Abstract
AIM Older people with sensory impairment are more likely to have smaller and weaker social network due to their reduced ability, which lowers their quality of life. However, there is little research on the social network in older people with sensory impairment, especially the related factors. The aim of the study was to explore the related factors of social network and to provide evidence for the improvement of social network to promote successful aging in older people with sensory impairment. METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted among 374 participants for hearing and vision assessment and questionnaire survey in a community, Beijing. Data were collected and analyzed by principal component analysis (PCA) and multiple logistic regression using IBM SPSS 25.0 software. RESULTS PCA showed that there were six risk factors whose eigenvalues >1 were extracted, with a total variance of 56.555%. Multiple logistic regression analysis of principal component indicated that five factors including physical health factor, social interaction factor, psychological status factor, lifestyle factor, and family condition factor, were statistically significant (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS The social network of older people with sensory impairment is relatively poor. Physical health factor, social interaction factor, psychological status factor, lifestyle factor, and family condition factor may be related factors. Medical staff should pay attention to physical, psychological and social characteristics of older people, especially with sensory impairment, to carry out necessary measures to improve social network and avoid social isolation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To synthesize qualitative research findings on intensive care patients' perceptions of early mobilization to identify their needs and understand the factors influencing their participation. METHODS Studies that explored patients' experiences of early mobilization within the intensive care unit were searched. A comprehensive search was conducted by searching five English and four Chinese electronic databases. The systematic review was carried out in line with the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology for systematic reviews of qualitative evidence, and also the thematic synthesis method was used to analyze the data. RESULTS A total of eight studies were included. Eight descriptive themes were formed: patients' self-determination needs, patients' relationship needs, patients' needs for competency and self-control, perceived benefits of physical function, increased self-confidence, negative emotions, unpleasant experiences and suffering, negative attitudes, and three analytical themes related to patients' perceptions of early mobilization in the intensive care unit were identified, including patients' needs during early mobilization, facilitators prompting patients' actions in early mobilization, and obstacles influencing patients' actions in early mobilization. CONCLUSION Many factors influence the critically ill patients' actions in early mobilization. A better understanding of patients' potential needs and psychological responses to early mobilization in the intensive care unit may help health professionals develop strategies to promote the quality of early mobilization. IMPLICATIONS FOR CLINICAL PRACTICE Recognizing and developing the strategies to meet the needs are essential to improve the patients' actions in early mobilization in the intensive care unit.. Therefore, understanding the relationship between needs support and patients' actions in early mobilization can help them provider better support services during mobilization.

Abstract
Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CR-AB) is rarely found in community respiratory infections, and there are currently no reports of hemorrhagic bronchitis caused by its infection. This work presents a case of bronchial bleeding in a diabetic patient who acquired a community-acquired infection of CR-AB. Treatment with levofloxacin was unsuccessful, as the patient's hemoptysis symptoms recur. The patient was treated with minocycline based on the drug sensitivity test, resulting in the disappearance of hemoptysis symptoms. The patient was subjected to follow-up by phone for three months and did not experience any further hemoptysis symptoms. This case highlights that CR-AB infection causes hemorrhagic bronchitis, and the antimicrobial treatment should be based on drug sensitivity results.

Abstract
Background Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory disease. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is involved in numerous biological processes in both normal and diseased states. Herein, we aimed to explore the potential role of m6A regulators in the diagnosis of psoriasis and predict molecular mechanisms by which m6A regulators impact psoriasis. Methods GSE30999 (170 human skin tissue samples) and GSE13355 (180 human skin tissue samples) were downloaded as the training analysis dataset and validation dataset respectively. M6A-related genes were obtained from the literature and their expression levels in GSE30999 samples were measured to identify M6A-related DEGs between psoriasis lesions (LS) and non-lesional lesions (NL). We identified m6A-related DEGs using differential expression analysis and assessed their interactions through correlation analysis and network construction. A logistic regression analysis followed by LASSO optimization was employed to select m6A-related DEGs for the construction of a diagnostic model. The performance of the model was validated using support vector machine (SVM) methodology with sigmoid kernel function and extensive cross-validation. Additionally, the correlation between m6A-related DEGs and immune cell infiltration was analyzed, as well as the association of these DEGs with psoriasis subtypes. Functional analysis of the m6A-related DEGs included the construction of regulatory networks involving miRNAs, transcription factors (TFs), and small-molecule drugs. The m6A modification patterns were also explored by examining the gene expression differences between psoriasis subtypes and their enriched biological pathways. Finally, the expression of significant m6A regulators involved in the diagnostic model was examined by RT-qPCR. Results In this study, ten optimal m6A-related DEGs were identified, including FTO, IGF2BP2, METTL3, YTHDC1, ZC3H13, HNRNPC, IGF2BP3, LRPPRC, YTHDC2, and HNRNPA2B1. A diagnostic model based on these m6A-related DEGs was constructed, demonstrating high diagnostic accuracy with an area under the curve (AUC) in GSE30999 and GSE13355 of 0.974 and 0.730, respectively. Meanwhile, the expression level of m6A regulators verified by RT-qPCR was consistent with the results in GSE30999. The infiltration of activated mast cells and NK cells was significantly associated with all ten m6A-related DEGs in psoriasis. Among them, YTHDC1, HNRNPC, and FTO were targeted by most miRNAs and were regulated by nine related TFs. Therefore, patients may benefit from dorsomorphin and cyclosporine therapy. Between the two subgroups, 1,592 DEGs were identified, including LRPPRC and METTL3. These DEGs were predicted to be involved in neutrophil activation, cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions, and chemokine signaling pathways. Conclusions A diagnostic model based on ten m6A-related DEGs in patients with psoriasis was constructed, which may provide early diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for psoriasis.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sensory impairment significantly reduces speech discrimination and perception ability, presenting a challenge to effective communication. It can lead to social withdrawal and a reduced social network which can lead to cognitive impairment, seriously affecting the quality of life of older people. However, it is unclear which intervention components are effective to improving social network in older people with sensory impairment. OBJECTIVE The aim of this systematic review was to summarize interventions designed to improve social network in older people with sensory impairment. METHODS We searched seven databases from inception to December 1, 2023. Eligible studies included randomized clinical trials (RCT) and quasi-experimental studies of interventions for older people with sensory impairment aimed at improving social networks. Two reviewers searched databases, extracted data, and assessed the quality of the included studies independently. RESULTS Nine studies including five RCTs and four quasi-experimental studies were selected, enrolling 721 older people with sensory impairment. Methodological quality of the studies was modest. Eight studies demonstrated a positive impact of the interventions used in older people with sensory impairment. The detailed effective intervention components may include communication strategies, resources for older people and their significant others, exercise or tech-back of communication, sensory device fitting, and use and maintenance of sensory devices. CONCLUSION There are few interventions available for improving social network in older people with sensory impairment. Most interventions mainly focus on communication education and care, and sensory device fitting and education. To improve the social network in older people with sensory impairment, it is necessary to develop more effective, multidisciplinary collaborative effective interventions and conduct more high-quality original studies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The sociocultural context of China gives rise to unique experiences of HIV-related stigma and adverse impacts on mental health among men who have sex with men (MSM) living with HIV. However, few studies have explored the stigma among families in the cultural context of China and the role of social support as a mediator to explain how HIV-related stigma results in poor psychological well-being. This study aims to test the mediating effect of social support between HIV-related stigma and family stigma on the mental health of MSM. METHODS This cross-sectional study recruited newly MSM with HIV in two cities (Beijing and Wuhan) in China as participants from February 2021 to August 2022. A total of 257 MSM with HIV were recruited for the study. The mediating effects were examined using mediation models (SAS PROC CAUSALMED). RESULTS The overall total effect of HIV-related stigma on mental health was β = -1.483 (bootstrap 95% CI = -1.881, -1.104 p < 0.001), and the mediating effect of social support was β = -0.321 (bootstrap 95% CI = -0.571, -0.167 p = .001). A higher level of stigma from family predicts lower mental health with an overall total effect of β = -1.487 (bootstrap 95% CI = -1.823, -1.101 p < 0.001), while the indirect effect (mediation effect) of social support on mental health is β = -0.281 (bootstrap 95% CI = -0.477, -0.142 p = .003). CONCLUSIONS Given the mediating effect of social support on mental health, programs enhancing social support and decreasing stigmatization should be designed to improve the mental health of MSM with HIV, the interventions are needed at both the family and community levels. Public health campaigns in China that frame HIV and same-sex behavior as chronic issues and normal phenomena can correct misinformation related to HIV and MSM that leads to stigma and negative emotional reactions.

