Abstract
Reinforced cellular responses to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress are caused by a variety of pathological conditions including cancers. Human rhomboid family-1 protein (RHBDF1), a multiple transmembrane protein located mainly on the ER, has been shown to promote cancer development, while the binding immunoglobulin protein (BiP) is a key regulator of cellular unfolded protein response (UPR) for the maintenance of ER protein homeostasis. In this study, we investigated the role of RHBDF1 in maintaining ER protein homeostasis in breast cancer cells. We showed that deleting or silencing RHBDF1 in breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 caused marked aggregation of unfolded proteins in proximity to the ER. We demonstrated that RHBDF1 directly interacted with BiP, and this interaction had a stabilizing effect on the BiP protein. Based on the primary structural motifs of RHBDF1 involved in BiP binding, we found a pentapeptide (PE5) targeted BiP and inhibited BiP ATPase activity. SPR assay revealed a binding affinity of PE5 toward BiP (Kd = 57.7 μM). PE5 (50, 100, 200 μM) dose-dependently promoted ER protein aggregation and ER stress-mediated cell apoptosis in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. In mouse 4T1 breast cancer xenograft model, injection of PE5 (10 mg/kg, s.c., every 2 days for 2 weeks) significantly inhibited the tumor growth with markedly increased ER stress and apoptosis-related proteins in tumor tissues. Our results suggest that the ability of RHBDF1 to maintain BiP protein stability is critical to ER protein homeostasis in breast cancer cells, and that the pentapeptide PE5 may serve as a scaffold for the development of a new class of anti-BiP inhibitors.

Abstract
Purpose China lifted its strict zero-Covid approach on December 7, 2022. This study aimed to investigate depression and anxiety symptoms and their associations among Chinese residents after the change in public policy. Methods A cross-sectional sample of 925 Chinese residents (726 females and 199 males) was recruited using convenience and snowball sampling approach between 16 and 25 December 2022. Participants completed online questionnaires on basic information, depression, anxiety, COVID-19 related perceptions, and protective behaviors change. Results Mild and moderate-to-severe depression symptoms were reported by 35.6% and 19.1% of participants, respectively. Nearly 40% of participants reported mild anxiety and 18.7% reported moderate-to-severe anxiety. Results from multinomial logistic regression analysis indicated that male gender, younger age, the presence of chronic disease, poorer self-rated mental health status, perceived impact, and worry were risk factors for both depression and anxiety, while higher education and protective behaviors change were protective factors. Besides, living with or caring for children (4-6 years), family members or other housemates currently with influenza-like symptoms, and perceived severity were also risk factors for depression. Conclusion Our findings provided initial evidence that Chinese residents may face heightened depression and anxiety during the early stage after the policy was released. Furthermore, we identified some vulnerable populations in need of prioritizing mental health assistance and some potentially modifiable factors associated with depression and anxiety, which provides an important guide for developing timely and effective psychological interventions and preparing for future pandemics.

[Application and evaluation of artificial intelligence TPS-assisted cytologic screening system in urine exfoliative cytology]. Abstract
Objective: To explore the application of manual screening collaborated with the Artificial Intelligence TPS-Assisted Cytologic Screening System in urinary exfoliative cytology and its clinical values. Methods: A total of 3 033 urine exfoliated cytology samples were collected at the Henan People's Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. Liquid-based thin-layer cytology was prepared. The slides were manually read under the microscope and digitally presented using a scanner. The intelligent identification and analysis were carried out using an artificial intelligence TPS assisted screening system. The Paris Report Classification System of Urinary Exfoliated Cytology 2022 was used as the evaluation standard. Atypical urothelial cells and even higher grade lesions were considered as positive when evaluating the recognition sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic accuracy of artificial intelligence-assisted screening systems and human-machine collaborative cytologic screening methods in urine exfoliative cytology. Among the collected cases, there were also 1 100 pathological tissue controls. Results: The accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of the AI-assisted cytologic screening system were 77.18%, 90.79% and 69.49%; those of human-machine coordination method were 92.89%, 99.63% and 89.09%, respectively. Compared with the histopathological results, the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of manual reading were 79.82%, 74.20% and 95.80%, respectively, while those of AI-assisted cytologic screening system were 93.45%, 93.73% and 92.66%, respectively. The accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of human-machine coordination method were 95.36%, 95.21% and 95.80%, respectively. Both cytological and histological controls showed that human-machine coordination review method had higher diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity, and lower false negative rates. Conclusions: The artificial intelligence TPS assisted cytologic screening system has achieved acceptable accuracy in urine exfoliation cytologic screening. The combination of manual screening and artificial intelligence TPS assisted screening system can effectively improve the sensitivity and accuracy of cytologic screening and reduce the risk of misdiagnosis.

