cold flowing water aquaculture. And the combined purification of hydroponic plants and biofilm which is rich in denitrifying bacterium plays an essential role in this process.

Abstract
Seed ageing has an important effect on germination and productivity. During natural ageing, seed vigour decreases rapidly but, to date, the molecular mechanisms underlying this decrease have not been fully elucidated. Using omics, some of the details regarding seed vigour decline during natural ageing might be elucidated through integrated analysis. Safflower seed germination and physio-biochemical changes during natural ageing (stored for 4, 16 and 28 months) were determined. Proteome and lipidome profiling during natural seed ageing was performed, and the differentially expressed proteins and lipid metabolite species analysed. The surface and internal structures of cotyledons were observed. An integrating analysis of the proteome and lipidome was also carried out. Natural seed ageing significantly decreased safflower seed germination and vigour. 4,184 proteins and 1,193 lipids were quantified, both of which show huge differences among the different naturally aged seeds. The surface of the cotyledons collapsed and cracked, and the oil bodies become looser during natural ageing. The total content of DAG and PA increased, while the content of TAG and PL (PC, PE, PS, PI and PL) significantly decreased during seeds ageing. Two lipase genes (HH-026818-RA and HH-025320) likely participated in this degradation of lipids. We conclude that the enzymes that participate in glycerolipid metabolism and fatty acid degradation probably lead to the degradation of oil bodies (TAG) and membrane lipids (PC, PE, PS, PI, PG) and, ultimately, destroy the structure, causing a decline in seed vigour during natural seed ageing.

Abstract
In nature, plant-insect interactions occur in complex settings involving multiple trophic levels, often with multiple species at each level.1 Herbivore attack of a host plant typically dramatically alters the plant's odor emission in terms of concentration and composition.2,3 Therefore, a well-adapted herbivore should be able to predict whether a plant is still suitable as a host by judging these changes in the emitted bouquet. Although studies have demonstrated that oviposition preferences of successive insects were affected by previous infestations,4,5 the underlying molecular and olfactory mechanisms remain unknown. Here, we report that tobacco hawkmoths (Manduca sexta) preferentially oviposit on Jimson weed (Datura wrightii) that is already infested by a specialist, the three-lined potato beetle (Lema daturaphila). Interestingly, the moths' offspring do not benefit directly, as larvae develop more slowly when feeding together with Lema beetles. However, one of M. sexta's main enemies, the parasitoid wasp Cotesia congregata, prefers the headspace of M. sexta-infested plants to that of plants infested by both herbivores. Hence, we conclude that female M. sexta ignore the interspecific competition with beetles and oviposit deliberately on beetle-infested plants to provide their offspring with an enemy-reduced space, thus providing a trade-off that generates a net benefit to the survival and fitness of the subsequent generation. We identify that α-copaene, emitted by beetle-infested Datura, plays a role in this preference. By performing heterologous expression and single-sensillum recordings, we show that odorant receptor (Or35) is involved in α-copaene detection.

Abstract
A 60-day feeding experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of single selenomethionine (Se) and its mixture with vitamin E (VE) on the growth, antioxidant enzyme activities, and gene expression of juvenile sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus. The design of the experiment contained two factors and 5 × 2 levels by means of adding various levels of Se and VE in the feed, i.e., combination of 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, or 1.2 mg Se kg-1 and 0 or 200 mg VE kg-1. The results revealed that the specific growth rate and weight gain rate were the highest in the group with 0.3 mg Se kg-1 and 200 mg VE kg-1, followed by the group with 0.6 mg Se kg-1 without VE. Se significantly improved the activities of amylase and protease with VE also imposed positive effect on the amylase activity. Glutathione peroxidase (GPX) activity was highest in the group with 1.2 mg Se kg-1 and lowest with the basal diet. The activity of catalase (CAT) was increased while glutathione reductase (GR) activity was decreased in response to the addition of Se. No significant interactive effects of Se and VE on the enzyme activities were found except superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. While relative expressions of GPX, CAT, and SOD genes were significantly responsive to the addition of dietary Se, VE significantly promoted the gene expression of SOD. The results suggested that Se and VE might have beneficial effects on the growth and antioxidant responses of A. japonicus.