Abstract
Resolution control and expansibility have always been challenges to the fabrication of structural color materials. Here, a facile strategy to print cholesteric liquid crystal elastomers (CLCEs) into complex structural color patterns with variable resolution and enhanced expansibility is reported. A volatile solvent is introduced into the synthesized CLC oligomers, modifying its rheological properties and allowing direct-ink-writing (DIW) under mild conditions. The combination of printing shear flow and anisotropic deswelling of ink drives the CLC molecules into an ordered cholesteric arrangement. The authors meticulously investigate the influence of printing parameters to achieve resolution control over a wide range, allowing for the printing of multi-sized 1D or 2D patterns with constant quality. Furthermore, such solvent-cast direct-ink-writing (DIW) strategy is highly expandable and can be integrated easily into the DIW of bionic robots. Multi-responsive bionic butterfly and flower are printed with biomimetic in both locomotion and coloration. Such designs dramatically reduced the processing difficulty of precise full-color printing and expanded the capability of structural color materials to collaborate with other systems.

Abstract
Purpose To address the prevalence of diabetes distress (DD) and its correlators in adults with type 2 diabetes. Patients and Methods During 2021 and 2022, we conducted a cross-sectional study in three Class A tertiary comprehensive hospitals in China, and received 947 participants who completed a printed survey covering DD, demographic, diabetic, physiological, and psychosocial factors. We used Jonckheere-Terpstra, chi-square, and Fisher's exact tests to assess intergroup differences between different levels of DD. We used ordinal logistic regression analysis to analyze correlators of DD further. Results The prevalence of DD was 34.64%. In univariate analysis, those with lower satisfaction with financial status, longer durations of diabetes, more complications, higher glycemia, more severe insomnia, treatment by medications only, poorer lifestyle interventions, fewer self-care activities, more types and frequencies of insulin injections, and spending more money and time on treatment were susceptible to DD. Type D personality, negative illness perceptions, negative coping styles, and psychological effects of major life events were related to higher DD. Hope, self-efficacy, positive coping styles, and social support can reduce DD. In ordinal logistic regression analysis, hypoglycemic episode (β=-1.118, p=0.019, "have hypoglycemic" as reference) and Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (β=0.090, p<0.001) were significant positive correlators for DD, while diet intervention (β=0.803, p=0.022, "have diet intervention" as reference), money spent on diabetes treatment (β<-0.001, p=0.035), and SES (β=-0.257, p<0.001) were significant negative correlators. Conclusion More than one-third of Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes experience moderate or high levels of DD. DD was associated with financial, diabetic, physiological, and psychosocial status.

Abstract
Water scarcity significantly limits the sustainable development of oasis economies in arid inland river basins. Quantifying watershed resilience and its drivers is a major focus in the fields of hydrology and water resources. In this study, the resilience indicator pi represents watershed resilience, while meteorological, hydrological, socioeconomic, and ecological factors are used to investigate the spatial and temporal patterns of resilience and important driving factors in the Hotan River Basin from 1958 to 2020 by combining principal component analysis and random forest model. Results show that the overall resilience of the Hotan River Basin is low, decreasing from the upper (upstream) to the middle and lower (downstream) reaches, and that the intensity of human activities has a negative impact on resilience. Rivers are more likely to reach maximum resilience after experiencing periods of wet and dry conditions, although there is a lag in this progress. The random forest machine learning algorithm was used to accurately predict the resilience levels of the two upstream tributaries Yurungkash and Karakash Rivers, and the downstream Hotan River, with classification accuracies of 84.2 %, 71.4 %, and 87 %, respectively. The factors affecting the resilience of the Yurungkash River are the 30-day maximum, base flow index, low pulse duration, median streamflow in May, median streamflow in August, median streamflow in October, and 7-day maximum. The set of factors used to classify the resilience of the Karakash River include the 7-day maximum, 1-day maximum, median streamflow in June, 30-day maximum, 3-day maximum, median streamflow in February, and autumn temperature. The factors affecting the resilience of the Hotan River are the watershed inflow, Xiaota station runoff, population growth rate, and effective irrigated area. The findings of this study provide a theoretical basis for integrated water resource management and the sustainable development of the oasis economy in the Hotan River Basin.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Hearing impairment may lead to increased communication difficulties for older people, making their social participation less optimistic. However, there is little research on the social participation of older people with hearing impairment, especially based on the characteristics of their social participation. This study aimed to identify different social participation profiles in older people with hearing impairment and to explore sociodemographic characteristics, disease-related characteristics and psychosocial factors with different social participation profiles. METHODS A cross-sectional study of 300 older people with hearing impairment using the sociodemographic questionnaire, the Impact on Participation and Autonomy Questionnaire, the Lubben Social Network Scale-6, Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey and Geriatric Depression Scale-15 from May to August 2023 in a community of Beijing, China. Latent profile analysis was used to analyse the latent profiles of social participation in elderly with hearing impairment. Multiple logistic regression was used to explore the predictors of different profiles. RESULTS The social participation of older people with hearing impairment in the community can be classified into three potential profiles: Profile 1 - high social participation group (76.05 %), Profile 2 - moderate social participation group (17.34 %), Profile 3 - low social participation group (6.61 %). Age, types of chronic diseases, self-reported health, severity of hearing impairment, social network, social support and depression were predictors of different profiles. CONCLUSIONS Nurses should pay attention to the characteristics, depression, social network and support of older people with different hearing impairment to improve social participation in different profiles. IMPLICATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS This was the first study exploring latent profiles of social participation in older people with hearing impairment. Insights from this study are useful for gerontological nursing to distinguish different profiles and further identify the characteristics of different profiles in older people with hearing impairment by characterizing the level of social participation in the community and better implement interventions according to profiles.

Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been broadly applied in biomedical and other fields. MOFs have high porosity, a large comparative area, and good biostability and have attracted significant attention, especially in cancer therapies. This paper presents the latest applications of MOFs in chemodynamic therapy (CDT), sonodynamic therapy (SDT), photodynamic therapy (PDT), photothermal therapy (PTT), immunotherapy (IT), and combination therapy for breast cancer. A combination therapy is the combination of two different treatment modalities, such as CDT and PDT combination therapy, and is considered more effective than separate therapies. Herein, we have also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of combination therapy in the treatment of breast cancer. This paper aims to illustrate the potential of MOFs in new cancer therapeutic approaches, discuss their potential advantages, and provide some reflections on the latest research results.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nursing students are critical in responding to public health emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic. Their ability to fulfill their responsibilities is influenced by their sense of responsibility, which holds profound cultural significance, particularly in traditional Chinese culture. However, limited research has specifically explored the sense of responsibility among undergraduate nursing students in China and globally. OBJECTIVES This study aimed to determine the sense of responsibility among undergraduate nursing students and identify potential factors associated with it. DESIGN, SETTING & PARTICIPANTS We conducted a cross-sectional study and recruited 526 nursing students from June to July 2022 in Guizhou province in southwest China. METHODS Participants completed the General Information Questionnaire, Sense of Responsibility, and Self-esteem Scale. We analyzed the relationship between a sense of responsibility and self-esteem using Spearman correlation analysis. Then we determined factors that affect undergraduate nursing students' sense of responsibility using multiple linear stepwise regression. RESULTS Nursing students' total sense of responsibility scores were 96(84,106). The study found a positive association between self-esteem and a sense of responsibility (r = 0.433, P < 0.001) and its four dimensions: altruism (r = 0.381, P < 0.001), self-control (r = 0.378, P < 0.001), courage (r = 0.300, p < 0.001), and commitment (r = 0.361, P < 0.001). Self-esteem (β = 1.532, p < 0.001), personality (extroverted personality β = 7.263, P < 0.001; neutral personality β = 3.221, P = 0.029), and social practice experience (β = -3.156, P = 0.010) significantly influenced undergraduate nursing students' sense of responsibility (R2 = 0.268, F = 17.065, P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS The study highlights the importance of nursing students' sense of responsibility and suggests room for improvement in its level. Higher self-esteem was associated with a stronger sense of responsibility. Additionally, self-esteem, personality, and social practice experience emerged as significant influencing factors. Nursing educators should prioritize students' sense of responsibility and explore targeted interventions, such as social practice activities, particularly for students with low self-esteem and introversion.

Abstract
Skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) is one of the most malignant forms of skin cancer, characterized by its high metastatic potential and low cure rate in advanced stages. Despite advancements in clinical therapies, the overall cure rate for SKCM remains low due to its resistance to conventional treatments. Inflammation is associated with the activation and regulation of inflammatory responses and plays a crucial role in the immune system. It has been implicated in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer. However, the mechanisms of inflammasome activation in SKCM remain largely unexplored. In this study, we quantified the expression level of six inflammasome-related gene sets using transcriptomic data from SKCM patients. As a result, we found that inflammasome features were closely associated with various clinical characteristics and served as a favorable prognostic factor for patients. A functional enrichment analysis revealed the oncogenic role of inflammasome features in SKCM. Unsupervised clustering was applied to identify immune clusters and inflammatory subtypes, revealing a significant overlap between immune cluster 4 and SKCM subtype 2. The CASP1, GSDMD, NLRP3, IL1B, and IL18 features could predict immune checkpoint blockade therapy response in various SKCM cohorts. In conclusion, our study highlighted the significant association between the inflammasome and cancer treatment. Understanding the role of inflammasome signaling in SKCM pathology can help identify potential therapeutic targets and improve patient prognosis.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Palliative management of large, symptomatic pulmonary lesions, either as primary lung cancers or metastases, can be challenging due to need to balance effective radiation doses for cytoreduction with safety. Spatially Fractionated Radiation Therapy (SFRT), or GRID Therapy, is an emerging technique, which delivers ablative doses of radiotherapy to small, selected areas of tumor, while sparing organs-at-risk (OARs), and has been shown to debulk large lesions in preliminary studies. Conventionally, an alloy GRID block is manufactured to deliver GRID therapy. However, this delivery technique poses a challenge due to need for block, and dosimetrically when the tumor is deep-seated as excess dose may be delivered to OARs, such as skin and chest wall. This study aims to develop a fast, automatic planning solution using multi-focal dynamic conformal arcs (DCA) on modern Linear Accelerator. MATERIALS/METHODS One late-stage lung cancer patient with simulated sphere target grid was included in this study. The sphere targets are 1.5cm in diameter and 4.3cm spacing. Four co-planar full arcs were used for optimization. The problem is formalized as finding optimal multi-leaf collimator (MLC) sequencing to cover N targets with K control points (CPs) for each arc. The state of each target's MLC opening at each CP is binary. In order to solve this NP-hard problem, the optimal solution was approximated by eliminating projection collision at each CP. MLC motion continuity and maximum speed were included in the cost function to ensure deliverability. The optimization started with randomized initial CP apertures, followed by solving state-transition equations for following CPs. Two grid arrays (9 and 10 targets respectively) were tested for plan quality. For each grid of target, the arc collimator angle was planned with 0 and 30 degrees for comparison. Prescription was 20 Gy per fraction. Monte Carlo simulation dose engine from matRad toolkit was used for dose calculation. Key dosimetric endpoints including target mean dose, D5%(Gy) and D95%(Gy), were reported. RESULTS Average calculation time on the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 × 6-Core 3.7GHz CPU and 32GB RAM platform varied from 31 to 44 minutes. One zero-degree collimator and one thirty-degree collimator were generated for each target array. For nine-target array, mean target dose from both plans ranged from 23.41 to 26.55 Gy, while D5%(Gy) and D95%(Gy) ranged from 25.45 to 30.16 Gy, and 20.00 to 22.21 Gy, respectively. For ten-target array, the range of target mean, D5%(Gy) and D95%(Gy) were 23.82 to 28.74 Gy, 26.50 to 33.11 Gy, and 20.00 to 22.49 Gy. CONCLUSION A fast, automatic planning solution for multi-focal DCA GRID therapy was developed. It provides clinically feasible plans with high efficiency for small target arrays for the late-stage cancer patient. The implementation provides excellent coverage for deep-seated tumors where alloy grid solution could fail to meet coverage objectives. Additional patients are needed in the future to further refine the technique.