Abstract
Melanoma is a dangerous form of skin cancer, making it important to investigate new mechanisms and approaches to enhance the effectiveness of treatment. Here, we establish a positive correlation between the human rhomboid family-1 (RHBDF1) protein and melanoma malignancy. We demonstrate that the melanoma RHBDF1 decrease dramatically inhibits tumor growth and the development of lung metastases, which may be related to the impaired glycolysis. We show that RHBDF1 function is essential to the maintenance of high levels of glycolytic enzymes, especially glucose-6-phosphate isomerase (GPI). Additionally, we discover that the E3 ubiquitin ligase tripartite motif-containing 32 (TRIM32) mediates the K27/K63-linked ubiquitination of GPI and the ensuing lysosomal degradation process. We prove that the multi-transmembrane domain of RHBDF1 is in competition with GPI, preventing the latter from interacting with NCL1-HT2A-LIN41 (NHL) domain of TRIM32. We also note that the mouse RHBDF1's R747 and Y799 are crucial for competitive binding and GPI protection. Artificially silencing the Rhbdf1 gene in a mouse melanoma model results in declined lactic acid levels, elevated cytotoxic lymphocyte infiltration, and improved tumor responsiveness to immunotherapy. These results provide credence to the hypothesis that RHBDF1 plays a significant role in melanoma regulation and suggest that blocking RHBDF1 may be an efficient technique for reestablishing the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) in melanoma and halting its progression.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Current guidelines stress the importance of exercise, especially multicomponent exercise to older adults with chronic conditions. AIM To critically synthesise evidence that evaluates the effects of multicomponent exercise on quality of life, depression and anxiety after stroke. DESIGN Systematic review and meta-analysis followed the PRISMA 2020 statement. METHODS A systematic search of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CINAHL and PsycINFO from inception to 12 June 2023 was performed. Risk of bias was assessed using the Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomised trials (RoB 2). Meta-analyses were conducted using Review Manager 5.4 and narrative syntheses were adopted whenever meta-analysis was inappropriate. The overall certainty of the evidence was rated using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) approach. RESULTS Of 15,351 records identified, nine were eligible and data were available for seven randomised controlled trials, three of which were identified as having a high risk of bias, one as low risk, and five as having some concerns. Subgroup pooled analyses indicated that multicomponent exercise engaged in longer exercise sessions (>60 min) was effective in improving quality of life immediately post-intervention and through 3-6 months post-intervention. However, multicomponent exercise did not significantly affect depression and anxiety. CONCLUSIONS Multicomponent exercise with longer duration of exercise sessions has promising effects on both short- to medium-term quality of life among stroke survivors. PATIENT OR PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION This does not apply to our work as it is a review paper. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE Healthcare providers could consider encouraging the patients to participate in multicomponent exercise sessions for more than 60 min. It is important to note that stroke survivors should be supervised by trained personnel at the beginning of the training. REGISTRATION The protocol was registered on PROSPERO.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the moderating mechanism of mindfulness on perceived stress and job burnout of medical staff. Methods: From November 2020 to March 2022, 1626 medical staff were investigated by questionnaires. Chinese Version Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS), Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Service Survey (MBI-HSS) and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) were used to evaluate the perceived stress, three dimensions of job burnout[depersonalization (DP), emotional exhaustion (EE), personal accomplishment (PA) ], and mindfulness level of medical staff. The Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between mindfulness and perceived stress, job burnout of medical staff. And the SPSS PROCESS macro program was used to test the moderating effect of mindfulness on perceived stress and job burnout. Results: Among the 1626 medical staff, 57.38% had perceived stress with health risk (933/1626), and 63.84% (1038/1626) had job burnout, among them, with 618 (38.01%), 274 (16.85%), and 146 (8.98%) experiencing mild, moderate and severe job burnout, respectively. The scores of mindfulness among medical staff were significantly correlated with perceived stress and various dimensions of job burnout (EE, DP and PA) (r(s)=-0.155, -0.351, -0.315, 0.307, P<0.001). Mindfulness had a moderating effect between perceived stress and job burnout, which was achieved through three moderating pathways: perceived stress-mindfulness-EE, perceived stress-mindfulness-DP and perceived stress-mindfulness-PA (ΔR(2)=0.073, 0.06, 0.006, P<0.001) . Conclusion: Medical staff have a high level of job burnout, mindfulness plays a moderating role between perceived stress and job burnout. Specific measures can be taken to improve the level of mindfulness in medical staff, so as to prevent and alleviate job burnout of medical staff.

Abstract
Choline is an essential nutrient that plays an integral role in all stages of the life cycle, with increasing interest in the relationship between choline and neurodevelopment. Choline is a major component in the synthesis of phospholipids, phosphatidylcholine and sphingolipids, and is an essential nutrient for methyl metabolism, acetylcholine synthesis and cell signaling. Choline plays an important role in neurogenesis and neural migration during fetal development, potentially influencing the development and prognosis of neurological disorders, but its mechanism of action is not yet clear. This article reviews the source and metabolism of choline, the effects and mechanism of choline on neurodevelopment and central nervous system related disorders.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the pain status in diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: A single-center cross-sectional survey research method was used. From May 2021 to February 2022, DFU patients who were admitted to the Fourth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital and met the inclusion criteria were selected and investigated. The scores of the heaviest pain, the least pain, the average pain, and the current pain in pain degree and the total score and the scores of influence on patients' daily life, mood, walking ability, daily work, relationship with others, sleep, and life interest in pain-related effects and the total score of patients were evaluated by the brief pain inventory. A self-designed general data questionnaire was used to collect the data including patients' gender, age, education level, body mass index, self-care ability, diabetes course, wound Wagner grade, bacterial culture result of wound specimen, and the levels of glycated hemoglobin, albumin, prealbumin, hemoglobin, and leukocyte count. Patients were classified according to general data, and the total scores of pain degree and pain-related effects were counted. Data were statistically analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test. The indicators with statistically significant differences in univariate analysis were selected for generalized linear model analysis to screen the independent risk factors of pain severity and pain-related effects in DFU patients. Results: A total of 44 questionnaires were sent out, and 42 valid questionnaires were collected, with effective recovery of 95.45%. The scores of the heaviest pain, the least pain, the average pain, and the current pain in DFU patients were 5 (0, 10), 2 (0, 6), 3 (0, 8), and 2 (0, 8), respectively, and the total score of the pain severity was 11 (0, 24); the scores of pain-related effects on patients' daily life, mood, walking ability, daily work, relationship with others, sleep, and life interest were 4 (0, 10), 4 (0, 10), 5 (0, 10), 5 (0, 10), 3 (0, 10), 4 (0, 10), and 4 (0, 10), respectively, and the total score of pain-related effects was 30 (0, 63). In 42 DFU patients, most patients were male, aged 39-87 (67±10) years, most patients had education level of junior high school, most patients had diabetes for more than 20 years, half of patients' wounds were Wagner grade 4, most patients had body mass index and leukocyte count within normal limits, most patients had partial dependence on self-care ability, the bacterial culture results of wound specimen in the vast majority of patients were positive, about half of the patients had abnormal level of albumin, and most patients had abnormal levels of glycosylated hemoglobin, prealbumin, and hemoglobin. Univariate analysis of the above general data showed that total scores of pain severity among patients with different hemoglobin levels and leukocyte counts were statistically significant different (with Z values of -2.05 and -2.55, respectively, P<0.05), and the total scores of pain-related effects on patients with different hemoglobin levels, leukocyte counts, and bacterial culture results of wound specimen were statistically significant different (with Z values of -2.66, -2.02, and -2.12, respectively, P<0.05). Generalized linear model analysis showed that leukocyte count was an independent risk factor for pain severity and pain-related effects in 42 DFU patients (with 95% confidence intervals of 0.28-11.87 and 5.67-36.99, respectively, standardized regression coefficient values of 6.17 and 21.33, respectively, both P values <0.05). The bacterial culture result of wound specimen was an independent risk factor for pain-related effects in 42 DFU patients (with 95% confidence interval of 2.92-39.09, standardized regression coefficient value of 21.00, P<0.05). Conclusions: DFU patients often suffer pain, and the bacterial culture results of wound specimen and leukocyte count are the main factors affecting the pain of DFU patients.