Abstract
This study evaluated the effect of dietary taurine levels on growth, serum biochemical parameters, salinity adaptability, and antioxidant activity of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Four diets were formulated with taurine supplements at 0, 0.5, 1, and 2% w/v (abbreviated as T0, T0.5, T1, and T2, respectively). Rainbow trouts (initial weight of 80.09 ± 4.72 g) were stocked in tanks (180 L capacity), and were fed these diets for six weeks and subsequently underwent salinity acclimation. Physiological indicators were determined before salinity acclimation at 1, 4, 7, and 14 days afterwards. Results showed that there were no significant differences in growth performance (final mean weight ranged from 182.35 g to 198.48 g; percent weight gain was between 127.68% and 147.92%) of rainbow trout in freshwater stage, but dietary taurine supplement significantly increased serum-free taurine content. After entering seawater, the Na+-K+-ATPase activity of T2 group returned to its freshwater levels, and the serum cortisol content was significantly higher than T0 and T0.5 groups. At the end of this experiment, the liver superoxide dismutase activity in the T0 and T0.5 groups was significantly lower than in the T1 and T2 groups, and the liver catalase in the T0 group was the lowest whereas that in the T2 group was the highest. Muscle malondialdehyde content was the highest in the T0 group, and the lowest in the T2 group. Based on the results of this study, supplement of dietary taurine (0.5-2%) enhanced the salinity tolerance in rainbow trout, which increased with the higher taurine concentration.

Abstract
Objective To assess the current status of caesarean delivery (CD) in China, propose reference CD rates for China overall, and by regions, investigate the main indications for CDs and identify possible areas for safe reduction. Design A multicentre cross‐sectional study. Setting A total of 94 hospitals across 23 provinces in China. Population A total of 73 977 randomly selected deliveries. Methods We used a modified Robson classification to characterise CDs in subgroups and by regions, and the World Health Organization (WHO) C‐Model to calculate reference CD rates. Main outcome measures CD rates in China. Results In 2015–2016, the overall CD rate in China was 38.9% (95% CI 38.6–39.3%). Considering the obstetric characteristics of the population, the multivariable model‐based reference CD rate was estimated at 28.5% (95% CI 28.3–28.8%). Accordingly, an absolute reduction of 10.4% (or 26.7% relative reduction) may be considered. The CD rate varied substantially by region. Previous CD was the most common indication in all regions, accounting for 38.2% of all CDs, followed by maternal request (9.8%), labour dystocia (8.3%), fetal distress (7.7%) and malpresentation (7.6%). Overall, 12.7% of women had prelabour CDs, contributing to 32.8% of the total CDs. Conclusions Nearly 39% of births were delivered by caesarean in China but a reduction of this rate by a quarter may be considered attainable. Repeat CD contributed more than one‐third of the total CDs. Given the large variation in maternal characteristics, region‐specific or even hospital‐specific reference CD rates are needed for precision management of CD. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the causes,prevention and treatment of femoral artery puncture related complications caused by the application of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) in the resection of pelvic and sacral tumors. Methods: Clinical data of 23 patients with femoral artery puncture related complications who received REBOA in the resection of pelvic and sacral tumors from August 2010 to August 2018 at the Musculoskeletal Tumor Center,Peking University People's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed.There were 8 males and 15 females,with the an age of (37.0±16.2) years (range:15 to 65 years).Arterial access via the Seldinger technique for REBOA was obtained in the right common femoral artery of 18 cases,and in the left of 6 cases.An arterial sheath with a diameter of 11 to 12 F(1 F≈0.33 mm) was used for the patient.The occurrence and treatment of postoperative complications were analyzed. Results: Acute femoral arterial thrombosis occurred in 18 patients,which was managed by open repair 48 hours postoperatively.Among the 349 patients admitted before 2015 who received hemostasis by compression after femoral artery sheath removal,12 patients (3.4%) developed acute femoral artery thrombosis.While the 476 patients admitted after 2015 who used a vascular stapler to close the femoral artery wound,6 patients (1.3%) developed acute femoral artery thrombosis.One case of retroperitoneal hematoma and 1 case of femoral pseudoaneurysm were found and surgically fixed.Postoperative follow-up was (40±18) months (range:13 to 108 months).Three cases with chronic lower extremity ischemia were confirmed by Doppler ultrasonography during 1 to 5 years follow-up.Two of them had minimal symptoms and denied further treatment,while the other one received femoral-femoral artery bypass surgery to restore distal flow for pain and numbness relief. Conclusions: Acute femoral arterial thrombosis was the most common femoral artery puncture.Technique refinement of REBOA,the use of percutaneous suture device and close follow-up can reduce the approach-specific complications,and help to detect and treat the complications timely,which may popularize the clinical application of REBOA.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the incidence and trend of severe postpartum hemorrhage (sPPH) in China, and to provide basic data for the development and evaluation of sPPH prevention and control strategy. Methods: Obstetric data was extracted from annual national representative sampling surveys based on the National Clinical Improvement System. From 2016 to 2019, 2 978, 3 400, 4 576 and 4 594 maternity hospitals with sPPH cases were included for statistics. The annual incidence of sPPH was calculated according to province and type of medical institutions and generalized linear model was emplyed to identify the determinants affecting sPPH incidence. Results: In China, sPPH incidence increased from 0.62% in 2016 to 0.93% in 2018, and was 0.92% in 2019. Eighteen provinces had an inverted U-shaped trend of sPPH over time and most of them had the highest incidence in 2018; ten provinces had an upward trend of sPPH and 3 provinces had a U-shaped trend. In 2019, the top five provinces with the highest sPPH incidence were Yunnan (1.88%), Beijing (1.45%), Jiangsu (1.31%), Guizhou (1.26%), and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (1.22%); the top five provinces with the lowest incidence were Henan (0.55%), Jiangxi (0.60%), Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (0.64%), Liaoning (0.64%) and Gansu (0.69%). In 2019, the sPPH incidence in different types of medical institutions were as follows: tertiary public general hospital (1.15%), tertiary public specialized hospital (1.02%), secondary public general hospital (0.81%), private hospital (0.61%) and secondary public specialized hospital (0.58%). sPPH incidence was positively associated with proportion of twin pregnancies, macrosomia, primipara, and puerpera aged ≥35 years in maternity hospitals (P<0.05). Conclusions: sPPH incidence generally showes an increasing trend from 2016 and is stable at a high level in recent two years in China. It is warranted to further strengthen the monitoring of postpartum hemorrhage, and improve the capability of hierarchical management and treatment in maternity institutions and regions, in order to reduce sPPH incidence and maternal mortality.