Abstract
Versatile memory is strongly desired for end users, to protect their information in the information era. In particular, bit-level switchable memory that can be switched from rewritable to read-only function would allow end users to prevent important data being tampered with. However, no such switchable memory has been reported. We demonstrate that the rewritable function can be converted into read-only function by applying a sufficiently large current pulse in a U-shaped domain-wall memory, which comprises an asymmetric Pt/Co/Ru/AlOx heterostructure with strong Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. Wafer-scale switchable magnetic domain-wall memory arrays on 4-inch Si/SiO2 substrate are demonstrated. Furthermore, we confirm that the information can be stored in rewritable or read-only states at bit level according to the security needs of end users. Our work not only provides a solution for personal confidential data, but also paves the way for developing multifunctional spintronic devices.

Abstract
Atopic dermatitis (AD) and psoriasis are among the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases. Although AD and psoriasis are distinguished using clinical criteria, the lesions of these two diseases are sometimes highly similar, making diagnosis difficult. In addition, the mechanisms underlying these two diseases are not fully clear. Here, we aimed to identify potential genes and regulatory mechanisms in AD and psoriasis patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of AD and psoriasis. The GSE121212 dataset was obtained from the NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus database and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was applied. The functions of genes in modules of interest were determined using Gene Ontology enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis with the ggplot2 package of r. The hub genes were obtained using the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes database and then visualized using cytoscape. The MEgreen and MEbrown modules were identified to associate with AD and psoriasis, respectively, and the biological functions and pathways of genes in clinically significant modules were detected and analyzed. Hub genes in these two modules and details on potential protein interactions were also revealed. The genes and modules identified by WGCNA might contribute to our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of AD and psoriasis and aid in their diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract
Camellia oleifera (C. oleifera), one of the world's four major edible woody oil crops, has been widely planted in southern China's subtropical region for the extremely high nutritional and health benefits of its seed oil. Timing and synchronization of fruit dehiscence are critical factors influencing the oil output and quality, as well as the efficiency and cost of harvesting C. oleifera, yet they extremely lack attention. To gain an understanding of the molecular basis underlying the dehiscence of C. oleifera fruit, we sampled pericarp-replum tissues containing dehiscence zones from fruits at different developmental stages and performed time-series transcriptomic sequencing and analysis for the first time. Statistical and GO enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes revealed that drastic transcriptional changes occurred over the last short sampling interval (4 days, 18th-22nd October), which directed functional classifications link to cell wall and cell wall macromolecule activity. WGCNA further showed that factors controlling cell wall modification, including endo-1,3;1,4-beta-D-glucanase, WAT1-like protein 37, LRR receptor-like serine/threonine-protein kinase, and cellulose synthase A catalytic subunit, were identified as core members of the co-expression network of the last stage highly related modules. Furthermore, in these modules, we also noted genes that were annotated as coding for polygalacturonase and pectinesterase, two pectinases that were expected to be major players in cell separation during dehiscence. qRT-PCR further confirmed the expression profiles of these cell wall modification relating factors, which possessed a special high transcriptional abundance at the final stage. These results suggested the cell wall associated cell separation, one of the essential processes downstream of fruit dehiscence, happened in dehiscing fruit of C. oleifera during ripening. Hydrolases acting on cell wall components are good candidates for signal mediating dehiscence of C. oleifera fruit. In conclusion, our analysis provided insights into the cell wall macromolecule-mediated fruit dehiscence during ripening in C. oleifera.

Abstract
Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) for skin-like bioelectronics require mechanical stretchability, softness, and cost-effective large-scale manufacturing. However, developing intrinsically stretchable OECTs using a simple and fast-response technique is challenging due to limitations in functional materials, substrate wettability, and integrated processing of multiple materials. In this regard, we propose a fabrication method devised by combining the preparation of a microstructured hydrophilic substrate, multi-material printing of functional inks with varying viscosities, and optimization of the device channel geometries. The resulting intrinsically stretchable OECT array with synaptic properties was successfully manufactured. These devices demonstrated high transconductance (22.5 mS), excellent mechanical softness (Young's modulus ∼ 2.2 MPa), and stretchability (∼30%). Notably, the device also exhibited artificial synapse functionality, mimicking the biological synapse with features such as paired-pulse depression, short-term plasticity, and long-term plasticity. This study showcases a promising strategy for fabricating intrinsically stretchable OECTs and provides valuable insights for the development of brain-computer interfaces.

Abstract
Background Porcupine O-acyltransferase (PORCN), a membrane-bound O-acyltransferase, is crucial in Wnt ligand palmitoylation. However, the roles of PORCN in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unknown. Methods Western blot, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) assays, and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database were used to study the expression and prognostic values of PORCN in patients with HCC. Following this, Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), wound-healing tests, Transwell assay, and a xenograft mouse model were employed to examine the effect of PORCN on HCC cells. Finally, the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in cell proliferation and migration caused by PORCN were identified. Results The protein and messenger RNA (mRNA) levels of PORCN in HCC tissues were higher than those of adjacent normal tissues. The analysis of TCGA database indicated that patients with higher PORCN expression had a lower overall survival (OS) rate. Overexpression of PORCN could promote the proliferation and migration abilities of HCC cells both in vitro and in vivo. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) showed that the effect of PORCN on the biological characteristics of HCC cells mainly centered on the Wnt-β-catenin signaling pathway. Mechanically, immunofluorescence staining and subcellular protein fraction assays showed that PORCN could induce epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by promoting the translocation of β-catenin from the cytoplasm to nucleus, ultimately promoting the progression of HCC. Conclusions The findings of this study suggest that PORCN can promote HCC cell proliferation and migration by stimulating the Wnt-β-catenin signaling pathway. Therefore, PORCN may be a promising therapeutic target for HCC.

Abstract
Identifying topologically associating domains (TADs), which are considered as the basic units of chromosome structure and function, can facilitate the exploration of the 3D-structure of chromosomes. Methods have been proposed to identify TADs by detecting the boundaries of TADs or identifying the closely interacted regions as TADs, while the possible inner structure of TADs is seldom investigated. In this study, we assume that a TAD is composed of a core and its surrounding attachments, and propose a method, named CATAD, to identify TADs based on the core-attachment structure model. In CATAD, the cores of TADs are identified based on the local density and cosine similarity, and the surrounding attachments are determined based on boundary insulation. CATAD was applied to the Hi-C data of two human cell lines and two mouse cell lines, and the results show that the boundaries of TADs identified by CATAD are significantly enriched by structural proteins, histone modifications, transcription start sites and enzymes. Furthermore, CATAD outperforms other methods in many cases, in terms of the average peak, boundary tagged ratio and fold change. In addition, CATAD is robust and rarely affected by the different resolutions of Hi-C matrices. Conclusively, identifying TADs based on the core-attachment structure is useful, which may inspire researchers to explore TADs from the angles of possible spatial structures and formation process.