Abstract
The prolongation of patient's overall survival is the accepted as gold standard to prove clinical values of anti-cancer drugs. However, if overall survival is taken as the primary endpoint in clinical trials for cancer types with a relatively good prognosis in the process of new anti-cancer drug research and development, the time to market the drugs will be prolonged due to the long follow-up time. In addition, overall survival is often interfered by confounding factors such as follow-up treatment. Therefore, regulatory agencies have established an accelerated review model using surrogate endpoints for the approval of new anti-cancer drugs, but there are still some problems in the use of surrogate endpoints in cancer clinical trials. From the perspective of new drug review, the authors expounds the key points of confirming and rationally using surrogate endpoints in clinical trials of anti-cancer drugs, which will improve the level of clinical trials of new anti-cancer drugs and accelerate the development of anti-tumor drugs.

Abstract
Booster immunization is the following vaccination after a period of vaccine primary immunization schedule in order to maintain immunity against a certain pathogen. In this article, the immunological mechanism of booster immunization is elaborated, and the effectiveness and public health value of booster immunization for common vaccines is discussed. Subsequently, three hot issues of general concern in booster immunization are addressed, and the public health viewpoint that "Primary immunization of vaccines is fundamental, and booster immunization is the guarantee" is emphasized, so as to raise awareness of the importance and necessity of booster immunization as well as to provide scientific evidences for vaccine immunization practice.

Abstract
Single-arm trial refers to a clinical trial design that does not set up parallel control group, adopts open design, and does not involve randomization and blind method. These features, on the one hand, speed up the process of clinical trials, significantly shorten the time to market and meet the needs of patients with advanced malignancies, but also lead to the uncertainty of single-arm clinical trials themselves. Recently, the US Food and Drug Administration held a meeting of the oncologic drug advisory committee to discuss six tumor indications that have been accelerated approved, which once again triggered the discussion of single-arm trials. The basis of accelerated approval by single-arm trial is actually a compromise on the level of evidence-based medical evidence requirements after assessing the benefit risk. Therefore, the sponsor should strictly grasp the applicable conditions of single-arm trial in anti-tumor drugs and conduct single-arm trial scientifically. Post-marketing clinical trial should be implement as early as possible to ensure the benefit of patients. Based on the characteristics of single-arm trial, combined with two guidance relevant to single-arm trial issued by National Medical Products Administration recently, this article is supposed to propose and summarize the strategy of single-arm trial supporting the marketing of anti-tumor drugs.

Abstract
Plants, grown in the immobile soils, have evolved various strategies in response to environmental stresses, including the "stress memory" and "defense priming" mechanisms. The environmental stresses cannot immediately change the DNA base sequence in plants in the short-term. Therefore, epigenetic inheritance is a key mechanism for stress memory and defense priming. In particular, histone modification is considered to be the most important mechanism, which offers the possibility of stress memory. We summarized research advances in plant histone modifications involved in stress memory and defense priming under biotic and abiotic stresses, and proposed pro-blems in the field and the focus and directions in the future research. In-depth understanding of the relationship between histone modification and environmental stresses would facilitate the quick adaptation of plants to harsh environments, and provide theoretical and technical guidance for plant phenotype shaping, organ regeneration, and crop genetic improvement.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the feasibility, safety and efficacy of intrathecal pemetrexed (IP) treated for patients with leptomeningeal metastases (LM) from solid tumors. Methods: Forty-seven patients receiving pemetrexed intrathecal chemotherapy in the First Hospital of Jilin University from 2017 to 2018 were selected. The study of pemetrexed intrathecal chemotherapy adopted the classical dose-climbing model and included 13 patients with meningeal metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer who had relapsed and refractory after multiple previous treatments including intrathecal chemotherapy. Based on the dose climbing study, 34 patients with meningeal metastasis of solid tumor who did not receive intrathecal chemotherapy were enrolled in a clinical study using pemetrexed as the first-line intrathecal chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy. Kaplan-Meier method and Log rank test were used for survival analysis, and Cox regression model was used for influencing factor analysis. Results: The dose climbing study showed that the maximum tolerated dose of pemetrexed intrathecal chemotherapy was 10 mg per single dose, and the recommended dosing regimen was 10 mg once or twice a week. The incidence of adverse reactions was 10 cases, including hematological adverse reactions (7 cases), transaminase elevation (2 cases), nerve root reactions (5 cases), fatigue and weight loss (1 case). The incidence of serious adverse reactions was 4, including grade 4-5 poor hematology (2 cases), grade 4 nerve root irritation (2 cases), and grade 4 elevated aminotransferase (1 case). In the dose climbing study, 4 patients were effectively treated and 7 were disease controlled. The survival time was ranged from 0.3 to 14.0 months and a median survival time was 3.8 months. The clinical study of pemetrexed intrathecal chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy showed that the treatment mode of 10 mg pemetrexed intrathecal chemotherapy once a week combined with synchronous involved area radiotherapy 40 Gy/4 weeks had a high safety and reactivity. The incidence of major adverse reactions was 52.9% (18/34), including hematologic adverse reactions (13 cases), transaminase elevation (10 cases), and nerve root reactions (4 cases). In study 2, the response rate was 67.6% (23/34), the disease control rate was 73.5% (25/34), the overall survival time was ranged from 0.3 to 16.6 months, the median survival time was 5.5 months, and the 1-year survival rate was 21.6%. Clinical response, improvement of neurological dysfunction, completion of concurrent therapy and subsequent systemic therapy were associated with the overall survival (all P<0.05). Conclusions: Pemetrexed is suitable for the intrathecal chemotherapy with a high safety and efficacy. The recommended administration regimen was IP at 10 mg on the schedule of once or twice per week. Hematological toxicity is the main factor affecting the implementation of IP. Vitamin supplement can effectively control the occurrence of hematological toxicity.

Abstract
Vitellin (Vn) homeostasis is central to the fecundity of oviparous insects. Most studies have focused on the synthesis and transportation of Vn as a building block for developing eggs during vitellogenesis; however, less is known about how the utilization of this nutrient reserve affects embryonic development. Here, we show that the single ortholog of the knirps and knirps-like nuclear receptors, KNRL, negatively regulates Vn breakdown by suppressing the expression of hydrolase genes in the brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens. KNRL was highly expressed in the ovary of adult females, and knockdown of KNRL by RNA interference resulted in the acceleration of Vn breakdown and the inhibition of embryonic development. Transcriptome sequencing analysis revealed that numerous hydrolase genes, including cathepsins and trypsins were up-regulated after KNRL knockdown. At least eight of the nine significantly enriched Gene Ontology terms for the up-regulated genes were in proteolysis-related categories. The expression levels of five selected trypsin genes and the enzymatic activities of trypsin in the embryos were significantly increased after KNRL knockdown. Moreover, trypsin injection prolonged egg duration, delayed embryonic development, accelerated Vn breakdown and severely reduced egg hatchability, a pattern similar to that observed in KNRL-silenced N. lugens. These observations suggest that KNRL controls Vn breakdown in embryos via the transcriptional inhibition of hydrolases. Generally, this study provides a foundation for understanding how embryo nutrient reserves are mobilized during embryogenesis and identifies several genes and pathways that may prove valuable targets for pest control.