Abstract
Mosquito-transmitted diseases, including malaria and dengue, are a major threat to human health around the globe, affecting millions each year. A diverse array of next-generation tools has been designed to eliminate mosquito populations or to replace them with mosquitoes that are less capable of transmitting key pathogens. Many of these new approaches have been built on recent advances in CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing. These initiatives have driven the development of pathogen-resistant lines, new genetics-based sexing methods, and new methods of driving desirable genetic traits into mosquito populations. Many other emerging tools involve microorganisms, including two strategies involving Wolbachia that are achieving great success in the field. At the same time, other mosquito-associated bacteria, fungi, and even viruses represent untapped sources of new mosquitocidal or antipathogen compounds. Although there are still hurdles to be overcome, the prospect that such approaches will reduce the impact of these diseases is highly encouraging.

Abstract
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a rapidly progressive, aggressive metastatic and lethal subtype of lung cancer. Unfortunately, there has been little progress regarding the development of novel treatments for SCLC. However, lurbinectedin, a transcriptional inhibitor, has emerged as a potential novel treatment for cancer. It produces antitumor efficacy by inhibiting oncogenic transcription activity, inducing the accumulation of DNA double-strand breaks and modulating the tumor microenvironment (TME). Data from phase I/II trials indicates that lurbinectedin has significant antitumor efficacy and tolerable adverse effects in SCLC patients. Furthermore, lurbinectedin is efficacious in platinum-sensitive and platinum-resistant SCLC patients and in those with SCLC relapse after second-line treatment. In 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved lurbinectedin for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic SCLC or for patients that have received platinum-based chemotherapy. In this review, we discuss the molecular profile and the preclinical and clinical studies of lurbinectedin in the treatment of SCLC patients.