Abstract
Osteoporosis is a systemic osteopathy characterized by bone metabolism disorders that become more serious with age increases in postmenopausal women. Recent studies have found that antler protein is the main bioactive component of cervus pantotrichum, and it has a positive regulatory effect on bone metabolism and can improve estrogen level. This study aimed to investigate the effect of velvet antler extract (VAE) on the prevention of osteoporosis and the modulation of gut microbiota in ovariectomized (OVX) mice. OVX mice treated with 12 weeks of VAE exhibited higher levels of serum BGP, Ca2+, CT, and HyP (p < .05). Micro-CT scans showed that VAE significantly elevated bone volume fraction (BV/TV), trabecular bone number (Tb.N), trabecular bone thickness (Tb.Th), trabecular bone connection density (Conn.D), decreased trabecular separation (Tb.Sp), and structural modality index (SMI) than untreated OVX mice. The right tibial retinaculum in the VAE group was clearer, with a clearer reticular structure, smaller gaps, a tighter distribution, and a more orderly arrangement. The gut microbiota of the cecal contents was analyzed by 16 s rDNA amplicon sequencing. The data indicated that VAE modulated the species, numbers, and diversity of the gut microbiota in OVX mice. Ovariectomy caused dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiota by increasing the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes in mice, but the ratio decreased after treatment with VAE. These results suggest that VAE has a therapeutic effect on OVX mice via modulate bone-related biochemical markers in serum and structure of gut microbiota.

Abstract
To meet the increasing global demand for energy, better recovery of crude oil from reservoirs must be achieved using methods that are economical and environmentally benign. Here, we have developed a nanofluid of amphiphilic clay-based Janus nanosheets via a facile and scalable method that provides potential to enhance oil recovery. With the aid of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) intercalation and ultrasonication, kaolinite was exfoliated into nanosheets (KaolNS) before being grafted with 3-methacryloxypropyl-triemethoxysilane (KH570) on the Alumina Octahedral Sheet at 40 and 70 °C to form amphiphilic Janus nanosheets (i.e., KaolKH@40 and KaolKH@70). The amphiphilicity and Janus nature of the KaolKH nanosheets have been well demonstrated, with distinct wettability obtained on two sides of the nanosheets, and the KaolKH@70 was more amphiphilic than the KaolKH@40. Upon preparing Pickering emulsion in a hydrophilic glass tube, the KaolKH@40 preferentially stabilized emulsions, while the KaolNS and KaolKH@70 tended to form an observable and high-strength elastic planar interfacial film at the oil-water interface as well as films climbing along the tube's surface, which were supposed to be the result of emulsion instability and the strong adherence of Janus nanosheets towards tube's surface. Subsequently, the KaolKH was grafted with poly(N-Isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm), and the prepared thermo-responsive Janus nanosheets demonstrated a reversible transformation between stable emulsion and the observable interfacial films. Finally, when the samples were subjected to core flooding tests, the nanofluid containing 0.01 wt% KaolKH@40 that formed stable emulsions showed an enhanced oil recovery (EOR) rate of 22.37%, outperforming the other nanofluids that formed observable films (an EOR rate ~13%), showcasing the superiority of Pickering emulsions from interfacial films. This work demonstrates that KH-570-modified amphiphilic clay-based Janus nanosheets have the potential to be used to improve oil recovery, especially when it is able to form stable Pickering emulsions.

Abstract
This paper attempts to reveal the enrichment status, spatial characteristics and material sources of typical soil trace elements at permafrost section along National Highway 214 on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Therefore, the samples of typical trace elements in surface soil, being located at the northern slope of Bayan Kara Mountains, were collected and tested. The concentrations of typical trace elements in soil were analysed by mathematical statistics, spatial analysis and ecological assessment. The results show that: (1) the concentrations of As, Cd and Hg in the soil are higher than the local background values, and their degrees of variation were high. There was a certain degree of accumulation. Soil As and Hg elements constitute "slight pollution", indicating there is a none-to-slight ecological hazard. (2) The distributions of soil As, Cd, Pb and Zn concentrations are lower near the highway and increase with distance from it and then become relatively low further away. The distributions of Cr, Cu, Hg and Ni concentrations show no obvious trends in any direction. (3) The spatial heterogeneity of typical trace elements in soil is affected by soil organic matter (SOM), cation exchange capacity (CEC), pH, slope curvature and aspect. At the local scale, soil texture and topography were the main affecting factors. Concentrations of Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn were mainly affected by natural factors, while those of As and Hg were affected by both natural and human factors.

Abstract
The cytokinin two-component signal transduction system (TCS) is involved in many biological processes, including hormone signal transduction and plant growth regulation. Although cytokinin TCS has been well characterized in Arabidopsis thaliana, its role in tomato remains elusive. In this study, we characterized the diversity and function of response regulator (RR) genes, a critical component of TCS, in tomato. In total, we identified 31 RR genes in the tomato genome. These SlRR genes were classified into three subgroups (type-A, type-B and type-C). Various stress-responsive cis-elements were present in the tomato RR gene promoters. Their expression responses under pesticide treatment were evaluated by transcriptome analysis. Their expression under heat, cold, ABA, salinity and NaHCO3 treatments was further investigated by qRT-PCR and complemented with the available transcription data under these treatments. Specifically, SlRR13 expression was significantly upregulated under salinity, drought, cold and pesticide stress and was downregulated under ABA treatment. SlRR23 expression was induced under salt treatment, while the transcription level of SlRR1 was increased under cold and decreased under salt stress. We also found that GATA transcription factors played a significant role in the regulation of SlRR genes. Based on our results, tomato SlRR genes are involved in responses to abiotic stress in tomato and could be implemented in molecular breeding approaches to increase resistance of tomato to environmental stresses.

Abstract
Excessive exercise leads to body fatigue and destroys the balance of the oxidation/oxidation resistance system in the body, thus damaging the central nervous system and reducing learning and memory ability. Nrf2 is an important transcription factor that regulates the cell oxidative stress response. Therefore, the research and development of natural antioxidants with the effect of regulating Nrf2-related signalling pathways to improve central fatigue caused by body fatigue has application value. Methods and results: Cordyceps militaris polysaccharides were extracted, isolated and purified via DEAE-cellulose 52 and Sepharose CL-6B columns to obtain two saccharides, Cordyceps militaris acidic polysaccharides (CMPB) and CMPB-b. The results of behavioural tests showed that compared with the model group, the learning and memory abilities of the CMPB-H group (800 mg/kg) mice were remarkably improved in the dark avoidance and Morris water maze tasks (p < 0.01), and the levels of fatigue metabolites and oxidative stress in the body were obviously decreased (p < 0.01). The expression level of BDNF, PI3K, Nrf2 and HO-1 proteins in the hippocampus were significantly increased (p < 0.01). In vitro experiments, compared with the PC12 oxidative stress model group, CMPB-b high-dose group (100 μg/mL) had remarkably improved oxidative stress. CMPB-b also obviously promoted the phosphorylation of PI3K and AKT proteins (p < 0.01) and the nuclear translocation of Nrf2 (p < 0.01), and significantly increased the expression of HO-1 (p < 0.01). Conclusion: CMPB can alleviate the fatigue state of high-intensity swimming mice and improve the learning and memory impairment of exercise-fatigue mice by regulating the Nrf2-related signalling pathway. Its antioxidant active component CMPB-b exerts in vitro antioxidative neurological damage by the same mechanism. Our systematic studies provide strong supporting evidence for the future use of Cordyceps militaris acidic polysaccharides in health products to improve resistance to fatigue.