Abstract
Background The rhomboids are a family of multi-transmembrane proteins, many of which have been implicated in facilitating tumor progression. Little is yet known, however, about rhomboid-associated biomarkers in cancers. An analysis of such biomarkers could yield important insights into the role of the rhomboids in cancer pathology. Methods In this study, we carried out the univariate Cox regression analysis and compared gene expression patterns of several rhomboid genes in 30 types of cancers by using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database and the methods delineated in Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA). We then used datasets GSE47032, GSE126964, GSE68417 and 75 paired pathological specimens to verify the influences of the rhomboid genes in cancer progression. Moreover, we carried out Weighted Gene Correlation Network Analysis (WGCNA) to investigate gene-related functions and we exploited potential correlations between rhomboid genes expression and immune cell infiltration in cancer tissues. Furthermore, we constructed gene-knockdown cancer cell lines to investigate rhomboid gene functions. Results We find that kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) disease progression is affected by fluctuations in the expression of a number of the rhomboid family of genes and, more specifically, high levels of RHBDF2 gene expression are a good indicator of poor prognosis of the disease, as patients with high RHBDF2 expression levels exhibit less favorable survival rates compared to those with low RHBDF2 levels. Silencing of the RHBDF2 gene in KIRC cell lines leads to significantly diminished cell proliferation and migration; this is in good agreement with the identification of an enhanced presence of a number of cell growth and migration promoting signaling molecules in KIRC tumors. We found that, although high level of RHBDF2 correlated with increased infiltration of lymphocytes in cancer tissues, artificially overexpressed RHBDF2 led to an inhibition of the activity of the infiltrated immune cells through sustaining PD-L1 protein level. Furthermore, we show that RHBDF2 related cell migration and PD-L1 regulation were potentially mediated by EGFR signaling pathway. Conclusions RHBDF2 gene functions are correlated to facilitated renal clear cell carcinoma progression and may serve as a critical prognostic biomarker for the disease. Abstract
PURPOSE Despite increasing research on posttraumatic growth (PTG) of spouses of cancer patients, and the positive effects of spouses' PTG on both spouses and patients, there is little information on PTG and its correlates among husbands of gynecological cancer survivors, especially those of newly diagnosed survivors. We aimed to assess PTG among spouses of newly diagnosed gynecological cancer survivors and to examine its correlates. METHODS In a cross-sectional study, a total of 400 spouses of newly diagnosed gynecological cancer survivors were recruited and completed questionnaires with information on general characteristics, rumination, self-disclosure, locus of control, and PTG. Univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were performed. RESULTS The mean score of PTG among the spouses was 57.77 (SD = 12.03). There were significant differences in PTG among spouses with different education levels, marriage duration, number of children, per capita monthly income, other traumatic events within 6 months, and time since diagnosis groups. Pearson's correlation analysis revealed that deliberate rumination, self-disclosure, and locus of control were significantly associated with PTG. The multiple regression model revealed that 53.6% of the variance in PTG was explained by marriage duration, time since diagnosis, self-disclosure, deliberate rumination, and internality locus of control. CONCLUSIONS This study was one of the early attempts in evaluating PTG among spouses of newly diagnosed gynecological cancer survivors and identified several significant, potentially modifiable factors (self-disclosure, deliberate rumination, and internality locus of control) associated with PTG, providing an important guide for the development of effective psychosocial interventions for this population.

Abstract
Prunus mume is one of the most ancient medicinal herbs and health foods commonly used in Asian countries. It is widely used as a constituent of many medicinal preparations and as a food ingredient for its beneficial health effects. In this review, we retrieved reports from PubMed, embase, Scopus, and SciFinder databases, to collect extensive scientific evidence on the phytochemical constituents, pharmacological properties, and clinical applications of Prunus mume. The literature review revealed that approximately 192 compounds have been isolated from different parts of the plant, and their molecular structures have been identified. The pharmacological properties of the plant, including anti-diabetic, liver-protective, antitumor, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory activities, as well as their underlying mechanisms, have been clarified by in vitro and in vivo studies. Clinical studies, although very limited, have been highlighted in this review to provide a reference for further exploration on therapeutic applications of the plant.

Abstract
Self-management is essential for patients who require regular hemodialysis treatment. This study aimed to explore the relationships between social support, sense of coherence (SOC), and self-management in hemodialysis patients and to examine whether SOC plays a mediating role. In a cross-sectional study, 402 hemodialysis patients from four tertiary hospitals were recruited. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Social support, SOC, and self-management were significantly correlated with each other. The proposed model provided a good fit to the data. Social support had a direct effect on self-management and SOC, partially mediated the effect of social support on self-management (β = 0.248, p = 0.001). Social support and SOC explained 69% of the variance in self-management. Our findings indicate that health care providers can enhance social support with an emphasis on strengthening SOC strategies to better improve self-management in hemodialysis patients.

Abstract
We aimed to explore the anti-inflammatory activity of mollugin extracted from Rubia cordifolia L, a traditional Chinese medicine, on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis (UC) in mice. Thirty C57BL/6 mice were divided into a control group (n=6), a model group (n=6), and three experimental groups (40, 20, 10 mg/kg of mollugin, n=6 each). DSS solution (3%) was given to mice in the model group and experimental groups from day 4 to day 10 to induce the mouse UC model. Mice in the experimental groups were intragastrically administrated mollugin from day 1 to day 10. Animals were orally given distilled water in the control group for the whole experiment time and in the model group from day 1 to day 3. The changes in colon pathology were detected by hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining. Interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in the serum, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interferon-γ (IFN) in the tissues were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Expression levels of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and myeloid differentiation factor 88 in the colon tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results showed that mollugin could significantly reduce weight loss and the disease activity index in the DSS-induced UC mouse model. HE examinations demonstrated that mollugin treatment effectively improved the histological damage (P<0.05). The overproduction of IL-1β and TNF-α was remarkably inhibited by mollugin treatment at doses of 20 and 40 mg/kg (P<0.05). Additionally, the levels of TLR4 in colon tissues were significantly reduced in mollugin-treated groups compared with the DSS group. Our findings demonstrated that mollugin ameliorates DSS-induced UC by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory chemocytokines.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the detection of group A rotavirus (RVA) in domestic sewage and its molecular epidemiological characteristics, and further explore the feasibility and necessity of RVA environmental surveillance. Methods: From 2016 to 2018, we collected domestic sewage samples monthly in Jinan city, and concentrated them via anion membrane adsorption-elution method. Then RNA extraction and RVA VP7 and VP4 coding region RT-PCR amplification were performed. After purification, TA cloning and sequencing, homology analysis and phylogenetic analysis were conducted on the obtained sequences. Results: RVA G gene was detected in 31 of the 36 sewage samples (86.1% detection rate); RVA P genotype was detected in 33 samples (91.7% detection rate). A total of 536 RVA sequences were obtained, of which 225 G-type sequences belonged to 6 genotypes, and the G9 accounted for 92.4% (208/225); 311 P-type sequences were obtained, which belonged to 4 genotypes. The dominant P[8] accounted for 50.1% (156/311), followed by P[4] with 41.8% (130/311). Phylogenetic analysis shows that there were multiple transmission chains circulating in the dominant genotypes G9 and P[8]. Conclusion: The genotype, homology, and phylogenetic characteristics of sequences obtained from domestic sewage in Jinan area were described, which further confirmeing that RVA environmental surveillance is not feasible but also necessary.