Abstract
Background
Rainbow trout is an economically important fish in aquaculture and is a model species in environmental physiology. Despite earlier research on the seawater adaptability of rainbow trout at different temperature regimes, the influence on the liver and intestine in this species is still unknown. Two trials were conducted to investigate the effects of constant and diel cyclic temperatures on phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) composition in the liver and intestine of rainbow trout during seawater acclimation.
Results
At the end of growth trial 1, fish at 9 and 12.5 °C showed significantly higher ratios of unsaturated to saturated (U/S) and unsaturation index (UI) than those at 16 °C in liver and intestine phospholipids. After day 1 of seawater acclimation, the U/S, UI, and average chain length (ACL) of liver and intestinal phospholipids in fish at 16 °C significantly increased. Two weeks after seawater acclimation, the liver and intestinal PLFA composition adapted to salinity changes. In trial 2, significantly higher U/S, UI, and ACL were found in intestinal phospholipids at 13 ± 2 °C. On the first day after seawater acclimation, UI and ACL in liver phospholipids significantly increased at 13 °C, while fish at 13 ± 2 °C showed significantly decreased U/S, UI, and ACL in the intestine. At the end of growth trial 2, liver PLFA compositions were stable, whereas intestinal PLFA at 13 and 13 ± 1 °C showed significantly decreased U/S, UI, and ACL. A two-way analysis of variance and principal component analysis revealed significant effects of different constant temperatures, seawater acclimation, and their interaction on the liver and intestinal phospholipids, a significant effect of diel cyclic temperature on intestinal phospholipids, and the effects of seawater acclimation and its interaction with diel cyclic temperature on liver phospholipids.
Conclusion
Temperatures of 9 and 12.5 °C could elevate membrane fluidity and thickness in the liver and intestine of rainbow trout in freshwater, whereas no significant effects were found with diel temperature variations. After seawater acclimation, constant and diel cyclic temperatures significantly influenced the membrane fluidity and thickness of the liver and intestine. Compared with constant temperature, diel temperature variation (13 ± 2 °C) can enhance the adaptability of rainbow trout during seawater acclimation.

Abstract
The δ2H and δ18O of 105 salmonids cultured in freshwater and seawater and from different regions were combined with linear discriminant analysis (LDA), k-nearest neighbor (KNN), and random forest (RF) to create discrimination models. To assess the stability of the discrimination models, seasonal variation in δ2H and δ18O in salmonids cultured in different systems was studied. δ2H and δ18O were significantly different between salmonids cultured in freshwater and seawater and from different geographical origins. δ2H and δ18O of salmonids cultured in an open system were vulnerable to seasonal effects. The KNN model had 100% accuracy for identifying the production methods of salmonids and was less affected by seasonal variation. The RF model had the highest accuracy for identifying the geographical origins of salmonids with an accuracy of over 80%. Thus, δ2H and δ18O were more effective for identifying the production methods of salmonids than their geographical origins.

Abstract
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one of the most devastating cancers with high mortality worldwide. By inhibiting the activity of specific molecular targets in the cancer cells, tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have become a standard treatment in combating NSCLC. Tepotinib hydrochloride is an orally bioavailable, mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) TKI developed mainly for selected NSCLC patients with METex14 skipping mutations. Tepotinib demonstrated durable clinical response in phase II clinical trials, which led to its approval for use in Japan and breakthrough therapy designation and accelerated approval in the U.S. These progresses highlighted tepotinib as a promising candidate for NSCLC patients. This review summarizes the pharmacological profile of tepotinib, preclinical studies and landmark clinical trials of tepotinib. In addition, we share our perspectives on the future direction of tepotinib as a novel anticancer drug.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, influence factors and interaction on HCV infection in patients receiving methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) in Taiyuan. Methods: Between April-June 2019, three MMT clinics in Taiyuan were selected to conduct a face-to-face questionnaire survey among MMT patients to collect the information about their socio-demographic characteristics, drug use, MMT, sexual behavior and health status. Software EpiData 3.1 was used for real-time double entry to establish the database. Software SAS 9.4 was used to analyze the data, and χ2 test was used for univariate analysis and logistic regression model was used for multivariate and interaction analyses. Results: A total of 903 subjects were surveyed among MMT patients, the male to female ratio of was 7.21∶1(743∶103), and the rate of HCV infection was 12.53% (106/846). After adjusting for the confounding factors, being women (OR=1.936, 95%CI: 1.023-3.662), having sex with drug users (OR=2.073, 95%CI: 1.110-3.871) and injection drug use (OR=7.737, 95%CI: 4.614-12.973) might be the risk factors for HCV infection in patients receiving MMT. The results showed that there were multiplicative interactions among women, having sex with drug user and injection drug use on HCV infection. Conclusions: Being women, having sex with drug user and injection drug use were associated with higher risk for HCV infection in patients receiving MMT in Taiyuan. There were multiplication interactions between being women and having sex with drug user, being female and injection drug use, and having sex with drug use and injection drug use on HCV infection.