Abstract
Seismic velocities in rocks are highly sensitive to changes in permanent deformation and fluid content. The temporal variation of seismic velocity during the preparation phase of earthquakes has been well documented in laboratories but rarely observed in nature. It has been recently found that some anthropogenic, high-frequency (>1 Hz) seismic sources are powerful enough to generate body waves that travel down to a few kilometers and can be used to monitor fault zones at seismogenic depth. Anthropogenic seismic sources typically have fixed spatial distribution and provide new perspectives for velocity monitoring. In this work, we propose a systematic workflow to seek such powerful seismic sources in a rapid and straightforward manner. We tackle the problem from a statistical point of view, considering that persistent, powerful seismic sources yield highly coherent correlation functions (CFs) between pairs of seismic sensors. The algorithm is tested in California and Japan. Multiple sites close to fault zones show high-frequency CFs stable for an extended period of time. These findings have great potential for monitoring fault zones, including the San Jacinto Fault and the Ridgecrest area in Southern California, Napa in Northern California, and faults in central Japan. However, extra steps, such as beamforming or polarization analysis, are required to determine the dominant seismic sources and study the source characteristics, which are crucial to interpreting the velocity monitoring results. Train tremors identified by the present approach have been successfully used for seismic velocity monitoring of the San Jacinto Fault in previous studies.

Abstract
The plant calcineurin B-like protein-CBL interacting protein kinase (CBL-CIPK) signaling pathway is a Ca2+-related signaling pathway that responds strongly to both biological and abiotic environmental stimuli. This study identified eight CBL and eighteen CIPK genes from peach for the first time. Their basic properties and gene structure were analyzed, and the CBL and CIPK members from Arabidopsis and apple were combined to study their evolutionary relationships. Using RT-qPCR and RNA-seq data, we detected the expression patterns of PprCBLs and PprCIPKs in different tissues and fruit development stages of peach. Among them, the expression levels of PprCBL1 and PprCIPK18 were stable in various tissues and stages. The expression patterns of other members showed specificity between cultivars and developmental stages. By treating shoots with drought and salt stress simulated using PEG6000 and NaCl, it was found that PprCIPK3, PprCIPK6, PprCIPK15 and PprCIPK16 were strongly responsive to salt stress, and PprCIPK3, PprCIPK4, PprCIPK10, PprCIPK14, PprCIPK15, PprCIPK16 and PprCIPK18 were sensitive to drought stress. Three genes, PprCIPK3, PprCIPK15 and PprCIPK16, were sensitive to both salt and drought stress. We cloned four PprCBL and several PprCIPK genes and detected their interaction by yeast two-hybrid assay (Y2H). The results of Y2H show not only the evolutionary conservation of the interaction network of CBL-CIPK but also the specificity among different species. In conclusion, CBL and CIPK genes are important in peach and play an important role in the response to various abiotic stresses.

Microseismic noise has been used for seismic velocity monitoring. However, such signals are dominated by low-frequency surface waves that are not ideal for detecting changes associated with small tectonic processes. Here we show that it is possible to extract stable, high-frequency body waves using seismic tremors generated by freight trains. Such body waves allow us to focus on small velocity perturbations in the crust with high spatial resolution. We report on 10 years of seismic velocity temporal changes at the San Jacinto Fault. We observe and map a two-month-long episode of velocity changes with complex spatial distribution and interpret the velocity perturbation as produced by a previously undocumented slow-slip event. We verify the hypothesis through numerical simulations and locate this event along a fault segment believed to be locked. Such a slow-slip event stresses its surroundings and may trigger a major earthquake on a fault section approaching failure.

Abstract
Many scholars have benefited a lot from the social media environment. However, due to the privacy and environmental complexity of academic knowledge innovation under the new media environment, reasons for the successful innovation are still difficult to be figured out and copied, which results in potential losses in the promotion of its academic value. The results show that the progressive and radical academic knowledge innovation in the social media environment take fragmented knowledge accumulation and innovation incentive as the main route respectively, and the ways to realize innovation include encounter complementary type, creative accumulation type, content dependent type, leader following type, self-published type and functional excitation type. These research results greatly promote the development of knowledge innovation theory in social media environment, and is of great reference significance for academic individuals and social media platforms to make decisions.

Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between blood platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and clinicopathological characteristics of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and evaluate the value of PLR for predicting the efficacy of chemotherapy and prognosis. Methods The clinical data of 175 patients with advanced NSCLC diagnosed from March 2017 to December 2018 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed, and the data of 175 healthy subjects from our hospital physical examinations were included. The platelet was detected by using a blood cell analyzer to calculate PLR. According to the average PLR value (197) before chemotherapy, 175 patients were divided into the low PLR group (=78) and the high PLR group (=97). The relationship between the expression levels of PLR and clinicopathologic features was analyzed, and the Kaplan-Meier survival curve was used to analyze the relationship between the expression levels of PLR and prognosis. Results The results showed that prechemotherapy PLR levels were significantly higher in NSCLC compared with the healthy subjects (P < 0.05). After 4 cycles of chemotherapy, the PLR levels were significantly lower than those during prechemotherapy (P < 0.05). The proportion of TNM (IV) stage cases in the low PLR group was lower than that in the high PLR group (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the first-line chemotherapy was 46.9% (82/175). The effective rate of IIIb staging was higher than that in IV staging (P < 0.05), and the effective rate of the low PLR group was higher than that in the high PLR group (P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic analysis showed that TNM stage 4 and high PLR level were the independent risk factors for the efficacy of the first-line chemotherapy in patients with advanced NSCLC (P < 0.05), and the high PLR level was an independent risk factor affecting the prognosis of patients with advanced NSCLC. The median overall survival (OS) of patients with the low PLR group was 20.8 months, higher than the 12.0 months of patients with the high PLR group (P < 0.05). Conclusion PLR might have a certain clinical significance for predicting the TNM staging of NSCLC and can provide important diagnostic and prognostic results for patients.

Abstract
Four homodinuclear lanthanide complexes, Dy2 (LOEt)2(OAc)4 (1), Tb2 (LOEt)2(OAc)4 (2), Ho2(LOEt)2(OAc)4 (3), and Gd2 (LOEt)2(OAc)4 (4), have been synthesized and characterized based on a tripodal oxygen ligand Na [(η5-C5H5)Co(P(O)(OC2H5)2)3] (NaLOEt). Structural analyses show that the acetate anions bridge two symmetry-related Ln3+ ions in the μ2:η1:η1 and μ2:η1:η2 coordination patterns, and each lanthanide (III) ion owns a twisted square antiprism (SAPR) conformation. Static magnetic measurements reveal the weak intramolecular ferromagnetic interaction between dysprosium (III) ions in 1 and antiferromagnetic Ln3+···Ln3+ couplings in the other three complexes. Through the analysis of the ligand-field effect and magnetic anisotropy axis orientation, the reasons for the lack of dynamic magnetic behavior in 1 were identified.