Abstract
This cross-sectional study assessed the overall symptom burden, including the prevalence, frequency, severity, and distress of symptoms among hemodialysis patients, and explored the relationship between demographic characteristics, clinical variables, self-management, sense of coherence, social support, and symptom burden in these patients. Herein, a regression analysis was performed to determine associations with symptom burden. The mean score of symptom burden among the participants (n = 382) was 74.12, with an average number of 12 symptoms. The analysis revealed that self-management, sense of coherence, and social support were negatively associated with the overall symptom burden. The multiple regression model showed that 48.6% of the variance in symptom burden was explained by meaningfulness, emotional management, daily urine output, subjective support, gender, and manageability. These findings contribute to the knowledge of symptom burden among hemodialysis patients and some new predictors (self-management, sense of coherence, and social support) of their symptom burden.

Abstract
Pest management, which is critical for global crop productivity, is hampered by rapidly evolving insecticide resistance in insect pests. The ability to manage the development of insecticide resistance is thus vital. Nitric oxide (NO) is a ubiquitous signaling molecule with important functions in a variety of biological processes. Here we show that imidacloprid-resistant brown planthoppers (BPH) are deficient in citrulline and arginine, both of which are involved in NO production, but exogenous citrulline and arginine render resistant BPH vulnerable to imidacloprid. BPH insecticide resistance results from low NO production; exogenous arginine and citrulline augment the NO signaling in BPH, leading to downregulation of CYP6AY1 and CYP6ER1, the cytochrome P450 s that contribute to imidacloprid detoxification, thereby restoring susceptibility. Two amino acids that can be used to restore susceptibility in insecticide-resistant insects are identified, establishing a novel metabolome-based approach for killing insecticide-resistant pests and providing a useful template for managing insecticide resistance.

Abstract
Despite the plethora of significant research progress made to develop novel strategies for the treatment of prostate cancer, this disease remains one of the major global health challenges among men. However, using a co-treatment approach utilizing two or more anticancer drugs has shown tremendous success in the treatment of many cancer types. Nanoliposomes are well known to encapsulate multiple drugs and deliver them at the desired site. In this work, we report the synthesis of nanoliposomes (∼100 nm) encapsulating two drugs, plumbagin, and genistein, to synergistically inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells. The combination of plumbagin and genistein drugs was found inhibiting xenograft prostate tumor growth by ∼80 % without any appreciable toxicity. Mechanistically, the combination of plumbagin and genistein containing nanoliposomes leads to the inhibition of PI3K/AKT3 signaling pathway as well as the decreased population of Glut-1 transporters to impart the retardation in tumor growth. Decrease in proliferative cells and blood vessels are early biological processes that laid the foundation of the observed anti-tumor effect. Thus, a novel, and non-toxic liposomal formulation, containing plumbagin and genistein drugs, is reported, which can deliver anticancer agents to prostate tumors and inhibit the growth.

Abstract
Lung cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer and the most common cause of cancer mortality in China. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for about 85% of lung cancers. The mutation rate of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene is relatively high, accounts for 32%~38% of all NSCLC. During the last decade, the application of EGFR specific tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) significantly improved prognosis of NSCLC patients with sensitive EGFR mutations. Thus, the research and development of third generation EGFR-TKI have entered the period of rapid development. The fourth generation EGFR-TKI which targeting EGFR C797S has even begun clinical development in China. This review will discuss the clinical research and drug review of EGFR-TKI from the perspective of drug review.

Abstract
The data were drawn from injury hospitalization surveillance system in Shandong province. From 2012 to 2018, 164 cases of acute occupational poisoning were reported from five surveillance counties (cities, districts), accounting for 6.11% (164/2 683) of total accidental poisoning cases. The annual average reported incidence of acute occupational poisoning hospitalization was 1.15/100 000. The number of male cases was 3.3 times that of females (126 vs 38). The poisoning cases mainly occurred between January to May in a year and 5-7 AM within a day. Those cases were mainly caused by irritating gases (92 cases, 56.10%) and asphyxiating gases (53 cases, 32.32%), of which chlorine (71 cases) and carbon monoxide (50 cases) were the main reasons. The average hospitalization medical cost of acute occupational poisoning cases was 7 278.81 RMB per case.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) features of apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ApHCM) patients complicating with left ventricular apical aneurysm (LVAA). Methods: CMR confirmed 25 ApHCM patients complicating with LVAA from January 2010 to December 2017 in Fuwai hospital were included in this study, and the baseline clinical data and CMR characteristics were retrospectively analyzed. There were 14 pure ApHCM (hypertrophy limited at the apical segments) complicating with LVAA patients and 11 mixed ApHCM (predominantly apical hypertrophy along with thickening of contiguous non-apical left ventricular region) with LVAA patients. Results: In this patient cohort,age of 84% (21/25) patients ranged between 20-70 years old, and 68% (17/25) were male. There were 68% (17/25) patients with complaint of chest distress symptom, 56% (14/25) with complaint of chest pain, 32% (8/25) with complaint of palpitation,16% (4/25) with complaint of dyspnea, and 12% (3/25) presented as syncope. ST-T segment changes of electrocardiogram were observed in all patients, and giant negative T waves were detected in 80% patients (20/25). The rate of missed diagnosis by echocardiography for detecting ApHCM and LVAA was 16% (4/25) and 68% (17/25), respectively. CMR showed discrete thin-walled dyskinetic or akinetic segment of the most distal portion of the left ventricular chamber in ApHCM patients with LVAA. Transmural late gadolinium enhancement of the aneurysmal rim was detected in 76% (19/25) patients, and the maximum transverse dimension of aneurysm was bigger in patients with transmural late gadolinium enhancement than in patients without transmural late gadolinium enhancement ((22.0±10.8)mm vs. (11.7±4.0) mm, P=0.033). Conclusion: ApHCM with LVAA patients have distinct cardiac clinical features, and CMR is the most useful tool for the accurate and objective evaluation of this disease.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the dose-response relationship between hemoglobin concentration and preterm birth, during pregnancy. Methods: With Zhuang ethnicity, a total of 12 780 pregnant women and their infants that admitted to Wuming、Pingguo、Jingxi、Debao、Longan and Tiandong hospitals, were recruited, in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from January 2015 to December 2017. Non-conditional logistic regression method was used to analyze the effect of anemia on preterm birth during pregnancy. Dose-response relationship between hemoglobin concentration and preterm birth was explored, using the restrictive cubic spline model. Results: After excluding 2 053 pregnant women with hypertension or aged 35 years and over, results from the non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of preterm birth in the anemia group was 1.29 times (OR=1.29, 95%CI: 1.04-1.59, P=0.019) of the non-anemia group in the first trimester. Data from the restricted cubic sample showed that there appeared nonlinear "L" dose-response relationship between hemoglobin concentration and preterm birth in the first trimester and "U" shape in the third trimester (non-linearity test P<0.001). Conclusion: There appeared nonlinear dose-response relationship between the hemoglobin concentration and preterm birth, both in the first and third trimesters.