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effects of different temperatures on seawater acclimation in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), in terms of growth performance, osmoregulatory capacity, and branchial phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) composition. The fish (initial weight, 94.73 g) were reared at 9, 12.5, and 16 °C for 28 days, then acclimated to seawater, and subsequently reared for 14 days. Sampling points were on the last day in freshwater, and the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 14th days after the salinity reached 30. The results showed the final weight, percent weight gain, and specific growth rate of rainbow trout at 12.5 °C were significantly higher than those at 9 °C, while the thermal growth coefficient at 16 °C was significantly lower than that in other treatments. The branchial PLFA composition in rainbow trout changed more rapidly at 9 and 12.5 °C than at 16 °C. The branchial PLFA composition was significantly affected by temperature and salinity and their interaction. The polyunsaturated fatty acid content of phospholipids in the gill at 9 and 12.5 °C was significantly higher than those at 16 °C. Low temperature (9 °C) and seawater acclimation significantly increased the degree of unsaturation of membrane, enhancing membrane fluidity, which is related to Na+-K+ ATPase activity. Responses of plasma ion, Na+-K+ ATPase activity, and plasma glucose followed a similar pattern at different temperatures. Overall, the study suggests that 12.5 °C is the ideal temperature for seawater acclimation in rainbow trout.

Abstract
The individual effects of temperature and dissolved oxygen (DO) on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), an important aquaculture species, are clearly established; however, little is known about the interactive effects of these parameters. In this study, the effects of temperature, DO, and their interaction on the growth, antioxidant status, digestive enzyme activity, serum biochemical parameters, and liver IGF-1 expression in rainbow trout were evaluated. Fish (initial weight, 109.98 ± 3.28 g) were reared in a recirculating system for 4 weeks and subjected to 6 treatments at three temperatures (13 °C, 17 °C, and 21 °C) and two DO contents (4.2 mg L-1 and 9.6 mg L-1). Physiological parameters were determined at the end of the trial. Specific growth rate and feed consumption were the highest at 17 °C and the lowest at 21 °C. Additionally, lysozyme, trypsin, lipase, and amylase activities, serum glucose and serum triglyceride contents, and IGF-1 expression decreased significantly at 21 °C and total serum protein and albumin contents were significantly higher at 21 °C than at 13 °C and 17 °C, indicating that high temperature impaired the immunity, digestion, and growth of rainbow trout. However, the adverse effects of high temperature can be alleviated by a high DO content, as evidenced by the smaller increments and decrements of these parameters under hyperoxic conditions than under hypoxic conditions. In response to high temperature stress, an increase in antioxidant enzyme activity led to the removal of oxygen free radicals under hyperoxic conditions; however, this increase was inhibited under hypoxia. Our results indicated that high temperatures have adverse effects on rainbow trout, and these harmful effects can be reduced by a high DO content.

Abstract
Introduction In China, the indications of paliperidone extended in schizophrenia adolescents (12-17 years) was approved by National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2017. But, the utilization of paliperidone in this group needs to be further investigated. Objectives To assess paliperidone utilization in schizophrenia adolescents. Methods The study employed the electronic medical records (EMRs) database from a psychiatry specialized hospital (PH) and a general hospital (GH), respectively. General information, including birth date, gender, visit date, diagnosis (inpatient and outpatient) with ICD-10 coding, drug characterize, prescription date and dosage, was de-identified and standardized for analysis. Schizophrenia adolescents (ICD-10: F20.x) received at least one prescription of paliperidone between 2018 and 2019 were included in this study. Index date was defined as the date of first identified paliperidone prescription. The patients were followed up until the end of 2019 with the last record, or upon reaching 18 years. The database was analyzed based on days of supply, administration frequency, and daily dose. Results Overall, 112 and 117 eligible patients were included in the present study from PH and GH, respectively. The median drug supply was 179.0 days and 44.0 days, respectively, during which median number of prescriptions patients received was 6.0 and 3.0. Paliperidone was mostly initiated alone (57.1% and 88.9%) with frequency of once daily (97.3% and 88.9%), and the median of average daily dose during follow-up was 5.7 mg/day and 6.0 mg/day, respectively. Conclusions The duration of paliperidone usage was very different in two hospitals, but the dosages in both hospitals were generally agreed with prescribing information.