Abstract
This paper examines the first wave spread of COVID-19 in China and its impact on TFP growth for 2020, and assess the role of anti-epidemic lockdown policy in suppressing the pandemic. Methodologically, we systematically quantify the disparity in the pandemic's productivity impact and the role of lockdown policies across regions, by combining the prefecture-level TFP growth for 422 regions (including 276 municipal cites and 146 county regions) with the daily statistics on the pandemic. Our results show that the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on TFP growth are more likely to occur in municipal cities, compared to rural areas. Moreover, the anti-epidemic quarantine policy succeeded to bring the COVID-19 pandemic down in China, but it may generate additional costs through dampening TFP growth if overused. Given the regions either with a relative higher resilience level or in the remote rural areas suffered more from the strict regulation. A more flexible policy is required to be designed so as to mitigate the ongoing COVID-19 impacts in future. These findings provide useful insights for China, as well as other Asian developing countries, to cope with its continuing episodes.

Abstract
Biofunctional surface-modification surpassed critical limitation of graphene oxide (GO) in biocompatibility and drug delivery efficiency, contributing to versatile biomedical applications. Here, a protein corona-bridged GO nanoplatform with high drug loading, longstanding hyperthermia, and controllable drug release, was engineered for amplified tumor therapeutic benefits. Structurally, GO surface was installed with phenylboronic acid (PBA) layer, on which iRGD conjugated apolipoprotein A-I (iRGD-apoA-I) was coordinated via boron electron-deficiency, to form the sandwich-like GO nanosheet (iAPG). The GO camouflaging by iRGD-apoA-I corona provided multimodal high doxorubicin (DOX) loading by π-π stacking and coordination, and generated a higher photothermal transformation efficiency simultaneously. In vitro studies demonstrated that iAPG significantly improved drug penetration and internalization, then achieved tumor-targeted DOX release through near-infrared (NIR) controlled endo/lysosome disruption. Moreover, iAPG mediated site-specific drug shuttling to produce a 3.53-fold enhancement of tumor drug-accumulation compared to the free DOX in vivo, and induced deep tumor penetration dramatically. Primary tumor ablation and spontaneous metastasis inhibition were further demonstrated with negligible side effects under optimal NIR. Taken together, our work provided multifunctional protein corona strategy to inorganic nanomaterials toward advantageous biomedical applications.

Abstract
In eukaryotes, three-dimensional (3D) chromatin architecture maintains genome stability and is important in regulating gene transcription. However, little is known about the mechanisms by which diverse ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complexes regulate the 3D chromatin structure in plants. We examined the 3D chromatin structure within the ATPase subunit of the SWI/SNF, ISWI, INO80, and CHD remodeling complexes in wild-type (WT) and mutant Arabidopsis thaliana plants by combining high-throughput sequencing with in situ Hi-C, the enrichment of histone marks, nucleosome density, and gene expression. We found that compartment regions switched and compartmental strength was significantly weakened in all four enzyme mutants. Chromatin remodeling complexes differentially regulated the nucleosome distribution pattern and density within the switching compartments. Alterations of nucleosome distribution pattern and density were associated with a reduction in H3K27me3 levels in the chromatin remodeling enzyme mutants and led to compartment switching. Our data show that chromatin remodeling complexes regulate the linear nucleosome distribution pattern and density to promote H3K27me3 deposition, which in turn regulates 3D chromatin structure.

Abstract
HIV prevalence among men who have sex with men in China has increased dramatically, and timely linkage to care after being diagnosed with HIV is important to treatment success. This cross-sectional study aims to utilize structural equation modeling to test a hypothesized model of timely linkage to care adapted from the HIV-related stigma framework. Data were collected from 257 men who have sex with men living with HIV. The proportion of participants with timely linkage to care within one month was 63.42%. The model result showed a good fit. Higher HIV-related stigma was significantly associated with a lower level of social support, mental health, maladaptive coping (three mechanism variables), and attitude toward linkage to care. Higher CD4+ T-cell count, disclosure of HIV positivity to sexual partners, and greater convenience of accessing care were related to timely linkage to care (p< 0.05). These model results suggest that enhancing attention to family reactions and social support are needed for further research and interventions to accelerate newly diagnosed people's access to HIV care in China.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Camellia oleifera (C.oleifera) is one of the most important wood oil species in the world. C.oleifera was propagated by nurse seedling grafting. Since the morphology of rootstocks has a significant impact on grafting efficiency and seedling quality, it is necessary to understand the molecular mechanism of morphogenesis for cultivating high-quality and controllable rootstocks. However, the genomic resource for this species is relatively limited, which hinders us from fully understanding the molecular mechanisms of seed germination in C.oleifera. RESULTS In this paper, using transcriptome sequencing, we measured the gene expression in the C.oleifera cotyledon in different stages of development and the global gene expression profiles. Approximately 45.4 gigabases (GB) of paired-end clean reads were assembled into 113,582 unigenes with an average length of 396 bp. Six public protein databases annotate 61.5% (68,217) of unigenes. We identified 11,391 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) throughout different stages of germination. Enrichment analysis revealed that DEGs were mainly involved in hormone signal transduction and starch sucrose metabolism pathways. The gravitropism regulator UNE10, the meristem regulators STM, KNAT1, PLT2, and root-specific transcription factor WOX11 all have higher gene expression levels in the CAM2 stage (seed soaking), which indicates that the cotyledon-regulated program for germination had initiated when the seeds were imbibition. Our data showed differentially reprogrammed to multiple hormone-related genes in cotyledons during C.oleifera seed germination. CONCLUSION Cotyledons play vital roles, both as the main nutrient provider and as one primary instructor for seed germination and seedling growth. Together, our study will significantly enrich the genomic resources of Camellia and help us understand the molecular mechanisms of the development in the seed germination and seedling growth of C.oleifera. It is helpful to culture standard and superior quality rootstock for C.oleifera breeding.

Abstract
Caring for people with dementia causes heavy care burdens to their families. Family coping is important in decreasing burdens and promoting family adaptation. To comprehensively assess and understand these issues, we validated the Chinese version of the Family Crisis Oriented Personal Evaluation Scales (F-COPES) which is widely used to evaluate family coping. Data for psychometric property evaluation were obtained from 215 family members of patients with dementia. The instrument showed satisfactory content validity (scale content validity index 0.98), convergent validity (r = 0.50, P < 0.01), and internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha 0.86). The confirmatory factor analysis identified six factors, namely, acquiring relatives' support, acquiring friends' support, acquiring neighbors' or others' support, seeking spiritual support, reframing, and passive appraisal (χ2/df 1.86, CFI 0.88, TLI 0.87, PGFI 0.68, RMSEA 0.06). This instrument may serve as a useful scale for assessing the coping behaviors of families of patients with dementia in mainland China.