Abstract
Purpose: The aim of this phase Ib study (clinicaltrials.gov: NCT01772732) was to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PKs) of simotinib (a novel EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor) in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and EGFR gene mutation. Patients and methods: 41 patients with EGFR gene mutations were enrolled and received simotinib orally administered twice daily with dose escalating from 100 to 650 mg in 28 days cycle. Safety and tolerability were assessed through the study. Blood samples were collected for PK analysis on Days 1, 8, 9, 10, 15, 22 and 29. Tumor response was assessed at baseline, on Day 29 and every 8 weeks thereafter. Results: Simotinib was well tolerated, with no dose-limiting toxicities. Maximum tolerated dose (MTD) was not found. 95.1% of patients experienced at least one adverse event (AE), and most of them were mild or moderate. Rash (41.5%) and diarrhea (56.1%) were the most frequently reported AEs. Simotinib was rapidly absorbed and eliminated with average Tmax ranging from 1 to 4 hrs and T1/2 ranging between 6.2 and 13.0 hrs after multiple-dose administration. No dose–response relationship between dose and exposure was observed after multiple-dose administration. 39.3% of the enrolled patients achieved a partial response and 46.3% had stable disease. Median progression-free survival and overall survival were 9.9 (CI% 4.7; 12.1) months and 14.6 (95%CI 12.3; 22.5) months, respectively. Conclusion: Simotinib was well tolerated, with manageable AEs at doses of up to 650 mg and MTD was not reached. Further studies to explore higher doses are ongoing.

Abstract
Diterpenoids are the main secondary metabolites of plants and with a range of biological activities. In the present study, 7 compounds were isolated from the hulls of rice (Oryza sativa L.). Among them, 3 diterpenoids are new namely, 3,20-epoxy-3α-hydroxy- 8,11,13-abietatrie-7-one (1), 4,6-epoxy-3β-hydroxy-9β-pimara-7,15-diene (2) and 2-((E)-3- (4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) allylidene) momilactone A (3). While, 4 terpenoids are known, namely momilactone A (4), momilactone B (5), ent-7-oxo-kaur-15-en-18-oic acid (6) and orizaterpenoid (7). The structures of these diterpenoids were elucidated using 1D and 2D NMR in combination with ESI-MS and HR-EI-MS. Furthermore, all isolated compounds displayed antifungal activities against four crop pathogenic fungi Magnaporthe grisea, Rhizoctonia solani, Blumeria graminearum and Fusarium oxysporum, and phytotoxicity against paddy weed Echinochloa crusgalli. The results suggested that rice could produce plenty of secondary metabolites to defense against weeds and pathogens.

Abstract
Herbivore attack leads to enhanced production of defensive compounds to mount anti-herbivore defense in plants via activation of the jasmonate signaling pathway. On the other hand, some herbivores can eavesdrop on plants defense signaling and up-regulate their cytochrome P450 genes to increase detoxification of defensive compounds. However, the ecological risk of eavesdropping on plant defense signaling is largely unknown. In this study, we examined the induction of cytochrome P450s by methyl jasmonate (MeJA) and its consequence on the toxicity of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) to Helicoverpa armigra larvae. The results show that MeJA applications either in a diet or volatile exposure enhanced the toxicity of AFB1 to the larvae. RNA sequences analysis revealed that cytochrome P450 CYP6AE19 was highly induced when MeJA was applied with AFB1. In addition, HaGST encoding glutathione-S-transferase that mainly transforms aflatoxin B1 exo-8,9-epoxide to aflatoxin B1 exo-8,9-glutathione was also induced. RNA interference of CYP6AE19 via injecting a double-stranded RNA decreased mortality of larvae exposed to AFB1; while injecting a double-stranded RNA of HaGST increased larval mortality. Furthermore, a protein model was generated and a subsequent docking simulation for AFB1 suggests the bioactivation as a major mechanism of AFB1. This study provides evidence that MeJA increased larval mortality of H. armigera via induction of CYP6AE19 that can bioactivate AFB1.

Abstract
Cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a polyphagous lepidopteran pest distributed worldwide with a broad spectrum of host plants. However, the mechanism of H. armigera adaptation to various insecticides and defensive allelochemicals in its host plants is not fully understood. Therefore, this study examined the influence of consumption of plant allelochemicals on larval tolerance to methomyl and chlorpyrifos insecticides in H. armigera and its possible mechanism. Twelve plant allelochemicals were screened to evaluate their effects on larval sensitivity to methomyl. Of which flavone, coumarin, DIMBOA (2,4-Dihydroxy-7-methoxy-1,4-benzoxazin-3-one) and visnagin significantly reduced larval sensitivity to methomyl. Application of cytochrome P450 inhibitor piperonyl butoxide (PBO) significantly increased the mortality of methomyl-treated larvae. In contrast, PBO addition significantly decreased the mortality of chlorpyrifos-treated larvae. Moreover, allelochemical consumption enhanced the activities of glutathione S-transferase, carboxylesterase, cytochrome P450 and acetylcholinesterase in the midgut and fat body. The qRT-PCR analysis confirms that P450 genes, CYP6B2, CYP6B6 and CYP6B7 were induced by the four allelochemicals in the midguts and the fat bodies. In conclusion, the generalist H. armigera can take benefit of plant allelochemicals from its host plants to elaborate its defense against insecticides.