Abstract
The activation of mostly quiescent haematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) is a prerequisite for life-long production of blood cells1. This process requires major molecular adaptations to allow HSCs to meet the regulatory and metabolic requirements for cell division2-4. The mechanisms that govern cellular reprograming upon stem-cell activation, and the subsequent return of stem cells to quiescence, have not been fully characterized. Here we show that chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA)5, a selective form of lysosomal protein degradation, is involved in sustaining HSC function in adult mice. CMA is required for protein quality control in stem cells and for the upregulation of fatty acid metabolism upon HSC activation. We find that CMA activity in HSCs decreases with age and show that genetic or pharmacological activation of CMA can restore the functionality of old mouse and human HSCs. Together, our findings provide mechanistic insights into a role for CMA in sustaining quality control, appropriate energetics and overall long-term HSC function. Our work suggests that CMA may be a promising therapeutic target for enhancing HSC function in conditions such as ageing or stem-cell transplantation.

Abstract
The study investigated the effects of seawater acclimation at constant and diel temperatures on the growth, osmoregulation, and branchial phospholipid fatty acid (PLFA) composition in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The fish (initial weight, 62.28 ± 0.41 g) were reared at a constant 13.0 °C (CT) or with a diel cycle of either 13.0 ± 1.0 °C (VT2) or 13.0 ± 2.0 °C (VT4) for 6 weeks, and subsequently subjected to seawater acclimation. Diel temperature variations (of up to 4 °C) did not affect the growth rate of rainbow trout maintained in freshwater, but alleviated the impairment on the growth after seawater challenge. Under all temperature conditions, rainbow trout were well prepared to seawater acclimation. The diel cyclic temperature resulted in fish with reduced fluctuations in plasma electrolyte levels, branchial Na+-K+ ATPase activity, and plasma osmolality. In freshwater, the sum of the monounsaturated fatty acids was significantly higher in the VT4 relative to CT and VT2 treatment. Conversely, the sum of polyunsaturated fatty acids was significantly lower in the VT4 fish. After seawater transfer, the branchial PLFA profiles of the fish significantly changed, but those in CT and VT2 did not recover afterwards (the degree of unsaturation was downregulated). The PLFA composition of fish in the VT4 treatment appeared to be steadier under seawater acclimation. This study suggests that a diel cyclic temperature (13.0 ± 2.0 °C) can alleviate the impairment of growth, enhance osmoregulation capability, and improve the stability of the branchial PLFA composition in rainbow trout after seawater acclimation.

Abstract
One possible way to overcome the diversity of toxic plant allelochemicals idiosyncratically distributed among potential host plants is to have more counterdefense genes via gene duplication or fewer gene losses. Cytochrome P450 is the most important gene family responsible for detoxification of the diversity of plant allelochemicals. We have recently reported the identification and cloning of the transposon (HzSINE1)-disrupted non-functional CYP321A2, a duplicated paralog of the xenobiotic-metabolizing P450 CYP321A1 from a laboratory colony of Helicoverpa zea. Here we report the identification of the wild-type intact allele of CYP321A2 from another H. zea colony. This CYP321A2 allele encodes a deduced protein of 498 amino acids and has the P450 signature motifs. Quantitative RT-PCR experiments showed that this CYP321A2 allele was highly expressed in midgut and fat body and achieved the highest expression level in the developmental stage of 5th and 3rd instar larvae. CYP321A2 and CYP321A1 were constitutively expressed in low levels but can be differentially and significantly induced by a range of the plant allelochemicals and plant signal molecules, among which xanthotoxin, flavone, and coumarin were the most prominent inducers of CYP321A2 both in midgut and fat body, whereas flavone, coumarin, and indole-3-carbinol were the prominent inducers of CYP321A1 in midgut and fat body. Moreover, xanthotoxin- and flavone-responsive regulatory elements of CYP321A1 were also detected in the promoter region of CYP321A2. Our results enrich the P450 inventory by identifying an allelochemical broadly induced CYP321A2, a paralog of CYP321A1 in H. zea. Our data also suggest that the CYP321A2/CYP321A1 paralogs are a pair of duplicated genes of multigene families and CYP321A2 could potentially be involved in the detoxification of plant allelochemicals and adaptation of H. zea to its chemical environment.