Abstract
Increasing knowledge of drug delivery properties, tumor profiles and their relationship promotes precise administration regimens, representing a promising pattern to personalized tumor treatment. Herein, we propose a regulatory hydrogel depot toward metastatic cancer by establishing mathematical models between tumor characteristics and administration regimens. Specifically, a thermo-sensitive PLGA-PEG-PLGA polymer is introduced as injectable hydrogel matrix, of which the administration volume and frequency are manipulated elaborately according to tumor size and gel-degradation kinetics. Structurally, doxorubicin (Dox) and arginine-terminated nanoparticles containing KIAA1199 specific shRNA (shKIAARPDNs) are incorporated into hydrogels, thereby formulating a topical and sustained drug depot to achieve synergy treatment. For dual-targeting therapy, Dox interdicts DNA replication/transcription, and shKIAA persistently silences KIAA1199 protein to modulate aggressive phenotypes. After individual peritumoral injection, Gel/shKIAARPDNs/Dox demonstrates desirable distribution patterns and gel degradation kinetics with enhanced tumor penetration. Moreover, a preferable inhibition of tumor proliferation and metastasis is confirmed after twice treatment in 12 days, indicating better therapeutic efficacy with less dosage and frequency. Consequently, the controllable administration regimen inspired mathematical models of thermosensitive hydrogel provides an intelligent platform for personalized treatment to metastatic cancer.

Abstract
Objectives This study aimed to translate the revised 17-item Diabetes Distress Scale (DDS17, 2017) into mandarin (simplified) Chinese and validate the Chinese version of DDS17 (C-DDS17, 2021) among adult patients with type 2 diabetes in China. Methods A scale translation and cross-sectional validation study was conducted. The DDS17 was translated into mandarin (simplified) Chinese through a five-step process: authorization, forward translation, synthesis, back translation, and amendment. During this session, 59 patients assessed the understandability and readability of the translated scale. From June 7 to September 4, 2021, a cross-sectional study that adhered to the COSMIN checklist was conducted with 400 individuals with type 2 diabetes from three Class A tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Beijing, China. The content, construct, convergent, discriminant validity, and reliability (Cronbach’s α coefficient and item-total correlation coefficients) of the C-DDS17 were evaluated. This study was a part of a project registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (no. ChiCTR2100047071). Results Among the participants, 33.3% (133/400) of them experienced moderate to high diabetes distress. The content validity indices of the C-DDS17 equaled 1.00. The scale yielded a four-factor structure. The average variances extracted were 0.42–0.57, which was lower than squared correlations. Cronbach’s α coefficient was 0.88 for the overall scale and ranged from 0.76 to 0.81 for sub-scales. Corrected item-total correlation coefficients ranged from 0.42 to 0.61. The eighth item (“Feeling that I am often failing with my diabetes routine”) was better fit to physician distress than regimen distress but had little influence on the validation results. Conclusions The C-DDS17 is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing diabetes distress in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is a promising instrument for early identification and management of diabetes distress in clinical practice and trials.

Abstract
The TIFY family is a plant-specific gene family involved in regulating many plant processes, such as development and growth, defense and stress responses, fertility and reproduction, and the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. The v2.0 peach (Prunus persica) genome, which has an improved chromosome-scale assembly and contiguity, has recently been released, but a genome-wide investigation of the peach TIFY family is lacking. In this study, 16 TIFY family genes from the peach genome were identified according to the peach reference genome sequence information and further validated by cloning sequencing. The synteny, phylogenetics, location, structure, and conserved domains and motifs of these genes were analyzed, and finally, the peach TIFY family was characterized into 9 JAZ, 1 TIFY, 1 PPD and 5 ZML subfamily members. Expression profiles of peach JAZ, PPD, and ZML genes in various organs and fruit developmental stages were analyzed, and they showed limited effects with fruit ripening cues. Four TIFY members were significantly affected at the mRNA level by exogenous treatment with MeJA in the peach epicarp, and among them, PpJAZ1, PpJAZ4 and PpJAZ5 were significantly correlated with fruit epicarp pigmentation. In addition, the TIFY family member protein interaction networks established by the yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) assay not only showed similar JAZ-MYC2 and JAZ homo- and heterodimer patterns as those found in Arabidopsis but also extended the JAZ dimer network to ZML-ZML and JAZ-ZML interactions. The PpJAZ3-PpZML4 interaction found in this study suggests the potential formation of the ZML-JAZ-MYC complex in the JA-signaling pathway, which may extend our knowledge of this gene family's functions in diverse biological processes.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to optimize the separation and purification technology of water-soluble Ginkgo biloba leaves polysaccharides (WGBP), analyze its composition characteristics, observe its hair-growth promoting effect in alopecia areata mice, clarify the polysaccharide fraction with bioactive activities, and explore its anti-inflammation mechanism. We isolated acidic polysaccharides (WGBP-A2) and purified a RG-I type polysaccharide (WGBP-A2b) with a molecular weight of 44 kDa. Results showed that WGBP-A2 could significantly increase the contents of VEGF and HGF in the skin tissue of alopecia areata mice, decrease the contents of Inflammatory factors in the serum. On a cellular level, the expressions of p-p65 and p-IκBα, TNF-α and IL-1β in HUVECs treated with WGBP-A2b were down-regulated. The bioinformatic analysis showed that the inflammation signaling pathway was significantly changed. Its specific mechanism may be related to its regulating the expression of p-p65 p-IκBα, TNF-α and IL-1β proteins in the inflammation signaling pathway.

Abstract
Among the numerous two-dimensional van der Waals (vdW) magnetic materials, Fe3GeTe2 (FGT), due to its outstanding properties such as metallicity, high Curie temperature and strong perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, has quickly emerged as a candidate with the most potential for the fabrication of all-vdW spintronic devices. Here, we fabricated a simple vertical homojunction based on two few-layer exfoliated FGT flakes. Under a certain range of external magnetic fields, the magnetization reversal can be achieved by applying a negative or positive pulse current, which can reduce the coercivity through the spin orbit torque of FGT itself in addition to the Joule heat. Moreover, the asymmetrical switching current is caused by the spin transfer torque in the homojunction. As the temperature increases, the magnetization reversal can be observed at a smaller external magnetic field. Our demonstrations of the current-assisted magnetization reversal under a magnetic field in all-vdW structures may provide support for the potential application of vdW magnetism.

Abstract
Aim This study aimed to assess advance care planning readiness among patients with chronic diseases and identify its relationship to patients’ coping styles. Design A cross‐sectional study. Methods Patients with chronic diseases (N = 168) were recruited from community health service centres. We used a self‐designed and validated “advance care planning readiness questionnaire” to measure the patients’ advance care planning readiness and a "simplified coping style questionnaire” to measure the patients’ coping styles. Results Multiple linear regression analyses observed a positive relationship between “active coping style” (p = .002, 95%CI: 1.788, 7.599) with ACP readiness and a negative relationship between “passive coping style” (p < .001, 95%CI: −10.526, −4.274) with ACP readiness. Our study showed that there was a clear relationship between coping styles and ACP readiness. We suggest encouraging patients to choose more active coping strategies and to explore suitable conversation strategies for different coping styles when facilitating ACP discussion.