Abstract
The heterotrophic-autotrophic reactor including two chambers, that is, the lower part of the heterotrophic zone and the upper part of the autotrophic zone, was used to remove highly concentrated perchlorate (ClO4-) wastewater. The reduction characteristics of ClO4- and the effluent sulfur (SO42-) concentration were investigated using different influent ClO4- concentrations and C/Cl ratios. By adjusting the influent C/Cl ratio from 2 to 1, the reactor was started up successfully within 36 d. The microorganisms tolerated the high concentration of ClO4- (250-400 mg·L-1) and the ClO4- removal efficiency was higher than 95%. By adjusting the C/Cl ratio to 1.2, the ClO4- load in the autotrophic zone was reduced and the SO42- concentration in the effluent was controlled below 250 mg·L-1. The result show that tryptophan and tyrosine materials in soluble microbial products led to the TOC increase in the effluent of the autotrophic zone. The sludge yield was reduced because of heterotrophic and autotrophic processes. The alkalinity produced by the heterotrophic process was used as carbon source for the autotrophic process and to neutralize the acidity produced by the autotrophic process, representing the complementary function and avoiding the addition of alkalinity in the autotrophic process.

Abstract
Atom probe tomography (APT) coupling high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) was used to analyze the fraction and compositions of different nanoparticles in two-stage double peaks aging process of Al-Zn-Mg alloy. Al content is found to be closely related to the size of nanoparticles and it can be greater than ~ 50.0 at. % in the nanoparticle with the equivalent radius under ~ 3.0 nm. Correspondingly, Al content of the nanoparticle, with the equivalent radius over ~ 5.0 nm, is measured under ~ 40.0 at. %. Evolution from Guinier-Preston (G.P.) zone to η phase is a growing process where Mg and Zn atoms enter the nanoparticle, therefore rejecting Al atoms. G.P. zones can take up a number fraction of ~ 85.0 and ~ 22.7% of nanoparticles in the first and second peak-aged samples, respectively, and even in the over-aged (T73) sample, they can still be found. As aging time increases, fraction of η' phases monotonically rises to the peak value (~ 54.5%) in the second peak-aged state and then drops, which is significant for the second hardness peak and directly proves their function as the transitional medium. In T73 state, ~ 63.3% nanoparticles compose of η phases, which were measured to still contain ~ 10.2 to ~ 36.4 at. % Al atoms.

Abstract
CONTEXT Hemodialysis (HD) patients experience a heavy symptom burden that leads to a decreased quality of life. Pharmacological treatment is effective but costly and has adverse effects. Exercise is a promising approach for symptom management, but the effect of exercise on restless legs syndrome (RLS), depression, sleep quality, and fatigue in HD patients is still uncertain. OBJECTIVES This meta-analysis was conducted to identify whether exercise training is beneficial in the treatment of the symptoms of RLS, depression, poor sleep quality, and fatigue in patients receiving HD. METHODS A systematic search of PubMed, Embase, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, PsycINFO, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Web of Science was conducted to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing exercise training with routine care on RLS, depression, sleep quality, and fatigue among HD patients. Quality assessment was conducted using the Cochrane risk of bias tool, and RevMan 5.3 was used to analyze the data. RESULTS Fifteen RCTs that met our inclusion criteria were included. The pooled effect size showed that exercise training was effective on RLS (P < 0.001), depression (P < 0.001), and fatigue (P < 0.001). However, effect size combinations for sleep quality were not performed owing to the sensitivity analysis results. CONCLUSION Exercise training may help HD patients to reduce the severity of RLS, depression, and fatigue. More high-quality RCTs with larger samples and comparative RCTs focused on different exercise regimens are needed.

Abstract
Three autotrophic packed-bed reactors, each with a different sulfur/quartz sand ratio(R1, 2:1; R2, 1:1; R3, 1:2,)were used to remove high-concentration perchlorate from contaminated water. The perchlorate removal efficiency, kinetics, and biofilm of the reactors were studied using different perchlorate concentrations and hydraulic retention times (HRTs). The perchlorate removal efficiency decreased with higher perchlorate concentration and shorter HRT, and the removal efficiency of R1 was higher than of R2 and R3. The maximum removal loading of R1 was 2.18 kg·(m3·d)-1at an HRT of 3.2 h and perchlorate concentration of 300 mg·L-1. The half-order kinetics model fit the reactors' experimental data well; the reaction rate constants of R1, R2, and R3 were 8.036, 6.596, and 4.212 mg1/2·(L1/2·h)-1. The yield of SO42- was greater than the stoichiometric yield of sulfur autotrophic reduction owing to sulfur disproportionation. The disproportionation was inhibited with a higher perchlorate concentration or shorter HRT. Moreover, disproportionation of R3 was the weakest because the SO42- yield of R3 was lower than of R1 and R2. The pH and alkalinity of the effluent increased with lower perchlorate concentration and shorter HRT. The development of biofilm in R2 and R3 was better than in R1. The secretion of extracellular polymeric substances can promote the formation of biofilm.

Abstract
AIM To evaluate the effects of Internet plus telephone follow-up nursing in patients after cholecystectomy.
METHODS Ninety-eight patients with cholecystolithiasis who underwent cholecystectomy from January 2014 to January 2017 at our hospital were randomly divided into either an observation group (49 cases) to receive Internet plus telephone follow-up nursing, or a control group (49 cases) to receive telephone follow-up nursing. The patients were followed for 3 mo. The nursing satisfaction scale, Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-rating Depression Scale and the quality of life scale (SF-36) were used to assess and compare the satisfaction to nursing care, anxiety, depression and quality in the two groups, respectively.
RESULTS After 3 mo of nursing, the satisfaction to nursing, SAS and SDS scores were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group (76.22 ± 7.98 vs 65.43 ± 10.74, 35.13 ± 5.12 vs 44.64 ± 6.71, 32.05 ± 4.54 vs 40.21 ± 5.78, P < 0.05). The scores of physiological function, physiological role and social function were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (83.12 ± 9.01 vs 70.19 ± 8.21, 85.08 ± 7.46 vs 77.16 ± 7.91, 88.62 ± 9.52 vs 80.32 ± 9.65, P < 0.05). The rate of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (6.12% vs 16.33%, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION Internet plus telephone follow-up nursing can improve patients' anxiety, depression, and quality of life, and is conducive to the rehabilitation of the disease.