Abstract
Time-of-flight-based momentum microscopy has a growing presence in photoemission studies, as it enables parallel energy- and momentum-resolved acquisition of the full photoelectron distribution. Here, we report table-top extreme ultraviolet time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (trARPES) featuring both a hemispherical analyzer and a momentum microscope within the same setup. We present a systematic comparison of the two detection schemes and quantify experimentally relevant parameters, including pump- and probe-induced space-charge effects, detection efficiency, photoelectron count rates, and depth of focus. We highlight the advantages and limitations of both instruments based on exemplary trARPES measurements of bulk WSe2. Our analysis demonstrates the complementary nature of the two spectrometers for time-resolved ARPES experiments. Their combination in a single experimental apparatus allows us to address a broad range of scientific questions with trARPES.

Abstract
We performed angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) of bulk 2H-WSe_{2} for different crystal orientations linked to each other by time-reversal symmetry. We introduce a new observable called time-reversal dichroism in photoelectron angular distributions (TRDAD), which quantifies the modulation of the photoemission intensity upon effective time-reversal operation. We demonstrate that the hidden orbital pseudospin texture leaves its imprint on TRDAD, due to multiple orbital interference effects in photoemission. Our experimental results are in quantitative agreement with both the tight-binding model and state-of-the-art fully relativistic calculations performed using the one-step model of photoemission. While spin-resolved ARPES probes the spin component of entangled spin-orbital texture in multiorbital systems, we unambiguously demonstrate that TRDAD reveals its orbital pseudospin texture counterpart.

Abstract
The global shrimp industry has suffered bacterial diseases caused mainly by Vibrio species. The typical vibriosis, acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), has resulted in mass mortality and devastating economic losses. Thus, therapeutic strategies are highly needed to decrease the risk of vibriosis outbreaks. Herein, we initially identified that the growth of the causative agent of AHPND, Vibrio parahaemolyticus (VP AHPND ) and other vibrios in Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) was inhibited by a Bacillus subtilis strain BSXE-1601. The natural products amicoumacins A, B, and C were purified from the cell-free supernatant from the strain BSXE-1601, but only amicoumacin A was demonstrated to be responsible for this anti-Vibrio activity. Our discovery provided the first evidence that amicoumacin A was highly active against shrimp pathogens, including the representative strain VP AHPND . Furthermore, we elucidated the amicoumacin A biosynthetic gene cluster by whole genome sequencing of the B. subtilis strain BSXE-1601. In addition to amicoumacin A, the strain BSXE-1601 genome harbored other genes encoding bacillibactin, fengycin, surfactin, bacilysin, and subtilosin A, all of which have previously reported antagonistic activities against pathogenic strains. The whole-genome analysis provided unequivocal evidence in support of the huge potential of the strain BSXE-1601 to produce diverse biologically antagonistic natural products, which may facilitate further studies on the effective therapeutics for detrimental diseases in shrimp.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Patients with cancer are usually immunosuppressive and susceptible to COVID-19 infection. Asymptomatic COVID-19 cases are infective and cannot be identified by symptom-based screening. There is an urgent need to control virus spread by asymptomatic carriers at cancer centres. We aim to describe the characteristics, screening methods, and outcomes of cancer patients with asymptomatic COVID-19 infection and to further explore anti-tumour treatment for this population. PATIENTS AND METHODS We reviewed patients with cancer who were admitted to Hubei Cancer Hospital in Wuhan from February 1, 2020, to April 4, 2020. We collected demographic data, laboratory findings, treatment information, nucleic acid and serum test results, chest computed tomography (CT) information and survival status of cancer patients diagnosed with asymptomatic COVID-19 infection. RESULTS A total of 16 cancer patients with asymptomatic COVID-19 infection were confirmed. The most common cancer type was breast cancer. The blood cell counts of most patients were in the normal range. Lymphocytes of 100% of asymptomatic carriers were in the normal range. Thirteen (81.3%) patients were positive for virus-specific IgM antibodies, and three (18.8%) were positive by PCR; only one (6.3%) patient showed novel coronavirus pneumonia features on CT. Three (18.3%) patients died, and the cause of death was considered malignancy caused by delaying anti-tumour treatment. CONCLUSIONS Our study shows that the lymphocytes of 100% of asymptomatic carriers were in the normal range. This result indicates that the host immunity of asymptomatic carriers is not significantly disrupted by COVID-19. Single PCR detection is not sufficient to screen among asymptomatic individuals, and a combination of PCR tests, serological tests and CT is of great importance. Unless the tumour is life-threatening or rapidly progressing, we advise restarting active anti-tumour therapy after PCR tests become negative.