Abstract
Rice ratooning is practiced in many rice-growing countries for achieving increased rice production with limited labour input. Here, we report that attack by insect herbivores, or treatment with a defense signaling compound in parent plants, can prime anti-herbivore defense responses in subsequent ratoon plants. We compared the defense responses of rice ratoons generated from parent plants that had been either infested by Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (rice leaffolder, LF) caterpillars or treated with methyl jasmonate (MeJA) during vegetative growth, with ratoons generated from control parent plants. Ratoon plants generated from parents receiving prior LF infestation or MeJA treatment exhibited higher jasmonic acid (JA) levels, as well as elevated levels of transcripts of defense-related genes associated with JA signaling. In addition, elevated activities of peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase and trypsin protease inhibitor were observed, as well as enhanced resistance towards subsequent LF infestation. Pre-priming of ratoon defense responses was significantly reduced in plants where expression of OsAOS (allene oxide synthase, involved in JA biosynthesis) or OsCOI1 (CORONATINE INSENSITIVE1, involved in JA perception) was inhibited by RNA interference. Our results indicate that herbivore exposure or MeJA treatment in rice parent plants enhances anti-herbivore resistance in subsequently generated ratoons through priming of JA-mediated defenses.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the feasibility and security of robotic resection of tumor in segment Ⅷ primarily. Methods: The clinicopathologic data of 7 patients who underwent robotic resection of tumor in segment Ⅷ using daVinci robotic system in the Department of Hepato-pancreato-biliary Surgical Oncology, Chinese PLA General Hospital from June 2016 to December 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. The lesion size, the tumor malignance degree mean operation time, intraoperative blood loss and the rate of conversion to laparotomy, postoperative hospital stay, mobidity and motality of all the 7 patients were collected. Results: All the 7 operations were successfully performed with radical resection.The mean tumor diameter was (4.6±1.2)cm. The mean operation time, intraoperative blood loss and postoperative hospital stay were(120.7±21.7)min, (100±106.7)ml, and(7.3±1.8)days respectively.All the patients were discharged successfully with no severe complications. Conclusions: According to our experiences, as a new operationmodel of minimally invasive surgery, robotic resection of tumor in segment Ⅷ has manyadvantages in laparoscopic like less trauma, less intraoperative bleeding, light postoperative pain, shorter postoperative hospital stay and so on. There are some certain advantages in exposure of Ⅷ segment under robotic surgery system. Robotic surgery system is safe and feasible for tumorresection of segmentⅧ, andhas clinical promoting value and application prospect.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to prospectively investigate the incidence of ventilator associated events (VAEs) in intensive care units (ICUs) among adult patients, and to evaluate the correlation between VAEs and ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP). METHODS A prospective 3-month cohort study (January 2015 to March 2015) was carried out. VAEs were divided into three groups: with ventilator-associated condition (VAC), with infection related ventilator-associated complication (IVAC) and with possible VAP (PVAP). Sensitivity and specificity of VAEs were evaluated and compared to the traditional VAP. Kappa test was applied to judge the consistency of VAC and VAP. RESULTS During Jan. 2015 and Mar. 2015, 1 014 patients were admitted to 8 ICUs, with 7 977 patients per day. In total, 197 patients used the mechanical ventilation installation, with, a total number of 3 152 ventilator-days. Finally, 1 214 ventilation days in the VAC group and 1 938 ventilation days in the non-VAC group) that were available for final analysis. 46 VAC cases were identified including 22 classified as IVAC (14.59 and 6.98 per 1 000 ventilation days, respectively). Length of ICU stay and duration on mechanical ventilation for VAC patients were both significantly longer than those for non-VAC patients (P<0.05). Sensitivity and specificity of the VAC criteria for the detection of VAP were 36.92% and 83.33%, respectively. CONCLUSION The VAEs surveillance paradigms could be applied to monitor patients on the use of mechanical ventilation installation. However, sensitivity and specificity of VAC were under pool for the diagnosis of VAP. However, automatically surveillance programs was relied on the improvement of auto-information systems.

Abstract
The effects of perchlorate concentration and hydraulic retention time (HRT) on perchlorate reduction characteristics were investigated in a sulfur-based perchlorate reduction reactor.The results showed that the perchlorate was completely removed at HRT of 12 h and the influent perchlorate concentration ranged from 50 mg·L-1 to 194 mg·L-1;The perchlorate removal efficiency was 74% at HRT of 4 h and the influent perchlorate concentration was 194 mg·L-1;The yield of sulfate was increased by increasing the influent perchlorate concentration and HRT;The influent pH and alkalinity was approximately 8.0 and 500 mg·L-1 CaCO3,and the effluent pH and alkalinity was approximately 6.7 and 100 mg·L-1 CaCO3,respectively;The oxidation reduction potential (ORP) ranged from -380 mV to -330 mV at the bottom of the reactor,however,ORP ranged from -300 mV to -250 mV at the top of the reactor;The molecular biological analysis showed that the microbial consortium structure was different along the flow path in the reactor,Sulfurovum which is known to oxidize sulfur was decreased from 57.78% to 32.19% and Hydrogenophilaceae which is known to oxidize hydrogen sulfide was increased from 4.35% to 22.24%.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Emphysematous change on computed tomography (CT) during the stable phase of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is reported to correlate with COPD prognosis. Acute exacerbation of COPD (AECOPD) is associated with a high risk of mortality and a poor prognosis. AIMS This study aims to study the relationship between prognosis and emphysematous changes on CT during an AECOPD. METHODS Histories were recorded, and CT acquired for 106 patients who visited the emergency department for an AECOPD. Emphysematous change was quantified by measuring the percentage of low-attenuation areas (LAA%) in the entire lung on CT images with a threshold of -950 Hounsfield units. Other factors that could influence AECOPD prognosis were also recorded on admission and analysed. At follow ups conducted in 1 year, patient survival, the modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) Dyspnoea Scale, and performance status (PS) were evaluated, and a COPD Assessment Test (CAT) was completed. RESULTS The 1-year follow up was completed by 103 of 106 patients. The median LAA% was significantly higher in non-survivors (11%, n = 16) than in survivors (5.69%, n = 87) (P = 0.006) at the 1-year follow up. LAA% was significantly correlated with mMRC grade (r = 0.285, P = 0.008), PS (r = 0.397, P < 0.001) and CAT score (r = 0.27, P = 0.017) at the 3-month follow up, and with mMRC grade (r = 0.405, P < 0.001) and PS (r = 0.377, P < 0.001) at the 1-year follow up. LAA% > 7.5% was a significant predictor of 1-year mortality, higher mMRC and PS at the 3-month and 1-year follow ups, after adjustment for other prognostic predictors. CONCLUSION Obvious emphysematous changes on CT (LAA% > 7.5%) during an AECOPD predicts a poor prognosis independent of other known indicators.