Abstract
The Meridional Overturning Circulation (MOC) is a primary mechanism driving oceanic heat redistribution on Earth, thereby affecting Earth's climate and weather. However, the full-depth structure and variability of the MOC are still poorly understood, particularly in the South Atlantic. This study presents unique multiyear records of the oceanic volume transport of both the upper (<~3100 meters) and abyssal (>~3100 meters) overturning cells based on daily moored measurements in the South Atlantic at 34.5°S. The vertical structure of the time-mean flows is consistent with the limited historical observations. Both the upper and abyssal cells exhibit a high degree of variability relative to the temporal means at time scales, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Observed variations in the abyssal flow appear to be largely independent of the flow in the overlying upper cell. No meaningful trends are detected in either cell.

Abstract
PURPOSE The supply of non-iodized salt and the water improvement project have been conducted to reduce the iodine concentration in drinking water in areas with elevated water iodine. We aimed to assess the impact of water iodine concentration (WIC) on the iodine intake of pregnant women in areas with restricted iodized salt supply, and determine the cutoff values of WIC in areas with non-iodized salt supply. METHODS Overall, 534 pregnant women who attended routine antenatal outpatient visits in Zibo Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Gaoqing County were recruited. The 24-h urine iodine excretion (UIE) in 534 samples and the iodine concentration in 534 drinking water samples were estimated. Urinary iodine excretion, daily iodine intake, and daily iodine intake from drinking water (WII) were calculated. The relationship between WIC and daily iodine take was analyzed. RESULTS The median WIC, spot urine iodine concentration (UIC), and 24-h UIE were 17 (6, 226) μg/L, 145 (88, 267) μg/L, and 190 (110, 390) μg/day, respectively. A significant positive correlation was found between WIC and UIE (R2 = 0.265, p < 0.001) and UIC (R2 = 0.261, p < 0.001). The contribution rate of WII to total iodine intake increased from 3.0% in the group with WIC of < 10 μg/L to 45.7% in the group with WIC of 50-99 μg/L. CONCLUSION The iodine content in drinking water is the major iodine source in pregnant women living in high-water iodine areas where iodized salt supply is restricted. The contribution rate of daily iodine intake from drinking water increases with the increase in water iodine concentration.

Abstract
Insect courtship and mating depend on integration of olfactory, visual, and tactile cues. Compared to other insects, Bombyx mori, the domesticated silkworm, has relatively simple sexual behaviors as it cannot fly. Here by using CRISPR/Cas9 and electrophysiological techniques we found that courtship and mating behaviors are regulated in male silk moths by mutating genes in the sex determination cascade belonging to two conserved pathways. Loss of Bmdsx gene expression significantly reduced the peripheral perception of the major pheromone component bombykol by reducing expression of the product of the BmOR1 gene which completely blocked courtship in adult males. Interestingly, we found that mating behavior was regulated independently by another sexual differentiation gene, Bmfru. Loss of Bmfru completely blocked mating, but males displayed normal courtship behavior. Lack of Bmfru expression significantly reduced the perception of the minor pheromone component bombykal due to the down regulation of BmOR3 expression; further, functional analysis revealed that loss of the product of BmOR3 played a key role in terminating male mating behavior. Our results suggest that Bmdsx and Bmfru are at the base of the two primary pathways that regulate olfactory-based sexual behavior. The fundamental insect sexual behaviors, courtship and mating, result from successful integration of olfactory, vision, tactile and other complex innate behaviors. In the widely used insect model, Drosophila melanogaster, the sex determination cascade genes fruitless and doublesex are involved in the regulation of courtship and mating behaviors; however, little is known about the function of these sexual differentiation genes in regulating sex behaviors of Lepidoptera. Here we combine genetics and electrophysiology to investigate regulation pathway of sexual behaviors in the model lepidopteran insect, the domesticated silk moth, Bombyx mori. Our results support the presence of two genetic pathways in B. mori, named Bmdsx-BmOR1-bombykol and Bmfru-BmOR3-bombykal, which control distinct aspects of male sexual behavior that are modulated by olfaction. This is the first comprehensive report about the role of sex differentiation genes in the male sexual behavior in the silk moth.
